C1 – PRIX DE CRIQUEVILLE – 2000m (a1m1/4) – TURF – Maiden Race – Flat – EUR € 20,100

  1. PONTOS – 5th on his last run, that was over 1600m in a maiden race at Compiegne on March 28th. Merits consideration
  2. KALAHANI – Two good runs, 2nd on each of them. He was beaten 0.5L at Vichy over 2000m on July 30th on his last run. He can get off the mark
  3. ART PIECE – Unplaced on the one run over 1600m at Chantilly on March 13th. Has to make vast progress to be involved
  4. LA FRENAYE – Good 2nd on her debut at Clairefontaine on July 2nd over 2400m in a newcomer’s race. She will improve and can be competitive
  5. ALAVESA – Placed on both starts, 3rd at Compiegne on her last run over 1800m in a maiden race. One to keep onside
  6. AFTER DARK – Five unplaced runs, 5th on her last start over 2200m in a maiden race on July 7th at Dieppe. Look for an alternative
  7. MQSE DES NYMPHES – Placed 3rd on her last two runs, the latter over 1600m in a maiden race at Vichy on July 30th. Among the leading chances
  8. PIZZAZZ – Unraced gelding by French Fifteen, the dam was unraced. Stable runners tend to need a run or two for experience. Watch the betting for clues
  9. IMPROBABLE – Unraced gelding by Persian King, the dam was placed three times, over 1400m and 1600m. Best watched on his racecourse debut
  10. SORENGO – Unraced gelding by Yafta, the dam won 3 races at up to 1900m. He might need this run for experience. The betting can be informative
  11. DE TALE – Colt by De Treville, the dam never ran. The booking of Mickael Barzalona catches the attention. He is one to look at in the betting for clues
    Summary: KALAHANI (2) has finished runner-up on both starts, most recently over 2000m at Vichy in late July, and looks ready to open his account. LA FRENAYE (4) shaped well when second on debut at Clairefontaine in early July, though the drop back in trip may hand the advantage to the colt. ALAVESA (5) is interesting each way and should appreciate the step up in distance. DE TALE (11) has a nice profile and is worth a market check.

  24. PINK VALENTINE – Fair 2nd two runs back over 1300m at this track in a Class 4 handicap on August 7th. She enters calculations
  25. SAGANNE – Two unplaced runs this year, she was 9th at Clairefontaine over 1400m on August 6th. She has more to do, but has place claims
  26. BREATHE ON – Three unplaced runs this year, 9th at Compiegne on June 27th over 1400m in a Class 3 handicap last time out. Best watched for the time being

    Summary: L’IENISSEI (10) has a decent starting position in stall 4 and has shaped well recently at this track. He won over 1500m at this track in 2024. LE CENTRAL (1) has to concede weight all around, but he will be in good heart after success at Le Touquet 11 days ago. He can be a threat to the selection. SAGANNE (14) can be expected to be more involved than in her two runs this year so far. DORIANELLO (9) also warrants respect and can make the frame.

WHY CHOPE (5) could be an option for the each-way backers to look at. GAST A GAST (1) is another to consider.

    Summary: PIECE MAITRESSE (7) has a good draw in stall 2 and has been in good shape recently. Her second at Beaupreau came only 5 days ago. If coping with the quick turnaround, she is the one to beat. IMPARATOR (1) finished in mid-field at Clairefontaine in early July when last seen and is capable of making his presence felt. GREYMARA (5) can get back to form and is one to include in all of the place bet permutations. LADY LUCK (6) won her maiden in June and can be involved.

    Summary: PURE LEGEND (4) ran a solid race when he was second over 1600m at Parislongchamp on May 29th in a Class 1 race. He can go one place better today. NIZAM (5) came back to form when he was second in a Class 2 at Clairefontaine 13 days ago. He can make the selection work hard. PINKY CEN (1) can also threaten. She has acquitted herself well recently with two placed efforts. MISTY QUALITY (11) is honest, and she looks best of the remainder.

LIMPIDE (4) was a little bit far back early on in the race when she was third last time out at Dieppe in a similar type of event. OTHON (2) heads the rest.

FILM DIRECTOR (14) gets in at the foot of the handicap and can be a threat. REJAITT (11) ran well to be third at Parislongchamp two runs back. If emulating that run, she can make things interesting. HOT AND BEAUTY (2) also appeals and could be value in the betting exchanges.

