R1 ENGHIEN [L-H]
C1 – PRIX DU PARC MONTSOURIS – 2875m (a2m) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 35,000
- LADY DE BEYLEV – Got back in the winners’ circle when securing a 2825m Class F at Le Croise-Laroche on 16 June but in this company will have too much to do
- LADY DUCALE – 7th of 11 behind LUTTE DE COSSE (8) in a Class E over course and distance 9 days ago. Disappointing in all 4 starts this year and has no realistic chance
- LAURENCE MADRIK – Failed to confirm Les Sables-d’Olonne victory when 2nd of 9 in a 2850m Laval Class E on 12 June. Unlikely to get her nose in front but still has every chance of finishing in the mix
- LIPA STAR – Comfortable winner of a 2625m Cherbourg Class F mid-June. Sports same configuration but takes on a better bunch and looks more a minor place chance this time
- LAURENE DE BAILLY – A write-off all year, latterly sanctioned in a 2800m Vichy Class D on Tuesday and backs up with nothing to contribute
- L’ETOILE DE ROCHE – 2nd of 8 finishers on re-entry in a 2800m Chartres Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Faces a stiffer test this time however and others easier to back
- LYRA DU METZ – 3rd of 11 finishers, a place behind LADY STARLIGHT (9), in a 2150m Class E here on 14 June, and will not be available at 67/1 on this occasion
- LUTTE DE COSSE – Made up for Laval blip when 2nd of 11 in a Class E over course and distance 9 days ago. Hind shoes off this time and in current form will be expected to contest the finish once more
- LADY STARLIGHT – 2nd of 11 finishers in a 2150m Class E here on 14 June, on first start since the break. Excels when barefoot and should logically take all the beating
- LUCIA DE BUSSET – Fine filly with an enviable strike-rate, latterly 2nd of 7 in a 2750m Class D at La Capelle on 20 June. Reunited with David Thomain who won with her at Amiens and is easy to like for a place in the frame
- LADRA DI MALAVITA – 9th of 10 finishers in a 2450m Caen Class D on 23 June. Has been out of sorts all season and can be passed over
- LADY DALM – Drops in category after running 6th of 7 finishers in a 2100m Vincennes Class D 2.5 weeks ago. Shod to preference this time and makes her Enghien debut with a decent hand to play
Summary: Impressive on her return to competition here mid-June, LADY STARLIGHT (9) will have progressed for the race and should be able to wrap this up. She will still face resistance from LUTTE DE COSSE (8) who has finished runner-up in 3 of her last 4 outings, and LUCIA DE BUSSET (10) who came close to setting the record straight at La Capelle a fortnight ago. Surprise 3rd behind Franck Nivard’s filly here last time, LYRA DU METZ (7) must be taken more seriously.

C2 – PRIX D’ARMENTIERES – 2875m (a2m) – Class C Race – Mounted – EUR € 46,000 - LUCIA PERRINE – Quickly sanctioned in 2850m Gr.1 Prix du Président at Vincennes on 22 June. Back at a more reasonable level and can get a look in if she deigns to keep her stride in check
- LEMPICKA SEPT – Has not been seen out since being sanctioned in a 2175m Vincennes Class B late-December and is going to need the race
- LUTECIA ELLIS – Made up for Caen blip when 3rd of 10 finishers, a place behind LOLO DU VELO (7), in a 2700m Vincennes Class C on 20 May. Has ground to make up can still challenge for the win
- LAFOLLY DELO – 7th of 12 finishers when preparing for this in a 2700m Vincennes harness Class C a fortnight back but still looks out of her depth
- LE JIBAY – Back under the saddle after finishing 11th of 14 in a 2700m Vincennes harness Class B 2 months ago. Barefoot for the occasion but still not a concern
