R1 VINCENNES [L-H]
C1 – PRIX DE MAISONS-LAFFITTE – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class A – Harness – EUR € 51,000
- NIKITA GOLD – Respectable for the most part but disappointed in a Class B under these conditions last Saturday and, sporting front pads or not, is still not an obvious choice
- NIKITA – Failed to confirm November performance when eliminated in a Class B over course and distance last weekend and will have few takers
- NORD AMERICAINE – Gave a good account on Vincennes bow on 12 December, running 2nd in a Class B over the inner course. Faces a tougher test this time but is still one to keep an eye on
- NINA HAGEN – Showed a different side 11 days ago when 2nd in a 2100m Class C. Will be pitted against a better lot this time but still cannot be discounted
- NOT FOR FUN – Made up for Prix Une de Mai performance when 4th in a Class A over the inner track on Christmas Day. Is not about to create an upset but can still finish in the mix
- NO WORRY – Won 2 in a row in October and latterly ran 3rd in a Class B over course and distance on 3 December. Has been afforded ample time to return to her best and the addition of pads will only enhance her prospects
- NEW QUALITY – Well-regarded filly that finished last of 5 behind NOT FOR FUN (5) in a 2850m Class A over the inner track on Christmas Day. Stays shod this time though and not a concern
- NESPERA – First-rate filly that has won 3 of 4, most recently a Class C over the inner track on 19 December. Sports a fresh formula and can take her win percentage to 80
- NEREIDA – Ran 6th in Gr.2 Prix Une de Mai before being eliminated in Prix Gélinotte a fortnight ago. Has placed in a Gr.3 and appears to be main danger to NESPERA (8)
- NYMPHE D’ELLE – Held her own in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Gelinotte here on 4 January. Will not have the best fillies to contend with this time and will have a decent chance finishing close
Summary: Thierry Duvaldestin has successfully debuted a number of his younger elements at Vincennes this winter and NESPERA (8) is a case in point. She made no bones about imposing over the short course last month and, with front pads fitted, could well make her main-track debut a successful one. NEREIDA (9) should not be too hastily-condemned for faulting in the Gr.2 Prix Gelinotte; she plainly has ample ability and at this level looks particularly dangerous. NO WORRY (6) has come on for every run, gave a good account over course and distance in early-December, and with pads fitted for the first time will have her chances. 6th in the Gelinotte, and well-engaged here, NYMPHE D’ELLE (10) should be afforded respect.

C2 – PRIX D’AGEN – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class B – Harness – EUR € 52,000 - LIBERTA MESLOISE – Enjoyed a productive spring and summer before losing her way later last year and in current condition will have little to contribute
- LEDA MESLOISE – Fine element in 2024 but did nothing noteworthy in 2025. Runs shod this time and can be ruled out
- LA DIVA SUPREME – Won a Cagnes Class D on 13 December, then 2nd in a Class C over course and distance late in the month. Seldom disappoints when focused and must be considered a player
- LARA DE CHENU – Is back in business since returning to racing barefoot, and is comfortable over 2700m. Takes on some better horses this time but still has the wherewithal to make first 5
- LUMINOUS STAR – Eliminated in 2 before coming 5th, a place behind LOVELY DU VALLON (9), in a 2175m Class C here on 20 December. Races barefoot for the occasion but others still preferred
- LITTLE STAR FLEURY – No slouch on a good day, and has Gr.2 form. Unexceptional lately but has been freshly re-configured and, although not a priority, cannot be discounted
- LILI DRY – Excellent since starting to race barefoot, beating a number of these in a Class C prior to running 3rd in a Class B under these conditions in late-November. Has freshness on her side and in current form can fight out the finish
- LALUNA DES FORGES – Serious mare with solid course-and-distance credentials. Latest run should not be taken at face value and can be backed with confidence. Place chance
- LOVELY DU VALLON – 4th in a 2175m Class C here on 20 December. Can trot but appears to be taking on too much this time
- LADY DADA – Has not been as sharp over recent months as she was last winter, but gets to race barefoot for the first time and, on good behaviour, can open her 2026 account
Summary: Nicely-engaged close to the earnings threshold, LADY DADA (10) is not always the easiest of horses to gauge but she races barefoot for the first time and, if applied, can finally open her winter account. She will still be opposed by LILI DRY (7) who has taken her game to a new level over recent months, and LALUNA DES FORGES (8) who is better than her latest result would suggest. LA DIVA SUPREME (3) has not put a foot out of line lately and moves up in category with a decent card to play.

