- FLASH DE LA NOE – Has struggled all year and finished 12th in Class D at Agen-Le Passage over 2575m on 31 May. Needs major improvement to win
- JURAE VET – Disappointing form of late and finished 7th in Class A at Vichy over 3525m on 2 June. Better this distance and is not out of it
Summary: Thriving MATEO DI QUATTRO (7) is at the top of his game after 3 consecutive victories so hard to oppose in his bid for a four-timer. Fellow last-start scorer JIM PERRINE (5), an authoritative winner at Cholet in late April, and recent Vincennes runner-up JUNKIE (9), despite her awkward starting position on the second row number, and consistent JOJOBA DE QUERAY (1) all have the means to put an end to the selection’s winning sequence. FREEDOM (6) and DRAGOWSKI (8) appeal most of the remainder.

- LITTLE QUEENIE – Disqualified last time out at this track on 9 May. Had very good form before that and could be a threat if wise this time
Summary: A prolific winner of 3 of his 4 starts, LOUXOR BOCAIN (12) is good value to complete the hat-trick, especially given the manner of his consecutive recent victories. Delicate LEEROY DU PADOUENG (8), LITTLE QUEENIE (16), in the same shoeing configuration as she was when a brilliant winner at Agen in early April, and enigmatic LEOPARD (6) seem most likely to trouble the selection. LUIGI PAN (14), associated with Alexandre Abrivard, and LIEVRE D’ALBRET (5) are competitive for the places.

- FAKIR MERITE – Has only been modest this year and finished 7th in Class A over this course and distance on 6 June. Needs to find a few lengths to win
Summary: INDY DE JYR (10) is much better than his recent results indicate but could be worth siding with here judged on his solid right-hand track references. However, he will have to thwart JANGO VICI (12), a convincing last-start winner of a Group III contest at Le Croisé-Laroche. Fellow last-start scorer HARMONISTA (15) and JEANNETTE PRIORY (3), who shouldn’t be hastily condmened for a recent disqualification in a high-class field at Vincennes, are also genuine candidates for the podium. JILORD VIVA (1) and HORATIUS D’ELA (11) complete the shortlist.

Summary: IMHOTEP BUROIS (11) beat several re-opposing rivals over track and trip earlier this month, and there’s no reason to suggest he won’t confirm his superiority. Consistent IKY JOY (12), who finished 3rd in the race won by the selection, once again leads the opposition in the company of ISSALIO (8), associated with Alexandre Abrivard. HAWAI DE KERLEAN (9), not hastily condemned for his recent disqualification, and IVOIRE D’AUTHISE (6), after a much-needed comeback outing, appeal most of the remainder.

- HOT SUMMER – Disappointin form of late and finished 9th in a Class C harness race at Hyeres over 2650m on 10 May. Needs to find a few lengths to win
Summary: Thriving JUPITER DE PLAY (13) will logically garner a lot of support after an eye-catching 2nd at Laval but JANTARA DESBOIS (3) has rediscovered a new lease of life since reverting to the mounted code and will challenge the selection for victory. HERODO BELLO (10) has won four times in his last six appearances under the saddle and should remain competitive for the leading places. DOWHATYOUDODOWELL (12) acquitted himself well at Caen in a very strong field and needs only to repeat that performance to make his presence felt.

Summary: High-flying HADES DE SUCE (9) has formed a formidable partnership with Jean-Philippe Treich and is capble of extending his winning sequence to five consecutive victories. JEANBLANC DUEM (12) made a winning introduction in this category at Cagnes and will lead the opposition along with JUNO DE BANVILLE (14), who ought to be more competitive in these calmer waters. HOBBY DE L’EVRE (6) gets on well with his partner and can get into the picture too.

Summary: JOB DES LOUANGES (15) deserves a reward for his consistency. He is ideally placed to end a long losing run. Last-start winners JORLANDO (12) and JUPPY UP (14) are also genuine candidates for success, as is in-form JAZZ PAT (11) who is also likely to fight for a spot on the podium. JET DE LA FERME (9) and JUNO ELLIS (7) complete the shortlist, and neither is incapable of mixing it with the principals.

- MAJYC FLIGHT – Very consistent of late and was runner-up in Class B at Beaumont-de-Lomagne over 2550m on 24 May. Can make the frame
Summary: MISTER DREAM TY (2) didn’t go unnoticed last time after his early disqualification so he probably needs only to avoid the same fate to fight for victory. However, MELOMANE DE LOU (8), MANHATTAN EMGE (9) and MY LOVE GIO (7) won’t make life easy for the selection and will likely challenge for race honours. MAJYC FLIGHT (10), well entered under these conditions, is also a potential winner.