- LUCIFER D’ORPHEE – Last all chance at the start, coming 7th of 10 finishers behind LAFOLLY DELO (4) in a 2175m Vincennes Class D on 27 May, but can make amends if Guillaume Martin gets him off on the right foot
- LOLO DU VELO – Good class of trotter that ran 2nd of 10 finishers in a 2700m Vincennes Class C on 20 May. Has freshness on his side, and looks thoroughly capable of lifting this
- LAKANA DE FELLIERE – Drops back in class after running 5th of 13 finishers in 2850m Gr.1 Prix du Président at Vincennes on 22 June. Is new to the venue but with form maintained will be no easy touch
- LOVELY CHENEVIERE – Kicked the year off well but disappointing since, latterly last but one behind LAKANA DE FELLIERE (8) in 2850m Gr.1 Prix du Président at Vincennes on 22 June, and can expect to have few takers
- LORD CATH – Serious type that finished last of 12, on re-entry, in a 2750m Craon harness Class B on 23 June. Will have progressed for the race and with front pads fitted is unlikely to disappoint
- LUIGI D’ISIGNY – Placed twice before being sanctioned when full of running in a 2175m Vincennes Class D in late-May, but can figure prominently if Eric Raffin keeps him focused
Summary: Barring a brace of sanctions, LOLO DU VELO (7) has been exceptional under the saddle. Unbeaten in both Enghien starts, he races first-time barefoot and looks set to take all the beating. Leading the opposition, LUTECIA ELLIS (3) finished a place behind her across town last time out and will be no pushover, and neither should the talented but tricky LUIGI D’ISIGNY (11) provided he deigns to stay in stride. LAKANA DE FELLIERE (8) held her own in the Gr.1 Prix du Président a fortnight ago and makes her Enghien debut with a good hand to play.

C3 – PRIX DE L’ECOLE MILITAIRE – 2150m (a1m1/4) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 40,000 - LUCIANO VREDEBEST – Has hardly put a foot wrong all year, lastly just missing out in a 2700m Vincennes Class D on 30 May. Should have no issues with the new profile and will be expected to contest the finish
- LOMBARDO DE LOU – 3rd of 10 in a 2850m Vincennes Class D a month ago. Won his only start under these conditions, is plainly close to his race, and can impose
- LIFOU IRIS’EYES – Made it 2 in a row when comfortable winner of a 2700m Class D at Le Croise-Laroche on 21 May. Trainer could not have wished for a better entry and Pierre-Yves Verva will be keen to oblige
- LATINO AU CROSNIER – Has been reconfigured since finishing 6th of 9 in a 2700m Vincennes Class D on 13 June and is not about to paint the town red
- LICAR SOMOLLI – Makes first appearance since securing a Class E over course and distance in late-May. Is never far from faulting but has hind shoes off this time, and with David Thomain in the bike is unlikely to disappoint
- LOVI CADENCE – 5th of 11 in a 2700m Vincennes monte Class D a fortnight ago and can be confidently left alone
- LUDIVER DES VAUX – Picked up on 13 June where he left off last January, faulting in a 2700m Vincennes Class D, and others easier to trust
- LAZAN DE PASSIEU – Made up for Vincennes clinker when 4th of 15 in a 3000m Nantes Class D on 2 June. Has been handed a wide draw though and is unlikely to create an upset
- LE MIRACLE – Makes first foray into the capital after winning 2 straight in the provinces, latterly a 2725m Lisieux Class D with ease early last month. Handed a tough draw but in current condition is easy to like
- LOTUS DE BEYLEV – Showed improvement when 4th of 11, a place behind LOOK D’HERMES (12), in a 2100m Vincennes Class D on 24 June.
