  1. AZOU – 4th on his last run over 2350m at Strasbourg on May 28th in a Class 2 race. Has work ahead to beat some of his rivals
  2. BENAMIRA – Good 2nd in a Class 2 race at Angers on May 20th and 4th in a Group 3 race before that at Saint-Cloud in April. Key chance
  3. RODOYA – Won on her last run over 2400m at Compiegne on May 30th. Looks progressive and can not be discounted
  4. STUDY THE LADY – Got off the mark over 3000m at Dieppe in a maiden on May 24th. Ought to be thereabouts
  5. THROUGH THE FLAMES – Won on her last run over 2500m in a maiden race at Evreux on May 27th. Live contender
Summary: BENAMIRA (2) brings solid recent form to the table, including a runner-up finish in a Class 2 contest at Angers in late May, and she gets the nod here. THROUGH THE FLAMES (5) opened her account at the third attempt with a win at Evreux, but she’ll need to find further improvement to challenge the selection in this stronger field. RODOYA (3), a course winner last month, is another to consider and commands respect.

  10. SYDNEY SUNSET – Colt by Persian King, the dam won 3 races, including 2 Listed races. Nice profile and one to keep safe on debut
  11. SEPTIEME TERRE – Gelding by Martinborough, the dam was placed a few times. Stable runners tend to need a run or two. Watch the betting for clues
  12. KENZEL – Colt by Zelzal, the dam was placed a few times. Looks good on paper and is from a respected trainer. Can have a say on debut
Summary: KOMOREBI (3), a Godolphin-owned debutant, makes plenty of appeal on pedigree, being out of the high-class mare Lyric Of Light, a Group 2 and Group 1 winner in the UK. He is expected to be well-prepared for a winning debut. KENZEL (7), trained by a savvy operator, should also be forward enough to make a strong impact. ARTILLEUR (4) is another newcomer to note; his dam was a Listed winner, and he comes from a respected yard. SYDNEY SUNSET (5) rounds out the shortlist with a nice pedigree.

  18. BADIE – Ran well to be 4th in a Listed race at Parislongchamp on June 8th over 2000m on her last start. Can play a lead role
Summary: DANCING FLAME (5) won nicely on her second start over 1600m at this track earlier this month by 2L. She was unlucky on her debut not to win after a slow start, and looks like a useful prospect. BADIE (6) ran well to be fourth in a Listed race last time and looks like the main danger to the selection. PAIX DES DAMES (3) was not up to Listed class last time, but these calmer waters are more appealing. DUNE (1) has consistent form and heads the rest.

  34. MARTIN – 4th on his last run over 2000m at Compiegne on June 6th in a Class 3 handicap. Place contender
Summary: HATIM (14) carries a low racing weight and benefits further from his rider’s claim, giving him a distinct edge. He gets the tentative nod ahead of ROCK JOYEUX (3), who has placed in all three starts this year and appears ready to break through. PENTAOUR (4), a solid runner-up at Argentan last time out, is another with claims. ROUDOUDOU (13) warrants attention and won’t make things easy for his rivals, while top-weighted GALEGO STAR (1) remains a respected contender from the head of the handicap.

She gets the vote ahead of EKLLEEL (1), who also boasts a strong pedigree and hails from a yard capable of readying one first time out. ZERIBA (3) has an appealing profile and is one to watch closely for any positive market signals. WARAMINI (11) is another debutante worth keeping an eye on in the betting ring.

Summary: HORIZON DORE (6) has been running is some strong Group 1’s and has been far from disgraced. He drops significantly in class and should be too good for this lot. He looks a stand out on the card. DILAWAR (1) notched up another win at Listed level and appears to be the horse that could run second. BOLTHOLE (3) is 1.5kgs better off at the weights for a 1.5L beating and could close the deficit with Dilawar if not reverse the form. GAMESTARS (7) has been running well and brings useful form to the table but will need to up his game to win.

