R1 VINCENNES [L-H]

C1 – PRIX PERSEUS – 2850m (a2m) – Class A Race – Mounted – EUR € 90,000

  1. DARDO ZACK – Sanctioned when unsupported in a 2175m Gr.3 here 10 days ago and has no possible chance
  2. JUNE – Sanctioned in last 2, most recently a 2850m Laval Gr.3 last week. Showed her form that day, returns to her code of preference, and with application can challenge for a place in the picture
  3. ISTER MAN – Takes first steps in the discipline after running 2nd of 12 in a 2300m Marseille-Borely harness Class B on 16 May. Has a lot going for him here and may yet prove main danger to IMPALA DE VAL (9)
  4. HEDEN CRUZ – Excellent servant in this branch of the business, latterly winning a 3000m Marseille-Borély Class C late-April. Has freshness on his side and although in better company this time still looks competitively well-in
  5. JAZZ IN MONTREUX – Sanctioned when preparing for this in a harness Class B under these conditions late last month. Has won 3 of last 4 under the saddle and will be competitive for a place on the podium
  6. GOOD GIRL MARCEAUX – Flattering 4th of 5 finishers in a 2175m Gr.3 here 10 days ago and can be passed over
  7. HALFA – Ran 3rd to IMPALA DE VAL (9) in a Gr.2 before finishing last of 8 to him in a 2700m Gr.3 here 3.5 weeks ago. Should not be too hastily-judged and can make amends
  8. GOLD VOICE – Useful mare that lost her action on re-entry in a 2175m Gr.3 here 10 days ago. Is proven under these conditions but others preferred this time
  9. IMPALA DE VAL – High-class trotter that won under these conditions in April. Has nothing to prove at this level and will be expected to make it 4 on the trot
Summary: As tough as old boots and benefiting from a terrific entry at the limit of earnings, IMPALA DE VAL (9) returns on a 4-timer and is going to take all the beating. ISTER MAN (3) is new to the discipline but enjoys fine harness form and with Alexandre Abrivard in the irons is not to be underestimated. Seldom disappointing under the saddle these days, JAZZ IN MONTREUX (5) is easy to like. A Gr.2 winner last November, JUNE (2) will be no soft touch if Mathieu Mottier manages to keep her trotting.

    IMPALA DE VAL (9) – ISTER MAN (3) – JAZZ IN MONTREUX (5) – JUNE (2)
    C2 – PRIX TROPIQUES FM (PRIX LIGURIA) – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 46,000
  10. ELAND – Surprise 3rd of 10 finishers in a 2700m Class D here, on comeback, on 9 May. Starts on the rail and is unlikely to repeat
  11. KALINKA CASTELETS – Sanctioned in 3 of last 4, latterly a 2625m Villeneuve-sur-Lot Class E on 25 May, and can be passed over
  12. ETRANGER JOYEUSE – Made an excellent return to competition when comfortably winning a Class E under these conditions on 16 May. Will have come on for the run and a similar effort could bag him this race too
  13. KABIR BEDI – Failed to secure the hat-trick when 10th of 13 in a 2850m Laval Class D last week. Winner of his only start at the venue and is reunited with Jean-Michel who has won 4 times with him
  14. KACEY BELL – 3rd of 12 in a 2825m Chartres Class E on 1 June. Is plainly in shape but at this level would be preferred under the saddle
  15. ETERNITY BAR (ITY) – Quickly sanctioned in a 2700m Class D here on 9 May. Boasts an enviable strike-rate and will be expected to make amends as long as Benjamin Rochard gets her off on the right foot
  16. EMILY LP – Ran 3rd of 14 in a 2875m Enghien Class B late-April only to be disqualified. Comes here fresh and Paul Ploquin will be eager to make amends. First 5
  17. KASSIOPEE DREAM – Decent 2nd of 9 in a 2950m Vichy Class E on 11 May. Front pads fitted though this time and not a concern
  18. KONTESSA DREAM – Highly-consistent mare that dominated a 3000m Nantes Class E on 2 June. Not ideally drawn but placed on lone start under these conditions and is unlikely to disappoint
  19. NECTAR OCCAGNES – Showed improvement when 4th of 14 to ETRANGER JOYEUSE (3) in a Class E under these conditions on 16 May but can expect to find this more testing