  97. CHANEL GOLD – 9th on her last run over 1400m at Deauville in a Class 3 handicap on August 3rd. Needs to be more reliable
  98. IRISHKAMAYA – 4th on her last run over 1200m at Chantilly on June 24th in a Class 3 handicap. Up in class and has work ahead of her
    Summary: ALABAMA MOON (8) ran an encouraging race when she was fifth in a Class 2 handicap 25 days ago at this track. She looks like the one to beat. ALREYYAH (5) has solid course form, a win two runs back over 1200m in July, and a fourth in a competitive handicap since at this track two weeks ago. HONEYFLOWER (6) is a solid option each way and is one to put into all of the place bet permutations. DIVIDE AND RULE (1) has top weight, but looks like a good enough to be involved at the business end. WAZIERS (10) is also worth a mention.

  1. ISBA BESNOT – In good shape and was 4th in class F at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 2700m on 14 August. Capable of contesting the finish again
  2. HADORABLE MEC – Unreliable and finished 8th in class F at Aix-les-Bains over 2700m on 5 August. Victorious in July and can bounce back to score
  3. GLADIATOR DE NIMES – Unreliable and finished 8th in class H at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 2925m on 27 July. Needs to do more to beat these rivals
  4. HALBI – Disappointing last run when 10th in class F at Nimes over 2750m on 15 June. Consistent before that and could play a minor role
  5. GAETAN – Disqualified in class F at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 2150m on 9 July when barefoot. Not barefoot this time but is capable of winning
  6. HAPPY LYL – Holding form and finished 4th in class E at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 2700m on 16 August. Can be competitive again
  7. GRANDIOSO – Disqualified in class G at Divonne-Lees-Bains over 2600m on 17 August. Battling to find best form and others are preferred
  8. HUPPERCUT DE JOUX – Not disgraced when 5th in class E at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 2700m on 16 August. Victorious with this shoeing and can win again
  9. GENESALIA – Disqualified in class G at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 2150m on 18 August. Very unreliable and others make more appeal
    Summary: HADORABLE MEC (2) wasn’t seen to best effect last time out but if he repeats his penultimate winning effort, he could show a return to winner’ box. GAETAN (5) wasn’t on best behavior last time out and if he has the right manners in this event, he can mount a challenge. HUPPERCUT DE JOUX (8) was not disgraced at his latest effort and goes back to the shoeing combination that worked the trick two starts back. ISBA BESNOT (1) has been a consistent sort and should be in the mix once again.

  16. MYSTERE TURGOT – Returned to form and finished 4th in Class E at Hyères over 2650m on 13 August. Has disqualification issues but is not out of it
  17. MISS LOULOU – Has improved of late and was runner-up in Class D at Lyon-Parilly over 2100m on 8 June. Has a place chance in this line-up
  18. MISS MARGOT – Has some fair form and was not disgraced when 5th in Class D at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 2925m on 11 August. Can make the frame
  19. MAMZELLE CARLESS – Consistent so far and was runner-up in a Class F at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 2150m on 14 August. Can play a minor role
  20. MELODIE FAVORITE – Has run well in both starts and was runner-up in Class F at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 2925m on 30 July. Can be a threat yet again
  21. MASSIMO – Unreliable but finished 7th in Class E at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 2925m on 27 July. Place chance on best form
    Summary: MICHIGAN HAWK (4) is 1-1 with his current driver and they will look to remain unbeaten. He gets the green emote and a big performance is expected. MALICE D’OCCAGNES (6) has been running to a consistent level off late and should have strong claims of landing the spoils. MERALAIMPER (5) has had to settle for second best at his last three and will be looking to break that duck to get that maiden win. MELODIE FAVORITE (11) is unexposed and remains with plenty scope for improvement which should see her having a say in the outcome.

