R1 ENGHIEN [L-H]

C1 – PRIX DE LA PORTE DE SEVRES – 2875m (a2m) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 59,000

  1. GO FAST DE VAINS – Failed to confirm Avranches performance when sanctioned in a claimer over course and distance on 26 June and races here on a prayer
  2. GRAND PAJELO – Sanctioned in a Class D under these conditions 2 weeks ago and even with Matthieu Abrivard reining can be confidently ruled out
  3. GERONIMO MATICA – Quality element that returned to winning ways mid-June when securing a 2450m Caen Class E. Is new to the venue but, in similar shape, could pleasantly surprise
  4. FAKIR DE LA CRIERE – Somewhat surprising 4th of 11 in a 2800m Chartres Class E on 18 June. Unlikely to repeat but can nevertheless hold his own
  5. FAXIMA – Easy winner of a 2600m Class E at Le Mont-Saint-Michel on 30 June and with Franck Nivard in the bike once more, must be considered a leading contender
  6. GENERAL DE CONNEE – Sprang quite the surprise when 3rd of 12 in a 2900m Amiens Class E a month back and confirmation is most improbable
  7. FELINE DE JANVILLE – 3rd of 13 in a 2675m monte Class F at Le Mont-Saint-Michel late last month. Has always held her own at Enghien and, while not a priority, is still worth keeping an eye on
  8. GOLOSSO DE BRY – Smartly won a 2600m Nancy Class F on 27 June. Should take well to the new profile and has a realistic chance of confirming
  9. GROUPIE DU QUENNE – Made up for Chateaubriant sanction when 5th of 16 in a 2150m Class E here a week ago. Is not the most reliable of horses and others preferred
  10. GARDEN OF MEMORY – 3rd of 15 in a 3025m Montier-en-Der Class E last Sunday. Goes well for his driver, has placed here, and is unlikely to be far from the action
  11. GAMINE DE RIBEAU – 11th of 16 behind GROUPIE DU QUENNE (9) in a 2150m Class E here a week ago. Is no slouch on a good day though and, in this company, looks competitive for a cheque
  12. FIRST LADY BLEUE – Last but one behind FILLMORE (15) in a 3450m Agon Class E 3 weeks ago. Has been off the boil for some time and will have few friends
  13. FUNKY BERRY – Got back in the game early this month in Vichy when 5th of 13 in a 2800m Class D. Entrusted to Benjamin Rochard this time and with form maintained, will be no easy touch
  14. FALCO DU HAMEL – Gave a fine account at Arras before coming 4th of 15, a place behind GARDEN OF MEMORY (10), in a 3025m Montier-en-Der Class E last Sunday. Enjoys a good entry and is unlikely to disappoint
  15. FILLMORE – Left a good impression when 5th of 14 in a 3450m Agon Class E 3 weeks ago. Has no Enghien references but considering the entry, should be worth a punt
  16. FRANCO FLEURI – 9th of 16 in a 3575m Niort Class E on 22 June. Benefits from a superb entry but in current condition is not about to spice things up
Summary: Seen more often than not racing right-handed, GOLOSSO DE BRY (8) can still boast excellent references going the other direction, and the nature of his recent victory bodes well for his prospects. Clearly back at the top of her game, FAXIMA (5) looks a serious threat, as does FUNKY BERRY (13) who raced better at Vichy recently than the result would suggest. In the frame in 2 of his last 3 starts, GARDEN OF MEMORY (10) is reunited with Eric Raffin who has already won twice with him.