  20. ELTON BI – Has disappointed since coming to France, most recently sanctioned in Class E under these conditions mid-May, and can be ruled out
  21. ELEONORA GRIF – Last of 10 on re-entry behind ELAND (1) in a 2700m Class D here on 9 May. Shoes off this time and considering her Swedish references must be taken seriously
  22. EHLERT PAR – Has hardly put a foot out of line all year, latterly 2nd of over 3080m in Naples. Is yet to deliver here and has pulled a tough number but is a quality trotter and must be respected
  23. EASY COMPANY – Imposed at Mons before running 3rd of 14 to ETRANGER JOYEUSE (3) in a Class E under these conditions on 16 May. Has pulled a tough number and others easier to back
  24. ELISA SM – Has acquitted herself respectably since coming to France, latterly 5th of 14 in a Class E over course and distance a month ago. Is no slouch but the draw will do her no favours
  25. EGUADOR – Ran 2nd at Reims before being sanctioned in 16 May race of reference. Handed a rough number but with Eric Raffin reining will be afforded every chance
Summary: Well-backed but quickly sanctioned here early last month, the talented Italian ETERNITY BAR (ITY) (6) will be better suited to the mobile start and with application can make this her own. Benjamin Rochard will still want to be wary of ETRANGER JOYEUSE (3) who won under these conditions just under a month ago, and 2nd-line starter ELEONORA GRIF (12) who goes barefoot following last month’s re-entry run. Ideally-positioned behind the car, KABIR BEDI (4) is significantly better than his latest run would suggest and with JMB in the bike is not to be underestimated.
    SELECTIONS
    ETERNITY BAR (ITY) (6) – ETRANGER JOYEUSE (3) – ELEONORA GRIF (12) – KABIR BEDI (4)
    C3 – PRIX BILLETS DISCOUNT (PRIX EUDORA) – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class C Race – Harness – EUR € 68,000
  26. L.A.BOKO – Close 2nd of 11 in a 2850m Class D here a week ago. Has been fitted with pads this time but still has the wherewithal to make first 5
  27. HALO AM – Won a 2450m Caen Class C on 10 May. Not once out of the first 2 in last 9 starts and although stepping marginally back up in category still looks a player
  28. INDY DARK – Won 2 of last 3, latterly a Class C under these conditions on 30 May, and has a decent chance of confirming
  29. GRAND ROI KALOUMA – Made it 2 in a row when running out a convincing winner of a Class C under these conditions 3 weeks ago and with form maintained will be difficult to oppose
  30. ENJOY THE GAME – Solid in last 3, latterly 2nd of 11 in a 2100m Class C here on 16 May. Unlikely to repeat but is not to be entirely ruled out either
  31. CHARMY CHARLY AS – Showed improvement when 5th of 11 behind ENJOY THE GAME (5) in a 2100m Class C here on 16 May but will struggle to make his mark this time
  32. INDUS VAL – Beat INDY DARK (3) here in early-May before comfortably winning a 2850m Hyeres Class A later in the month and returns to Vincennes with every chance of making the frame
  33. GARDON – Unbeaten in 2 starts this term, latterly a 2300m Marseille-Borely Class B on 16 May. Posted excellent fractions on that occasion but looks more a place chance this time around
  34. GILMOUR – Back under harness after running last but one in a 2450m Caen monte Class B on 10 May. Barefoot for the occasion but still not a concern
  35. FALCON D’ESPACE – 5th of 13 in a 2450m Caen monte Class B on 10 May. In superior company this time and chances limited
Summary: Back at his best following a tough start to the season, GRAND ROI KALOUMA (4) has won his last 2 with real authority and with application can make it 3 on the trot. Clément Duvaldestin will still be keeping a watchful eye on INDY DARK (3) who posted his best time when imposing over track and trip a fortnight ago, and INDUS VAL (7) who is quite simply a model of consistency. HALO AM (2) has picked up this term where he left off in 2024 and, reconfigured for the occasion, will be competitive at the business end of the race.
