R1 VINCENNES [L-H]
C1 – PRIX DE SILLE LE GUILLAUME – 2850m (a2m) – Class C – Harness – EUR € 68,000
- GO AWAY BIRD – Modest trotter that failed to make any impact on his recent comeback and has no possible chance
- FERVENTE – By no means the worst horse here but is still in conditioning-mode and can be ruled out
- DOZEN OF OYSTERS – Previously a good sort in Sweden but was subsequently sidelined through injury. Has been active in Finland since, and races barefoot this time, but may just be taking on too much
- L.A.BOKO – Quality element that gave a good account on recent Argentan comeback. Is in competition-mode this time and with Matthieu Abrivard at the helm must be considered a player
- FOGO PICO – Complicated individual that lost his action on comeback here 2 weeks ago. Is no slouch when applied but others still easier to trust
- HUGO OCCAGNES – Starts for first time since running 7th of 11 in a monte Class D here 2 months ago and with shoes on has nothing to offer
- HALMA D’AMER – Has struggled since the summer to replicate last season’s form and will need to show improvement on latest run at La Capelle
- IVANOF – Last of 11 on re-entry in a 2700m Class B here 12 days ago. Is being prepared for a monte campaign and can be passed over
- ICARE DU BERYL – Makes maiden Vincennes appearance following a brace of good efforts in the provinces, most recently 4th in a Salon Gr.3. Can play a role if he turns, and the engagement of Franck Nivard will do his chances no harm
- POWER DOC – Has taken his game to a new level since leaving Sweden. Goes over any trip and will be heavily-backed to complete the hat-trick
- HARDI CROWN – Pleased on Caen re-entry before running 5th in a monte Class D here a fortnight ago. Is not about to create an upset but is clearly in form and has the wherewithal to finish in the mix
- GANGSTER DAVANESS – Unremarkable trotter that has done nothing noteworthy under harness for over a year, and current numbers do nothing to inspire confidence
- HOCHE – Versatile sort with a race in him following the summer break. Presents solid Vincennes credentials and with application can finish close
- IMPERATOR D’ELA – Has come out the other side of a difficult period, placing in a Châtelaillon Gr.3 earlier in the month. Has a particular liking for Vincennes and with form maintained can play an active role
- COLBERT WF – Barring the occasional elimination is highly-performant. Has a particular liking for 2850m here and Eric Raffin will be determined to set the record straight
Summary: A veritable dynamo since coming to France, POWER DOC (10) swept away all before him here 3 weeks ago and has every chance of keeping his unbeaten Vincennes record intact. Eliminated that day when going well, the nicely-engaged COLBERT WF (15) will be no pushover if Eric Raffin keeps him focused. Confirmed under these conditions last June, L.A.BOKO (4) has a race under his belt and will be barefoot for the first time in over 2 years. Similarly unshod following a return run, HOCHE (13) should not be far from the truth. IMPERATOR D’ELA (14) enjoys a good entry, showed marked improvement at Châtelaillon, appreciates the main-track profile, and must be respected.