  71. LA CRACK PRECIEUSE – Moderate display in 8th over 2600m at Morlaix in a Class 4 course qualifier on the 11th of May 2025. Will struggle here
Summary: ANDOUINS (1) is holding solid form this year having already won twice and that third win for this season appears to be imminent. He will need some luck in running but should be a major threat. WAKANDA TANGO (6) has produced two cracking efforts recently and should have every chance of delivering the goods in a race of this nature. EASTERN STAR (7) continues to drop in the ratings and showed signs of life last time out which could see him earning. WUKHANN (2) was just behind the top choice last time out and should challenge.

  85. HAVIVA – Dam was unraced and this filly could just need the experience on debut. Others preferred
Summary: ROMAZIA (2) ran with plenty of promise on debut and would have learnt a lot with that experience under her belt. She can go on better in this. She appears to be the first choice for leading connections. TIYANADA (1) was just touched off on debut and is another that would have tightened up with a run under her belt. She gets the services of the apprentice again and should be in the firing line. MOONLIGHT ROSE (13) and MOODY (12) both come from yards that can ready them up on debut and are fillies worth keeping an eye on. Both could be involved first up.

C1 – PRIX LE PASSAGE D’AGEN – 2575m (a1m1/2) – Class G Amateur Drivers Race – Harness – EUR € 6,000

  1. HOLLISTER DAY – Has not been seen out since finishing last but one in a 2475m Vic-Fezensac monte Class F last September and will have nothing to offer
  2. HULK CHANTEREINE – 5th of 16 in a 2725m amateurs Class G at Grenade-sur-Garonne on 1 June. Excels over the day’s trip and is sufficiently well-placed to give this a good go
  3. IBIS D’OR – Faithful servant in both professional and amateur ranks, most recently 2nd of 8 in a 2150m Vichy amateurs Class G 10 days ago. Enjoys a fine spot behind the car and can finally be rewarded with that elusive 5th victory
  4. INDIGOTE – Sanctioned, on 2nd start back, in a 3175m Issigeac Class F on 8 June and is not about to set off any fireworks
  5. HALFAC BILOU – Last of 8 behind IBIS D’OR (3) in a 2150m Vichy amateurs Class G 10 days ago and needs to find significantly more
  6. HORIZON PELSA – Returns to racing barefoot after finishing 9th of 11 behind IDEAL DE CALVETI (7) in a 2550m amateurs Class G at Beaumont-de-Lomagne on 24 May. Enjoys a good entry and from the front row can get in on the action
  7. IDEAL DE CALVETI – Failed to confirm Beaumont performance when sanctioned in a 2725m Grenade amateurs Class G 3 weeks ago. Goes well in the day’s configuration though and with stride in check can contest the finish
  8. HOORI DU PATURAL – Returns to the amateur division after running 3rd of 14 in a 3125m Monpazier Class F on 1 June. Starts wide but has form here and looks competitively well-in
  9. ISLANDE VOLSIN – Starts for first time since finishing 9th of 10 in a 3150m Ranes claimer last July and can be confidently ruled out
  10. HONORINE NAY – 8th of 16 behind IRELAND TEAM (12) in a 2600m amateurs Class F at Villeneuve-sur-Lot on 25 May. Not ideally-drawn and in current condition is unlikely to spice things up
  11. HAVANO DU THAY – Solid in last 2 amateur events, latterly 4th of 16 in a similar race here 3 weeks ago, and in spite of a 2nd-row start can nevertheless make his presence felt
  12. IRELAND TEAM – 5th of 16 in a 2600m amateurs Class F at Villeneuve-sur-Lot on 25 May. Appreciates the venue but goes shod this time and a minor place chance at best
  13. IDYLLE DU DIGEON – 8th of 16 behind ICEMAN CASTELETS (14) in a 2700m amateurs Class H at Miramont-de-Guyenne late last month. Is confirmed when shod but makes her Agen debut with limited prospects
  14. ICEMAN CASTELETS – Unexceptional 7th of 10 in a 2950m Toulouse Class F a fortnight back and the draw just complicates matters
  15. HIDALGO PLANCHETTE – 10th of 16 behind IRELAND TEAM (12) in a 2600m amateurs Class F at Villeneuve-sur-Lot on 25 May. Handed a rough number but imposed over track and trip in March and must not be underestimated
  16. ILFORD TERRIE – Out of the picture in last 3, latterly 9th of 13 in a 2850m Rostrenen claimer 2 weeks ago, and the draw will do him no favours
Summary: Barring a blip on turf earlier this month, IBIS D’OR (3) has been in cracking form all season, appreciates these conditions and, from the 3-spot, can secure his first success for 2 years. IDEAL DE CALVETI (7) gave a fine account at Beaumont-de-Lomagne last month and will be no pushover if applied. Shod this time, HIDALGO PLANCHETTE (15) may not be the most dependable horse here but he imposed under these conditions earlier in the year and, if behaved, can defy the draw and get in on the action. HULK CHANTEREINE (2) boasts fine Agen references and from the 2-spot must be considered a player.

