He should improve from that run and is preferred over the inexperienced LADY WILHELMINA (4), who looks good on paper and could be the main danger. She will be well-tuned by her trainer. 1. MIDNIGHT DREAM – Sanctioned on debut in a 2750m Ecommoy Class F 2.5 weeks ago and is unlikely to shake things up
  2. MY LOVE D’AR – Unraced since faulting in a 2175m Vincennes harness Class D late-November. Has evident potential and will be no soft touch if Damien Bonne keeps him trotting
  3. MIDNIGHT DANCER – Switches code after finishing last but one in a 2400m Amiens harness Class F late last month and is unlikely to oblige
  4. MALIBU – Makes first appearance for new trainer not having raced since being sanctioned in a 2925m Cagnes harness Class F 3 months ago. Is new to the discipline but will have his chances if applied. Place chance
  5. MILORD DAIRPET – Ran 3rd to MISTER DU BAS BOSQ (10) on debut but sanctioned 2.5 weeks ago in a 2250m Maure-de-Bretagne Class E. Is plainly in good shape and on better behaviour can play an active role
  6. MONARK DE BELLOUET – Unraced since coming 3rd of 11 in a Class F over course and distance on 20 March. Has freshness on his side and will justifiably garner support
  7. MISTRAL DU PORET – Ran 5th of 11 finishers on re-entry in a 2975m Jallais harness Class G on 3 May and in this category will have little to contribute
  8. MONSTER SPEED – 2nd of 9, on debut, in a 2950m Le Mans Class E on 8 May. Unlikely to lose his maiden tag but can nevertheless finish in the mix
  9. MARVEL MESLOIS – Disappointing on re-entry here before being sanctioned in a 2700m Vire harness Class E 9 days ago, and others easier to back
  10. MISTER DU BAS BOSQ – Well-related sort that won a Class F over course and distance in style late last month and connections will be expecting a repeat performance
Summary: Terrific winner over course and distance at the first time of asking, MISTER DU BAS BOSQ (10) has had over a month to get back in shape and is in with a realistic shout of staying undefeated. Under the saddle for the first time, and fresh following a break, MY LOVE D’AR (2) is expected to show a different side, as is MALIBU (4) provided he takes to racing clockwise in a different code. MONARK DE BELLOUET (6) may not have been seen out since running 3rd on debut here but will have benefitted from the spell and must be afforded respect.

    C2 – PRIX DE JORT – 2200m (a1m1/2) – Class E Amateur Riders Race – Harness – EUR € 21,000
  11. KARAMEL TENDRE – Sanctioned in 3 straight after winning over 2450m here, latterly a 2800m Bernay Class E on 1 May, but can get a look-in if his driver keeps him focused
  12. KARABOUDJAN – Useful sort that won his only start at the venue but will need to show marked improvement on his comeback last of 10 in a 2150m Argentan Class E on 12 May
  13. KOZMIC BLUES – Unseen since being sanctioned in a 2150m Enghien Class E late-March. Shoes on for re-entry and others preferred
  14. KING OF DAY – Last but one behind KEMER SI (7) when preparing for this in a 3200m Fougeres Class F on 8 May. Barefoot as he was when 2nd here in March and is in with a realistic chance of bringing home the bacon
  15. KILLER D’ENFER – Solid as a rock lately, most recently 2nd of 15 in a Class F over track and trip 11 days ago. Is plainly close to his race but looks more a place chance this time around
  16. KING BLACK DANOVER – Last of 13, on comeback, behind KORRIGAN SIBEY (13) in a 2600m Meslay Class E mid-month. Is confirmed here but would be preferred with shoes off
  17. KEMER SI – 7th of 10 finishers in a 2800m Tours Class F 10 days ago. Enjoys an excellent entry though and can finish thereabouts
  18. KEKOA – 7th of 9 in a 2575m Saint-Brieuc Class E on 2 May. Enjoys a good entry though and with Theo Raffin in the bike can return to winning ways
  19. KARNO D’ARBAZ – Returns to his category after finishing 11th of 14 in a 2700m Class F at Le Croise-Laroche on 12 May. Barefoot this time and looks a decent first-5 prospect
  20. KOVE DU CHENE – Lost his action in a 3150m Abbeville Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Shoes back on though and best to keep one’s powder dry
  21. KORSIKO – Imposed at Graignes before coming 4th of 15 behind KILLER D’ENFER (5) in a Class F over track and trip 11 days ago and, with application, can pick up another cheque
  22. KENTUCKY SCARLET – 3rd at Enghien before finishing last of 9 in a 2650m Alencon Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Ran 2nd last time here and in the day’s configuration will be no easy touch
  23. KORRIGAN SIBEY – 4th of 13 in a 2600m Meslay Class E mid-month. Is plainly in shape but with shoes back on is unlikely to spring any surprises
  24. KING DE FOUQUE – Unexceptional type that was disqualified in a 3175m Saint-Omer Class F on 1 May and can be confidently written off
Summary: Seldom out of the picture here, KEKOA (8) drops marginally in category, can boast 1’12″9 under these conditions, and can win this. That said, KEKOA (8) is always game, goes barefoot following his Fougeres prep, and looks a leading rival. Not once has KILLER D’ENFER (5) let the side down at Caen and even with shoes on will not be far from the action. KENTUCKY SCARLET (12) has form here, races shod to preference, and looks competitively well-in.