C2 – PRIX URGENT – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Gr3 – Mounted – EUR € 80,000 - MIRATISSIME – Disappointing ion the whole since returning after the summer break and will struggle to make her presence felt
- MADAME CHENU – Has shown considerable flair for the monte discipline but is taking on too much this time
- MONTANA WOOD – Put 5 straight eliminations behind him to come 3rd to MACK DAIRPET (10) in a Class B under these conditions 10 days ago. Has shown improvement since changing yards and with application can go close
- MEPHISTO DU CLOS – Runner-up in last 2, most recently to MACK DAIRPET (10) in a Class B under these conditions 10 days ago. Thrives over 2700m here and will be expected to contest the finish
- MAGNOLIADARCHE – Returns to code of preference after a trio of harness conditioners, but still faces a stiff test
- MILOR DE LA VALLEE – Takes a dip in category after running 4th in Gr.2 Prix Louis Tillaye here 3 weeks ago. Has demonstrated significant aptitude for the code and has every chance of picking up a cheque
- MANITAS DE TRUCHON – 3rd in Gr.1 Saint Léger des Trotteurs at Caen before coming 5th, a place behind MILOR DE LA VALLEE (6), in Gr.2 Prix Louis Tillaye here 3 weeks ago. Is unlikely to spring any surprises but should nevertheless hold her own
- MORPHEUS DU LOISIR – Won 3 on the trot, twice under the saddle, before being given a harness freshener 2 weeks ago. Is plainly a colt for the future and can make this his own
- MALICE CAILLERIE – Undeniably capable but has struggled with stride woes for some time and others easier to support
- MACK DAIRPET – Occasionally a handful but has otherwise been hard to fault lately, winning twice over track and trip. Simply superb last time and will be expected to bring the fight to MORPHEUS DU LOISIR (8)
Summary: Undefeated in 2 ridden starts over course and distance, MORPHEUS DU LOISIR (8) returns to the discipline after being conditioned under harness and looks the one to beat. Alexandre Abrivard will still be keeping a keen eye on MACK DAIRPET (10) who steps up in class after dominating a Class B over track and trip. MEPHISTO DU CLOS (4) and MONTANA WOOD (3) ran 2nd and 3rd respectively to him that day, are both close to their races, and should not be far from the action.

C3 – PRIX DE VALENCE-SUR-BAISE – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 35,000 - MELODY DE L’EPINE – Unremarkable filly that has placed just once in 6 starts to date. Faces a big challenge this time and is unlikely to influence the outcome
- MATINA D’ORLY – Steps up in category after a brace of solid performances at a lower level, but has a lot more to find on this occasion
- MY CHARMING – Has a pair of runs in her since the layoff, most recently 6th behind MARANELLA (6) at Laval. Alexis Collette in the bike this time but still no more than a minor place chance
- MAYA D’AVRIL – 11th of 13 behind MARANELLA (6) at Laval on 7 November. Showed promise earlier in the year but is going to need another run
- MY DARLING HAUFOR – Solid in both starts in the spring. Left a good impression on re-entry at Saint-Brieuc 3.5 weeks ago, will have come on for the run, and is unlikely to go home empty-handed
- MARANELLA – Interesting future prospect that ran 4th of 16 in a Laval Class E, on comeback, 2 weeks ago. Entrusted to Benjamin Rochard this time and will not be available at 52-1
- MACCHIAVELLA – Spirited sort with decent provincial credentials but eliminated in 4 of last 5 and can be passed over
- MY LOVE AFFAIR – Made up for Saint-Brieuc elimination when 5th in a 2850m Laval Class E a fortnight ago. Should take well to Vincennes conditions and can finish closer this time
- MADISON DE MAHEY – Eliminated more often than not, but has merit nevertheless. Has yet to deliver racing left-handed but is not one to be underestimated
- MAGIQUE HAUFOR – Quickly eliminated, but subsequently showed her form, in a 2100m Class E over the inner course late last month. With application should be able to wrap this up
- MAGIC GIRL – Out of the picture in last 2, latterly last but one in a Reims Class E 10 days ago, and can be disregarded
- MA BIMBO – Has finally started to come good, winning 2 of last 3, latterly with consummate ease, and can figure prominently if she keeps trotting
- MA LIBERTE – Has won 2 of the 3 races she has finished, most recently a Pornichet Class E with ease. Is reunited with her trainer and will be no soft touch if she stays in stride
Summary: Twice a winner in the provinces before being eliminated early over the short course 3 weeks ago, the progressive MAGIQUE HAUFOR (10) takes to the main track for the first time and can return to successful ways provided Damien Bonne keeps her trotting. She can still expect to feel the heat from Mathieu Mottier’s complicated but capable MA LIBERTE (13) who enjoys a terrific entry here. MARANELLA (6) has yet to lose her maiden tag but gave a fine account on her recent return to competition and will have progressed for the run. A place behind her that day, MY LOVE AFFAIR (8) has shown a lot of promise and is unlikely to let the side down.

