- FIFTH ELEMENT – Did not show much on debut when 11th in a Conditions race at Dieppe over 1800m on 7 June. Capable of improvement but others are preferred
Summary: SLEIPNIR NORMANDY (1) didn’t go unnoticed when making up a lot of ground to finish 5th over track and trip recently, and a repeat of that effort in this lineup could suffice. Regally bred CRIMSON TIDE (3) lacks experience/maturity but she remains open to improvement and will likely have a say at this level. ISLAND FANTASY (8) and ABISOLA (4) are capable of better performances and should be competitive for a spot on the podium.

- HELLO KENT – A three-year-old gelding by Kendargent out of Nimpheas who is making his debut. Watch the betting
Summary: BEAUVALLON (1) would’ve come on appreciably from the experience of an encouraging debut at ParisLongchamp in early April and this well-bred half-brother to Group I winner Poetic Flare could be worth siding with given the expected improvement. However, improving FAITHFUL FRIEND (4), runner-up at Saint-Cloud in May, and recent Craon 3rd YALA (6) will make life difficult. SEDITION (5) appeals most of the remainder.

- LATINA DANCE – A three-year-old filly by Latrobe out of Nobina who is making his debut. Trainer knows what is needed to win on debut
Summary: MA SPRING DREAM (8), a faller recently on debut over hurdles, is an interesting runner switched to the flat for Joël Boisnard, who has enjoyed great success at Nantes. She’s taken to get the better of Elisabeth Allaire’s newcomer LATINA DANCE (10) and fellow debutante GELINA (7), representing a stable in good form. DESIRE PARADISE (9), another unraced filly, and WUTZELITO (4) are others capable of getting into the picture.

Summary: MINOTAUROS (2) was a winner at this meeting off a similar mark last year but has not won since. However, judged on the performance of his recent 4th over track and trip recently, a return to winning ways seems near. ALPHA SPIRIT (4) will likely fight for victory with if reproducing a similar effort to that which saw him finish 3rd at Bordeaux last time. TOOCOOLFORSCHOOL (1) and ESTELLA MOBRAY (3) aren’t underestimated either.

Summary: Hard-knocker GALIK (8) deserves a reward for his consistency and seems good value to go one better after a recent runners-up finish over track and trip. Bottom-weight J’AURIS DU (9) also arrives in good order with the form and experience to play a leading role in this lineup. LE SICILIEN (1) also has the means to have a say in the outcome. ALCOTAN (3) and BABY GEORGE (6) appeal most of the remainder.

