R1 VINCENNES [L-H]
C1 – PRIX DE MORET-SUR-LOING – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 46,000
- ELEGANZA AV – 4th of 10 behind ELTYME (7) in a 2150m Enghien Class D conditioner 3 weeks ago. Is in competition-mode this time and with Alexandre Abrivard at the helm can impose
- KOSY D’ERONVILLE – Eliminated in a 2675m Class E at Le Mont-Saint-Michel a fortnight ago, her first appearance for 3.5 months. Has previously imposed over track and trip and with shoes off should not be overlooked
- KARLA JALLERIE – Won at Segre before coming 3rd of 9 in a 2875m Class D at Meslay-du-Maine mid-month. Has never been tested over less than 2500m but in current shape, from the 3-spot, must be respected
- QUEEN OF THE NIGHT – Pleasantly surprising 3rd of 10 behind ELTYME (7) in a 2150m Enghien Class D conditioner 3 weeks ago. Handed a fine draw but has little liking for Vincennes and others preferred
- KARA POU RAFAL – 2nd of 9 in a 1609m Argentan Class E on re-entry 3 weeks ago. Has previously won here in the day’s configuration but a repeat seems most unlikely
- KALINKA DU GRENAT – Unable to confirm late-July performance when last of 8 in a 2875m Enghien Class D on 2 August. Starts in front but still not a priority
- ELTYME – Reassuringly close 2nd of 10 in a 2150m Enghien Class D 3 weeks ago. Finished a place behind ELEGANZA AV (1) last time here but will be no pushover
- KAHIRA DES MARES – Tenacious winner of a 2150m Enghien Class E early this month. Has less love for Vincennes but present form cannot be ignored. First 5
- PERFECT – Comfortable winner of a 2875m Enghien Class E late last month, on first start south of Sweden. Forced to break wide but makes Vincennes debut with morale intact and must not be underestimated
- DAMADICUORI FONT – Eliminated in a 2700m Gramat Class H on 4 August. Has failed to deliver since coming to France and with shoes on will have very limited prospects
- DESDEMONA (ITY) – Quality transalpine raider that ran 2nd of 5 over a mile at Villanova d’Albenga 8 days ago. Champion driver has taken the drive and even from the 2nd row will be competitive for the win
- RAGAZZA DU CHENE – Useful mare but has not been seen out since running 8th of 16 in a 2150m Enghien Class D last March and is going to need the race
Summary: Although winless since moving to France, ELEGANZA AV (1) left a very good impression under these conditions in the spring and with shoes off can finally get her nose in front. ELTYME (7) finished ahead of her at Enghien but may be forced to play second fiddle to her on this occasion. On the back line for her French bow, DESDEMONA (ITY) (11) is nevertheless in fine fettle and Eric Raffin will be in the bike. Swedish import, PERFECT (9), opened her French account at the first time of asking and despite a wide draw will be competitive for a repeat.