C1 – PRIX YOUR NEXT CAR – 2800m (a2m) – Class F Race – Mounted – EUR € 17,500
- LAVATER GEDE – Sanctioned in last 2, latterly a 2400m Class F at Nort-sur-Erdre on 9 June, and can be confidently passed over
- LA CANDEUR – Unraced since losing her action in a 2700m Vincennes Class D last February. Has been afforded sufficient time to recalibrate and is not incapable of picking up some prizemoney
- LAZIE PONT VAUTIER – Reassuring 3rd of 5 finishers in a 2550m Reims Class E on 1 June. Takes on a better lot this time and not a priority
- LUCKY BAZOQUAIN – Failed to confirm re-entry success when 11th of 12 finishers in a 2700m Graignes Class F on 5 June. Not the most fortunate that day but has ample ability and will be dangerous if kept out of trouble
- LIBERTY D’OURVILLE – Last of 7 in a 2425m Angers Class E last week. Is patently off the boil and must get her house in order
- LIBERTA DEL PHEDO – Opened monte account at Laval before running 4th of 10 finishers over 2850m at the same venue a month ago. Is never far from faulting but in the hands of Mathieu Motttier looks the pick of the field
- LORD DU GUELIER – Starts for first time since being sanctioned in a 2850m Laval Class F late-March. Has ample ability, races first-time barefoot, and will not be far off the mark if he stays in stride
- LADY JULES – Placed twice before finishing below-par 9th of 12 finishers in a 2700m Graignes Class F on 5 June. Is clearly in fine form though and can be brought back into the fold. Place chance
- LIONELA D’ECHAL – Quality filly returning to code of preference after coming last of 8, on comeback, in a 2650m harness Class F at Les Sables-d’Olonne 2 weeks ago. Has never disappointed in the day’s configuration and must be taken seriously
- LILAS DAXEL – 2nd of 12 finishers in a 2700m Graignes Class F on 5 June. Excels with François Lagadeuc and in current shape is easy to like for a spot on the podium
- LUCKY DES SOURCES – Sanctioned in last 2, most recently a 2700m Class F at Graignes a fortnight ago. Can trot on a good day but others still easier to trust
Summary: Like a horse reborn since moving stables, LIBERTA DEL PHEDO (6) races barefoot for the first time and with application should have this in the bag. Mathieu Mottier will still be wary of the nicely-engaged LILAS DAXEL (10) who left a good impression at Graignes earlier this month, and the improving LADY JULES (8) who should not be too hastily-judged for failing to fire that day. LUCKY BAZOQUAIN (4) was also very unlucky on that occasion and Arthur Rebèche will be keen to set the record straight.

- MALAVISTA SOMOLLI – 5th of 7 finishers in a 2275m Nantes Class E on 2 June and would be preferred at a lower level
- MUSE D’EURVAD – Lost her maiden tag, at 2nd time of asking, in a 2750m Class F at La Capelle 2.5 weeks ago. Flew up that day and with form maintained will be no pushover. Chance
- MAGNIFIQUE IDEE – Got off the mark at Le Mont-Saint-Michel late last month before losing her action in a 2200m Vincennes Class D last week. Takes on another decent bunch here but not a leading contender
- MILORD DU COJEUL – Opened his account at Châlons-en-Champagne early-May before coming 2nd of 9 in a 2400m Amiens Class E a month ago. Philippe Masschaele back in the bike and should figure prominently once more
- MAGIK DE PIERRAIS – Pleasant 4th of 8 finishers in a 2200m Vincennes Class D last week. On a hard surface for just 2nd time but latest effort augurs well for his prospects
- MAESTRIA DE PADD – Runner-up in last 2, most recently a 2700m Graignes Class E on 5 June. Is plainly close to her race but against the colts looks more a first-5 prospect
- MISS IS DU CANET – 5th of 8 in a 2850m Laval Class D 2 weeks ago. Placed here the month before though and should not be overlooked
- MERMOZ – Sanctioned early in a 2875m Enghien Class D on 24 June. Has bags of potential and with stride in check can bring home the bacon
Summary: A quality element that lost his action early at Enghien last month, MERMOZ (9) has otherwise been showing his form and will be no soft touch if Mathieu Mottier gets him off on the right foot. That said, MUSE D’EURVAD (3) has shown considerable potential and should find Chartres to her liking. MAGIK DE PIERRAIS (6) returns to the provinces after giving a good account in Paris and must be afforded respect. MILORD DU COJEUL (5) has turned a corner since being associated with Philippe Masschaele and can challenge for a place in the frame.