C3 – PRIX DE PARDIEU – 2175m (a1m1/4) – Gr2 – Mounted – EUR € 120,000 - MARIEVA DE LOU – It took 10 starts but opened her account over the short course earlier this month. Runs barefoot this time but is still taking on too much
- MA LIBERTE – Started to come into herself over the autumn and early-winter, superbly completing the hat-trick in a 2700m Class D here on 13 December. Takes a notable hike in category but is unlikely to be far off the mark
- MADAME CHENU – Just headed by MIRATISSIME (5) in a Class B over course and distance on 26 December. Is undeniably useful, and will be barefoot, but in this company will have too much to do
- MOJITO FRAISE – 4th in the Gr.1 Prix de Vincennes, a place ahead of MHUM FLYNG (10), before running 5th to him in 2700m Gr.3 Prix d’Enghien on 4 January. Is not about to open his monte account but can nevertheless challenge for a spot on the podium
- MIRATISSIME – Opened her monte account with a fast, late run in a Class B over track and trip on 26 December. Sports pads this time and although unlikely to create an upset, can nevertheless get a look in
- MELBA DU GERS – Opened her Gr.2 account over course and distance 12 months ago, but has looked decidedly ordinary since. Sports a fresh configuration, with Eric Raffin aboard for monte debut, and could pleasantly surprise
- MANITAS DE TRUCHON – Good Gr.2 Prix Raoul Ballière winner before failing to make any impact in Gr.1 Prix de Vincennes in mid-December. Has otherwise been in fine fettle and racing barefoot will help her to redeem herself
- MELODY DE VIVOIN – Has done little of note since placing in a Gr.2 here last September, and will need to show marked improvement on latest effort behind MHUM FLYNG (10)
- MISS DES BESACES – Has not won since last April but is as tough as they come. Ran 4th in 2700m Gr.3 Prix d’Enghien on 4 January and must be taken seriously
- MHUM FLYNG – Dual Gr.2 winner that ran 5th in Gr.1 Prix de Vincennes before dominating 2700m Gr.3 Prix d’Enghien on 4 January. In similar form, the race will be his for the taking
Summary: By some margin the best horse in the field, MHUM FLYNG (10) comfortably won the Gr.3 Prix d’Enghien here a fortnight ago on his first association with Alexandre Abrivard and looks thoroughly capable of repeating. Fourth that day, MISS DES BESACES (9) made up a lot of ground in the final stages and should finish closer this time. MOJITO FRAISE (4) finished a place behind her and should again figure prominently, but may first have to see off a barefoot MANITAS DE TRUCHON (7) who beat Christophe Clin’s colt in the Gr.2 Prix Raoul Ballière over course and distance in late-November.

