R1 VINCENNES [L-H]
C1 – PRIX KISSA – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class C Race – Harness – EUR € 68,000
- IBIS PETTEVINIERE – 3rd of 16 to HOLD UP DREAM (4) in a 2850m Laval Class D a fortnight back. Has solid references over track and trip and is not one to be overlooked
- INSTRUCTOR – In the frame in 2 of last 3, latterly 2nd of 16 in a 2850m Laon Class E on 1 May. Is proven under these conditions and is not about to disappoint
- INDIGO PIERJI – Sports a new formula after finishing 10th of 14 in a 2850m Class D here 3 weeks ago. Is considerably better than recent numbers would suggest and must be respected
- HOLD UP DREAM – Got back in the game 2 weeks ago when successful in a 2850m Laval Class D but in this company will have little to contribute
- ICARE DE PHYT’S – 8th of 11 in a 2850m Class D here 3 weeks ago. Has done little of note this year and with hind shoes back on will have little to offer
- HOLD UP RANAIS – Capable on a good day but will need to improve on latest 6th of 11 in a 2100m Class C here 2 weeks ago
- IN LOVE DE JIEL – Surprisingly sanctioned in a 2800m Strasbourg Class D mid-month. Always gives his best though, is plainly in shape, and has a reasonable chance of making first 5
- HAUTBRION COLMI – Undeniably useful but sanctioned in last 2, latterly a 2850m Class D here 3 weeks ago, and others easier to trust
- IN RED – 12th of 14 behind INDIGO PIERJI (3) in a 2850m Class D here 3 weeks ago. Won last 4 when sporting the day’s formula and again looks a serious proposition
- HISA DU MARGAS – Out of the picture in last 2, most recently 8th of 11 in a 2850m Class D here 3 weeks ago, and can be ruled out
- ETHAN DRIVE – Not as sharp as he was earlier in the year, most recently sanctioned in a 2850m Class D here 3 weeks ago, and can be passed over
- INDY DARK – Imposed at Laval before coming close 3rd of 10 in a Class C over course and distance earlier in the month and in similar form can wrap this up
- FINGER DES BORDES – Sprang something of a surprise when 6th of 13 in a Class C under these conditions a week ago and a repeat seems most improbable
- FEU DE REVOLTE – Has turned a corner since returning to racing barefoot, aged 10. Surprise 2nd of 12 in a 2850m Class D here late-April and will have his supporters
- HOOPER DES CHASSES – Takes on a good bunch after running 3rd of 10 over 2000m in Gelsenkirchen on 1 May. Has failed to deliver in last 6 starts here though and even with Mathieu Mottier reining, others still easier to back
- IACYNTHE DIDJEAP – Serious element that seldom lets the side down. Steps up in category but enjoys an entry made-in-heaven and Eric Raffin will be keen to oblige
Summary: Particularly performant when racing barefoot under these conditions, INDY DARK (12) is plainly at the top of his game and can win this if he replicates his latest performance. Reunited with Eric Raffin who won with him in January, the ideally-engaged IACYNTHE DIDJEAP (16) is barefoot following his mid-month conditioner and is not incapable of getting straight down to business. Never disappointing in the day’s configuration, IN RED (9) will be fully fit by now. INDIGO PIERJI (3) has yet to deliver for Matthieu Abrivard but racing with front shoes off could well make all the difference.

