C2 – PRIX DE CONTEVILLE – 2450m (a1m1/2) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 21,000 - MARVELOUS PIYA – Encouraging 2nd of 12 in a Class E over course and distance 3 weeks ago and can play a leading role if Mathieu Mottier keeps her focused
- MELODIA JOSSELYN – Confirmed February’s excellent qualification when victorious on debut at Landivisiau on 8 May, winning a 2600m Class G. Makes Caen debut with morale intact and is eminently capable of securing the double
- MANDRAGORA FLEURY – Ran 3rd over track and trip before finishing 7th of 13 in a 2000m Rambouillet Class E on 20 April. Will be more at home over the Caen profile and is unlikely to go home empty-handed
- MURCIELAGO MIJO – Returns to a hard surface after opening her account in a 2000m Rambouillet Class E on 20 April. Unlikely to win this but will not be far off the mark if she turns
- MARGOT PAROYO – Came good 4th of 11 in a 2850m Laval Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Form is plainly heading in the right direction and Sébastien Baude can be confident of a big run
- MAZERATI PAJJ – 4th of 11 in a 2800m Chartres Class E on comeback 10 days ago. Pitted against a better bunch this time and chances limited
- MOONLIGHT SHADOW – 4th of 13 in a 2700m Class E at La Capelle on 8 May. Has placed racing clockwise but in this company will struggle to make her mark
- MAYA GERBEHAYE – Put a trio of sanctions behind her to run 2nd of 12 in a 2900m Amiens Class F 2 weeks ago, but in this category is unlikely to spice things up
- MASTERCLASS D’EARL – Reassuring 4th of 12 on re-entry mid-April in a 2800m Argentan Class E and will be competitive for the win if she gets off on the right foot
- MARIE OH FREDLAU – Has not been seen out since being sanctioned in a 2175m Vincennes Class D last November and is unlikely to be given a hard race
- MARAVIGLIA – Looked a different sort on comeback at Reims a month back when 3rd of 13 in a 2550m Class E. Will have progressed for the run and with a top driver in the bike can lose her maiden status
Summary: A well-related filly, MARAVIGLIA (11) left a good impression in last month’s comeback and with Yoann Lebourgeois reining can impose this time. She will still face opposition from MELODIA JOSSELYN (2) who got her career off to a flying start just 9 days ago, and MASTERCLASS D’EARL (9) who gave a reassuring account of herself at Argentan. As good going one direction as the other, MARGOT PAROYO (5) must be afforded respect.

C3 – PRIX DE CRETTEVILLE – 2450m (a1m1/2) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 21,000 - LADY KEPLER – Sanctioned in a 3200m Landivisiau Class F on 8 May. Has shown little aptitude for the game and can be written off
- LITTLE DU RIB – Unexceptional 5th of 8 finishers in a 2800m Rambouillet Class F on 4 May. Is not without merit though and should be good enough to hold her own
- LADY’S SECRET – Respectable 4th of 10 in a 2575m Saint-Brieuc Class E on 2 May. Has demonstrated decent consistency when racing unshod and while unlikely to get her nose in front, can still figure prominently
- LEANE DU PARC – Ran 5th under these conditions before repeating in a 2800m Bernay Class E on 1 May, but runs shod this time and best to hold off
- LEONORA – Made up for Vire sanction when 2nd of 14 to LOLLIPOP MIJACK (13) in a 2700m Graignes Class F on 1 May. David Thomain in the bike again and will be expected to contest the finish
- LAISSEZ FAIRE – Has not been seen out since finishing last of 8 in a 2725m Cabourg Class E in early-January. Shoes on and no threat
- LASKA ANGELE – Sanctioned in last 2, most recently a 2800m Cholet Class F last Tuesday. Can however make a big impact if Paul Ploquin assures her initial strides
- LELLAMIKA – Sanctioned when preparing for this in a 2800m Cholet Class F late-April. Still in conditioning mode though and others easier to back
- LAST CHANCE – Makes first appearance since running 8th of 14 in a 2175m Vincennes Class E last December and will need the race
- LASTOJAINE – Beaten only by a very good horse in a 2675m Class F at Le Mont-Saint-Michel 3 weeks ago. Goes barefoot again and will be expected to finish in the mix once more
- LADY EVER – Good 2nd at Maure prior to coming 4th of 12 in a 2700m Graignes Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Hind shoes off for first time and looks competitive for a first-5 cheque
- LA BELLE JAMINI – Unthreatening 6th of 11 in a 2200m Class E here on 26 April. Is confirmed at Caen but in this company will struggle to leave her mark
- LOLLIPOP MIJACK – Made short work of a 2700m Graignes Class F on 1 May. Takes on a better lot this time but still has the quality to confirm
- LIBELLA DU HOULBET – 8th of 14 behind LA BELLE JAMINI (12) in a Class E over 2200m here 3 weeks ago. Has a lot going for her this time and looks a possible spoiler
Summary: Nicely-engaged close to the limit off earnings, and already boasting a 75 percent win-rate, LOLLIPOP MIJACK (13) steps up in category but clearly has the margin to confirm. Runner-up to her at Graignes recently, LEONORA (5) is progressing well and again looks the main adversary. LASKA ANGELE (7) has bags of ability and will have her chances if she gets off on the right foot. LIBELLA DU HOULBET (14) is no champion but she enjoys a fine entry, races first-time barefoot, and with Mathieu Mottier reining will be afforded every chance.

