C1 – PRIX DU TRASQUET – 2400m (a1m1/2) – TURF – Class 3 Divided Handicap – Flat – EUR € 27,000

  1. ZLARA – Ran an encouraging race last time when at Lyon Parilly over 2200m finishing 2nd but in a weak claiming race. Big danger to the top few
  2. AUTEUR – Comes into the race a recent winner at Parislongchamp over 2400m in a Handicap and can certainly go back-to-back. Big chance
  3. FORZA SEDACA – Recorded the 8th win last time at Lyon D’Angers over 2400m in a competitive race and has a chance of following up. Good chance
  4. BEAUTIFUL MEMORY – She finished 6th at this track on the 3rd of this month over 2400m in a competitive Handicap and can bounce right back to winning ways. First choice
  5. ATHINEOS – Ignore last run, placed a good 2nd at this course over 2500m in a Handicap before that and has fair overall form. Good each way claims
  6. MONA TREZY – Testing the patience for the next win, managed only 7th place last time and others will be way stronger. Not easy to fancy
  7. CREEKATTEMPS – Placed 5th at Lion D’Angers over 2400m last time and can get way closer now. Good chance and a must for all bets
  8. THEATRE LODGE – Needs to improve on local form and can. Placed 5th at Lyon Parilly last time and more can be expected. Include in the quartet
  9. GRAND ART – Placed 6th at Argentan over 2900m last time and will need to serve up plenty more than that to feature here. Can be overlooked
  10. HONGUEMARE – Finished 7th over 2100m on the 29th of May and will need to do more. Far prefer others and would be a shock winner
  11. HAMILTON – Was a winner on the 10th of this month at this venue over 2400m in a Handicap and should be very competitive again. Strong place chance
  12. KEEN APPROACH – Is taking time for the next win, placed 6th at the last run when racing over 2000m at Compiegne. Small, place chance
  13. PEACEFUL SEA – Will need to build on last run when 6th at this track in a weak claiming race late last month. Prefer others and can be passed by
  14. CLAIR DE LUNE – Will need to find a few lengths on last run when 6th in a weak claiming race at Pornichet. Hard to make a case for
Summary: BEAUTIFUL MEMORY (4) is never too far off the action and can serve up way more than she did last time when 6th at this course. She is the first suggestion. ATHINEOS (5) caught the eye in the penultimate start at this venue and can be forgiven for the last effort. Strong each way chance. AUTEUR (2) comes into the race fresh off a victory at Parislongchamp over 2400m. He can follow up. CREEKATTEMPS (7) is always there and thereabouts and has to be factored into the quartet.

    C2 – PRIX AMBER RAMA – 1400m (a7f) – TURF – Class 2 Race – Flat – EUR € 34,000
  15. ZELZARA – Ran a cracker last time when 2nd at Saint-Cloud over 1400m and can go very close to getting it all right. Huge each way chance
  16. POLLY SHELBY – Made a sparkling debut at Cholet on the 2nd of this month over 1350m when winning well. She could be anything and is a big chance here
  17. GREEN SPIRIT – Has a stunning pedigree, showed talent on debut when winning over 1200m at this course on the 19th of last month. The one to beat. Clear win chance
  18. ANADONIYA – Finished only 7th last time over 1350m at Lyon Parilly and others are far preferred. Can be ignored
  19. VICTORIA SECRET – Daughter of Victor Ludorum out of a mare that raced 4 times for 4 blanks. Watch the betting market for more of an idea. More than likely will need the run
  20. SAMARTINA – Daughter of Chachnak out of a Showcasing mare that might be able to make her presence felt first time at school. Watch the betting trends as race time looms
Summary: GREEN SPIRIT (3) will be ridden by Maxime Guyon. This unbeaten filly could be absolutely anything. She won over 1200m on the 19th of last month at this track and impressed. She is confidently selected to remain unbeaten after this. ZELZARA (1) is showing potential and ran a cracker last time when 2nd at this course. She is a massive danger to the first choice. POLLY SHELBY (2) is another that has an unblemished record having won at Cholet earlier this month. Serious chance. SAMARTINA (6) has a first four claim on debut. Watch the betting for more of a guide.

