PALM SPRINGS (4) has Christophe Soumillon in the saddle and can’t be dismissed.
JANNET (2) is well-bred and should build on her encouraging fourth first time out at Chantilly last month.

She has won several times in Poland and was a decent fourth at Clairefontaine on her penultimate start in a Class 2 race. The drop in class looks like a positive. CAMERON (8) can be a threat to the selection. He was a solid third over this track and trip late last month. SPLENDINO (9) is one to look at each way. JOLIE COKTAIL (16) fluffed her lines with a disqualification last time out but was in very good winning form before that and can bounce back to score. R4 ENGHIEN [L-H]
C1 – PRIX DE THIEZAC – 2875m (a2m) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 40,000
- MAYA PONT VAUTIER – Courageous 2nd of 14 in a 2450m Caen Class E a month back. Should take well to Enghien profile and can play an active role
- MALINE DES ARRIS – Eliminated in 4 of last 5, most recently a 2700m Vincennes Class D on 27 August. Is by no means devoid of ability and can play a role if she stays trotting
- MAYA DE MAHEY – 8th of of 13 behind MICHKA (8) in a 2150m Class D here last week. Unplaced in both metropolitan starts and is unlikely to trouble the judge
- MAMOUNIA SEVEN – 5th of 11 finishers in a 2150m Class C here 10 days ago. Drops marginally in category but others still preferred
- MATA HARI – Made up for Carentan blip when victorious in a 2725m Graignes Class E in late-August. Has freshness on her side and is unlikely to be far from the action
- MAMOON – Placed in last 2, most recently 3rd of 11 to MADAME D’ERABLE (10) in a 2450m Caen Class E on 20 September. Faces a tougher task this time but still cannot be ruled out
- MISS LADY D’ALESA – Makes first appearance since finishing last of 8 in a 2925m Cagnes Class B last February and best to wait
- MICHKA – Respectable 4th of 13 in a 2150m Class D here last week. Takes on some better horses this time and will struggle to repeat
- MI FA SOL – Unbeaten in 2 starts to date but has not been seen out since winning at Cordemais last March and is unlikely to be overstretched on first start back
- MADAME D’ERABLE – Left a very good impression when winning a 2450m Caen Class E on 20 September. In similar form, and with application, the race will be hers for the taking
- MARQUISE GRIFF – Last of 12, on return to competition, in a 2700m Vincennes Class D late last month. Will have come on for the race and can figure prominently
- MERRY RIVER – Talented filly that was eliminated in a 2175m Vincennes Class D on 12 September. Is a tough nut when focused though and on good behaviour can compete for the win
- MIAMI DU CHATELET – Unable to pull off the hat-trick when eliminated in a 2750m Craon Class B 2.5 weeks ago. Paul Ploquin in the bike this time and will be keen to keep her on the straight and narrow. Place prospect
- MOONLIGHT STAR – Good, consistent filly that ran 3rd of 9 finishers in a 2700m Vincennes Class E on 19 September. Benefits from a terrific entry and will have a legitimate chance of picking up a first-5 cheque
Summary: Somewhat green she may be but MADAME D’ERABLE (10) opened her account in good order last month and even though racing left-handed for the first time still looks the horse to beat. MERRY RIVER (12) is neither less complicated nor less talented and will be one to watch as she debuts for her new trainer. Twice a winner before losing her action in Craon, MIAMI DU CHATELET (13) enjoys a fine entry and makes her hard-surface bow with a good hand to play. MAYA PONT VAUTIER (1) has been thoroughly professional so far and has a reasonable chance of finishing close.