  27. KALYSSE ORLOVE – Sanctioned in 4 of last 5, most recently a 3200m Landivisiau Class F 3 weeks ago, and can be ruled out
  28. KILLER JAYF – Debuts in the discipline not having raced since winning a 2875m Meslay-du-Maine harness Class F last October. Sports front pads for the occasion and others easier to back
  29. KALINE JULMA – Starts for first time since being sanctioned in a 3250m Saumur harness Class F last October. Reverts to a previous formula but still not a concern
  30. KENTUCKY DANICA – Lost his maiden tag in a 2875m Argentan Class E on 12 May. Is behind in earnings and confirmed with Mathieu Mottier in the irons. Place chance
  31. LITYGE DE CYM – 8th of 11 when preparing for this in a harness Class E over track and trip on 4 May. Boasts decent monte references and on good behaviour will not be going home empty-handed

  33. KIRA DE CHARENCEY – Ran 2nd over course and distance on monte debut before winning a 2550m Reims Class F 11 days ago. Victor Saussaye aboard this time and is unlikely to let the side down
  34. LOU DES COUPERIES – Opened her monte account 3.5 weeks ago in a Class E over course and distance and a similar effort would see her double up
  35. KARLA D’AVENIR – Sanctioned in last 2, latterly a 2150m Vichy harness claimer last week. Has previously placed here but cannot be considered a priority
  36. LAPONIE D’EMMA – Makes monte bow after being sanctioned in a 2700m Vincennes harness Class D on 22 April. Has won twice racing clockwise and with application will be dangerous. Chance
  37. KEILA TREMBLADAISE – Quality element making first appearance since running 4th of 13 in a 2700m Vincennes Class E 5 months ago. Is shod to preference and will be worth retaining
  38. LIO DE PIENCOURT – Switches codes for first time after running 6th of 8 in a 2175m Vincennes harness Class D 3 weeks ago. Won her only start at the venue and must be taken seriously
  39. LOU D’ECROVILLE – Has not raced since being sanctioned in a 2200m Vincennes Class D in early-April. Is clearly capable but too frequently sanctioned to be considered a player
Summary: Easy winner under these conditions earlier in the month, LOU DES COUPERIES (10) will be ridden by Alexandre Abrivard this time and has every chance of pulling off the double. He will still be keeping an eye on ridden debutante LAPONIE D’EMMA (12) who is barefoot for the occasion, and KENTUCKY DANICA (6) who flew up at Argentan just over a fortnight ago. KIRA DE CHARENCEY (9) has taken well to her new vocation and looks competitive once more.