    C3 – PRIX EUGENE ADAM – 2000m (a1m1/4) – TURF – Gr2 Race – Flat – EUR € 130,000
  21. DARYZ – Clearly a very good horse having won three from three. Last win was at Parislongchamp over 2000m in a Listed race. Hard to oppose
  22. PARACHUTISTE – Last run when 10th was in a Group 1, was a winner before that over 2150m at Parislongchamp. One for all bets and has a strong each way chance
  23. SCORTHY CHAMP – Makes the local appearance, finished 6th at The Curragh over 1600m on the 24th of last month and will have a bright chance here. Respect and include
  24. DUMONET – Comes into the race off a Listed win at Bordeaux Le Bouscat and should be able to make the presence felt at the finish. Include as the place value
  25. BAY CITY ROLLER – Finished 2nd at Sandown on the 29th of May over 1600m in a competitive Listed race and can run well here first up in France. Outside chance
  26. SINILEO – Won on debut at Chantilly then finished back in 8th at the second run in a Group 1. Forgive that, expect way better. Good chance
Summary: DARYZ (1) tackles his first Group 2 and comes into the contest having won impressively a Listed over 2000m at Parislongchamp. He is obviously talented and rather progressive so should be able to deliver to the task at hand. Firm first choice. PARACHUTISTE (2) lined up in a Group 1 last time at Chantilly and takes a slight drop-in class this time and can be expected to go very close in this. He won his penultimate start. Big chance. SINILEO (6) showed on debut that the last effort can be improved upon. It was a Group 1, and he has a strong place chance dropping back in class. SCORTHY CHAMP (3) can finish in the first four and must be respected for most bets.

  29. RAGNAR CITY – Fourth in a Handicap at Angers over 2300m on 20 May. Capable of contesting the finish again and must be respected
  30. NEPALAIS – Unplaced in a Handicap at Chantilly over 2400m on 1 June. Others are much preferred in this line-up

  33. KING TREZY – Third in a Handicap at Chantilly over 2400m on 1 June. Christophe Soumillon reunites, and they should make a bold bid for victory

  35. SHEEMA’S ROSE – Fourth in a Handicap at Compiegne over 2800m on 21 June. Drawn wide, and others are preferred in this line-up
  36. MASSIMO MERIDIO – Unplaced in a Handicap at Bordeaux-Le Bouscat over 2400m on 11 June. Probably best watched for now
  37. TIGER ROCK – Fourth in a Handicap at Chantilly over 2400m on 1 June. Distance-suited and can play a minor role at best
  38. MAIA STAR – Finished 7th in a Handicap at this track over 2100m on 19 May. Unlikely to be involved in the finish
  39. LOUVAGNY – Fourth in a Handicap at ParisLongchamp over 2000m on 5 June. Has not been seen at Saint-Cloud since its debut effort, when it finished third. Warrants attention
  40. DREAMS – A winner in a Handicap at this track over 2500m on 23 April. Track-suited and can play a minor role
  41. STEP MORNING – Fourth in a Handicap at Nantes over 3100m on 22 May. Debuts at this track but needs to improve to feature
  42. CIRCEO – A runner-up in a Handicap at this track over 2400m on 3 June. Track-suited and has every chance again
Summary: KING TREZY (7) is in good form, and Christophe Soumillon could get the winning tune out of the colt over a course and distance that suits. This is a competitive handicap, and LOUVAGNY (13) was not disgraced in his first attempt at this level and should have more to offer. RAGNAR CITY (3) is holding his form well and has an obvious winning chance. CIRCEO (16) is not the most reliable but is coming off a good run at this track and could go one better.

  45. DARK SUMMIT – Was victorious at the third time of asking when racing over 1600m at Vichy on the 14th of May and can go one from that. Respect and include in all bets. Good chance
  46. TRUST ON – Ran on the 6th of this month at Compiegne over 1600m and won well by a margin of 4 lengths which was impressive. Big danger
  47. QUEEN’S TRIAL – Won with plenty in hand on debut over 2000m at Compiegne on the 9th of this month and is confidently selected to remain unbeaten after this. Win
  48. PYRAMIDE – Will need progression on latest 5th placing at this track earlier this month and others are preferred. Can be ignored
  49. KHADIDJA – Won at Strasbourg over 1400m on the 15th of September last year and against much weaker. Returns from a rest and should need. Happy to ignore
  50. PINKY CEN – Placed way back in 10th spot at Parislongchamp on the 17th of April and will need to serve up plenty more than that to feature. Can be overlooked
Summary: QUEEN’S TRIAL (5) is well bred and showed on debut that she has gears. She won with a bit in hand and appears to be hard to oppose. DARK SUMMIT (3) is improving with each and every run and surely has scope to build off the last run which was a winning one at Vichy. TRUST ON (4) is one for the shortlist but has more of a place chance, than a winning one. PIQUOISEAU (1) can give a good account of himself especially after the good effort in the Group 3.