    SELECTIONS
    GRAND ROI KALOUMA (4) – INDY DARK (3) – INDUS VAL (7) – HALO AM (2)
    C4 – GRAND PRIX DU VENDREDI 13 (PRIX TOLOSA) – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 59,000
  36. INDIEN DE FONTAINE – Won 2 in a row before coming 2nd of 13 in a 2800m Pontchateau Class E last week. Starts on the rail but in current form is easy to like for a first-5 place
  37. HECTOR DE BASSIERE – Returns to racing barefoot after finishing last of 10 in a 2725m Lisieux monte amateurs Class E on 18 May and will have nothing to offer
  38. ISEULT FLOWER – 6th of 11 behind IRON D’ESPOIR (15) in a 3000m Class D at Salon-de-Provence 3 weeks ago. Enjoys a decent spot behind the car but may find the going a bit tough
  39. HOTEL MYSTIC – In the frame in 2 of last 3, latterly unlucky 2nd of 16 in a Class D over course and distance a week ago but can win this if kept out of trouble
  40. FOX TROT CERISE – Ran 4th over track and trip before finishing 9th of 11 when being conditioned in a 2800m Vichy Class D earlier this month. Enjoys a good draw, races barefoot, and should not be overlooked
  41. ILLUSIVE GLORY – Winner of a 2175m Vincennes monte Class E on 16 May. Here for a change of scenery and is unlikely to influence the outcome
  42. IBIS QUICK – Put his Laon blip behind him when 3rd of 11, a place behind IRON D’ESPOIR (15), in a 3000m Class D at Salon-de-Provence 3 weeks ago. Enjoys a better draw and should not be too far off the mark
  43. IDEAL BOY – Imposed at Vire before repeating, with ease, in a 3000m Chateaubriant Class E late last month. Breaks wide but thrives under these conditions and is in with a realistic shout of pulling off the 3-timer
  44. INDOCILE – Ran 2nd at Beaumont-de-Lomagne before winning a 2575m Agen Class D late-May. Seldom disappoints when barefoot under these conditions and, despite the draw, is unlikely to return home empty-handed
  45. ILIO MANNETOT – Oddly below-par when 7th of 13 behind INDIEN DE FONTAINE (1) in a 2800m Pontchateau Class E last week. Has decent references over the main track and must be taken seriously
  46. ILLUSION D’AMOUR – Useful mare making first appearance since running 4th of 14 in a 2850m Class D here on 22 March and is going to need the race
  47. IF I TELL YOU – 6th of 14, a place behind ISYBOY DE CINGLAIS (16), in a 2700m Class D here 3 weeks ago. Has placed just twice in 6 starts under these conditions and others preferred
  48. HELIOS DES CHAMPS – Made it 6 straight sanctions after faulting in a 2925m Cagnes Class D last January. Unraced since and will have few friends
  49. HELITE ELEVEN – 9th of 16 behind HOTEL MYSTIC (4) in a Class D over track and trip a week ago and would be preferred under the saddle
  50. IRON D’ESPOIR – Good, consistent campaigner that ran 2nd of 11 in a 3000m Class D at Salon-de-Provence 3 weeks ago. Was unlucky that day, has pulled a tough number here, but still has the wherewithal to finish close
  51. ISYBOY DE CINGLAIS – 9th of 13 behind INDIEN DE FONTAINE (1) in a 2800m Pontchateau Class E last week. Handed a tough draw but has already won 3 times with his driver and must be considered a contender
Summary: Very much at home under these conditions, and plainly close to his race, IDEAL BOY (8) has been handed the perfect draw and can finally put that 2-year winless streak behind him. He will still come under pressure from the widely-drawn IDEAL BOY (8) who returns to Vincennes on a hat-trick, and the even the less favourably-drawn ISYBOY DE CINGLAIS (16) who races first time barefoot with JMB at the helm. IRON D’ESPOIR (15) starts upsides, has been knocking at the door lately, and has been entrusted to Alexandre Abrivard for the occasion. INDIEN DE FONTAINE (1) is very hard to knock at the moment and will be expected to play an active role.