  40. MYSTIC D’AVE – Encouraging 3rd of 9 in a 2550m Reims Class E 11 days ago but has little going for him this time
  41. MAKE A WISH – Yet to get into his stride this term but is in competition mode this time and from the 2-spot can get straight down to business
  42. MICA DE FARCHAT – Looked decidedly ordinary when 9th of 12 in a 2725m Lisieux Class F 10 days ago and can be confidently passed over
  43. MYTHIQUE RENKA – Failed to confirm Lisieux success when sanctioned in a 2150m Argentan Class D on 12 May. Is well-engaged though and will not be far off the mark at the business end of the race
  44. MAXIMILIANO DE LOU – 3rd on re-entry before being sanctioned in a 2150m Enghien Class D late last month. Goes well right-handed and must be considered a decent first-5 prospect
  45. MIKA DE LA VALLEE – Surprisingly sanctioned in a 2150m Argentan Class D on 12 May. Has otherwise been knocking at the door and with stride in check will be expected to contest the finish
  46. MAESTRO KADESH – Takes a notable step up in category after winning a 2825m Durtal Class G 10 days ago and is unlikely to cause an upset
  47. MIRADOR PLANCHETTE – Reassuring 4th of 9 finishers in a 2700m Vire Class E on 19 May. Would have preferred a better draw but the David Thomain factor cannot be ignored
  48. MORE LOVE DUCAMPUS – Made short work of a 2400m Amiens Class F late last month. Has had ample time to recover and despite the draw can still repeat
  49. MALKO MESLOIS – Well-related colt that was sanctioned on debut in a 2725m Lisieux Class F 10 days ago. Showed potential last season in qualification and could make a big impact if applied
  50. MIKI DU POMMEREUX – Made it 3 straight sanctions after faulting early in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class E last January. Has not raced since and poses no danger
Summary: A progressive colt, MORE LOVE DUCAMPUS (9) got off the mark in fine fashion late last month and even though handed a tough draw, nevertheless looks good enough to repeat. MALKO MESLOIS (10) is not ideally-drawn either but is clearly a serious sort in the making and on good behaviour can lose his maiden tag. The better-placed MAKE A WISH (2) has been entrusted to Alexandre Abrivard for just his 2nd start for Bastien Joseph and will be no easy touch if focused. Runner-up in 2 before faulting at Argentan, MIKA DE LA VALLEE (6) will be expected to bounce back and give this a good go.

  51. GINKGO ROCQ – 4th of 8 finishers in a 2450m Class F here on 17 May but in this company will have nothing to contribute
  52. ILIADE DE L’ITON – In cracking form since the winter spell, most recently dominating a 2800m Cholet Class F on 13 May, and has every chance of confirming
  53. HAZOE DES GLENAN – Well-beaten 2nd to ILIADE DE L’ITON (2) in a 2800m Cholet Class F a fortnight ago and in current form will be expected to finish in the mix
  54. HYPERION DU BOCAGE – 7th of 11, on first start since the spell, in a 2825m Class F at Le Croise-Laroche on 12 May and will have too much to find
  55. IN LOVE REGLISSE – Pulled off the hat-trick when winning a 3200m Fougeres Class F on 1 May. Steps up in category but still looks good enough to pick up some prizemoney
  56. INDIGO BEACH – Sanctioned in a 2875m Argentan Class E on 12 May. Has otherwise been hard to fault and with application will be no pushover
  57. HELL GIRL CHATHO – Reverts to the monte code after finishing 6th of 9 in a 2400m Amiens harness Class E on 17 May, and has no possible chance
  58. IMAIL DE CARSI – Sanctioned in 4 of last 5, latterly a 2200m Vichy Class E last week, but has evident talent and with application can pick up a cheque
  59. HOSANNA DE CHENU – Back under the saddle after finishing last of 11 in a 2575m Saint-Brieuc Class E on 2 May and even with Paul Ploquin aboard will have few friends
  60. IBILI D’OCCAGNES – 10th of 13 finishers behind HOMMAGE LUDOIS (16) in a 2875m Argentan Class E, when preparing for this, 12 days ago. Is proven here, has shoes off for the occasion but still no more than a minor place chance
  61. ITALIA SOLO – Unraced since being sanctioned when making her comeback in a 2800m Rambouillet Class F 2 months ago. Has never failed to deliver here but in this company will struggle to make her mark
  62. GUERRIER LUDOIS – Returns to the ridden code after having finished last of 14 in a 2750m Ecommoy harness Class F 2.5 weeks ago. 4 pads fitted this time and not a priority
  63. HOLD THE LINE – 6th of 16 in a 2975m Jallais harness Class F on 4 May. Has decent monte references, reverts to a previous formula, and with Mathieu Mottier in the saddle must not be underestimated
  64. HAND DES ELIES – Made no impression before being sanctioned in 12 May race of reference and can be disregarded
  65. IDOLA PHEDO – 12th of 13 finishers behind HOMMAGE LUDOIS (16) in a 2875m Argentan Class E on comeback 12 days ago. In competition mode this time though and looks a serious proposition
  66. HOMMAGE LUDOIS – Finished nicely to come 3rd of 15 in a 2200m Vichy Class E on 20 May. Has nothing to prove in this category and will be expected to contest the finish
Summary: Performant in her current configuration, ILIADE DE L’ITON (2) has solid Caen references and looks the one to beat. She will still come under pressure from the likes of the hardy IDOLA PHEDO (15) who is barefoot with Alexandre Abrivard in the irons, and HOMMAGE LUDOIS (16) who encouraged at Vichy last week. Runner-up to Henri Levesque’s horse in both Cholet and Caen, HAZOE DES GLENAN (3) is unlikely to be far off the mark.

