R1 LE MONT SAINT MICHEL [R-H]
C1 – PRIX SARL SARRAZIN – 2675m (a1m1/2) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 20,000
- MOJITO D’HERFRAIE – 6th of 10, a place behind MAESTRO DE CORDAY (11), in a 2800m Vire Class E on 25 June. Will have progressed for the run and is not to be ruled out
- MICKEY DE CRENNES – Ran 3rd at Ranes before coming 5th of 12, at 49/1, in a 2600m Class E here on 30 June, and can expect to have few takers
- MAX DU POMMEREUX – Sanctioned more often than not but reassured late last month when 2nd of 10 in a 2950m Vichy Class F. Unlikely to repeat but is unlikely to be sent out at 39/1 either
- MONSEIGNEUR MADRIK – Sanctioned on 1 June debut but got off the mark in a 2950m Saint-Malo Class F 8 days later. Makes Mont-Saint-Michel bow with morale intact and can make it a winning one
- MALMO DE PUCH – Made up for Alencon sanction when 2nd of 8 in a 2625m Cherbourg Class E mid-June. Runs right-handed this time and will not be far from the action if he both turns and stays in stride
- MONTE CARLO – Lost his maiden status in a 2475m Niort Class G on 22 June. Steps back up in category but is still in the running for a first-5 cheque
- MY MILLION ATOUT – Met no opposition on re-entry when successful in a 2600m Savenay Class G on 4 May. Yoann Lebourgeois in the bike this time and the double is well within his capacity
- MOZART D’ELORAC – Got off the mark in a 2800m Class H at Villedieu-les-Poëles 12 days ago but at this level will need to find considerably more
- MONCOEUR DE DYPP – Made amends for Durtal clinker when victorious in a 2750m Ecommoy Class F on 22 June, but in this category will struggle to leave his mark
- MAZAR DE VANDEL – Left a good impression at Laval 3 weeks ago when 3rd of 9 in a 2850m Class E. Will struggle to win this but still has the wherewithal to to trot his way into the picture
- MAESTRO DE CORDAY – Unexceptional 5th of 10 in a 2800m Vire Class E on 25 June and confirmation seems most improbable
- MAESTRO D’IDEF – Climbs the category-ladder after winning a 2200m Class G at Le Neuborg on 8 June. Ran 5th here late-May and should be in a position to pick up some crumbs
Summary: Put away after debuting nicely last December, MY MILLION ATOUT (7) got straight down to business on comeback in early-May, and fresh for his return to a hard surface looks thoroughly capable of repeating. Unlucky first time out, MONSEIGNEUR MADRIK (4) lost his maiden tag next time and with application can repeat. MAZAR DE VANDEL (10) has started to make good on his promise and should again figure prominently, as should MALMO DE PUCH (5) who produced his best performance to date last time out.

C2 – PRIX DE PONTORSON – 2600m (a1m1/2) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 20,000 - LADY DU CEDRE – Ran 2nd under harness at Angers before being sanctioned in a 2750m Cabourg monte Class E on 1 July. Reverts to racing barefoot and with application is unlikely to disappoint
- LUCKY DELADOU – Ran 3rd to LORD DE FONTAINE (5) at Amiens before coming 2nd of 13 in a 2725m Lisieux Class F a fortnight ago. Has a decent spot on the front row and can again contest the finish
- LUI DU DONJON – Hardy element making first start since running 3rd of 16 in a 2800m Vichy Class E on 11 May. Shoes on though and best to wait
- LOZA – Got off the mark in a 2400m Amiens Class F on 12 June when first time barefoot. Takes on a better bunch here and although not a priority is still worth monitoring
- LORD DE FONTAINE – Made it 2 in a row when securing a 2400m Amiens Class F on 12 June. A revelation since starting to race barefoot and is eminently capable of pulling off the 3-timer
- LOUVIERS – Returns to racing right-handed after finishing last of 6 in a 2850m Laval Class E 10 days ago. Is not a contender though and would be preferred with hind shoes off
- LUPIN DU RIB – 8th of 11 finishers behind LATINO DES ISLES (8), when being prepped for this, in a 2725m Cabourg Class E last week. Sports front pads this time and has the wherewithal to finish in the money
- LATINO DES ISLES – Unthreatening 6th of 11 finishers in a 2725m Cabourg Class E last week and will have nothing to contribute
- LEON DU RIB – Lacklustre last of 9 in a 2750m Cabourg monte Class E on 1 July. Has won here under harness but is here for a change of scenery this time
- LUTIN DU PRATEL – Oddly below-par 8th of 13 behind LUCKY DELADOU (2) in a 2725m Lisieux Class F a fortnight ago. Left a good impression here in May but appears to be biting off too much this time
