French Selections Saturday 29th

R1 VINCENNES [L-H]

C1 – PRIX DE SABLE SUR SARTHE – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class D – Mounted – EUR € 46,000

  1. KAVIASE – Unlucky 2nd, admittedly to a good horse, in a Class E over course and distance 3 weeks ago. Is behind in earnings and Alexandre Abrivard will be eager to put things right
  2. KAMPALA DU DAMIER – Makes the long trip to the capital after easily winning a Toulouse Class F a fortnight ago. Ran 2nd on lone start here but faces a much stiffer test this time around
  3. KLASSICA DESBOIS – Respectable mare that ran 4th to KAMPALA DU DAMIER (2) in a Toulouse Class F mid-month and is not about to shake things up
  4. KANSAS DU HOCTI – Beat KENYAN BLUES (7) when 2nd in a Class D over course and distance early last month. Has since been conditioned under harness and, barefoot this time, is unlikely to be out of the picture
  5. KACEY BELL – Enjoyed a fruitful run of form here last winter but has been less performant of late and returns to the discipline with little to contribute
  6. KAISER CHANCE – Tends to go well under the saddle and will be shod as he was when victorious at Cavaillon in the spring, but is still taking on too much
  7. KENYAN BLUES – Commanding winner of a Class D over track and trip 8 days ago. Takes on a better lot this time but it will not stop Eric Raffin from giving the double a good shot
  8. KOALA – Should not be condemned for losing his action on comeback here a month ago. Benjamin Rochard in the irons this time and can go close if he keeps his charge trotting
  9. KOBALT DU VALLON – Occasionally a handful but always game. Drops down the category-ladder and is not incapable of picking up some minor-place prizemoney
  10. KENTUCKY FIRST – High-calibre sort with a race under his belt after losing his action under these conditions on 23 September. Thrives over 2700m here and has every chance of winning this
  11. KAGNOTTE D’AZIF – Returns to a discipline she appreciates after failing to deliver here earlier in the month. Has won 50 percent of her ridden races but is unlikely to create an upset
Summary: Back in his code of preference after a freshener under harness, KENTUCKY FIRST (10) has nothing to prove under these conditions, and in the day’s configuration can open his winter account. He should nevertheless feel the heat from recent course-and-distance winner KENYAN BLUES (7) who simply excels with Eric Raffin. KOALA (8) won under these conditions last winter and will not be far from the action if fully-fit. Competitively-shod this time, KAVIASE (1) could well have maintained her unbeaten monte record had she not been denied a run here earlier this month.

    C2 – PRIX DES DAHLIAS – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class B – Harness – EUR € 43,000
  12. NEMOS DU GOUTIER – Runner-up on debut at Reims on 19 October before repeating behind NOB HILL (6) over the inner course on 10 November. Has ground to make up but should hold his own nonetheless
  13. NINO TOSCA – Useful colt that will have come on for his comeback run at Graignes 2.5 weeks ago, but still seems to be taking on too much
  14. NEEL AR MOR – Has started to come good following a tough start to his career but, in this company, can expect to find himself outclassed
  15. NANO UP STAR – Lost his maiden status at Beaumont-de-Lomagne on 1 October but will need to improve on recent 4th of 9 behind NUEVO CASH (5) in a Class C here on 18 November
  16. NUEVO CASH – Made amends for Enghien elimination when 3rd of 11 in a 2100m Class C here on 18 November. Is not as good as his stable companion but can still finish thereabouts
  17. NOB HILL – High-calibre colt that stormed up in a Class D over the inner course on 10 November. Should take well to main track profile and will be expected to maintain his unbeaten status
  18. NONONINO – Stylish winner on Caen debut in September before repeating in an Enghien Class C 2 months ago. Will have freshness on his side and the hat-trick is not out of the question
  19. NET MONEY – Imposed on re-entry over the short course in late-October but eliminated when going well in a Gr.3 just last weekend. Form is not in question and with application should prove main threat to NOB HILL (6)
  20. NIKKEI PONT ROYAL – Has done everything right so far, latterly 3rd of 7 in a 2200m Class B over the short course early this month, and although unlikely to impose, can nevertheless put in a competitive showing
Summary: Winner at Chateaubriant on his career debut, NOB HILL (6) ran out an unopposed winner over the short course next time. Quite the professional, he takes to the main track for the first time with every chance of confirming. NET MONEY (8), however, is no slouch and will be dangerous if Clement Duvaldestin keeps him trotting. Like Mathieu Mottier’s colt, NONONINO (7) has yet to be beaten, and even though unseen for 2 months, he will be no easy touch. Thierry Duvaldestin’s second offering, NUEVO CASH (5), gave a reassuring account here recently and is unlikely to let the side down.

