R1 VINCENNES [L-H]
C1 – PRIX DE LANGRES – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class E – Mounted – EUR € 52,000
- KANSAS DU HOCTI – Respectable but somewhat flattering 3rd in a Laval Class F 10 days ago. Is proven under these conditions but looks a minor place chance at best
- KAP ORNE – Won a Class D over course and distance in early-February before losing his action at Vire. Takes a notable hike in category and is not an obvious choice this time
- KALIMERO JASMA – Capable individual but has just the one race under his belt since the break and best to hold off
- KENTUCKY FIRST – Won a class C over track and trip late-January but lost his action over 2175m next time. Is never far from faulting but, on good behaviour, should pick up some prizemoney
- KENYAN BLUES – Won twice over course and distance before the turn of the year. Has continued the good form and can finish closer if he gets off on the right foot
- JEROCASH DE PHYT’S – Tricky sort that has won 1 of 2 monte starts but has done nothing noteworthy for 11 months and can be overlooked
- KALINE DE FAEL – Has taken particularly well to her new vocation. Encouraged under harness at Caen early this month and winning this is well within her capability
- KRACK CLEA – Got straight down to business on his return from a spell, dominating a Saint-Galmier Class F mid-February. Is difficult to knock when applied and looks principal danger to KIKI AND CO (9)
- KIKI AND CO – Complicated type that has been specifically prepared for this. Is barefoot for the occasion, with Alexandre Abrivard back in the saddle, and can wrap this up
Summary: Although spirited at the best of times, there is no doubt about the class KIKI AND CO (9) brings to this event and considering her latest monte performance, and the entry, can expect to garner the lion’s share of support. Alexandre Abrivard will still be mindful of the well-engaged pair of KRACK CLEA (8) who has a particular liking for these conditions, and KALINE DE FAEL (7) who will be reunited with Mathieu Mottier after having reassured under harness early this month. KENYAN BLUES (5) showed her character behind the favourite here a month ago but drops down the category-ladder and should prove more competitive.

C2 – PRIX DE CHATILLON – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Gr3 – Harness – EUR € 70,000 - NEUILLY – Respectable filly but looks to be out of her depth in this field and is not a concern
- NEREIDA – Showed early promise but has been struggling to make her mark and even with shoes fitted is unlikely to shake things up
- NOUS QUATRE – Was in fine shape when eliminated in a Class A under these conditions on 22 February. Is a filly of significant talent and has every chance of opening her black-type account at the first time of asking
- NACRE DU MOUTHIEUX – Starts for the first time since running 4th, a place behind NOELA JOSSELYN (6), in a 2175m Gr.2 here on 4 January. Has yet to win over the main track but this could be just the moment
- NOVA TIM – Ran 7th, a place behind NOELA JOSSELYN (6), in 2700m Gr.1 Prix Comte Pierre de Montesson here on 15 February. In more suitable company this time around and can figure more prominently
- NOELA JOSSELYN – Gave a good account when 6th in Gr.1 Prix Comte Pierre de Montesson here on 15 February. Faces a less-arduous task this time and will be expected to wrap up a first-3 spot
- NORMA JEANE – Left a good impression when 3rd in a 2175m Gr.3 here early last month. Sports 4 pads this time but is no more than a minor place prospect
Summary: A good trotter in the making, NOUS QUATRE (3) should not be too hastily-condemned for faulting on re-entry a month ago. She has had ample time to come on though and, reunited with Yoann Lebourgeois, can make this her own. Sporting hind pads as she did when 4th in the Gr.2 Prix Gelinotte in early-January, NACRE DU MOUTHIEUX (4) is very easy to like. NOELA JOSSELYN (6) returns to a more reasonable level and will be expected to figure prominently this time.

