Summary: VARDIF (1) enters this as a bit of an unknown quantity. NIGHTTIME (4) brings arguably the best form to the table having tasted success in a Listed race and naturally the next step is into a Group 3. He is the one to beat. KOMOREBI (2) drops back in trip for this assignment but has done nothing wrong and will mount a strong bid. KENZEL(3) needs to be forgiven for his latest effort and is far from out of it. Summary: LABELLED WITH LOVE (9) produced a good debut at Chantilly in February and sets a decent standard if fit after a break. AVANT NOUS (14) is better than what she showed at Vichy; she is fit and should be right there at the finish. KIMBIA (10) has not been reliable of late but would not be a surprise winner. KUPKA (1) should improve on a fair debut and can get into the thick of things this time around.

C1 – PRIX ICI PICARDIE – 2150m (a1m1/4) – Class G Amateur Drivers Race – Harness – EUR € 6,000
- ICIANO – Returns to the category after running 4th of 9 in a 3050m Montier-en-Der monte Class F 11 days ago. Springs the occasional surprise but cannot be considered a priority this time around
- ICARE DU DOUET – Returns to the amateur category after being eliminated in a 2700m Graignes Class F last Saturday. Decently-positioned in front but still no more than a minor place prospect
- GOLDEN SQUARE – Imposed at les Sables-d’Olonne before finishing a lacklustre 7th of 12 in a 2725m Pornichet amateurs Class G on 7 August. Should not be too hastily-judged though, is confirmed here and can be brought back into the fold. Chance
- HIBISCUS D’ANGELY – Showed improvement when 4th of 15 in a 2525m Les Andelys claimer late-August but can expect to struggle on this occasion
- HARLEY DE JANEIRO – 9th of 12 in a 2525m amateurs Class H at Les Andelys in late-August. Disappointing for some time and can be ruled out
- GYPSIE MAGIQUE – Placed in 2 before coming 5th of 11 behind HERMINE SIMARDIERE (10) in a 2725m Graignes amateurs Class G late last month. Is clearly better than that, starts in front, and can again make first 5
- IBRA DE LOU – Good 4th of 11 in a 2850m Vincennes amateurs Class F a fortnight ago. Has never delivered at Mauquenchy but at this level can make this his own
- ISBA DU DOME – 4th of 11 behind HERMINE SIMARDIERE (10) in a 2725m Graignes amateurs Class G late last month. Is competitive at this level, has placed under these conditions, and with some luck in running can trot her way onto the podium
- HECTOR DE CORDAY – Makes first appearance since finishing 7th of 9 in a 2600m Nancy Class F in late-June and has no possible chance
- HERMINE SIMARDIERE – 10th of 12 when prepping for this in a 2550m amateurs Class H at Gournay-en-Bray last Sunday. Has otherwise been showing her form but takes on too much here
- GIORGIO DU VIVIER – Won 2 of last 3, most recently clinching a 1800m amateurs Class G at La Capelle last week, and in spite of a tough draw still looks good enough to finish close
- GRACIA MARIA – Returns to the amateur division after losing her action over 2650m in Tongres on 22 July. Is reunited with Sébastien Laboutique who ran 3rd with her at Reims and, shod to preference, can figure prominently
Summary: IBRA DE LOU (7) has shown excellent aptitude for the amateur division, takes on a less-exalted bunch this time, races barefoot, and even though drawn wide still looks the one to beat. Winner at Les Sables-d’Olonne in July, GOLDEN SQUARE (3) is better-placed on the front line and can make up for his Pornichet mishap. GIORGIO DU VIVIER (11) has been excelling at this level over recent weeks and although handed an unfavourable draw, still looks competitively well in. ISBA DU DOME (8) has been showing her form recently and is unlikely to be far off the mark.