C2 – PRIX KLOTHO – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class C Race – Harness – EUR € 53,000 - KISS ME AGAIN – Determined winner of a 2200m Caen Class C 3 weeks ago. Has won 2 of 4 over track and trip and must be taken seriously
- KEVISAN – Useful sort making first appearance since running 6th of 14 in a Class B under these conditions 3 months ago and is going to need the race
- DIABEL – Sanctioned early when preparing for this in a 2875m Enghien Class D on 17 April. Has yet to disappoint when barefoot at Vincennes and, winner last time under these conditions, will not be far off the mark
- VALLATONIAN – 2nd of 13 in a Class D over course and distance on 18 April. Comes here fresh and looks set to continue his competitive ways
- KISS ME HONEY – 4th of 10 on comeback in a 3000m Marseille-Borély Class C 2 weeks ago. Takes on a better lot here though and not an obvious choice
- HASHTAG SIMONI – Raced better in a 2100m Class C here mid-month than his 5th of 16 would suggest. Eric Raffin maintains faith and will be expected to make the frame this time
- KARBONE CASH – Has not been seen out since running 6th of 14 in a 2875m Argentan Class A last November and has nothing to offer
- KORONA DELADOU – Pleased in last 2, latterly 2nd of 13 in a 2850m Maure-de-Bretagne Class C on 23 April, but represents no more than a minor place prospect
- KALINE DE VIVOIN – Finished last of 5 in a 2850m monte Gr.2 here on 25 April and will have other priorities
- KAISER – Made up for a brace of sanctions when 2nd of 13 to KALINE DU LOCHEUR (11) in a Class C over course and distance on 25 April. Is never far from breaking stride but on good behaviour can finish in the mix
- KALINE DU LOCHEUR – Easy winner of a Class C over course and distance on 25 April and will again take all the beating
- EVERY TIME WINNER – Ran 2nd in Turin before finishing 10th of 15 in a 2850m Vincennes Class B on 11 April. Drops in category but still not a player
- JOPLIN DES CROUAS – Twice in the frame before faulting in a Class D over course and distance a week ago and can be passed over
- KISS ME DE NAVARY – Reliably performant mare that won over 2300m at Mons on return earlier in the month. Enjoys an excellent entry and, entrusted to Alexandre Abrivard for the first time, will be no pushover
- KANDIE D’ORCO – Solid in 3 of 4 this year but will need to show marked improvement on her 4th of 12, a place behind KONDOR (16), in a 2150m Vichy Class B 2.5 weeks ago
- KONDOR – Ran 5th at Maure before coming 3rd of 12 in a 2150m Vichy Class B 2.5 weeks ago. Has monte form under these conditions but still not a priority
Summary: Firing on all cylinders over recent months, KALINE DU LOCHEUR (11) pulled off her career-best victory last month and looks thoroughly capable of repeating. She will still be up against the dependable and freshly-reconfigured KISS ME DE NAVARY (14) who won at Mons on her first start since December, and HASHTAG SIMONI (6) who has not finished out of the first 5 all year. Enjoying something of a renaissance, VALLATONIAN (4) will be competitive for a place on the podium.

C3 – PRIX BILLETS DISCOUNT (PRIX ABUNDANTIA) – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class B Race – Harness – EUR € 52,000 - LOUSTIC DE SALOMAX – Put in a good effort to run 2nd of 7 to LOUIS VITTON MIJO (7) in a Class D under these conditions early last month. Cones here fresh and barefoot and will be no easy touch
- LAST QUEEN – Tricky filly that ran 9th of 10 finishers behind LUTIN JABA (10) when being conditioned in a Class B over course and distance on 14 May. Shod to preference and must be afforded respect
- LOBBING DE BLARY – Fast-finishing 5th of 14 in a Class B over course and distance 3.5 weeks ago, despite enduring a tough trip, and has the wherewithal to challenge for a place in the frame this time
- LOTUS GRIFF – Out of the picture in last 3, latterly sanctioned in 14 May race of reference, and others easier to back
- LAMONT DU DOUET – Sanctioned after having been denied a run in a Class B under these conditions on 14 May. Showed his form that day and in similar shape could pleasantly surprise
- LEONARDO VICI – Classy type that demolished a 2475m Royan Class C on 4 May but would be preferred competitively shod
- LOUIS VITTON MIJO – Made it 2 on the trot last Sunday when dominating a Class C under these conditions. Is a veritable steamroller when barefoot and will not be easy to oppose
- L’AMIRAL GAGNANT – Won 2 in a row before finishing 12th of 14 in a Class B over track and trip on 6 May and even racing barefoot will struggle to make his presence felt
- LITTLE WINGS – Disappointing since the break, most recently 8th of 10 finishers behind LUTIN JABA (10) in a Class B over course and distance on 14 May and must get her house in order
- LUTIN JABA – 5th of 13 despite faulting early in a Class B over course and distance on 14 May but can more than make amends if Nicolas Bazire assures his initial strides
Summary: Undefeated in 2 starts over course and distance, the talented LOUIS VITTON MIJO (7) plainly has a lot more to give and is in with a realistic chance of pulling off the hat-trick. Runner-up to him in early-April, LOUSTIC DE SALOMAX (1) runs barefoot this time and should again figure prominently, but may first have to see off the well-engaged LUTIN JABA (10) who is better than his recent result would suggest. LOBBING DE BLARY (3) put in a fine finish here earlier in the month and looks set for a competitive run.