C1 – PRIX SAINT DESIR LISIEUX – 2675m (a1m1/2) – Class G Amateur Drivers Race – Harness – EUR € 6,000
- HULK SUN DRALIAM – Reverts to a previous configuration after winning a 3150m Ranes amateurs Class H on 22 June. Unlikely to repeat but can nevertheless play a small part
- INDIANA BUROISE – 6th of 14 to HULK SUN DRALIAM (1) in a 3150m Ranes amateurs Class H on 22 June. Starts in front but takes on too much this time around
- JUNON DES ROSES – Makes first appearance in the amateur category after running 4th of 12 in a 2500m Reims Class F on 21 June. Is nicely-placed in front, pleased on lone Lisieux start, and looks competitively well in
- JOLIE DU LOIR – 5th of 14 to HULK SUN DRALIAM (1) in a 3150m Ranes amateurs Class H on 22 June. Has been handed a good draw and even though shod should not be ruled out
- ILOS DU GOUTIER – 10th of 16 in a 2700m Graignes Class F late last month and would be preferred in the other code
- JULIO DU RIB – Returns to racing shod after coming 6th of 12 in a 2800m Chartres Class F a fortnight back. Ideally-entered here and looks a serious proposition
- INTOUCHABLE AR – Pulled-up in a 3125m Granville Class H last weekend. Has been a write-off so far this season and can be ruled out
- IDYLLIC DREAM – Deservedly rewarded with victory in a 3100m amateurs Class H at Nort-sur-Erdre on 9 June, and with shoes off will be difficult to oppose
- JACKPOT D’AXEL – Should not be too hastily-judged for coming last but one to HULK SUN DRALIAM (1) in a 3150m Ranes amateurs Class H 11 days ago. Is confirmed here and will be expected to put things right. Place chance
- JAB KISS – Makes just 2nd amateur start after finishing 10th of 12 behind JULIO DU RIB (6) in a 2800m Chartres Class F a fortnight ago. Is plainly better than that and will be dangerous if Sébastien Dewulf successfully navigates the start
- GANAABA BLUE – Pleasantly surprising 4th of 16 in a 2850m amateurs Class G at Sable-sur-Sarthe last Sunday although a repeat is hard to envisage
- ITAC DE PICDOM – Out of the picture in both this term, latterly sanctioned in a 2825m Durtal Class F on 22 June, and the draw will not help matters
- JOY DA VINCI – Back racing barefoot after finishing last but one in a 2700m Thouars Class F on 9 June and has nothing to contribute
- JAZZ DES TOURS – Failed to confirm Saint-Brieuc performance when 6th of 16 behind GANAABA BLUE (11) in a 2850m amateurs Class G at Sable-sur-Sarthe last Sunday but is still competitive for a first-5 cheque
- INSOMNIA ERCA – Encouraged at Villedieu but disappointing 8th of 14 in a 2400m Amiens amateurs Class G on 7 June and the draw only adds insult to injury
- GUERRIER DE BRETT – Unraced since finishing last but one in a 2825m Villedieu-les-Poëles amateurs Class H late-March and quite simply has nothing to offer
Summary: IDYLLIC DREAM (8) has hardly put a foot wrong in the amateur division recently and even though drawn wide this time, he will be barefoot for the occasion and can make it 2 on the trot. JULIO DU RIB (6) enjoys an excellent entry, is confirmed here, and despite being shod will be no pushover. JAB KISS (10) similarly sports shoes and is forced to start on the back row, but has solid references at a superior level and must be considered a player. Solid in 3 of his last 4, including a good effort here, JACKPOT D’AXEL (9) is shod as he was that day and is easy to like.

C2 – PRIX ARPA 14 – OLIVIER DUHAMEL – 2675m (a1m1/2) – Class F Race – Harness – EUR € 17,500 - MILADY DREAM – Imposed on debut at Ranes but unable to repeat when 7th of 13 in a 2800m Vire Class E last week and others easier to back
- MORA DREAM – Sanctioned in last 3, most recently a 2850m Laval Class E last week, and needs to pull her socks up
- MARQUISE DES ARRIS – Opened her account at Neuillé-Pont-Pierre late-May before being sanctioned in a 2625m Cherbourg Class E on 15 June. Steps up in category but breaks from the 3-spot and will generate some interest
- MELUSINEDARCHE – Out of the picture so far this year, latterly last of 13 behind MILADY DREAM (1) in a 2800m Vire Class E last week, and can be confidently disregarded
- MA LIBERTE – Left a very good impression on debut early last month, winning a 2150m Durtal Class G. Drawn nicely behind the car and can maintain her unbeaten status
- MUSE DU VIVIER – Stormed up on debut late-May before being sanctioned in a 2525m Class E at Les Andelys mid-June. Yoann Lebourgeois in the bike this time and can make a big impact if he keeps her focused. Chance
- MORNING PRAYER – Made up for Ranes sanction when 2nd of 12 in a 2400m Amiens Class F last Saturday and on better behaviour can open her account
- MISSING FLIGNY – Failed to confirm Villedieu-les-Poëles victory when sanctioned in a 2850m Laval Class E a week ago. Forced to break wide but has evident ability and with application can finish close
- MOSTRA – Qualified in 1’18″4 at Caen in early-April. Handed an unfavourable draw but is nevertheless worth keeping an eye on
- MERVEILLE DE FLEUR – Got off the mark at the first time of asking, securing a 2150m Ranes Class G on 22 June. Has pulled a tough number here but is not to be ruled out
- MADE IN DAIRPET – Unraced since faulting in a 2550m Reims Class E mid-April and is unlikely to be given a hard race
- MACUMBA MESLOISE – In the frame in both starts to date, latterly 3rd of 9 finishers in a 2275m Craon Class F 10 days ago. Not ideally-positioned but will have a lot to offer if she takes to the hard surface
- MAYA D’AUBRIERE – Makes first appearance since running 2nd of 8 finishers in a 2725m Class F here on 18 May. Has freshness on her side but still not an obvious choice
- MUSE DE L’AVRE – Confirmed her 2024 qualification when winning a 2550m Gournay-en-Bray Class G on debut early last month. Takes on a better lot this time and the draw will do her no favours
- MILADY BEAUTY – Placed on debut but failed to confirm when 6th of 9 finishers in a 2850m Laval Class E a week ago. Pulled the 15-spot and will struggle to make her presence felt
- MEDAL OF HONOR – Showed early promise but disappointing in last 2, most recently last of 12 in a 2825m Sable-sur-Sarthe Class F on 8 June, and must get her house in order
Summary: Nicely-related and impressive winner a month ago first time out, MA LIBERTE (5) enjoys a good spot on the front line and looks a marginally better bet than MUSE DU VIVIER (6) who was highly impressive on her own debut. MORNING PRAYER (7) came close to losing her maiden tag at Amiens and should again prove competitive. MACUMBA MESLOISE (12) has done everything right so far and despite a second-row draw still looks a decent place chance.