C2 – PRIX DE GRAVELINES – 2150m (a1m1/4) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 40,000 - LOOK DE VALAILLES – Has not been seen out since running 5th of 7 in a 2100m Vincennes Class D on 20 August. Has been reconfigured but looks no more than a minor place chance
- LIBRE PENSEUR MEEK – Lost his action in a 2100m Vincennes claimer on 23 September. Disappointing on the whole for past 11 months and will have nothing to offer
- LEONARD DE VINCI – Unremarkable 4th of 8 finishers in a 2450m Caen Class E on 20 September. Is confirmed left-handed and the change of scenery may be just the ticket. Attention
- LUSANIO DE WARNOC – Made up for Reims elimination when narrowly beaten in a 2875m Class E here on 27 September. Is ideally-placed behind the car and will be no soft touch
- LINARO – 7th of 12 when preparing for this in a 2700m Graignes Class B in late-August. Showed significant promise last season and if fully fit can figure prominently
- LUCKY BOY VERTRAC – 3rd of 16 in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class E on 11 September. Has done nothing but improve lately and returns to Enghien well-placed in front and with a good hand to play
- LOIR ET CHER – 3rd of 11 in a 2850m Vincennes Class D on 21 September. Goes barefoot again, starts in front, and will not be available at 66-1 this time
- LOOK DES ECUS – Last of 10 when being conditioned in a 3100m Angers Class B a fortnight ago. Has clearly been prepared for this, is shod to preference, and will not be far from the action if Thomas Chalon positions him early
- LET IT SNOW – Capable type but starts for the first time since coming 5th of 14 in a 2725m Cabourg Class E in early-July and will need the race
- LATINO PURA VIDA – Sprang an 89-1 surprise when winning a 2875m Enghien claimer 10 days ago, but has little going his way this time and can be passed over
- LEONARDO TURGOT – 6th of 13 finishers behind LUSANIO DE WARNOC (4) in a 2875m Class E here late last month, however a repeat seems improbable
- LED ZEP VET – Unraced since finishing last but one in a 2850m Vincennes Class D last January and will not be given a hard race
- LISTEL D’URZY – 2nd of 10 finishers to LATINO PURA VIDA (10) in a 2875m Enghien claimer 10 days ago. Takes a notable step up in category though and the draw will do him no favours
- LIDO DE LOU – Opened his 2025 account in a 2850m Laval Class E on 4 October. Eliminated in sole Enghien start but is barefoot as he was at Laval and can repeat
- LONDON JONES – Has been afforded ample time to recalibrate after finishing 10th of 12 behind LINARO (5) in a 2700m Graignes Class B in late-August. Ran 2nd here in July and although not ideally-drawn, can still get a look in
- LUCKY BELLAY – Hardy element making first appearance since finishing 6th of 8 in a 2875m Class E here on 10 July. Shoes fitted and no threat
Summary: LIDO DE LOU (14) took some time to come to hand this season but he scored convincingly at Laval earlier this month and despite the draw can double his money. Theo Duvaldestin will be justifiably wary though of the better-positioned LUSANIO DE WARNOC (4) who went close over longer here late last month, and LEONARD DE VINCI (3) who changes direction in a bid to get back to winning ways. LINARO (5) has a pair of runs under his belt, goes barefoot for his first objective of the season, and is unlikely to disappoint.