- LUCKY JOSSELYN – Out of the picture in both starts since the break, latterly last of 10 in a 2450m Caen Class D 12 days ago, and can be passed over
- LOOK D’HERMES – Set his personal best time when 3rd of 11 in a 2100m Vincennes Class D 11 days ago. Forced to start on back row but will still generate interest
- LEXINGTON DU BOURG – Last but one on re-entry in a 2575m Agen Class D a fortnight back. Has never disappointed when barefoot and even though in superior company, must nevertheless be respected
- LOOK DE VALAILLES – Last of 11 behind LOOK D’HERMES (12) in a 2100m Vincennes Class D 11 days ago and has no possible chance
Summary: LUCIANO VREDEBEST (1) has taken his game to another level since starting to race barefoot and a repeat of his latest effort would see him open his metropolitan account. Yoann Lebourgeois will still want to be wary of the complicated but capable LOMBARDO DE LOU (2) who has been reconfigured for the occasion. LIFOU IRIS’EYES (3) makes his Paris debut on a hat-trick and Pierre-Yves Verva can be confident of a big run. Sporting a fresh formula after having imposed under these conditions last time out, LICAR SOMOLLI (5) must be considered a player.

C4 – PRIX DE LA MANCHE – 2875m (a2m) – Gr3 Race – Harness – EUR € 90,000 - KOOL DES CHAMPS – Missed out by the smallest of margins in a 2625m Agen Class B on 31 May. Races shod this time though and will have other ambitions
- DANGER BI – 7th of 11 to HORCHESTRO (13) in a 2850m Vincennes Class A on 22 June. Has shown more racing clockwise recently but is no slouch and should not be too far from the action
- KYRIELLE – Pleasantly surprising 3rd of 13 in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Jean le Gonidec at Vincennes on 7 June. Is plainly capable but in this company will have her work cut out
- KING OPERA – 4th of 13, a place behind KYRIELLE (3), in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Jean le Gonidec at Vincennes on 7 June. Shoes fitted again but a repeat seems unlikely
- HORATIUS D’ELA – Made up for Le Croise-Laroche blip when 3rd of 16 in a 2950m Toulouse Gr.3 2.5 weeks ago. Is clearly close to opening his summer account and must be regarded a leading contender
- JAKARTAS DES PRES – Last but one behind HARLEY GEMA (12) in a 2150m Class A here 3 weeks ago. Is competitively-shod this time but still has too much to find
- COQUAHOLY – Starts for first time since running 6th of 16 in a 2850m Laval Class A last March. Front shoes off but is still going to need the outing
- IZNOGOUD AM – 7th of 15 behind HARLEY GEMA (12) in a 2150m Class A here 3 weeks ago. Raced better that day than the result would suggest and with a front-line break can make a big splash. Claim
- HERADAMES – 6th of 13 in a 2850m Vincennes Class B on 30 May. Has never delivered under harness at this level and is not about to start now
- JANGO VICI – Did not enjoy the best of trips when 9th of 14 behind HORATIUS D’ELA (5) in a 2950m Toulouse Gr.3 2.5 weeks ago. Is plainly in fine shape though and the fine entry will only work in his favour
- HAVE SEVEN – Last of 13, on return from a spell, behind HERADAMES (9) in a 2850m Vincennes Class B on 30 May. Shoes on again and can be ruled out
- HARLEY GEMA – 4th in a Laval Gr.3 before coming 4th of 15 in a 2150m Class A here 3 weeks ago. Is not a priority but runs barefoot and is worth keeping an eye on
- HORCHESTRO – Made it 2 in a row when dominating a 2850m Vincennes Class A on 22 June. Has placed at Gr.1 level and has every chance of pulling off the hat-trick
- IBIKI DE HOUELLE – Surprisingly lacklustre last of 7 in 2100m Gr.1 Prix Rene Ballière at Vincennes a fortnight back. Has otherwise been in excellent shape this year and at this level should prove considerably more competitive
- KRACK TIME ATOUT – 7th of 13, on first start since November, in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Jean le Gonidec at Vincennes on 7 June. Will have come on for the run but is still in conditioning-mode
- FAKIR DE MAHEY – 3rd in a Gr.3 before running 4th of 9 in 2850m Gr.1 Prix Chambon P at Vincennes on 7 June. Unlikely to impose but is always game and even from the second row can put on a good show
Summary: IZNOGOUD AM (8) put in a very good effort over shorter here last month and considering what he has shown at home in Sweden, must be considered a serious proposition. 25m worse off but nevertheless at the top of his game, HORCHESTRO (13) is unbeaten in 2 starts with Eric Raffin and has a realistic claim on the silverware. Reassuring in Toulouse, HORATIUS D’ELA (5) has previously won under these conditions and the front row start will do his prospects no disservice. JANGO VICI (10) failed to fire that day after having imposed at Le Croise-Laroche but trainer Antonio Ripoll Rigo will be expecting redemption. IBIKI DE HOUELLE (14) drops back down the class-ladder and receives an Alexandre Abrivard drive for the first time.

