- LOGUIVY SAPI – Unraced filly by Kap Rock, the dam never raced. From a respected trainer. Watch the betting patterns for clues
- LATERANORE – 7th last time out over 3550m at Fontainebleau in a Class 4 hurdle on April 16th, 4th on debut over the same track/trip in late March. Can make the top-four
- LYKORLANN – Two unplaced efforts on the flat, the most recent over 2500m at Molières on July 27th. Hurdling debut and might need this for experience
- LAGGY STAR – She failed to complete the course on her debut at Saint-Malo on August 18th in a Class 3 hurdle. Look elsewhere
- ZAUBA – Several unplaced runs on the flat and over hurdles, the latter over 1800m at Chantilly on the flat on September 5th in a Class 3 handicap. Pass over
Summary: NOTHING EYES (2) could be the best option in this Class 3 hurdle. He ran a promising debut second at Clairefontaine 15 days ago and can improve from that run. SPECIALS ONE (1) has solid placed form, with a second over track and trip in a Class 3 hurdle in mid-August when last seen. MIND OF LOVE (3) was a pleasing fourth at Clairefontaine late last month over hurdles and looks like a good option each way. CADELO (4) makes up the shortlist.

Summary: ASIF ALI (1) has strong credentials and should be more than good enough to land this claiming race. He has been placed on his last five runs in maiden races. LAKE DREAM (8) could be the one that makes him work hard for the victory. She was a fair third in a claiming race at Clairefontaine late in August on her penultimate start. BEST SISTER (5) has placed form in this class of race and can make the frame. VANINA RUNAWAY (7) is also worth a mention.

- TRIOMPHE DES BOIS – Fair 3rd on debut at Beaupreau on August 23rd in a maiden race. Might find a few of these too smart for him

Summary: TALAKAN (1) has shown more than enough ability to win a race of this kind. He looked in need of the run when finishing third at Saint-Malo in late August and should strip fitter this time. He may prove too sharp for LA FRENAYE (6), who has placed in both starts, most recently at Deauville late last month. HERMETIC (5) caught the eye on debut when fifth at Compiègne and is open to progress. TORREADOR (4) looks best of the remainder.

- MIA BELLA – Several unplaced runs recently, well beaten over 1800m at Saint-Malo on August 29th in a Class 3 handicap when last seen. Out of form and hard to recommend
Summary: LIGHT WAKEUP (6) is seeking win number eleven. He has shaped well on his last two runs, the most recent when third in a competitive Class 3 handicap at Parislongchamp 13 days ago. He is preferred ahead of STORMYGO (3), who was a decent second over the course and distance in a Class 3 handicap in early August on his last start. - KASSEL ALLEN – Two unplaced runs over jumps recently, the latter over 4400m in a Listed chase at Auteuil on May 17th. Flat debut and a 3-time winner over jumps. One to consider each way
Summary: MINNATA (6) ran a good race when second at Les Sables in early August in a conditions race. He is marginally preferred ahead of ROSIMIX (8), who was a tad below par last time, but is better judged on her penultimate start when second at Le Mans in early May. GOT HAWK (3) has been lightly raced, with only two runs in his life, both on the PSF at Deauville. His second in January 2024, when last seen, was promising. If he is fit to go, he can be a live threat. HILODELAFONTAINE (4) heads the rest.