    SELECTIONS
    HOTEL MYSTIC (4) – IDEAL BOY (8) – ISYBOY DE CINGLAIS (16) – IRON D’ESPOIR (15)
    C5 – PRIX SHANDRANI BEACHCOMBER (PRIX LOMIA) – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 41,000
  52. KING OF DAY – In the frame in all 3 barefoot starts this term, most recently 3rd of 11 to KORSIKO (8) in a 2200m Caen Class E on 28 May. Enjoys decent references over these shorter trips and will be worth monitoring
  53. KISS COOL MIJACK – Oddly lacklustre 7th of 8, a place behind KANSAS BONBON (4), in a 2700m Graignes Class E 3 weeks ago. Top driver at the helm this time and the draw will only work to his advantage. Chance
  54. KANSAS DE CASTELLE – Made up for Argentan sanction when 4th of 8 in a 2500m Reims Class E on 1 June. Nicely-drawn and with application is unlikely to let the side down. Place chance
  55. KANSAS BONBON – Courageous 6th of 8 in a 2700m Graignes Class E 3 weeks ago despite faulting early. Enjoys a good draw, races barefoot for the occasion, and is thoroughly capable of securing a small slice of the pie
  56. KING TURGOT – Failed to confirm Laval performance when sanctioned in a 2750m Elbeuf Class F on 8 May. Has no love for Vincennes and will have few takers
  57. KASHMIRE TONIC – Ran 3rd at Meslay before missing out by little in a 2650m Class E at Les Sables-d’Olonne 10 days ago. Has never failed to deliver with Franck Ouvrie in the bike and has every chance of securing his 3rd success of 2025
  58. KINGSTON DU BOURG – Won on turf in April before finishing 6th of 11 in a 2825m Class F at Sablé-sur-Sarthe on 25 May. Has never disappointed in the day’s configuration but seems to be taking on too much this time
  59. KORSIKO – Has returned from year-long absence in cracking form, most recently winning a 2200m Caen Class E on 28 May. Breaks wide but will be reined by Jean-Michel Bazire and must be retained
  60. KSAR VRIE – Made up for Tours sanction when 3rd of 13 in a 2800m Rambouillet Class F late last month. Is proven under these conditions and the Raffin-factor cannot be ignored. Place chance
  61. KARMA DE MONTCIANT – Has done nothing but improve lately, latterly winning a 2675m Class F at Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne 3.5 weeks ago. Barefoot this time and with application can get a look-in
  62. KEFIR COHIAIS – Returns to racing barefoot after running 3rd of 8 in a 2500m Reims Class E on 1 June but has never shown much liking for the main track and others easier to back
  63. KAP NORMAND – Useful sort that ran 3rd of 10 in a 2800m Vichy Class E on 20 May but has little going for him here and can be passed over
  64. KEEPSAKE MOSSA – Sanctioned in last 2, most recently a 2700m Graignes Class E 3 weeks ago. Is better than recent numbers would imply and despite the poor draw still warrants respect
  65. KAIROS QUICK – Sanctioned when unsupported in a 2700m Graignes Class E last week and can be ruled out
  66. KITALIANO ALGREF – Last but one in a 2700m Class F at Le Croise-Laroche on 2 June and has no possible chance
Summary: A fine servant that has been threatening to break through lately, KASHMIRE TONIC (6) is new to Vincennes, races first-time barefoot, and can wrap this up. Placed in 2 of his last 4 starts, KISS COOL MIJACK (2) is decently-positioned behind the car and can go far with Alexandre Abrivard reining. Shod as he was when placing under these conditions earlier in the year, KSAR VRIE (9) gets an Eric Raffin drive this time and will be dangerous if he successfully navigates the draw. Barefoot for his Vincennes bow, KANSAS DE CASTELLE (3) left a good impression at Reims recently and should logically play an active role.

