R1 ANGERS [R-H]
C1 – GRAND PRIX ANJOU-MAINE – 3125m (a2m) – Gr3 – Harness – EUR € 100,000
- HELLO JADE RUSH – Unexceptional sort that finished 7th of 9 in a 2850m Laval monte Class D mid-September and has nothing to offer
- KID BELLAY – Has not been seen out since running 3rd of 10 finishers in a 2850m Vincennes monte Gr.1 in June. Here for purposes of conditioning and can be disregarded
- GRAAL DU TRESOR – Last but one to IDEAL DU ROCHER (5) in a 2850m Vincennes Class B 2.5 weeks ago. Has done nothing to shout about this term and must raiser his game
- DIAMOND TRUPPO – Won a Vincennes Gr.3 before running 4th of 11 in a 2850m Lyon-Parilly Gr.3 2 weeks ago. Boasts an excellent turn of foot and given the chance can put it to good use. Chance
- IDEAL DU ROCHER – Simply superb over recent weeks, latterly winning a 2850m Vincennes Class B 2.5 weeks ago. Has little right-handed experience but in present form is still easy to fancy for the win
- INSHORE – Makes first appearance since running 7th of 11 in a 2850m Vincennes monte Gr.3 last April. Stays shod and not a concern
- HYMNE DU GERS – 8th of 13 in a 2725m Lisieux Gr.3 a week ago. Is some way off 2024 form and needs to get his house in order
- JAZZMAN DEBAILLEUL – Quality servant that ran 8th of 16 on re-entry in a 2625m Alencon Class A early last month. Has solid clockwise credentials and with front pads fitted will be dangerous
- FULTON – Eliminated in 3 harness conditioners this term, latterly a 2725m Lisieux Gr.3 a week ago. Trainer has his eyes on a different prize and can be ignored
- GASPAR D’ANGIS – Hardy campaigner with fine GNT form. Will have come on for his return run when 12th of 14 in a 2850m Meslay-du-Maine Gr.3 3 weeks ago. Is barefoot with Eric Raffin in the bike and looks a serious player this time
- JUST LOVE YOU – Classy element that ran 6th of 13 in a 2850m Laval Class D conditioner on 24 August. Has bigger fish to fry and will not be pushed hard
- JUSHUA TREE – Remarkably talented type that was eliminated in a 2850m Laval Class D on re-entry in late-August. Unlikely to be given a hard race but still has the class to get in on the action
- IZOARD VEDAQUAIS – Classy trotter making first start since running 4th of 15 in a 2450m Caen Class D last March. Has nothing to prove at this level and even though not competitively-shod, still has a part to play
- HIRONDELLE DU RIB – Starts for the first time since winning a 2850m Vincennes monte Gr.1 last March. Shoes on and no threat
- JUST A GIGOLO – Has not been seen out since being eliminated in a 2200m Caen Class D last March. Ran 2nd in a Vincennes Gr.2 last time in this configuration but looks more a minor place chance this time
- IDEALE DU CHENE – Last but one, a place behind GASPAR D’ANGIS (10), in a 2850m Meslay-du-Maine Gr.3 on 10 September. Is preparing for a campaign in the other code and can be ruled out
Summary: Most convincing since moving to the Duvaldestin yard, IDEAL DU ROCHER (5) finds himself ideally-placed on the front row and has a reasonable chance of winning this. JAZZMAN DEBAILLEUL (8) has a race under his belt though, will be shod to preference, and also breaks in front. GASPAR D’ANGIS (10) similarly makes his second start back, runs barefoot, and even from the back line will have his chances. DIAMOND TRUPPO (4) has returned to France in cracking shape and, behind in earnings, is unlikely to disappoint. IZOARD VEDAQUAIS (13) may have raced just once in the last 16 months, and is clearly being conditioned, but he still has the class to make the first 5.