- LOVE DE BELLOUET – Unraced since finishing last of 9 in a 2750m Cabourg Class E last December and has no possible chance
- LIPSTICK BOND – Sanctioned in last 2, most recently a 3000m Chateaubriant Class F on 8 June. Will be fully fit by now, breaks in front, and will not be far from the action if Mathieu Mottier keeps him trotting
- LORD DU GRAIS – Encouraging 3rd of 13 in a 2800m Vire Class F last week. Will not be available at 84/1 this time but is unlikely to be as competitive either
- LU DE MUTRECY – Has not been seen out since coming 2nd of 10 finishers in a 2625m Cherbourg Class G on 6 April and will need the run
- LEMMING – 3rd of 12 in a 2500m Questembert Class F 11 days ago. Hind shoes off this time but is biting off more than he can chew
- LORD DU BUHOT – Failed to confirm Abbeville victory when sanctioned in a 2750m Elbeuf Class F 11 days ago. On front line here and with application will not be far off the mark
- LAGON D’ORIENT – Has struggled to find his way recently, latterly sanctioned in a 2450m Caen Class E on 28 May. Hind shoes off for first time but others still preferred
- LEADER – Quality element that ran 3rd of 15 on re-entry in a 2825m Durtal Class F on 22 June. Is new to Lisieux but will have a part to play if he takes to the new profile
- LUKABEL – Gives a good account for the most part when focused but will need to improve on his last of 9 in a 2750m Ecommoy Class F on 22 June
- LIL BOSS ONLY – Imposed at Granville before faulting in a 2750m Ecommoy class F on 22 June and in this category can be confidently passed over
- LUCKY DELADOU – Solid in last 3, most recently 3rd of 13 in a 2400m Amiens Class F on 12 June. Franck Nivard gets the nod this time and has a realistic chance of getting his charge’s nose in front
- LUCKY ROSE – Disappointing in last 3, most recently sanctioned early in a 2700m Class E at La Capelle mid-June, and cannot be considered a priority
- L’ARGENTIER – Sanctioned in last 2, most recently a 2625m Cherbourg Class F on 15 June. Has the wherewithal to win this but must first stay in stride
- LUTIN DU PRATEL – In the frame in last 4 starts, latterly 2nd of 13 in a 2950m Saint-Malo Class E on 8 June, and is not incapable of imposing
- LOUP D’ARDENNES – Imposed at Amiens mid-May but failed to confirm when 8th of 9 finishers behind LUCKY ROSE (13) in a 2450m Caen Class E 11 days later. Drops in category and will be expected to put things right
- LIKE MESLOIS – Handy sort making first appearance since winning a 3250m Saumur Class F in late-March. Nicely-engaged but still not a concern
Summary: A fine servant when he deigns to keep his action together, a reconfigured L’ARGENTIER (14) makes his Lisieux bow on a hat-trick of sanctions but David Thomain has kept faith and will be determined to put things right. Principal opposition comes from the improving LUTIN DU PRATEL (15) who has been a model of consistency since early this spring, and LUCKY DELADOU (12) who is due to lose his maiden tag any day now. A lot better than his Caen performance would suggest, LOUP D’ARDENNES (16) enjoys a good entry and can challenge for a spot on the podium.