C2 – PRIX J. DE VAULOGE-CRITERIUM 3 ANS Q3 – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Gr2 Race – Harness – EUR € 120,000 - MAJON – Missed out by little in a 2150m Enghien Class D 2.5 weeks ago but at this level has no realistic chance
- MAGIC LOVE – Makes his first foray into Pattern racing after coming 4th of 13 in a 2875m Enghien Class A late last month, and seems to be taking on too much
- MUST ATOUT – Last of 7 finishers to MYSTIC SONATO (8) in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Abel Bassigny here 2 weeks ago and is not about to spring a surprise
- MARDOUK DE GODREL – Twice eliminated at Enghien before winning a 2725m Pornichet Class B just over 2 weeks ago. Has shown the limits of his capacity but should nevertheless acquit himself honourably
- MAKE A DREAM – 3rd of 12 when prepping for this in a 3000m Rochefort-sur-Loire Class B on 4 August. Has won twice over course and distance and will not be far from the action if he gets off on the right foot
- MAESTRO RIVER – Complicated but useful colt that ran 4th of 7 finishers to MYSTIC SONATO (8) in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Abel Bassigny here 2 weeks ago. Has never disappointed when focused and with his mind on the game can finish in the mix
- MAGNUM DU CHOQUEL – 3rd in an Enghien Gr.3 early this month before running 5th in Gr.2 Prix Abel Bassigny a fortnight later. Goes over any trip and while not a priority is still unlikely to return home empty-handed
- MYSTIC SONATO – Set personal best of 1’11”4 when victorious in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Abel Bassigny here a fortnight ago. Is not the easiest to gauge but still looks a respectable place prospect
- MAGIC MAN – Good 2nd in Gr.1 Prix Albert Viel before losing his action in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Abel Bassigny here 2 weeks ago. Thrives over 2700m here and is in with a realistic shout of bringing home the bacon
- MAITRE JACQUES – Made up for Prix Albert Viel disappointment when excellent 2nd of 7 finishers to MYSTIC SONATO (8) in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Abel Bassigny here 2 weeks ago. Will be more competitive over 2700m and is a serious proposition
Summary: Surprisingly eliminated in the Gr.2 Prix Abel Bassigny a fortnight ago, MAGIC MAN (9) returns to his conditions of choice and looks eminently capable of opening his Gr.2 account. The main danger takes the form of MAITRE JACQUES (10) who made up for his Gr.1 disappointment when runner-up to MYSTIC SONATO (8) 2 weeks ago, and who looks a better bet over this trip. Erratic he may be but MAKE A DREAM (5) has buckets of untapped potential and with application can play an important role.

C3 – PRIX PARISTURF (PRIX DE NEUILLY) – 2850m (a2m) – Class B Race – Harness – EUR € 75,000 - HURRICANE CARTER – Won 2 for 3 before being eliminated in a 2700m Class C here 10 days ago. Nevertheless showed his form and Yoann Lebourgeois will be eager to set the record straight. Player
- HABIT DE SOIREE – Last but one behind HOLD UP DU SAPTEL (4) in a 2700m Class C here 10 days ago and would be preferred across town
- ILAYA – 7th of 13 behind HOLD UP DU SAPTEL (4) in a 2700m Class C here 10 days ago. Has struggled since the winter and can expect to have few friends
- HOLD UP DU SAPTEL – Good, consistent sort that ran 4th of 13 in a 2700m Class C here 10 days ago. Is not about to spring a surprise but can nevertheless play a part
- GREAT TIGRESS – 7th of 13, on first start following a spell, in a 2850m Laval Class D last Sunday. Barefoot this time but is going to need another run
- GRAAL DU TRESOR – Last of 10 behind EROS ZOLA (7) in a 2875m Enghien Class B in late-July, on first start for 6 months. Boasts excellent course-and-distance credentials though and, barefoot for the occasion, must be respected
- EROS ZOLA – In the frame in last 3, including over track and trip, most recently 2nd of 10 in a 2875m Enghien Class B a week ago. Has been knocking at the door and it will not be long before he comes good again. Chance
- TOTO BAROSSO – Eliminated when preparing for this in a 2875m Enghien Class B on 7 August. Dead-heated with COBRA KILLER GAR (10) here earlier in the year and in current form is easy to recommend for a place in the frame
- ESTEBAN JIEL – Back in France after running 5th of 12 over 2300m in Mons earlier this month but still has too much to do
- COBRA KILLER GAR – Classy campaigner that has not put a foot wrong for 18 months. Thrives under these conditions, has clearly been prepared for this, and should be able to wrap it up
Summary: Wonderfully-engaged at the limit of earnings, COBRA KILLER GAR (10) may not have been seen out since May but he is an absolute dynamo at Vincennes and will still take all the beating. Leading the opposition, EROS ZOLA (7) has hardly put a foot wrong this year and is clearly close to winning another. An excellent servant that surprisingly stumbled last time out, HURRICANE CARTER (1) won over track and trip in June and can more than make amends. Barefoot following an Enghien prep earlier in the month, TOTO BAROSSO (8) is unlikely to be far off the mark.