C4 – PRIX DE BEAUVOIR – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 35,000 - LOOK MATYSS – Has turned a corner since starting to race barefoot, latterly 5th of 13 behind LUCIFER DU CAIEU (9) in a Class E over course and distance 2.5 weeks ago, and despite the draw still looks competitive for a place in the mix
- LATHOS DE VIVOIN – Honest sort making first appearance since early-September. Is barefoot for the occasion and although not a priority, is still worth keeping an eye on
- LORENZO GEDE – Enjoyed a fruitful summer but out of sorts in last 2. Runs barefoot from the 3-spot though and should not be written off
- LIKE MESLOIS – 3rd over 2850m here a week ago. Has no references over these shorter trips but is hard to fault when barefoot and from the 4-spot will have his chances
- LUGANO – Decent trotter with a pair of return runs under his belt. Has shown potential when barefoot, pleased on last start under these conditions, and must not be overlooked
- LITTLE DRAGON – Showed improvement in a Reims monte Class F 10 days ago. Ran 6th in 3 November race of reference but others still easier to back
- LISCADO DE HOUELLE – Serious colt with a liking for Vincennes but has not been seen out since May and best to keep one’s powder dry
- LOQUIDY – Seen more often than not racing clockwise, but has solid left-handed credentials, and will have a lot to contribute if he takes to the new conditions
- LUCIFER DU CAIEU – Hardy element that showed a lot of courage under these conditions 2.5 weeks ago. Faces a less-exalted bunch this time and can impose if Nicolas Bazire successfully negotiates the start
- LOIR ET CHER – Capricious sort that has previously placed here but 3 straight eliminations do nothing to inspire confidence
- LYPSTIC ATOUT – Showed improvement when 2nd in a Châtelaillon Class F earlier in the month but has little going for him here
- LOVE YOU PHYT’S – Returns to the main track after running 3rd of 16 in a 2200m Class E here 10 days ago. Starts on 2nd row though and represents no more than a minor place chance
- LUDIVER DES VAUX – Total disappointment for over a year. Has not raced since August and has no realistic chance
- LUX DE LA MESLIERE – Eliminated on return to competition here a month ago. Has previously won over the main track but looks an outsider this time around
- LORD FROMENTRO – Eliminated on re-entry here earlier in the month. Has bags of ability though, and with application can defy the draw and give this a good go
- LORKY RED – Respectable at a lower level and has failed to finish his last 5 races without faulting. Disregard
Summary: Fourth over course and distance on her first objective of the winter meeting, LUCIFER DU CAIEU (9) may not have been blessed with a good draw but it will not be long before she returns to the winners’ circle. Opposition takes the form of LIKE MESLOIS (4) who is ideally-positioned behind the car, and the talented but tricky, and barefoot, LORD FROMENTRO (15) who has already won over course and distance. LOQUIDY (8) has not missed a beat since returning from his layoff and has been reconfigured for his Vincennes debut.