- KING OF DAY – 2nd of 10 in a 2150m Vichy Class E on 20 September. Has pulled a good number in front and reverts to a previous formula with a respectable chance of picking up a first-5 cheque
- KILLER FOR LOVA – Last but one behind KING SUN DRALIAM (1), on re-entry, in a 3000m Nantes Class E 3 weeks ago. Barefoot this time but still looks a race shy
- KARTER LEWIS – 7th of 15 in a 2700m Class E at Le Croise-Laroche on 1 October. Won over longer here last season and with Pierre-Yves Verva in the bike will be afforded every chance
- KEZIO JOSSELYN – Made it 2 on the trot when comfortably winning a 2500m Reims Class E a month back. Like a horse reborn since having shoes removed and the 3-timer is well within his capacity
- KOSTELLO DE LOU – Imposed at Divonne-les-Bains in August before being denied a run at Vincennes on 12 September, finishing 11th of 13 in a 2100m Class E. Showed form that day and can play a leading role if kept out of harm’s way
- KIT ANGOT – Oddly below-par 6th of 16 in a 2050m Laval Class E 3 weeks ago. Left a good impression here in August but is still not a priority
- KREIZ DE PRAT GUEN – Last of 11 when prepping for this in a 2750m Cabourg Class E 2 weeks ago. Has never disappointed when barefoot and the Paul Ploquin-factor cannot be ignored
- KUROKO LAUAR – Placed at La Capelle before finishing 9th of 11 in a 2700m Vincennes Class E last week. Is proven here, races barefoot this time, and should not be overlooked
- KRACUS DE GUEZ – Last but one, a place behind KUROKO LAUAR (9), in a 2700m Vincennes Class E on 7 September. Is still being conditioned and can be ignored
- KAISER BEGONIA – Was going well when eliminated in a 2150m Vichy Class E on 20 September. Is easy to like at the moment and can finish close if Thomas Constans keeps him focused
- KING DE FOURCHES – 2nd of 14 in a 2800m Rambouillet Class F on 21 September. Is clearly in form but steps up in category and represents a minor place chance at best
Summary: Unbeaten in two since starting to race barefoot, KEZIO JOSSELYN (5) returns to racing left-handed and is ideally-placed to secure the hat-trick. Franck Ouvrie will still be keeping a watchful eye on the in-form but recently unlucky KOSTELLO DE LOU (6) who starts to his outer, and the spirited KAISER BEGONIA (11) who would have finished close last time had he kept his stride in check. Barefoot as he was when victorious at Caen last month, KREIZ DE PRAT GUEN (8) must be considered a player.

C4 – PRIX DE LA PORTE SAINT-DENIS – 2875m (a2m) – Class D – Mounted – EUR € 59,000 - FASCINANT – 4th at La Capelle before being eliminated in a Class C over course and distance 10 days ago, and is not about to rock the boat
- FLAMBEUR DU DIGEON – Back under the saddle after finishing last but one behind FUN LOVER (3) in a 2850m Vincennes harness Class D 3 weeks ago. Won last time in the discipline but given current condition, others still easier to support
- FUN LOVER – Has been reconfigured after coming 8th of 15 in a 2650m Alencon harness Class D earlier this month. Has shown decent aptitude for the discipline and should have the wherewithal to finish close
- HEADLINE FAC – Returns to a track she appreciates after running 7th of 8 behind HUMOUR FESTIF (5) in a 2175m Vincennes Class D 2.5 weeks ago. Sports 4 pads again but can still get in on the action. First 5
- HUMOUR FESTIF – 5th of 8 finishers in a 2175m Class D here 2.5 weeks ago. Thrives at Enghien and will be expected to contest the finish
- HESCORT LOVE – Lacklustre 10th of 18 in a 2800m Rambouillet harness Class E 11 days ago. Shod for the first time in the discipline and can play a role if Benjamin Chauve-Laffay keeps him focused
- HELIUM DE L’ITON – 7th across town before being eliminated in a 2450m Caen Class D last Saturday. Has previously scored under these conditions but would be preferred with 4 pads fitted
- HORSY ROYAL – 11th of 13 when preparing for this in a 2700m harness Class C at Le Croise-Laroche on 1 October. Always gives his best in the monte code and with the in-form Antonin Andre aboard this time, will be afforded every chance
- GRANIT DU FRESNE – Eliminated in a 3000m harness Class D at Salon-de-Provence on 20 September. Has never shown any aptitude for the monte code and can be ruled out
- HOLD UP DES VENTES – 6th of 14 on re-entry in a 2450m Caen harness Class D last Saturday. Has won 4 from 6 under the saddle and can get straight down to business
- GALOPIN DE MARTHE – Back in his code of choice after coming 12th of 14 behind HOLD UP DES VENTES (10) in a 2450m Caen harness Class D conditioner last Saturday. Won last 3 monte starts, including over course and distance, and will have his chances
Summary: Superb in this branch of the business, and already a winner under these conditions, HOLD UP DES VENTES (10) gave a good account under harness on his recent comeback and returns to the ridden code with every chance of imposing. HUMOUR FESTIF (5) appreciates these conditions and should not be too hastily-judged for his recent Vincennes performance. Competitively-shod following a pair of harness fresheners, GALOPIN DE MARTHE (11) looks a serious proposition. FUN LOVER (3) has not been seen under the saddle since May 2024 but presents decent references, sports front pads, and will not be far from the truth.