C2 – PRIX REDS MILLS – 3125m (a2m) – Class F – Mounted – EUR € 26,000 - INTREPIDE NEMO – 8th of 15 in a 2850m Laval Class E mid-September and in current condition will have nothing to contribute
- JAGUAR DE KARA – Eliminated in a 3000m Chateaubriant harness Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Is proven under the saddle but would be preferred competitively-shod
- PARKER – Imposed at Compiegne before finishing fast 2nd of 13 in a 2600m Class H at Châlons-en-Champagne 10 days ago. Reunited with Clement Frecelle who won with him at Argentan and can repeat
- JACK DES MALBERAUX – Is back under the saddle after being eliminated in a 2650m Laval harness Class D last week. Takes on a superior lot here and is not about to influence the result
- JADE DU PARC – Was enjoying a fine run of form until being eliminated in a 3100m Vibraye Class E mid-August. Alexis Collette in the bike this time and should have the wherewithal to pick up some prizemoney
- JOB DU PERSIL – Lost his action in a 2600m harness Class F at Châlons-en-Champagne 10 days ago. Has otherwise been in good shape, receives a Mathieu Mottier ride for ridden debut, but still looks to have a big challenge ahead of him
- BATTUTA FACE – Returns to monte code after being eliminated in a 2100m Vincennes harness Class B conditioner 2 weeks ago. Alexandre Abrivard in the saddle and will be expected to contest the finish
- JOSELITO DU VIVIER – Eliminated in a 2650m harness Class F at Les Sables-d’Olonne early last month. Makes just 3rd start for new trainer and can deliver if Eric Raffin keeps him trotting
- JADE DU CEDRE – Reassuring 2nd of 8 to JAZZMAN IDEF (10) in a 2675m Class E at Le Mont-Saint-Michel on 7 September. Is plainly close to her race and must not be discounted
- JAZZMAN IDEF – Clinched victory in a 2675m Class E at Le Mont-Saint-Michel on 7 September. Is not to be underestimated with shoes off and should be considered a player
- JAVA DU CHERISAY – 10th of 12 in a 2775m Craon Class E on 8 September. In superior company this time and will have few friends
- JOKE DE CHENU – Last of 12, on return to competition, in a 2875m Meslay-du-Maine harness Class E on 10 September. Benefits from a terrific entry, is shod competitively, and Romain Marty will be eager to make hay
Summary: Leaving the nordics was the right thing to do for PARKER (3) who has taken particularly well to his new vocation and he is in with a serious shout of making his Angers bow a winning one. Compatriot BATTUTA FACE (7) has shown a similar liking for the discipline and looks the main threat. JOSELITO DU VIVIER (8) switches code for the first time, races shod for the occasion, and the engagement of Eric Raffin speaks volumes. A veritable dynamo when barefoot and focused, JAZZMAN IDEF (10) is unlikely to be far off the mark.