C5 – PRIX DE PICARDIE – 2850m (a2m) – Class A – Harness – EUR € 62,000 - OMERTA BOKO – 2nd in a Swedish Derby qualifier in late-August before finishing last of 9 in said Derby on 7 September. Unseen since and not an obvious choice, barefoot or not
- FUNKY ROC – Blows hot and cold but showed some form at home in Italy early this month. Imposed last time at Vincennes and, barefoot for the occasion, can get in on the action
- LAST MAN – Opened his autumn account at Le Croisé-Laroche before running 4th in a 2700m Class B here earlier in the month. Cannot be regarded a priority but races barefoot and can get a look in
- LUTIN VENESI – Quality element with a race under his belt since the summer break, but would be preferred barefoot
- FAKIR ROC – Dependable Italian colt that has not been seen out since late-August. Sports a fresh configuration for comeback though and is unlikely to cause an upset
- ALADIN (GER) – German Derby runner-up making Vincennes debut after a solid performance in a valuable 4yo race at Berlin-Mariendorf a month ago. Gabriele Gelormini in the bike for the occasion and will be expected to contest the finish
- LUTIN DE REUX – Unable to confirm Beaumont-de-Lomagne victory when 6th behind LAST MAN (3) in a 2700m Class B here on 8 October. Takes on a tough lot here and chances appear limited
- LIZZANO D’ALOUETTE – Useful sort but starts for the first time since May and is going to need the race
- LARA DU GOUTIER – Ran 2nd in a Gr.2 before coming 8th of 17 in Critérium des 4 Ans on 13 September. Comes here fresh and barefoot and while no particular fan of 2850m, she can still make her presence felt at this level
- LAPIS LAZULI – Has ample ability but is a difficult colt to handle. Back under harness following a short rest but others still preferred
- FELLOW WISE AS – Quixotic but capable colt making first appearance since failing to fire in a 2100m Class A here in late-September. Races barefoot for first time though and will not be far off the mark if he stays in stride
- LIBERTE DE CHOISEL – Top-flight filly with an 80 percent win-rate, including a Gr.2 here. Won her only start under these conditions, and will have come on for her return run. Claim
- LUSH LIFE – Makes first racecourse appearance since running 6th behind LARA DU GOUTIER (9) in a 2700m Gr.2 here in late-August. Barefoot for re-entry though and will have been prepared for this. Attention
- LISSANDRO – Eliminated early in a Laval Class B earlier this month. Is plainly a highly-talented colt and will be no pushover if he keeps his mind on the game
- LASKO DES BROUSSES – Returns to the harness code after running good 2nd in a Laval monte Class A over the distance. Benefits from a good entry and should figure prominently at the business end of the race
Summary: Put away after winning the Gr.2 Prix Guy le Gonidec in June, LIBERTE DE CHOISEL (12) was never pushed on her re-entry but left a good impression all the same, and can impose this time. She will however be pitted against German-bred ALADIN (GER) (6) who has been reconfigured for his French bow. Justifiably well-regarded, LISSANDRO (14) races barefoot following a pair of conditioners and will be dangerous if JMB manages to keep him focused. LASKO DES BROUSSES (15) goes particularly well for Eric Raffin and simply thrives at Vincennes.

C6 – PRIX DE MONTELIMAR – 2850m (a2m) – Class C – Harness – EUR € 46,000 - LALUNA DES FORGES – Steps up in category after running 3rd to LOUISA D’ATOUT (12) in a Class D here 3 weeks ago. Has never failed to deliver here when barefoot but in this company will have her work cut out
- LAREDO BAY – Handy filly that has started to show a liking for Vincennes but has not raced since mid-August and may just be a race shy
- LIBERTY PAT – Ran close 2nd of 16 in a 2700m Class C here on 17 October. Returns with morale intact and is not incapable of getting her nose in front
- LUMINEUSE DE BRION – Quality filly that has not been rushed following her break. Imposed at this level earlier in the year and will have her chances if she takes to the particularities of 2850m over the main track
- LILI DRY – Has done nothing but improve lately, lastly 2nd of 13 in a 2100m Class D here last week, but takes on a tougher bunch here and chances limited
- LOLA DU CAMPUS – Produced career-best time when 4th of 14, a place behind LOTTA LOVE (15), in a 2700m Class B here on 17 October. Is barefoot again but has delivered just once over the main track and not an obvious choice
- LIBERTA MESLOISE – Competitively-shod after finishing last but one in a Graignes Class B conditioner on 12 October. Won at this level during the summer but not a contender this time