C4 – PRIX PYTHIA – 2850m (a2m) – Class B Race – Harness – EUR € 75,000 - JINGLE DU PONT – Sanctioned in a 2450m Caen Class C 3 weeks ago. Not as sharp as he was last season but is barefoot for the occasion and is certainly worth monitoring
- INDIGO DE FONTAINE – Serious trotter that has struggled somewhat of late, latterly last of 10 behind HERO SIBEY (10) in a Class A under these conditions on 14 May. Pads fitted this time and best to keep one’s powder dry
- JAKARTAS DES PRES – Pleasant 5th of 9 finishers in a 2625m Class B at La Rochelle on 11 May but a repeat seems most improbable
- JAZZ IN MONTREUX – Returns to the harness code after easily winning a 2450m Caen monte Class B 3 weeks ago but is unlikely to be as performant
- IZNOGOUD AM – Starts for first time since finishing 9th of 11 in a 2100m Class A here in early-February. Has proven form in superior company and with application can open his French account
- HELIOT DE CAHOT – Last but one behind JAKARTAS DES PRES (3) in a 2625m Class B at La Rochelle on 11 May. Has so far failed to replicate last season’s form and can be ruled out
- HERADAMES – Reassuring 3rd of 15 to JAZZ IN MONTREUX (4) in a 2450m Caen monte Class B 3 weeks ago. Appreciates these conditions and will be expected to play an active role
- SELF EXPLOSIVE – Has merit but sanctioned early in a Class A over course and distance on 14 May and needs to get his house in order
- GABRIELLA DUEM – 2nd of 15 to JAZZ IN MONTREUX (4) in a 2450m Caen monte Class B 3 weeks ago. Seems at home in her new yard and is eminently capable of getting her nose in front
- HERO SIBEY – Made up for Maure sanction when 4th of 11 in a Class A under these conditions on 14 May. Has been spirited of late but does not lack the wherewithal to impose
- HAVE SEVEN – Unseen since running 5th of 15 in a 2925m Cagnes Class B in early-March. Shoes on and no threat
- UNICO BROLINE – Quality nordic import making first start for new yard. Finished last of 12 behind IBISCUS MAN (13) in a 2100m Class B here early this month but must be taken more seriously this time
- IBISCUS MAN – Fine servant that ran 2nd of 12 in a 2100m Class B here on 3 May. Has solid references in the day’s configuration and must be considered a priority
- FELIX DU BOURG – Encouraged at Cagnes in March before running 9th of 11 in a 2525m Cavaillon Class B early last month. Comes here fresh but is unlikely to influence the result
Summary: A quality element that raced in superior company here over the winter, IZNOGOUD AM (5) drops down the category-ladder for his return to competition and must be considered a leading concern. Mathieu Mottier will still be keeping a watchful eye on HERO SIBEY (10) who has nothing to prove in this class, and the reconfigured IBISCUS MAN (13) who is plainly close to his race. GABRIELLA DUEM (9) returns to racing left-handed after 2 solid efforts in the provinces and is easy to like for a place on the podium.