C4 – PRIX ANNICK DREUX-CRITERIUM 3 ANS Q4 – 2700m (a1m1/2) – – Harness – EUR € 130,000 - MARION D’ATOUT – Eliminated in race of reference. Has evident ability but has not done enough to be considered a player
- MIDNIGHT EXPRESS – Eliminated in 16 August race of reference. Would be preferred at a lower level and can be passed over
- MUSCADE LEMAN – Unremarkable filly that finished 8th of 11 in a 2725m Pornichet Class B on 14 August and will have nothing to contribute
- MARILYN MONROE – Runner-up in last 3, latterly a 2875m Enghien Class B 3 weeks ago. Looks a serious sort in the making and must be afforded respect
- MAYA DU SURF – Clear 3rd to MAGIC NIGHT (13) in Prix Reine du Corta, on first start at this level. Will not be sent out at 72/1 this time but will not be as competitive either
- MARILOU – Could finish no closer than 6th of 8 finishers to MAGIC NIGHT (13) in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Reine du Corta here a fortnight back. Not a priority but is not one to be entirely written off either
- MISSANDEI – Made amends for Enghien elimination when fine 4th of 8 finishers in race of reference. A repeat however seems somewhat unlikely
- MIDWAY LADY – Sent for a spell after running 3rd to MILLE ETOILES (14) in Gr.2 Prix Ozo. Eliminated on re-entry in 16 August race of reference but has considerable merit and looks competitively well in
- MADRID HAUFOR – 4th to MILLE ETOILES (14) in Gr.1 Prix Albert Viel before losing her action in Prix Reine du Corta. Form is not in question though and with application should not disappoint
- MY PRINCESS – 7th of 8 finishers to MAGIC NIGHT (13) in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Reine du Corta a fortnight ago. Somewhat disappointing this summer but boasts excellent course-and-distance credentials and cannot be ruled out
- MADEMOISELLE JANE – Starts for first time since running 3rd of 12 in a monte Gr.1 over course and distance in June. Has other priorities and can be passed over
- MORALITY – Got back in the game a fortnight ago when 5th of 8 finishers to MAGIC NIGHT (13) in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Reine du Corta. Is a good finisher though and can again make first 5
- MAGIC NIGHT – Capricious but talented filly that won the Gr.2 Prix Reine du Corta before running 2nd in a valuable Gr.3 over course and distance a week ago. Is evidently a classic filly and with application can again go close
- MILLE ETOILES – 2nd of 8 finishers to MAGIC NIGHT (13) in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Reine du Corta here a fortnight back. Unlikely to have been at peak fitness that day but is plainly close and is unlikely to be bested this time
Summary: Majestic winner of the Gr.1 Prix Albert Viel in June, MILLE ETOILES (14) was just headed by the rather more complicated MAGIC NIGHT (13) in the Gr.2 Prix Reine du Corta a fortnight ago, and JMB will be out to put things right. MADRID HAUFOR (9) was eliminated that day when plainly full of running and will be no easy touch if Damien Bonne keeps her focused. Clearly close to her race, but taking a big step up in class, MARILYN MONROE (4) still looks a danger-in-waiting. MIDWAY LADY (8) will have come on for her return run and should prove competitive.

- KATAKI DE WALLIS – Gave a good account to run 3rd of 13 in a 2950m Saint-Malo Gr.3 on 6 August. Barefoot this time and considering his capacity can make a big splash if applied
- KAMEHAMEHA – Courageous 3rd of 14 in a 2875m Enghien Gr.3 early last month. Shoes fitted this time however and will have few takers
- KING OPERA – 5th of 13 finishers behind KATAKI DE WALLIS (2) in a 2950m Saint-Malo Gr.3 on 6 August. Races shod this time though and a minor place chance at best
- KANTO AVIS – Faces first objective of the summer after finishing last but one to KEEP GOING (6) in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Louis Jariel here a fortnight ago. Thrives, when focused, over the distance and can wrap this up
- KEEP GOING – Returned to winning ways a fortnight ago when successful in 16 August race of reference. Faces a stiffer test this time but can still play a prominent role
- KYT KAT – Starts for first time since running 5th of 10 in a 2850m monte Gr.1 here on 22 June and will have other priorities
- KRACK TIME ATOUT – Fast-finishing 3rd of 11 finishers to KEEP GOING (6) in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Louis Jariel here 2 weeks ago, breaking the 1’10” barrier. Would be preferred barefoot but in current form will be no soft touch
- KANA DE BEYLEV – Returns to racing with pads after finishing 7th in race of reference. Won a Gr.2 under these conditions earlier in the year and has a decent chance of getting in on the action
- KOCTEL DU DAIN – Won an Enghien Gr.2 straight after the spell, followed by running close 2nd of 11 finishers to KEEP GOING (6) in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Louis Jariel here 2 weeks ago. Front pads fitted this time and more a first-5 prospect
Summary: Sent for a short rest after having enjoyed a terrific spring, KANTO AVIS (5) now has a race under his belt, is shod as he was when dominating the Gr.2 Prix Robert Auvray earlier in the year, and is easy to like for the win. He will still have to take on a barefoot and in-form KATAKI DE WALLIS (2) who won a Gr.2 4yo Criterium qualifier this day last year, and KRACK TIME ATOUT (8) who is just preferred to a reconfigured KEEP GOING (6) who had his measure in the Gr.2 Prix Louis Jariel here a fortnight ago.

