C1 – PRIX CONFRERIE DE NOGENT (PX J. GABIN) – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class C Race – Harness – EUR € 68,000

  1. GAMIN DE MAHEY – Got the year off to a good start but has struggled since, latterly last but one in a 2700m Class C here earlier in the month, and is unlikely to influence the result
  2. IBIZA BELLA – In the frame in last 3, most recently good 2nd of 16 to JE REVE DU BOIS (3) in a 2850m Maure-de-Bretagne Gr.3 on 23 April. Enjoys a decent spot behind the car and looks a respectable place prospect
  3. JE REVE DU BOIS – Ran 2nd in a monte Class C before easily winning a 2850m Maure-de-Bretagne Gr.3 on 23 April. Matthieu Abrivard in the bike this time and is ideally-positioned to give this a good go. Attention
  4. IACYNTHE DIDJEAP – Quality element making first start since running 3rd of 16 in a 2850m Class D here in early-February. Stays shod for comeback and best to hold off
  5. HOLD UP RANAIS – Unable to confirm Enghien performance when 11th of 13 in a 2850m Laval Class D 3 weeks ago. Boasts decent references over 2100m here though and from the 5-spot can play a part
  6. JOLIE SURPRISE – Plainly full of running when sanctioned in a 2850m Maure-de-Bretagne Gr.3 on 23 April and Eric Raffin will be determined to set the record straight. Claim
  7. NINEPOINTS LASSE – Quality dual-discipline type that won a Class D over course and distance earlier in the month and is easy to like for the double
  8. ENJOY THE GAME – Pleasantly surprising 5th of 16 in a 2150m Enghien Class C on 19 April. Pulled a difficult number but still has the wherewithal to make first 5
  9. CHARMY CHARLY AS – Unlucky 7th of 11 in a 2700m Class C here on 12 April. Not ideally-drawn but has form under these conditions and, given Benjamin Rochard’s form, must be considered a player
  10. JIBI DU FRUITIER – 4th of 15 in a 2800m Cholet Class E 2.5 weeks ago but in this company will have nothing to offer
  11. GARDE A VOUS – Unraced since being sanctioned in a 2700m Class C at Le Croise-Laroche last November and can be confidently disregarded
    Summary: Tenacious winner under these conditions a fortnight ago, NINEPOINTS LASSE (7) has once again pulled the 7-spot but excels with Alexandre Abrivard and can double up. They will still feel the heat from JOLIE SURPRISE (6) who has won 2 of 3 for Eric Raffin, and the better-placed JE REVE DU BOIS (3) who goes barefoot after comfortably winning a Gr.3 in the provinces last month. Runner-up to him that day, IBIZA BELLA (2) is a model of consistency and is clearly close to her race.

  12. IRRESISTIBLE PAJ – Ran 5th to OSCAR VAN HALBEEK (2) here before winning a 3000m OSCAR VAN HALBEEK (2) Class F earlier this month, but is being aimed too high this time
  13. OSCAR VAN HALBEEK – Imposed at Reims before confirming in a Class D over course and distance a month back. Is clearly at the top of his game and will be expected to bring the fight to ISTORIC MAUZUN (4)
  14. CARL HALBAK – Has taken superbly to French conditions, latterly making short work of a 2100m Class E here on 25 April. Takes on a better bunch this time but still looks a serious proposition
  15. ISTORIC MAUZUN – Won twice here before completing the hat-trick in a 2200m Class E at Salon-de-Provence in late-March. Comes here fresh and with JMB in the bike again, will have every chance of securing the 4-timer
  16. ISSIA DE CHARLY – Smartly won a 2725m Graignes Class E late last month but still has a lot to find
  17. IDEM DU PONT – Has turned a corner recently, winning at Cherbourg before running 3rd of 14 in a 2750m Class F at La Capelle on 4 April. Has never excelled over 2700m here but in current condition is difficult to ignore. First 5
  18. HAS DE CAMBES – 7th of 14 to ISSIA DE CHARLY (5) when preparing for this in a 2725m Graignes Class E late last month. Races barefoot this time and will have his supporters
  19. IMAGE D’ATALANTE – 5th of 11 in a 2850m Vincennes Class D a week ago despite enduring a host of woes. That said, she still faces a stiff test
  20. ILIO MANNETOT – Sanctioned in 3 of last 4, latterly when full of running in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class F on 3 April. Has never delivered under these conditions though and is unlikely to start now
  21. HORS SAISON – Decent mare but has yet to get into her stride this term, most recently 9th of 14 to ISSIA DE CHARLY (5) in a 2725m Graignes Class E late last month. Eric Raffin in the bike this time though and should not be overlooked
  22. IRIS FARCEUSE – Has been pleasing this term, latterly 4th of 14, a place behind IDEM DU PONT (6), in a 2750m Class F at La Capelle on 4 April. Enjoys an excellent entry and Adrien Lamy will be eager to take advantage of the day’s conditions
    Summary: ISTORIC MAUZUN (4) has been simply excellent this year with 3 straight victories and, barefoot this time, is eminently capable of maintaining his unbeaten Vincennes record. Jean-Michel Bazire will nevertheless be keeping a close eye on the wonderfully dependable OSCAR VAN HALBEEK (2) who himself vies for the hat-trick, and quality Swedish raider CARL HALBAK (3) who romped over 1200m here 3 weeks ago. Barefoot for the first time in almost 2 years, IRIS FARCEUSE (11) is not to be underestimated.