C5 – PRIX LAVATER – ETRIER 4 ANS Q3 – 2700m (a1m1/2) – – Mounted – EUR € 120,000 - LARA DE CHENU – Debuts in the discipline after having run 9th of 11 in a harness Class C over course and distance 2 weeks ago and has no realistic chance
- LASKA DU LEVANT – Useful filly that faulted in a Class C over track and trip 10 days ago and in this company will have her work cut out
- LAKANA DE FELLIERE – Good, consistent filly that came 4th of 10 finishers in a Class C over course and distance 10 days ago but faces a very stiff test this time
- LEONARDO DE LOU – Made it 2 in a row when winning a 2175m Class D here on 6 May but the step up in category looks a step too far
- L’ECRIN D’OR – Won over course and distance first time under the saddle before losing his action in Gr.2 Prix René Palyart. Shoes back on though and Alexandre Abrivard will be keen to put things right
- LAMBADA DU GOUTIER – Sanctioned in all 4 this year, most recently 2450m Gr.2 Prix Henri Ballière at Caen 3 weeks ago. Sports 4 pads this time but others still easier to trust
- LOCHAN – Pleasantly surprising 3rd of 14 to LITTLE ORELIE (16) in 2450m Gr.2 Prix Henri Ballière at Caen 3 weeks ago, but confirmation seems unlikely
- LE VOYOU D’ALMO – 5th of 7 finishers to LOOPING DAY (12) in 2175m Gr.2 Prix René Palyart here on 25 April and is unlikely to trouble the judge
- LISBONNE DRY – In the frame in 4 straight before faulting in the race of reference. Showed her form that day though and, barefoot for the occasion, should not disappoint
- LARA DU LERRE – Has gone from strength to strength this term, latterly 2nd of 14 to LITTLE ORELIE (16) in 2450m Gr.2 Prix Henri Ballière at Caen 3 weeks ago. Has never disappointed when barefoot and although not a priority, must be retained
- LIONHEART – Surprisingly sanctioned in 2175m Gr.2 Prix René Palyart here on 25 April. Excels over 2700m here and will take some beating
- LOOPING DAY – Sprang a 17/1 surprise when securing the 2175m Gr.2 Prix René Palyart on 25 April. Unlikely to repeat but should nevertheless hold his own
- LOVISSIME – Has not been seen out since running 3rd of 10 in a 2850m Gr.2 here in early-February. Makes just 2nd start for new trainer but would be preferred barefoot
- LUCKY JACKSON – Ran 3rd in Prix René Palyart before finishing 5th of 14 to LITTLE ORELIE (16) in 2450m Gr.2 Prix Henri Ballière at Caen 3 weeks ago, and will need to raise his game
- LEXIE DE BANVILLE – Dual Gr.1-winning filly that finished 6th of 7 finishers in 25 April race of reference, after having faulted early. Re-shod for the occasion and will be expected to contest the finish
- LITTLE ORELIE – Returns to Vincennes, and goes barefoot, after securing the 2450m Gr.2 Prix Henri Ballière at Caen 3 weeks ago. Has yet to impose over 2700m but is still unlikely to be far off the mark
Summary: A serious colt in both disciplines, LIONHEART (11) was unlucky to lose his action in the Gr.2 Prix René Palyart and Eric Raffin will be eager to set the record straight ahead of next month’s Prix du Président de la République. Last but one that day, LEXIE DE BANVILLE (15) reverts to racing with hind shoes on and should more than make amends, as should a shod L’ECRIN D’OR (5) who was going well before being sanctioned. For good reason, LITTLE ORELIE (16) is the richest horse here and, arguably better over shorter, is barefoot and still a major player.