    C2 – PRIX D’ESCUROLLES – 2150m (a1m1/4) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 35,000
  17. MARIBEL MAGNIFIQUE – Showed promise during the spring but disappointing since, latterly sanctioned in a 2200m Vincennes Class D a month ago, and can be passed over
  18. MAYA D’AVRIL – Unseen since coming 4th of 14 in a 2450m Caen Class E on 31 March. Breaks from the 2-spot and if sufficiently tuned-up will not be far off the mark
  19. MULANE DU BOCAGE – Lost her maiden status early last month in a 2825m Sable-sur-Sarthe Class F on 8 June. Takes on a much better lot this time but the draw will do her chances no disservice
  20. MOON DREAM – 4th of 15, despite being denied a run, in a 2200m Vincennes Class D on 10 June. Is plainly close to her race and can finally get that maiden monkey off her back
  21. MY GIRL PIYA – Lost her maiden tag at Graignes but sanctioned next time in a 2450m Caen Class D on 16 June. On better behaviour though is unlikely to be far from the action
  22. MOLLY MADRIK – In the frame in all 3 starts to date, latterly 2nd of 14 in a 2850m Laval Class E on 26 June. Will appreciate the new profile and can bring the fight to MOON DREAM (4)
  23. MARY PICKFORD – Got off the mark in a 2200m Agon Class G 3 weeks ago. Eric Raffin in the bike this time but will struggle to repeat
  24. MAJESTE DU MENIL – Made amends for Reims sanction when 3rd of 15 in a 2700m Class E at La Capelle 3 weeks ago. Forced to break wide here but still has the wherewithal to finish close
  25. MILADY DE REUX – Came good at Le Croise-Laroche on 16 June, comfortably securing a 2825m Class F. Faces a much stiffer test this time though and chances limited
  26. MAZERATI PAJJ – Sanctioned in a 2875m claimer here on 26 June and has nothing going for her here
  27. MADAME D’OURVILLE – Rather unlucky 7th of 8 finishers in a 2850m Vincennes Class D on 17 June. Form not in question though and, despite the draw, will be dangerous if Matthieu Abrivard successfully navigates the start
  28. MOUSKIE DE GUEZ – Complicated character that was sanctioned on re-entry late last month in a Class D over course and distance. Is clearly useful but others still easier to trust
  29. MILA DES COUPERIES – Imposed on April debut before running 3rd of 10 in a 2550m Reims Class E on 9 June. Starts on back row and in this company will have too much to do
  30. MUNIA – Showed marginal improvement when 5th of 11 finishers in a 2525m Class E at Les Andelys last Sunday. Has been handed a tough draw and is unlikely to create an upset
  31. MAMICASH D’HERIPRE – Sanctioned at Reims on 9 June before running 5th of 10, having faulted early, in a 2150m Vichy Class E a fortnight later. Has pulled a shocking number but can still play a role if she gets off on the right foot
Summary: After having run 3rd at Argentan in May, MOON DREAM (4) was most unlucky at Vincennes a month ago. She is ideally-positioned behind the car here and can set the record straight. That said, MOLLY MADRIK (6) has shown significant potential and it will not be long before she gets off the mark. MADAME D’OURVILLE (11) would have finished closer last time had she not struggled with her action, but is clearly a decent future prospect and her trainer will be determined to put things right. MAYA D’AVRIL (2) may not have been seen out since March but she has shown considerable potential and, with freshness on her side, can figure prominently.

    C3 – PRIX DE LA SORBONNE – 2150m (a1m1/4) – Class C Race – Harness – EUR € 46,000
  32. MAESTRO DE L’AUMOY – Sanctioned as often as not but convincing winner of a 2200m Vincennes Class D a month back. Grimault stable firing on all cylinders and the engagement of Eric Raffin will do his prospects no disservice
  33. MONTEQUILLO – Makes Enghien bow after finishing last of 9 in a 2700m Vincennes Gr.3 early last month. Takes a dip in category but others still preferred
  34. MAGIC INSTINCT – Imposed at Niort in May before running 2nd of 10 in a 2875m Class C here 10 days ago and will not be available at 17/1 this time
  35. MONEY CASH – Unlucky not to have finished closer than 3rd in a 2875m Class B here mid-June. Is excellent when applied and from the 4-spot can open his Enghien account
  36. MEMPHIS ELLIS – Returns to Enghien after coming 3rd of 6 in a 2950m Vichy Class C 10 days ago. Pleased on lone Enghien appearance and should logically finish in the mix
  37. MONEYTIME FLAC – Failed to confirm May victory when 4th of 7 finishers, a place behind MONEY CASH (4), in a 2875m Class B here on 14 June. Did not enjoy the best of trips that day and looks main danger to Nicolas Bridault’s colt
  38. MICHEL MARTIN – Ran a good 3rd here in May before dominating a 2950m Vichy Class C on 11 June. Starts wide but with Matthieu Abrivard in the bike will be afforded every chance
  39. MAFIATIME DUCAMPUS – Unexceptional here in April before coming 2nd of 10 in a 2700m Vincennes Class C 2.5 weeks ago and in this company will struggle to make his mark
  40. MILLER DU VIVIER – Has won 3 of 4 to date, latterly a 2550m Beaumont-de-Lomagne Class B on 24 May. Breaks from the back line here but can still make his presence felt
  41. MILORD D’IRAI – Unremarkable colt that finished last of 7 behind MONEY CASH (4) in a 2875m Class B here on 14 June and has no realistic chance
Summary: After a couple of sanctioned return runs, MONEY CASH (4) put in a fine effort here in mid-June and with more luck in running, can impose this time. Benjamin Rochard will still be keeping a watchful eye on MONEYTIME FLAC (6) who finished a place behind him that day, and the progressive MAESTRO DE L’AUMOY (1) who lost his maiden tag a month ago. Like a horse reborn this year, MAGIC INSTINCT (3) pleasantly surprised over longer here earlier this month and from the 3-spot will have his chances.