C3 – PRIX DE MEAUX – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class A – Harness – EUR € 62,000 - GOGGIA – Has ability but also a temperament. Is yet to get into her stride this term and is unlikely to garner much support
- MALICE DE FRECA – Eliminated early on comeback 3 weeks ago in a 2850m Class B here. The run will have done her good though and, if applied, can contest a place in the frame
- MUSCADE LEMAN – Unexceptional filly that has yet to make any impact this term and is unlikely to upset the status quo
- MARIE DI LEONE – Still a maiden after 13 runs but always gives everything she has. At this level though will have no possible chance
- MY DARLING DU RIS – Did not enjoy the best of trips when 6th to GUARDAMI (7) in a 2850m Class B here 3 weeks ago. Sports a fresh formula and with some luck in running can make first 5 this time
- MARILYN MONROE – Pleased in 2 this year before being eliminated in a 2100m Class A here a month ago, and in this field will have little to offer
- GUARDAMI – Unbeaten in 2 starts at Vincennes this year. In better company this time but still looks eminently capable of pulling off the 3-timer
- MAESTRIA GALAA – Returns to Paris after a relatively productive streak on the Riviera. Is barefoot for the first time at Vincennes but still no more than a minor place chance
- METIDJA – Followed up her late-December course-and-distance victory with 3rd to MOLLY MADRIK (13) in a Class A under these conditions on 25 January. Has not been seen since but sports modified shoeing and still looks capable of getting in on the game
- MARILOU – Showed promise early last season but subsequently lost form. Is first-time barefoot though and must not be underestimated
- MARIE OH FREDLAU – Won 2 of 4 during the winter and then ran 2nd on comeback 2 weeks ago in a Bordeaux Class D. Hind shoes off at Vincennes for the first time and is unlikely to disappoint
- MAIA JIEL – Takes a dip in class after coming 4th in a 2850m Gr.3 here on 31 January. Won over course and distance, when shod, during the autumn and warrants respect
- MOLLY MADRIK – Has clearly appreciated a return to the harness code, most recently winning a Class A over track and trip on 25 January. Comes here fresh and has a decent chance of bringing the fight to GUARDAMI (7)
- MOOREA DE CHANLECY – No champion but always gives what she can. Takes a dip in class after making no impression in a Gr.3 here mid-February, but chances still limited
Summary: Easy winner on both starts for her new stable, GUARDAMI (7) proved herself under these conditions last September and denying her the hat-trick will be no easy task. MOLLY MADRIK (13) did nothing but improve over the winter months and will be no pushover. MARIE OH FREDLAU (11) will have progressed for her Bordeaux return run and will be competitively-shod at Vincennes for the first time. MALICE DE FRECA (2) should not be condemned for her re-entry elimination, has won 2 of 3 with Eric Raffin, and looks a player.

C4 – PRIX DE GABARRET – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 49,000 - JAZERANE – Made short work of her first seasonal target, flying up in a 2450m Caen Class D on 5 March. Starts on the inside, and takes on some better horses, but still has the wherewithal to make first 5
- KALINKA DU GRENAT – Won over course and distance in early-December but has failed to deliver in 3 since and can be passed over
- JINA FOUTEAU – Disappointing on the whole over the winter months. Handed a good draw but can nonetheless be confidently ruled out
- KYNTE FLUSH – Eliminated when sent out favourite at Cagnes 2 weeks ago. Has a particular liking for these conditions and the draw will only enhance her prospects. Place chance
- KINASSE DE VIVOIN – Like a horse reborn since the turn of the year. Won here in early-January, has placed in all 3 since, and from the 5 slot is unlikely to let the side down
- KLASSE DE BRUZEAU – Returns to the capital after a respectable stint at Cagnes-sur-Mer over the winter. Won a claimer under these conditions but is taking on too much this time
- JAVA DU CHERISAY – Handy sort in both codes and races barefoot this time, but is clearly being aimed too high and will have little to contribute
- JUMBY BAY – Occasionally a handful but otherwise has bags of ability. Showed her form here on 20 February and a similar effort would see her win this
- KIRA BO FACE – Moderate mare that failed to confirm her February success when unplaced over 2700m next time. Would be preferred at a much lower level
- KAHIA DE LA CROIX – Would have finished close in a 2850m Laval Class D earlier in the month had she not faulted in the latter stages. Starts on back line but, with form maintained, can make her presence felt