Is shod to preference for return to competition and at this level cannot be ruled out
- IT’S EAGLE COGLAIS – 8th of 12 in 30 September race of reference. Has been off the boil for some time and can expect to have few takers
- JOCE JISCE – Back under harness after finishing 6th of 9 in a 3175m Saint-Omer monte Class F last Sunday. Nicely-drawn but chances still slim
- JUBY DE BAILLY – Last of 12 to JACKPOT DES BORDES (11) in a 2875m claimer here a week ago. Lost his way after the spring and has no possible chance
- INSTAGRAM – Unexceptional 6th of 8 finishers in a 2500m Class F at Bihorel-les-Rouen last weekend and will not be spicing things up
- ICARE DE LA DORETE – 7th of 12 behind INFERNAL SPIRIT (8) in a 2850m Vincennes claimer on 30 September. Raced honourably that day but still has more to find
- IL MIO – Pleased in 2 of last 3, latterly 4th of 15 in a 2675m Alencon claimer earlier this month. In better company this time but seldom lets the side down at this level and can pick up some prizemoney
- INFERNAL SPIRIT – Encouraging 4th of 12 finishers in a 2850m Vincennes claimer on 30 September. In the hands of Theo Raffin again and looks a player once more
- JAMIROQUAI – 9th of 12 to JACKPOT DES BORDES (11) in a 2875m claimer on comeback here a week ago. Shoes on again and can be ruled out
- JACKPOT DE NILREM – 10th of 18 in a 2650m Alencon monte Class E earlier in the month. Has done nothing noteworthy under harness for some time and is not about to change his ways
- JACKPOT DES BORDES – 14-1 winner of a 2875m claimer here last week. On the back line but with form maintained can go close
- JOG DE JAVIE – Courageous 6th of 12 behind INFERNAL SPIRIT (8) in a 2850m Vincennes claimer on 30 September. Is forced to start on 2nd line but with form maintained can get in on the action
- JAPPELOUP CARNOIS – Close 3rd of 12 to JACKPOT DES BORDES (11) in a 2875m claimer here a week ago. Looked close to his race that day and returns to the venue with a realistic chance of imposing
- JOYCE DE LA COUR – Trounced in last 3, most recently 10th of 12 to JACKPOT DES BORDES (11) in a 2875m claimer here a week ago. Handed a poor draw and can be passed over
- ILLYTRASS – 6th of 15 behind IRON BIRD DEVOL (16) in a 2300m Marseille-Borely Class E on 1 October. Is confirmed in better company and even though sporting pads is still very much in the picture
- IRON BIRD DEVOL – 4th of 15 in a 2300m Marseille-Borely Class E on 1 October. Complicated but has form at a superior level, and despite the tough draw can challenge for the win
Summary: Beaten by just a small margin over longer here last week, JAPPELOUP CARNOIS (13) may not have been handed the best of numbers but is difficult to knock when focused and should have the measure of the field. JACKPOT DES BORDES (11) had his measure that day and can again figure prominently, but may first have to see off the poorly-positioned, but in-form, IRON BIRD DEVOL (16) who appreciates these shorter trips, and INFERNAL SPIRIT (8) who gave a reassuringly good account across town.