C4 – PRIX DE GRANVILLE – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class C – Harness – EUR € 68,000 - JOLYDOLE – Useful mare that easily won a Class D over track and trip on 19 December. Has never been seen at this level though and is unlikely to make her presence felt
- IVRIG VIKING – Has looked rather ordinary under harness recently and appears to be biting off more than he can chew
- ICONE D’ERABLE – Went off the boil after winning over course and distance last September. Was most unlucky behind INHERIT (4) here a fortnight ago though and cannot be ruled out
- INHERIT – Beaten only by 2 classy elements here in early-December, then comfortably won a Class D over shorter. Has never disappointed with Benjamin Rochard and is not about to start now
- JASMINE DE VAU – Game mare that excels in both codes. Has not put a foot wrong since last summer and returns to 2700m with a lot to offer. First 5
- IRON DU GERS – Superb here this winter with 3 straight victories and most recently ran 3rd in a 2850m Class C here a month back. Trainer in the bike this time and should logically finish thereabouts
- ICARE DU BERYL – Surprise 4th of 17 in a Bordeaux Class D on 22 December. Has otherwise been in good shape, races barefoot this time, but still appears to be taking on too much
- JALENDRA DE MALAC – It took a couple of runs but returned to the winners’ circle after clinching a Class C over 2700m here 2 weeks ago. Excels under these conditions and has every chance of repeating
- HOVE PONT VAUTIER – Capable on a good day but has failed to make any impact this winter and, even racing barefoot, will have too much to do
- HIGH PROPULSION – Seldom gets her nose in front these days but has been giving an honest account here over recent months. Is unlikely to create an upset but can be counted on to give what she can
- JESON BOY – Won 3 straight before running respectable 10th of 18 in a 2850m Gr.2 here on 30 November. Will be barefoot for just 2nd start at the venue and will be expected to finish close
- IRON MESLOIS – Has just 2 runs under his belt following a lengthy layoff, latterly 6th of 15 in a Class B over track and trip 2.5 weeks ago. Is not a priority but is still good enough to pick up some prizemoney
- JASON GINYU – Fine servant with form at a superior level and finished runner-up in last 2. Has not raced for 2 months but will have been specifically prepared for this and looks the main danger to JALENDRA DE MALAC (8)
- GUERRIER CASTELETS – Has not won since June 2024 but has been acquitting himself honourably here recently. His latest Class B performance did not go unnoticed and, considering the entry, should not be overlooked
Summary: Courageous winner under these conditions 3 weeks ago, JALENDRA DE MALAC (8) is now unbeaten in 4 barefoot runs over 2700m here and Eric Raffin will be hoping to extend that number. He will, however, be legitimately wary of the first-rate JASON GINYU (13) who is both nicely-engaged and close to his race. A Gr.3 winner at Feurs, JESON BOY (11) drops to a more reasonable level after failing to deliver in a Gr.2 last time out and looks a solid place prospect. INHERIT (4) ran away with a 2100m Class D here 2 weeks ago and steps up in category with a good card to play. In cracking form over recent months, JASMINE DE VAU (5) ran 2nd to Alexis Grimault’s mare on Boxing Day and must be taken seriously.

C5 – PRIX DE LA CAPELLE – 2175m (a1m1/4) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 40,000 - MISS DE LA FERME – Steps up in category after running 4th behind MERRY RIVER (4) in a 2100m Class E here on 1 January, but will need to find more
- MY CHARMING – Opened Vincennes account in a Class E on 10 December but was quickly eliminated in 26 December race of reference. Has been configured for the occasion but looks a minor place prospect at best
- MIRABELLE DE LARRE – Ran 2nd under these conditions last season but has been less than convincing lately and and even with shoes off will have few takers
- MERRY RIVER – Unlucky 2nd in a 2100m Class E here on New Year’s Day. Takes on a better lot this time but can still play an active role
- MONEY MONEY PIYA – Respectable filly with a brace of conditioners to her name. Will be first-time barefoot but still seems to be a race shy
- MELINA SUPREME – Serious future prospect racing first-time barefoot after a pair of conditioners. Will be fit by now and faces her first objective of the winter with a lot to contribute. Chance
- MARION D’HAFLING – Unexceptional filly with better monte form. Has been reconfigured for the occasion but still poses no threat
- MAGIQUE HAUFOR – Romped over 2700m here early last month then ran 3rd in a 2100m Class D on Boxing Day. Gets to race barefoot this time and can make this her own
- MARVA CALENDES – Handy sort that showed a lot of promise last season. Made little impression in either comeback run but will be barefoot for the occasion and must not be underestimated
- MENTHE FRAICHE – Pleasant 4th, a place behind MAGIQUE HAUFOR (8), in a 2100m Class D late last month. Is competitively-shod for the first time and is unlikely to let the side down. Place prospect
- MY LOVE AFFAIR – Honest type that ran 3rd in a 2700m Class D here early this month. Faces a tougher challenge this time but should nevertheless acquit herself honourably
- MISS DE LA COTE – Promising individual with 2 runs under her belt following 8 months off. Runs first-time barefoot, has raced over 2175m before, and looks capable of getting in on the action
- MAKARINA DE BOMO – Pleasantly surprising 3rd in a 2700m Class D here on 13 December. Will not be available at 84-1 this time but is unlikely to be as performant either
- MISS DISCO – Speedy filly that left a good impression when 6th behind MAGIQUE HAUFOR (8) in a 2100m Class D late last month. Goes barefoot for the first time and Eric Raffin can be confident of a big run
Summary: Although still a little tricky, MAGIQUE HAUFOR (8) left us in no doubt last month about her ability. She is new to 2175m here, but races barefoot for the first time and is easy to fancy for the win. MELINA SUPREME (6) has a pair of conditioners in her following the autumn break and with shoes off this time will be no pushover. Confirmed over course and distance and also first time barefoot, MISS DISCO (14) will be partnered by Eric Raffin who will be eyeing a step on the podium. Regularly in the thick of things when focused, MENTHE FRAICHE (10) sports front pads for the occasion and looks particularly competitive.