- LILY DE L’AUNAY – Disappointing in last 2, latterly eliminated in an Argentan Class A 2.5 weeks ago, and will have nothing to contribute
- LERIKA DU CHENE – Failed to confirm 19 November victory when dominated under similar conditions 2 weeks later. Trainer in the bike this time and others preferred
- LEDA MESLOISE – A promising future prospect with 4 conditioners in her since the lengthy break. Is already a winner with Eric Raffin and looks a possible spoiler this time around
- LUNGA DES BROUSSES – Showed improvement when 2nd of 11 in a Graignes Class B last month but is biting off more than she can chew
- LOUISA D’ATOUT – Finished a place behind LIBERTY PAT (3) before comfortably winning a Class D over 2700m 3 weeks ago. Steps up in category but still looks a decent place prospect
- LETTRE D’AMOUR – Faces first objective of the meeting after a pair of lacklustre return runs. Races barefoot this time but still not a concern
- LAGUNE PIYA – 5th of 14, a place behind LOVELY DU VALLON (16), in a Class C under these conditions on 24 October. Is arguably better over shorter but has won over a similar trip and must be retained
- LOTTA LOVE – Won a Class C here early last month before coming 3rd in a Class B. Is not a priority but in current condition is still worth monitoring
- LOVELY DU VALLON – Put a pair of eliminations behind her to finish 4th in a 2100m Class C here on 24 October. Was not the luckiest that day, enjoys a good entry, and cannot be ruled out
Summary: A winner here during the spring, LUMINEUSE DE BRION (4) has had the benefit of 3 conditioners, is shod to preference for her first goal of the winter, and can bring home the bacon. It has taken little time for LIBERTY PAT (3) to get back in the game and the engagement of JMB could make all the difference. LEDA MESLOISE (10) has shown a liking for Vincennes, races first-time barefoot, and Eric Raffin will be licking his lips in anticipation. LOUISA D’ATOUT (12) won more easily here late last month than it would appear and despite the hike in category can still challenge for a place on the podium.

C7 – PRIX DE L’ILE DE RE – 2850m (a2m) – Class B – Mounted – EUR € 75,000 - JOY ALISSA – Capable on a good day but takes on some serious horses this time and will have little to contribute
- BEAT GENERATION – Pleasant but unthreatening 4th in an Argentan Class A 2.5 weeks ago. Has done nothing of note here since February 2024 and is not about to change his ways
- ISLAMORADA – Won over 2700m here in August before being sent for a rest. Has a race under her belt since returning to the track and is not incapable of picking up where she left off
- HIS DREAM DE CAHOT – Consistently in the thick of things these days, most recently ran good 2nd in a Nantes Class D a fortnight ago, but cannot be considered a priority on this occasion
- IMAGINE D’ATOUT – Gave a good account of herself in a Class C under these conditions 2 weeks ago despite being eliminated. Races barefoot this time and with application will not be far off the mark
- GALA D’URFIST – Serious individual with nothing to prove at this level. Is shod to preference but has just the one run in him and others easier to trust
- HALICIA BELLA – Quality mare that defied her odds early this month when 3rd in a Laval Class A and with form maintained can challenge for a place in the picture this time
- GO OR NOT – Drops back to a more reasonable level after running 6th in a Gr.2 conditioner here 2.5 weeks ago. Goes barefoot this time, has form at this level, but looks a minor place chance at best
- EROS ZOLA – Put on quite the show to beat a good 6yo in a Gr.3 under these conditions a week ago. Alexandre Abrivard is 2 for 2 with him and is easy to fancy for a repeat
- IDEAL DU ROCHER – A classy trotter under harness taking to the monte code for first time, and with Mathieu Mottier in the irons, looks the main danger to EROS ZOLA (9)
- FILOU D’ANJOU – Shod to preference after a pair of fresheners in the provinces. Won a Gr.3 over course and distance last winter and if fully fit can get in on the action
Summary: Although seldom seen under the saddle, EROS ZOLA (9) is still undefeated in this branch of the business and Alexandre Abrivard will be determined to keep that fact relevant. The main threat should logically come from stablemate IDEAL DU ROCHER (10) who has done enough under harness to be considered a serious proposition on his monte bow. Simply superb when applied, ISLAMORADA (3) is 25m better off and barefoot following her return run. HALICIA BELLA (7) left a fine impression on her return to the code at Laval recently and, even though on the back line, Guillaume Martin will be keen to take advantage of her form.