    C3 – PRIX RAOUL BALLIERE – 2175m (a1m1/4) – Gr2 – Mounted – EUR € 120,000
  21. MOJITO FRAISE – Has 3 runs under his belt since the break. Is new to the code and has not done enough under harness to be considered a player
  22. MELODIE DE BLARY – Unthreatening 5th in Gr.1 Saint Léger des Trotteurs at Caen but failed to make any impression in a 2700m Class B here earlier in the month and can be passed over
  23. MONTANA WOOD – Capricious but first-rate colt stepping back up in class after running 2nd in a 2700m Gr.3 here 9 days ago and merits taking very seriously indeed
  24. MANITAS DE TRUCHON – Handy filly that ran 4th behind MONTANA WOOD (3) 9 days ago but will need to find considerably more
  25. MIRISS DE GUEZ – Returns to the discipline after running 3rd in a 2700m harness Gr.3 here on 6 November. Is plainly on the way back up and will legitimately generate interest
  26. MATIGNON – Ran 2nd of 13 in 2700m Gr.2 Prix Louis Tillaye late last month only to lose it in the stewards’ room. Has never failed to deliver over 2175m here and with stride in check should be able to wrap this up
  27. MELODY DE VIVOIN – Unplaced in 2 since running 3rd to MHUM FLYNG (10) in Gr.2 Prix de Basly in September, and will need to improve on Prix Louis Tillaye performance
  28. MISS DES BESACES – Ran 2nd in a Caen Gr.2 before finishing 3rd in 31 October race of reference. Is unlikely to make the frame this time but can still finish in first 5
  29. MADEMOISELLE JANE – Made up for Saint Léger des Trotteurs elimination when finishing close in Prix Louis Tillaye. Will have her chances if MATIGNON (6) fails to produce the goods, but will otherwise be forced to play second fiddle
  30. MHUM FLYNG – Commanding winner of Gr.2 Prix de Basly in September but eliminated in next 2. Showed his form in Prix Louis Tillaye and on good behaviour can make a big impact
Summary: Undeniably talented but a bridesmaid more often than his trainer would like, MATIGNON (6) returns to a distance he appreciates and can put his Prix Louis Tillaye elimination behind him. A place behind him that day, MADEMOISELLE JANE (9) subsequently picked up 2nd, is confirmed over the distance, and looks the principal danger. Wonderfully capable but not without a temperament, MONTANA WOOD (3) seems close to her race and will be no pushover if his trainer keeps him trotting. MHUM FLYNG (10) has already bagged a pair of Gr.2 races and Victor Saussaye will be mindful to keep him focused.