C6 – PRIX DE BREST – 2850m (a2m) – Gr3 – Harness – EUR € 90,000 - COMBAT FIGHTER – Failed to confirm decent Class C performance when denied a run in a 2100m Class A here early this month, but still has his work cut out
- KILLIAM FROMENTRO – Excellent here last spring but subsequently lost his way. Has been totally out of sorts this winter and can be passed over
- ICEBREAKER (DEN) – Placed at Gr.3 level on Vincennes debut in November. Drops back in category after running 6th in Gr.2 Prix de Bourgogne 3 weeks ago and should prove more competitive this time
- JONGLEUSE DE LUNE – Third place in last 3 starts, latterly a Class A over course and distance 3 weeks ago. Is not about to win this but current form augurs well for her chances of picking up a cheque
- JEWELCANDLE FAC – Has done nothing of note since running 3rd in last year’s Gr.1 Prix de Cornulier and is unlikely to have many friends in the markets
- INDUS VAL – Pleasant 4th in a 2700m Class B here 2.5 weeks ago. Has delivered just once in 4 starts under these conditions though and others easier to back
- HEADSCOTT – Quality individual stepping up in category after 2 fine runs over 2700m here recently. He presents solid credentials under these conditions and can open his 2026 account
- IZNOGOUD AM – Returns to France after prepping twice at home in Sweden. Will be competitively-shod this time but others still preferred
- HARISON DU PLESSIS – Honest trotter that finished 3rd, a place ahead of HEADSCOTT (7), in a 2700m Class B here on 20 December. Has been hard to fault this winter and although not a priority, can nevertheless finish in the mix
- DOLCE VIKY – Impressively won a 2100m Class B here on 13 December, on just 2nd start at the venue. Will have no issue with the distance and appears to be competitively well in
- JEEGHA PRIDE – Got back in the winners’ circle after securing victory in a Class B over track and trip on 7 December. Is nicely-entered here and will not be available at 14-1 this time. Place chance
- INO DU LUPIN – Has not put a foot wrong since September, most recently winning a 2925m Gr.3 at Cagnes-sur-Mer on 20 December. Boasts fine references over 2850m on the main track and must be considered a contender
- FULTON – Classy veteran in the monte code. Here for reasons of conditioning and has nothing to offer
Summary: Winner of a Class B in late-November, beating recent Prix de Belgique champion Iroise de la Noé, HEADSCOTT (7) did not enjoy the best of trips next time, but his form is not in question and he is in with a realistic shout of winning this. A serious horse returning to Paris after lifting a Cagnes Gr.3, INO DU LUPIN (12) is 25m worse off but can still contest the finish. JEEGHA PRIDE (11) defied her odds here early last month when lifting a Class B and must be taken more seriously this time. The Italian, DOLCE VIKY (10) comfortably imposed over 2100m here last month and a repeat is not beyond the realm of possibility.