- LE CAPORAL – Sanctioned early, on re-entry, in a 2625m Cherbourg Class F mid-June. Front shoes back on but is difficult to knock when focused and despite the draw must still be worth retaining
- LACSAP DREAM – Dominated a 2800m Vire Class F 3 weeks ago. Steps up in category and is not ideally-drawn but in current form is easy to like for a place in the frame
- LIKE MESLOIS – 5th of 13 behind LUCKY DELADOU (2), on comeback, in a 2725m Lisieux Class F a fortnight ago. Forced to start on back row but will have come on for the run and going barefoot may be just what the doctor ordered
Summary: Undefeated in both barefoot starts, LORD DE FONTAINE (5) makes his Mont-Saint-Michel debut on a hat-trick and with Yoann Lebourgeois in the bike will be expected to oblige. LUCKY DELADOU (2) ran 3rd to him last month, has been knocking at the door for the past 2 months, and looks the main danger. LIKE MESLOIS (13) gave a surprisingly good account on comeback, goes barefoot for the first time, and can figure prominently if positioned early. LACSAP DREAM (12) has done nothing but improve lately and even from the back line can play an active role.

C3 – PRIX SARL TP DU VAL DE SEE – 2600m (a1m1/2) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 23,000 - KAPELLA DRY – 4th of 6 finishers when preparing for this in a 2850m Laval Class E 10 days ago. Front shoes off this time and should figure more prominently. Place prospect
- KALAMA DE BEYLEV – Held her own to come 5th of 9 finishers in a 2800m Chartres Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Unlikely to win this but has a decent chance of making first 5
- KENTUCKY VALLEY – Has 3 runs under her belt, latterly last of 11 finishers in a 2725m Lisieux Class F on 3 July. Front shoes off here but will struggle to make her presence felt
- KENDAYA – Thrashed the opposition to win a Vichy Class F over a mile 11 days ago. Is currently in flying form and in with a realistic shout of doubling her money
- KALANSKA – Victim of an incident in a 2800m Vire Class E on 25 June, coming last but one behind KIBELLE DE VIETTE (14). Is plainly in top form though and will be no easy touch if her driver keeps her out of harm’s way
- KIRENE FLASH – Runner-up in last 2, latterly a 2050m Cabourg Class F on 1 July. Has excellent finishing speed and given the opportunity can have her way
- KERIDA BEST – Ran 2nd at Amiens before coming 6th of 9 finishers, a place behind KALAMA DE BEYLEV (2), in a 2800m Chartres Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Breaks wide and faces a much stiffer test this time around
- KLARISSE – Last of 6 behind KAPELLA DRY (1) in a 2850m Laval Class E 10 days ago. Sports front pads this time but still has too much to find
- KENZA SPORT – Showed improvement when 4th of 10 finishers to KENDAYA (4) in a 1609m Vichy Class F on 5 July. Cannot be considered a priority but still seems capable of picking up some prizemoney
- KATINKA COTON – Sanctioned in a 2800m Chartres Class E conditioner 2.5 weeks ago. Stays shod though and best to hold off
- KANARY BAY – Imposed at Agen prior to running 2nd of 13 in a 2725m Pornichet Class F on 3 July. On back line but can get in on the action if she stays in stride
- KAROLINE CADE – Last but one, after faulting, in a 2750m Cabourg Class E 12 days ago. Entrusted to Benjamin Rochard this time, sports modified shoeing, and must be taken more seriously
- KOURSE MAGIC – Makes first appearance since running 7th of 11 in a 2150m Enghien Class E in late-March. Shoes fitted and no threat
- KIBELLE DE VIETTE – 6th of 13 in a 2800m Vire Class E 3 weeks ago. Has been handed a shocking draw here and is unlikely to create an upset
Summary: A number of horses in contention here but it is difficult to ignore the transformation KENDAYA (4) has experienced over recent months and the draw only enhances her already good prospects. Placed here as a 3yo, KIRENE FLASH (6) has hind shoes fitted this time but is plainly close to her race and the front-row start makes her competitive for the win. Reconfigured for the occasion, KAPELLA DRY (1) is never far from faulting but he has nothing to prove at this level and even though forced to start from the 1-spot will be competitive for a place on the podium. Very unlucky at Vire 3 weeks ago, KALANSKA (5) has been handed a good draw and with Yoann Lebourgeois in the bike will be afforded every chance.