- CELTIC JABAAR – Several unplaced runs of late, 6th at Ploermel in a Class 4 chase over 4000m on August 30th when last seen. Look elsewhere
Summary: JUST FOR WIN (1) has to deal with top-weight, but has been racing in stronger company recently. His third in a Class 2 hurdle at Auteuil two runs back was encouraging. He can get off the mark. NIL DE BALLON (6) could be the main danger. He ran a solid race when third over fences in a Class 4 race 15 days ago at Clairefontaine and can build on that. He is given the nod ahead of KELLY ANN SAGA (6), who was fifth in a Class 3 hurdle at Dieppe 20 days ago, which came after a debut win at Saint-Malo on August 1st. Summary: LHOMMAIZE (1) looks like the one to beat after two wins recently. His most recent over course and distance by 3.5L in early August. A hat-trick of wins is on the cards. LA TORNADE (2) won twice on the flat in August and ran over hurdles 19 days ago. C1 – PRIX DE GLANVILLE – 2450m (a1m1/2) – Class E – Mounted – EUR € 21,000
- MADEMOISELLE BOND – Has not been seen out since being eliminated on debut in a Class F cover course and distance 3 months ago and is going to need the run
- MAHIAHIASTART – Should not be too hastily-judged for being eliminated in a 2650m harness Class G at Les Sables-d’Olonne mid-July. Debuts fresh under the saddle and is not to be underestimated
- MISS BELLA DE JUCE – Eliminated in a 2750m Cabourg Class F on debut in early-August and will have nothing to contribute
- MONEY WINNER AS – Unplaced in a 2800m Argentan harness Class F last March. Has not been seen since and can be ruled out
- MARCIANA JEEP – Sanctioned in both starts since the spring spell, latterly a 2300m Class E at Trie-sur-Baise a fortnight ago. Debuts under the saddle for new trainer and is expected to show another side
- MASTERCLASS – 7th of 8 in a 2700m Vincennes Class C 2.5 weeks ago. Takes a notable dip in category but still looks an outsider
- MAYO DES FLOTS – Eliminated in 3 of 4 monte starts, most recently a 2750m Cabourg Class E on 22 August. Adrien Lamy in the irons this time and can pick up some prizemoney provided he keeps her focused
- MA ROBERTA – Eliminated in a Class E over course and distance earlier this month. Luka Ott aboard this time but still not an obvious choice
- MADONE ROCHEL – Back under the saddle after finishing 6th of 7 finishers in a 2850m Class F at Bagnoles-de-l’Orne 3 weeks ago, and in this category will struggle to make her presence felt
- MISS TAVEL – 4th of 15 in a 2200m Lannemezan harness Class F 3.5 weeks ago and makes her monte debut with limited prospects
- MARGOT PIERJI – 4th of 14 in a 2775m harness Class F at Les Sables-d’Olonne 8 days ago. Alexiane Lepage aboard for ridden bow and is unlikely to disappoint
- MELBA DES VAUX – 2nd of 9 finishers in a Class E over course and distance earlier in the month, her first public appearance in the code, and looks thoroughly capable of imposing this time
- MY LADY HERMA – 2nd of 9 finishers behind MELBA DES VAUX (12) in a Class E over course and distance earlier in the month, and looks the main threat
- MARGOT DU HOULET – In the frame in 2 before running last of 8 in a 2200m Strasbourg harness Class E on 28 August. Is new to the code but should nevertheless acquit herself respectably, however she cannot be considered a priority
- MIMI D’AUVILLIER – 4th of 7 finishers in a 2750m Cabourg Class E a month back. Produced her best time that day and in similar form can challenge for a place in the frame
- MY LOVELY EBONY – Eliminated in last 3, most recently a 2800m Bernay harness Class E 3 weeks ago, but has nonetheless shown decent aptitude when focused and makes her ridden bow with a realistic chance of finishing close
Summary: Beaten only by a very good horse on her recent monte bow, MELBA DES VAUX (12) will be partnered by Mathieu Mottier and could well get off the mark this time. 4th that day, MY LADY HERMA (13) is clearly on the way up and can go closer. Undeniably capable but decidedly complicated, MY LOVELY EBONY (16) enjoys a good entry and debuts in the discipline with a potentially good hand to play. MIMI D’AUVILLIER (15) has so far held her own in the code and should generate more interest than she did at Cabourg.