C3 – PRIX DE LA CONFRERIE DES RILLAUDS D’ANJOU – 3125m (a2m) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 23,000 - MATADOR DU PALAIS – Got off the mark in late-August but sanctioned in 2 since, latterly a 2450m Caen Class E 11 days ago. Is reunited with Matthieu Abrivard who won with him that day and cannot be ruled out
- MOLLY MADRIK – Placed 3 times before finishing last of 8 in a 2150m Enghien Class E on 12 July. Is going to need the outing however
- MELI MELO DE CHENU – Unraced since making it 2 in a row in a 3200m Fougeres Class G in early-May and faces a stiff test
- MIDNIGHT CHENU – Lost her maiden tag a month before finishing last but one in a 2150m Enghien Class E 2 months ago. Has had time to get her house in order but others still preferred
- MALIUM – 5th of 10 in a 2700m Vincennes Class E on 19 September. Eric Raffin stays faithful and with modified tactics can play a prominent part
- MOUSKO DU LUPIN – Made up for Pornichet elimination when comfortably winning a 2650m Class E at Les Sables-d’Olonne on 4 September. Starts in front here and looks principal threat to MANHATTAN PIYA (14)
- MALUMA D’ANGIS – Has not been seen out since running 2nd of 9 in a 2725m Pornichet Class E on 24 July and can be confidently passed over
- MIKA DU NOYER – Good future prospect starting for first time since making short work of a 2425m Class E here on 10 June. Is likely to be race-rusty and others easier to back
- MOHITO DE GUEZ – Eliminated on re-entry in a 2875m Meslay-du-Maine Class D 3 weeks ago. Entrusted to Benjamin Rochard for the occasion and will have a part to play if he can keep his charge focused
- MADMAX JEF – Promising sort making first start since winning a 2300m Chateaubriant Class D on 25 May, but is going to need the race
- MOUSKIE DE GUEZ – Put 4 eliminations behind her to win a 2950m Le Mans Class E just over 2 months ago. JMB in the bike for comeback but the extra 25m will do her no favours
- MAURICETTE BLUE – Imposed at Les Sables-d’Olonne before finishing last but one in a 2750m Cabourg Class D in late-July. Unraced since but is confirmed here and with Mathieu Mottier reining will be no easy touch
- MELICIANO – Starts for the first time since winning a 2950m Vichy Class D mid-June. Makes Angers bow on a hat-trick but represents more a place chance this time around
- MANHATTAN PIYA – Won a 2800m Vire Class E on 1 September, making it a career 3 for 3. Has bags of potential and returns to the venue with a realistic chance of imposing
- MAESTRO MUSIC – Unraced since getting off the mark in a 2200m Vincennes monte Class D on 24 June. Has shown decent harness aptitude but cannot be regarded a priority
Summary: Put away after winning on debut here last January, MANHATTAN PIYA (14) has won both starts since the break and has every chance of keeping his unbeaten run going. Alexandre Abrivard would still be wise to be wary of the better-positioned MOUSKO DU LUPIN (6) who defied tough conditions to impose at les Sables-d’Olonne a month ago, and MALIUM (5) who has come close more than once. Winner of 2 before the summer holidays, MELICIANO (13) incurs the penalty but still looks competitively well in.

C4 – PRIX DE L’HIPPODROME DE LAVAL – 3125m (a2m) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 26,000 - KALIE PRIMO – Received a resounding thumbs-up after running 2nd of 14 in a 2200m Caen Class E a fortnight ago. Has yet to disappoint in the day’s configuration and despite the elevated category will have her supporters
- KOH LANTA – Quality mare making first appearance since running 2nd of 8 in a 2100m Vincennes Class D last January and is going to need the outing
- KASTA DU RIB – 10th of 16 in a 2725m Lisieux Class B a week ago. Is barefoot as she was when 2nd at Cabourg and can again figure prominently
- KABALVA – 5th of 11 finishers behind KLASSIKA DIDALO (8) in a 2725m Lisieux Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Will not be sent out at 119/1 this time but is unlikely to be as competitive either
- KIMIKO DU DOUBS – Unraced since finishing last but one in a 2850m Laval Class D last June. Is no slouch on a good day and even though possibly rusty, can still get a look in
- KASSIOPEE DREAM – Eliminated in last 2, most recently a 2725m Lisieux Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Is not devoid of ability but others still easier to trust
- KALINKA CASTELETS – Out of the picture in last 3, latterly last of 7 finishers in a 2750m Cabourg Class D on 1 August, and is unlikely to create an upset
- KLASSIKA DIDALO – Good 2nd of 11 finishers in a 2725m lisieux Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Sports pads for the first time but is still capable of making first 5
- KANELLE DE TILLARD – Disappointing at Ecommoy before being eliminated in a 2100m Vincennes Class D a fortnight ago and is unlikely to shake things up
- KOSETTE DU LINON – Somewhat surprising winner of a 2700m Vincennes Class E 3 weeks ago, but a similar performance could well see her double up
- KELLY GEDE – 5th of 12 in a 2875m Meslay-du-Maine Class E on 10 September. Is in better shape than the result would suggest and is easy to recommend for a spot on the podium
- KANARY BAY – Should not be hastily-judged for being eliminated in a 2625m Agen Class E mid-September. Has been delivering since the spring and with stride in check can win this
- KUNAMATATA – Useful mare making first appearance since winning a 3000m Chateaubriant Class E in early-July. Has form here and even though shod this time can still get in on the action
Summary: Well-engaged close to the limit of earnings, KANARY BAY (12) lost her action when going well at Agen recently but on better behaviour can set the record straight. She will still come under pressure from KOSETTE DU LINON (10) who showed great tenacity to impose in Paris last month, and KASTA DU RIB (3) who is a tough nut to crack when barefoot and focused. KELLY GEDE (11) appears to be close to her best and makes her Angers bow with a good hand to play.