C6 – PRIX TROPIQUES FM (PX DE CLAIREFONTAINE) – 2850m (a2m) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 59,000 - GO CHICAGO – 10th of 12 finishers in a 2700m Class F at Le Croise-Laroche on 14 April and races here on a prayer
- GOLOSSO DE BRY – Handy trotter but has not been seen out since running 9th of 12 in a 2200m Salon Class E last November, and will need the race
- FUNNY HORSE – Dependably performant type that ran 4th of 15 in a Class D over course and distance on 3 May. Takes on a marginally better lot this time but still looks competitive for a first-5 cheque
- GREAT ROCK – 5th of 18 when preparing for this in a 2800m Vire Class F 11 days ago. Has otherwise been in flying form, appreciates the main track, and must be considered a contender
- HUGO DU BOURG – Steps back up in category after running 6th of 11 in a 2700m claimer here a month ago and will have few friends
- FERVENTE – 15th of 18 behind HIP HOP DE MADKER (12) in a 2950m Le Mans Class E on 8 May, on first start since October. Barefoot this time and although not a priority should not be entirely overlooked
- GIPSY BOND – Last but one behind GREAT ROCK (4) in a 2800m Vire Class F 11 days ago and even though reconfigured will struggle to make his mark
- GUESS FOUTEAU – 4th of 11 in a Class D over course and distance 3 weeks ago. Is as honest as they come and will be expected to finish in the mix once more
- HIATUS – Last of 7 when being conditioned in a 2825m Class E at Le Croise-Laroche 2.5 weeks ago. Has never delivered under these conditions but the engagement of Matthieu Abrivard will help his cause
- FUN LOVER – 10th of 18 behind HIP HOP DE MADKER (12) when preparing for this in a 2950m Le Mans Class E on 8 May. Barefoot this time and can make this his own
- FLAMENCO – Flopped at Landivisiau before being sanctioned in a 2825m Class E at Le Croise-Laroche last week and even though reconfigured still looks to be out of his depth
- HIP HOP DE MADKER – 8th of 18 when being conditioned in a 2950m Le Mans Class E on 8 May. Front pads fitted and can challenge for the win
- HEXCELLENTE – Has not raced since finishing 11th of 16 in a 2100m Class E here 2 months ago. Not the most reliable but will be dangerous if she replicates her late-February performance
- GAMINE DE RIBEAU – 8th of 16 in a 2100m Class D here on 14 May and can be confidently disregarded
- GOLD PEJI – 9th of 16, a place behind GAMINE DE RIBEAU (14), in a 2100m Class D here on 14 May and is not about to upend the formbook
- GEDEON DAIRPET – Returns to Vincennes after being sanctioned in a 2725m Lisieux Class E on 18 May. Enjoys an excellent entry though and Anthony Barrier will be determined to take advantage
Summary: A faithful servant that has clearly been prepared for this, FUN LOVER (10) races barefoot for the occasion and looks thoroughly capable of getting off the mark for 2025. Paul Ploquin will still be wary of the Eric Raffin-partnered HIP HOP DE MADKER (12) who will be shod as he was when imposing under these conditions last autumn, and the returning HEXCELLENTE (13) who struck gold here on her penultimate start. GUESS FOUTEAU (8) is difficult to knock in her current condition and will be competitive for a place on the podium.