- MERRY DES VAUX – Got off the mark at Berck-sur-Mer prior to finishing 8th of 10 in a 2600m Class F at Le Touquet 3 weeks ago and is not about to create an upset
- MADISON KAT – Eliminated in last 2, latterly a 2600m Class F at Le Touquet 3 weeks ago. Has shown serious potential and Thomas Levesque will be keen to prove the point
- MASSALIA DU BOURG – Eliminated in 4 of last 5, most recently a 2750m Ecommoy Class E last Sunday, and backs up with limited prospects
- MOOVIESTAR SOMOLLI – Pleasant 2nd at Francheville but showed the limit of her capacity when 8th of 9 in a 2700m Vincennes Class D 3.5 weeks ago and will have nothing to contribute
- MANILLE SOMOLLI – Produced a good performance to run 3rd of 11 in a 2625m Cherbourg Class E on 17 July. Comes here fresh and will be dangerous if she turns
- MARQUISE DES ARRIS – Eliminated when pulling hard in a 2100m Vincennes Class E a fortnight ago. Form is not in question though and returning to racing clockwise may be just the ticket. Claim
- MISS COCO – Sprang quite the surprise when successful in a 2400m Granville Class F on 24 August. Takes on a better bunch this time and will struggle to repeat
- MAMZELLE DREAM – Unremarkable 5th of 8 finishers in a 2725m Pornichet Class E late last month and is clearly taking on too much
- MONALISA CELO – Beat MARQUISE DES ARRIS (7) at Cabourg prior to being eliminated in a 2850m Brehal Class D a month back. On good behaviour, can make amends. Attention
- MASSILIA D’ALESA – Made the frame in 3 of 4 starts to date, lastly 3rd of 12 in a 2800m Bernay Class E 3 weeks ago. Climbs the class-ladder here but is eminently up to the task. Chance
- MAMOON – Produced career-best performance when 2nd of 8 in a 2750m Class E at La Capelle earlier in the month but is being aimed too high this time
- MISS LADY DU DAN – Unplaced in 2 since getting off the mark at Graignes in June, latterly 6th of 11 in a 2850m Laval Class E 3 weeks ago, but it is only a question of time before she gets back in the game
- MAMACITA – Made the frame in 3 of last 4, most recently 2nd of 5 finishers in a 2800m Chartres Class E 8 days ago. Entrusted to Adrien Lamy this time and is still very much in the picture
Summary: Difficult to knock when focused, MARQUISE DES ARRIS (7) has shown significant promise and can win this if Mathieu Mottier manages to keep her trotting. He will still want to be wary of the improving MASSILIA D’ALESA (11) who will be no easy touch if she takes to the Caen profile, and MANILLE SOMOLLI (6) who has been thoroughly professional to date. MADAME D’ERABLE (1) redeemed herself at Dozule and on good behaviour will be competitive for a step on the podium.

- MOONLIGHT DJOC – Respectable 5th of 10 in a 2800m Chartres Class E on 12 September. Is no star but should nevertheless acquit himself honourably
- MANOUCHE – Unraced since running 2nd of 10 in a 2850m Laval Class E last April and will need the outing
- MATADOR DU PALAIS – Got off the mark at Les Sables-d’Olonne before losing his action in a 2750m Ecommoy Class E last Sunday. Has no shortage of ability and with stride in check can figure prominently
- MANHATTAN CERA – Has done nothing but improve since his July debut, latterly securing a 2750m Ecommoy Class F 3 weeks ago. Is unlikely to repeat but will not be far off the mark
- MYSTIC PARKER – Lost his maiden tag in a 2700m Graignes monte class F on 23 August. Here for reasons of conditioning and can be passed over
- MONEY DU CORTA – Made short of work of a 2700m Graignes Class F a fortnight ago. Races clockwise for the first time but is a category above most here and can repeat
- MILLION DREAMS – Placed twice before finishing last but one in a 2800m Bernay Class E 3 weeks ago. Would be preferred a level down
- MALICIEUX SAMCOF – Superb winner of a 2150m Vichy Class F a week ago. Steps marginally up in category but with form maintained could pleasantly surprise
- MANFREDO – In the frame in last 2, most recently 3rd of 10 in a Class E over course and distance earlier this month, and is easy to like for a place in the frame
- MAJOR DU MAINE – Oddly below-par 9th of 14 in a 2050m Cabourg Class E a month back. Has had time to recalibrate and cannot be ruled out
- MYTHE D’ERABLE – Eliminated early in a 2800m Vire Class E early this month. Has otherwise been in fine condition and can be confidently brought back into the fold. Chance
Summary: Easy winner on his return to competition following an 11-months’ hiatus, MONEY DU CORTA (8) is very easy to like for the double. Leading the opposition, MYTHE D’ERABLE (13) benefits from a terrific entry and will have a lot to contribute if he gets off on the right foot. MANFREDO (11) has been close to his race for some time and can be counted on for another competitive run. MATADOR DU PALAIS (5) will have a part to play provided Hugo Marie keeps him focused.