C4 – PRIX DU CONSEIL REGIONAL DE NORMANDIE – 2600m (a1m1/2) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 23,000 - KLASSIC WINNER – Returns to racing shod after being sanctioned in a 2850m Laval Class E 10 days ago. Has produced some good performances this term and, if applied, can pick up some prizemoney
- KISS YOU PIYA – Unseen since finishing a one-paced 6th of 10 in a 2150m Argentan Class E on 12 May. Goes barefoot for comeback but others still preferred
- KING ROC – Showed marked improvement on Jallais effort when 3rd of 15 in a 2750m Cabourg Class F on 4 July. Ran 2nd here last summer, breaks from the 3-spot, and a similar effort would see him go close once again
- KENAVO TUILERIE – Suffered interference and subsequently sanctioned in a 2800m Vire Class E on 25 June. Is a tough nut when focused though and can wrap this up if kept out of trouble
- KELAS – Defied his odds to run 2nd of 14 to KENTUCKY PIYA (8) in a 2050m Cabourg Class F on 1 July. David Thomain in the bike once more and the front-row draw will only work to his advantage. Place chance
- KEMER SI – Encouraged at Pontchateau before finishing 12th of 14 in a 2700m Segre Class E 2.5 weeks ago and can be passed over
- KOKO DU CANTER – 5th of 17 in a 2700m Segre Class E on 29 June. Is clearly better on turf but is plainly in shape and, reconfigured for the occasion, with Benjamin Rochard reining, is not about to let the side down. Attention
- KENTUCKY PIYA – Not everyone’s cup of tea but secured a 2050m Cabourg Class F a fortnight ago and a similar performance would see him contest the finish
- KALOU DES NOEES – Disappointing in last 3, latterly sanctioned in a 3100m Chinon Class F 10 days ago. Is no slouch but must first reaffirm his credentials
- KYMI JACK – Pleasantly surprising 4th of 13 in a 2950m Saint-Malo Class F on 8 July but starts on back row and a repeat performance seems unlikely
Summary: Sanctioned in his last two, KENAVO TUILERIE (4) was very unlucky at Vire 3 weeks ago. He placed last time here and from the 4-spot Yoann Lebourgeois will be sufficiently well-positioned to set the record straight. Runner-up on his lone start at the venue, and solid at Cabourg earlier this month, KING ROC (3) will be no shrinking violet. Antoine de Vaugiraud would have preferred a better draw for recent Cabourg winner KENTUCKY PIYA (8) but Franck Nivard has stayed faithful and his presence in the sulky can make all the difference. Second that day, and yet to disappoint in his current configuration, KELAS (5) will not be available at 24/1 this time.