    SELECTIONS
    MATIGNON (6) – MADEMOISELLE JANE (9) – MONTANA WOOD (3) – MHUM FLYNG (10)
    C4 – PRIX DE SAINT-GEORGES DE DIDONNE – 2850m (a2m) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 59,000
  31. INVICTUS DU DOLLAR – Unluckily eliminated in a Marseille-Borély Class F a fortnight ago. Has won 1 of 2 Vincennes starts and, although not a priority, will be barefoot and worth keeping an eye on
  32. HIPPY DE LA COUDRE – Produced an encouraging run on turf before failing to deliver in a Chartres Class F on 3 November, and can be ignored
  33. INTELLO D’ERABLE – Won a pair on turf during the summer but has been totally off the boil since and will have nothing to offer
  34. HELIOS BONBON – Eliminated in both return runs, most recently over the inner track last Wednesday. Is barefoot this time but still backs up with limited chances
  35. HERMES HAUFOR – Useful on a good day but has been thrashed in last 3 and returns to Vincennes with little to contribute
  36. IMPACT PLAYER – Gave a fine account at Enghien prior to running 4th of 12 in a 2600m Nancy Class F conditioner 3 weeks ago. Has yet to deliver over 2850m here but in present shape is very easy to like
  37. GISARO – Complicated individual that has been eliminated more often than not here but seldom disappoints when applied and, barefoot from the front row, can give this a good go
  38. IDAO NAY – Back in his code of preference after running 6th in a monte Class E over track and trip on 10 November. Enjoys a good entry, is undefeated over the main track, but will struggle to keep that fact intact
  39. GALOPIN DE MARTHE – Good servant with significantly better credentials in the other code and can be ruled out
  40. ICONE D’ERABLE – Fine campaigner making first appearance for over 2 months. Stays shod for the occasion and best to wait
  41. HOLD UP DREAM – Sprang a 43-1 surprise when 2nd of 13 in an Agen Class C on 18 November. Seldom races here these days but with a top driver at the helm this time will merit considerable respect
  42. HAPPY DANOVER – Comfortable winner of a Class D over track and trip on 3 November. Steps up in category and is unlikely to repeat, but will not be sent out at 67-1 this time
  43. GALION – Got his nose in front at Le Croise-Laroche before running 7th behind HOLD UP DREAM (11) at Agen. Will appreciate the return to racing left-handed and is not to be overlooked
  44. INSIGHT SPOKEN – Won 3 of last 4 Vincennes starts, is simply dynamic in current configuration, and completing the 3-timer is a distinct possibility
  45. IDYLLE EXPRESS – Quickly eliminated in a Nantes Gr.3 earlier in the month, on just 2nd start back. Is reunited with Jean-Michel Bazire who won over course and distance with her in May, and looks dangerous once again
  46. INTOUCHABLE – Significantly better than recent numbers would suggest. Returns to a more reasonable level and, terrifically-entered here, has a realistic chance of contesting the finish
Summary: Most of the heavyweights find themselves on the back line this time, and all well-engaged. INSIGHT SPOKEN (14) stands out though for dominating his last 2 races, and following a brief rest, he returns to Vincennes with every chance of securing the hat-trick. Eric Raffin will still want to be vigilant of the reconfigured INTOUCHABLE (16) who takes a dip in category, and IDYLLE EXPRESS (15) who raced well after being eliminated at Nantes. Third to Loïc Groussard’s horse at Enghien last month, IMPACT PLAYER (6) is again 25m better off and can challenge for a place in the frame. The erratic HOLD UP DREAM (11) got back in the game at Agen recently and receives an Alexandre Abrivard drive this time.