C4 – PRIX VICTOR HUNGER – 2450m (a1m1/2) – Class F – Mounted – EUR € 18,500 - LOVER BOY – Never dangerous last of 5 in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class E on 11 September and will have few friends
- LEGEND DREAM – Disqualified in a 2550m Gournay-en-Bray Class F a fortnight ago. Has been reconfigured for the occasion, with Adrien Lamy in the saddle, but still looks an outsider
- LEOPOLD DU BANNEY – Showed improvement when 5th of 9 finishers behind LOVELY ONE (16) in a Class F over course and distance earlier in the month and with shoes back on is unlikely to repeat
- LOVE DE BEAULIEU – Eliminated in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class E 9 days ago. Has looked ordinary for some time and even with shoes off will have too much to do
- LEROCKY DES APRES – Useful type that finished last but one on re-entry in a 2750m Ecommoy Class E last Sunday. Goes barefoot for the first time and should not be too far from the action
- LATINO ELDE – Was on course for victory when faulting in a 2850m Class H at Bagnoles-de-l’Orne 3 weeks ago, and can again figure prominently if he stays in stride
- LITTLE DREAM – Debuts in the discipline after running 4th of 14 in a 2400m Class F at Nort-sur-Erdre 2 weeks back. Has demonstrated decent aptitude in the harness code and looks competitively well in
- LUIGI KALOUMA – 5th of 9 finishers in a 2775m Class F at Les Sables-d’Olonne on 12 September. Is not a priority but still has the wherewithal to get a look in
- L’ULTIME D’AXEL – Ran 2nd at Le Mont-Saint-Michel before coming 5th of 13 in a 2775m Class F at Les Sables-d’Olonne 8 days ago. Barefoot this time though and should be good enough to make first 5
- LE COQUIN – Returns to racing barefoot after finishing last of 8 in a 2700m Graignes Class F 3 weeks ago, and even racing barefoot is not about to create an upset
- LAVATER GEDE – Got off the mark in early-August but disappointing in 2 since, most recently eliminated in a 2525m harness Class F at Les Andelys last weekend, and returns to the code with modest ambition
- LUMIO FALL – Eliminated in last 2, latterly a 2750m Ecommoy Class E last weekend, and must get his house in order
- LORD TRAPASSOU – Totally out of the picture since the spring, latterly eliminated in a 2925m Cagnes harness Class F on 23 July, and debuts under the saddle with little to offer
- LOTUS DU RIB – Going well before losing his action in a 2750m Cabourg Class F on 8 July. Finally gets to race on level terms and with application can trot his way into the winners’ enclosure
- LASCO DE L’ITON – Surprise 4th of 12 in a 2625m Cherbourg Class E a month back. Reverts to a previous formula, has placed under these conditions, and could finally lose his maiden tag
- LOVELY ONE – 3rd of 9 finishers, on monte bow, in a Class F under these conditions on 4 September. Will have come on for the run and must be taken more seriously this time
- LABUAN BAJO – 5th of 8 in a 2575m Reims harness claimer 3 weeks ago. Acquits himself honourably for the most part but still has too much to do
- LE PRINCE DU RIS – Eliminated in a Class F over course and distance on 4 September. Has been a write-off this term and has no possible chance
Summary: Very much an open affair this, but it is still easy to like a reconfigured LASCO DE L’ITON (15) who held his own in good company last month, and the tricky but useful LOTUS DU RIB (14) who has been competitively-shod for the first time. Not without his own issues, LATINO ELDE (6) could nevertheless have imposed late last month had he stayed focused. LOVELY ONE (16) debuted nicely under the saddle here in early-September and will not be available at 22/1 this time.