- LOTUS JIEL – 2nd of 10 in a 2150m Mauquenchy Class E on 5 June. Has been knocking at the door and looks a serious proposition
- LUNE DU DOUET – 5th of 8 finishers, a place behind LE DUC DE SEVRES (8), in a 2300m Class E here on 1 June. Useful on a good day but would be preferred racing clockwise
- LOVING DREAM – 5th of 8 finishers, a place behind LYNX GRIFF (5), in a 2950m Class E at Le Mans on 22 May. Shoes back on and cannot be considered a concern
- LYNX GRIFF – Ran 4th at Laval before repeating in a 2950m Class E at Le Mans on 22 May. Form is not in question and racing first-time barefoot could just prove key to his success
- LUCIA DU CHATELET – Disappointing on the whole this year, latterly sanctioned in a 2725m Lisieux Class D 10 days ago, and can be passed over
- LE ROCKER DE PLAY – Unraced since finishing last of 9 in a 2700m Vincennes Class E 2 months ago. Shoes on and no threat
- LE DUC DE SEVRES – Pleasant 4th of 8 finishers in a 2300m Class E here on 1 June. Consistently gives his best and while unlikely to get his nose in front, can nonetheless pick up a first-5 cheque
- LEOPARD WIT – Won a 3200m Fougeres Class F on 1 May. Takes on a better lot this time but can still play a small role
- L’ETOILE DE ROCHE – Has not been seen out since being sanctioned in a 2700m Vincennes Class D last February. Has bags of talent though and the engagement of Mathieu Mottier speaks volumes
- LOUNA DU LOCHEUR – Good 2nd of 9 in a 2150m Mauquenchy Class E, on re-entry, a fortnight ago. Placed on sole Chartres run and with application will take some beating
- L’ALPHA DE LAUNI – 3rd of 12 in a 2150m Enghien Class E on 24 May. Shoes back on here but form is not in question and can finish in the mix
Summary: LOUNA DU LOCHEUR (11) put in a fine performance on her recent return to competition, has form here, enjoys a terrific entry, and can win this if her trainer keeps her focused. She will face resistance though from LOUNA DU LOCHEUR (11) whose fortunes have been revived lately, and a well-engaged L’ETOILE DE ROCHE (10) who sports modified shoeing. Barefoot for the first time, LYNX GRIFF (5) is not about to let the side down.

C4 – PRIX DU CAFE DE LA GARE – DREUX – 2825m (a2m) – Class F Amateur Riders Race – Harness – EUR € 18,000 - KEIGHT BLESS – Serious Swedish type making French debut after failing to fire over 3140m in Solvalla on 23 May. Should take well to Chartres conditions and with application can impose
- KENT SOYER – Lost his action in a 2800m monte Class F at Villedieu-les-Poëles on 25 May. Will be fit by now and unlikely to disappoint
- KASSIE DANOVER – Encouraging 2nd of 9 finishers in a 2600m Class F at Châlons-en-Champagne on 25 May. Is as tricky as they get but with application could pleasantly surprise
- KOCO PEEL – Faulted on re-entry in a 2775m Elbeuf Class F a month back and is going to need another outing
- KALINDA SPOKEN – Sanctioned in 4 of last 5, most recently a 2800m Rambouillet Class E on 4 May, and is not going to be troubling the judge
- KESA DES THIRONS – Makes first appearance since running 4th of 14 in a 2700m Graignes Class F last January. Trainer used a valuable priority pass to run her here and must therefore be considered a priority
- KURIELE LEBEL – Faulted in a 2725m Avranches Class F last Sunday. Pleased on lone start here but is unlikely to create an upset
- KENZO D’IQUAINE – Sanctioned in 3 of last 4, latterly a 2950m Mansle Class F last Saturday. Tends to go well for Sylveur Gougeon who will be eager to take advantage of the fine entry. First 5
- KALISKA DE FORGAN – 8th of 10 in a 2650m Alencon Class D in late-April. Reverts to racing with front pads but still not a concern
- KELISSA D’AVE – Starts for first time since coming 10th of 14 in a 2950m Cagnes Class F in late-March. Has bags of talent but stays shod and best to hold off
- KLASSIC DE SYVA – Reassuring 2nd of 16 in a 2675m Erbray Class F 11 days ago. Dependability not his strong suit but has merit and should not be ruled out
- KAPRICE D’AVRIL – 2nd at Elbeuf before winning a 2700m Thouars Class F on 29 May. Is back on a hard surface and despite the handicap looks a major player
- KOZMIC BLUES – Sanctioned, on first start since the spell, in a 2200m Caen Class E 3 weeks ago. Incurs the penalty but reverts to a successful formula and with Mathias Potier reining will be given every chance
Summary: Although out of the picture in his last 2, KEIGHT BLESS (1) is quite clearly a talented trotter and even though shod this time, he still looks the one to beat. He will still be opposed by the returning KESA DES THIRONS (6) who rarely lets the side down when applied, and KENT SOYER (2) who boasts a good record in the day’s configuration. Plainly at the top of his game, KAPRICE D’AVRIL (12) is forced to start on the back line here but will nevertheless be expected to contest the finish.