- LITTLESNABE – Ran 4th at Argentan before repeating in a 2800m Bernay Class F 2.5 weeks ago. On front line but still has more to find
- LILAS DES RIOULTS – Returns to racing shod after coming 3rd of 10 finishers in a 3150m Abbeville Class F on 11 May. Benefits from a front-row break and looks to have a decent hand to play
- LEONIE DE L’ECLAIR – Disappointing in 2 last month, most recently sanctioned in a 2800m Bernay Class F 2.5 weeks ago, and others easier to trust
- LADIVINA – Opened her 2025 account when tenaciously securing a 2700m Vire Class E on 19 May. Is 25m worse off this time but is not one to be ignored
- LAZURA PRIOR – Unable to confirm Meslay performance when sanctioned in a 3000m Nantes Class E on 29 May. Cannot be considered a priority but with application can play a small role
- LADY DU CHATELET – Easy winner of a 2450m Caen monte Class E 2.5 weeks ago but returns to the harness code with little to contribute
- LADY DE GREZ – Useful in both codes, most recently 4th of 9 in a 2450m Caen monte Class D 3 weeks ago. Pleased on only start at the venue and is not to be overlooked
- LIKE A DESTINY – 3rd of 9 finishers in a Class D over course and distance on 8 June. Is close to her race and will be expected to figure prominently once more
- LOUISIANA DU DERBY – Imposed at Argentan before running 4th of 10 finishers in a 2450m Caen Class D 10 days ago. Should appreciate the new conditions and is unlikely to disappoint
- LOREZZA ERA – Failed to confirm Caen score when 8th of 12 in a 2700m Vincennes Class D a month ago. Should not be condemned though and returning to racing clockwise may be just the ticket. Chance
- LA MOME DE CAHOT – Not as sharp as expected when 5th of 18 in a 2750m Craon Class B on 23 June but has been reconfigured, thrives racing right-handed, and looks the pick of the field
Summary: A talented filly but oddly below-par in Craon recently, LA MOME DE CAHOT (12) enjoys a fine engagement, has been freshly-reconfigured, and has a realistic chance of making her Lisieux debut a victorious one. Better than last month’s Vincennes run would imply, LOREZZA ERA (11) can boast solid clockwise references and looks the principal threat. Winner at Argentan in May, LOUISIANA DU DERBY (10) is reunited with Franck Nivard who won with her that day, and will justifiably generate interest. 3rd over course and distance last month, LIKE A DESTINY (9) is 25m worse off this time but still has the wherewithal to get in on the action.

- KINDER ATOUT – Sanctioned in 2 following a lengthy hiatus, most recently a 3000m Class F at Le Neuborg on 9 June, but will have a lot to offer if Jean Ferron keeps him focused
- KALOU DE TESS – A write-off since mid-April, most recently last of 12 in a 2950m Vichy harness Class F on 14 June, and is not about to set Lisieux alight
- LIBERTA DEL PHEDO – Has returned to the code in top shape, lastly dominating a 2800m Chartres Class F a fortnight back, and can repeat if she turns
- KELLE MAJYC – Gave a reassuringly good account when 4th of 18 in a 2450m Caen Class E 2.5 weeks ago but a repeat seems unlikely
- LUCIOLA DE LOU – Respectable 4th of 13 in a 2450m Caen Class E, on comeback, 2.5 weeks ago. Will have progressed for the race and is not incapable of picking up some prizemoney
- LAMBO DE LEAU – 3rd of 11, on first start in the discipline, in a 2450m Caen Class E on 19 June. Will have come on for the run and the engagement of Guillaume Martin will only enhance his prospects. Place chance
- LARGO D’ENFER – Returns to the code after coming 4th of 5 finishers in a 2850m Laval harness Class E 3 weeks ago. Is confirmed under the saddle and should be taken seriously
- LUDMILA DETE – In the frame in both monte starts this year, most recently 2nd of 13 in a 2800m Vire Class E on 19 May. Has freshness on her side, sports a fresh configuration, and is easy to like for a spot in first 5
- KOM KHALEESI – Has taken well to French conditions, latterly winning a 2550m Gournay harness Class F on 9 June. Boasts fine ridden credentials at home in Sweden and should not be underestimated
- LITYGE DE CYM – Lost his action in a 2450m Caen Class D 3 weeks ago. Somewhat disappointing lately but is first-time barefoot and worth a 2nd look
- LOUVE ANGEL – 8th of 10 in a 2700m Vincennes Class C on 20 May. Has not raced since, is shod for the occasion, and will have few friends
- LITTLE DAIDOU – Last of 10, on return to competition, in a 2100m Vincennes harness Class D on 13 May. Has been afforded time to get himself tuned up and with application will not be far off the mark
- KILLER VICTORY – No longer the horse he was at 3, latterly 7th of 9 in a 2800m Rambouillet Class E on 22 June, and can be ruled out
Summary: The big hitters can be found on the front row here, starting with LIBERTA DEL PHEDO (4) who won on her first outing for Mathieu Mottier. She has yet to impose racing clockwise but going barefoot again is easy to like for the double. She will nonetheless feel some heat from the tricky but talented KINDER ATOUT (2) who will have his chances if focused, and LAMBO DE LEAU (7) who gave a fine account on last month’s ridden debut. Barefoot for his first objective of of the summer, LITTLE DAIDOU (13) incurs the penalty but on good behaviour will be no easy touch.