C5 – PRIX DE L’ATAM – 3125m (a2m) – – Harness – EUR € 30,000 - GERONIMO STARDUST – 13th of 15 behind FILLE DE L’OUEST (3) in a 2200m Caen amateurs Class F 2 weeks ago. Is being prepared for a season in the other discipline and can be ruled out
- HORUS DE VAL – Made up for Saint-Malo elimination when successful in a 2800m Cholet Class F 10 days ago, but is biting off more than he can chew this time
- FILLE DE L’OUEST – 11th of 15 in a 2200m Caen amateurs Class F 2 weeks ago. Starts in front here but chances still limited
- FAXIMA – Oddly below-par 9th of 12 in a 2100m Vincennes Class D a month ago. Tends to go well for Franck Nivard and should be taken seriously
- ISIA DU CHENE – Showed her form after being eliminated in a 2725m Lisieux Class E a week ago. On the second line once more but on good behaviour will have this in the bag
- IDEAL BOY – 9th of 15, on return to competition, in a 2750m Ecommoy Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Seldom disappoints when barefoot, but may just be taking on too much
- INDIC – Back to racing right-handed after struggling to turn at Vincennes, coming 7th of 12 in a 2850m Class D on 20 August. Form is absolutely not in question and should figure prominently at the business end of the race
- HASARD – Put on a pleasant show to run 5th of 13 in a 3000m Chateaubriant Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Sports a new configuration for the occasion and warrants respect
- ILCAPITANO DU PARC – Respectable 5th of 13 in a 2100m Vincennes Class D on 12 September. Trainer in the bike this time though and others easier to support
- HOLDING GIRL – Close 2nd of 9 in a 2575m Agen Class D mid-September. Has enjoyed a tremendous year and should again make the frame
- IRIS FROM – Gave a better account in a 2700m Vincennes Class D 10 days ago than her 6th of 9 would suggest, and in this company looks considerably more competitive
- GAMIN D’ALJY – 10th of 13 finishers behind HASARD (8) in a 3000m Chateaubriant Class E 2.5 weeks ago and has no realistic chance
- IN LOVE MESLOIS – Back in competition-mode after running 8th of 11 in a 2850m Laval Class D last week. Is barefoot with Matthieu Abrivard in the bike and significant improvement anticipated
- IVRIG VIKING – 11th of 13 finishers behind HASARD (8) in a 3000m Chateaubriant Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Makes just 2nd start for new trainer, runs barefoot, and it will not be long before he gets back in the game
Summary: She may never be far from losing her action but ISIA DU CHENE (5) has won 2 of her last 3 starts and with application can redeem herself. The wonderfully talented INDIC (7) was not at his ease at Vincennes last time but he has had time to recalibrate and will be no easy touch. Not once out of the frame since April, it is only a question of time before HOLDING GIRL (10) gets her nose in front. Respectable last time out, IRIS FROM (11) should find conditions to her liking and will be expected to play an active role.