  65. KOMIFO – 9th of 13 in a 2475m Francheville Class F on 17 August. Has been disappointing for some time though and is unlikely to spice things up
  66. KERBEROS – 8th of 11 in a Class F under these conditions 2 weeks ago. Ideally-entered on the front line and, racing barefoot this time, should not be far off the mark. First 5
  67. KENZO BY MAGALOU – Back under harness after being pulled-up in a 2550m Class H at Gournay-en-Bray on 3 August. Pleased on sole Pornichet outing though and, terrifically-engaged, should not be overlooked
  68. KELROC – Eliminated here 3 weeks ago but ran reassuring 2nd of 10 in a 2650m Class G at Les Sables-d’Olonne last week, and will be no pushover if Frederic Guinhut manages to keep him focused
  69. KADOR DE SEVRE – Reunited with Mathieu Mottier after running 7th of 9 in a 2575m Château-du-Loir Class F on 27 July. Unlikely to paint the town red but has been reconfigured and will have his supporters
  70. KENNEDY TEXAN – Placed twice before running 4th of 12 in a 2950m Saint-Malo Class F a fortnight back. Gets a top driver this time and looks thoroughly capable of imposing
  71. KRALL DE CORDAY – Got back in the game at Agon 11 days ago when 3rd of 12 in a 2200m Class F and returns to a track he likes with every chance of giving KENNEDY TEXAN (15) a run for his money
    Summary: Highly regular since starting to race barefoot, and nicely-entered here, KENNEDY TEXAN (15) has been entrusted to Eric Raffin for the occasion and could well secure a first victory since April 2024. He will still face resistance from the similarly well-engaged KRALL DE CORDAY (16) who has a particular liking for Pornichet, and the freshly-reconfigured front-line starter, KAPRICCIO (6), who pleased on his lone start with Matthieu Abrivard. KELROC (13) put things right at Les Sables-d’Olonne and with application can finish close.

  74. KANDIE TILLAYE – Back in the harness discipline after being eliminated in a 2900m Dozule monte Class F last week and is not about to influence the outcome
  75. KAKKRINE AMORE – Came 6th of 11 here 2 weeks ago before being eliminated in a 2750m Class F at La Forte-Vidame 10 days later. Starts in front but still not an obvious choice
  76. KALINE DU LEVANT – Back to racing unshod-behind after coming 5th of 10 finishers in a 2700m Graignes Class F on 9 August. Is by no means a priority but with application can get in on the action
  77. KARIDY DU DOME – Eliminated in last 2, latterly a 2550m Class H at Bacqueville-en-Caux 2.5 weeks ago. Lacks reliability, not ability, and on good behaviour can challenge for a spot on the podium
  78. KELOWNA – Showed improvement when 3rd of 16 in a 2875m Carentan claimer mid-month. Is confirmed when racing shod and in this company will have a part to play
  79. KADJA DES BROUSSES – Ran 3rd at Les Sables-d’Olonne before coming 2nd of 12 in a 2400m Beaupreau Class F last Sunday. Champion driver gets the nod here and has a realistic chance of getting her off the mark
  80. KAMYNA DE GUEGUE – Last of 12 in a 2625m Class F at Le Sap last Sunday, and would be preferred in the other code
  81. KISS ME DE L’ESQUE – Got off the mark at Royan prior to being pulled-up in a 2700m Class F at Le Dorat on 9 August. Hind shoes off this time, and nicely-entered in front, but still faces a stiff test
  82. KASSIE DANOVER – Eliminated in a 2200m Agon Class F on 17 August. Can trot on a good day but current form does little to inspire confidence
  83. KELLY CHALEONNAISE – Starts for the first time since being eliminated in a 2850m Maure-de-Bretagne Class F last March and will need the run
  84. KISS ME CHERIE – Unable to confirm Château-du-Loir performance when last of 12 in a 2475m Francheville Class F on 17 August. Shoes on this time and can be passed over
  85. KADECOLE DE GUERRE – Returns to a more reasonable category after finishing last of 10 in a 2625m Cherbourg Class E 10 days ago. Has otherwise been in fine shape and at this level looks a serious proposition
  86. KANTA EMJI – 7th of 10 in a 2775m Class F at Les Sables-d’Olonne last week despite being subject to interference. Has yet to deliver at this level but has a lot going for her here and will be expected to play an active role
  87. KALINE DU BOULAY – Blows hot and cold but ran reassuring 4th of 7 finishers, a place behind KENZIE VREDEBEST (17), in a 2200m Agon Class F 11 days ago. Not a contender should give an honourable account nevertheless
  88. KENZIE VREDEBEST – Erratic mare but reassuring 3rd of 7 finishers in a 2200m Agon Class F 11 days ago. Benefits from a tremendous entry, runs barefoot, and will not be going home empty-handed
    Summary: Although still a maiden after 27 runs, KADJA DES BROUSSES (8) has twice gone close recently, sports modified shoeing, and the engagement of Eric Raffin could well make all the difference this time. KADECOLE DE GUERRE (14) starts on the back line but is significantly better than recent numbers would suggest, and has also been re-shod. Somewhat unlucky last time out, KANTA EMJI (15) returns to racing barefoot, with Matthieu Abrivard at the helm, and will have her chances. Front shoes back on here, KARIDY DU DOME (6) hails from a yard in form and will not be far from the action if her trainer keeps her focused.