- KRISTINA – Won at Erbray before running 5th of 9 finishers in a 2225m Agon Class F conditioner 11 days ago. Barefoot for Lisieux debut and while not a priority should still not be overlooked
- KIRIO – Last but one in a 2350m Angers Class E on 10 June and is not about to cause an upset

- KENTUCKY VALLEY – Last but one in a 2875m Argentan Class E last week and has no realistic chance
- KASSIOPEE DU NOYER – Sanctioned when preparing for this in a Class E over course and distance on 8 June. Shoes off this time and with her mind on the game can finish in the mix
- KINGSTON DE BLARY – Has done nothing but improve lately, latterly making short work of a 2850m Laval Class E 3 weeks ago, and will be competitive at the business end of the race
- KANAILLE ROYALE – Returns to Lisieux after coming 2nd of 11 in a 2100m Vincennes Class E on 7 June. Is nicely-entered, is close to her race, and should logically play a leading role
- KAID FORTUNA – Valiant 5th of 11 in a 2700m Vincennes Class D on 6 June. Shoes fitted here and will have other priorities
- KING AULNAIES – Made no bones about winning a 2625m Cherbourg Class E 2.5 weeks ago. François Lagadeuc in the bike this time but considering the engagement is very hard to ignore. Claim
Summary: Facile winner at Cherbourg mid-June, KING AULNAIES (18) benefits from an excellent entry here and has a realistic chance of repeating. He will still come under pressure though from KINGSTON DE BLARY (15) who stormed up at Laval last time, and the tricky KANAILLE ROYALE (16) who has been knocking at the door. Considerably more faithful when racing clockwise, KILLER POINT (11) is 25m better off, sports pads for the occasion, and is not to be underestimated.