  54. EL INGRATO – Finished third over 2400m at La Teste-Bassin Arcachon in Class 4 Handicap on 16 June. He should handle the step up to Class 3 and an honest run is expected
  55. ZENITA – Comes off a good second-place finish over 2400m on this course in Class 3 Handicap on 10 June. She jumps from a good draw of three and is the horse to side with
  56. LOLLIPOP DES PINS – Finished third over 2500m at Parislongchamp in Class 3 Handicap on 30 April. Merits obvious inclusion
  57. GREASE – Returned to winning ways over 3000m at Le Lion D’Angers in Class 4 Handicap on 29 May. Up in class but the booking of Cristian Demuro is a big plus

  62. NEOWISE – Poor form this year. Finished unplaced over 2400m on this course in Class 3 Handicap on 10 June. Look elsewhere
  63. SUCCESS STORY – Finished fifth over 2400m at Le Lion D’Angers in Class 4 Handicap on 8 June. More needed to win this
Summary: ZENITA (5) comes into this contest in good form. She finished second over this course and distance on 10 June. She is ideally drawn and may be the one to side with. GREASE (7) won a Class 4 Handicap on 29 May. Cristian Demuro rides, he is in a good space and is one of the leading contenders. LOLLIPOP DES PINS (6) ran a decent race when third over 2500m on 30 April. It would be no surprise to see her win a race of this nature. SAVILE ROW (10) is better than his last outing and if finding the form of his penultimate run, he can show.

  64. CALANDAGAN – Found one too good in the form of Jan Brueghel when second in the Group 1 Betfred Coronation Cup over 2400m at Epsom on 6 June. He is capable of going one better in this line-up
  65. IRESINE – Finished behind Goliath when fourth in the Group 3 La Couple over 2000m at Parislongchamp on 8 June. May find it difficult to turn the form around
  66. GOLIATH – Returned to winning ways in the Group 3 La Coupe over 2000m at Parislongchamp on 8 June. He is having his peak run and merits healthy respect
  67. JUNKO – Finished third in a Group 2 over 2400m at Chantilly on 1 June. He is having his peak run and can show
  68. AVENTURE – Is a winner of her two starts this year, the latest was in the Group 2 Prix Corrida over 2100m on this course on 19 May. She is loaded with class and can bring up the hat-trick
Summary: Group 2 Prix Corrida winner AVENTURE (5) is in search of the hat-trick. She is unbeaten from two starts this year and is loaded with class. Maxime Guyon rides and a big run is expected. CALANDAGAN (1) tried hard when second behind Jan Brueghel in the Group 1 Betfred Coronation Cup on 6 June. He should throw out the biggest challenge. GOLIATH (3) returned to winning ways in good fashion in the Group 3 La Coupe on 8 June. Christophe Soumillon retains the ride, and he merits healthy respect. JUNKO (4) is coming along the right way this year and is having his peak run. He should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

  73. MONCLAR DE MIX – Unplaced over 2200m at Dieppe in Maiden on 14 June. May find this difficult

  76. MONONOF – Finished fourth over 2400m at Parislongchamp in Class 3 Handicap on 19 June. Has a decent shout
  77. COCOON QUATRE – Disappointing last two starts. Finished ninth over 2400m at Bordeaux Le Bouscat in Class 3 Handicap on 11 June. Others have a stronger chance
  78. LA GUERCHE – Fair latest when fifth over 2400m at Parislongchamp in Class 3 Handicap on 8 June. Well drawn and should run an honest race
  79. ONE POINT – Unplaced over 2400m on this course in Class 2 Handicap on 3 June. Drops back in class and needs to produce best form
Summary: LIGHTNING BOLT (7) is having his first run this year. He clearly has ability and drops back to Class 3. If not in need of the outing, it would be no surprise to see him win a race of this nature. PAPER TROPHY (2) comes into this contest in good form and is one of the leading contenders. DEVIL IN THE SKY (1) has consistent recent form lines to his credit. He jumps from a handy barrier position and should have a say in the outcome of this contest. MONONOF (8) is coming along the right way this year and finished fourth over 2400m on 19 June. Chance if this run has not come too soon.