    C4 – PRIX DE ROMAINVILLE – 2875m (a2m) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 46,000
  42. JIRENZO – 7th of 14 when preparing for this in a 2825m Class E at Le Croise-Laroche on 16 June. Has never delivered at Enghien though and even racing barefoot will have too much to do
  43. JARDIN D’ERABLE – Disappointing on the whole this year, most recently 6th of 11 finishers in a 2600m Châlons-en-Champagne Class F on 22 June, and can expect to have few takers
  44. JAMAIS – Finished close 3rd of 15 in a 2800m Vire Class D late last month. Has never let the side down at Enghien and is not about to start now. Place chance
  45. JANNIG D’EREVAN – Easy winner of a 2200m Caen Class D on 19 June. Is better racing clockwise but in present shape is easy to recommend
  46. JUNIOR ANGELE – Continued the good run of form when 4th of 15 behind JAMAIS (3) in a 2800m Vire Class D late last month. Is confirmed here but still no more than a minor place prospect
  47. JUBY DE BAILLY – 3rd of 10 in a 2700m Vincennes claimer 2.5 weeks ago, but in this company will have little to contribute
  48. JUST D’ACADIE – In cracking form over recent months although never far from faulting. 3rd of 11 in a 2850m Laval Class D a month back and although unlikely to get his nose in front, should nevertheless figure prominently
  49. JAZZ D’OURVILLE – Placed over shorter here late-May but below-par since, most recently pulled-up in a 3000m Nantes Class F on 2 June. Barefoot this time but others still preferred
  50. JOB DU PERSIL – Unluckily sanctioned in early-June followed by lacklustre 8th of 12 in a 2700m Vincennes Class D 3 weeks ago. Is better than that though and can play a small role if focused
  51. JARDYLAND – Eye-catching 3rd of 11 in a 2600m Class D at Le Mont-Saint-Michel on 30 June. Won for the day’s driver last January and looks competitive once more
  52. JIDEO STREET – Sanctioned early in a 2700m Vincennes Class D on 20 June. Has otherwise been in fine form and can more than make amends if Gabi Gelormini assures his initial strides
  53. JAG HAUFOR – Imposed at Graignes before repeating in a 2175m Vincennes Class D on 7 June. Placed on sole Enghien start and in present shape is easy to like for the 3-timer
  54. JACOB LUDOIS – Made up for Laval blip when unopposed winner of a 2800m Vichy Class C 2.5 weeks ago. Is behind in earnings, thrives at Enghien, and has a realistic chance of repeating
  55. JACK DES MALBERAUX – Returns to racing barefoot after faulting in a 2850m Laval Class D last weekend. Can trot but not the most dependable and others easier to trust
Summary: Well-engaged close to the limit of earnings, JAG HAUFOR (12) returns to Enghien on a hat-trick and looks thoroughly capable of pulling it off. Also nicely entered here, JACOB LUDOIS (13) has looked a different horse since starting to race barefoot. Very much at home at Enghien, JAMAIS (3) left a good impression at Vire last time and is reunited with Eric Raffin who won with him in March. JARDYLAND (10) blows hot and cold but reassured late last month and Alexandre Abrivard will be hopeful of imposing with him for a 2nd time. In form and reconfigured, JIDEO STREET (11) will have his chances if he gets off on the right foot.

