R1 VINCENNES [L-H]
C1 – PRIX ADELINDA – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 59,000
- IDYLLE DU PERSIL – Has not been seen out since finishing last of 8 in a 2700m Class C here last December. Goes barefoot with Mathieu Mottier in the wagon, but others still preferred
- JASMINE DE VAU – Returns to a hard surface after winning a 3450m Agon-Coutainville Class E early last month. Unlikely to repeat but breaking from the 2-spot, with Franck Nivard reining, is unlikely to be far off the mark
- IDEAL DE JEAN – Showed improvement when 6th of 12 in a 2850m Class D here on 20 August. Has form at the venue and from the 3-spot can give this a good go. First 5
- JIBI DU FRUITIER – Left a good impression when 3rd of 9 in a 2150m Enghien Class B on 7 August. Acquits himself competitively for the most part and from the 4-spot can make a big impact
- HIPPOCRATE DU TRIO – Last of 12 in a 2775m Class E at Les Sables-d’Olonne a fortnight back. Shoes on again and has no realistic chance
- JAPAROV LIRE – 5th of 15 in a 2750m Cabourg Class D a week ago. Conditions very much in his favour here and is not about to disappoint. Place chance
- JOKER DES CHALIERS – Quality element that was eliminated when prepping for this in a 3150m Class E at La Roche-Posay on 10 August. Should be fully-fit by now and from the front line can prevail
- HELIOS DES CHAMPS – 10th of 12 behind IDEAL DE JEAN (3) in a 2850m Class D here on 20 August. Completely out of the picture all year and can be ignored
- HUGO DU BOURG – 8th of 12 behind IDEAL DE JEAN (3) in a 2850m Class D here on 20 August. Is not devoid of ability but reliability not his strong suit and a minor place chance at best
- JALIMEDE – Honest sort that came 5th of 10 in a 2925m Cagnes Class A 2 weeks ago. Will appreciate the drop in trip but the draw does him no favours
- IRIS FARCEUSE – 5th of 14, on first start for 3 months, in a 2700m Class D here 3 weeks ago. Is sure to have progressed and even from the back line will have a good hand to play
- JIGSAW PUZZLE – Got back in the game in a 2800m Auch Class A late last month when 2nd of 17. A repeat however seems most improbable
Summary: A fine servant with nothing to prove under these conditions, JOKER DES CHALIERS (7) has two return runs in him, will be barefoot for his first objective of the autumn, and looks marginally preferable to the better-positioned JIBI DU FRUITIER (4) who left a very good impression at Enghien a month ago. JAPAROV LIRE (6) would have finished closer at Cabourg had he not faulted and will be barefoot with Eric Raffin in the bike this time. IRIS FARCEUSE (11) will have come on for her fine re-entry run and in spite of the draw must be considered a player.

C2 – PRIX BAPTISTINA – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 41,000 - JUEN EMONDEVILLE – Pleasantly surprising 2nd of 16 in a 2450m Class E at Agon-Coutainville early last month. Hind shoes off but still has little to contribute
- JET NONANTAIS – Won a 2750m Cabourg Class E 3 weeks ago. Is confirmed over course and distance and will be competitive for a step on the podium
- JULLOU – Twice 3rd before running 4th of 12 in a 2800m Vire Class E on Monday. Has never delivered under harness at Vincennes but is competitively shod and should not be ruled out
- JACKPOT D’ORGUEIL – 2nd of 13 in a 2100m amateurs Class F here a fortnight ago. Hind shoes off, with Mathieu Mottier in the bike, and must be respected
- JUST DU CHATELET – Quality element that ran 4th of 13, a place behind JILIKA DU MESLE (6), in a 2550m Cherbourg Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Is seldom seen left-handed but under these conditions looks a serious proposition
- JILIKA DU MESLE – Imposed at Pornichet before running 3rd of 13 when preparing for this in a 2550m Cherbourg Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Shoes off this time and, reunited with Guillaume Martin, will be no pushover
- JEANNOT BUISSONAY – Never dangerous 6th of 13 behind JILIKA DU MESLE (6) in a 2550m Cherbourg Class F 2.5 weeks ago and is not about to create an upset
- JOIE D’AMOUR – Respectable 5th of 12 behind JUST BUILT (12) in a 2725m Cabourg Class E a month ago but is still taking on too much