  80. AZOU – Finished fourth over 2800m at Compiegne in Class 2 Conditional on 21 June. May find this outing difficult
  81. INNAMORATO – Is better than his last start when seventh over 2100m on this course in Handicap on 1 May. He finished second in his previous three outings and is a threat on that form
  82. DANSE ETOILEE – Finished sixth over 2700m at Parislongchamp in Handicap on 29 May. Will enjoy the step up to 3000m
  83. QUEST FOR MAGIC – Showed good natural improvement when second over 2500m at Evreux-Navarre in Maiden on 27 May. She should have no issues with the rise to 3000m and can go one better
  84. OVER THE CLOUDS – Finished sixth over 2500m on this course in Claimer on 10 June. Needs to put best foot forward
  85. DON’T SHUT ME DOWN – Disappointing latest when seventh over 2400m at Compiegne in Class 3 Conditional on 30 May. Maxime Guyon rides and needs to improve
  86. SO GATSBY – Finished fourth over 3200m at Le Mans in Maiden on 3 May. She has no stamina issues and should give a good account of herself
  87. BUBBLE ZARA – Showed some improvement when fifth over 3000m at Dieppe in Maiden on 24 May. She is coming along the right way and can show
  88. VENDOMYA – Won over 2500m at Croise-Laroche in Handicap on 18 May. Place chance if repeating that effort in this line-up
Summary: QUEST FOR MAGIC (4) showed good improvement when second over 2500m on 27 May. She should love the rise to 3000m and may be the one to beat. INNAMORATO (2) found the 2100m on the short side on 1 May. He should be ideally suited to this distance and has a chance on previous form. BUBBLE ZARA (8) ran a fair race when fifth over this distance at Dieppe on 24 May. She has scope and may have more to come. SO GATSBY (7) comes off a fair fourth-place finish over further. C1 – PRIX CAFE DU COMMERCE – AUNEAU – 2800m (a2m) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 19,500

  1. MERVEILLE MIKA – In the frame in 2 of 3, latterly 2nd of 12 in a 2750m Elbeuf Class G on 18 May. Takes on a better lot this time and can pick up a first-5 payout
  2. MOURILLON – Stormed up on debut a month ago in a 2800m Rambouillet Class F. Makes Chartres debut with morale intact and can expect the lion’s share of support. Claim
  3. MAGIC DE VAUVILLE – Given time to recalibrate after finishing last but one in a 2875m Meslay-du-Maine Class E on 5 May but is unlikely to spring any surprises
  4. MIRABELLE DE LARRE – Moderate filly starting for first time since being sanctioned in a 2250m Enghien monte Class D in March and can expect to have few friends
  5. MILAN DU BOSQUET – Has done nothing but improve since his April debut, most recently 3rd of 10 in a 2775m Class F at Les Sables d’Olonne on 3 June, and looks main threat to MOURILLON (2)
  6. MAESTRIA DE YEDRAG – Sanctioned when competitive for a cheque 9 days ago in a 2700m Class E at La Capelle. Trainer back in the bike and can figure prominently if she maintains stride
  7. MACCHIATO ABSOLUTE – 4th of 6 finishers in a 2600m claimer at Châlons-en-Champagne 3 weeks ago and in this company will have nothing to contribute
  8. MARVIN D’ALGOT – Got off the mark at Alencon on 11 May before being sanctioned in a 2400m Amiens Class E a fortnight later. Entrusted to Franck Nivard this time and will appreciate the return to racing left-handed. Place chance
Summary: Convincing winner on turf at Rambouillet first time out, MOURILLON (2) has been afforded ample time to recover and considering the form of Mathieu Mottier’s yard, is eminently capable of repeating. He will still come under pressure from the promising MILAN DU BOSQUET (5) who will be reined by Eric Raffin again, and MARVIN D’ALGOT (8) who should not be too hastily-judged for failing to confirm his Alencon victory. Although sanctioned more often than not, MAESTRIA DE YEDRAG (6) has bags of ability and will be no shrinking violet if Sylvain Roger keeps her trotting.