C2 – PRIX LE CAFE DES VOYAGEURS DE DIEPPE – 2150m (a1m1/4) – Class E Amateur Riders Race – Harness – EUR € 21,000 - JADESKA – Eliminated in a 2450m Caen Class F last week. Starts on the inside and is not about to shake things up
- JOKER CASTILUANNE – Oddly below-par 10th of 16 behind JAPPELOU (4) in a 2750m Cabourg Class E on 25 July. Has been knocking at the door for much of the year though and must be considered a player
- JEMILLIA BELLA – 6th of 12 finishers in a 2450m Caen Class F a week ago. Placed nicely behind the car but would have better prospects a level down
- JAPPELOU – 3rd at Royan a month back then 3rd of 10 in a 2675m Class E at Le Mont-Saint-Michel a week later. Is clearly close to his race and looks the pick of the field
- JACO LE GRAND – Winner of last 2, latterly courageously securing an 1800m Class F at La Capelle last week, and will be competitive for the hat-trick
- JARVIS – Won 2 of 3 before finishing last but one in a 3025m Montier-en-Der Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Did not enjoy the best of trips that day and will be expected to make amends. Place chance
- JACOBSON – Superb winner of a 2800m Bernay Class F 11 days ago. Not the easiest of horses to handle but starts wide here and with application could well double his money
- JOYCE DREAM – Got back in the game late last month when 2nd of 13 in a 2725m Pornichet Class F. Has not pulled the best of draws but in similar form could pick up another cheque
- JULIUS D’ALCI – 7th of 10 in a 2600m Berck-sur-Mer Class F mid-August. Has placed just once in last 9 and can be passed over
- JOA DE LA LOUTRIE – Respectable 5th of 13 in a 3450m Agon amateurs Class H late last month but in this category will have nothing to contribute
Summary: He struggled somewhat earlier in the summer but JAPPELOU (4) is quite plainly back on track and looks a marginally better choice than the more widely-placed, and reconfigured, JACOBSON (7) who stayed focused just long enough to impose at Bernay late last month. JACO LE GRAND (5) took no time getting back in the winners’ enclosure following a lengthy break and is sufficiently well-positioned to secure the hat-trick. Dynamic this year, JARVIS (6) should not be too hastily-judged for his latest effort and has every chance of getting back to his competitive ways.

- LOUNA FIX – Late developer that was eliminated on debut before running 6th of 16 in a 2600m harness Class F at Le Touquet late last month, and debuts in the code with limited aspirations
- LOOKING SMART – Eliminated in last 3, latterly a 2450m Caen Class F a week ago, and has no possible chance
- LABEL PIYA – Sanctioned more often than not, most recently a 2850m Laval Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Has bags of talent and can play a leading role if he takes to the new discipline
- LOVE DE BEAULIEU – Very disappointing since the spring, most recently eliminated in a 2500m Reims harness Class F late last month, and returns to the code with little to offer
- LUIDGI DES EPINES – Eliminated in 4 of last 5, latterly a 2550m Gournay-en-Bray Class F last Sunday, and others easier to trust
- LA STORIA – Ran 2nd of 8 finishers to LISA DU HEURT (14) in a 2700m Graignes Class F late last month and could well win this time if Antonin Andre assures her initial strides
- LOUISON DE FORGAN – 3rd under the saddle at Rochefort-sur-Loire before finishing last but one when prepping for this in a 2650m Pornichet harness Class E 3 weeks ago. Boasts a fine monte record and should be good enough to pick up another cheque
- LYNX DU LUPIN – Returns to a more reasonable level after finishing last of 9, a place behind LEGATO (13), in a 2200m Vincennes Class E 10 days ago. Always gives his best and in this company can fill a minor placing
- LAURA – No slouch when focused but disappointingly eliminated in a 2400m Amiens Class E on 19 July. Comes here fresh but others still easier to back
- LAZIE PONT VAUTIER – Eliminated in a 2200m Vincennes Class E on 2 September. Can trot but looks out of her depth here
- LOUMA DE MALOU – Reassuring but unexceptional 5th of 8 in a 2625m Cherbourg Class E 3.5 weeks ago. Unshod behind for the first time though and with application could pleasantly surprise
- LEGATO – Out of the picture in last 3, most recently 8th of 9 in a 2200m Vincennes Class E 10 days ago, and is unlikely to spice things up
- LISA DU HEURT – Opened her monte account in a 2700m Graignes Class F late last month, holding off LA STORIA (7) by the smallest of margins. Should take well to Mauquenchy conditions and can challenge for a place in the frame
- LOLITA DU MIREL – Returns to racing shod after running 7th of 11 finishers in a 2200m Vincennes Class E on 2 September. Nicely engaged here and has a reasonable chance of picking up some prizemoney
Summary: Although never far from faulting, LA STORIA (7) ran a close 2nd of 8 finishers in a 2700m Graignes Class F late last month and can impose if she gets off on the right foot this time. Winner that day, LISA DU HEURT (14) should again figure prominently despite being shod, but may first have to see off the complicated LABEL PIYA (4) who is due a good break one of these days. LOUISON DE FORGAN (8) is back under the saddle after prepping under harness and even with shoes fitted is unlikely to disappoint.