    C6 – PRIX ROYAL PALM BEACHCOMBER LUXURY – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 40,000
  67. LUCIANO ROYAL – Disappointing in last 2, latterly sanctioned in a Class D under these conditions 2 weeks ago, and is not easy to recommend
  68. LOVER JULMA – Quickly sanctioned in a 3000m Nantes Class D earlier in the month. Is not about to get off the mark but will be fully fit by now and is not about to let the side down
  69. LATINO AU CROSNIER – Won on re-entry before coming 3rd of 8 in a Class D under these conditions late last month and although unlikely to get his nose in front, should nevertheless acquit himself honourably. First 5
  70. LUDIVER DES VAUX – Unseen since being sanctioned in a 2175m Class B here last January and is best left alone until he gets his house in order
  71. LE MAESTRO – In the frame in 2 before faulting in a 2950m Vichy Class D on 2 June. Will be more at home here and expected to put things right. Place chance
  72. LINDSTEDT – Out of the picture all season, latterly sanctioned in a 2175m Class C here 10 days ago, and is not about to create an upset
  73. LUCHADOR – Drops marginally in category after running 5th of 7 finishers in a Class C over track and trip on 20 May but still has more to find
  74. LE BOLIDE – 4th of 11 in a 2175m Class C here 10 days ago. Went close last time over 2700m here and although unlikely to lose his maiden tag, can still finish close
  75. LE TOUQUET – Won 4 of his last 5, most recently a Class D over course a distance, with authority, mid-May. Barefoot again and has every chance of pulling off the hat-trick
  76. LOVE’S SECRET – Back under harness after finishing 7th of 10 in a monte Class C over course and distance 3.5 weeks ago. Has respectable harness references but others still preferred
  77. LEXCELLENT DU METZ – Has done everything right of late, most recently 4th of 10 finishers in a 2100m Class D here a month back, and the new configuration may be key to his success
Summary: A complicated sort he may be but LE TOUQUET (9) has got himself together this year and will be a tough act to follow if he replicates his most recent performance. He will still be forced to take on the reinvigorated, and well-engaged, LEXCELLENT DU METZ (11) who sports a fresh configuration. Runner-up here before faulting at Vichy, LE MAESTRO (5) can be backed with confidence this time. LOVER JULMA (2) is behind in earnings and went close on his lone start with Matthieu Abrivard in the bike.

    C7 – PRIX TRACE TV (PRIX DIDO) – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 40,000
  78. LADIVA DE VILLABON – Sanctioned on re-entry in a 2475m Royan Class C on 4 May. Is still in conditioning mode and best to hold off
  79. LUTECE D’ELA – 5th of 12 behind LOUISIANE (11) in a Class D over course and distance 10 days ago and has little chance of improving on that
  80. LILIE D’OMAHA – Ran 2nd to LIBERTA MESLOISE (10) here last month before coming 7th of 12 behind LADY BIRD JENILAT (9) in a 3000m Nantes Class D conditioner on 2 June. Barefoot this time and will be no pushover
  81. LAROZE DU GERS – Made it 2 on the trot when easily winning a 2100m Class E here 2.5 weeks ago. Has come on nicely during her break and if applied can play a leading role
  82. LADY DU CHENE – Sanctioned on comeback in a 2100m Class D here on 9 May. Seldom lets the side down here when focused, races with pads this time, and will not be far from the action if Paul Ploquin keeps her mind on the game
  83. LIBERTY AVENUE – Makes first start since running 5th of 8 finishers, a place behind LADY BIRD JENILAT (9), in a Class D over track and trip late-April and will struggle to make her mark
  84. LEMONADE FIZZ – Failed to confirm Enghien run when last of 9 behind LETTY DE BEYLEV (8) in a 2100m Class D here early last month and can be confidently disregarded
  85. LETTY DE BEYLEV – Showed improvement when 4th of 9 finishers in a 2100m Class D here early last month. Eric Raffin in the bike this time but still no more than a minor place prospect
  86. LADY BIRD JENILAT – Capable filly that defied her odds to come 2nd of 12 in a 3000m Nantes Class D 11 days ago. Unlikely to repeat but sports modified shoeing and can still challenge for a first-5 cheque
  87. LIBERTA MESLOISE – Made it 2 in a row when victorious in a Class D under these conditions on 14 May and even though sporting modified shoeing still looks a serious proposition
  88. LOUISIANE – Close 2nd of 12 in a Class D over course and distance 10 days ago. Has turned a corner since starting to race unshod and has a realistic chance of imposing this time
Summary: Wonderfully engaged at the limit of earnings and currently firing on all cylinders, LOUISIANE (11) just missed out here recently and Mathieu Mottier will be keen to set the record straight. They will still face stiff competition from the revitalised, and reconfigured, LIBERTA MESLOISE (10) whose recent course-and-distance victory was easier than the margin would suggest. Barefoot following her Nantes conditioner, LILIE D’OMAHA (3) ran 2nd to Pierre Belloche’s filly here a month ago and must be taken at face value. LAROZE DU GERS (4) moves up a rung of the category-ladder and with Alexandre Abrivard reining is not about to disappoint.