    SELECTIONS
    INSIGHT SPOKEN (14) – INTOUCHABLE (16) – IDYLLE EXPRESS (15) – IMPACT PLAYER (6)
    C5 – PRIX DE MIRAMBEAU – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class B – Harness – EUR € 52,000
  47. LORELEI DE REUX – Useful element racing unshod following an early-October re-entry run. Has won twice when barefoot here but on this occasion is not easy to recommend
  48. LIBERTA MESLOISE – Showed improvement when 4th to LILI DRY (5) in a 2850m Class C here 9 days ago but is properly out of her depth this time
  49. LEDA MESLOISE – Has looked a shadow of her former self this term. Returns to racing shod and can be ruled out
  50. LUMINOUS STAR – Disappointing 7th of 11 finishers in a 2850m Laval Class B on 1 November. Has bags of ability though and even in the day’s configuration can play a small part
  51. LILI DRY – Got back in the winners’ circle 9 days ago after securing a 2850m Class C, her first victory since September 2023. In better company this time but can still pick up some prizemoney
  52. LUNELLA LEMAN – Imposed at Le Croisé-Laroche in early-October but failed to confirm when eliminated in the final stages at the same venue later in the month. Is patently in flying form and the new formula may be just what the doctor ordered
  53. LUDIVINE – Left a good impression on Nantes comeback early this month. Runs barefoot this time, with Benjamin Rochard reining, and can finish in the mix if sufficiently fit
  54. LARA CROFT – Versatile filly that is confirmed over course and distance. Left a good impression at Argentan and with Yoann Lebourgeois in the bike this time, will be expected to give LADY DADA (9) a run for her money
  55. LADY DADA – Good class of filly that won a Class A over 2700m here last winter. Gave a reassuringly good account here 3 weeks ago and can get her nose in front this time
  56. LOLITA BOURBON – Tough filly that consistently gives her best and can be considered unlucky last time out. Will be more at her ease here and can finish closer
Summary: She has taken some time to come to hand but LADY DADA (9) gave a fine account of herself against the colts here earlier this month and with only her own sex to contend with this time, the race should be hers for the taking. She should nevertheless feel the heat from LARA CROFT (8) who appears to be getting back to her best, and the nicely-engaged and dependable LOLITA BOURBON (10) who would have finished closer last time out had she not struggled to turn. Unfortunate not to secure the double a month back, LUNELLA LEMAN (6) has been reconfigured for the occasion and must be afforded respect.
    SELECTIONS
    LADY DADA (9) – LARA CROFT (8) – LOLITA BOURBON (10) – LUNELLA LEMAN (6)
    C6 – PRIX DE MARENNES-OLERON – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 41,000
  57. KING STEED – Quality but complicated element that lost all chance at the start in 3 November race of reference. Did win under these conditions last winter though and with application will not be far off the mark
  58. KESSERO – Made up for comeback run when 4th of 18 to KILOU (14) in a Class F at Le Mont-Saint-Michel early this month. Will be fully fit by now and with Eric Raffin reining is sure to be involved
  59. KALISCO PLANCHETTE – 3rd of 11, a place behind KIROYAL DU VINOIS (16), in a Class E under these conditions on 7 October. Was subsequently prepped at Maure-de-Bretagne, returns barefoot, and while not a priority should not be entirely ruled out either
  60. KAMARO – Steps up in category after winning 2 of last 3, latterly a Class F with ease at Saint-Galmier. Has yet to deliver racing left-handed but in current condition deserves to take a shot
  61. KOLBY DE CLARAFLOR – Pleasantly surprising 2nd of 14 in a Maure-de-Bretagne Class F on 2 November, although a repeat seems most unlikely
  62. KANGOUROU – Modest element making just 2nd appearance since his early-November re-entry and even with shoes off has no possible chance
  63. KERVELEAN – Fine servant with a pair of runs in him following the layoff. Excels when barefoot and will be no pushover if he takes to the new conditions
  64. KRACUS DE GUEZ – Just missed out to KAISER VRIE (12) over 2100m here on 3 November. Returns to the venue with morale restored and will be expected to contest the finish once more
  65. KIMONO JULRY – Never far from faulting but has bags of ability. Lost his action at Cabourg last month but can get in on the action if Yoann Lebourgeois keeps him trotting