- MIROS – Failed to confirm previous 2 results when 6th of 9 in a 2100m Vincennes Class E last week. Enjoys a better draw here and Franck Nivard reins this time. Chance
- MOZART LA LONDE – Good 3rd at Argentan before finishing 6th of 9 in a 2800m Vire Class E 10 days ago. Pleased on solitary left-handed start and if he turns could well get that maiden monkey off his back
- MYROS DE PALMA AR – 6th of 13, despite missing the break, in a 2700m Class E at La Capelle on 26 August. Is confirmed here and from the 4-spot can make a big impact
- MILADY WIND – Given a break after finishing last but one in a 2150m Enghien Class D in April. Has bags of ability but is going to need the run
- MIRADOR PLANCHETTE – Produced a pair of good efforts at Cabourg prior to faulting in a 2100m Vincennes Class E earlier this month. Has no left-handed credentials but will be no easy touch if he takes to the new conditions
- MISS WILLIAMS – Opened her 2025 account at Gournay-en-Bray in late-July but failed to confirm when 10th of 13 behind MYROS DE PALMA AR (4) in a 2700m Class E at La Capelle on 26 August, and can be passed over
- MISS JENILOU – 8th of 13 behind MYROS DE PALMA AR (4) in a 2700m Class E at La Capelle on 26 August. Disappointing on the whole this year and chances limited
- MANZANA – 8th of 9 finishers, on first start back, in a 2600m Class F at Le Touquet in late-August. Will have progressed for the run and even though handed a tough number, can still play a small role

- MONEY DI MALAVITA – Has not raced since finishing last of 8 in a 2850m Vincennes Class D on 17 June and is not about to create an upset
- MAESTRO DES CLAIRS – Ran 3rd at Montier-en-Der but failed to repeat when last but one in a 2750m Class F at La Ferte-Vidame 2.5 weeks ago and will struggle to make his presence felt
- MERRY STAR – Eliminated in a 2100m Class F at Lyon-Parilly last week. Caught the eye at Divonne last month though and despite the draw can still get in on the action
- MARGOTIN – 12th of 13 behind MYROS DE PALMA AR (4) in a 2700m Class E at La Capelle on 26 August and has no realistic chance
Summary: In the frame twice before failing to deliver at Vire, MOZART LA LONDE (3) finds himself ideally-placed behind the car here and can set the record straight. Martial Gilard will be justifiably wary though of MIRADOR PLANCHETTE (6) who should not he condemned for his recent Vincennes fault, and MYROS DE PALMA AR (4) who ran 3rd here early last month. MIROS (2) was not the most impressive on that occasion but is patently in shape and should find the Mauquenchy profile more to his liking.

- LYRA DU METZ – Sprang a 20/1 surprise when 2nd of 8 finishers in a 2600m Divonne-les-Bains Class E 3 weeks ago. Similarly configured here and looks competitive for a top-5 placing
- LUCKY BOY VERTRAC – Drops to a more suitable level after running respectable 5th of 11 in a 2875m Enghien Class D a month ago, and looks main danger to LA MISS ROYALE (16)
- LA MISS ROYALE – Won over course and distance in late-July before running 4th of 10 in a 2100m Vincennes Class D on 23 August. Has a lot going her way here and, given the stable’s form, looks the winner-in-waiting
Summary: The back row holds the key to this event with the terrifically-engaged LA MISS ROYALE (16) returning to racing with front pads in a bid to confirm July’s victory here. She will still come under pressure from the similarly well-entered LUCKY BOY VERTRAC (15) who drops back to a more reasonable level. Better than her latest results would suggest, LEFFE DU BRISSE (6) is 25m better off and will be dangerous if she turns. LOVE ME DE DUSSAC (10) got back in the game late last month and benefits from a front-row start this time around.