C5 – PRIX DES VANS MTM – 2675m (a1m1/2) – Class F Race – Mounted – EUR € 26,000 - CAPITANO (GER) – Has not been seen out since coming 3rd of 11, under harness, over 2000m in Gelsenkirchen in late-March and debuts in the discipline with little to contribute
- KING CHAOS – Quality Swedish raider that ran a reassuring 3rd of 9 in a 2850m Laval Class F 10 days ago. Has no right-handed references but will have his supporters
- BATTUTA FACE – Won at Chartres last month, on French debut, before finishing last but one when preparing for this in a 2850m Feurs harness Class D 12 days ago. Has won 4 from 5 in the ridden code and must be considered a serious contender
- GINKGO ROCQ – Last but one here late last month before coming 3rd of 10 in a 2750m Cabourg Class F 8 days later. On this occasion though will have too much to do
- JAZZMAN IDEF – Sanctioned in a 2725m Pornichet Class F earlier this month. Imposed last month at Montluçon when shod but will face a stiffer test this time. First 5
- JADE DU PARC – 3rd of 8 in a 2725m Pornichet Class F a fortnight ago. Pleased on sole run at the venue and will be competitive for a step on the podium
- DECLAN – 11th of 13 in a 2875m Enghien harness Class D on 14 June. Paul Ploquin aboard here and should not be underestimated
- JIMINY CRICKET – Won a 2625m Class F at Saint-Pierre-la-Cour on 21 June, his first monte start since imposing in Paris last February, and with shoes off will have a lot to contribute. Chance
- JUPITER DU CORTA – Back under the saddle after being sanctioned in a 2775m Craon harness Class F conditioner on 23 June. Is ideally-engaged at the limit of earnings and looks set to take all the beating
Summary: Runner-up at Vincennes recently on his return to the ridden discipline, JUPITER DU CORTA (9) is shod as he was that day and with Mathieu Mottier back in the irons should be thoroughly capable of winning a race of this nature. That said, JIMINY CRICKET (8) has won his last 2 under the saddle and, barefoot for the first time, represents the main threat. Simply superb in this branch of the business, the Swedish BATTUTA FACE (3) must be respected. Solid in her last 3, JADE DU PARC (6) is confirmed here and with application can challenge for a place in the frame.

C6 – PRIX PARIS TURF – 2600m (a1m1/2) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 28,000 - ICARE DU POMMEREUX – Last of 12 behind ISERE (5) in a 2675m Lisieux Class F on 3 July. Out of the picture in last 7 starts and can be passed over
- ISSY DE TILLARD – Surprising 6th of 12 behind ISERE (5) in a 2675m Lisieux Class F on 3 July. Handed the 2-spot, and is competitively-shod, but looks a minor place chance at best this time
- ICARE D’ACADIE – Has been showing the limits of his capacity recently, latterly 9th of 18 to ISERE (5) in a 2750m Ecommoy Class E on 22 June, and will have nothing to contribute
- IRRESISTIBLE GABY – Unplaced in last 3, most recently 12th of 16 in a 3100m Class E at La Gacilly 10 days ago. Benefits from a good spot behind the car but others still preferred
- ISERE – Imposed at Ecommoy before running 4th of 12 in a 2675m Lisieux Class F on 3 July. Has never failed to deliver for the day’s driver and looks the one to beat
- INFERNO POURPRE – Imposed at Reims before coming 4th of 16 in a 2800m Vichy Class F on 1 July. Franck Nivard in the bike this time and should be good enough to make first 5
- IDEAL DU MOULIN – Encouraging 2nd of 9 in a 2150m Enghien claimer 2.5 weeks ago. Has references at a superior level though and debuts at the venue with a good hand to play
- IKILIK – Barring last month’s Alencon sanction, has been in top form. Ran 2nd of 13 in a 2850m Carentan amateurs Class F 10 days ago and will be dangerous if Robin Lamy successfully navigates the start
- ILLEGITIME PRINCE – 2nd of 11 in a 2800m Class H at Villedieu-les-Poëles on 4 July. Ran 2nd last time under these conditions and although poorly-drawn still has the wherewithal to finish close
- IRON MAN – Last of 11 behind ILLEGITIME PRINCE (9) in a 2800m Class H at Villedieu-les-Poëles on 4 July. A write-off since winning over course and distance 12 months ago and has no realistic chance
- IDEALE D’ABBEVILLE – 7th of 16 when being conditioned in a 2750m Cabourg amateurs Class G last week. Shod to preference this time, and in spite of a 2nd line draw, can nevertheless play a small part
- ISEA DE SAINT MARC – 2nd of 11 in a 2150m Vichy Class F on 19 June. Goes well for his young partner and despite the draw should not be far off the mark