C5 – PRIX D’ANNEBECQ – 2450m (a1m1/2) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 21,000 - LA BELLE MARJACK – Trounced in last 2, most recently 9th of 10 in a 2900m Clairefontaine Class F 2 months ago, and even though fresh, will first need to re-establish her credentials
- LAMYA DES LANDES – Makes Caen debut after finishing 8th of 11 in a 2800m Bernay Class E 3 weeks ago and has no possible chance
- LILI DE POMMERAYE – Made up for a pair of eliminations when 4th of 15 in a 2700m Graignes Class F 2 weeks ago. On front row this time and with application can again finish in the mix
- LAURE DE LORIOL – Last of 14 when preparing for this in a 2800m Bernay Class E late last month and in this company will have too much to do
- LARISSE D’ECHAL – Showed improvement when 4th of 12 in a 2950m Vichy Class F a fortnight ago. Is well in on the front line and with Adrien Lamy in the bike will be afforded every chance
- LEGENDE DRY – Shod to preference after being eliminated in a 2725m Lisieux Class E a week ago. Breaks from the front line and on good behaviour can play a leading role
- LUMIERE BLUE – Consistent sort that ran 4th of 14 in a 2750m Ecommoy Class F last weekend. Enjoys a superb entry on front line and has a decent chance of making first 5
- LITTLE DU RIB – Returns to a track she appreciates but will need to improve on latest last of 6 finishers in a 2675m Class E at Le Mont-Saint-Michel 2 weeks ago
- LOVELY TO SEE YOU – Sprang a 30/1 surprise when imposing over track and trip earlier in the month. Is similarly shod and must be taken more seriously this time
- LUCRECE HAUFOR – Starts for the first time since running 3rd of 12 in a 2700m Vincennes Class D last February and will need the race
- LYRIDE ORLOVE – Drops back to a more reasonable level after running 9th of 11 in a 2750m Class B at Les Sables-d’Olonne on 4 September. On 2nd row this time and unlikely to spring any surprises
- LOU D’ECROVILLE – Failed to confirm Cabourg performance when 7th of 12 finishers in a 2750m Ecommoy Class E late last month and represents no more than a minor place prospect
- LUNA HAUFOR – Excellent filly making first appearance since faulting in a 2700m Vincennes Class B last February and best to hold off
- LARA MAKS – Makes first appearance since winning a 2750m Cabourg Class E on 22 July. Has freshness on her side, is confirmed here, and is not about to let the side down
- LETTRE D’ERABLE – Came close to confirming Carentan victory when 2nd of 16 in a 2800m Vire Class E on 1 September, and should prove the one to beat this time
Summary: Like a horse reborn since July, LETTRE D’ERABLE (15) benefits from a terrific entry here and a repeat of her Vire performance would see her impose this time. LOVELY TO SEE YOU (9) returned to victorious ways earlier in the month when securing a Class E over course and distance ; she incurs the penalty but can still bring the fight to the Thomain’s horse. LEGENDE DRY (6) is difficult to knock when unshod-behind and focused and, 25m better off, must be considered a player. Sent for a brief spell after prevailing at Cabourg, LARA MAKS (14) is barefoot for her re-entry and will be no pushover.