  66. KEEPSAKE MOSSA – Honourable 5th of 13 to KAISER VRIE (12) in a 2100m Class F here on 3 November, however he faces an even stiffer test this time
  67. KRUG LOVER – Failed to confirm Chartres performance when eliminated at Mauquenchy 10 days ago, and with shoes fitted is not easy to recommend
  68. KAISER VRIE – Took no time to shine after changing address in late-summer. Showed great tenacity to impose here on 3 November and has the wherewithal to repeat
  69. KING’S RETURN – Acquits himself well for the most part, most recently 2nd in a Caen Class F, but has no particular love for Vincennes
  70. KILOU – Returned to winning ways at Cabourg on 2 November but could manage only 5th in a Cherbourg Class F last weekend, and even with shoes off looks a minor place chance at best
  71. KINGSTON DU BOURG – 3rd to KAISER VRIE (12), at 21-1, earlier in the month here. Tends to go well in this configuration but may just be taking on too much
  72. KIROYAL DU VINOIS – Should not be condemned for recent Laval run. Has otherwise been in cracking form, gave a superb account on Vincennes bow in early-October, and with more luck in running can set the record straight. Chance
Summary: Unbeaten in 2 starts since moving stables, KAISER VRIE (12) opened his Vincennes account earlier in the month at the expense of KRACUS DE GUEZ (8), and again looks the marginally better of the two. KIROYAL DU VINOIS (16) missed out by the smallest of margins here last month and, ideally-engaged, should again figure prominently, as should Vincennes debutant KERVELEAN (7) who is barefoot for his first objective of the winter.
    SELECTIONS
    KAISER VRIE (12) – KRACUS DE GUEZ (8) – KIROYAL DU VINOIS (16) – KERVELEAN (7)
    C7 – PRIX DE LA BRESSE – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class B – Harness – EUR € 52,000
  73. MIKADO GEDE – Reliable operator making first appearance since running 2nd in an Enghien Class C in early-August. As is his won’t, Marc Sassier will send him out ready and is unlikely to return home empty-handed
  74. MANHATTAN JIEL – Has demonstrated decent aptitude for both codes but eliminated in last 2 starts and must first re-establish his credentials
  75. MAURICIEN – Useful individual that has placed in 2 of his 3 return runs, most recently an Agen Class A 11 days ago. Trainer has been bullish about his colt who will be reined by his owner this time
  76. MINUTY DU GERS – Produced best performance of his short career when storming up over course and distance on 13 November. Is a fine future prospect and has a respectable chance of finishing close
  77. MOHAWK – Undeniably talented but eliminated in last 2, most recently a Class A over course and distance in mid-October. Has been afforded time to recalibrate but others still easier to trust
  78. MEA CULPA – Pleasantly surprised under these conditions in September but has failed to confirm 3 times and can be confidently disregarded
  79. MACHUCAMBO – Serious colt starting for first time since being eliminated in a G.1 here last February. Is unlikely to be given a hard race but can nonetheless get a look in
  80. MOUSTIK LA GOVELLE – Failed to confirm inner track score when eliminated in a 2175m Class B here 3 weeks ago. Form is not in question though and, given the chance, will not be easy to oppose
  81. MONSIEUR AS – Hardy type making Vincennes debut after 2 solid comeback runs, however he still has more to find
  82. MELOMANE DE LOU – Imposed at Reims before running surprising 4th of 11 in a 2175m Class B here on 7 November. Alexandre Abrivard in the bike on this occasion and his charge will not be available at 48-1 this time
  83. MISTRAL DU BOIS – Well-engaged colt that ran 2nd in a 2850m Laval Class A 2 weeks ago, on first association with the champion driver. Faces stiff competition for the spoils but is still very much in the picture
Summary: Easy winner over the short course before losing his action when well-backed here earlier in the month, MOUSTIK LA GOVELLE (8) will be more at home over this longer trip and, if applied, can finally open his main-track account. Damien Bonne will be unsurprisingly mindful of the progressive MINUTY DU GERS (4) who has already won twice under these conditions this term, and MELOMANE DE LOU (10) who solidly beat him here 3 weeks ago. Confirmed here and clearly close to his race, MISTRAL DU BOIS (11) has kept the faith of Eric Raffin who will again vie to get his colt off the mark.