C6 – PRIX DE RIBEMONT – 2875m (a2m) – Class B – Harness – EUR € 43,000 - NORDIC GIRL – Eliminated in both starts to date, most recently a 2150m Class C here 2.5 weeks ago, and others easier to trust
- NIKITA GOLD – 7th of 9 behind NOVA ISTORIA CHOC (7) in a 2150m Class C here 2.5 weeks ago. Seems considerably better than that though and with her mind on the game should not be far off the mark
- NATASHA DES BAUX – Debuted respectably but was quickly eliminated in a 2150m Class C here late last month and not an obvious choice
- NASHIRA RUSCINO – Qualified nicely at Laval last month before running 4th of 7 finishers to NEBELINE LEMAN (5) in a 2500m Class E at Bihorel-les-Rouen on 5 October, and will need to find more
- NEBELINE LEMAN – Lost her maiden tag in a 2500m Class E at Bihorel-les-Rouen on 5 October. Faces a tougher bunch here but in this small field is unlikely to go home empty-handed
- NANIKA DU PONT – Raced better in a 2150m Class C here last week than her 3rd of 8 would suggest. Will be better off over 2875m and will have claims on a place in the frame
- NOVA ISTORIA CHOC – Won on Rambouillet turf early last month at first time of asking, then 3rd of 9 finishers in a 2150m Class C here 2.5 weeks ago. Patently has a bright future and should be good enough to trot her way onto the podium
- NEW HOLIDAY – Got off the mark mid-August before running 2nd of 7 in a 2225m Ecommoy Class C late that month. Has yet to put a foot wrong and makes her hard-surface bow with every chance of getting her nose in front
Summary: It’s always an interesting time of year when juveniles hit the racecourses and especially those under the Duvaldestin banner, namely the progressive NEW HOLIDAY (8) who makes her metropolitan debut with a decent chance of making it a successful one. NANIKA DU PONT (6) will be able to put up a decent fight if she manages to replicate last week’s performance. NOVA ISTORIA CHOC (7) is a filly with bags of untapped potential and should take well to the extended trip.

C7 – PRIX DE LA MUETTE – 2250m (a1m1/2) – Class D – Mounted – EUR € 40,000 - LADY VICTORY – Eliminated in a 2550m Reims Class E on 14 September. Is no slouch on a good day but with pads fitted is unlikely to influence the outcome
- LEA DE FROULAY – Has not been seen out since losing her action in a 2700m Vincennes Class C last January. As talented as they come but is also as temperamental as they get, and is going to need the race
- LUXUEUSE DANICA – Hardy element that ran 6th of 7 finishers, on comeback, behind LOU DES COUPERIES (4) in a 2550m Reims Class F on 14 September. Hard to knock when fit and barefoot and must not be underestimated
- LOU DES COUPERIES – In the frame in last 2 monte starts, latterly 3rd of 7 finishers in a 2550m Reims Class F on 14 September. Goes well in the day’s configuration and Enghien should suit her to a tee. First 5
- LA STORIA DE LOU – Failed to confirm Divonne-les-Bains victory when eliminated in a 2700m Vincennes Class D on 18 September. Gets another shot at it and with application can run into the money
- LILIEME FOR CLARA – 4th of 7 finishers in a 2700m Vincennes Class D on 18 September. Will be shod as she was that day and although not a priority is still worth keeping an eye on
- LALIGA DEL PHEDO – Made up for Cabourg elimination when 3rd of 8 finishers in a 2700m Vincennes Class D in late-August. Comes here fresh and barefoot, and looks competitively well in
- LACINIA – Respectable 3rd here in early-August before losing her action in a 2700m Vincennes Class D later in the month. Seldom disappoints when applied and will be no pushover
- LINE MAJYC – Authoritative winner across town before coming 7th of 18 in a 2800m Cordemais harness Class B on 5 October. Has been specifically prepared for this and Florian Desmigneux will be determined to make hay. Claim
- LEGEND DARLING – Well-beaten 4th of 8 in a Class D over track and trip 10 days ago and is not about to shake things up
Summary: Easy winner over a similar distance at Vincennes early last month, LINE MAJYC (9) goes barefoot again and appears to be in with a realistic shout of confirming. Florian Desmigneux will nevertheless be mindful of the complicated LACINIA (8) who ran a respectable race here in August, and LUXUEUSE DANICA (3) who will have come on for last month’s return run. LALIGA DEL PHEDO (7) seldom disappoints under the saddle and will have a lot to contribute if she takes to the new profile.

