  1. SPARTAN ARROW – Two unplaced runs of late, the latter over 1000m at York (UK) on August 22nd in the Nunthorpe Stakes (Gr.1). Listed winner at Chantilly in June over this distance. Consider each way
  2. PONNTOS – Nice win over 1200m at Most (CZE) on August 23rd in a conditions race. More required in a better race, but he can be on the premises
  3. CIAO PA’ – Two unplaced efforts of late, the latter over 1200m at Deauville on August 16th in a Class 1 handicap. Others make more appeal
  4. LESSLEPASSER – 5th on his last start over 1200m in a Group 3 race at Deauville on August 30th. He will likely find a few too smart
  5. BURHAN – Course winner of a Listed race over 1400m in April, 7th on his last run over 1200m on a Listed race on August 10th at Deauville. Player
  6. MONTEILLE – Unplaced last time out, a win before that over 1000m in a Group 3 race at Chantilly on June 1st. Warrants respect
  7. ESTEPONA – Seems to like the 1000m distance, 4th on his last run in a Listed race at Deauville on August 10th. Hard to overlook
  8. RAYEVKA – 7th in a Group 1 last time out, 3rd previously at Ascot (UK) over 1200m in the Commonwealth Cup (Gr.1) when narrowly beaten. She should be too classy for her rivals
    Summary: The drop back to 1000m could be to the advantage of RAYEVKA (8), who is a strong travelling sort over 1200m, which is her normal distance she has won over. She can enjoy the calmer waters, having competed in Group 1 races on her last two runs. BURHAN (5) has been competing over further than today’s distance, and he has won a Listed over 1400m at this track in April. ESTEPONA (7) likes this minimum trip and cannot be overlooked. PONNTOS (2) is also worth considering.

  10. DARING PRINCE – Ran well to be 2nd over 2400m in a Listed race on May 17th at Lyon Parilly on his last start. He needs a personal best to score
  11. CROIX DU NORD – Top-class performer in Japan. He won the Tokyo Japanese Derby (Gr.1) over 2400m on June 1st on his last run. French debut and he will be hard to beat
  12. DARYZ – 6th on his last start over 2050m at York (UK) in the Group 1 Juddmonte International on August 22nd. He won at Saint-Cloud on June 29th in a Group 3 race over 2000m and is worth close attention
  13. UTHRED – Impressive winner over 2000m at Compiegne in a Listed race on July 24th when making all of the running. Dangerous to ignore and can be a threat
  14. NAHRAAN – Three wins from all of his starts, the latter over 2200m in a Listed race at Hamilton (UK) on July 18th. He is progressive and might have a good bit more to come
  15. DUMONET – Placed 4th on his last two runs, the latter of them over 2000m in the Prix Guillaume D’Ornano on August 16th. Outside place chance
    Summary: CROIX DU NORD (3) has top-class form in Japan. He won the Japanese Derby in June on his last run and is being prepared for a crack at the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe. He is preferred ahead of DARYZ (4), who found Group 1 Class too much when unplaced at York (UK) in the Juddmonte International late in August. He won a Group 3 in June and is a live contender. NAHRAAN (6) has won all three of his starts and is improving. He is one to pay attention to, as is UTHRED (5), who can feature.

  21. PRINCE DE MONTFORT – Won on his last run over 1800m at Dieppe in a Class 3 race on July 31st. Merits consideration
  22. SABROSO – 4th last time out, a win before that over 2000m at Fontainebleau in a Class 3 race on April 21st. Others seem better handicapped at the moment
  23. ETATIQUE – Nice 3rd over 2000m at Deauville in a Class 2 handicap over 2000m on August 17th on the last run. Competitive run expected
  24. JOHNNY HAMMER – Decent win over 1800m at Clairefontaine in a Class 2 handicap on August 2nd when last seen. Capable of making his presence felt
  25. STANGHELI – Two placed efforts recently, 2nd at Deauville in a Class 1 handicap over 1900m on the PSF on August 24th on his latest start. He won on turf before and can be on the premises
  26. ELIMAN – Placed on all four runs, the latter when 3rd in a Class 2 race at Clairefontaine on August 15th over 1800m and a win before that in a maiden in June. Handicap debut and is one to keep safe
  27. OLYMPIC GOAL – Two good 2nd place runs of late, the most recent at Deauville in a Class 2 handicap over 2000m on August 17th. Can get a deserved success
  28. SIYOUKING – 6th on his last start over 2000m at Deauville in a Class 2 handicap on August 17th and a win at La Teste in June of a Class 3 handicap. Player
  29. MELBORA – Unplaced last time out, a win previously over 2000m at La Teste on July 27th in a Class 3 handicap. Others seem better equipped
    Summary: OLYMPIC GOAL (12) was a good second at Deauville in a Class 2 handicap in mid-August on the last start and filled the same position at this venue over 2000m in early July in a similar type of race. He can get the better of ETATIQUE (8), who was third in the Deauville race, beaten narrowly that day. STANGHELI (10) has a good racing weight and is one for the each-way players to look at. SIYOUKING (13) is talented and can give a good account of himself. CLAVUS (1) has top-weight to deal with, but can be involved at the finish.