- KIBELLE DE VIETTE – 9th of 16 in a 2650m Alencon Class F earlier in the month. Has done nothing noteworthy for some time and is not going to start now
- KALISTA D’AVRIL – Put a string of eliminations behind her to win a 2650m Vertou Class F early this month, however others still easier to trust
- KAMYNA DE GUEGUE – 13th of 15 in a 2800m Rambouillet harness class F a fortnight ago. Pleased last time under the saddle but is biting off more than she can chew
- KENTIA DES RIOULTS – 3rd of 10, a place behind KELLY D’ACADIE (6), in a 2750m Cabourg Class F late last month. Will not be available at 58-1 this time but will not be as competitive either
- KELLY D’ACADIE – Imposed at Saint-Malo before coming 2nd of 10 in a 2750m Cabourg Class F 3.5 weeks ago. Is clearly at her best and even though yet to deliver at Caen, she is very hard to ignore
- KISS SYMPHONY – Unable to confirm fabulous Mauquenchy victory when eliminated in a 2400m Amiens Class E a fortnight back. Front shoes off this time and with application can make a big impact
- KANAILLE DU LUPIN – 2nd of 12 in a 2775m Class F at Les Sables-d’Olonne early last month. Will be better served by racing clockwise and can challenge for the win this time
- KIRA DE CHARENCEY – Last of 11 when preparing for this in a 2725m Lisieux harness Class E a week ago. Runner-up in 2 of 3 here and will again be competitive for a place in the picture
- KOM KHALEESI – 2nd of 7 finishers in a 2900m Dozule Class F a month ago. Has been alternating nicely between the 2 codes but represents no more than a minor place chance this time
- KISSME COOL D’EB – 3rd of 10 finishers to KALISTA D’AVRIL (3) in a 2650m Vertou Class F early this month. Is back to racing unshod-behind and has a reasonable chance of picking up some prizemoney
- KEILA TREMBLADAISE – Fine 3rd of 10 in a 2750m Cabourg Class F in mid-August. Won over course and distance last season and looks a player
- KAROLYNE DE MALAC – 5th of 9 in a 2175m Vincennes Class E 2 weeks ago. Faces a less-exalted lot this time and considering the superb entry can bring home the bacon
Summary: Fifth over the Vincennes main track on the first start for her new trainer, KAROLYNE DE MALAC (13) has previously shown potential in the monte discipline and drops down the category-ladder with every chance of opening her monte tally. Lilian Bertin will still be keeping a keen eye on the spirited, but barefoot, KANAILLE DU LUPIN (8) who gave a reassuringly good account of herself last time out, and the Caen-loving KIRA DE CHARENCEY (9) who is barefoot following her harness prep. KEILA TREMBLADAISE (12) is clearly close to her race and Adrien Lamy has stayed faithful.

- LIZAO DU GUESCLIN – Eliminated in 2 after getting off the mark, latterly a 2775m Class F at Les Sables-d’Olonne 8 days ago, but given the opportunity can finish in the mix
- LACERTOSUS – Eliminated in a 2725m Lisieux Class E after having produced a fine performance in race of reference and on better behaviour can play a leading role
- LE TANGO DU RENARD – Lost his action in a 2750m Class E at Cabourg on 12 August. Gave an excellent account thereafter and with application will be no easy touch
- LORIQUET – Won 3 from 4 prior to running 6th of 12 in a 3125m Granville Class F 2 months ago. Is barefoot for re-entry but in this category is unlikely to influence the result
- LAUREL LA RAVELLE – Makes first appearance since running 3rd of 8 in a 2725m Pornichet Class D 12 months ago and best to hold off
- LANCIER DE REANA – Capable type but has not been seen out since running 6th of 15 in a Class E over course and distance last March and is going to need the race
- LET’S GO VAL – 3rd of 13 in a 2100m Vincennes Class E 2 weeks ago, but shoes fitted this time and can be passed over
- LOVELY TRIP – Looked decidedly ordinary when 7th of 14 behind LEONARD DE VINCI (13) in a 2800m Vire Class E on 1 September and is not about to shake things up
- LUCKY JOSSELYN – 6th of 11 finishers in a 2750m Class B at Les Sables-d’Olonne on 4 September. Races first-time barefoot and can play a part if he replicates his penultimate performance
- LOOK PEJI – Made up for Argentan blip when 3rd of 14, a place behind LEONARD DE VINCI (13), in a 2800m Vire Class E on 1 September, and again looks the principal danger
- LEONARD DE VINCI – Close 2nd of 14 in a 2800m Vire Class E on 1 September. Is plainly back at his best and looks the pick of the field
- LEWIS D’ALEXIANE – Good, consistent type that ran 4th of 16 in a 2750m Ecommoy Class E 3 weeks ago. Benefits from a good entry, is shod as he was at Meslay, and is unlikely to be heading home empty-handed
Summary: Given a prep in Cabourg paid dividends at Vire for the nicely-entered LEONARD DE VINCI (13) and, barefoot as he was when victorious at Le Mont-Saint-Michel, looks the horse to beat. He will still face resistance again from LOOK PEJI (12) who finished a place behind him that day, and the in-form LACERTOSUS (4) who was disqualified for interference, but who breaks from the front row. LE TANGO DU RENARD (5) left no doubt about his condition after being eliminated last time out and makes his Caen debut with a lot to contribute.