- JAGGER DANICA – Last of 8 in 18 August race of reference. Has won 2 of 3 in the day’s configuration but is being aimed far too high this time
- JASON DU PERRON – Serious type making first start since running 6th of 14 in a 2650m Class E at Les Sables-d’Olonne on 9 July. Barefoot for the occasion and is in with a realistic shout of imposing
- JAZZY FLIGNY – Last but one in a 2875m Argentan monte Class E on 9 August. Eric Raffin reining this time but still not an obvious choice
- JUST BUILT – Hard to knock since the spring, latterly 2nd of 12 in a 2725m Cabourg Class E a month ago. Has references at the venue but cannot be considered a priority
- JADE D’ERABLE – Surprisingly below-par 7th of 13 behind JILIKA DU MESLE (6) in a 2550m Cherbourg Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Is no slouch when barefoot but may just be taking on too much
- JIANFRANCO – Below-par 7th of 12 in a 2775m Class E at Les Sables-d’Olonne a fortnight ago. Enjoys a good entry and with Gabriele Gelormini in the bike will be afforded every chance
- JEALOUS GIRL – Won an amateur event across town before running 4th of 14 in a 2100m Class E here late last month. Has never delivered over 2700m here but is barefoot this time and with application can put on a decent showing
Summary: Given a short spell after failing to place at Les Sables-d’Olonne in early-July, JASON DU PERRON (10) returns to a track he likes and has every chance of getting straight back down to business. Barefoot following a most encouraging prep, JUST DU CHATELET (5) will be reined by Alexandre Abrivard for the first time, and looks the main threat. Arguably better racing clockwise, JET NONANTAIS (2) is nonetheless in excellent shape and must be taken seriously. JIANFRANCO (14) failed to confirm his form last time but, reconfigured for the occasion, must not be too hastily-judged.

C3 – PRIX KLYMENE – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 40,000 - LILAS D’ECHAL – Quickly eliminated in a 2600m Class E at Le Mont-Saint-Michel on 17 August. Has form here and will be no easy touch if Eric Raffin gets her off on the right foot
- LOLITA DE LA BUTTE – Has done nothing but improve lately, most recently 3rd of 13 in a 2650m Pornichet Class E a fortnight ago. Is confirmed over course and distance and a first-5 cheque is well within her capacity
- LOVELY GODIVA – Pleasant 4th at Enghien before running 8th of 16 in a 2700m Class D at La Capelle 10 days ago. Hails from a yard firing on all cylinders and it could be considered foolhardy to ignore her
- LILY ROSE MYSTIC – Failed to confirm La Capelle victory when quickly eliminated in a 2050m Cabourg Class D 2 weeks ago. Has yet to deliver over the main track and others easier to back
- LUCIA DE BUSSET – Flopped across town before being eliminated in a 2100m Class D here on 23 August and must first get her house in order
- LIANGA – Last of 9 in 23 August race of reference and at this level has no possible chance
- LORETTE – Imposed at La Rochelle before running 2nd of 8 in a 2775m Class E at Les Sables-d’Olonne early last week. Is new to the venue but will still be expected to give LOLITA (9) a run for her money
- LAURENE DE BAILLY – Should not be too hastily-judged for running 7th of 9 in a 2100m Class D here 2 weeks ago. Has form with his driver and must be taken seriously
- LOLITA – Somewhat uneasy on comeback, running 6th of 9 in a 2100m Class D here a fortnight ago, but has the best credentials of the bunch and Benjamin Rochard will be expecting her to demonstrate why
- LOUISIANA DU DERBY – Got back in the winners’ circle at Rochefort-sur-Loire before being quickly eliminated in a 2875m Enghien Class D 3 weeks ago. Is nicely engaged but others still preferred
Summary: A classy future prospect, LOLITA (9) tackles 2700m of the main track for the first time and, after a respectable return run here, can expect the lion’s share of support. Benjamin Rochard will still be mindful of the ultra-consistent LORETTE (7) who will be expected to play a leading role, and the tricky LILAS D’ECHAL (1) who benefits from the engagement of the champion driver. LAURENE DE BAILLY (8) is reunited with Matthieu Abrivard and would not be here without a decent chance of getting in on the action.