  9. LOUISE MONTBELLO – Sanctioned on re-entry before running 7th of 14 in a 2850m Laval Class F 9 days ago and can be ruled out
  10. LOVE YOUR SONG – Made amends for a pair of blips when winning a 3150m Mamers Class H on 9 June. Pleased on lone Chartres start and steps back up in category with a lot to contribute
  11. LALE – Placed at Les Sables before being sanctioned in a 2200m Caen Class E 10 days ago. Paul Ploquin reining this time and will be no pushover if he can keep her trotting
  12. LADY VICTORY – Makes first appearance since finishing 8th of 13 in a 2200m Caen Class F last March. Shoes on and poses no danger
  13. LA FRILEUSE – Made it 2 in a row when securing a 2950m Toulouse Class F 3 months ago. Unraced since but plainly has a lot of untapped potential and can pick up where she left off
  14. LIVINE – Ran 3rd at Le Croise-Laroche before coming in a somewhat unlucky 5th of 14 in a 2400m Amiens Class F on 12 June. Continues to race barefoot and while not a priority, should nevertheless acquit herself honourably
  15. LUTECE D’OUVILLE – Imposed at Gournay-en-Bray before being sanctioned when going well in a 2200m Caen Class E 10 days ago. Is plainly in fine shape and Grégoire Houel will be keen to put things right. First 5
  16. LILOU – 10th of 11 finishers in a 2200m Caen Class E 10 days ago. Form has done nothing but regress since the start of the year and chances appear slim
  17. LATINA DU FER – Last but one when being conditioned in a 2950m Saint-Malo Class E 3 weeks ago. Goes barefoot with Eric Raffin in the bike and will justifiably garner support
  18. LYXIE KNIGHT – Pleasant 2nd of 8 finishers in a 2700m Graignes claimer and already looks out of her depth
  19. LA FALINE – Placed on re-entry before coming 6th of 11 in a 2800m Pontchateau Class E on 5 June. Is shod as she was at Graignes though and has the wherewithal to finish in the mix
  20. LANGONE – Imposed at Le Croise-Laroche before running 7th of 10 in a Class E over course and distance in early-May. Has had time to freshen up and with shoes off this time must be considered a contender
Summary: Like a horse reborn since starting to race barefoot, LA FRILEUSE (5) may not have been seen out since March, and sports 4 pads for the first time, but still seems good enough to win this. Adrien Ernault will still want to be wary of the tricky LOVE YOUR SONG (2) who got back in the game earlier in the month, and the nicely-entered LANGONE (12) who returns to racing barefoot after having prepped here in early-May. LALE (3) has pleased since coming south and on good behaviour can play a prominent role.

  21. LUCKY SOTHO – 2nd of 13 in a 2700m Segre Class F on 14 June and even with Franck Nivard reining will struggle to make his presence felt
  22. L’HEMENCOURT – Showed marked improvement when 2nd of 8 in a 2550m Reims Class F on 9 June. Trainer in the bike this time but is proven here and with form maintained can get in on the action
  23. LOULOU DU PRATEL – Returns to racing left-handed after coming 5th of 13 in a 2200m Caen Class E 10 days ago. Cannot be considered a priority but has the wherewithal to play a small role
  24. LIOR DE SASSY – Surprisingly lost his action in a 2200m Caen Class E 10 days ago. Is an honest trotter but is unlikely to shake things up
  25. LARRE – Ran 2nd at Villedieu-les-Poëles before faulting in a 2700m Graignes claimer a fortnight ago and may just be taking on too much this time
  26. LUCIANO VET – Left a good impression when 4th of 13, on first start since late-March, in a 2650m Class F at Les Sables-d’Olonne on 3 June, and looks a leading contender this time around
  27. L’AMIRAL DE CHANGE – Got off the mark in a 2700m Avranches Class F mid-month. Entrusted to Paul Ploquin this time and although unlikely to double up, can nevertheless pick up a cheque
  28. LIEUTENANT COLUMBO – Last of 5 finishers in a 3000m Le Neuborg Class F on 9 June and has no possible chance
  29. LOUP DE MER – Last but one in a 2700m Graignes Class F on 5 June. Shod to preference this time but still has nothing to offer
  30. L’ELDORADO – In the frame in last 2, most recently 2nd of 12 in a 2850m Laon Class F 3 weeks ago. Steps up in category but can still challenge for a place in the frame
  31. L’AMI LUC – More than made up for Amiens clinker when victorious in a 2550m Gournay-en-Bray Class F 3 weeks ago. Top driver in the bike here and will be expected to contest the finish
  32. LEPIDOPTERISTE – Sanctioned in both since the break, latterly a 2400m Amiens Class D late last month. Has a lot going for him and can capitalise if his driver keeps him trotting
Summary: A quality colt that produced a fine effort on his re-entry early this month, LUCIANO VET (6) will have come on for the run and can finally get that maiden monkey off his back. That said, Eric Raffin takes over on recent Gournay winner L’AMI LUC (11), while Mathieu Mottier has been drafted in for the complicated, but well-engaged and reconfigured, LEPIDOPTERISTE (12). L’ELDORADO (10) has turned a corner lately and returns to Chartres with a better hand to play.