  18. MERRY CHRISTMAS – Debuted nicely at Toulouse before dominating a 2400m Montauban Class F on 9 June, and from the 2-spot will be no pushover
  19. MAGNUM DAIRPET – Has turned a corner since switching yards, most recently opening his account in a 2400m Montauban Class E on 29 May. Ideally-drawn and looks a serious proposition
  20. MISSION DU GILET – Disappointing since being stepped up in category, most recently 6th of 9, a place behind MELISSA JOSSELYN (5), in a 2750m Toulouse Class D on 6 June, and is not about to garner much support
  21. MELISSA JOSSELYN – Unlucky 8th of 11 in a 2525m Cavaillon Class D on Tuesday. Positioned nicely on front line and while not a priority is nonetheless worth keeping an eye on
  22. MILLENIUM BOND – Runner-up in both starts to date, most recently to MADE IN BELLAY (1) in a 2725m Grenade-sur-Garonne Class F 3 weeks ago.
  23. MANON DES SOURCES – Made up for Montauban effort when 3rd of 9 in a 2575m Valence-sur-Baïse Class E last weekend. Takes on a considerably better lot this time and is unlikely to spring any surprises
  24. MARC AURELE – Left a fine impression when winning a 2150m Vichy Class F on 2 June. Steps up in category but makes Agen debut in excellent shape and should prove the one to beat
  25. MIKADO PIEMONT – 5th of 6, on first start since debuting successfully here, in a Class D over course and distance 3 weeks ago. Will have progressed for the run and despite the draw should not be underestimated
  26. MISS YOU LORD – Sanctioned in both starts to date, latterly a 2400m Montauban Class F on 8 June, and has no realistic chance
  27. MENTEUSE PAN – Sanctioned when unsupported in a 2400m Beaumont-de-Lomagne Class E on 18 May and will have nothing to contribute
  28. MILORD MARANDAIS – Comfortable winner of a 2400m Montauban Class F on 9 June. Not ideally-placed on the back row but will have been kept on the boil and deserves to be taken seriously
  29. MILADY CASTELETS – Failed to confirm Montauban success when last of 9 behind MANON DES SOURCES (7) in a 2575m Valence-sur-Baïse Class E last weekend, and the draw will do her no favours
  30. MALAYA DE FRAMIST – Debuted victoriously on 1 June, winning a 2725m Grenade-sur-Garonne Class F. Allocated a tough number this time but should be retained all the same
Summary: Last month, MARC AURELE (8) started to make good on his promise, most recently lost his maiden tag, and even though forced to start wide on the front line, can still double his money. That being said, MADE IN BELLAY (1) imposed on his re-entry earlier in the month and looks the principal danger. MAGNUM DAIRPET (3) is beginning to come into his own and the draw will only work to his advantage. It only took 2 outings for MILORD MARANDAIS (12) to get off the mark and he can again figure prominently if Cyril Gazengel successfully navigates the start.