C7 – PRIX ROXANE GRIFF – 2850m (a2m) – Class C – Mounted – EUR € 46,000 - FALSTAFF FONT – Fine servant that consistently gives his best. Debuted unremarkably under the saddle last month and even though in form is not an obvious choice
- ONANA BOKO – Switches to the monte code after being quickly eliminated in Gr.1 Criterium Continental on 21 December. Has shown his capacity under harness and may yet prove even better in this discipline. Claim
- LIONEL MEARAS – Serious Swedish import that gave a fine account under harness here on Christmas Day. Takes first competitive steps in the discipline and while not a contender is still worth monitoring
- LAREINE D’OURVILLE – Produced 3 straight eliminations before finishing last of 8 to LELIA FRANCE (8) in a Class D over course and distance on 30 December, and can be ruled out
- LOUVE ANGEL – Respectable mare that always gives her best and is confirmed here, but in this company will have too much to do
- LENSOIS DU DOLLAR – Has done nothing but improve lately, winning a 2700m Class D here on Christmas Eve. Takes on a better bunch this time but given the nature of her success, must be respected
- LASKA DU LEVANT – Drops back down the class-ladder, and returns from a spell, after failing to deliver in a Gr.2 here on 6 November. Shoes fitted this time but has form in this configuration and could even impose
- LELIA FRANCE – Versatile mare that won over the inner course prior to missing out to LUKAS D’OLIVERIE (13) here earlier this month. Goes barefoot for the first time in almost 12 months and is worth keeping an eye on
- LOVE ME AGAIN – Twice a winner in 4 starts under the saddle. Lost her action behind LUKAS D’OLIVERIE (13) here earlier this month and Eric Raffin will be keen to put things right
- LUCIFER D’ORPHEE – Got back in the game when 3rd to LUKAS D’OLIVERIE (13) here earlier this month. Has ground to make up but should nevertheless hold his own
- FORT WASHAKIE – Has taken well to Vincennes conditions since leaving her native Italy. Is new to the discipline, but is clearly in excellent shape and with Paul Ploquin in the irons will be afforded every chance
- LOLO DU VELO – Has finished just once out of first 2 at Vincennes. Takes a dip in category after coming 2nd in a 2175m Class B here 3 weeks ago and with Alexandre Abrivard aboard is unlikely to disappoint. Chance
- LUKAS D’OLIVERIE – Excellent servant when focused and barefoot, latterly clinching a 2700m Class C here 11 days ago. Is as tenacious as they come and can be backed with confidence once more
Summary: ONANA BOKO (2) takes his first steps under the saddle following a pair of conditioners for his new handler and can get straight down to business. Adrien Lamy will still want to be mindful of LASKA DU LEVANT (7) who ran 3rd in a Gr.3 here before being dominated in a Gr.2 in early-November. She has not been seen since, and races shod, but still looks a serious proposition. LOLO DU VELO (12) returned to competition in excellent shape and it will not be long before he picks up a first victory of the new year. A fine campaigner in this branch of the business, LUKAS D’OLIVERIE (13) showed great tenacity to get his nose in front here recently and has a respectable chance of doubling his money.