  32. POET MASTER – Unplaced last time out in a Listed race, he won the Minstrel Stakes (Gr.2) race at the Curragh (IRL) in July 2024 over 1400m. Capable of being competitive
  33. DIVINE LIBRA – 4th on his last start over 1200m at Chester (UK) in a Listed race on August 3rd. Stiff task ahead, and he has to improve to make the frame
  34. SIAM PARAGON – Unplaced last time out, 2nd previously over track and trip in a Group 3 race on June 19th. He has won over track and trip in a Class 1 race in May. More is needed in a strong event
  35. OMICRONE – 8th on her last run, a win before that over track and trip in a Class 2 race on July 13th. Others seem better equipped
  36. EXXTRA – 6th on her last run over the track and trip in a Group 3 race on May 25th. Course and distance winner of a Group 3 race in May 2024. Capable of making the frame
  37. STOLEN KISS – Two wins of late, the latter over 1400m at Vichy in a Class 2 handicap on July 15th. Up in grade, and the hat-trick will be difficult
  38. POLYVEGA – 7th last time out in a Group 3 race in mid-August, 3rd previously over 1400m at this track in a Group 3 race on June 19th. One to pay attention too
    Summary: ROSHVAR (2) made a pleasing return when scoring at Dieppe in August over 1400m after almost a year away from the track. He is a marginal choice ahead of POET MASTER (3), who has been highly tried since success at the Curragh in the Minstrel Stakes (Gr.2) in July last year. He has had a break since March but runs well fresh. KING GOLD (1) scored in a Group 3 over track and trip in June and can not be overlooked. POLYVEGA (9) is also worth a mention.

  49. INCLINATION – Unplaced last time out, 4th before that over 2200m at Dieppe in a Class 3 handicap on July 22nd. She looks unreliable
    Summary: STARZO FAL (2) has strong form in a Class 2 handicap on the PSF at Deauville last time out in early August when he was second. Back on turf, he can edge this over GAGA GIRL (1), who broke her maiden on her most recent start at Clairefontaine last month and seems to be improving with experience. DALAKIR (3) is one to look at each way. He was a pleasing second two runs back at Saint-Cloud and a decent second at this track in May. BIG LOG (6) heads the rest.

  6. TROUBLEINPARADISE – Nice win on the flat over 2400m at Clairefontaine on August 6th on his sole start. He will be well-schooled for this and can play a lead role in his hurdling bow
  7. CALL ME QUEEN – Two runs so far over hurdles, she was 8th on debut at Auteuil over 3000m in March. She can make the top three
    Summary: TROUBLEINPARADISE (6) made a strong impression when winning on his flat debut in early August. Well-prepared for this next step, he looks set to make a promising start to his hurdling career. MONDOCTOR JEM (3) has an interesting profile—he’s a half-brother to the top-class jumper Theleme—and could pose the main threat. CALL ME QUEEN (7) has shown promise in her two hurdle starts and can contend for minor honours alongside MOUILLE TA CHEMISE (5), who makes her hurdling debut.

  14. ANNO SOLERO – He is by Best Solution out of a mare that never raced. Watch the betting as race time nears but definitely worth a close look
  15. LIVERPOOL – Makes his debut and might need a few runs before securing the first goal. He is by Pomellato. Others preferred
  16. FARFLIES – Daughter of Far Above out of a mare that never raced. Trained by Amy Murphy so will be fit. Each way chance on debut
  17. FAST ANGEL – She is by Anodin out of a mare called Raindance who was by Planteur. Keep attention on the betting trends as race time nears. Chance
    Summary: FLOWER CELEBRATION ran an absolute cracker on debut and with natural improvement will be hard to beat and is the firm first choice. ANNO SOLERO (7) makes his debut and could be able to ruin well first time at school. Watch the betting trends as race time looms.     Summary: GARTH VADER (5) is best when barefoot and is coming off a good performance at Vincennes last month. He can score, but this is a very competitive race. COSMICO POLARE (10) has already won twice this year, including at Vibraye last month. It would not be a surprise if he doubled up. ROSSI GARLINE (11) can be a threat going right-handed. STEADY VICTORY (9) is capable of a strong finish when in the right mood and is one of many who could score.

  66. HELSINKI GIRL – Has disqualification issues and faulted last time, out at Vertou over 2650m on 31 August. Hard to trust, but is capable of contesting the finish when staying on the trot
    Summary: JINA D’ERPION (8) has already won three times this year and remains in very good shape. She sets the standard for the race. HELSINKI GIRL (12) is very hard to trust but is capable of winning at this level if staying on the trot. JUNIOR DU GADE (7) is not reliable but is also capable of getting involved in the finish. JESSY D’ARCY (4) has yet to win after 50 starts but often makes the frame.

    Summary: A race that could be dominated by newcomers. NIWAY (5) is well-bred and impressed in qualifying, and looks the one to be with. NIKAIA PORT (3) showed ability in qualifying and could be a threat on debut. NATURALE MAG (1) qualified at Grosbois and this gelding should contest the finish on debut. NINO VERO (8) has been disqualified in both starts so far but could be a threat this time around.

  86. LUXUEUSE DANICA – Did not show his best when 11th in a Class E mounted race at Caen over 2450m on 17 May. Returns from a break but can bounce back to score
    Summary: LE CADOR DE SIMM (9) was not disgraced at Cabourg last month and had impressed with some good wins before that. He is fit and should make a bold bid to win this lucky last race. LUXUEUSE DANICA (10) returns from a break but won some solid races earlier in the year and must be respected. LAMBO DE LEAU (6) is consistent in mounted races and can be competitive once again. LOU DES COUPERIES (7) has mixed form but can make the frame.