  67. LADY KEPLER – Sanctioned in a 2875m Argentan Class E last Sunday. Has demonstrated little aptitude for the game and can be ignored
  68. LOUMIA CASTELETS – Takes a giant leap in category after running 4th of 7 in a 2750m Elbeuf Class H 10 days ago and has no realistic chance
  69. LARIA DU BELLAY – 7th of 11 finishers in a 2800m Cholet Class F on 13 May. Has placed just once in 10 starts and is not about to shake things up
  70. LIZZY VENESI – Got off the mark at Royan prior to running 3rd of 11 finishers, a place behind LYNDA CASTEL (7), in a 2750m Ecommoy Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Sports front pads this time and must not be overlooked
  71. LOTTA SUEDOISE – 6th of 12 behind LIBERTINE D’ERABLE (12) in a 2700m Graignes Class E a month back and will need to show marked improvement
  72. LILY BAM – 3rd of 8 finishers in a 2800m Chartres Class F on 13 April. Comes here fresh but others still preferred
  73. LYNDA CASTEL – Mixes the good with the less good but ran 2nd of 11 finishers in a 2750m Ecommoy Class F 2.5 weeks ago and with her mind on the game can get in on the action
  74. LADY’S SECRET – 3rd of 14, a place behind LITTLE DU RIB (10), in a Class E over track and trip on 17 May and going barefoot this time could well prove even more competitive
  75. LYPSIE THONIC – 5th of 13, at 117/1, in a 2700m Vire Class E on 19 May but a repeat seems most improbable
  76. LITTLE DU RIB – Left a good impression when 2nd only to a very good horse in a Class E over course and distance on 17 May and has every chance of opening her account this time
  77. L’ETINCELLE – 9th of 13 behind LYPSIE THONIC (9) in a 2700m Vire Class E on 19 May and has nothing to offer
  78. LIBERTINE D’ERABLE – Sanctioned after having finished 4th in a 2600m Meslay-du-Maine Class E a fortnight ago. Is plainly in form though and with application can finish close
  79. LA BELLE JAMINI – Honourable 5th of 11 behind LITTLE DU RIB (10) in a Class E over course and distance on 17 May. Unlikely to spring a surprise but has the wherewithal to pick up a cheque
  80. LOUISIANE PARIS – Sprang something of a surprise when successful in a 2800m Langon Class F on 1 May. Unlikely to repeat but can still hold her own
  81. LAURA SISSI – Unseen since winning a 2400m Amiens Class E on 9 December. Is temperamental but has bags of ability and on good behaviour can have her day in the sun
  82. LOVELY TO SEE YOU – Steps up in category after winning a 2825m Durtal Class F 10 days ago and considering the entry must be retained
Summary: An improving filly that has come close more than once, LITTLE DU RIB (10) took her game to another level here recently and, competitively-shod for the first time, looks the pick of the field. As difficult as they get, the well-engaged LAURA SISSI (15) won her last 2 clockwise starts and even though unraced since December still looks a player. LADY’S SECRET (8) has been knocking at the door, is first-time barefoot, and her latest Caen run augurs well for her prospects. LIBERTINE D’ERABLE (12) ran a good race at Meslay mid-month only to be sanctioned but sports modified shoeing and must be taken seriously.