C5 – PRIX HOMMAGE A CHRISTELLE ZIMMER – 2800m (a2m) – Class F Race – Mounted – EUR € 26,000 - CLICK STARLIGHT – Useful at home in Italy but faces a stiff task on Paris debut. One and only monte start resulted in a sanction and is not about to shake things up
- GLOBAL ATTENTION – Back under the saddle after being sanctioned in a 2600m Nancy harness Class E on 30 May. Has ability but is never far from faulting and others easier to back
- BATTUTA FACE – Takes his chances in France after winning over 2140m at Farjestad on 5 May. Is in better company this time but still looks dangerous
- IL MAGNIFICO – Makes just 3rd monte appearance, most recently having run 5th of 12 in a 2725m Lisieux harness Class F 10 days ago. In superior company this time though and not a priority
- STEADY VICTORY – Debuts in the discipline after running 2nd of 8 over 2413m in Tingsryd early last month. Domestic jockey onboard for French bow and will be expected to play an active role
- HASHTAG SIMONI – Continued productive ways when 4th of 16 in a 2700m Vincennes harness Class C late last month. Debuts in the code but is clearly in form and very hard to ignore
- JOJO DE L’AUNAY – Back in code of preference after running 8th of 12 in a 2825m Sable-sur-Sarthe harness conditioner 10 days ago. Is not about to win this but has solid monte credentials and, shod competitively, should not be ruled out
- JADE DE CASTELLE – Encouraging 2nd of 10 in a 2850m Laval Class F 2 weeks ago. Has solid references in this configuration and with form maintained can challenge for the win
- JOKE DE CHENU – Failed to make it 4 on the trot when running 3rd of 10 in a 2675m Class G at Le Mont-Saint-Michel late last month. Thrives with Romain Marty in the saddle and will be expected to return to victorious ways
- JIRI PACHA – Sanctioned when preparing for this in a 2850m Laval harness Class C last week. Enjoys a fine entry, seldom disappoints, and has every chance of finishing in the mix
Summary: Well-engaged close to the limit of earnings, JOKE DE CHENU (9) has taken to her new vocation like ink to paper and will take some beating. She will still be forced to take on JADE DE CASTELLE (8) whose recent Laval performance bodes well for her chances, and the reconfigured STEADY VICTORY (5) who will be no pushover if form transitions. Compatriot BATTUTA FACE (3) has demonstrated significant ridden aptitude and steps up in category with a good hand to play.