    C5 – PRIX DE VILLIERS – 2150m (a1m1/4) – Class C Race – Harness – EUR € 53,000
  56. EMPIRE AS – Ran 2nd of 14 on re-entry in a 2850m Class D across town 3 weeks ago. Has been pleasing over longer but has solid references over sprint distances too and must be respected
  57. KAZY MERITE – Imperious winner of a 2875m Class D here on 28 June. Enjoys a good number on the front line, thrives over 2150m here, and looks a major player once again
  58. FERAHAN AS – Showed improvement when 5th behind FARAMIR AS (10) in 27 June race of reference. Has a lot going for him here and will be expected to contest the finish this time
  59. UNDERGROUND ARTIST – 9th of 11 on re-entry in 27 June race of reference. Has failed to deliver since coming south and is not about to start now
  60. KARBONE CASH – 7th of 16 when preparing for this in a 2875m Class B here a month ago. Benefits from a good draw and although unlikely to impose, can still finish in the mix
  61. LORD DE LOIRON – Unlucky 6th of 13 behind FARAMIR AS (10) in a 2100m Vincennes Class C on 27 June. Is plainly in excellent shape and can win this if Franck Ouvrie keeps him out of harm’s way
  62. LASH PERRINE – 7th of 16 behind LORD DE LOIRON (6) in a 2875m Class A here on 14 June and is not about to influence the outcome
  63. FARGO WISE AS – Complicated colt that was sanctioned in late-June race of reference. Matthieu Abrivard in the bike this time but others still preferred
  64. ELAND – Winless since coming to France, although ran 4th in race of reference late last month. Trainer in the bike this time and the draw will not help matters
  65. FARAMIR AS – In the frame in 2 of last 3, latterly beating a number of these when 2nd of 13 in a 2100m Vincennes Class C on 27 June. Forced to start on 2nd row but is a classy colt and looks a serious proposition
  66. NGANNOU – Sanctioned in a 2850m Vincennes Class C on 27 June, but showed his form nevertheless. Has yet to deliver since coming to France but is not devoid of ability and should be retained
  67. THE LION – Well-beaten 7th of 13 behind FARAMIR AS (10) in a 2100m Vincennes Class C on 27 June. Has pulled a poor number once again and will struggle to make his presence felt
Summary: LORD DE LOIRON (6) encountered all sorts of problems at Vincennes a fortnight ago when beaten by Italian import FARAMIR AS (10) but, if kept out of trouble, should have his measure this time. Reconfigured for the occasion, FERAHAN AS (3) ran 5th that day, is better-placed behind the car, and will be no pushover. KAZY MERITE (2) flew up over longer here 2 weeks ago and has never disappointed under these conditions.