C6 – PRIX DE L’HIPPODROME DU MANS – 3100m (a2m) – Class B – Harness – EUR € 30,000 - LORD DE BRION – Secured the hat-trick in a 2875m Meslay-du-Maine Class E 3 weeks ago. Shoes back on though and best to keep one’s powder dry
- LAVALLOISE GIRL – 5th at Rochefort-sur-Loire before being eliminated in a 2950m Saint-Malo Class E on 12 August. Form is not in question and with application can take advantage of her front-line start
- LOOK AT ME LULU – 8th of 12 in a 2750m Ecommoy Class E in late-August. Is better than recent results would suggest and the front-row draw will only work to her advantage
- LOOK DES ECUS – Failed to confirm Le Mont-Saint-Michel victory when quickly eliminated in a 2700m Vincennes Class D a month back. Runs shod this time and others preferred
- L’ILE D’HAUFOR – Talented filly making first appearance since winning a 2700m Vincennes Class D last January. Shod for re-entry and best to hold off
- LASKA DU LEVANT – 3rd of 7 in a 2700m Vincennes monte Gr.2 in early-September. Here for reasons of conditioning and can be ruled out
- LUMINEUSE DE BRION – Makes first appearance since finishing 8th of 12 in a 2700m Vincennes Gr.2 in early-June. Shoes fitted this time and not a priority
- L’ATHENIA BELLA – Added another success to her tally when victorious in a 2750m Class B at Les Sables-d’Olonne early last month. Should appreciate this longer trip and can challenge for the win
- LIQUIDATEUR – Has not been seen out since dominating a 2700m Vincennes Class C last June. Enjoys a decent entry though and merits considerable respect
- LOUSTIC DELAURIERE – Won smartly at Meslay-du-Maine before running 4th of 10 in a 2875m Enghien Class C in early-August. Comes here fresh and going right-handed this time can make all the difference. Claim
- LUMINOUS STAR – 5th of 10 in a 2175m Vincennes Class C early last month. Shoes back on though and, with an extra 50m to travel, look a minor place prospect at best
- LYRIKO BELLO – 3rd of 6, a place behind LORD DELO (14), in a 2700m Vincennes Class B on 23 August. Was unlucky that day, has been reconfigured, and will not be far off the mark
- LOVER MAN – Justifiably well-regarded colt starting for first time since running 5th of 13 in a 2700m Vincennes Gr.2 in early-June, but with shoes on will have little to contribute
- LORD DELO – Made a fine re-entry when 2nd of 6 in a 2700m Vincennes Class B on 23 August. Has been fitted with shoes this time however and will have other ambitions
- LISSANDRO – Returns to racing shod after being eliminated in a 2850m Vincennes Gr.1 on 13 September. Shoes on and no danger
- LEMON TREE – Takes a dip in category after coming 9th of 11 finishers in a 2850m Vincennes Gr.1 2.5 weeks ago. Has form at this level and is easy to recommend for a place in the picture
Summary: Nicely-engaged on the second line, presently in top form, LOUSTIC DELAURIERE (10) returns to racing clockwise and may just have the edge over the tough and versatile L’ATHENIA BELLA (8) who has won 5 of her last 6. Runner-up to the latter at Les Sables-d’Olonne, LEMON TREE (16) returns to a more reasonable level and even from the back line will be no pushover. Winner of 2 before being sent for a rest, LIQUIDATEUR (9) will be shod for his comeback and although unlikely to pull off the hat-trick, can still compete for a place on the podium.

