CITY BABE (7) is another well-bred filly who catches the eye. BEETLEJUICE (2) has Maxime Guyon booked, which could be a notable sign and warrants respect.

    Summary: RUSSIPANT FAL (6) failed to show his true ability in Dubai over the winter but is suited by this distance and could make a bold bid if back to his best. AMERICAN LAWYER (2) didn’t fire on the PSF earlier this month, but his only win came on turf and he poses a genuine threat. DEVIL IN THE SKY (1) has improved this year and warrants respect. CAMERON (5) is progressing steadily and could also be involved in the finish.

  22. SPINELLO – Victorious in a handicap at Fontainebleau over 3000m on 1 April. Holding form well but does carry a 2kg penalty for the last win

  24. GUINESS STAR – Victorious in a handicap at Fontainebleau over 3000m on 1 April. Unreliable but does deserve respect for the last win and can make the frame
  25. ORLHENA – Not disgraced when 3rd in a claimer at Evreux over 2500m on 15 April. Needs to do more to beat these rivls but might sneak some minor money
  26. LA TEMPLIERE – Has only been moderate this year and was 7th in a handicap at Fontainebleau over 3000m on 1 April. Others make more appeal
  27. BLACK SAXON – Only modest of late and was 6th in a conditions race at Salon-de-Provence over 2400m on 17 April. Needs to do more to win this race
  28. LORENZO DE MEDICI – Finished 6th in a handicap at Fontainebleau over 3000m on 1 April. Victorious in February in a claimer but more is needed to beat these rivals
  29. KINGDOM – Finished 9th in a handicap at Fontainebleau over 3000m on 1 April. A winner of his previous two starts and is not out of it
  30. KLASSIC PRECIEUX – Unreliable and was 6th in a conditions hurdle at Auteuil over 3600m on 15 April. Victorious in March but others are preferred
  31. TURANIA – Finished 14th in a handicap at ParisLongchamp over 2400m on 13 April. Capable of doing better but needs to find a few lengths to win
  32. BARBADIN – Victorious in a handicap at Saint-Cloud over 3100m on 18 April. Very unreliable but does deserve respect in this line-up
    Summary: A very competitive-looking handicap. TIC TAC (2) failed to show his best when finishing tenth behind several of these rivals, but he is clearly capable of better and could bounce back to score. MORRADI (3) is still a maiden after five starts but wasn’t disgraced last time out and has scope for significant improvement. SUPER ALEX (4) remains in good form and should be involved in the finish once again. GUINESS STAR (8) was a good winner last time but is not the most reliable.

    Summary: NASHOBA (4) is a well-bred Persian King colt trained by André Fabre and should be primed for his debut—he looks the one to side with first time out. ROYAL BAY CEN (11) made a promising start on debut and is open to plenty of improvement. CARO BUONO (2) surprised on debut but would not be a shock winner this time and deserves the utmost respect. ROZARION (5) makes his debut for a trainer who knows how to ready a newcomer and should be taken seriously.

    Summary: An interesting contest. Winner of the last two editions of this Group 2, TRIBALIST (2) finished behind NO LUNCH (6) when they met at Chantilly but clearly needed that run and should be better suited back on turf—he could turn the tables. NO LUNCH (6) struggled at Meydan but is capable of bouncing back and remains a threat. ZOOM (7) needed his recent outing and should be fitter now; he’s expected to be involved at the finish. OZAT (1) faces stronger opposition this time but is on the upgrade and shouldn’t be ruled out.

The well-bred CANNEZA (14) has been supplemented for this race and warrants maximum respect on debut. SUMMER SAIL (6) ran well on debut and is likely to improve with that experience under her belt. OTOMAI (3) drops in trip from his first outing and is open to progress.

SINERGY AA (3) is a well-bred colt from a strong maternal line and could be a threat on debut. DIVINE DE LENZAC AA (6) showed promise on debut and may have more to offer with that experience.

FLAMB’EUSE AA (9) is open to progress and could sneak into the frame.

    Summary: A small field for this lucky last, but four of the six runners have genuine winning claims. ALREEM (4) is still a maiden but has been very consistent and should make a bold bid. GHAIDAA (5) returned from a break in good form and has every chance of going one better this time. AZAD (2) showed marked improvement at Mont-de-Marsan and would not be a surprise winner. HUALA (6) has been disappointing this year but could take this if rediscovering last season’s form.