  31. L’INDIEN PEARL – Made amends for Vichy sanction when victorious in a 2600m Gemozac Class F 3 weeks ago. Starts on the rail and steps marginally up in category, but still represents a leading contender
  32. LABEL TURGOT – Sanctioned in a 2625m Class F at Villeneuve-sur-Lot on 28 May. Is useful on a good day though and if behaved will be competitive for a place in the money
  33. LYNX DES RACQUES – Last of 9, on return to competition, in a 2400m Amiens Class F 9 days ago. Won his only start at the venue but may just need another run
  34. LECHARM DE L’AUMOY – Useful type that lost his maiden tag in a 2375m Castelsarrasin Class F early-May. In much better company this time but from the 4-spot should not be entirely overlooked
  35. LEE ROY THE BEST – Sanctioned here 3 weeks ago before running 4th of 8 in a 2700m Class F at Miramont-de-Guyenne 12 days ago. Enjoys a good draw, is fitted with front pads this time, and must be retained
  36. LEA DANSE – Has not been seen out since coming 7th of 13 in a 2400m Beaumont Class F 2 months ago. Is competitively-shod, with a decent spot in front, and will have a claim on the silverware
  37. LA STAR DRY – Sanctioned, on first start since November, in a 2700m Miramont-de-Guyenne Class F on 9 June. Is plainly a filly of ample ability and with application can open her 2025 account
  38. LICORNE DU VAAL – Pleasantly surprising 3rd of 8 finishers in a 2625m Villeneuve-sur-Lot Class F 3.5 weeks ago. Can repeat if applied but still not a priority
  39. LEWIS ELLIS – 5th of 11 finishers in a 2625m Class E here 3 weeks ago. Will not be available at 87/1 this time but will not be as competitive either
  40. LAVIABELLA VRIE – Disappointing in all 3 starts this month, most recently sanctioned in a 2575m Valence-sur-Baïse Class E last weekend, and the draw only compounds matters
  41. LUCKY MAJYC – Lost his action in a 2575m Class E at Valence-sur-Baïse last Sunday. Has little going for him here either and can be passed over
  42. LOOK DE LA COTE – 2nd of 7 finishers in a 2950m Saint-Malo claimer on 9 June. Alexis Collette in the bike this time but nonetheless faces a much stiffer test
  43. LUCULLUS DU DOLLAR – Returns to racing barefoot after running 4th of 7 finishers behind LOOK DE LA COTE (12) in a 2950m Saint-Malo claimer on 9 June. Has pulled a tough number and will struggle to make his presence felt
  44. LUCKY D’AVAL – Last of 12 in a 3000m Marseille-Borely Class F late last month. Has been a write-off for the most part this year and can be confidently ruled out
  45. LAGUNE DE LA COTE – Disappointing in last 3, latterly 7th of 14 behind LAVIABELLA VRIE (10) in a 2700m Miramont-de-Guyenne Class F on 9 June, and can expect to have few friends
  46. LECLAT DE PERTHUIS – Won over 2625m here before losing his action in a 2400m Beaumont-de-Lomagne Class F on 21 April. Has not been blessed with the draw but on good behaviour will not be far off the mark
Summary: She may not be the most reliable horse here, and has just the one race under her belt since the break, but LA STAR DRY (7) sports a new configuration for her Agen debut and can impose. L’INDIEN PEARL (1) moves back to a hard surface after scoring on turf earlier this month and, barefoot for the occasion, could yet double up. LEA DANSE (6) is another sporting modified shoeing and the short spell will have done her good. A winner here on his penultimate start, LECLAT DE PERTHUIS (16) similarly comes here fresh, is shod as he was that day, and despite the tough draw must be respected.