  83. LE BEAU CIEL – Pleased in April comeback before faulting in a 2800m Bernay Class E on 1 May. Takes on a better lot this time and is unlikely to spice things up
  84. LAGON D’ORIENT – Below-par so far this year, most recently 11th of 15 in 26 April race of reference, and can be ruled out
  85. LEGOLAS – Ran 4th over 2200m here before being sanctioned early in a 2100m Lisieux Class E 2 months back, but can play a prominent role if his driver ensures his initial strides
  86. LUCKY ROSE – Got off the mark at Amiens prior to running 6th of 15 in a 2200m Class E here late last month. Continues to race unshod but cannot be considered a contender
  87. L’ARGENTIER – 3rd of 14 in a Class E over course and distance on 17 May. Is first-time barefoot and looks a major player
  88. LASCAR D’ENFER – Sanctioned in both this term, most recently a 2600m Meslay Class E mid-month. Is no slouch on a good day though and the new configuration may just be key to his redemption
  89. LUCKY BELLAY – Won 2 of last 3, latterly a 2700m Class F at La Capelle with ease on 4 May. Has yet to disappoint when barefoot and is not about to start now. Claim
  90. LUPIN DU RIB – Blows hot and cold but reassured when 5th of 14 behind L’ARGENTIER (5) in a Class E over course and distance on 17 May. Nicely-related and has the wherewithal to finish in the mix
  91. LEADER DU MOUCHEL – Surprising 6th of 14, on re-entry, behind L’ARGENTIER (5) in a Class E over course and distance on 17 May. Will have progressed for the run and, sporting a new configuration, must not be overlooked
  92. LOUP D’ARDENNES – Took win-rate to 50 percent when securing a 2400m Amiens Class F 11 days ago. Likes to lead from the front and will be no pushover if he gets off on the right foot
  93. LARGO D’ENFER – Gave a good account on comeback 3 weeks ago, running 2nd of 16 in a 3100m Nort-sur-Erdre Class F. Steps back up in category with David Thomain reining but others still preferred
  94. LABORANTIN – Trounced in both starts this year, latterly last of 10 in a 2700m Vire Class E on 19 May. Races first-time barefoot but still not easy to recommend
  95. LOOK AT ME D’AIRZA – 8th of 15 behind LUCKY ROSE (4) in a 2200m Class E here a month ago. Barefoot for first time but still not a priority
  96. LOWE DU BOUILLON – Failed to confirm Fougeres effort when sanctioned in a 2700m Vire Class E on 19 May and will have few friends in the markets
Summary: LUCKY BELLAY (7) has simply thrived since coming to France and even though changing direction for the first time will still take all the beating. L’ARGENTIER (5), however, left quite the impression here recently and, barefoot for the occasion, must be taken more seriously this time. LOUP D’ARDENNES (10) took little time returning to victorious ways and, already a winner here, will justifiably garner support. LEGOLAS (3) has been afforded time to recalibrate after faulting in Lisieux and Franck Nivard will be keen to put things right.