    SELECTIONS

    C8 – PRIX DOYNEL DE SAINT-QUENTIN – 2850m (a2m) – Gr2 – Harness – EUR € 120,000
  84. KUIPER – Smart Swedish customer taking first competitive steps south of Scandinavia. Stays shod for the occasion but is one to watch when barefoot the next time
  85. KOBAYASHI – 3rd in a 2700m Gr.3 here on 24 October before running 4th in a 2175m monte Gr.2 here 3 weeks ago. Returns to racing barefoot but will have other priorities
  86. KHAL’S FELLA – Capable on a good day but frequently bites off more than he can chew. Has just the one race under his belt and is unlikely to create an upset
  87. ICEBREAKER (DEN) – Serious Danish type that ran 3rd in a 2700m Gr.3 on French debut here last weekend. JMB at the helm this time and will be interesting to watch
  88. ELEGANCE KRONOS – Honest mare that has hardly put a foot wrong lately but is being conditioned this time and best to hold off
  89. KANTO AVIS – Faces his first objective since failing to place in the Criterium des 5 Ans. Was simply dynamic here last winter and, shod as he was in the Prix Jockey, can start to get back in the game
  90. KSAR – Won a Class B at Les Sables-d’Olonne before coming courageous 6th behind KOCTEL DU DAIN (13) in Gr.2 Prix Marcel Laurent earlier in the month, and is unlikely to improve on that
  91. IMMORTAL DOC – Fine, consistent Swedish trotter returning to Paris in excellent shape. Ran 2nd on his only appearance over 2850m here and can put on a bold showing
  92. KALIF LANDIA – Hardy element preparing for a campaign in the other code and can be confidently passed over
  93. KING OPERA – 3rd in Criterium des 5 Ans in September, then given a freshener at Laval early this month. Presents solid credentials when shod and should prove competitive at the business end of the race
  94. KANA DE BEYLEV – Serious mare that consistently gives her best. Back among her contemporaries this time and will be competitive for a place on the podium
  95. FAME AND GLORY(SE) – Has not been seen out since September 2024 but has been specifically prepared for this. Is one of the better horses of his generation at home in Sweden and, if fully-fit, can bring the fight to KOCTEL DU DAIN (13)
  96. KOCTEL DU DAIN – Ran a good race to come close 2nd in Gr.2 Prix Marcel Laurent over 2100m here early this month. Is the richest horse in the field for good reason and has every chance of adding another black-type race to his tally
Summary: Runner-up in the Critérium des 5 Ans in September before repeating in the Gr.2 Prix Marcel Laurent early this month, KOCTEL DU DAIN (13) excels over 2850m here and is going to take all the beating. There will be a lot of support though for the classy Swedish FAME AND GLORY(SE) (12) who will be barefoot for his French bow. 4th in the Criterium, KANA DE BEYLEV (11) was by no means disgraced in the Prix de Bretagne and looks a marginally better bet than shod stablemate KING OPERA (10) who has only once imposed at Gr.2 level.