C4 – PRIX DE GENNEVILLE – 2450m (a1m1/2) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 21,000 - LE RIB – Makes first start since winning a 2700m Graignes monte Class F last January and is not about to shake things up
- LOUIS GAILLARD – Dependable type stepping up in category after running 2nd of 12 in a 2800m Rambouillet Class F a fortnight back. Mathieu Mottier gets the nod and is unlikely to let the side down
- LITTLE LOVE – Sanctioned in a 2750m Elbeuf Class F on 27 April. Yet to show a modicum of last season’s potential and can be ruled out
- L’ARGENTIER – 6th of 13, on re-entry, in a 2800m Cholet Class F on 28 April. Hind shoes off for first time but others still easier to back
- L’ESPOIR INDIGO – Unexceptional 5th of 7 finishers, on comeback, in a 2750m Elbeuf Class F 3 weeks ago and even with pads fitted for the first time will not be improving on that
- LUTIN DU BUST – Made it 4 straight sanctions when faulting in a 2650m Bordeaux Class E last December. Unraced since and will have nothing to contribute
- LUCKY DU MINON – Handy element that finished last of 8 on re-entry in a 2575m Saint-Brieuc Class E a fortnight ago. Still in conditioning mode though and best to wait
- LORFEVRE DU VINOIS – Quality trotter that ran 12th of 17 in a 2200m Class E conditioner here 3 weeks ago. Has already imposed under these conditions and, barefoot for the occasion, can do so again
- LAFAYETTE DU BOURG – Reasonable trotter that held his own when 5th of 13 in a 2200m Class E here 2 months ago. Has freshness on his side and while not a priority can still play a small role
- LOOKING CHIC – Patently useful but yet to get into his stride this term, latterly sanctioned in a 2850m Laval Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Entrusted to Paul Ploquin this time and should not be far from the action if he gets his charge off on the right foot
- LEADER TURGOT – Like a horse reborn since starting to race barefoot, most recently 2nd of 13 in a 2700m Class F at La Capelle 2 weeks ago. Is close to his race and must be considered a leading contender
- LUPIN DU RIB – Unlucky 7th of 12 in a 2800m Chartres Class E 10 days ago. Has tons of ability and will not be far from the action if kept out of trouble
- LEADER DU MOUCHEL – Moderate sort making first appearance since being sanctioned in a 2850m Vincennes Class E last November and is not a concern
- LABEL GEMA – 5th of 8 finishers in a 3200m Fougeres Class F on comeback earlier this month. Will have progressed for the race and the engagement of Benjamin Rochard speaks volumes. Chance
Summary: Course-and-distance winner at 3, LORFEVRE DU VINOIS (8) has two races under his belt since the lengthy layoff; he races barefoot for the first time, is reunited with Yoann Lebourgeois who has won 2 for 2 with him, and looks the obvious choice. They can still expect to feel some heat from the terrifically-entered LABEL GEMA (14) who left a good impression on re-entry, and LEADER TURGOT (11) who has started to come good again. LUPIN DU RIB (12) endured a tough trip at Chartres recently, but sports a fresh configuration and Jean-Loïc Claude Dersoir will be eager to put things right.