  98. JUANA DE SEY – Returned to the winners’ circle after securing a 2850m Maure Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Is new to Caen but in current form is easy to like for the double
  99. JOYAU BLUE – Returns to the provinces after finishing last but one in a 2700m Vincennes Class D a month ago. Has been entrusted to Mathieu Mottier, has been handed a good draw, and looks competitive for a spot on the podium
  100. JET DES MALBERAUX – 7th of 14 in a 2950m Le Mans Class D last week. Not the most dependable but has won 2 of last 5 and will be barefoot with Matthieu Abrivard in the bike. First 5
  101. JAZZY FLIGNY – Finished well to come 3rd of 15 in a 2800m Vichy Class F on 12 May. Is plainly on the way up and sufficiently well-positioned to finish in the mix
  102. INDULGENTE – Disappointing on the whole for some time, latterly sanctioned in a 2650m Alencon Class E a month back, and despite the draw still seems to have too much to do
  103. JIDEO STREET – Close 2nd of 10 in a 2450m Class D here earlier in the month. Thrives at Caen and from the front-line can give this a good go
  104. IN LOVE DE CHARDET – Has not been seen out since running 3rd of 14 in a 2650m Saint-Galmier Class E 4 months ago. Unlikely to disgrace himself but would be preferred unshod
  105. IROCKO STRYCK – Off the boil since returning to competition last December when 9th of 18 in a 2725m Lisieux Class E, and can be confidently passed over
  106. JAVA FAST – Won in very good order here before faulting, when on course for 4th place, in a 2700m Vincennes Class D on 2 May. Barefoot this time and can impose if she stays in stride
  107. JERZINO VICI – Last but one when preparing for this in a 2800m amateurs Class H at Villedieu-les-Poëles on Sunday. Has form here, is barefoot for the occasion, and must not be overlooked
  108. JURILOVCA – Quality element that finished 11th of 14 in a 2575m Saint-Brieuc Class F on 2 May, but would be preferred barefoot
  109. JOYEUX DE BOLERO – Unremarkable type that came 7th of 9 in a 2600m Plestin-Les Grèves Class D 10 days ago. Barefoot this time but still not a concern
  110. IO DOMENICO – 5th of 13 in a 2750m Toulouse Class F on 16 May. Shod this time though and others preferred
  111. ISKOYA – 10th of 11 in a 2150m Argentan Class F when preparing for this on 12 May. Barefoot for the occasion but has little love for Caen and others easier to back
  112. JOUR DE GLOIRE – 14th of 15 in a 2825m Chartres Class E 3 weeks ago. Has done nothing noteworthy all year and has no possible chance
  113. JET DE BUSSET – Decent sort that ran last of 9 on re-entry in a 2100m Vincennes amateurs Class G a fortnight ago. Is still in conditioning mode though and best to wait
  114. JO DIBAH – Sanctioned in last 2, most recently a 2825m Sable-sur-Sarthe Class E last Sunday, and can be ruled out
Summary: Comfortable winner here prior to faulting in Paris, JAVA FAST (10) races barefoot for the first time in Caen and despite an unfavourable draw, can still win this. Yoann Lebourgeois will be mindful of the better-placed JUANA DE SEY (2) who returns to racing clockwise after having imposed at Maure-de-Bretagne earlier in the month, and JOYAU BLUE (3) who should not be too hastily-judged for his recent Vincennes form. JIDEO STREET (7) has never disappointed here and his early-May performance stands him in good stead.

Summary: LIGNE BLANCHE (6) has been very consistent this year and was not disgraced at Marseille-Borély earlier this month. This distance likely suits her better, and she is capable of beating these rivals. LASKO DES FORGES (11) needed his last run and will be a danger if returning to his best form. 20. KASH SNIPER – Fluffed his lines with a disqualification in his latest start at Cavaillon on 8 April. Has already won twice this year and has a winning chance
  21. KOLBE DESBOIS – Unreliable and was 12th in Class D at Toulouse over 2950m on 16 May. Was a barefoot winner at this track in his penultimate start and is unshod this time. Not out of it

KASH SNIPER (9) has disqualification issues, but he has already won a couple of times this year and is capable of winning again. KOLBE DESBOIS (10) won his penultimate start when barefoot and is unshod all four; he is capable of bouncing back from a weak last effort. KENZA KALOUMA (7) is not reliable, but can also get into the mix of things again.

  3. ALEXEI – Would be a shock if placing as two efforts thus far have been uninspiring. Hard to make a case for and can be ignored
  4. LORANDI – Lightly raced, was victorious last time over 1600m at this course and has to be considered. Each way claims
  5. GORA ERREALA – Ignore last run, placed 2nd at this course over 1600m before that and can threaten at the finish. Strong place chance

  11. PROMESSE – Placed only 7th over 2400m last time out and form before that seems not strong enough to warrant including in any bets. Not easy to fancy
  12. SALSA ROSE – Comes into the race fresh off a victory at Langon-Libourne over 1800m in a similar class race and can follow up. Good chance
Summary: GOLDEN BROWN (1) has placed eight times from eight starts and looks ready for the maiden win. He was 5th at Tarbes on the 12th of this month and is the warm first choice. PLACID’OO (2) returned to France with a 2nd place finish at Dax over 2100m last time and might be able to go one more. SALSA ROSE (12) was a winner of the last race and can follow up.