  92. LYPSTIC ATOUT – Eliminated in a 2825m Sable-sur-Sarthe Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Has ample ability though, starts in front, and can play a role if he stays in stride
  93. LASCAR DE BEAUM – 5th of 7 in a 2100m Class F here 2 weeks ago. Benefits from a golden entry, has shown a liking for Pornichet, and should prove considerably more competitive

  96. LAMBADA GIRL – Lost her action in a 2300m Chateaubriant Class E 3 weeks ago. Twice a winner for Eric Raffin and can make it a 3rd if he keeps her focused
  97. LOVE DU PASSAGE – Showed the limit of his capacity when last of 9 in a 2650m Class E here a week ago. On the back line this time and is unlikely to influence the result
  98. LABEL MAGIC – Has hardly put a foot wrong this year, latterly 2nd of 10 in a 2625m Class F at Saint-Jean-de-Monts on 3 August. Is proven here and it will not be long before he gets his nose in front
  99. LA CALLAS – Respectable but unthreatening 4th of 13 in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class E on 24 July. In better company this time and chances appear slim
  100. LUCIANO VET – Made up for Mauquenchy misfortune when 4th of 10 in a 2500m Class E at La Rochelle early this month, and considering the entry, looks a serious contender. Claim
    Summary: Just a few Euros from the earnings’ threshold, LUCIANO VET (12) has show his form more than once this summer and could well make his Pornichet debut a winning one. Bertrand Le Beller will still be keeping a keen eye on the complicated LAMBADA GIRL (8) who has won 2 of her last 4, and the in-form LABEL MAGIC (10) who is due a win one of these days. Barefoot for the first time, LASCAR DE BEAUM (5) is not about to lose his maiden status but Pascal Monthule could not have wished for a better entry and will be determined to make hay.

  104. MOONLIGHT STAR – Returns to the venue after coming 5th of 12 in a Class E over course and distance a week ago. Is not about to cause an upset but can nonetheless hold her own
  105. MAESTRIA DE YEDRAG – Eliminated when unsupported in a 2875m Class E at Meslay-du-Maine mid-month and current form does little to inspire optimism
  106. MAMZELLE DREAM – 3rd in a Cabourg claimer before finishing 10th of 13 in a 2550m Cherbourg Class E 10 days ago, and has nothing to contribute
  107. MOON IN THE SKY – Placed twice right-handed before being eliminated in a Class E under these conditions, after suffering interference, on 24 July. Has had time to recalibrate but others still easier to back
  108. MARIE LOU DE LARRE – 5th of 10 in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class E on 6 August. Won on turf last month and while not a priority can nevertheless finish thereabouts
  109. MONNAIE COURANTE – Improved on Cherbourg performance when 3rd of 12 in a 2200m Agon Class E on 25 July. Comes here fresh and a repeat of her Laval effort would see her finish close once more
  110. MACCHIAVELLA – 4th of 10 in a 2100m Feurs Class E on 18 July. Is new to Pornichet but can again make first 5 provided she keeps her action together
  111. MOSTRA DE CHANLECY – Lost her maiden status in a 2200m Class F at Agon-Coutainville 3 weeks ago. Top driver at the helm and is unlikely to disappoint. Place prospect
  112. MISS BABY DU SURF – Opened her account in a 2825m Sablé-sur-Sarthe Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Is just 25 Euros from elimination and will not find a better opportunity to impose. Chance
    Summary: Winner at the first time of asking, MACARENA (3) failed to confirm when eliminated early here recently, but she is better than most and can win this if Eric Raffin gets her off on the right foot. Considerably more experienced, and maiden winner earlier in the month, MISS BABY DU SURF (12) benefits from a terrific entry and Martial Viel will be out to capitalise. MONNAIE COURANTE (9) has shown a lot of heart and Pornichet should suit her to a tee. MOSTRA DE CHANLECY (11) was another to get off the mark last time out and the presence of Mathieu Mottier in the bike will do her chances no disservice.