C5 – PRIX DU PETIT COURS – 2200m (a1m1/2) – Class F Amateur Riders Race – Harness – EUR € 19,000 - KEVA MADRIK – Sanctioned in a 2900m Arras Class F 3 weeks ago. A total write-off so far this year and can be confidently ruled out
- KATARINA DE LOU – Disappointing so far this year, latterly sanctioned in a 2725m Elbeuf Class F 8 days ago, and has no possible chance
- KITY DE LA MORTRIE – 3rd of 16 in a 2800m Cholet Class F on 28 April. Goes barefoot again and is ideally-positioned to win this
- KALISTA DE HOUELLE – 3rd of 16 in a 2700m Class F at Le Croise-Laroche late last month. Has yet to deliver right-handed but in current condition is easy to like for a place on the podium
- KENTIA HAUFOR – Imposed at Ecommoy when first-time barefoot prior to coming 4th of 10 in a 2875m Meslay-du-Maine Class E on 5 May. Handed the 5-spot, sports 4 pads for first time, and is unlikely to go home empty-handed
- KISSABELLA – Tricky character that finished 10th of 12 in a 2450m ridden Class F here 2.5 weeks ago and can be ignored
- KARLESS DANICA – Ran 2nd at Meslay on re-entry before tenaciously winning a 2725m Lisieux Class E on 27 March. Comes here fresh and from front line can play a leading role
- KLOE D’ARRY – 6th of 7 finishers on re-entry in a 2825m Chartres Class E 10 days ago. Has been reconfigured for the occasion and even though drawn wide, still looks good enough to make first 5
- KADABRA – Has gone from strength to strength this term, most recently winning a 2900m Challans Class F on 27 April. Should take well to Caen conditions and looks main threat to KITY DE LA MORTRIE (3)
- KISS ME DE MADKER – Handy element but below-par 6th of 10 finishers in a 2725m Graignes Class F 8 days ago and, even with hind shoes off, is not about to spring a surprise
- KATE PERRINE – Has 3 races in her following a 15 months’ absence, latterly sanctioned in a 2500m Class F at La Rochelle on 1 May, and running barefoot for the first time could pleasantly surprise
- KALYPSO MI AMOR – Surprise 2nd at Bordeaux but disappointing 8th of 11 behind KISS ME DE MADKER (10) in a 2750m Elbeuf Class F 3 weeks ago and can be passed over
- KALOUMA DELADOU – Sanctioned in both starts this term, most recently a 2400m Amiens monte Class F on 3 May. Races barefoot this time, has already imposed at Caen, but others easier to trust
- KINGALA – Consistent sort that was surprisingly sanctioned in a 2825m Chartres Class E 10 days ago. Returns to racing shod and, already proven here, can get a look-in
- KALINKA DU HOME – Made up for Pontivy performance when 4th of 15 in a 2150m Argentan Class F last Monday. Handed a tough draw and backs up with modest aspiration
- KINA DE WALLIS – Hard to knock so far this term, latterly 3rd of 11 in a 2750m Elbeuf Class F a fortnight ago and in this company will struggle to make her mark
Summary: KITY DE LA MORTRIE (3) has been on the right trajectory since returning in March, proved herself here last season, and from the 3-spot can get straight back in the game. KADABRA (9) has pulled a tough draw but showed her form at Challans 3 weeks ago and must be considered a contender. KARLESS DANICA (7) took no time returning to the winners’ enclosure and is thoroughly capable of complementing her Lisieux victory. KALISTA DE HOUELLE (4) is clearly in fine fettle and from the 4-spot will be dangerous.