- INVASION D’OEILLET – 8th of 12 behind ISERE (5) in a 2675m Lisieux Class F on 3 July. Has nothing going for her here and will have few friends
- INDIANA TESS – Reassured at Pontchateau before losing her action in a 2450m Caen Class F on 19 June, and can be ruled out
- IRAFARA – Made up for Le Touquet sanction when dominating a 2725m Cabourg Class F on 4 July. Has pulled a tough number but with Mathieu Mottier in the bike must be considered a serious proposition
Summary: In rude health, and difficult to fault racing clockwise, ISERE (5) enjoys an excellent draw, is reunited with David Thomain, and has every chance of securing a second victory of the year. She will still come under pressure from IKILIK (8) who has a lot to contribute despite the wide draw, and the less favourably positioned IRAFARA (15) who stormed up at Cabourg earlier in the month. Valiant runner-up to a very good horse in Vichy last month, ISEA DE SAINT MARC (12) breaks from the back row but still looks competitively well in.

C7 – PRIX DES ETABLISSEMENTS RAULT-TRACTEURS – 2675m (a1m1/2) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 34,000 - JALDO D’OCQUE – Flew up at Caen before finishing 8th of 12 in a 2700m Vittel Class E late last month. Has no handicap to defy this time and will be expected to finish in the mix
- JOYEUSE ENTREE – 2nd of 12 in a 2825m monte Class F at Sable-sur-Sarthe 2.5 weeks ago. Left a very good impression at Segre despite the result and with a leading pilot reining should be good enough to win this
- IDEAL DE SASSY – Out of the picture in last 3, latterly 9th of 11 in a 2725m Cabourg Class E on 4 July. Has never disappointed here, starts in front, and should not be entirely disregarded
- HIT PERRINE – 6th of 14 in a 2450m Caen Class E a month ago. Breaks in front here and is unlikely to be far from the action
- JADE D’AMOUR – Sanctioned in a 3100m Chinon Class F when perspiring for this 10 days ago. Enjoys a 40 percent win-rate when barefoot and, if fully fit and focused, can contest the finish. Chance
- JAVA D’ANAMA – 5th of 16 in a 3100m Chinon Class F 10 days ago. Has not got her nose in front for 10 months but enjoys a good entry and goes well for Anthony Barrier. First 5
- GAMIN DU GAULTIER – 3rd of 13 in a 2800m Vichy Class D a fortnight ago. Has bags of ability but would be preferred barefoot
- JANZIBAR – Classy element that recently finished last but one behind JASON (10) in a 2850m Vincennes Class B on 7 June. Should not be too hastily condemned but stays shod nevertheless and best to hold off
- HOLERO LOVE – Starts for first time since running 5th of 16 in a 2850m Vincennes Class B in late-January and will need the race
- JASON – 7th of 11 behind JANZIBAR (8) in a 2850m Vincennes Class B 9 days ago. Takes on a less-exalted lot this time and is not incapable of getting a look in
- HASUR DAIRPET – 8th of 11 to HASARD D’ERABLE (16), on re-entry, in a 3000m Chateaubriant Class D 9 days ago. Is still in conditioning mode and not a priority
- HIGH PROPULSION – 10th of 11 to HASARD D’ERABLE (16), on re-entry, in a 3000m Chateaubriant Class D 9 days ago. Shoes fitted once more and cannot be considered a player
- HOVE PONT VAUTIER – Produced a good Class C effort at Vincennes before losing his action in a 2875m Enghien Class C a fortnight back. Is plainly in fine shape though and can play an active role if applied
- INDY DARK – Quality campaigner that ran 2nd of 10 in a 2700m Vincennes Class C on 13 June. Races shod this time but did win at Laval like this earlier in the season and must not be overlooked
- FAREDGIO MENUET – 12th of 14, on return to competition, in a 2850m Carentan Class A 10 days ago and will have little to offer
- HASARD D’ERABLE – Comfortable winner of a 3000m Chateaubriant Class D 9 days ago. Has nothing to prove at this level and considering the entry must be taken seriously
Summary: There is considerable strength on the front line for this tough contest and while JOYEUSE ENTREE (2) may be better known for her trotting exploits, she boasts solid harness credentials and with Mathieu Mottier in the bike can impose. He will still be mindful of the serious JADE D’AMOUR (5) who races barefoot after a brace of return runs, and JALDO D’OCQUE (1) who will be no pushover if he replicates last month’s Caen performance. JAVA D’ANAMA (6) benefits from a terrific engagement on the first row and although unlikely to impose can nevertheless get in close. Similarly well in, but on the back line, HASARD D’ERABLE (16) will not be going home empty-handed.