    C6 – PRIX DE WASHINGTON – 1609m (a1m) – Gr2 Race – Harness – EUR € 120,000
  68. GASPAR D’ANGIS – 2nd in a Vincennes Gr.3 before running 3rd of 9 in a 2850m Gr.2 at the same venue on 7 June. Has never competed over a mile but Eric Raffin knows him well and can assure him a competitive drive
  69. ELVIS DU VALLON – Starts for the first time since running 7th of 11 behind GO ON BOY (6) in 2150m Gr.1 Prix de l’Atlantique here on 19 April. Ran 4th in 2024 edition but still an outsider
  70. DIMITRI FERM – Quality Italian sort making Enghien debut after running 2nd of 10 in a 1640m Padua Gr.2 a month back. Enjoys a good draw, sports front pads for the occasion, and the mile is right up his street. First 5
  71. HOOKER BERRY – 5th of 9 behind GASPAR D’ANGIS (1) in a 2850m Vincennes Gr.2 early last month. Not as sharp as he was over the winter but is proven over the distance and can play a small part
  72. HOHNECK – Makes first appearance since running 3rd of 9 to GO ON BOY (6) in 1609m Gr.1 Elitloppet in Solvalla in late-May. Won this 12 months ago but may have to play 2nd fiddle this time
  73. GO ON BOY – Serious type that has hardly put a foot wrong all year, latterly 2nd of 8 in 2100m Gr.1 Prix Rene Ballière across town 3 weeks ago. Is the fastest horse here and with a good break can make this his own
  74. FAKIR MERITE – 8th of 16 in a 2950m Toulouse Gr.3 on 18 June. Is confirmed here but is out of his league
  75. HUBBLE DU VIVIER – Made it 2 on the trot when securing a 2150m Class A here on 14 June. Trainer in the bike this time and will have a lot to offer if he positions him early
  76. RIKITA JP – Sanctioned in a 2100m Gr.1 Prix Rene Ballière across town 3 weeks ago and is not about to shake things up
  77. IGREC DE CELLAND – Fast-finishing 3rd of 8, despite being denied a run, in a 2950m Vichy Gr.2 on 1 July, and in similar form can get in on the action
  78. ELEGANCE KRONOS – Made no impact when 6th of 8 behind GO ON BOY (6) in 2100m Gr.1 Prix Rene Ballière across town 3 weeks ago and the draw will do her no favours
  79. GOAL STAR – Last but one, on first start since April, in a 2850m Carentan Class A last Sunday, and has no possible chance
Summary: A cracking contest in the making here as exceptional campaigner HOHNECK (5) takes on GO ON BOY (6). Philippe Allaire’s charge beat Romain Derieux’s horse by a half-length in the 2024 edition, however the latter turned the tables in Elitloppet at the end of May before running 2nd in the Gr.1 Prix René Ballière, and looks the pick of the field. HUBBLE DU VIVIER (8) did not exactly win the draw lottery, and takes to a mile for the first time, but he has turned a corner since moving to the Bazire yard and looks competitive for a place in the frame. Unlucky at Vichy early this month, IGREC DE CELLAND (10) starts on the 2nd row but can play a prominent role if still on the boil.

  80. KULTA – Last but one in a 3000m Class E at Nantes early last month and appears to have no realistic chance
  81. KEA DES RACQUES – Starts for first time since coming 8th of 13 in a 2825m Chartres Class D on 27 April. Matthieu Abrivard in the bike but still not a concern
  82. KARMEN DE MONTCEAU – Runner-up in last 2, latterly a 2700m Vincennes Class D on 27 May. Has had ample time to recover but sports pads this time and others preferred
  83. KEVA LUDOISE – Won 3 of her last 4, most recently a 2950m Vichy Class E with ease on 1 July. Is as comfortable racing left-handed as right- and should figure prominently at the business end of the race
  84. KYOKA BOCNEUF – Ran 3rd at Nantes before coming 2nd of 16 in a 2850m Laval Class D just over 2 weeks ago. Is plainly close to her race and will be no soft touch
  85. KALINKA CASTELETS – Put on a good show across town before being pulled-up in a Class D under these conditions 2 weeks ago. Has never excelled at Enghien but on good behaviour can get in on the action
  86. KACEY BELL – Oddly below-par in last 2, most recently 7th of 11 in an 1800m Class D at La Capelle on 6 July. Is clearly better than that and sports a new configuration with every chance of going closer
  87. KANELLE DE TILLARD – Honest mare that ran 5th of 13 in a 2300m Chateaubriant Class D on 25 May. Has had time to freshen up, won her only start at the venue, and can again make first 5
  88. KELOWNA LEGEND – Met no opposition en route to victory in a 2100m Vincennes Class E on 24 June. Eric Raffin back in the bike and will expect to repeat
  89. KINDY DU VIVIER – Facile winner, in spite of a poor draw, of a 2600m Class D at Le Mont-Saint-Michel late last month. Takes on a better lot this time and will be competitive for a step on the podium
  90. KAHIA DE LA CROIX – Sanctioned at Niort but made amends when 5th of 16 in a Class D over course and distance a fortnight back. Takes on better this time but is still not to be entirelyruled out
Summary: Impressive winner over shorter at Vincennes late last month, on her first association with Eric Raffin, KELOWNA LEGEND (9) makes her Enghien debut with a realistic chance of making it a triumphant one. She will still encounter resistance from the good KYOKA BOCNEUF (5) who has done nothing but improve this term, and KEVA LUDOISE (4) who has been a revelation in her current configuration. KINDY DU VIVIER (10) is hard to fault when barefoot and her latest performance augurs well for her prospects.