- KARVINA D’ELA – Has found a new lease on life since returning to racing barefoot. Is reunited with Eric Raffin who won with her at Nantes and, while not a priority, cannot be discounted either
- KAPELLA DAIRPET – Sent for a spell after winning over 2700m here in late-November, then ran 2nd over 2850m here on re-entry late-January. In this category, however, is unlikely to create an upset
- KENNEDY STREET – Acquits herself decently for the most part, and is confirmed over course and distance, but sports 4 pads this time and will have other ambitions
- KALAMITY DE CHENU – Set personal best time of 1’11’1 when triumphant in a Class D over track and trip early last month. Has had ample time to get back to her best and even though in marginally better company, should still not be far from the action
- KLASSICA BLEUE – 3rd of 12 to JAZERANE (1) in a 2450m Caen Class D earlier in the month when making first appearance following her spell. Will have progressed for the race and despite a poor draw can still make a big impact
- KWALITA SUPREME – Clinched success over 2700m here 3.5 weeks ago, under Eric Raffin. Trainer in the bike this time but, given her number, will need to position her early
Summary: JUMBY BAY (8) missed out by little for the win here a month back, when shod. She is forced to start wide on the first row but has form with Mathieu Mottier and, with hind shoes off this time, can have her way. KLASSICA BLEUE (15) has pulled a rough number but she gave a good account at Caen on her comeback and has a liking for these shorter trips. Better-placed in front, KYNTE FLUSH (4) seldom disappoints over 2100m here and is easy to recommend, as is the rejuvenated KINASSE DE VIVOIN (5) who has been knocking at the door lately.
SELECTIONS
JUMBY BAY (8) – KLASSICA BLEUE (15) – KYNTE FLUSH (4) – KINASSE DE VIVOIN (5)
C5 – PRIX JEAN CABROL – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class B – Harness – EUR € 75,000 - EDGAR SABA – Pleasant 4th in a Laval Class A on comeback 10 days ago. Will have come on for the run, is confirmed at a superior level, and cannot be ruled out
- CHITCHAT – Blotted his copybook just the once since returning to competition last November. Won at this level last month and is not about to let the side down
- HIMBERLAND – Has a pair of races under his belt since the spell. Seldom disappoints in the Quinte category and although not a priority, is still worth keeping an eye on
- HABIT DE SOIREE – Respectable trotter but less sharp in last 2 and will struggle to make his mark this time
- KARAMBAR – Good class of trotter with an enviable strike-rate. Has won 5 of 8 under these conditions, was a treat to watch last time out, and can make this his own
- ELEGANCE KRONOS – Ran 7th in Gr.1 Prix de l’Ile-de-France under the saddle before coming 3rd in a Class B over course and distance 3 weeks ago. Is not about to get her nose in front but nevertheless represents a respectable first-5 chance
- JAZZMAN (GER) – Somewhat made up for early-February clinker when 4th to stablemate KARAMBAR (5) over track and trip 3 weeks ago. Has already won a Gr.3 this term and can pick up a first-5 payout
- JE REVE DU BOIS – Useful dual-discipline type but failed to deliver behind KARAMBAR (5) here 3 weeks ago and others easier to back
- JILORD VIVA – Made short work of a 2850m Class B here on 17 February before coming 9th of 11 in an Amiens Gr.3 2.5 weeks ago. Is back under conditions he appreciates and is not incapable of giving KARAMBAR (5) a run for his money
- INSTRUMENTALISTE – Handy element but has not been seen out since October. Is competitively-shod but not a priority on first start back
- HANNAH – Fine mare with excellent monte credentials and will have other ambitions
- FOSTER WOOD – Hardy sort but has no particular love for Vincennes and will be shod for comeback
- IDYLLE EXPRESS – Won 4 in a row here, including over 2700m, before coming 7th in Gr.1 Prix de Paris a month back. Is plainly at the top of her game and will be competitive when it matters. Place chance
- INDY ROCK – Serious trotter for the most part but has been out of sorts for some time and can be disregarded
Summary: Following a short break over the winter months, KARAMBAR (5) got straight down to business here late last month and has a realistic claim on the double. Alexandre Abrivard will still want to be wary of JILORD VIVA (9) who won unopposed here in February, and IDYLLE EXPRESS (13) whose 4-timer culminated in Gr.3 victory. Most impressive since imposing at Mauquenchy last November, CHITCHAT (2) steps back up in category with a realistic chance of making it 5 on the trot. Third to stablemate KARAMBAR (5) under these conditions last time out, ELEGANCE KRONOS (6) will not be going home empty-handed.