- KASBAH PERRINE – 5th of 8 to KANO (3) in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Jean Gauvreau here 3 weeks ago but a repeat seems highly unlikely
- KANO – Held off some very good horses to win 2175m Gr.2 Prix Jean Gauvreau here 3 weeks ago. Wearing shoes this time but still displayed notable class and commands respect
- KEYNOTE – 4th of 8 to KANO (3) in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Jean Gauvreau here 3 weeks ago, on first start under the saddle, but looks out of his depth this time
- KEENGAME – Decent mare but has not been seen out since faulting in 2200m Gr.1 Prix des Centaures in early-March and is not a concern
- KATINKA AIMEF – Valiant 3rd of 5 finishers to KID BELLAY (7) in 2850m Gr.2 Prix Louis Forcinal here on 25 April, but will have ground to make up this time
- KID BELLAY – Facile winner of 2850m Gr.2 Prix Louis Forcinal here on 25 April. Has turned a corner since being associated with Eric Raffin and pulling off the double is well within his capacity
- KALIF LANDIA – 3rd of 8 to KANO (3) in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Jean Gauvreau here 3 weeks ago. Is plainly in excellent shape and can lift this if he gets off on the right foot
- KAPAULA DE L’EPINE – In the frame in last 3, latterly 3rd of 8 to KANO (3) in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Jean Gauvreau here 3 weeks ago, but has been reconfigured and may not be quite as competitive this time around
- KELLY DE BANVILLE – Ran on well to come 2nd of 8 to KANO (3) in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Jean Gauvreau here 3 weeks ago. Consistently in the thick of things when focused and is not about to disappoint
- KYT KAT – Leader of his generation but sanctioned in last 2, latterly 2175m Gr.2 Prix Jean Gauvreau here 3 weeks ago. Should however win this if Mathieu Mottier manages to keep him focused
Summary: A high-class horse with nothing to prove under these conditions, KYT KAT (11) may have failed to deliver in his last 2 but will be fully fit by now and Mathieu Mottier will be eager to set the record straight. Gr.1 Prix Jag de Bellouet winner, KALIF LANDIA (8), has crossed swords with him on numerous occasions and, following a convincing conditioner, will be shod to preference and no soft touch. KID BELLAY (7) was unassailable in the Gr.2 Prix Louis Forcinal and constitutes a serious threat, as does a shod KANO (3) who won a Gr.2 on his first start under the saddle.

- LUCIANO VREDEBEST – Ran 2nd at Caen before coming 4th of 11 in a Class D under these conditions 2 weeks ago. Races barefoot again and looks the pick of the field
- LODESTAR – Made amends for a brace of sanctions when making short work of a 2850m claimer over the inner track here on 13 May. Takes on a better lot this time but still has a lot to contribute
- LOIC D’AVEL – Steps up in category after comfortably winning a 2800m Tours Class E 12 days ago, on first start for Paul Ploquin. Is competitively-shod for first time and will generate interest
- LUCERO TEJY – Comfortable winner of a 2875m Enghien monte Class D on 17 April. Has other ambitions and can be passed over
- LUCIANO ROYAL – 8th of 14 in a Class D over course and distance on 2 May and in this company has no realistic chance
- LOIR ET CHER – Goes barefoot for just 2nd time after running 5th of 6 over 2840m in a Mons conditioner 2.5 weeks ago. Thrives with Franck Ouvrie and is in with a reasonable chance of imposing
- LAPS GEDE – Imposed at Chartres before running 3rd of 6 finishers in a 2475m Royan Class C on 4 May but will still need to find more
- L’AMIRAL STREET – In the frame in 2 of last 3, latterly 3rd of 11 in a 2550m Beaumont-de-Lomagne Class C on 20 April. Goes barefoot but would be preferred racing clockwise
- LATINO AU CROSNIER – Made short work of a 2800m Bernay Class E on 1 May, his first start for 5 months. Has previously imposed here for Robin Lamy and can do so again
- LATHOS DE VIVOIN – Makes first start since running 4th of 8 finishers in a 2100m Class D here on 7 February. Enjoys a good entry though and, reconfigured with Eric Raffin reining, must not be underestimated
- LOTUS DE BEYLEV – Won over 2200m at Caen before coming 7th of 17 in a 2875m Argentan Class E on 14 April. Goes left-handed for first time, is ideally-engaged, and looks a serious proposition
Summary: In form and by no means disgraced on his main-track debut mid-month, LUCIANO VREDEBEST (2) will be expected to continue his forward march and win this. He will still encounter resistance from the progressive LOIR ET CHER (7) who left a good impression here last month, and Vincennes debutant LOTUS DE BEYLEV (12) who imposed at Caen on his penultimate outing. LATINO AU CROSNIER (10) got straight back in the game earlier in the month, on his first start since December, and will have a legitimate claim on a place in the frame.