  91. GINKGO THELOIS – 10th of 13 behind TOTO BAROSSO (4) in a 2150m Class B here on 24 May. Has looked ordinary all year and will have nothing to contribute
  92. INDUS VAL – Comfortable winner at Hyeres before storming up in a 2700m Vincennes Class C on 13 June and Mattheiu Abrivard will be eager to make it 3 on the trot
  93. IDEAL DU ROCHER – Useful sort that ran 4th of 13 behind TOTO BAROSSO (4) in a 2150m Class B here on 24 May. Debuts for the Duvaldestin yard, with Benjamin Rochard in the bike, and will be expected to turn the tables on TOTO BAROSSO (4)
  94. TOTO BAROSSO – 2nd of 13 in a 2150m Class B here on 24 May. Goes over any trip and is unlikely to disappoint. Place chance
  95. INSTRUMENTALISTE – 6th of 16 in a 2150m Class A here on 14 June. In less-exalted company this time and will be no pushover
  96. HELIOT DE CAHOT – 8th of 16 in a 2875m Arras Class A a fortnight back. Has been disappointing for past 2.5 months and is not about to influence the result
  97. HERADAMES – Should not be too hastily-condemned for running 9th of 15 in a Gr.3 over course and distance last Saturday. Is in his category here and will be competitive for a first-5 cheque
  98. GINO VIVA – Got back in the game at Cavaillon on 17 June when 4th of 12 in a 2525m Class B. Has never let the side down at Enghien and must be taken seriously
  99. HARRY CARISAIE – Sanctioned in last 2, latterly a 2950m Toulouse Gr.3 on 18 June. Preparing for a campaign in the other code and can be passed over
  100. GABRIELLA DUEM – In the frame in 3 before finishing a one-paced 8th of 16 behind INSTRUMENTALISTE (5) in a 2150m Class A here on 14 June. Goes barefoot this time and Alexandre Abrivard will be eager to put things right. Attention
  101. FELIX DU BOURG – Takes a dip in category after finishing 13th of 16 behind INSTRUMENTALISTE (5) in a 2150m Class A here on 14 June, but still not an obvious choice
Summary: As solid as a rock in his last 6 starts, INDUS VAL (2) returns to a track he adores and is thoroughly capable of securing the hat-trick. The good TOTO BAROSSO (4) beat IDEAL DU ROCHER (3) here in May but the latter has since switched stables and looks the better of the two this time. INSTRUMENTALISTE (5) drops down the category-ladder and Eric Raffin will be justifiably optimistic of a place in the frame.

  102. LIPA STAR – Imposed at Cherbourg before running 5th of 12 in a Class E over course and distance last weekend, but in this company will have too much to do
  103. LUTECE D’ELA – Makes Enghien debut after running 4th of 11 in a 2700m Vincennes Class D on 13 June. Is in her category and should not be overlooked
  104. LOVELY JENILOU – Quality element that finished last but one on comeback in a 2850m Laval Class C on 2 June. Is barefoot this time, with Matthieu Abrivard reining, but others still easier to back
  105. LILYROSE WIND – Put on quite the show to win a Class E over course and distance late last month. Steps up in category but is clearly capable of repeating
  106. LACIENDA FLASH – Pleasantly surprising 4th of 11, a place behind L’HAVANA D’ELMA (6), in a 2150m Class D here 10 days ago. Goes well for Franck Nivard and should again finish in the mix
  107. L’HAVANA D’ELMA – Left a good impression behind LA STAR (9) in a 2150m Class D here 10 days ago. Appears to be in decent shape and can again make first 5
  108. LADY OF DURBUY – Starts for first time since winning a 2700m Vincennes Class E in mid-April. Goes barefoot for comeback and, if tuned-up following the break, can play a leading role
  109. LEMONADE FIZZ – 5th of 11, a place behind LUTECE D’ELA (2), in a 2700m Vincennes Class D on 13 June but has more to find on this occasion