  23. KAZAN DE VANDEL – Reverts to a previous formula after running 3rd of 10 in a 2575m Saint-Brieuc Class E a fortnight back. Has done nothing but improve lately and with Benjamin Rochard in the bike will not be far off the mark
  24. ERES DORIAL MAIL – 2nd of 10 finishers, at 51/1, in a 2700m Class D here last week. Paul Ploquin in the bike again and must be taken more seriously this time
  25. EGUADOR – Not the most dependable but excellent in 2 of last 3, latterly 2nd of 11 finishers in a 2550m Reims Class E on 9 April. Handed a fine draw and Gabi Gelormini will be eager to make hay
  26. NECTAR OCCAGNES – Last but one, on French debut, behind ERES DORIAL MAIL (2) in a 2700m Class D here last week. Goes barefoot with Mathieu Mottier reining and should not be overlooked
  27. TROGIR – Surprisingly sanctioned when preparing for this over 2000m in Gelsenkirchen a fortnight ago. Went close on lone Vincennes run and with application can have his way
  28. EMIRO CLEMAR – Disappointing over recent months, latterly sanctioned in a 2550m Reims Class E on 9 April, and can be ruled out
  29. KNOW EVER – Winner of last 2, latterly a 2725m Graignes Class E on 13 April. Unbeaten with Eric Raffin reining and is sufficiently well-positioned to win this
  30. ETRANGER JOYEUSE – Makes first appearance since being sanctioned in a 2150m Class D across town in early-March. Is barefoot for re-entry and will be justifiably well-supported
  31. ELON MAIL – Returns to racing with front pads after running 6th of 10 finishers behind ERES DORIAL MAIL (2) in a 2700m Class D here last week. Handed a tough draw and will struggle to make his mark
  32. EBRIUS (ITY) – Sanctioned early in a 2700m Class D here last week. JMB maintains faith though and despite a 2nd row draw will be no pushover if he gets him off on the right foot
  33. EASY COMPANY – Back in Paris after winning over 2300m in Mons 2.5 weeks ago. Has previously been successful here but others still preferred
  34. ELTON BI – Drops back down the category-ladder after finishing 8th in 9 May race of reference. Forced to break on 2nd line and others easier to recommend
  35. RED D’OVER – Lacklustre last of 11 in a 2550m Reims Class E on 9 April and even though reconfigured for the occasion has no realistic chance
  36. EXPLORER MUNDI – Returns to Paris after completing the hat-trick at home in Italy, most recently winning over a mile at San Siro 2 weeks ago. Steps up in category though and the draw will do him no favours
    Summary: An exceptional campaigner with an enviable win-rate, TROGIR (5) set his personal best time here last season and, shod for the occasion, can win this from the 5-spot. That said, KNOW EVER (7) makes his Vincennes debut on a hat-trick and, already a winner for Eric Raffin, can pull it off. Victorious on his only main-track start, ETRANGER JOYEUSE (8) returns to the venue with a good hand to play, even though breaking wide. ERES DORIAL MAIL (2) sprang quite the surprise here a week ago and in similar shape can repeat.