C5 – PRIX D’ESTRY – 2250m (a1m1/2) – Class C Race – Mounted – EUR € 53,000 - KING DU RIL – Lost his action when going well in a 2700m Vincennes Class D 11 days ago. Is behind in earnings and with application should logically finish in the mix
- KILL AND KISS – Has done nothing but improve recently, latterly 3rd of 9 in a 2700m Vincennes Class D on 24 June. In better company this time but should nonetheless hold his own
- KARA D’OR – Switches discipline after finishing last but one in a 2875m Enghien harness Class D a week ago and is unlikely to influence the result
- KEEPER PERRINE – Lost his action when preparing for this in a 3125m Angers harness Class D on 10 June. Is unbeaten in 2 starts under these conditions though and has every chance of extending that run
- KOPECK DE CHENU – Fine servant that finished last but one on re-entry in a 2100m Vincennes harness Class C 8 days ago. Takes on a good bunch this time and even with Eric Raffin in the bike appears to have too much to find
- KANTHABELLA – Back under the saddle after being sanctioned in a 2825m harness Class E at Le Croise-Laroche mid-June and can be confidently ruled out
- KELLY D’ESSARTS – Serious sort that was not disgraced when 6th of 10 finishers in a 2850m Vincennes Gr.1 a fortnight back. Is not about to win this but has the wherewithal to get in on the action
- KALIMERO JASMA – 2nd of 13 in a 2175m Vincennes Class D on 27 May. Has not put a foot out of line over recent months, sports a new configuration, and is not about to let the side down. First 5
- KOQUIN DU PERCHE – Won smartly at Vincennes in April but 6th of 9 next time in a 2700m Class C at the same venue mid-May. Has had time to get his house in order however and Alexandre Abrivard will be eager to put things right. Chance
- KINGDOM KAT – Sanctioned, on first start since last November, in a 2150m harness Class C here on 24 May. No longer the horse he was at 3 and is unlikely to shake things up
- KILOU D’YMER – Last but one, on return to competition, in a 2100m Vincennes harness Class C 8 days ago. Entrusted to Eric Raffin this time and can play an active role
- KOBALT DU VALLON – Unraced since coming 2nd of 12 in a 2850m Laval Class C on 24 April. Is barefoot for the occasion and will be competitive for another podium place
- KATLINE MOUROTAISE – Fine campaigner in the ridden discipline but has not raced since coming 2nd of 12 in a 2850m Vincennes Class C last January. 4 pads fitted and best to hold off
- KASBAH PERRINE – Well-beaten last of 8 in a 2700m Vincennes Gr.2 on 30 May. Takes a notable dip in class but still looks to have too much to do
Summary: Winner of 2 in a row, including over course and distance, KEEPER PERRINE (4) returns to the code after prepping under harness at Angers and, shod to preference, can wrap this up. That said, Paul Ploquin will be mindful of KOQUIN DU PERCHE (9) whose recent Vincennes run can be ignored, and KILOU D’YMER (11) who is barefoot for his return to the discipline. KOBALT DU VALLON (12) has not raced since late-April but thrives with Alexis Collette and will be expected to get straight back in the game.