  47. LA MOME – Faulted in last 2, latterly a 2150m Vichy Class C a month back. Starts on the rail, with shoes on, and can be passed over
  48. LIKELY DU PADOUENG – Runner-up in 2 before coming 5th of 9 finishers behind L’ALASKA SNOW (5) in a 2950m Toulouse Class B a fortnight ago. Enjoys a good spot behind the car and is unlikely to disappoint
  49. LANCELOT DE BEYLEV – 2nd of 12 in a 2600m monte Class F at La Roche-Posay on 1 June. Has other priorities and can be ignored
  50. LE CARAT D’AS – Last of 7 in a 2525m Cavaillon Class C on Tuesday. Handed a good draw this time, sports front pads, won his only start at the venue, but still cannot be considered a priority
  51. L’ALASKA SNOW – Made up for Vichy sanction when 3rd of 9 finishers in a 2950m Toulouse Class B a fortnight ago. Has a lot going for her here and can win this if Simon Laloum has kept her on the boil
  52. LAMIE QUICK – Failed to confirm Beaumont success when sanctioned early in a 2950m Toulouse Class B on 6 June. Is clearly in form though and has a realistic chance of setting the record straight
  53. LEXINGTON DU BOURG – Quality type making first appearance since running 2nd of 11 in a 2625m Class B here mid-February and will not be given a hard race
  54. LE TITIEN – Quality element that finished last of 10 to LAMIE QUICK (6) in a 2550m Beaumont-de-Lomagne on 24 May. Front shoes off this time and with application can finish in the mix
  55. LOULOU’S TEAM – Failed to confirm excellent Beaumont performance when 9th of 11 finishers behind LA JOIE DE VIVRE (13) in a 2625m Class E here 3 weeks ago. Has pulled a tough number and others preferred
  56. LE WINNER AS – Drops back to a more reasonable level after finishing last but one in 24 May race of reference. Showed his form at Royan though, is shod to preference, and even from the 2nd line can pick up some prizemoney
  57. LOUISDOR DECHAMBOU – Returns to racing right-handed after quickly faulting in a 2100m Vincennes Class E 11 days ago. Richard Westerink would have preferred a better draw but could get a look-in if he keeps his charge focused
  58. LUMIERE DU CHENE – Sanctioned when preparing for this in a 2625m Class E here 3 weeks ago. Is still in conditioning-mode and best to leave alone
  59. LA JOIE DE VIVRE – Good 2nd over 2625m here 3 weeks ago before being sanctioned when preparing for this in a 2950m Vichy Class D last Monday. Hind shoes off this time and can figure prominently if Vincent Cabos keeps her trotting
  60. LEWIS D’EVRON – 6th of 11 finishers behind LA JOIE DE VIVRE (13) in a 2625m Class E here 3 weeks ago. Hind shoes off, and has previously imposed over track and trip, but will struggle to leave his mark this time
  61. LUCIDE CASTELETS – Sanctioned on comeback in 24 May race of reference. Hind shoes off this time but Maxime Tijou will first have to successfully navigate the start
  62. L’AS DUEM – Opened his seasonal account in Toulouse before coming 2nd of 10 finishers to LAMIE QUICK (6) in a 2550m Beaumont-de-Lomagne on 24 May. Not ideally-drawn but still has the wherewithal to finish close
Summary: Rather surprisingly, L’ALASKA SNOW (5) put in quite the performance at Toulouse earlier this month. She enjoys a good record at Agen though and from the 5-spot may just have the edge over LAMIE QUICK (6) who was sanctioned early that day. L’AS DUEM (16) may not have pulled a good number but he ran 2nd to Lana Henry’s horse last time out and even with shoes on will be no pushover. LE TITIEN (8) is forced to start wide but he tends to go well for Cyril Gazengel and will be shod for competition.
    SELECTIONS