  37. LYRA POTERIE – Sanctioned on re-entry in 29 April race of reference. Back to racing with pads but is still not a concern
  38. LEEDS – Good 3rd of 8 finishers to LA MITIDJA (11) in a Class D under these conditions on 29 April. Alexandsre Abrivard reining this time and although not a priority is still worth monitoring
  39. LIBERTY JOSSELYN – 6th of 9 finishers in a 2100m Class D here a week ago. Will have come on for the run, sports modified shoeing, and with Eric Raffin in the bike must be considered a player
  40. LOTTA LOVE – Useful sort making first start since running 6th of 8 in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class A last November. Has no love for Vincennes though and can be ruled out
  41. LALUNA DES FORGES – Stayed on well to win a 3000m Marseille-Borely Class D a month ago. Is barefoot again and with application can double up
  42. LESTANCIA BELLA – As consistent as they come, most recently headed by LA MITIDJA (11) in a Class D over course and distance late last month. Should have her measure this time and can challenge for the win
  43. LADY QUEEN – Back to racing barefoot after finishing last of 7 in a Class B over course and distance a fortnight ago and is not about to shake things up
  44. LORELEI DE REUX – Returned to winning ways when successful in a Class D under these conditions 3.5 weeks ago. Takes on a better lot this time but can still play a small role
  45. LARA DE CHENU – Back under conditions she appreciates after running 2nd of 15 in a 2150m Enghien Class D a month back. Goes barefoot for the first time and should not be underestimated
  46. LUMINEUSE DE BRION – Good class of filly that lost her action when heavily-backed in a 2850m Feurs Class C on 7 April. Comes here fresh and with application can wrap this up
  47. LA MITIDJA – Surprising winner of a Class D over track and trip on 29 April. Gave an excellent account that day and must be taken more seriously. Chance
  48. LUNGA DES BROUSSES – Makes first appearance since running 8th of 13 in a Class A over course and distance last November. Takes a notable dip in category and, racing first time barefoot, must be respected
  49. LA SPEZIA DE LOU – Failed to confirm Enghien success when 9th of 12 in a Class C over track and trip on 8 April and, even though barefoot for first time, is unlikely to cause an upset
    Summary: 4 times a winner from 7 starts at 3, LUMINEUSE DE BRION (10) has 2 races under her belt since the long layoff and, already successful under these conditions, looks good enough to repeat. Beaten by LA MITIDJA (11) under these conditions recently, LESTANCIA BELLA (6) should logically turn the tables. Unbeaten in 2 barefoot starts, LALUNA DES FORGES (5) looks a serious proposition with Paul Ploquin back in the bike. Plainly in top form, and fond of 2700m here, LARA DE CHENU (9) is unlikely to disappoint.

  52. KROME – Reunited with Eric Raffin after finishing 8th of 12 in 15 April race of reference and others easier to back
  53. KOQUIN DU PERCHE – Fine servant that returned to victorious ways when comfortably winning a Class D over course and distance 3.5 weeks ago. Takes on better this time but can still figure prominently
  54. KINGDOM KAT – Has not been seen out since coming 6th of 7 finishers in a 2850m Class B here last November and is not about to spring any surprises
  55. KRIS MARTIN – 3rd of 13 in a harness Class C over course and distance 3 weeks ago. Has evident monte potential and will not be far from the action if he stays in stride
  56. KADO SHINING – Got back in the game mid-April when 3rd of 12 to KRACK CLEA (8) in a Class C over course and distance. Still, however, has a lot more to find
  57. KRACK CLEA – Unbeaten in all 3 monte starts this year. Keeps on progressing, thrives in the day’s configuration, and can make it 4 on the trot
  58. KENTUCKY IDEAL – Ran KRACK CLEA (8) close to finish 2nd of 12 in a Class C over course and distance mid-April. Goes well for Adrien Lamy and will be expected to contest the finish once again
  59. LUCAS – Last of 11 on re-entry in a harness Gr.3 over course and distance a fortnight back. Enjoys a good entry and, barefoot this time, is not to be ruled out
    Summary: Winner of his last 3 starts under the saddle, KRACK CLEA (8) held off the improving KENTUCKY IDEAL (9) here a month ago and, shod to preference, can do so once again. Consistently in the thick of things when focused, LUIGI D’ISIGNY (1) is clearly on an upward trajectory and will be no easy touch if Mathieu Mottier keeps him trotting. Sanctioned on his lone appearance in the code, despite having passed the post in front, KRIS MARTIN (6) returns to the discipline in excellent form. Paul Ploquin will be in the irons this time and will have a good hand to play if his charge stays focused.