  33. KOSTELLO DE LOU – Sanctioned in both starts since the break, latterly a 2800m Rambouillet Class F a month back. Has nothing to prove in this company and with application can challenge for the win
  34. KRYSTA DE KERYANN – Kicked the year off successfully but disappointing since, most recently 6th of 10 finishers in a 2975m Jallais Class F on 15 June, and can be passed over
  35. KENAVO PAROYO – Just missed out on the hat-trick when 2nd of 11 in a 2500m Reims Class E 3 weeks ago and in current condition is easy to like for a spot on the podium
  36. KOBALT APPLE – Has not been seen out since finishing 10th of 13 in a 2750m Class E at La Capelle in early-April. Shoes off for comeback but still not a priority
  37. KELOMA DREAM – Out of the picture in last 2, latterly 8th of 10 finishers in a 2100m Vincennes Class E last Tuesday. Unlikely to shake things up but can still get a look-in
  38. KILIM D’OMBLAIS – In the frame in last 3, latterly 3rd of 8 in a 2950m Saint-Malo Class E 3 weeks ago, and his candidacy must be taken seriously
  39. KEEPSAKE MOSSA – Ran an encouraging 5th of 15 in a 2100m Vincennes Class E on 13 June and will be no pushover if he can run to the same mark. Place chance
  40. KIARA DE JADE – Won last 2, most recently a 3150m Abbeville Class F on 11 May, but runs shod and not a concern this time
  41. KALI DES LANDIERS – Drops marginally in category after running 7th of 11 in a 2100m Vincennes Class E earlier in the month. Sanctioned on lone start at the venue but with application can play a small part
  42. KERIDA BEST – Sprang a 52/1 surprise when 2nd of 10 in a 2400m Amiens Class E 2.5 weeks ago, although a repeat seems improbable
  43. KATINKA COTON – Useful mare that finished last but one, on re-entry, in a 2800m Bernay Class E mid-month. Shoes on and best to wait
  44. KALAMA DE BEYLEV – Should not be too hastily judged for running 7th of 14 in a 2975m Jallais Class F a fortnight back. Has otherwise been in fine form and makes her Chartres debut with a good hand to play
  45. KLARISSE – Tricky sort that was sanctioned in a 2850m Laval Class E on comeback 2.5 weeks ago and is going to need another outing
  46. KADIJA MESLOISE – 10th of 13 when preparing for this in a 2700m Segre Class E mid-month. Showed her form at La Capelle and considering the entry, can impose
Summary: Wonderfully engaged at the limit of earnings, KADIJA MESLOISE (14) returns to racing unshod-behind after having prepped at Segre and can win this if she replicates her late-May performance. KOSTELLO DE LOU (1) comes here on a hat-trick of sanctions but has the credentials to secure a race of this nature. KEEPSAKE MOSSA (7) gave a good account of himself in Paris recently and with form maintained can figure more prominently. KENAVO PAROYO (3) has not put a foot wrong all year and his recent Reims effort bodes well for his chances.

  47. KARL DU CHATELET – 8th of 12 finishers in a 2850m Laval Class E on Thursday and backs up with no realistic chance
  48. KIF DE COSSE – Won 2 on the trot before finishing 11th of 13 when preparing for this in a 2775m Craon harness Class F a week ago. Is back in his code of preference and although unlikely to impose should nevertheless hold his own
  49. KARNET DE VOYAGE – Romped at Le Neubourg on 9 June before repeating a week later in a 2950m Vichy Class F. Top jockey in the saddle this time and is expected to take all the beating
  50. KATLEEN REYOR – Sanctioned in last 2, latterly a 2450m Caen Class E last Monday. Seldom disappoints when focused and with application can play an active role
  51. KHEOPS DU LOISIR – Oddly lacklustre 8th of 13 in a 2850m Feurs harness Class E last weekend. Has otherwise been firing on all cylinders and, considering how well he imposed here in March, must be taken very seriously
  52. KARMA LIGHT – Back in the code after finishing 9th of 11 in a 2400m Amiens harness Class E 2.5 weeks ago and is unlikely to influence the outcome
  53. KAWASAKI ERA – 6th of 7 finishers in a 2450m Caen Class E late-May. Is not devoid of ability but nevertheless needs to pull her socks up
  54. KALINKA MELRIC – Runner-up in last 3, latterly a 2500m Savigny-sur-Braye Class E 2 weeks ago. Is patently close to her race but may have to settle for marginally less this time around. First 5
  55. KOUP DROIT – Opened his French account when lifting a 2650m Laon harness Class E 3 weeks ago and, if form transitions, can play a leading role on ridden debut
  56. KRESUS LOVE – Has 2 runs under his belt since the break, most recently 7th of 12 in a 2875m Argentan Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Is not without merit but others still easier to back
Summary: KARNET DE VOYAGE (3) produced 3 solid performances following his lengthy break and with Mathieu Mottier in the irons looks throughly capable of securing the 3-timer. Course-and-distance winner earlier in the year, KHEOPS DU LOISIR (5) returns to the code with a lot to offer, as does monte debutant KOUP DROIT (9) who gets a Paul Ploquin ride for the occasion. KATLEEN REYOR (4) may not be the easiest of horses to handle but she will be partnered by Eric Raffin for the first time and will be no soft touch if she stays in stride.