C8 – PRIX DE DOUVRES – 2850m (a2m) – Class C – Harness – EUR € 53,000 - KARVINA D’ELA – Won over course and distance during the spring but disappointing since returning to competition and is not about to set off any fireworks
- KAYA DU SAPTEL – Has been on a rich vein of form since last summer. Is back under harness after pleasing on her monte bow, goes barefoot this time, and is easy to like for a first-5 payout
- KARA D’OR – Steps up in category after running surprise 3rd in a 2175m Class D earlier in the month, and others easier to back
- KAROLENE D’ETANG – Won a Class D here on 17 November before disappointing behind KLASS HAUFOR (5) on 20 December. Can be forgiven that run though and should be brought back into the fold. Place chance
- KLASS HAUFOR – Eliminated in 31 December race of reference when patently in excellent shape. Ran 5th on sole start over 2850m here and, if kept out of trouble this time, can redeem herself and trot her way into the frame
- KALINKA DU GRENAT – Sprang a 36-1 surprise when imposing over 2100m here early last month. Is unlikely to repeat but, with form maintained, should finish thereabouts
- KASSYA – Moderate sort that ran 6th in race of reference. Is clearly in good shape but is being aimed too high once more
- KELLY JANE – Produced a better effort than expected on re-entry on 31 December, coming 4th behind KANAKA DE BUSSET (10) in a 2700m Class C here. Eric Raffin in the bike this time and should not disappoint
- KALINE DU LOCHEUR – Fast-finishing 5th behind KANAKA DE BUSSET (10) in a 2700m Class C here on 31 December. Has references in superior company and will be expected to bring the fight to KUEEN’S PRIDE (11)
- KANAKA DE BUSSET – Mixes the good with the less-good but has placed in 2 of last 3, most recently 2nd in a 2700m Class C here on 31 December and, while not a priority, should not be underestimated either
- KUEEN’S PRIDE – First-rate mare that was denied a run, but still ran 2nd, in a 2100m Class C here on 21 November. Is plainly in rude health and can win this time if kept out of harm’s way
Summary: A wonderful campaigner in the provinces, KUEEN’S PRIDE (11) was rather unlucky on her main-track debut in late-November. She is, however, just a few Euros from elimination and Theo Duvaldestin will be determined to set the record straight. KALINE DU LOCHEUR (9) produced a fine late run here 2.5 weeks ago and if still on the boil can play a leading role. Eliminated that day when clearly going well, KLASS HAUFOR (5) will be no easy touch if he stays in stride. Stablemate KAROLENE D’ETANG (4) is in better shape than her latest run would suggest and Damien Bonne will be out to prove the point.

C9 – PRIX DE DARNETAL – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 35,000 - MELODY DE L’EPINE – Looked very ordinary here late last month when last of 5 in a 2700m Class E, and even though barefoot this time, still looks an outsider
- MUSE DE BEYLEV – Placed twice at Graignes before running 4th over the short course on 25 December. Sports modified shoeing and, with Mathieu Mottier back in the bike, should prove competitive for a cheque
- MAITIKA DE PEBRISY – Ran 6th at Argentan on 23 December, her first start since September. Hind shoes off but in this field appears to be out of her depth
- MEDUSA DU PONT – Made it 3 straight eliminations, in a Cagnes Class E, on 23 December but showed her form nevertheless. Is undeniably talented and will not be far off the mark if Franck Ouvrie keeps her mind on the game
- MACARENA – Has won 2 of 3 to date but has not been seen out since August and is going to need the run
- MA ROSE DE SARTHE – Imposed at Pontchateau on 21 December on just 2nd start since the break. Is unlikely to repeat but with Anthony Barrier in the bike will be afforded every chance
- MAYA PONT VAUTIER – Produced some decent performances before faulting in a Saint-Brieuc Class E on 5 December. Is first-time barefoot and should not be far from the action if she takes to the main-track profile
- METALLICA SMART – Got straight down to business at Graignes on early-December re-entry. Goes first-time barefoot and considering the form of the Alain Chavatte yard, a place on the podium looks highly likely
- MISS MOCCA – Took little time showing her form following the break, running 3rd in a Graignes Class E on 20 November. Comes here fresh, competitively-shod, and with a realistic chance of imposing
- MAJESTE DAB – Never far from faulting but produced a superb finish over the short course early last month. Shoes off for main track bow and, with application, can trot off with the silverware
Summary: An interesting future prospect, MISS MOCCA (9) passed her left-handed test at Graignes, will be competitively-shod for the first time, and can get her nose in front. Complicated she may be but MAJESTE DAB (10) gave an excellent account of herself here last month and, racing barefoot for the first time, should be good enough to challenge for the win. Convincing winner on her Graignes comeback, METALLICA SMART (8) is in more elevated company this time but will have come on for the race and will run barefoot. MEDUSA DU PONT (4) is still green but her ability is not in question, and it is only a matter of time before she comes good again.

Summary: A competitive start to the card. JOSIO DU POMMEREUX (4) has won two of his last four starts, including last time out at Grenade-sur-Garonne. He is capable of another victory. ISBA DU DOME (8) remains in good form and should be involved with the finish. JASPER DU BELLAY (3) and JOSVIL (2) have both been struggling of late but are barefoot this time and could show vast improvement, so are threats.