C4 – PRIX BRUNA – 2850m (a2m) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 46,000 - KING LOOK – Serious trotter but has not been seen out since finishing unplaced in a 2700m Class D here last February and will not be given a hard race
- KANEM – Failed to confirm good July performance when 10th of 14 in a 2700m Class D at La Capelle 10 days ago, and would be preferred with hind shoes off
- KOUROUX – Returns to running barefoot after coming 4th of 11 to KAZAN BEACH (8) in a 2625m Cherbourg Class E 2.5 weeks ago. In better company this time and a repeat seems unlikely
- KRUGER DU NORD – Took little time returning to triumphant ways, most recently landing a 2675m Class E at Divonne-les-Bains on 11 August. Paul Ploquin stays faithful and can be quietly confident of a competent performance
- KROSS FINGERS – Useful element that ran 5th of 8 finishers in a 2875m Enghien Class D on 2 August. Races shod this time around and best to wait
- KILLER MESLOIS – Encountered no opposition en route to victory in a 2850m Feurs Class C on 18 July. Has been afforded ample time to prepare for this and with his mind on the job should bring home the bacon once more
- KIF DU BIEF – Has looked very ordinary of late, most recently 6th of 11 finishers in a 3150m Abbeville Class E on 17 August, and will need to raise his game
- KAZAN BEACH – Comfortable winner of a 2625m Cherbourg Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Is unbeaten when barefoot and, successful last time here, looks a serious proposition
- KAZAAL – Starts for the first time since running 2nd of 11 in a 2200m Le Mans Class D mid-July. Has freshness on his side and will be no easy touch if he takes to the new profile
- KONCORD DELO – Makes first appearance since being eliminated in a monte Gr.1 over course and distance on 22 June. Will have been specifically prepared for this, has been re-shod, and with application can finish in the mix
- KENDRICK – Returned to winning ways, and posted his fastest time, when securing a 1609m Argentan Class E on 9 August. Went close last time under these conditions and must be considered a player
- KISS WOOD – 5th of 10 in a 2750m Class D at La Capelle on 21 July. Not as sharp as he was last year and is unlikely to influence the result
- KAROLINE CALINE – Showed her form despite being eliminated in a 2675m Class E at Le Mont-Saint-Michel on 17 August. Runs barefoot this time, with Matthieu Abrivard in the bike, is confirmed here, and cannot be ruled out
- KNOK – Honest sort that ran 5th of 10 in a 2675m Class E at Le Mont-Saint-Michel on 17 August. Should acquit himself honourably but is not about to spice things up
- KACEY BELL – Ran 4th at Enghien before coming an unthreatening 3rd of 12 in a 2750m Cabourg Class D on 1 August. Reconfigured for the occasion but still represents no more than a minor place prospect
- KASSIOPEIA – Made up for Enghien disappointment when comfortably winning a 2950m Vichy Class C on 2 August. Is just 300 Euros from elimination and is easy to fancy for a place in the frame
Summary: Easy winner of his first objective of the new season, KILLER MESLOIS (6) runs barefoot as he was when victorious here in 2024 and in similar shape can confirm. Pierre Belloche will still be keeping a keen eye on KAZAN BEACH (8) who showed at Cherbourg recently that he is at the top of his game, and Vincennes debutant KAZAAL (9) who has been simply superb this year. Benefitting from a terrific entry, KASSIOPEIA (16) is clearly in top form and has been reconfigured for her main-track bow. KENDRICK (11) is plainly back on the right road, has references here, and must be taken seriously.