- JAB KISS – Good 3rd of 11 in a 2550m Reims Class D on 1 June. In better company here and a repeat seems improbable
- JURASSIC MOIRE – Ran 2nd at Elbeuf before coming 4th of 9 finishers in a 2750m Class E at La Capelle early last month, and in current condition is easy to recommend for a first-5 cheque
- JERRY DE L’ERDRE – 2nd of 16 in a 2700m Thouars Class H on 9 June. Has done nothing but improve this term and, racing barefoot again, will not be far from the action
- JET SPE – Reassuring 3rd of 13 in a 2900m Arras Class G on 9 June. Reliability not his strong suit though and others preferred
- JOLDY LOVE – Has not been seen out since finishing 9th of 12 in a 2700m Vincennes Class E last December. Goes barefoot for comeback but is expected to need the race
- JULIO DU RIB – Returns to racing barefoot after running 5th of 14 in a 3150m Ranes amateurs Class H earlier in the month. Returns to a hard surface, with shoes off, and will justifiably generate significant support. Claim
- JUNKO SEPT – Last of 9, after 11 months off, in a 3150m Mamers Class F 9 days ago. Shoes on and in this company has no possible chance
- JACKPOT DE VIETTE – Sanctioned when being conditioned in a 2800m Strasbourg Class E last Sunday. Is shod once more and best to wait
- JOKO DE LOU – 11th of 13 in a 2200m Caen Class F on 26 April. Comes here fresh, seldom disappoints when applied, and deserves to be taken seriously
- JIGSAW D’AMOUR – 6th of 9 finishers in a 3000m Nantes Class F on 2 June. Entrusted to Mathieu Mottier this time and will be no pushover if he keeps him trotting
- JAYZI DU BOURG – Sanctioned in last 3, latterly a 2700m Thouars Class F on 29 May. Is not devoid of ability but is still difficult to recommend
- JAZZ JENILOU – 10th of 13, on return from a lengthy absence, in a 2875m Argentan Class D late last month. Is confirmed at a superior level, and behind in earnings, but still represents no more than a minor place chance
- JEEP DE DALINE – Last of 13 when preparing for this in a 2875m Argentan Class D late last month. Trainer could not have asked for a better entry and Francois Lagadeuc will be determined to take advantage. Place prospect
Summary: JULIO DU RIB (7) has 3 runs under his belt following a lengthy break, is hard to knock when barefoot and focused, and should be able to wrap this up. JIGSAW D’AMOUR (11) is competitively-shod for his first objective of the year and looks a marginally better bet than the barefoot and well-engaged JEEP DE DALINE (14). Given time to freshen up after flopping at Caen, JOKO DE LOU (10) is not to be underestimated.

- HIPPY DE LA COUDRE – Failed to confirm Meral victory when faulting in a 3000m Nantes Class F on 2 June. Is proven here and with application can finish in the mix
- IZIO DU POMMEREUX – Placed in an Enghien claimer before being sanctioned in a Class F over course and distance 11 days ago, and in this field, has no realistic chance
- JEU COQUIN – Last but one in a 2850m Laval Class C 2 weeks ago. Returns to racing barefoot though and will be no easy touch if he takes to the new profile
- GREAT D’ARRY – 5th of 11 finishers in a 2850m Vincennes claimer 3 weeks ago. Pitted against better this time and is unlikely to spring any surprises
- GRAND PAJELO – Lost his action when unsupported in a 2800m Pontchateau Class F on 5 June. Has been re-shod for the occasion but can still be ruled out
- JOLIE COKTAIL – Imposed at Abbeville before running 3rd of 10 in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class F a fortnight back. Has fine references in this category and can expect the lion’s share of support
- JOOST D’OLERON – 7th of 13 in a 2100m Vincennes Class C on 14 May. Is plainly better than that and is eminently capable of getting his nose in front
- FAKIR DE LA CRIERE – Out of the picture in last 2, latterly 13th of 16 behind HORACIO DE CERISY (11) in a 2800m Bernay Class F on 1 May. Never easy to gauge but the engagement of Mathieu Mottier cannot be ignored
- ILMAT DES KECHES – Has been firing on all cylinders recently, latterly 2nd of 12 in a 2625m Châtelaillon-La Rochelle Class F on 11 May. Solid in both starts here and will be excepted to bring the fight to JOLIE COKTAIL (7)
- HORACIO DE CERISY – Hard to knock at the moment, most recently 4th of 16 in a 2875m Argentan Class F on 25 May. Has won here when barefoot and is not incapable of doing so again
Summary: Not once out of the picture since returning to racing barefoot, JOLIE COKTAIL (7) is clearly back at the top of her game and makes her Chartres debut with a realistic chance of making it a winning one. Clément Duvaldestin will still be mindful of the danger posed by the nicely-entered and ultra-consistent ILMAT DES KECHES (10) who has been re-shod, and JOOST D’OLERON (8) who should not be too hastily-condemned for his latest performance. HORACIO DE CERISY (11) has never failed to fire at Chartres and must be afforded respect.

Summary: KAADI (1) boasts easily the best references of these runners and is good value to give weight and a beating to these rivals under 66,5kg. SMILE FOR ME (2) has won on her last two visits to this course so should hold her own, especially with the aid of her rider’s weight allowance. POSAFOLIE (6), CAHAGNES (5) and AMORE MIA (10) will likely fight it out for the remaining podium berth.