C6 – PRIX DE ROME – 2150m (a1m1/4) – Gr3 Race – Harness – EUR € 80,000 - MAGNUM DU CHOQUEL – Returns to a more reasonable level after finishing last but one behind MYSTIC SONATO (6) in 2700m Gr.1 Prix Albert Viel at Vincennes a fortnight ago, but is still being aimed too high
- MOSAIC LIFE – Useful filly that finished 3rd of 9 finishers, a place behind GIULIA PLAY (16), in 2700m Gr.3 Prix d’Istres a month ago. Takes on the colts this time but starts in front and should not be ruled out
- GUGLIELMO JET – 3rd of 12 in a 2100m San Siro Gr.1 a month back. Is plainly superior to most here and from the 3-spot will have every chance of keeping his unbeaten French record intact
- MISTRAL DU GOUTIER – 2nd of 12 in a 2700m Vincennes Gr.3 on 6 June. Has been knocking at the door all year and is ideally-placed to open his 2025 account
- MARZIPAN – Honest type that ran 4th of 12 behind MISTRAL DU GOUTIER (4) in a 2700m Vincennes Gr.3 on 6 June. Well-positioned on front row and will not be sent out at 28/1 this time around
- MYSTIC SONATO – Takes a dip in category after running 6th of 12 in 2700m Gr.1 Prix Albert Viel across town a fortnight ago. Will be fully fit by now and, already twice a winner for Franck Nivard, must be retained
- MISSANDEI – Unplaced in both since the break, latterly last of 12 behind MYSTIC SONATO (6) in 2700m Gr.1 Prix Albert Viel at Vincennes a fortnight ago, and must first reaffirm
- MARDOUK DE GODREL – 6th of 8 finishers, a place behind MYSTIC SONATO (6), in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Kalmia on 27 May. Drops back in class but still not an obvious choice
- MAGIC MAR – Makes French debut after winning 2150m Gr.2 Gran Premio Nacional at Son Pardo on 18 May. Takes on a better lot this time and chances slim
- MUSCLE DREAM – Got off the mark in a 2875m Class B here 3 weeks ago. Has considerable progress in him and is unlikely to be far from the action if Mathieu Mottier successfully navigates the start
- MARGAUX DES ARRIS – Modest 6th of 9 finishers behind GIULIA PLAY (16) in 2700m Gr.3 Prix d’Istres at Vincennes a month back. On 2nd row and appears to have nothing to offer
- MUST ATOUT – Won 2 in a row, including over course and distance, before being sanctioned in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Kalmia on 27 May. Comes here fresh and, winner of his only Enghien start, must not be overlooked
- MAESTRO VRIE – Comfortable winner of a 2950m Vichy Class B on 19 June, on first start for over 2 months. Not ideally-drawn though and a minor place chance at best
- GOGGIA – Sanctioned in 2700m Gr.3 Prix d’Istres a month ago. Matthieu Abrivard in the bike this time but others still preferred
- FRAGOLINO ROSSO – Flew up over 1640m in Stockholm on 10 June. Shoes back on here but is still very hard to ignore. Chance
- GIULIA PLAY – Sprang a 109/1 surprise when 2nd of 9 finishers in 2700m Gr.3 Prix d’Istres a month ago. Trainer in the bike this time and the draw only compounds matters
Summary: Only ever a step away from faulting, but nonetheless highly talented, GUGLIELMO JET (3) won the Gr.3 Prix Penthesilea at Vincennes last March, on his only start north of the Alps, sports shoes as he did then, and from the 3-spot can repeat. Starting next to him, and plainly close to his race, MISTRAL DU GOUTIER (4) was beaten only by a very good horse in the Gr.3 Prix de Gien a month back and similarly enjoys a terrific draw. In stark contrast, the Swedish FRAGOLINO ROSSO (15) has pulled a bad number but was superb in Solvalla last month and even though shod still looks a major player. Also on the back line but patently in rude health, MUSCLE DREAM (10) is worth taking seriously.