    C5 – PRIX DE BRAX – 2625m (a1m1/2) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 24,000
  63. KAOLIK DE GUEZ – Talented sort but out of the picture in last 7, latterly sanctioned in a 3125m Monpazier Class E 3 weeks ago, and can be confidently dismissed
  64. KOLORADO BELLO – Sanctioned on comeback in a 2800m Carhaix Class F 3.5 weeks ago. Takes on too much here and is going to need the run in any case
  65. KRYPTON D’EPONA – Runner-up in 2 before coming 5th of 16 in a 2700m Miramont-de-Guyenne Class F on 29 May, but would be preferred more competitively-shod
  66. KESSY DU PADOUENG – Lost her action in a 2400m Montauban Class F on 8 June. Has won 2 of 3 here, and is shod to preference, but is being aimed too high
  67. KING CRIMSON – Sanctioned in last 3, most recently a 2150m Vichy Class F on 26 May. Has no shortage of ability though and from the front row will be competitive, provided Louis Goetz keeps him trotting
  68. KANARY BAY – Sanctioned in 7 of last 8, latterly a 2150m Vichy Class F on 26 May. Is hard to knock when she deigns to stay in stride however, and with shoes back on will be competitive at the business end of the race
  69. KOKI DE SPERETOUT – Somewhat capricious 6th of 8 finishers in a 2150m Vichy Class F late last month, but has talent in spades and on better behaviour can trot off with the spoils
  70. KAVALE DE BOLERO – In the frame in last 2, most recently 2nd of 14 in a 2400m Chateaubriant Class F on 8 June. Takes on a better lot this time but can still pick up some prizemoney
  71. KOCAINE BOND – Twice sanctioned after winning at Bernay, latterly a 2575m Valence-sur-Baïse Class D last Sunday. Sports a new formula but others still easier to trust
  72. KALITA DU PADOUENG – Placed at Beaumont-de-Lomagne in April but unlucky 8th of 15 in a 2150m Vichy Class F on 26 May. Unlikely to create an upset but with application should nevertheless hold her own
  73. KADIZ DU VIEUXCOUR – Useful sort but sanctioned in a 2400m Montauban Class F on 9 June. Pleased on lone Agen start, and enjoys a good entry, but may be taking on too much this time
  74. KEEPING JYL – Put a brace of sanctions behind him when 3rd of 11 in a 3175m Issigeac Class E on 8 June. Has already secured a hat-trick this season and considering the excellent entry, must be retained
  75. KATHRYN DU VIVIER – Sanctioned in a 2550m Gournay-en-Bray Class F on 9 June. Seems a far cry from her 2024 form and must first re-establish her credentials
  76. KIR DE KACY – Made it 2 in a row when securing a 2400m Montauban Class F 12 days ago. Incurs the penalty but goes barefoot this time and should not disappoint. First 5
  77. KEY TO SUCCESS – Failed to confirm mid-May success when sanctioned early in a 2950m Toulouse Class E a fortnight ago. Form is not in question though and with stride in check can challenge for the win
  78. KERNO – 6th of 11 when preparing for this in a 2625m Class E at Villeneuve-sur-Lot on 25 May. Is quite clearly in good shape and even from the back line can impose
  79. KAMPALA DU DAMIER – Has not been seen out since comfortably winning a 2950m Toulouse monte Class F on 11 April. Here for reasons of conditioning and poses no danger
Summary: Pleasant in both return runs last month, and superb this year when barefoot, KERNO (16) enjoys a terrific entry here and is in with a realistic chance of making his Agen bow a winning one. He will still be forced to take on KEY TO SUCCESS (15) who routed the opposition in Toulouse mid-May. 25m better off and back at a track he appreciates, KOKI DE SPERETOUT (7) will be dangerous if focused, as should the capricious KING CRIMSON (5) who has been struggling to express his talent.

