CRIMSON SPIRIT – 3.00 Brighton
If CRIMSON SPIRIT is in the same form as at Salisbury he should be able to cope with a 5 lb penalty. Fellow penalised runner Great Blasket may provide the chief threat but this is a contest where a case can be made for all 5 runners.
GINCIDENT – 3.45 Beverley
This can go to GINCIDENT, who ran a cracker in a more competitive event at York earlier this month and still looks feasibly treated. Spioradalta and Papagei look the principal dangers.
MISS HONEY – 6.45 Newbury
MISS HONEY made a successful start at Kempton a fortnight ago, looking sure to progress given she proved green through the race, and she can defy a penalty. Orion’s Belt was well backed and showed plenty at Salisbury and will improve turned out again quickly. There are races in Mystic Moment, while Kaori and Crystal Pier are a couple of interesting newcomers.