C7 – PRIX DU MOULIN ROUGE – 2150m (a1m1/4) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 56,000 - I LOVE D’AMOUR – 4th of 7 finishers, on first start since last August, in a 2450m Castillonnès Class F a fortnight back. Will have come on for the run but still needs to find more
- IDOLE ELDE – Flew up at Saint-Malo on re-entry before coming 4th of 11 in a 2650m Segre Class E last weekend. Has form at the venue and can bring the fight to INDIC (4)
- INSIDE – Winner of his last 2, latterly dominating a 2750m Class E at La Capelle mid-June. Fitted with shoes this time but still looks competitively well in
- INDIC – Tenacious 2nd of 12 in a 2800m Vichy Class E on 26 May. Has been knocking at the door all year and given his liking for the Enghien profile, can finally get his nose in front
- INFIEL – Got back in the game on 5 June when victorious in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class F. Goes barefoot again and will be competitive for a place in the frame
- IVON DE LA MONERIE – Sanctioned in both since returning from a lengthy absence, most recently a 2750m Class E at La Capelle on 20 June, and can be ruled out
- IZIO DU POMMEREUX – Reassuring winner of a claimer over course and distance a week ago. Steps back up in category but can still pick up some prizemoney
- ISSIA DE CHARLY – Pleasant 4th of 10 in a 2600m Nancy Class F 8 days ago but may just be biting off too much this time
Summary: A number horses in contention despite the small field, but it is very hard to ignore the ultra-consistent INDIC (4) who has come consistently close this year and who has never disappointed at Enghien. Taking him on, IDOLE ELDE (2) trounced the opposition in her last 2 starts on a hard surface and should be in a position to apply the pressure. INFIEL (5) gave a reassuringly good account at Mauquenchy and with application should again figure prominently. INSIDE (3) races shod and is unlikely to pull off the hat-trick but still has the wherewithal to finish in the mix.

C8 – PRIX DU LOUVRE – 2875m (a2m) – Gr3 Race – Harness – EUR € 80,000 - EVERY TIME WINNER – Trounced in 2 since returning to France, most recently 11th of 14 in a 2700m Vincennes Class C on 30 May, and has nothing to offer
- KONFINEE – Useful mare making first appearance since running 7th of 11 finishers in a 2700m Vincennes Gr.2 on 12 April. Matthieu Abrivard in the bike this time but still not a priority
- LA STAR ROC – Returns to racing with 4 pads fitted after finishing last but one in a 2700m Vincennes Gr.2 a month ago and will not be troubling the judge
- LAPIS LAZULI – Sanctioned on re-entry in a 2750m Craon Class B on 23 June. Shoes on again and poses no danger
- KAPTAIN DU LIAMONE – Has been on a fine run of form this year, latterly 4th of 8 finishers in a 2625m Agen Class B in late-May. Fitted with pads this time and others preferred
- KAPORAL DES FORGES – Pleased in 2 here before faulting in 2850m Gr.2 Prix Jean-Yves Lecuyer at Vincennes on 22 June. Unlikely to create an upset but should not be written off either
- KARAMBAR – Solid in 3 of last 4, latterly 4th of 12 finishers in 2850m Gr.2 Prix Jean-Yves Lecuyer at Vincennes on 22 June. Put on a decent show that day and looks good enough to contest the finish this time
- KELLE BEAUTE – Pleasantly surprising 5th of 12 finishers, a place behind KARAMBAR (7), in 2850m Gr.2 Prix Jean-Yves Lecuyer at Vincennes on 22 June, and will not be sent out at 104/1 this time
- EDGAR SABA – Came 4th over shorter here before running 10th of 12 finishers in 2850m Gr.2 Prix Jean-Yves Lecuyer at Vincennes on 22 June. Has never disappointed at Enghien though and Francois Lagadeuc will be eyeing a place on the podium
- KOBAYASHI – Sanctioned in last 2, most recently 22 June race of reference. Was not the most fortunate that day but has nothing to prove at this level and with stride in check can get in on the action
- JAZZMAN (GER) – Was clearly in good shape when sanctioned in 22 June race of reference. Already a Gr.3 winner this term and although unlikely to repeat, he sports pads this time and can make first 5
- LOVISSIME – 6th of 17 in a 2850m Vincennes monte Gr.1 on 22 June. Here for a change of scenery and can be passed over
- KEEN WINNER – 6th of 12 finishers behind KARAMBAR (7), despite some poor luck, in 2850m Gr.2 Prix Jean-Yves Lecuyer at Vincennes on 22 June. Is patently in excellent condition though and and can impose if she stays clear of trouble
- KAMEHAMEHA – 6th of 10 finishers behind KEEN WINNER (13) in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Jean le Gonidec across town a month ago. Will have come on for the run and the engagement of Eric Raffin speaks volumes
Summary: Runner-up in the Gr.2 Prix Jean le Gonidec a month ago before being denied a run in the G.3 Prix Jean-Yves Lecuyer a fortnight ago, KEEN WINNER (13) has already won under these conditions and can do so again if Yoann Lebourgeois keeps her out of harm’s way. KAMEHAMEHA (14) makes just his 2nd start back but is reunited with Eric Raffin and looks the main threat. KARAMBAR (7) left a good impression here 2 weeks ago and should again figure prominently, as should the Enghien-loving EDGAR SABA (9) who will be expected to bounce back.