C5 – PRIX CAMILLE DE WAZIERES – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Gr2 Race – Mounted – EUR € 120,000 - LASKA DU LEVANT – Back in the discipline after being eliminated in a 2700m harness Class C here on 20 August. Pads fitted for first time but others still preferred
- LAMBADA DU GOUTIER – Eliminated in 6 this year before running 3rd of 7 in a 2250m Enghien Class C in late-July. Not a priority but with some luck in running could get a look in
- LIBERTE DU GOUTIER – Made short work of a 2875m Enghien Class D early last month, on her first monte run. Has more to find here but still looks competitive for a place in the frame
- LAPIS LAZULI – Makes monte debut after finishing last of 12, a place behind L’ECRIN D’OR (5), in a harness Gr.2 over 2175m here 3 weeks ago. Is competitively-shod, with Damien Bonne in the irons, and should not be written off
- L’ECRIN D’OR – Authoritative winner of 2850m Gr.1 Prix du Président de la République in June before finishing last but one on re-entry in a harness Gr.2 over 2175m here 3 weeks ago. Is the class act here and will be hard to oppose
- LIONHEART – Starts for the first time since running 3rd of 17 to L’ECRIN D’OR (5) in 2850m Gr.1 Prix du Président de la République on 22 June. Reverts to a previous formula and can challenge for a place in the frame
- LOVISSIME – Showed serious aptitude last winter but disappointing over the summer, latterly 6th of 8 in a 2140m conditioner in Romme 11 days ago. Will first need to re-establish her credentials
- LISBONNE DRY – Serious filly that ran good 2nd of 9 in a 2175m Gr.3 here 3 weeks ago. Has a shoeing advantage over L’ECRIN D’OR (5) and Paul Ploquin will be expecting her to finish closer than she did in the Prix du Président
Summary: He may have been somewhat late coming to the monte code but L’ECRIN D’OR (5) is simply grace in motion and even though sporting shoes will still take all the beating. Runner-up to him in the Gr.1 Prix du Président before coming 2nd to 5yo Keengame in a Gr.3 here mid-August, it is easy to make a case for a barefoot LISBONNE DRY (8). Remarkable winner across town on her monte bow, LIBERTE DU GOUTIER (3) steps up in category but Mathieu Mottier can still be confident of a big run.

C6 – PRIX BELISANA – 2175m (a1m1/4) – Class C Race – Harness – EUR € 46,000 - LAGO DE PERVENCHE – Facile winner of a 2875m Enghien Class D on 13 August. Here for reasons of conditioning though and best to hold off
- LOULOU DES OUBEAUX – Ran 3rd at Les Sables-d’Olonne before coming 5th of 13 to LIVANTO KALOUMA (8) in a 2050m Cabourg Class D 3 weeks ago. Goes barefoot as he was when 2nd over track and trip earlier in the year and must not be overlooked
- LOTUS GRIFF – Disappointing when eliminated in a 2050m Cabourg Class D 3 weeks ago. Ran 2nd under these conditions earlier in the year and will be reined by Alexandre Abrivard this time
- LEADER MESLOIS – Won a 2700m Class C on comeback here 11 days ago, pulling off the hat-trick. Tackles 2175m for the first time barefoot and can wrap this up
- LEONARDO DE LOU – 2nd of 12 to LIVANTO KALOUMA (8) in a 2250m Enghien monte Class C on 19 July. Comes here fresh but will have other ambitions
- LOVE AND SUN – Starts for first time since being eliminated in a Gr.2 over course and distance in late-May. Has other priorities and can be dismissed
- LE CASHMAKER – 3rd of 10 in a 2875m Enghien Class C on 7 August. Is like the gift that keeps on giving and has a lot to contribute. Chance
- LIVANTO KALOUMA – Imposed at Enghien under the saddle before confirming in a 2050m Cabourg Class D 3 weeks ago. Takes on a better bunch this time but still looks a major player
- LOBBING DE BLARY – Tenacious winner of a 2600m Cherbourg Class B 2.5 weeks ago. Has placed under these conditions and is not going to be far from the action
Summary: Like a horse reborn since starting to race barefoot, LEADER MESLOIS (4) picked up on re-entry here recently where he left off in the winter, and is going to take all the beating. Opposition will take the form of the excellent LE CASHMAKER (7) who races barefoot for the first time, and the hat-trick-seeking LIVANTO KALOUMA (8) for whom Thierry Duvaldestin appears to have found the key. Back in the winners’ enclosure on his first start following a short rest, LOBBING DE BLARY (9) benefits from a good entry and Robin Lamy is unlikely to let the opportunity pass him by.