C7 – PRIX DU CONSEIL REGIONAL DES PAYS DE LOIRE – 3125m (a2m) – Class D – Mounted – EUR € 34,000 - JABLO DU CHENE – Tough element that ran 3rd of 7 to JIMINY CRICKET (2) in a a 2725m Lisieux Class A last week. Is obviously in decent shape and, already successful here, will justifiably garner support
- JIMINY CRICKET – Excellent monte campaigner that ran out the solid winner of a 2725m Lisieux Class A just last week. Eliminated on lone start here but can wrap this up if he stays in stride
- MISTER INVICTUS – Has not got his nose in front this year but runner-up in last 2, latterly a 2750m Class D at La Capelle a month ago. Mathieu Mottier in the irons and is unlikely to disappoint
- ICARE WILLIAMS – Should not be hastily-condemned for faulting in a 2850m Parilly Class D a fortnight ago. Has been demonstrating his form over recent months and on good behaviour will not be far from the action
- DRAGOWSKI – Stayed on well to win a 2750m Cabourg Class D on 22 August. Beat the good Jet Express that day and in the hands of Guillaume Martin can get straight down to business
- FERIA DU METZ – 2nd of 7 in a 1609m Vichy harness Class D 11 days ago. Looked ordinary monte debut in June and appears to have nothing to offer
- HARIBO DU CARNOIS – 3rd of 13 in a 2950m Redon harness Class E on 7 September. Has just one ridden start under his belt and is unlikely to spring any surprises
Summary: As comfortable in one code as the other, JIMINY CRICKET (2) has hardly put a foot out of line this year and given the nature of his recent victory, can make it 3 on the trot. Alexis Collette will nevertheless be expecting resistance from JABLO DU CHENE (1) who ran 3rd to him at Lisieux after having imposed at Meslay, and monte debutant DRAGOWSKI (5) who gave a reassuringly convincing performance last time out.

C8 – PRIX DE L’HIPPODROME DE MESLAY DU MAINE – 3125m (a2m) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 26,000 - JIF ECLAIR – Modest element that was eliminated in a 2725m Pornichet Class F in late-August, on first start for almost a year, and is not about to trouble the opposition
- JULIA BELLA – Secured the hat-trick when unopposed winner of a 2850m Lyon-Parilly Class F a fortnight ago, and is easy to fancy for a repeat performance
- JABLONSKI – Last of 11 in a 2850m Laval Class D last week. Still being conditioned following a lengthy absence and best to hold off
- JERICHO DU RIB – Starts for the first time since winning a 2875m Enghien Class D with authority 2 months ago. Will have been kept on the boil and with shoes off looks a serious proposition once more
- JUSTICIA GLAM – 5th of 12 in a 2150m Mauquenchy Class E 3 weeks ago. Is fitted with shoes this time though and can be passed over
- JUST A COUET – Good, consistent sort that ran 3rd of 12, a place behind JAG ROYAL (7), in a 2875m Class E at Meslay-du-Maine on 10 September. Unlikely to win this but still looks good enough to make first 5
- JAG ROYAL – Runner-up in all 3 starts this term, most recently a 2875m Class E at Meslay-du-Maine 3 weeks ago, and it won’t be long before he opens his autumn account
- JERZINHO SPORT – Made up for Vincennes elimination when successful in a 2650m Class F at Les Sables-d’Olonne on 4 September. Tends to go well for his driver and has a reasonable chance of confirming
- JOKER D’OCCAGNES – 5th of 12 behind JAG ROYAL (7) in a 2875m Class E at Meslay-du-Maine on 10 September. Is useful on a good day and with Mathieu Mottier reining is not about to let the side down
- JUDY MATIDY – Oddly below-par 7th of 13 in a 2900m Dozule Class F on 13 August. Has otherwise been showing her form but has more to find this time around
- JEDI DES BROUETS – Showed moderate improvement when 4th of 10 in a 2950m Vichy Class C 2.5 weeks ago. Is nicely engaged here but still no more than a minor place chance
- JAB DE MYE – Sprang a 94-1 surprise when winning a 2100m Vincennes Class E on 25 August. Trainer could not have wished for a better entry and will be keen to take advantage
Summary: Beaten just once in 11 barefoot starts, JULIA BELLA (2) won her only Angers start, returns on a 4-timer, and seems thoroughly capable of pulling it off. Antoine Wiels will still be mindful of JERICHO DU RIB (4) who has had ample time to get back in shape following his Enghien success, and JAG ROYAL (7) who has been knocking at the door. JERZINHO SPORT (8) is patently back at his best and has already won 3 times for David Thomain.