C7 – PRIX DE SAINT-HYMER – 2725m (a1m1/2) – Class F Race – Harness – EUR € 26,000 - INNOCENT ARCTIC – Back under harness after running 2nd of 10 in a 2825m Bernay monte Class F 2.5 weeks ago and is not about to spice things up
- INOUR DU VIVIER – Showed improvement when 4th of 11 in a 2600m Class G at Le Touquet on 22 June. 4 pads fitted this time but is still taking on too much
- HARRY D’YVI – Unexceptional so far this year, most recently sanctioned in a 3125m Questembert amateurs Class H on 22 June, and has no possible chance
- ISTRA – In the frame in 2 before running 4th of 11 in a 2150m Vichy Class F on 19 June. Starts in front here and, entrusted to Franck Nivard for first time, is unlikely to disappoint
- ITHENA DE GAJUEL – Imposed at Alencon before running 8th of 10 finishers behind HIBISCUS DE LATOM (14) in a 2900m Amiens Class F on 7 June. Barefoot this time but others still easier to back
- HONEY DE TOUCHYVON – 7th of 15 in a 2800m Rambouillet Class E on 22 June and even from the front line will have limited chances
- HARLEM LOCA – 2nd of 15 in a 2950m Saint-Malo Class F early last month. Has a lot going for him here and from the front row can make a big splash
- HIBISCUS NORMAND – 3rd of 12 finishers in a 2825m Durtal Class F on 22 June. Is plainly in shape, and breaks on front line, but cannot be considered a contender
- ICONOCLASTE ERABLE – Has 3 conditioners in him, most recently 9th of 11 in a 3450m Agon Class E 11 days ago. Sports modified shoeing and from the front row will be no pushover
- HALIZAROSA – Returns to the professional ranks after coming 5th of 11 in a 2350m Angers amateurs Class G on 10 June. Has never delivered at Lisieux and is not about to start now
- INJECTABLE – Unexceptional so far this term, latterly last of 8 in a 2900m Dozule Class F in late-May, and can expect to have few friends
- GABIN DU MESNIL – Has not been seen out since finishing 10th of 12 in a 2800m Pontchateau Class E last January and can be passed over
- HUDSON BAIE – Imposed at Marseille-Vivaux late-May before running 3rd of 11 in a 2650m Class F at the same venue mid-June and is thoroughly capable of contesting the finish
- HIBISCUS DE LATOM – Has done nothing but improve this year, latterly 2nd of 10 finishers in a 2900m Amiens Class F on 7 June, and Alexis Collette can be confident of a big performance. Claim
- HELECHO – 7th of 12 finishers behind HIBISCUS NORMAND (8) in a 2825m Durtal Class F on 22 June. Races barefoot for first time here but looks no more than a minor place prospect
- IXELLE BLEUE – 6th of 16 on re-entry in a 2450m Caen Class D on 11 June. Won her only start at the venue, is competitively-shod this time, and considering the entry must be taken very seriously
- IMELDA – Good dual-discipline mare that ran 2nd under harness at Bernay before winning a 2875m monte Class E at Argentan on 12 May. Comes here fresh, enjoys a terrific entry, and even though shod will have her supporters
Summary: Plainly on the way back up, HIBISCUS DE LATOM (14) produced a fine effort at Amiens last month and even though having delivered at Lisieux just once, he is easy to like for the win. Consistently in the thick of things these days, and 25m better off, HARLEM LOCA (7) will be reined by Mathieu Mottier for the first time and can open his 2025 account. Back racing clockwise after 2 fine performances in Marseille, HUDSON BAIE (13) has already won for Guillaume Martin and must be considered a contender. ISTRA (4) has been lurking lately, is reconfigured for the occasion, and from the front line makes her Lisieux debut with a good hand to play.

C8 – PRIX DE PONT-L’EVEQUE ET DE LA CONFRERIE – 2675m (a1m1/2) – Class F Race – Harness – EUR € 26,000 - HELLO DU GERS – In the frame in last 3, latterly 3rd of 14 in a 3125m Ranes Class H on 22 June. Is new to the venue but still looks good enough to turn the tables on IF BLEU (2)
- IF BLEU – Sprang something of a surprise when successful in a 2950m Saint-Malo Class F early last month. Starts in front and will not be available at 13/1 this time around
- HYSIS VENESI – 7th at Graignes before being sanctioned in a 2525m Class E at Les Andelys 2.5 weeks ago. Is no slouch on a good day but will first need to reaffirm
- HIGUAIN DE LOU – Starts for first time since being sanctioned in a 2725m Graignes Class E in May 2024. Shoes on and no threat
- IALTA DE VANDEL – 2nd of 16 in a 2450m Caen Class D on 11 June. Won here in May and from the 5-spot is well-placed to make a big impact
- HESPERANCE ELTE – 6th of 13 in a 3150m Abbeville Class F on 15 June. Is nicely-drawn but has no love for Lisieux and can be passed over
- INCA – Made up for Le Mont-Saint-Michel clinker when 4th of 11 in a 2625m Cherbourg Class E mid-June. Starts wide but races barefoot for the occasion and must be afforded respect
- INDIAN FIGHTER – Won a 2825m Durtal Class F on 22 June. Sports a fresh configuration but from the 8-spot is unlikely to spring any surprises
- IGGY DES RIOULTS – Quickly sanctioned in a 2450m Caen Class F 10 days ago. Has looked ordinary of late and even though reconfigured is unlikely to create an upset
- ISERE – Deserved winner of a 2750m Ecommoy Class E on 22 June. Is clearly back at the top of her game and despite the draw should nevertheless finish in the mix
- HIJO MOKO – Disappointing for past 3 months, most recently 8th of 11 in a 2450m Caen monte Class F a fortnight back, and can be ruled out
- ISSY DE TILLARD – Out of the picture in last 3, latterly sanctioned in a 2450m Caen Class F 10 days ago, and can be confidently disregarded
- IASELMA – Ran 2nd at Amiens before coming 6th of 11 in a 2150m Vichy Class F 2 weeks ago. Always gives her best though and in spite of a poor draw could yet get a look in
- IVA ROYALE – Unlucky 6th of 12 in a 2725m Class F here on 8 June. Has pulled a rough number but is plainly in shape and will be expected to make amends. First 5
- INVASION D’OEILLET – 11th of 15 in a 2850m Laval Class D a fortnight ago. Entrusted to Franck Nivard this time and despite the draw should nevertheless give a competitive account
- ICARE DU POMMEREUX – Sanctioned in last 3, latterly a 3125m Granville Class H last Sunday, and has nothing to contribute
Summary: He may be forced to start on the inside here but HELLO DU GERS (1) has been knocking at the door recently and with Yoann Lebourgeois reining could well exact revenge on IF BLEU (2) who beat him at saint-Malo in early-June. Winner here in May, IALTA DE VANDEL (5) is enjoying a new lease on life and the draw will only work to her advantage. ISERE (10) has kept on improving this season and while unlikely to confirm her Ecommoy win from the back row, should nevertheless acquit herself competitively.