C6 – PRIX DE RIVA BELLA – 2450m (a1m1/2) – Class F Race – Mounted – EUR € 27,000 - JUBLA VIKING – 6th of 7 finishers in a 2800m Rambouillet Class F last Sunday and will need to raise her game
- GINKGO ROCQ – Placed here in early-March but disappointing since, latterly last but one behind JERIKA DE KERYANN (6) in a Class F over track and trip 2 weeks ago and can be confidently disregarded
- JIL – Sanctioned in a 2800m Cholet Class F on 28 April. Seldom far from faulting but has references in exalted company and is not incapable of winning this
- HIER ENCORE – Very disappointing for past 18 months, latterly sanctioned in a Class F over track and trip 2 weeks ago and has no realistic chance
- JOYAU DE JANZE – Fine campaigner that ran 3rd of 12 in a 2850m Laval Class C on 24 April. Has been freshly reconfigured for the occasion and legitimately bids to keep his unbeaten Caen record intact
- JERIKA DE KERYANN – 2nd of 10 in a Class F over track and trip 2 weeks ago. In marginally better company this time but appreciates these conditions and can make first 5
- JABLO DU CHENE – Got straight down to business on re-entry late last month, winning a 2800m Cholet Class F with ease. Boasts solid Caen credentials and will be expected to challenge for the win
- FILOU DES ULMES – Unremarkable sort that was sanctioned in a 3200m Fougeres Class F on 1 May and will have few if any takers
- JAZZY THOURJAN – Takes a dip in category after running 5th of 11 in a 2175m Vincennes Class D 2.5 weeks ago. Has no right-handed references but sports 4 pads for the first time and in current shape is easy to like
- HATE YOU BEYLEV – Courageous 2nd of 11 in a 2850m Maure-de-Bretagne Class D on 23 April. Has decent Caen references but would have better prospects a level down
- JAMBIER D’OURVILLE – 3rd on re-entry before running 2nd of 16 in a 2650m Alencon Class F 3 weeks ago. Thierry Duvaldestin could not have wished for a better entry and Luka Ott will be keen to make hay
Summary: An absolute dynamo under the saddle, the well-engaged JAMBIER D’OURVILLE (11) has returned from his break in cracking form and Luka Ott’s weight allowance will only improve his already good chances. Principal opposition should logically come from JABLO DU CHENE (7) who dominated a decent field on his comeback late last month. Unbeaten in 2 starts over course and distance, and sporting a new formula, JOYAU DE JANZE (5) is easy to like, as is the trickier but reconfigured JIL (3) who will have the measure of most here provided she stays in stride.

C7 – PRIX DE CABOURG – 2200m (a1m1/2) – Class F Race – Harness – EUR € 21,000 - KAISER LATAL – 5th of of 13, a place behind KILLER D’ENFER (6), in a 2800m Villedieu-les-Poëles Class F on 4 May. Has ground to make up but sports front pads this time and can get a look-in
- KORSIKO – Put 5 straight sanctions behind him to win a 2725m Graignes Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Is plainly in rude health and can again figure prominently if Cédric Terry keeps him focused
- KAPORAL GAME – Returns to a hard surface after finishing last but one in a 2700m Pontivy Class F on 1 May. Reverts to his most performant configuration but the draw will do him no favours
- KING PRESTIGE – Last of 9 when preparing for this in a 2575m Saint-Brieuc Class E a fortnight ago. Ideally-positioned on front line and, entrusted to Yoann Lebourgeois, can get straight down to business
- KIDAM DU METZ – Left quite the impression, despite hanging, when victorious in a 2750m Class E at La Capelle 9 days ago, on first start since January. Enjoys a good draw and will be competitive for a place in the frame
- KILLER D’ENFER – 2nd at Lisieux before running 4th of 13 in a 2800m Villedieu-les-Poëles Class F on 4 May. Has previously won here, is competitively-shod, and unlikely to disappoint
- KEEP YOUR LOVE – 7th of 13 in a 2975m Jallais Class F 2 weeks ago. Starts in front, with Benjamin Rochard in the bike, and is not to be underestimated
- KAOLIN MOUROTAIS – Got back in the winners’ circle at Elbeuf 9 days ago when successful in a 2750m Class F. Is new to the venue and although unlikely to repeat will still have his supporters
- KADOR DE LA COUR – Pleasant but unthreatening 4th of 10 in a 2875m Meslay-du-Maine conditioner on 5 May. Has solid references at this level and will be expected to figure prominently
- KING JULMA – Won a 2575m Bihorel-lès-Rouen Class F in early-April but is shod and being aimed too high this time, and can be ruled out
- KYMI JACK – Returns to racing barefoot after being sanctioned in a 2150m Argentan Class F last Monday. Starts on back row but appears to be in good shape and, with application, can make first 5
- KALOGERO SI – 7th of 16 in a 3200m Fougeres Class F 9 days ago. Has looked ordinary so far this term and must raise his game
- KINDER DES HOUX – Unremarkable trotter that was sanctioned in a 2825m Durtal Class F on 23 March. Has had time to freshen up but still looks out of his depth
- KOMMODORE – Unseen since running 8th of 10 finishers in a 2600m Nancy Class G last November and is going to need the race
- KOOKABURRA – Starts for first time since coming 4th of 15 in a 2800m Vire Class F last November. Shoes on and no threat this time
Summary: Put away after winning 4 of his last 5 starts in 2024, KING PRESTIGE (4) has a brace of conditioners under his belt this term, is shod to preference, and is going to take all the beating. Also with 2 runs in him since the break, KADOR DE LA COUR (9) will be fully fit and should take well to Caen conditions. A winner on comeback, KIDAM DU METZ (5) will not be sent out at 37/1 this time and makes his Caen debut with a good hand to play. Sanctioned in his first 2 this year, KORSIKO (2) soundly imposed at Graignes recently and, with stride in check, can confirm.