- LORD DU BASSIN – Going well when eliminated in 16 August race of reference. Is no slouch on a good day and will be no pushover if Alexandre Abrivard keeps him focused
- LORD DU GERS – Superior winner of an Enghien Class A before running 2nd to LIVE TO TELL (5) in race of reference, and it will not be long before he opens his Gr.2 account
- LISSANDRO – 10th of 13 to LIVE TO TELL (5) in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Phaeton here 2 weeks ago. Sports modified shoeing and with application will not be far off the mark
- LIVE TO TELL – Comfortable winner of 2175m Gr.2 Prix Phaeton here a fortnight ago. Has not put a foot wrong all year and while unlikely to pull of the double should still play an active role
- LANCIER DU GOUTIER – Fast-finishing 4th of 13 to LIVE TO TELL (5) in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Phaeton here a fortnight ago. Hails from a yard with impeccable form and is easy to fancy for the win
- LITTLE BROWN – 7th of 13 to LIVE TO TELL (5) in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Phaeton here a fortnight ago and has significantly more to find
- LIGHT MY FIRE – Disappointing 9th of 12 in Prix Phaeton mid-month. Has not been particularly sharp this term and will need to raise his game
- LEARN TO FLY – 3rd of 13 to LIVE TO TELL (5), at 55/1, in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Phaeton here a fortnight ago. Has evident talent but looks out of his depth this time
- LOULOU DE MYE – 9th of 11 behind LANCIER DU GOUTIER (6) in 2875m Gr.3 Prix de Geneve at Enghien on 2 August. No longer the colt he was at 3 and others easier to back
- LOMBOK JIEL – 5th of 13 to LIVE TO TELL (5) in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Phaeton here a fortnight ago. Should be fully fit by now and over 2700m is a tough nut to crack. Chance
Summary: Unbeaten in 3 starts over course and distance, including the Gr.2 Prix Jules Thibault in June, LANCIER DU GOUTIER (6) is shod to preference this time and is very hard to ignore. LOMBOK JIEL (11) is by some margin the richest horse here and after 2 comeback runs will be no soft touch. Runner-up in the Gr.2 Prix Phaeton a fortnight ago, on his first start at this level, LORD DU GERS (3) has the wherewithal to make a big splash. Reconfigured for the occasion, LORD DU BASSIN (2) may be something of a punt, but anything is possible if his stars align.