C7 – PRIX INO – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 35,000 - MA JOLIE JIEL – Disappointingly eliminated in a 3025m Class E at Montier-en-Der late last month. Has little going for her here and can be passed over
- MAGGY PAULO – Eliminated in last 2, most recently a 2200m Strasbourg Class E last week. Handed a good draw but others still easier to trust
- MANDARINA DE LOU – Back racing left-handed following 3 clockwise eliminations, most recently a 2725m Cabourg Class E on 12 August. Is clearly capable and Alexandre Abrivard will be eager to get her back on track
- MARIE BASHKIRTSEFF – Placed in 3 before finishing last of 12 in a 2150m Enghien Class E in late-July. Should take well to Vincennes conditions and Matthieu Abrivard gets the nod. Chance
- MARQUISE DES ARRIS – Eliminated as often as not, latterly a 2050m Cabourg Class E 10 days ago. Has bags of ability though and has been entrusted to Mathieu Mottier for the first time. First 5
- MILADY BEAUTY – Got off the mark at La Ferte-Vidame before being eliminated in a 2750m Cabourg Class D 2.5 weeks ago. Showed her form that day though and is sufficiently well-placed to give this a good go
- MASAI MARA – Failed to deliver at Enghien before being eliminated in a 2050m Cabourg Class E 10 days ago. Is patently talented though and given a chance will prove the point
- MAITIKA DE PEBRISY – Close 2nd of 12 in a 2725m Pornichet Class E a fortnight ago. Not ideally-drawn but has been knocking at the door and it will not be long before she loses her maiden tag
- MILADY OF PARIS – Excellent 4th of 15 in a 2550m Cherbourg Class E 2.5 weeks ago, on first start for almost 3 months. Forced to break wide but will have come on for the race and can impose this time
- MOUNE VERDERIE – Unplaced at Enghien before finishing last of 13 in a 2700m Class E at La Capelle 10 days ago, and is not about to generate much interest
- MELROSE DES VAUX – 5th of 12 on re-entry in a 2200m Agon-Coutainville Class F on 17 August. Will have progressed but still seems to be taking on too much
- MALICIA DU ROCHER – Unremarkable filly that was eliminated in a 2725m Graignes Class E last weekend and can be confidently disregarded
Summary: A number in the running here but it is difficult to ignore how well MILADY OF PARIS (9) comported herself on her recent comeback, and despite the wide draw still has the wherewithal to wrap this up. Considerably better than her Enghien result would suggest, and nicely placed behind the car, MARIE BASHKIRTSEFF (4) will be expected to bounce back. MAITIKA DE PEBRISY (8) has been handed a tough draw but she is close to her race and makes her Vincennes debut with a lot to contribute. Back racing left-handed after faulting at Cabourg, MILADY BEAUTY (6) is not to be underestimated.

- HAVRE DE PAIX – Has not been seen out since being eliminated in a Class E over 2175m here in late-December. Barefoot for comeback but still not an obvious choice
- HARRY DU LYS – Fine campaigner that was preparing for this when last of 12 in a 2750m harness Class E at La Capelle 10 days ago. Shoes off this time and returns to the capital with a decent chance of picking up some prizemoney
- IRINA DU RIS – Imposed at Laval and Pornichet before coming 3rd of 8 in a 2250m Enghien Class E 3 weeks ago. Seldom disappoints in current configuration and will be expected to contest the finish
- INDIGO BEACH – Won 2 of 3 before running 3rd of 9 in a 2875m Meslay-du-Maine Class E in late-July. Should appreciate the short track profile and in current condition is easy to like for a place on the podium
- HATE YOU BEYLEV – Last of 12 when prepping for this in a 2700m harness Class D here on 16 August. Has taken his game to a new level over recent months and winning this would be no surprise
- I LOVE D’AMOUR – Continued his productive ways when 4th of 11 in a 2550m Class D at Beaumont-de-Lomagne on 24 August. Is unlikely to get his nose in front but is unlikely to go home empty-handed either
- ISSIA DE CHARLY – Debuts in the discipline after having finished 6th of 7 in a 2800m Strasbourg harness Class E last week and is unlikely to have many friends
Summary: Back in his code of preference after a conditioner here mid-August, HATE YOU BEYLEV (6) has no references over the inner track but is still easy to fancy for the win. He will still encounter resistance from IRINA DU RIS (4) who has a particular liking for these conditions. Aged 7 and still untried at Vincennes, INDIGO BEACH (5) has nevertheless excelled over the summer months and sports modified shoeing.

Summary: A very competitive lucky last race. QUEEN SISTER (6) has been consistent so far and is coming off a solid campaign last year. She now makes her chase debut. ELEKTRIX (5) always gives her best, so it is a bit of a surprise that she is only making her chase debut now. LIZZY DU QUARTIER (4) has also been kept to hurdles so far and looks the type who will appreciate the larger obstacles. GINO’S LINE (3) has chase experience and is at the top of her game, so will not go down easily.