- HAROLD BERGIL – Unreliable and was 4th in claimer at Enghien over 2875m on 26 June. Might play a minor role at best
Summary: HAND FULL (16) showed his form and well-being when 2nd at Les Sables last month and a repeat of that performance should suffice in the opener. He will, however, have to thwart the likely challenge of HEROS DHELPA (12), who didn’t go unnoticed last time, and familiar foe IBLIS GEMA (13) who was not disgraced when 6th in the same Les Sables event behind the selection. GOOD JULINO (17), unshod on all four, and IDEAL DE BAULON (10) could challenge for a spot on the podium.

Summary: JAZZMAN IDEF (6) won for the third time this year at Montlucon last month and, on the evidence of that performance, seems capable of adding to his tally. Enigmatic JUDICIEUX (5) has undeniable means and could make life difficult for the selection if avoiding disqualification. Summary: Runner-up at Laon on his reappearance last month, KA DEUX TONIQUE (10) would’ve benefitted from that outing and, with any improvement, will fight for victory. KEJAIME DE HOUELLE (13) should not be hastily condemned for her disappointing last start. She retains sufficient means to play a leading role. - LOVE DU PASSAGE – 6th in class E at Toulouse over 2750m on 18 June. Victorious in September but unreliable since. Others preferred
Summary: LOTUS MADRIK (9) is hard to oppose judged on the strength and consistency of his impressive recent form/performances. He gets the nod ahead of LORD DE BRION (8), who is undeniably capable but remains delicate, and LOULOU D’ETANG (6), whose comeback at Laval was encouraging. LASER SEDUISANT (7), barefoot for the first time, in-form LOOKIERO (5) and LOYAL DOL (10) appeal most of the remainder.

- LOKIE KADESH – 7th in class F at Cherbourg over 2625m on 15 June. Victorious in July and can upset if in the mood. Place chance
Summary: Enigmatic LADY’S SECRET (13) is talented but delicate in equal measure. She was disqualified in her latest appearance at Ecommoy but, judged on her best references, needs only to prove herself diligent to make amends against this opposition. Recent Laval runner-up LUEUR D’HAUFOR (6) will likely fight for victory and expose any chinks in the selection’s armour. LOKIE KADESH (15), an interesting entry under these conditions, and LASKA DU LIVIER (11), unshod for this occasion, are others with genuine Top 3 credentials. L’UNIQUE DE GINAI (9), a winner on her reappearance, and LILY BECO (14) also deserve a mention.

KENYA D’AVE (7) has shown mixed form this year but is clearly capable of winning a race like this if wise. KARMA KILY (11) has been only modest in 2024 but is not out of it.