- GREYSON – Has not been seen out since finishing last of 10 in a 2400m Chateaubriant Class D in early-June and is going to need the race
- GIPSY BOND – Last but one behind FAXIMA (8) in a 2875m Enghien Class D 2.5 weeks ago. Barefoot this time but still not a concern
- GUESS FOUTEAU – 5th of 9 behind HORSE DE GRAMMONT (10) in a 2150m Enghien Class E earlier this month. Champion driver in the bike this time and should prove more competitive
- GENERAL DE CONNEE – 6th of 10, a place behind FAXIMA (8), in a 2875m Enghien Class D 2.5 weeks ago. Has no main-track experience but is well-positioned in front, barefoot, and with David Thomain in the bike
- MAGGIORE (SWE) – Back in France after being eliminated in a 2350m Avenches prep 2 weeks ago. Left a decent impression last time here, is well-positioned in front, and cannot be ruled out
- FIGHTER SIMONI – Returns to France after coming 5th of 10 over 1609m in Tingsryd early last month. Has shown a liking for the main track and with Paul Ploquin reining will be afforded every chance
- FAXIMA – Makes Vincennes debut after finishing decent 5th of 10 in a 2875m Enghien Class D 2.5 weeks ago. Breaks wide but has solid references over these shorter trips and should give an honourable account
- ANOTHER CREATION – Disappointing since returning from a lengthy layoff, latterly 9th of 12 in a 2750m Cabourg Class D 8 days ago, and can be passed over
- HORSE DE GRAMMONT – Should not be too hastily-judged for running 7th of 12 in a 3025m Class H at Montier-en-Der last weekend. Put on quite the show earlier in the month and even from the 2nd row can figure prominently
- ADAMO DIPA – Imposed at Chateaubriant in July before running 4th of 8 in a 2875m Meslay-du-Maine Class E 2 weeks ago. Eye-catching here in June and despite the draw looks the horse to beat
- GARTH VADER – Returns to racing barefoot after finishing last but one in a 2650m Class D conditioner at Les Sables-d’Olonne 3 weeks ago. Pleased under these conditions in June and Alexandre Abrivard reins
- HUNIQUE – Determined winner of a 2725m Pornichet Class F on 14 August. Is confirmed over track and trip and will be dangerous if Anthony Barrier successfully negotiates the start
Summary: Like a horse reborn this summer, ADAMO DIPA (11) returns to conditions he appreciates and despite the draw can still win this. Benjamin Rochard will nonetheless be mindful of recent Pornichet winner HUNIQUE (13) who has not pulled a good number either, and the better-positioned and useful GUESS FOUTEAU (4) who is being reacquainted with Eric Raffin. Excellent at Enghien earlier in the month, HORSE DE GRAMMONT (10) is very much in the picture here.

Will have come on for the race but has never been tried at this level and is unlikely to spring any surprises
- LARA DU GOUTIER – 9th of 12 finishers to LIZA JOSSELYN (11) in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Paul Leguerney here a fortnight ago. Has decent references over track and trip but appears to be taking on too much
- LAUREATE DRY – Eliminated in Prix Paul Leguerney mid-month. Is plainly capable but must first get her house in order
- LOVE LETTER – Finished nicely to run 4th in race of reference. Has never disappointed when barefoot and can again finish in the mix
- LUMINOSITY – 3rd of 12 finishers to LIZA JOSSELYN (11) in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Paul Leguerney here a fortnight ago. Has been knocking at the door this summer and will be expected to figure prominently once again
- LOUVE DE REVE D’OR – Faithful for the most part but finished last of 12, on re-entry, in race of reference. Barefoot this time but cannot be regarded a priority
- LA STAR ROC – Surprise 7th of 12 finishers to LIZA JOSSELYN (11) in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Paul Leguerney here a fortnight ago. Paul Ploquin in the bike again and looks an attractive outside chance
- LUSH LIFE – Beat LUMINOSITY (5) to win a Class B at Enghien in late-July before running 2nd of 12 finishers to LIZA JOSSELYN (11) in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Paul Leguerney here a fortnight ago, and can again make the frame
- LILAS CASTELLE – Pleasant 5th to LIZA JOSSELYN (11) in Prix Paul Leguerney. Less competitively-shod this time though and others preferred
- LONDON – Lost her action at the ascent but produced a superb finish, coming 6th of 12 finishers to LIZA JOSSELYN (11) in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Paul Leguerney here a fortnight ago. On better behaviour can challenge for the win
- LIZA JOSSELYN – Serious filly that made short work of 2175m Gr.2 Prix Paul Leguerney here 2 weeks ago. Is quite simply the leader of her generation and, if behaved, will take all the beating
Summary: Impressive winner of the Gr.2 Prix Paul Leguerney here a fortnight ago, LIZA JOSSELYN (11) can struggle somewhat over 2700m here but she has talent to burn and even though shod, the hat-trick should be hers for the taking. JMB will still be keeping a watchful eye on a reconfigured Gr.1-winning LONDON (10) whose run that day was particularly eye-catching. LUSH LIFE (8) and LUMINOSITY (5) ran 2nd and 3rd on that occasion but Eric Raffin will be hoping to turn the tables.