- JOKE DU HOUSSEL – Battling to regain best form and was disqualified at Chalons-en-Champagne on 25 May. Hard to trust and others are preferred
- JULIOSCA MANNETOT – Unreliable and was 8th in a Class F mounted race at Le Croisé-Laroche over 2825m on 21 May. Might play a minor role at very best
- JANGO DE GRAIS – Finished 12th in a Class E harness race at Reims over 2550m on 20 October. Likely to need this run returning from a break
- INFAILLIBLE – Has major disqualification issues and has 7 of them in a row, the latest being at Le Croisé-Laroche on 21 May. Probably best watched for now
- KALONEK DU MONT – On a very long losing run but is consistent and was fourth in a Class E Mounted race at Toulouse over 2325m on 9 May. Has a place chance
- KANCAENNAISE – Knocking very hard at the door, with four runner-up performances in a row, with the latest being in a Class E mounted race at Cholet over 2800m on 13 May. Can go one better
- JIZUKE JIEL – Unreliable and was 6th in a Class F harness race at Strasbourg over 2800m on 15 May. Fair form under the saddle and might play a minor role
- JUST PACHA – Showed vast improvement when runner-up in a Class E mounted race at Lisieux over 2725m on 18 May. Can make the frame
- KHARTOUM DE LA FYE – Has major disqualification issues and is coming off two of them, with the latest being at Salon-de-Provence on 22 May. Does better in mounted races and has a winning chance
- JASMINE DANCER – Disqualified in a harness race at Vincennes on 9 May in her only start of the year. Fitter this time and can score back under the saddle
Summary: JASMINE DANCER (10) does not always show her ability and she was disqualified in her only start this year. That was in a harness race, and she is better under the saddle. She gets a narrow vote to score. KHARTOUM DE LA FYE (9) has disqualification issues, but he does like this discipline and can contest the finish. KANCAENNAISE (6) clearly deserves a winning turn after four runner-up performances in a row. JUST PACHA (8) bounced back with a better run at Lisieux and is another to consider.

- LA MANDALA – Ran 15th in a Handicap over 1200m at Fontainebleau on 18 March. It was her first run back from a five-month break
- PINTA – Won a Maiden over 1400m at this course on 31 May last year. A promising filly but has not raced for a year
Summary: This race is complicated by the fact that many runners will be racing after lengthy breaks. Topping that list is CELESTIAL (2) who won both his starts in 2024 but has not raced for more than a year. He does look to be the most progressive runner and should make a winning comeback. PINTA (16) is in the same boat. This filly won a Maiden on 31 May and has not been seen since. She also looks decent and should run well. GREY MAN (9) made a solid comeback but disappointed in his second start. AGAT (3) performs best on sand but has proven fitness.

Summary: This wide-open handicap could fall the way of RED CRAZY (9), who has been in solid form on fibersand and now returns to turf with the benefit of Maxime Guyon in the saddle. ALPENGEIST (4) is another back on turf but he is also a course & distance winner and surely has a good chance. - SHAMABEND – Finished 10th in a Condition race at La Roche-Posay over 1700m on 18 May. Others make more of an appeal
- PREDETERMINED – Well beaten 9th in a Claimer at Morlaix over 1800m on 11 May. Unlikely to be involved in the finish
Summary: VEGA DREAM (9) has dropped considerably in the handicap and his last runner-up effort at Nantes suggests that he could be back soon in the winner’s enclosure. EL BNOUD (10) ran well last time but should show some progress back over a more suitable distance this Friday. LAGOA SANTA (1) is another one who is suited by the drop back in trip and must be followed closely. The same analysis applies to ANDINO (2) who did not see out the mile at Saint-Cloud last time.

Summary: Initially entered in the Poule d’Essai des Pouliches, ASHIKIDAH (4) has not performed up to expectations but she could still prove far too good for her rivals in this line-up. She is a strong fancy to score. Course & distance winner RASTRELLARE (1) will lead the opposition alongside TELCHERBOLINE (5), a consistent performer who should be fit enough to run a big race. FORT ETNA (7) was a nice winner at two and should come on a lot from a modest comeback run effort.