  80. JEWEL SMILE – Ran 3rd at Vichy before comfortably winning a 2475m Royan Class F a fortnight ago. Should take well to these new conditions and can again figure prominently
  81. JOSS GRAND PRE – Wonderfully consistent over recent months, latterly 3rd of 14 in a 2400m Montauban Class G on 29 May and the draw will do his prospects no disservice. First 5
  82. JOHN STEED – Back under harness after coming 4th of 10 in a 2400m Montauban monte class F on 29 May. Has been knocking at the door and from the 3-spot, with Alexis Collette reining, can impose
  83. JADE DALAMEDA – Steps back up in category and sports hind pads for the first time after running 2nd of 12 in a 2950m Mansle amateurs class H a week ago, but in this company will have too much to do
  84. JAGUAR GEMA – Ran encouraging 4th at Gournay-en-Bray but failed to repeat when sanctioned in a 2700m Thouars Class H on 9 June and others easier to trust
  85. JUNTA DES THIRONS – 5th of 11 finishers in a 2150m Toulouse Class E a fortnight ago. Starts in front, has form here, and will not be sent out at 40/1 this time
  86. JEUX D’ACTION – A complete write-off this season, latterly 10th of 11 finishers in a 2925m Bourigny claimer on 1 June, and has nothing to offer
  87. JEUNE PRODIGE – Left a fine impression when 2nd of 17 in a 2800m Langon Class F on 26 May. Has hardly put a foot out of line this term and Manuel Criado will be expecting another big performance. Claim
  88. JOURNEE A LA GRAVE – Has looked very ordinary since returning from a long absence, most recently sanctioned in a 2400m Montauban amateurs Class G 12 days ago, and has no possible chance
  89. JACODUS DU MELEUC – 10th of 13 in a 2700m Miramont-de-Guyenne amateurs Class H late last month. Has otherwise been in fine shape but at this level will struggle to make his presence felt
  90. JOLI DE CONNEE – Imposed at Moulins before finishing 12th of 14 in a 2825m Durtal Class E on 1 June. Should not be too hastily-judged though and with application can bounce back and pick up a cheque
  91. JOYEUSE SMART – 8th of 11 finishers behind JUNTA DES THIRONS (6) in a 2150m Toulouse Class E a fortnight ago. Has placed just once in 3 Agen starts but is barefoot this time and even from the back line should not be far from the action
  92. JOE LOUIS – Not as tough as his namesake but ran decent 4th of 16 in a 2950m Toulouse amateurs class F on Wednesday. Backs up however with a tougher task facing him here
  93. JAMBAVAN – Sanctioned, on 2nd start back, in a 2625m Class F at Villeneuve-sur-Lot on 25 May. Takes on a much better bunch here and chances limited
  94. JACY DE NARMONT – Sanctioned in a 2700m Class E at Miramont-de-Guyenne on 9 June. Has been handed an unenviable draw and is unlikely to create an upset
  95. JIRELLA DU LOISIR – Kicked the year off successfully but has since lost her way, most recently finishing last but one in a 2400m Montauban Class G late last month, and the draw only compounds matters
Summary: Winner here in March, the reconfigured JEUNE PRODIGE (8) has kept the productive vein of form going and even though forced to break wide on the first row, still looks the pick of the field. He will still encounter opposition from the better-placed, and barefoot, JOHN STEED (3) who has been knocking at the door all season, and JEWEL SMILE (1) who is patently back at his best. JUNTA DES THIRONS (6) held her own in Toulouse recently and seldom lets the side down at Agen.

  96. IRINUSHKA – 6th of 14 in a 2650m Hyeres Class F on 28 May. Entrusted to Alexis Collette this time and should be thereabouts at the finish
  97. ICARE DECAST – 2nd of 16 in a 2400m Montauban Class E on 8 June. Not once out of the frame when barefoot and has every chance of opening his Agen account
  98. IVANHOE PAULOIS – Won 2 before being sanctioned in 2, latterly a 2750m Class H at Le Grand Fougeray late last month. Enjoys a terrific draw though and with stride in check can challenge for the win
  99. IZAYA DE COUSSERAT – Showed marked improvement when 3rd of 14 in a 2600m Gemozac Class H on 1 June. Placed nicely on front row and in similar shape can get a look-in
  100. INES D’ATOUT – Last but one in a 2700m Thouars Class H on 9 June. Is well-placed in front here but still has nothing to contribute
  101. IMAGE DE NERET – Reassuring 3rd of 11 in a 2700m Class F at Miramont-de-Guyenne on 9 June. Has never delivered at Agen but is an honest mare and can play a role
  102. ILLICO MICHA – Unplaced in last 2, latterly 8th of 14 in a 2750m Nimes Class F on 8 June. Starts wide and even though reconfigured can still be ruled out
  103. IPSI DE BENAC – Last of 10 when preparing for this in a Class E over course and distance 3 weeks ago. Front pads on again but considering his form is not to be underestimated
  104. IMPERIAL RYLD – Quality element making first appearance since running 5th of 8 in a 2400m Montauban Class E last December and is not about to spring any surprises
  105. I LOVE GABINLEA – 6th of 15 behind ICARE DECAST (2), on just 2nd start back, in a 2050m Class F here 3 weeks ago. Is undefeated under these conditions though and must be taken seriously
  106. INCREDIBLE GO – Pleasantly surprising 4th of 16 behind ICARE DECAST (2) in a 2400m Montauban Class E on 8 June, but a repeat seems most improbable
  107. INSTINCT DU RENARD – Unexceptional sort that made it 3 straight sanctions when faulting in a 3175m Issigeac Class H a fortnight ago and will have few, if any, takers
  108. IL MIO – Unplaced in 2 since the spring break, latterly last of 10 in a 3025m Eauze Class E on 2 June, and can be passed over
  109. IRISH SONG – Should not be condemned for running 10th of 11 behind IMAGE DE NERET (6) in a 2700m Class F at Miramont-de-Guyenne on 9 June. Has nothing to prove in this category and will be dangerous if she defies the draw
  110. IDEAL DE BEZILLAT – Respectable in last 2, most recently 5th of 16 in a 2575m Valence-sur-Baïse Class E last Sunday, but the draw will do him no favours here
Summary: One of the most reliably-performant horses in the business, ICARE DECAST (2) has been going good-guns lately and is sufficiently well-positioned to impose this time. Lana Henry will still want to be wary of the spirited but talented IVANHOE PAULOIS (3) who has similarly been handed a good draw, and the less favourably-placed IRISH SONG (14) whose recent numbers belie her capacity. Unbeaten in 3 starts over 2575m here, I LOVE GABINLEA (10) is forced to break from the 2nd row, and takes on a superior lot, but must nevertheless be considered a player.