    C8 – PRIX IPHIGENIA – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class F Amateur Drivers Race – Harness – EUR € 12,000
  89. IN RACE LORRAINE – Sanctioned in last 2, latterly a 2875m Enghien Class D 3 weeks ago. Starts on the rail but has been entrusted to Sébastien Laboutique and must be afforded significant respect
  90. GALTON SAINT BAR – Surprise 2nd over the short course here before running 7th of 16 in a 2800m Rambouillet amateurs Class G a fortnight ago. Ran 2nd to ICONE PLANCHETTE (5) at Angers and should be taken seriously
  91. JOY JENILOU – Quality individual returning to the capital after 2 tune-up runs. Has freshness on her side and from the 3-spot looks the main threat to JAVA DU CHERISAY (7)
  92. GOOD COMPUTER – Returns to the amateur category after running 8th of 13 in a 2500m Class F at Savigny-sur-Braye late-May and is unlikely to shake things up
  93. ICONE PLANCHETTE – Convincing winner of a 2100m amateurs Class F over the inner track here on 20 May. Thrives in the amateur division and will be competitive for a place on the podium
  94. GOWEN CHALEONNAIS – Off the boil for some time, most recently 9th of 15 in a 2600m Class H at Châlons-en-Champagne, and can expect to have few friends
  95. JAVA DU CHERISAY – 8th of 11 when preparing for this in a 2825m monte Class F at Le Croise-Laroche on 12 May. Excels in mobile starts and will justifiably garner the lion’s share of support
  96. HAMOUR DE SISSI – Back in the amateur division after running 7th of 11 in a 2150m Ranes monte Class H last Monday and will not be troubling the judge
  97. HEROS DHELPA – 12th of 14 finishers in a 2800m Pontchateau Class F last week. Not ideally-positioned but benefits from an excellent entry and should not be overlooked
  98. GRANDE MALICE – 12th of 14 in a 2800m Pontchateau Class F last week. Has been off the boil all year and has no realistic chance
Summary: Nicely engaged here and shod as she was when imposing under these conditions on her penultimate start, JAVA DU CHERISAY (7) has thrived here since late last season and even from the 7-spot will take some beating. Leading the resistance, the better-placed JOY JENILOU (3) goes barefoot following a brace of conditioners and must be considered a contender, as should ICONE PLANCHETTE (5) who has won 2 of her last 3. IN RACE LORRAINE (1) has been somewhat capricious lately but has ample ability, switches back to racing with pads, and makes her amateur debut with a good hand to play.

  3. CLEA CHOPE – A runner-up in a Condition race at Lyon-Parilly over 1200m on 17 May. Supplemented for the race and is not out of it
  4. OSHIA – A winner in a Condition race at this track over 1200m on 26 May. Looking to complete a hat-trick and has a big winning chance

  6. AMAZING GRACE – Fourth on debut in a Condition race at this track over 1200m on 26 May. Others are much preferred in this line-up
Summary: OSHIA (4) has improved with each start and has won her last two outings, both over this track and trip. She can complete the hat-trick. ARLONG FAL (1) won on debut at Saint-Cloud and makes the long trip to defend his unbeaten record. AGIOTA (2) also won on debut and was not disgraced at ParisLongchamp, so a win here would not be a surprise. CLEA CHOPE (3) is improving and could also get into the mix.

Summary: KANDERAS (5) produced an eye-catching last run when finishing second over the distance and a repetition of that run could see him being a bold victor. ABRASSO (1) is certainly not out of it when finishing a close second. He continues to knock on the door and it won’t be a surprise if it opens here. Supplemented L’AIR DU TEEMPS (3) deserves a mention and can pop up into the places. CHARM WRENS (8) is the livewire of the pack and can be electrifying at the finishing line if the top selectors lack concentration.
    SELECTIONS – KANDERAS (5) – ABRASSO (1) – L’AIR DU TEMPS (3) – CHARM WRENS (8)