C6 – PRIX ICI NORMANDIE – 2850m (a2m) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 24,000 - KOPIAD – 6th of 9 in a 2800m Strasbourg Class E 2 weeks ago. Is no slouch under harness but on this occasion will have limited chances
- KAPRICE DE CHANJAC – Eliminated in last 2, latterly a 2875m Enghien Class E on 13 August, and can be confidently disregarded
- KARMA DE RHEVE – Faces the toughest test of his career after running 4th of 12 in a 2600m Class F at Berck-sur-Mer a month ago but is simply not up to the task
- KAPRIUS DE PLAY – Valiant 4th of 13 in a Class F over course and distance early last month. Less competitively shod this time and others preferred
- KAPORAL WINNER – 4th of 7 finishers in a 2750m Class F at La Ferte Vidame 2.5 weeks ago. Front shoes off this time but at this level will have too much to do
- KOCARDE – Solid in last 2, latterly 4th of 7 in a 2650m Class F at Les Sables-d’Olonne a fortnight ago. Cannot be considered a priority but breaks in front and with application can pick up some prizemoney
- KING DE LA COTE – Unremarkable sort that was eliminated in a 2700m Class F at La Capelle last week and is not about to spring any surprises
- KRUNCH FOR MONEY – 13th of 15 in a 3175m Class F at La Roche-Posay on 23 August. Reliability not his strong suit but is clearly in form and from the front line can play a major part
- KHOR SAINT AUBIN – Unraced since finishing 10th of 13 in a 2875m Argentan Class F last January and even from the front row will have nothing to offer
- KANKAL – Has not been seen out since finishing 9th of 16 in a 2875m Enghien Class D in late-May and is going to need the race
- KADO SURPRISE – Has hardly put a foot wrong all year, latterly winning a 2725m Pornichet Class F on 14 August, and is thoroughly capable of getting his nose in front
- KUNZITE D’EM – Has not been seen out since coming 2nd of 15 in a Class E under these conditions in early-June. Barefoot for comeback but others still preferred
- KAVANI – Unremarkable 6th here before running 5th of 14 in a 2700m Vincennes Class E on 23 August. Forced to incur the penalty but cannot be ruled out
- KULTA – Lacklustre 9th of 11 in a 2875m Enghien Class D 2 months ago. Has had time to recalibrate but still looks out of her depth
- KAIROS DE BOMO – 6th of 13, on return to competition, in a 2650m Pornichet Class E 3 weeks ago. Will have come on for the race and, shod to preference, can play a prominent role
- KING AULNAIES – Eliminated in a 2900m Dozule Class E 3 weeks ago. Has previously won under these conditions and with his mind on the game will be no pushover
- KELOWA STARDUST – Ran 3rd at Divonne-les-Bains before losing her action in a 2800m Strasbourg Class E 2 weeks ago. Won in the day’s configuration at La Capelle in June and with application will not be far off the mark
- KAID FORTUNA – Ran 3rd at La Rochelle before coming 5th of 9 in a 2150m Enghien Class D a month back. Enjoys a fine entry and in current form is easy to like for the win
Summary: A relatively open affair this, but it is difficult to ignore KAID FORTUNA (18) who, despite never having delivered here, seems to be right back on track and dangerous even with shoes on. Nothing is a given though considering the presence of the wonderfully-consistent KADO SURPRISE (11) who debuts at the venue with a realistic chance of making it a winning one. With a race under his belt and competitively-shod for his Mauquenchy bow, KAIROS DE BOMO (15) will have his chances, as should KING AULNAIES (16) who will be reined by Francois Lagadeuc for the occasion.