- MERCEDES STAR – Continued his good form when 5th of 16 in a 2150m Enghien Class F on 23 July and the better draw will only work in his favour. Place chance
- PURE STEEL – Quality nordic import that ran 2nd to an excellent horse in a 2150m Enghien Class D, on his French debut 3 weeks ago. Is clearly better than most here and, with no complications, can win this
- ERES DORIAL MAIL – Opened his French account early this month when dominating a 2150m Enghien Class E. Benjamin Rochard unsurprisingly maintains faith and will be legitimately expecting another big run
- THE LION – Well-beaten 3rd behind PURE STEEL (3) in a 2150m Enghien Class D 3 weeks ago and is not about to shake things up
- EMPIRE AS – Ran 2nd over longer here before finishing last but one in a 2150m Enghien Class C on 12 July. Has had ample time to recalibrate and Nicolas Bazire will be eager to set the record straight
- JAZZMAN – Won 2 of last 3, latterly a 2950m Saint-Malo Class F with ease 2.5 weeks ago. Held his own in both Vincennes starts but still cannot be considered a priority
- ELAND – Surprising 4th of 11 in a 2150m Enghien Class D late last month. David Thomain reining this time but still unlikely to confirm
- DOUTDES – 8th of 16 behind MERCEDES STAR (2) in a 2150m Enghien Class F on 23 July. Has yet to make his mark in France and the draw just compounds matters
- MAN OF STEEL (GER) – Eliminated in a 2150m Enghien Class D 3 weeks ago. On back line this time and will struggle to make his mark
- DUMA NEH D’ASTI – Eliminated in last 2, latterly over 2060m in Villanova d’Albenga last Tuesday. Has placed just once in 4 over track and trip and has little to no chance
- DEMIDOFF CLA – 2nd at Cabourg before being eliminated in a 2950m Saint-Malo Class E on 6 August. Has form in good company here and has never disappointed for Eric Raffin
Summary: Beaten only by Kid Parker who has since gone on to win again, PURE STEEL (3) is well-drawn once again and looks the pick of the field this time. He should nevertheless encounter resistance from the good EMPIRE AS (6) who did not enjoy the best of runs last time out, and ERES DORIAL MAIL (4) who steps up in category after romping across town. Hard to knock at present, MERCEDES STAR (2) makes his first harness start here and with Mathieu Mottier in the bike will be no easy touch.

- LIGHT L’AUDRIELLE – A firm winner in a Claimer over 1600m at Mont-De-Marsan on the 1st of August 2025. He looks to be a progressive sort and takes his first start for his new trainer where the team could follow up
- DREAM IN PINK – Tough 9th in a Claimer over 1600m at Vichy on the 30th of July 2025. Others weigh more attraction
- RANGO – Trying 4th in a Claimer over 1400m at Vichy on the 13th of August 2025. Others preferred in this line-up
- PLUTARQUE – Out of the unraced mare Phenomenologie and if not to green on debut, he could give a decent account of himself
Summary: LIGHT L’AUDRIELLE (4) was a bold winner in his last start and looks to be a progressive individual. He makes his debut for his new yard and he could easily follow up for Jean-Claude Rouget. LE LEGIONNAIRE (1) is making the necessary improvement and looks poised to strike in a small contest like this. KOHAKOU (3) put up a pleasing debut run when running into fifth place and is in the right field to claim a podium position. - LADY GATSBY – Out of the mare My Affair Lady who had 11 starts but did not win a race. This filly will need the educational run

- UNICORN DELAFLEUR – Out of the 3 time winning mare Corny who featured over the 2000m and further. This filly could need the run but will be running on strongly

Summary: PARFOIS (2) put up a solid debut when passing the line first and although being in front, she was demoted due to a steward enquiry. She is however confidently selected to redeem herself. ROMAN LADY (1) has been second in command in her last three starts and has the urge to break the maiden shackles off her hooves and could do so here. Supplemented LA ALMADIA (4) has made the natural improvement into third in her last run and could continue a similar trend in this field. YAGGERA (5) can make a big splash if she repeats her last start.