  57. JOLI DE CONNEE – Unable to confirm Moulins victory when 12th of 14 in a 2825m Durtal Class E on 1 June. Is in decent shape though and should not be entirely written off
  58. JAZZMAN – Pulled-up in a 2825m Durtal Class E on 1 June. Yet to be beaten with his driver and, if focused, can win his first of the summer
  59. JACKPOT BOOSTER – 9th of 13 when prepping for this in a 3150m Abbeville Class F mid-month. Should be suited to Chartres profile, races barefoot this time, and with application will not be far from the action
  60. JISA DES LOYAUX – Encouraged at Erbray before finishing 10th of 16 in a 2775m Craon Class D last weekend, and is not about to spice things up
  61. JOKER DREAM – Got back in the winners’ circle at Amiens 3 weeks ago when successful in a 2400m amateurs Class G. Has placed in 1 of 2 here but others still preferred
  62. J’Y SUIS J’Y RESTE – Made it 3 on the trot when successful in a 3125m Ranes Class H on 9 June. In marginally better company here and will be no easy touch
  63. JOB KERVILOU – Pleasant 4th of 18 in a 2825m Sable-sur-Sarthe Class E 3 weeks ago. Goes barefoot this time, with Mathieu Mottier in the bike, and will be expected to finish in the mix
  64. JAVANAIS – Steps back up in category after winning a 2550m Class H at Gournay-en-Bray 3 weeks ago and will again be competitive at the business end of the race
  65. JOA DE LA LOUTRIE – Pleasantly surprising 2nd of 12 in a 2750m Elbeuf Class F a week ago. On this occasion though will have too much to do
  66. JEFF DE TILLARD – Winner under the saddle here in April but could manage no closer than 9th of 12 in a 2850m Laval Class E on 16 May and others easier to back
  67. JOADIE WIND – Last of 11, following an uneasy start, when being conditioned in a 2200m Caen Class D last Monday. Was by no means disgraced and can get a look-in if Franck Nivard keeps her focused
  68. JUSTE DU GERS – Last but one in a 2800m Pontchateau Class D on 5 June. Shoes fitted this time and is best left alone
  69. JORIA MESLOISE – Produced a brace of good efforts before being sanctioned in a 2825m Class E at Sable-sur-Sarthe 3 weeks ago. Starts on back row, which is not easy to do at Chartres, but still has the capacity to finish close
Summary: JAZZMAN (2) may not be the most reliable of horses but he is reunited with Eric Raffin who won his only start with him and, shod to preference this time, looks the one to beat. JORIA MESLOISE (13) is 25m worse off but benefits from a terrific entry and Paul Ploquin can be confident of a big run. J’Y SUIS J’Y RESTE (6) pulled off the hat-trick last time out and even though in better company still looks a major player. Runner-up here before imposing at Gournay a week later, JAVANAIS (8) is hard to ignore.