C6 – PRIX DE GUEUGNON – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class A – Harness – EUR € 62,000 - MONTEQUILLO – Capable on a good day and has won over course and distance, but will need to show significant improvement on recent return run
- MOONWALK D’HERIPRE – Quality colt that was eliminated on comeback here a month ago. Will be more at home with the volte start, has already won 4 times for Eric Raffin and, with application, can finish close
- MALUMA D’ANGIS – 3rd to MUSCLE DREAM (6) in a 2850m Class B here on 25 February. Is not always the easiest of horses to use however and others easier to back this time
- MEA CULPA – Returns to Paris after running 3rd in a Lyon-La Soie Class C earlier in the month, but in this category, is unlikely to spice things up
- MAHARAJA ATOUT – Fine colt making first appearance since being eliminated in last June’s Gr.1 Prix Albert Viel, and is not going to be given a hard race
- MUSCLE DREAM – Returned to winning ways 3.5 weeks ago in a 2850m Class B here. Is unbeaten with Mathieu Mottier who will be eager to keep that fact relevant
- MELI MELO DE CHENU – Progressive element that has taken his game to a new level this term. Close 2nd to MUSCLE DREAM (6) in a 2850m Class B here on 25 February and steps up in category with a good hand to play
- MUSIKO CAUVELLIERE – Serious sort that was never pushed on recent Bordeaux re-entry. Is clearly in race-mode this time and, already a black-type winner, should be competitive for a place in the frame
- GILLES GRIF – Back under harness after faulting in a monte Gr.3 over track and trip on 31 January, and will have other ambitions
- MESSI PASS – Fine colt in the monte discipline. Is here solely for reasons of conditioning and can be passed over
- MORPHEUS DU LOISIR – Starts for the first time since running 4th in a Class A under these conditions in late-December. Front pads fitted for comeback but is still not an obvious choice
- MILAN – A beaten 2nd to MENTOR DE PLAY (16) over 2100m here on 19 February. Is in good company once more and although unlikely to win this, can nevertheless pick up a cheque
- MARQUETY DE BAILLY – Bit off more than he could chew early last month when 10th of 11 in 2100m Gr.2 Prix Ephrem Houel. Returns to a more suitable level but still has more to find
- MIRAKALU MANAZIF – Wonderfully-consistent type that had been knocking at the door before being given a rest. Gets to race with modified shoeing for the first time and looks main threat to MENTOR DE PLAY (16)
- MISTRAL CASTELLE – Fine trotter with group form but starts for the first time since November and is going to need the race
- MENTOR DE PLAY – Enjoying quite the renaissance since the turn of the year, winning 2 straight. Franck Blandin could not have wished for a better entry and will be expecting to win this
Summary: Facile winner over course and distance in early-February, on his first barefoot start, MENTOR DE PLAY (16) stylishly confirmed over 2100m later in the month, and considering the engagement will be well-backed to complete the hat-trick. The consistently-performant MIRAKALU MANAZIF (14) has not been seen out since New Year’s Eve but he thrives at Vincennes and will be competitively-shod for the first time. A Gr.3 winner last November, at the expense of the favourite, MUSIKO CAUVELLIERE (8) has a race under his belt since his winter break and, freshly-configured, must be considered a contender. MOONWALK D’HERIPRE (2) returns to conditions he appreciates and, if behaved, is unlikely to disappoint.