  112. HELIOS CADURCIEN – Has 3 runs under his belt following a lengthy absence, latterly last of 14 in a 2400m Montauban Class D on 9 June. Enjoys a good draw and given his barefoot Agen form, will be no easy touch
  113. GARD – Put on a good show to run 2nd of 12 in a 2900m Amiens Class E on 12 June. Is close to his best, has solid references in this category, and will be expected to play an active role
  114. GAILLARDE QUERAY – 8th of 10 in a 2550m Beaumont Class C on 24 May. Is placed well on the front row but is nevertheless out of her depth
  115. FIFTY – Unseen since being sanctioned in a 3225m Vitre Class A on 27 April. Has had no luck here over latest years and will have few friends
  116. FUNNY HORSE – Sanctioned after galloping at the start of a 2400m Chateaubriant Class D a fortnight ago. Starts in front, has excellent credentials at this level, and with application can finish in the mix
  117. HEYDAY – Serious trotter but has not been seen out since running 7th of 10 in a 2950m Toulouse Class E last March. Shoes fitted and no threat
  118. HILTON MAZA – 8th of 15 in a Class D over course and distance 3 weeks ago. In less-exalted company this time but will still have too much to do
  119. HELIOT DE GACHERE – Failed to confirm Moulins effort when sanctioned in a 3125m Monpazier Class F 3 weeks ago. Not ideally-drawn but in present shape can get in on the action
  120. EL PACO – Barring claiming success at Saint-Galmier, has been disappointing this year, most recently 13th of 15 in a 2150m Vichy claimer 10 days ago, and chances limited
  121. HOUKO SPORT – Sanctioned in last 7, latterly a 2625m Class D here 3 weeks ago, and has no possible chance
  122. HAVANA PARIS – Sanctioned in a 2575m Valence-sur-Baïse Class E last Sunday. Has been off the boil for some time and can be written off
  123. GENERAL DE CONNEE – Sprang quite the surprise when 3rd of 12, a place behind GARD (3), in a 2900m Amiens Class E 9 days ago. Did not win the draw lottery but with form maintained could still finish close
  124. GACHETTE MONTAVAL – Last of 11 when preparing for this in a 3175m Issigeac Class F on 8 June. Faces first goal for new trainer and despite the draw must be taken seriously
Summary: Enjoying something of a renaissance since moving yards, HOMMAGE DE TILLARD (1) makes his Agen debut on a hat-trick and in current condition has every chance of pulling it off. Lilian Bertin will still be keeping a watchful eye on the barefoot, and Agen-loving, HELIOS CADURCIEN (2) who faces his first objective of the season, and the well-positioned GARD (3) who does not make the long trip just to return home empty-handed. GENERAL DE CONNEE (13) finished a place behind him at Amiens and will not be available at 62/1 this time.