C7 – PRIX DU STAND PMU – 2850m (a2m) – Class G Race – Mounted – EUR € 25,000 - JACKSON HILL – Debuts in the discipline after running 5th of 11 in a 2850m Vincennes amateurs Class F late last month and while not a priority should nevertheless hold his own
- JUSQUIAME – Useful on a good day but eliminated in last 2, latterly a Class F over course and distance, and will first need to re-establish her connections
- JUPITER DU PERCHE – Reassuring 3rd of 9 to JOTT DU BOCAGE (4) a 2750m Class G at La Capelle on 26 August, however a repeat seems most improbable
- JOTT DU BOCAGE – Made it 3 on the trot when easily winning a 2750m Class G at La Capelle on 26 August and on his current trajectory can add another victory to his growing tally
- JIVRY – Got the summer off to a good start but disappointing since, most recently 7th of 8 in a 2800m Strasbourg harness Class E 2 weeks ago. In the frame in 2 of last 3 monte starts but a minor place prospect at best this time
- JONQUILLETE CREPIN – Gave an excellent account at Divonne before being eliminated in a 2700m Vincennes Class D 10 days ago. Has buckets of ability though and will be no soft touch if Jean Ferron keeps her focused
- HIMALAYA TONIQUE – Trounced in last 3, most recently last of 9 in a 3025m Montier-en-Der amateurs harness Class F, and makes her monte debut with limited aspiration
- JAGUAR DE VILLETOT – Has not got his nose in front for almost 2.5 years but ran good 4th of 9 in a 2800m Strasbourg Class F a fortnight ago and looks thoroughly capable of picking up a minor place cheque
- IMTITI – 4th at Cabourg before repeating in a 2875m Argentan Class E a month ago. Is plainly back on the right road and, sporting a new formula, should have the wherewithal to get in on the action
- ISOLINA – Quickly eliminated in a 2875m Argentan Class E early last month. Tends to go well for her jockey though and must be respected
- JOLLY CHIC – Debuts in the discipline after winning a 2775m Craon Class F last weekend. Is plainly in cracking form and with Francois Lagadeuc aboard could yet get straight off the monte mark
Summary: JOTT DU BOCAGE (4) has turned a corner since switching yards, comes to Mauquenchy after having secured the 3-timer, and will garner the lion’s share of support. He can still expect to encounter resistance from monte debutante JOLLY CHIC (11) who has won 4 of her last 5, and the tricky JONQUILLETE CREPIN (6) who lost her action early in Paris last time out. Winner at La Gacilly, ISOLINA (10) failed to confirm next time but can make amends if Alexis Collette keeps her focused.

C8 – PRIX TABAC DU CENTRE DE PETIT QUEVILLY – 2150m (a1m1/4) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 30,000 - JUSTICIA GLAM – Eliminated when full of running in a 3100m Chinon Class F mid-August. Starts on the rail but in current condition is easy to fancy for a place in the frame
- GUOPECK DE VIVOIN – Unseen since finishing last of 15 in a 2150m Vichy claimer on 11 June. Had been a write-off prior to that and can be ignored
- IDEAL DE SASSY – 4th of 14, a place behind HEROS DHELPA (10), in a 2725m Graignes Class E late last month. Handed a super draw and Pascal Louis Rousseau will be keen to take advantage. First 5
- JAGUAR D’OBRET – Put in a good effort to run 4th of 14 in a 2625m Class E at Le Sap 2.5 weeks ago. Has won for Franck Nivard and from the 4-spot will have his chances
- GALON D’AMIRAL – Out of the picture in 2 since winning at La Capelle in late-July, most recently eliminated in a 1800m Class E at the same venue last week, and others preferred
- IZIO DU POMMEREUX – Eliminated in a 2725m Graignes Class E in late-August and will first need to reassure
- JACOMO BELLO – Ran 3rd at Enghien before coming close 2nd of 14 in a 2100m Vincennes Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Is new to the venue but will appreciate the different profile and can impose
- JEU COQUIN – 3rd of 11 in a 2475m Francheville Class F mid-August. Forced to start wide though and in this company is unlikely to influence the outcome
- JUPITER MADRIK – Eliminated on return to competition in a 2800m Strasbourg Class E 2 weeks ago and still looks a race shy
- HEROS DHELPA – Surprise 3rd of 14 in a 2725m Graignes Class E late last month. Shoes fitted once more and is an interesting outsider
- JUNKIES MINDS – 3rd of 14, a place behind JACOMO BELLO (7), in a 2100m Vincennes Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Alexis Collette would have preferred a better draw but is not incapable of turning the tables
- JAGUAR DE LAUMAC – Imposed at Saint-Omer before being eliminated over 2350m in Waregem early this month. Has previously won here, goes barefoot this time, and despite the draw will have his supporters
Summary: Patently back at his best after a tricky start to the summer season, JACOMO BELLO (7) breaks somewhat wide but he still has the wherewithal to win this. That said, JUNKIES MINDS (11) gave a reassuringly good account behind him at Vincennes recently and even from the 2nd row can win a race of this nature. Consistently in the thick of things, JAGUAR D’OBRET (4) has never let the side down at Mauquenchy and although unlikely to get his nose in front, will still be competitive for a step on the podium. The only mare in the field, JUSTICIA GLAM (1) wasn’t beaten when losing her action last time and must be taken seriously.