- GUESS FOUTEAU – Takes a dip in category after coming 7th of 14, a place behind GIPSY BOND (6), in a 2850m Vincennes Class D on 30 May. Franck Nivard stays faithful and from the 2-spot is not about to disappoint
- GALINETTE BLEUE – 4th of 10 finishers in a 2400m Chateaubriant Class D on 8 June. Gabi Gelormini in the bike this time but still needs to find more
- GAMINE DE RIBEAU – Sanctioned in a 2800m Rambouillet Class E a fortnight back. A write-off so far this year and has no possible chance
- HEYDAY – Quality element that ran 11th of 16 in a 2800m Class E conditioner at Castéra-Verduzan last weekend and even though new to the venue still looks the one to beat
- GIPSY BOND – Back under harness after coming last but one in a 2700m Vincennes monte Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Starts in front and can play a role if he repeats his penultimate performance

- HAROLD SAUTONNE – Unable to confirm Les Sables-d’Olonne victory when 6th of 14 in a 2650m Segre Class E last Sunday. Tends to go well in the day’s configuration and even from the 2nd row looks a leading contender
- HEAVEN D’ECAJEUL – Returns to the professional ranks after dominating a 2100m Vincennes amateurs Class F 11 days ago. On 2nd row but is plainly enjoying a rich vein of form and must be respected
- HILDA DU THYRAL – 2nd of 10 in a 2875m amateurs Class F here late last month. Forced to start on 2nd line though and is unlikely to cause an upset
- HUGO DU BOURG – 9th of 13 in a 2100m Vincennes Class E on 20 June. Has been disappointing all year and can be passed over
- GISARO – Back at a more reasonable level after being sanctioned in a 2100m Vincennes Class C a fortnight back. Not ideally drawn but goes barefoot, will be reined by Eric Raffin this time, and must not be ruled out
- HANDZARO DU BOCAGE – Facile Amiens winner before being sanctioned in a 2800m Moulins Class F last weekend. Just front pads fitted this time and will have little to offer
- GREFFIERS FLINOIS – In the frame in 3 of last 4, most recently 2nd of 11 in a 1800m Class E at La Capelle mid-June, but with pads on is not about to set Enghien alight
Summary: A fine campaigner when barefoot and focused, HEYDAY (5) has a pair of runs under his belt, has been handed a good draw, and despite being preferred racing clockwise, he still looks good enough to win this. Reassuring at Agon, HEUREUX DE FLEUR (8) is forced to break wide but has never disappointed at Enghien and with application will be competitive for the win. Winner at Les Sables-d’Olonne before failing to confirm on turf, HAROLD SAUTONNE (10) returns to a hard surface and, reconfigured for the occasion, is unlikely to let the side down. GUESS FOUTEAU (2) raced better at Vincennes than the result would imply and Franck Nivard will be keen to put things right.