C7 – PRIX DU BOIS DE VINCENNES – 2850m (a2m) – Gr3 – Harness – EUR € 90,000 - KOBAYASHI – Serious element that has not put a foot wrong in either code since the winter break. Is unlikely to impose but will be barefoot again and very hard to ignore
- KSAR – Has shown marked improvement since early last month. Put in a good finish in Gr.3 Prix du Plateau de Gravelle here 3 weeks ago and will be expected to play an active role
- JAZZMAN DEBAILLEUL – Top-tier trotter that lost his way last autumn and will first need to re-establish his credentials
- COBRA KILLER GAR – Classy type that was surprisingly eliminated in a Gr.3 here 3 weeks ago. Had previously won 14 of last 17 races and will be expected to bounce back and bring the fight to INO DU LUPIN (9)
- HULYSSE DIGEO – 3rd in Gr.3 Prix du Luxembourg in January prior to coming 5th, a place behind KSAR (2), in Gr.3 Prix du Plateau de Gravelle here 3 weeks ago. Would be preferred competitively-shod but cannot be discounted
- GENDREEN – Has looked particularly ordinary in all 4 starts this year and even going barefoot will have few friends
- HANNIBAL TUILERIE – Undeniably capable but can prove a handful. On good behaviour though, can get a look in
- IBIKI DE HOUELLE – Reliability not his strong suit but recent Gr.1 performance was eye-catchingly good. Has imposed just the once over 2850m, but in current condition is very easy to recommend
- INO DU LUPIN – Consistently performant sort facing first objective of the winter after a necessary return run 10 days ago. Benefits from a good entry and enjoys a decent chance of getting back to victorious ways
- FULTON – Has done nothing of note since running 2nd in a monte Gr.2 here 3 months ago and is unlikely to spring any surprises
- INEXESS BLEU – Talented trotter with excellent course-and-distance credentials. Has not been seen out since November though, and incurs the penalty, and with shoes on will have little to offer
Summary: A fine campaigner with nothing to prove at this level, INO DU LUPIN (9) will be shod to preference following his Laval prep and, nicely engaged on the front line, can open his 2026 account. One of the most consistent horses in the field, and as versatile as they come, COBRA KILLER GAR (4) must not be dismissed because of his recent elimination. IBIKI DE HOUELLE (8) sprang a 47-1 surprise when 3rd in the Gr.1 Prix de Paris a month ago; he may not be the most reliable of horses but with form maintained will have a lot to contribute. Runner-up in a harness Gr.3 6 days before dominating the Gr.1 Prix des Centaures late last month, KOBAYASHI (1) looks competitive for a place in the picture.

C8 – PRIX DE PIERREFITTE-SUR-SEINE – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class C – Harness – EUR € 68,000 - COOL KRONOS – Has improved of late and was runner-up in a Group 3 at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 2925m on 20 February. Can go one place better
- HORS BORD – Not reliable but was not disgraced when fourth in Class D at Le Croisé-Laroche over 2825m on 7 March. Probably better that longer distance but can earn some money
- IRIS FROM – Very consistent and finished third in a Group 3 at Amiens over 2900m on 4 March. Has run well this course and distance and is capable of an upset
- HAIDA SAUTONNE – A faller last time out at Cahnes-sur-Mer over 2925m on 20 February. Battling to find best form and others make more appeal
- FOREVER JIEL – Disqualified twice in a row, the latest at this course over 2850m on 14 January. Probably best watched for now
- IRON DU GERS – Has only been modest this year and was 7th in Class C over 2700m at this track on 25 January. Did better last year and is not out of it
- JOLIE SURPRISE – Not reliable and faulted last time out over this course and distance on 25 January. Can make the frame when smart

- JAPPELOUP TURGOT – Has only been modest of late and finished 8th in Class D at Cordemais over 2825m on 27 February. Might play a minor role at very best
- ODANA VRIJTHOUT – On a very long losing run but was fourth last time out at Wolvega over 2600m on 6 March. Barefoot this time but more is needed to beat these rivals