C8 – PRIX DE LA CAMARGUE – 2850m (a2m) – Class C – Harness – EUR € 53,000 - DOMINGO BAR – Out of the picture in all 7 Vincennes starts and has no chance on first appearance since April
- DE GAULLE GRIF – Quality element that has endured an interrupted career. Is shod for re-entry and best to wait
- FIORANO – Pleasant sort at home in his native Italy but has yet to deliver in France and is not about to start now
- JIPET DE CREPIN – Has a trio of conditioners under his belt after the summer break. Seldom disappoints when barefoot, is as tenacious as they get, and has a realistic chance of opening his winter account
- JESTA BUISSONAY – No slouch on a good day but has just the one race under her belt and with shoes on is best to leave alone
- JERZINHO SPORT – Has hardly put a foot wrong for past 5 months, most recently imposing over track and trip. Takes on some better horses this time but still looks competitive for a place in the frame
- JIZOU D’ETANG – 2nd of 18 in a 3125m Angers Class E on 11 October. Has won twice over the main track and, with form maintained, will be no easy touch
- JEWEL DE BANVILLE – Reliability not his strong suit but ran good 4th of 13 in a 2700m monte Class D here late last month. Goes barefoot for the first time and will have a lot to offer if Gabriele Gelormini keeps him focused
- JALIMEDE – Won for the first time in 20 months when easily lifting a Chartres Class E on 16 October. Has never produced the goods over 2850m of the main track though and others preferred
- DYLAN DOG FONT – Gave a fine account to come 6th in a Beaumont Class D on 22 October. Franck Nivard in the bike this time and, reverting to an earlier formula, is not incapable of making first 5
- JAPAROV LIRE – Is back barefoot after a Caen conditioner on 11 October. Has never disappointed under these conditions and while not an obvious contender, is still worth keeping an eye on
- JOCONDE TURGOT – Faithful mare that ran 2nd of 15 in a 3000m Marseille-Borely Class E on 10 October. Has never failed to deliver at Vincennes, goes well over these longer trips, and the engagement of Eric Raffin speaks volumes
- JOBSPOST – Classy Swedish raider making Vincennes debut on a 6-timer. Has demonstrated excellent versatility and is very easy to fancy for the win
- JAIN MAB – Raced better in a Bordeaux Class C last week than her 3rd of 12 would suggest. Consistently gives her best here and, although not a priority, is still worth retaining
Summary: An exceptional campaigner at home in the nordics, JOBSPOST (13) comes to France after winning 9 of his last 10 starts. He may never have raced beyond 2640m but looks the sort that can do well at Vincennes and Benjamin Rochard can be justifiably confident of a big run. He will still be mindful though of the spirited JIPET DE CREPIN (4) who won his only start under these conditions, and a reconfigured JIZOU D’ETANG (7) who went close at Angers last week. JERZINHO SPORT (6) showed a lot of courage to win under these conditions early this month and can again finish close.

Summary: ODEMAR (8) has strong credentials after a win at Haras Du Pin in a Class 4 race in mid-October when last racing. His main danger could be WARDAMA (3), who ran well enough at Le Mans recently, which came after a win at this track at this track in September in a Class 3 handicap. - RUE MIA – Numerous unplaced runs, 9th on her last run over 1400m at Le Mans in a Class 4 handicap. One to pass over
Summary: WRONG COLOUR (13) is at the right end of the handicap and will be in a good frame of mind after scoring at Fontainebleau earlier this month over 1200m. She is given the nod ahead of KING RETURN (1), who can give a good account of himself from top weight. NOBLE COTAI (9) is a capable performer and was a decent second two runs back at Toulouse. He warrants respect, as does BLUE DREAM (10), who looks best of the rest.