  62. L’AMI DANOVER – Failed to confirm Cherbourg victory when sanctioned in a 2625m Class E at La Rochelle 2 weeks ago. Is in form though and should not be ignored
  63. LE TOUQUET – Outclassed the opposition in a 2800m Chartres Class E early last week. Always a case of all-or-nothing and goes well for his trainer. Claim
  64. LEADER DE HOUELLE – Won at Maure-de-Bretagne late-March before running 2nd of 10 to a good horse in a 2850m Laval Class E 3 weeks ago, and looks main threat to LE TOUQUET (4)
  65. LITTERAIRE – Imposed at Mauquenchy before running 3rd of 14, a place behind LUCIANO VREDEBEST (8), in a 2450m Caen Class E 12 days ago. Eric Raffin in the wagon this time and must be considered dangerous
  66. LASCAR PILE – Sanctioned, on first start since the spell, in a 2800m Bernay Class E on 1 May and is unlikely to trouble the judge
  67. LUCIANO VREDEBEST – Excellent in 4 of 5 this year, most recently 2nd of 14 in a 2450m Caen Class E on 4 May, and will be expected to play a leading role
  68. LUCKY DE CALVI – Encouraging 3rd of 6 finishers in a 2625m Class E at La Rochelle 2 weeks ago. Is proven under these conditions but others still preferred
  69. LARABELLO DE LOU – Complicated sort that showed his form after being sanctioned in a 2750m Class D at La Capelle last week. Sports a fresh configuration and with application can finish in the mix
  70. LATINOS DU NOYER – 5th of 6, at 65/1, finishers in a 2750m La Capelle Class D last week, and is not about to spring any surprises
    Summary: A tricky but immensely capable trotter, LE TOUQUET (4) has won 3 of his last 4 starts and, barefoot for his Vincennes bow, looks the pick of the field. Thierry Duvaldestin will unsurprisingly be wary of LEADER DE HOUELLE (5) who has been progressing nicely this year, and LUCIANO VREDEBEST (8) who is patently close to his race. A place behind him at Caen earlier this month, LITTERAIRE (6) is back on track and is thoroughly capable of challenging for a place on the podium.

  72. GUEPARD GRIFF – Imposed at Châtillon before finishing last of 10 in a 2800m Rambouillet Class F late-March, and is unlikely to make much of an impact
  73. HADDOCK DU CLOS – Returns to the discipline after having come 7th of 10, a place behind INDICE DU CAIEU (4), in a 2700m harness Class D here a fortnight back. As good in one code as the other and can get straight back down to business
  74. INDICE DU CAIEU – Ran 4th at Cherbourg before coming 6th of 10 in a 2700m harness Class D here a fortnight ago, and has a decent chance of finishing in the money
  75. HANA D’OCCAGNES – Won a harness claimer here mid-April before being sanctioned in a 2725m Graignes Class E, also under harness, a fortnight later. Seldom disappoints in this branch of the business and is confirmed over 2175m. Place chance
  76. HEADLINE FAC – Already twice a winner this year, latterly comfortably securing a 2850m Class D at Maure-de-Bretagne on 23 April, and must be considered a leading contender
  77. HILTON MAZA – Last of 6 in a 2700m Class D here 10 days ago and appears to have no possible chance
  78. ILLUSIVE GLORY – Oddly below-par 6th of 9 in a 2875m Enghien Class D on 11 March. Has been afforded time to recalibrate and Eric Raffin will be keen to put things right
    Summary: Unseen under the saddle since January 2023, and off the track for all of 2024, the reconfigured HADDOCK DU CLOS (3) returns to the discipline at the peak of fitness, is confirmed under these conditions, and looks good enough to bring home the bacon. Mathieu Mottier will nonetheless be mindful of the terrifically engaged ILLUSIVE GLORY (8) who is shod as she was when imposing here in February, and the in-form HEADLINE FAC (6) who won her only start over 2175m here. HANA D’OCCAGNES (5) looks best of the rest.