- GENERAL DU NORD – Not reliable and finished 6th in Class A at Arras over 2875m on 29 June. Returns from a break and could need this run
- CERTAINLY (SWE) – Has lost the way of late and was disqualified last time out at Le Croisé-Laroche over 2825m on 7 March. Others are preferred
- JOBSPOST – Successful in his last two starts, the latest in Class D over this course and distance on 25 February. Can complete his hat-trick
- INFINIMENT CITRON – Probably needed the last run when 8th in Class D at Caen over 2450m on 5 March. Fitter this time and could earn some money
- DYLAN DOG FONT – Has disqualification issues and faulted last time out over this track and trip on 25 February. Others make more appeal
- DIVA DEL RONCO – Does well when barefoot and was runner-up in Class D over this track and trip on 25 February. Should be a threat once again
Summary: JOBSPOST (13) has struck form with a bang and may well complete a hat-trick over a course and distance that clearly suits. DIVA DEL RONCO (16) chased home that rival last month and should be right there at the finish once again. IRON DU GERS (6) has only been modest of late but does like this course and can bounce back to be a threat. JOLIE SURPRISE (7) is not reliable but is not out of it on her best form.

- FIGHTER KRONOS – Has struggled of late and faulted last time out at this track over 2100m on 17 February. Needs to find a few a lengths to score
- FERAHAN AS – Disqualified last time out at this track over 2100m on 17 February. Needs to find a few lengths to beat these rivals
- LEGACY JIEL – Unreliable and finished 7th in Class B at this track over 2700m on 27 February. Has a place chance in this line-up
- LOBBING DE BLARY – Has some fair form and finished 5th in Class B over 2700m at this course on 27 February. Can make the frame
- LAUREATE DRY – Showed some improvement when fourth in Class B over this course and distance on 7 February. Might need to do more to beat these rivals
- LOUIS VITTON MIJO – Unreliable but was fourth in a Group 2 at this track over 2700m on 8 February. Has major disqualification issues but can also earn money when smart
- LEONARDO VICI – Does best when racing without shoes and was victorious last time out in Class B at this track over 2700m on 27 November. Returns from a break but can follow up if fit enough

- FAKIR ROC – A barefoot winner last time out at Milan over 2120m on 8 February. Tougher task in this line-up and others make more appeal
- LAST MAN – Not reliable but was runner-up in Class B at this track over 2100m on 17 February. Just as good this distance and can earn some money
- LOUSTIC DE SALOMAX – Succesful in Class B at this course over 2700m on 27 February. Very consistent and is quite capable of doubling up
- LALUNA DES FORGES – Victorious in her last two starts, the latest in Class B over this track and trip on 7 February. Can complete her hat-trick
- LUPIN D’OLMEN – Completed a hat-trick in good style with his Class A success at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 2925m on 8 March. Must be respected for that
- LUMINOSITY – Not reliable and finished 7th in Class B at this course over 2100m on 17 February. Needs to do a bit more to score
- LOVER MAN – May have needed his last run when 7th in a Group 2 at Amiens over 2900m on 4 March. Barefoot this time and could contest the finish
Summary: LEONARDO VICI (8) is returning from a break. He is talented though and remains barefoot, so is capable of scoring again if fit enough. Rival LOUSTIC DE SALOMAX (12) is fit and was a good winner at this track last month, making him a lively danger. LOVER MAN (16) probably needed his last run and races barefoot this time, so can contest the finish. LUPIN D’OLMEN (14) has some nice recent wins and would not be a surprise winner.

Summary: A very interesting lucky last race. JONGLEUSE DE BRY (5) has maintained a very healthy win strike rate throughout her career and can win yet again over a course and distance that suits. JEUNE ORANGE COTON (1) is hard to trust but is capable of contesting the finish when staying on the trot. JOURNEE REVEE (14) is talented but does carry disqualification risks; she can be a threat if smart and might go one better after hitting the crossbar twice in a row.