  70. IDEAL DE REVAT – Oddly disappointing 7th of 17, a place behind INSTANT KARMA (4), in a 2800m Pontchateau Class F on 5 June. Has otherwise been in pretty good shape and the engagement of Mathieu Mottier will only work in his favour
  71. HARLEY DE JANEIRO – Placed just once in 9 this term, most recently 7th of 10 in a 2800m Rambouillet amateurs Class G a week ago, and races here with limited ambition
  72. ITALICA – Has struggled since returning to racing barefoot, latterly 6th of 12 finishers in a 2825m Durtal Class F last weekend, and is not about to create an upset
  73. INSTANT KARMA – Pleasant and surprising 6th of 17 in a 2800m Pontchateau Class F on 5 June. Front shoes off this time and with Paul Ploquin reining will be afforded every chance. First 5
  74. IYAR – Imposed at Orleans before repeating in a 3150m Abbeville Class F a month back, and returns to a hard surface with every chance of giving IGRISONI (12) something to think about. Chance
  75. GOLDEN LORD MIJACK – Returns to the professional ranks after coming 2nd of 12 in a 2850m Laon amateurs Class G 3 weeks ago. Starts in front this time but looks no more than a minor place prospect
  76. ILCAR QUARTMA – Disappointing lately, most recently 7th of 13 in a 3500m Class F at Savigny-sur-Braye a fortnight ago, and can be confidently ruled out
  77. INDIANO JIM – 9th of 12 finishers in a Class E over course and distance on 1 June and seems to be taking on too much once again
  78. IXIA DE BOUERE – Has looked ordinary since returning to competition, most recently well-beaten in a 2700m Thouars amateurs Class H on 9 June. Barefoot this time but still not a priority
  79. IFALCO DE MAY – Imposed at Argentan before running 4th of 13 in a 2500m Reims Class F 3 weeks ago. Champion driver at the helm and is not to be underestimated
  80. HORS SAISON – Sanctioned in a 2100m Vincennes Class E on 20 June. In less-exalted company this time and will be dangerous if she runs to her mark
  81. IGRISONI – Very hard to fault of late, most recently 3rd of 15 in a 2900m Amiens Class F on 7 June. Runner-up in both Chartres runs and with front pads fitted for first time here, can finally get back in the winners’ circle
Summary: Clearly back at the top of his game over recent weeks, the terrifically-engaged IGRISONI (12) returns to a track he adores and if in the same shape as he was at Amiens, the race could well be his for the taking. The more complicated IYAR (5) however comes here on a hat-trick and, 25m better off, looks the main threat. HORS SAISON (11) is better than latest numbers would suggest and must be considered a player. IFALCO DE MAY (10) is not far off winning another and the engagement of Eric Raffin speaks volumes.

  83. INCROYABLE MORGAN – 2nd of 10 in a 3150m Abbeville Class F a fortnight back. Has not put a foot wrong under the saddle all season and will be competitive at the business end of affairs
  84. IDEAL D’ARTONGES – Failed to confirm Le Croise-Laroche performance when 8th of 10 finishers in a 2700m Vincennes Class E 12 days ago. Sanctioned in all 3 starts here, and races shod, but can play a small part if focused
  85. HYM SUBLIGNAIS – Modest 6th of 9 behind IAGO DE SENOVILLE (1) in a 2700m Avranches Class F 2 weeks ago. Has respectable Chartres references but still not a priority
  86. IGOR DU PARC – Quality element making first appearance since running 7th of 12 in a 2825m Cordemais Class D in late-February. Is clearly in competition-mode though and should bring the fight to IN LOVE DE BLARY (8)
  87. GAROU BEJI – Ended 2024 on a good note but disappointing since, latterly 9th of 11 to IN LOVE DE BLARY (8) in a 2800m Pontchateau Class E on 5 June, and must get his house in order
  88. ELDER SHADOW – Disappointing in both codes this year, most recently last but one in a 2825m harness Class E here on 1 June, and can be confidently disregarded
  89. IN LOVE DE BLARY – 11th of 12 in a 2100m Vincennes harness Class E conditioner on 20 June. Leading jockey aboard once more and has every chance of confirming his Pontchateau success
  90. HONNEUR DU CEBE – Returns to the code after coming 4th of 11 in a 3175m Saint-Omer Class E on 1 June. Shod to preference here and must not be underestimated
Summary: When focused, IN LOVE DE BLARY (8) is an excellent servant in this branch of the game; she dominated at Pontchateau earlier in the month and, sporting a new configuration, can repeat. Paul Ploquin will still be keeping a keen eye on the Chartres-loving IGOR DU PARC (5) who is barefoot for his first start for 4 months, and the nicely-entered, and reconfigured, HONNEUR DU CEBE (9) who showed his form under harness as Saint-Omer last time out. A fine campaigner under the saddle, INCROYABLE MORGAN (2) has been reconfigured for his return to the venue and is very easy to recommend.

JOYCE DELTO (3) has been very good all year and would not be a surprise winner. HERO SIBEY (15) has not been at his best this year but remains quite capable of winning.