  80. HORACIO DU MONT – 10th of 14 in a 2825m Villedieu-les-Poëles amateurs Class H earlier in the month and can expect to have few if any friends
  81. HAUGAIN – Won a 2650m amateurs Class D at La Rochelle on 1 May. Ran 4th under these conditions last month and will have his chances
  82. HECTOR DE CORDAY – Disqualified in a 2400m Amiens amateurs Class G a fortnight ago. Is no slouch when focused but may just be taking on too much
  83. JAZZ MELODY – Has taken superbly to the amateur category, latterly winning a 2850m Class G over the main track on 6 May, and the double is well within her capacity
  84. ICLO – Facile winner of a 2475m Royan amateurs Class G on 4 May. Never far from faulting but consistently gives his best and with application will not be far off the mark
  85. GASBY DU MESNIL – Disappointing so far this year, most recently last of 9 in a 2750m Elbeuf amateurs Class H late last month, and can be confidently passed over
  86. HORACE DU VIVIER – Not the luckiest when 3rd of 12 to JAZZ MELODY (5) in a 2850m Class G over the main track on 6 May. Won over course and distance last month and is not to be underestimated
  87. HIVAROSA DU BOCAGE – Ran 3rd at Orleans before being pipped in a 2100m amateurs Class F here 2.5 weeks ago and will not be available at 35/1 this time around
  88. JAVA DE CASTELLE – Takes a dip in category after running 4th of 12 in a 2750m Class E at La Capelle earlier in the month. Receives a Benjamin Marie drive and has a realistic chance of making her amateur debut a winning one
  89. INDY DE MAI – 7th of 12 in a 2450m Castillones Class F in late-April. Should be fully fit by now and, if applied, can get a look-in
  90. HYGNUS PRIOR – Sanctioned on re-entry in a 2650m Alencon amateurs Class G on 27 April and, even racing barefoot, is not about to cause an upset
  91. EMIR SPEEDHYCAT – 10th of 11 in a 2800m Pontchateau amateurs Class F a fortnight ago. Barefoot this time but incurs the penalty and has no possible chance
  92. GOHAKI – 3rd of 12 in a 2875m Enghien amateurs Class F late last month. Not once out of the frame at this level when barefoot and returns to the inner track with a good hand to play
  93. HONNEUR DU CEBE – Drops down the category-ladder after running 3rd of 14 in a 2750m Elbeuf class E last week but sports front pads and the extra 25m will do him no favours here
    Summary: Clearly back in shape following her spell, JAVA DE CASTELLE (10) takes to the amateur division for the first time and from the front line looks good enough to impose. She will still come under pressure from the reinvigorated JAZZ MELODY (5) who won here 10 days ago, and the faithful GOHAKI (14) who, even though 25m worse off, still looks a player. Winner earlier in the month in the provinces, HAUGAIN (3) returns to racing barefoot and will be expected to play an active role.

  1. MOOREA BOND – Showed some improvement when runner-up in Class E over this track and trip on 30 April. Has a place chance
  2. MAITRE D’HOULBEC – Has disqualification issues and faulted last time out at Cagnes-sur-Mer on 26 February. Returns from a break but could earn some money
  3. MAMBA DES DURIEZ – Yet to win a race and was 6th in Class D at Hyeres over 2650m on 1 May. Needs to find a few lengths to win
  4. MANOLITA – Has improved of late and was third last time out in Class E at this track over 2400m on 25 April. Can make the frame
  5. MISTRAL LOMIG – Did not show his best when tenth in Class C at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 2925m on 26 February. Could need this run returning from a break
  6. MICHIGAN HAWK – Has major disqualification issues but was victorious last time out in Class E over this course and distance on 30 April. Can follow up
  7. MALIDA – Did not show her best when 6th in Class C at Vincennes over 2700m on 6 May. Capable of better this course and distance and is not out of it
  8. MEMPHIS ELLIS – Has disqualification issues but was fourth in Class C at Vincennes over 2700m on 6 May. Should fight out the finish
  9. MYGIRL DES FORGES – Has improved of late and was victorious for the second time in her last three starts, the latest being in Class D over this track and trip on 18 April. Can win again
    Summary: MYGIRL DES FORGES (9) has shown marked improvement recently and was a good winner over this course and distance last time out. She can land this opening event. MEMPHIS ELLIS (8) has some disqualification issues but has been performing well at Vincennes and should be in the mix again. MALIDA (7) has a solid record over this track and trip and is clearly not without a chance. MANOLITA (4) is still a maiden but is capable of making the frame.

AD DEBEL (1) will wear cheekpieces for the first time and could pose a late threat. MISTER SIC TOP (4) showed promise on his first run and is entitled to improve, so cannot be ruled out. Well-related AASHOOR (9) makes his debut and warrants respect.

  81. CHIVATOR – Fifth in a Conditions race at Nantes over 3100m on 9 April. Made a return on the flat after a two-year absence. Will be fitter and can be competitive
  82. HENRI QUATRE – Fourth in a Condition Hurdle at Strasbourg over 3600m on 19 April. Posted a good return after a long absence. Should be involved in the finish again
  83. JAVANAISE – Unplaced in a Condition Steeple-Chase at Compiegne over 3900m on 22 April. A winner of a Grade 3 at 3 years old and can bounce back
    Summary: DIODAM (3) continues to improve. He ran a good third at this track last month, and that effort suggested a winning turn may be near. HENRI QUATRE (6) returned from a break with a decent performance and should improve further this time. CHIVATOR (5) was not disgraced on his return from a very long layoff. He has shown ability over hurdles and would not be a surprise winner. JAVANAISE (7) is fit and clearly capable of winning a race of this nature.