- JUST WINNER ROC – Back under harness after coming 2nd of 9 finishers in a 2800m Moulins monte Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Reverts to a previous configuration for the occasion and is unlikely to disappoint
- JIBRIL SNOB – Useful sort but has not been seen out since finishing 9th of 16 in a 2950m Le Mans amateurs Class G in early-May and would be preferred barefoot
- JEAN D’HOLLENBOURG – Starts for first time since finishing last but one in a 2925m Cagnes Class E on 17 January. Competitively-shod for re-entry but still not an obvious choice
- JAB KISS – 3rd of 16 when prepping for this in a 2675m Lisieux amateurs Class G on 3 July. Hind shoes off this time, breaks in front, and is unlikely to let the side down. First 5
- JEUNE ORANGE COTON – Held his own to finish 5th of 16 in a 2600m Class F at Le Touquet on 22 June. Mathieu Mottier in the wagon this time and will be expected to play an active role
- JEWEL DE MIRE – Out of the picture in last 3, latterly 9th of 13 in a 2800m Vichy Class F 3 weeks ago. Has ample ability though, won his only start here, and it is just a question of time before he gets back in the game
- JACK L’EVENTREUR – Makes first appearance since finishing last of 8 in a 2875m Enghien Class D on 11 March. Shoes on and best to hold off
- JORLANDO – Made it 3 in a row when easily winning a 2150m Enghien amateurs Class F 2 weeks ago. Is as comfortable racing left-handed as right- and has a realistic chance of adding another victory to his impressive tally
- JOY JENILOU – Just pipped in a 2850m Laval Class D 10 days ago after having imposed in Paris and is in with a good chance of winning this
- JOIA DU CITRUS – Sanctioned in last 2, latterly a 2525m Class F at Les Andelys 10 days ago. Has bags of ability though and will be no easy touch if David Thomain keeps her trotting. Place chance
Summary: Successful at Vincennes on her first goal of the season before missing out by little for the double earlier this month, JOY JENILOU (10) will be partnered this time by Damien Bonne who will be determined to set the record straight. He will still want to be wary of a barefoot JORLANDO (9) who makes his debut at the venue on a 4-timer, and a reconfigured JOIA DU CITRUS (11) who will have the measure of most here if focused. JUST WINNER ROC (2) has demonstrated decent aptitude for both codes, sports modified shoeing, starts in front, and in current condition is hard to ignore.

Summary: MERLE (1) has run well in both of his starts to date. This distance is not a problem, and he can go one better this time. MATAKI (3) was not too far behind that rival at Toulouse and will appreciate this shorter distance, so should be a threat. AMAZING CHRISTMAS (6) clearly needed her debut and is expected to improve — she could be a threat this time around. MARYZIA (5) has only had two starts and is capable of improvement.

Summary: LOVELY WILD (4) won on her third start over 3500m at Moulins in a Class 3 hurdle in early June on her most recent start. She is a marginal choice ahead of BEL ENJEU (3), who showed promise in his two runs, the latter when he failed to complete the course at Auteuil in early April.
