    Summary: A very competitive opening event. TERTIUS (6) always gives of his best and will be right there at the finish yet again. A winning turn, perhaps? SIMPLY LOVELY (11) struggled at Deauville but is much better at this track and can contest the finish. FORCHESTER (4) is usually very competitive and is clearly not out of it in this line-up. NATIONAL SERVICE (1) has to give weight to all his rivals but does like this track and trip. SWEET CHOP (3) could also be a danger off this handicap mark.

  20. CHILL Y FLAMA – A good third in a Conditions race at Saint-Cloud over 1600m on 26 September. Can be competitive once again
  21. BOURG ACHARD – Finished 7th on debut in a Conditions race over this track and trip on 15 September. Needs to do a bit more to win
  22. ST MARKSMAN – Showed some improvement and was fifth in a Conditions race over this coursea and distance on 15 September. More is needed to beat these rivals
  23. LADY STARLIGHT – Has not show much and was 8th in a Conditions race at this track over 1000m on 14 April. Returns from a break and needs to find a few lengths to win
  24. CORYPHEENE – A two-year-old filly by Le Brivido out of Coryphée who makes her debut. Her mother only raced once and was unplaced. Watch the betting
    Summary: SÉNÈQUE (1) showed improvement after a promising debut and was a good winner over this course and distance. He looks likely to follow up. IMPERIOR (3) did all that was needed to win on debut, and the runner-up has won since. LYNEHAM (2) won well at Bordeaux-Le Bouscat on debut and could be anything. CHILL Y FLAMA (4) did beat SÉNÈQUE (1) before, so cannot be written off from winning this as well.

  34. ASPRILA – A two-year-old filly by Territories out of Dutch Shadow who makes her debut. Her Dam never raced. Watch the betting
    Summary: ALINKA (9) showed improvement when dropped to this division and was a good winner at Lyon-Parilly. She sets the standard for the race. MONCLAR (2) was not disgraced in his two starts so far and would not be a surprise winner on his first run in a claimer. ASPRILA (10) has already won a couple of claimers and can be right there in the mix of things. OTHON (1) was not disgraced at Dax and can shine again.

KHAN (6) has struggled recently but is capable of winning off a dropping handicap mark.

    Summary: BOTICELLI (8) is clearly capable of winning off his current mark. The only question he has to answer is whether he can show that form on this surface. GEOPOLITICAL (4) has yet to win but has been very consistent so far and should be a threat on handicap debut. AL MAX (3) picked up a confidence-boosting win and is a possible contender now trying a handicap. NEUSCHWANSTEIN (15) has won on the PSF, so is another to consider.

IMAYA (15) has not shown her best form on this surface but is capable of winning a race of this nature. ZAMPANU (6) was runner-up in a handicap on his penultimate start and can go one better.

  3. SHIVA DE CANDALE AA – Fair 3rd at Dax on September 21st behind FOREST DU PECOS AA (1) in a Class 3 chase over 3500m. In the mix
  4. FANCY DU PECOS AA – Nice effort to be 3rd at Jarnac in a Class 5 hurdle on September 28th. She looks like the ideal type to improve further over fences
  5. NEVIS DE CANDALE AA – 5th on his chasing debut at Castera-Verduza on September 28th over 4900m in a Class 3 race. Unlikely to trouble the principles

  7. MRLAKHANI FOR LIFE AA – Three unplaced efforts this year, the most recent over 3500m at Dax in a Class 3 chase on September 21st behind FOREST DU PECOS AA (1). He looks safely held
    Summary: FOREST DU PECOS AA (1) is in excellent form, having completed a hat-trick of wins over hurdles and fences. His latest success was by 5 lengths at Dax over fences last month. FANCY DU PECOS AA (4) ran a solid race when third in a Class 5 hurdle at Jarnac late last month and has the scope to make an impact over fences. LOKI DE LA BRUNIE AA (2) was runner-up to the main selection at Dax and could get closer this time. SHIVA DE CANDALE AA (3) heads the rest.

    Summary: MY CALYX CEN (7) put up a cracking effort on debut when finishing second over the course and distance and firmly looks the right candidate that will take a power of beating here. WITTELSBACH (2) delivered a decent educational effort on debut and with the experience under the belt, he can definitely hold a solid podium place. CIAO NENE (5) is another candidate that can run into the places in this small field. WESTMINSTER COYOTE (6) completes the mix.

  20. CADELO – Fair 2nd over 3700m in a Class 3 hurdle at Le Lion D’Angers on September 20th last time out. Lightly raced and has more to come
  21. YES WE HOPE – Placed 2nd twice from her three runs, the latter over 3500m in a Class 3 chase at Meslay-Du-Maine on March 16th. Handicap debut, and she might find a few too smart

    Summary: MOUFFETARD (13) was not at all disgraced when suffering defeat over this course and distance in August. He had some solid wins before that and can resume his winning ways. MAESTRO DE L’AUMOY (11) is consistent and should be right there at the finish yet again. MISTI DE CORDAY (9) fluffed his lines with a fault last time out but is capable of contesting the finish. MUST ATOUT (12) has contested stronger races than this year and could be a lively danger.

    Summary: KRACK CLEA (9) proved in need of his last run, and that effort is easily forgiven. He has a good record with this shoeing and over this course and distance, so can bounce back to score. KARNA DES BAULTS (8) recorded a solid win over this track and trip a few weeks ago and will be a lively danger. KATIM DU GOUTIER (4) is holding form and should be competitive again. KOQUIN DU PERCHE (5) continues to win races and would not be a surprise winner of this race either.

    Summary: A very competitive claimer. KRAFEN (17) has major disqualification issues but did run well in a better field than this at Lisieux and could be the one to beat. KOKA DU DOUET (12) won last time out in this division at Enghien but goes further this time around. KLIF DU DÉZERT (11) is not easy to trust but looked good when winning over this track and trip on his penultimate start and must be respected for that. KÉPI DU HOME (14) races without shoes this time and is also capable of improvement.

MAMBO DE LA VALLÉE (1) has major disqualification issues but is also capable of winning, as he did last time out at this course. MONSTER SPEED (8) is also not easy to trust but is capable of scoring.