C8 – PRIX DE COMBRAY – 2450m (a1m1/2) – Class E Race – Mounted – EUR € 24,000 - KASTELBRAC – Switches code for first time after being sanctioned in a 2800m Class F at Villedieu-les-Poëles 2 weeks ago and can be confidently passed over
- KOPS GEDE – Sanctioned in last 3, most recently a 2800m Cholet Class E last Tuesday and backs up with little to no chance
- KALISTA D’AVRIL – Sanctioned earlier in the month in a 2875m Meslay Class E. Is not devoid of ability but is particularly capricious and will have few takers
- KEEGAN DE PARNIERE – Sanctioned on re-entry 9 days ago in a 2750m harness Class E at La Capelle. Is too frequently object of the stewards’ gaze and can be passed over
- LEBARON D’OURVILLE – Has struggled since securing a harness double earlier this year, most recently 7th of 9 in a 2875m Meslay harness Class D 12 days ago. Sports modified shoeing for monte debut but cannot be considered a priority
- LEGENDE DES ECUS – Has turned a corner since switching codes, most recently 2nd of 12 in a Class E over course and distance, and again looks main threat to LUXUEUSE DANICA (11)
- KALEA DREAM – Pleasant 4th of 9 finishers in a Class E under these conditions 3 weeks ago but a repeat seems most improbable
- LANCELOT DE BEYLEV – Sanctioned in a 2950m Toulouse Class F in early-April. Enjoys a fine monte record and has had time to recalibrate. First 5
- KOLOSSE RHODES – Back under the saddle after coming 5th of 7 finishers in a 2825m Chartres Class E 10 days ago. Is no slouch on a good day but others easier to back
- KEOPS LUDOIS – Last but one, on return to competition, in a 3125m Angers Class E on 10 April. Has ample ability, will be shod to preference this time, and must be afforded respect
- LUXUEUSE DANICA – Won 3 of last 4, latterly a 2875m Enghien Class D on 19 April. Has thrived since moving yard and can pick up another victory
- KORINTO BELLO – Last of 14 when preparing for this in a 2800m Cholet Class F conditioner on 28 April and with Mathieu Mottier aboard can make his monte debut a winning one
- LATINO BEJI – 2nd of 17 in a 2875m Argentan harness Class E on 14 April. Is undeniably useful and will not be far off the mark if he stays in stride
- LOUISIANE KERYVON – 3rd of 10 in a 2200m Vincennes Class D early last month. Placed on lone Caen start and while not a priority, should nevertheless hold her own
- KERSIGAN – Opened his 2025 account at La Guerche-de-Bretagne before coming 5th of 11 in a 2975m Toulouse Class E 3 weeks ago. Races barefoot this time but, at this level, will have limited prospects
- KSAR LUDOIS – Unable to pull off the hat-trick when sanctioned in a 3225m Fougeres Class E on 20 April. Ideally-engaged, with leading jockey in the saddle, and is not to be underestimated
Summary: Enjoying something of a renaissance since starting to race barefoot, LUXUEUSE DANICA (11) ran 3rd here before imposing at Enghien a month back. LEGENDE DES ECUS (6) beat her in March and again looks a serious proposition, as does the Mathieu Mottier-partnered KORINTO BELLO (12) who takes to the discipline for the first time. Stride issues meant KSAR LUDOIS (16) was unable to confirm his re-entry success but is reunited with Benjamin Rochard for whom he has never disappointed.

PHINEAS (3) broke his maiden streak in his third start and that can boost his confidence in him producing a similar effort over the trip. PACIFISTE (2) was not disgraced when finishing sixth last time out and holds a solid place chance against all rivalries.