C1 – PRIX LANISTE – 4400m (a3m) – TURF – Class 3 – Steeple Chase – EUR € 53,000
- IRADIUS – Two unplaced efforts of late, 3rd previously over 4400m in a Listed chase at Auteuil on March 23rd. Can score with a clear round of jumping
- KASHBACK WOOD – He won a Class 3 cross-country chase on September 8th over 4600m on his last start. Back over the regulation fences, and others preferred
- GRAINE DE CHAMP – 7th on his only run this year over 3900m at Clairefontaine on September 5th in a Class 4 chase. He needs to be more reliable
- KIRIKOU DES MERS – Two unplaced efforts of late, 6th on the most recent over 3500m at Auteuil on September 18th in a Class 2 chase. Opposable
- JOLIDEE – She was a decent third in a Class 1 chase in February at Auteuil over 4400m three runs back. Unplaced in Graded chases on her last two runs. Back in calmer waters she warrants respect
- KOUCA DE THAIX – Three solid runs recently, 3rd over 3900m on the most recent at Clairefontaine in Class 2 chase on June 17th. She will be ready to go after almost four months off
- KIDNAPPEUR – Fair effort to be 2nd over 4200m at Vittel on August 27th in a Class 3 chase. Unlikely to trouble some of the principles
- KOOL DOUCE – Not seen since a 3rd over 4400m in a Class 1 chase at Auteuil on December 8th, 2024. If fit to go she can have a say in the finish
Summary: . IRADIUS (1) is a talented chaser, albeit prone to the occasional jumping error, but if he puts in a clean round, he can come out on top. He’s narrowly preferred to JOLIDEE (5), who failed to complete in a Grade 3 chase in late May but had previously finished a solid third in a Class 1 event at Auteuil in February—she’s tough to dismiss. KOUCA DE THAIX (6) has been consistently placed and looks set for another strong showing. KOOL DOUCE (8) completes the shortlist.

MAYBE THE STORY (8) landed a handicap hurdle in July and deserves respect in this company. KELTEMPS (3) is another to consider.

- GENERAL CHOP – Ran 2nd in a Claimer over 1600m at Chantilly on 5 September. Beaten by a useful filly last time and has not run a bad race at this level

- TINMANDER – Ran 8th in a Claimer over 1400m at Dax on 21 September. That was a disappointing effort but if he can find his earlier form he could place
- CAPITOL HILL – Finished 2nd in a Claimer over 1800m at Marseille Borely on 15 September. Seemed to be suited to the sticky conditions last time. Will need to do more this time
- SPARKS OF LOVE – Ran 2nd in a Claimer over 1600m at Lyon Parily on 21 September. That was her first run at this level and could be competitive although Mickael Barzalona, who rode her last time, has now opted for GENERAL CHOP (2)
- LOVE ADDICT – Finished 5th in a Claimer over 1400m at Dax on 21 September. That was her first run and she should improve on that
- LAKE DREAM – Ran 3rd in a Claimer over 1400m at Lion D’Angers on 20 September. Has been competitive at this level but might find some others too strong
Summary: GENERAL CHOP (2) is in good form, has run well at this level and has Mickael Barzalona up. All that should help him overcome carrying top weight. SY LY (3) has been running against stronger and while disappointing in her return from a break, now drops in class and will be highly competitive. VOL D’AMOUR (1) has been running well in Spain and is the best handicapped runner in the field. SPARKS OF LOVE (6) finished second in her first run in a Claimer and should contest the finish.

- SNATCHER – Ran 3rd in a Handicap over 2400m at La Teste on 6 September. That was an improved effort and he should make further progress
Summary: This looks a very open Handicap but VEREMOS (4) could be the one to be with as she looks very well in at the weights after having raced against stronger. Nevertheless, SNATCHER (9) showed a return to form in his last race and will be competitive while EL TIGRE (2), will have the services of Mickael Barzalona this time. - COCOA – Ran 5th in a Conditions Qualifier Handicap over 2200m at Gramat on 3 August. Will need to up her game to feature in this event

POPPIE SAN (3) is in a similar position and now that she has finally found her way to the winners’ box hopefully she can maintain that level. THECLIMB (4) is ultra-consistent and along with ELIOTT CHOP (5), whose rating has fallen significantly, could place.