C8 – PRIX DE MONTRESOR – 2150m (a1m1/4) – Class E Amateur Drivers – Harness – EUR € 12,000 - IDAO NAY – Easy winner in this category at Vincennes before coming 3rd of 15 in a 2650m Alencon Class D on 5 October. Starts on the inside but should still prove dangerous at the business end of the race
- HEMILIO PIERJI – Lost his action in a 2100m Vincennes Class E a fortnight ago. Is well-placed in front but in present form is not easy to recommend
- HERMES HAUFOR – Takes first steps in the amateur division after finishing last but one in a 2600m Morlaix Class F 2.5 weeks ago and is not about to create an upset
- INTREPIDE DES BOIS – 4th of 11 finishers in a 2875m Class D here early last week. Sports shoes this time but has pulled a good number and must be taken seriously
- JUNGLE GREEN – Makes just 2nd amateur start after winning a 2725m Graignes Class F 3 weeks ago. Placed under these conditions during the summer and must be considered a contender
- HOUSTON DE CUIGNY – Followed up a solid monte performance with 2nd of 15 in a 2700m Segre Class F 11 days ago. Breaks in front and looks a respectable place prospect
- GUNNER – Debuts for new trainer after being eliminated in a 2300m Marseille-Borely Class E a fortnight ago. Has evident ability, goes barefoot for the occasion, and will have his chances if he stays in stride
- I LOVE JOSSELYN – Last of 15 when preparing for this in a Class E over course and distance late last month. Is in competition mode this time and even though breaking wide can still win this
- JOB DU PERSIL – Eliminated in last 2, most recently a 3125m Angers Class F on 1 October. Shoes on and best to hold off
- INDUCTIF – Eliminated at Arras before running 6th of 9 to INTREPIDE DES BOIS (4) in a 2700m Class F at La Capelle early last month and will need to raise his game
- HEROS DHELPA – 10th of 12 finishers to JUNGLE GREEN (5) in a 2725m Graignes Class F 3 weeks ago. Races barefoot this time but reliability not his strong suit and others preferred
- HAMPTON DU VIVIER – 8th of 11 finishers in a 2875m monte Class D here 2.5 weeks ago. Has other ambitions and will have little to offer

- IDOLE STAR – Out of the picture in 3 before winning at Le Touquet in July, latterly 9th of 16 in a 2750m Class F at La Capelle 3.5 weeks ago. Sports 4 pads this time and cannot be considered a priority
- GOLD DE JADE – 6th of 15 to INFERNO POURPRE (16) in a 2200m Caen amateurs Class F a month ago. Is forced to endure a hard number here and is unlikely to make much of an impact
- INFERNO POURPRE – Ran 2nd at Vincennes before winning a 2200m Caen amateurs Class F a month ago. has never disappointed at this level and even though unfavourably-drawn will still be expected to get in on the action
Summary: Off the track for an extended period, I LOVE JOSSELYN (8) has a pair of runs in him by now, sports a new configuration, and at this level of competition can impose. He will still face significant resistance from the better-positioned JUNGLE GREEN (5) who imposed in the professional ranks late last month, and IDAO NAY (1) who has not put a foot wrong recently. In the frame in 4 of his last 5 starts, HOUSTON DE CUIGNY (6) must be respected.