    SELECTIONS
    KOCTEL DU DAIN (13) – FAME AND GLORY(SE) (12) – KANA DE BEYLEV (11) – KING OPERA (10)
    C9 – PRIX D’ORAISON – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 35,000
  97. LOVE YOU PHYT’S – Capable colt that quickly lost his action in a 2100m Class E here 9 days ago and would have better prospects on a more even surface
  98. LEADER BOY – Proved quite the revelation during the spring. Has just the one race in him since the break though and is plainly still being conditioned
  99. LINO GUILLERVILLE – Honest individual that consistently gives what he can. Made an encouraging return to competition in a Laval Class E 3 weeks ago, has had time to come on, and should prove competitive for a first-5 cheque
  100. LETIKALIN – Returned to the winners’ enclosure 2.5 weeks ago when comfortably winning a Class E at La Capelle. Raced respectably on sole Vincennes start but would be preferred competitively-shod
  101. L’ANGE AIMEF – Quality trotter making first appearance since 11 August. Pleased on sole Vincennes appearance but stays shod and best to hold off
  102. LIBRE PENSEUR MEEK – An absolute write-off for past 12.5 months. Reverts to a previous formula but still not a concern
  103. LUCKY LOVE – Made up for a brace of eliminations when 5th of 11, a place behind LEVEL ONE SYGA (8), in a 2850m Class E here on 13 November. Is not a priority but in similar shape can repeat
  104. LEVEL ONE SYGA – Serious sort that seldom lets the side down when applied. Good 4th over 2850m on re-entry here on 13 November and should prove considerably more competitive this time
  105. LUIGI PAULCA – Won 3 on the trot before running out of puff behind LATINO PURA VIDA (11) in a 2100m Class E here on 3 November. Is plainly better than that and deserves to be given the benefit of the doubt. Monitor
  106. LIGHTNING JIEL – Back under harness after losing his action in a monte Class E over course and distance 11 days ago. Races barefoot this time but will have other ambitions
  107. LATINO PURA VIDA – Respectable but unthreatening 8th of 16 in a 2100m Class E here early this month, and will not be improving on that
  108. LUGANO – Left a good impression in a 2100m Class E here 9 days ago despite being eliminated. Has been reconfigured for the occasion and on good behaviour can play an active role
  109. L’AMIRAL FLOWER – Imposed at Beaumont-de-Lomagne on 1 November before running an unlucky 3rd in a Lyon-Parilly Class E a fortnight later. Top pilot in the bike this time and should have the wherewithal to finish close
  110. LE BIEF – Won 2 of 3 before being sent for a summer break. Is plainly in competition-mode and the choice of driver will only enhance his already good prospects
  111. LOUISDOR DECHAMBOU – Ran 2nd in Toulouse before failing to deliver at Bordeaux next time. Comes here fresh but has little liking for the venue and can be passed over
  112. LE LAUREAT DU PARC – Talented but capricious sort returning to the capital after being eliminated here earlier in the month. Is difficult to knock when focused and with application can make this his own
Summary: A good campaigner from the south, LE LAUREAT DU PARC (16) showed his form after losing his action here earlier in the month. He benefits from a wonderful entry and with JMB drafted in for the occasion can win this. That said, LEVEL ONE SYGA (8) gave a very good account on his recent re-entry and will have come on for the race. L’AMIRAL FLOWER (13) took his game to a new level during the autumn and Alexandre Abrivard can be quietly confident. LE BIEF (14) may not have been seen out since August but he will race barefoot for the first time and be partnered by Eric Raffin.

C1 – PRIX SOURCE BADOIT – 1600m (a1m) – TURF – Maiden – Flat – EUR € 11,400

  1. GOLDEN MAZEL – Showed some improvement second time out when third in a Conditions race over this track and trip on 1 November. Capable of getting involved with the field
  2. MAIERATO – Has not shown much in two starts and finished 9th in a Conditions race at Fontainebleau over 1600m on 13 November. Needs to find a few lengths to win
  3. FASOLDOFA – Finished 7th in her second start, in a Conditions race at Clairefontaine over 1400m on 21 October. Did better on debut and might play a minor role
  4. LARYZA – Showed very little when 8th on debut in a claimer at Argentan over 1900m on 8 October. Needs major improvement to win this race
  5. EXTRAVAGANZA – Unreliable but did finish fourth in a claimer at Nancy over 1400m on 16 November. Needs to do a bit more to win this race
  6. MARIE LA CROIX – Has struggled of late and was 8th in a handicap at Marseille-Vivaux over 1500m on 12 November. Capable of bing a threat

LE ROUGE CHINOIS (1) has finished in the money in recent outings and with him dropping two divisions lower, he could be a big factor in the outcome.