- IRIS DES MAUPI – 7th of 9 in a 2800m Moulins Class F last Sunday. Barefoot this time but still not easy to make a case
- ISA TILLAYE – Encouraged at Vertou before being eliminated in a 2800m Villedieu-les-Poëles Class F last weekend, and even though reconfigured still has a lot more to find
- IBANA DE MONTI – Eliminated in a 2525m amateurs Class F at Les Andelys 3 weeks ago and under these conditions can be confidently disregarded
- IMPERATOR VRIE – Last but one in a 2800m Compiegne monte Class F on 7 September and will have other ambitions
- INTOUCHABLE AR – Returns to the professional ranks after running solid 2nd of 10 in a 2850m Class F at Meslay-du-Maine 10 days ago. Unlikely to get his nose in front but sports 4 pads this time and can pick up some prizemoney
- INDIENNE DE VAL – Surprisingly eliminated in a 3100m Chinon Class F mid-August, but with a top driver in the bike will be no soft touch
- IT’S THE KING – Should not be hastily-judged for finishing last but one behind IMMIX PONT VAUTIER (10) in a 2700m Graignes Class F on 6 September. Has otherwise been in good shape and a first-5 spot is well within his reach
- ISIS DU CORTA – Unremarkable 10th of 16 in a 2800m Compiegne Class F a fortnight ago. Has produced some decent runs this summer and although not a contender can still get a look in
- IMMIX PONT VAUTIER – Failed to secure the hat-trick when 6th of 12 in a 2700m Graignes Class F on 6 September. Thrives with the day’s driver though who will be determined to set the record straight
- ICE HAUFOR – Unable to confirm Pornichet triumph when 7th of 15 in a 2100m Vincennes Class D 8 days ago. Is plainly in shape though and in this category must be taken more seriously
- IROISE QUESNOT – 3rd of 8 in an 1800m Class E at La Capelle 2.5 weeks ago. Has done nothing but improve lately, goes barefoot for the occasion, and even from the 2nd line could well spice things up
- IRENO DES PLAINES – Returns to racing clockwise after finishing 10th of 13 in a 2650m Laval Class E a fortnight ago. Is the richest horse here, has never disappointed when barefoot at Caen, and with David Thomain in the bike must be afforded respect
Summary: Nicely-entered on the front line and entrusted to Francois Lagadeuc, who has never failed to deliver with him, IMMIX PONT VAUTIER (10) will be expected to bounce back from his Graignes blip and win this. INDIENNE DE VAL (7) will be partnered by Mathieu Mottier for the first time and has a lot to offer, as does the erratic but useful IRENO DES PLAINES (13) who is just 685 Euros from elimination. ICE HAUFOR (11) also starts on the back row and even though shod as she was in Paris, can nevertheless finish close.

- MILTON BROWN – Unbeaten in two starts, the latest in a class D mounted race over this track and trip on 30 June. Can complete the treble
- MALICIA – Showed improvement and was a winner in a class E mounted race at Cabourg over 2750m on 22 August. Can double up
Summary: MILTON BROWN (14) has won both his starts, the latest over this track and trip, and he has every chance of remaining unbeaten and completing his hat-trick. MACKER D’ERONVILLE (13) has improved markedly of late and impressed with some good wins under the saddle, so will not go down easily. MELODIE DE FAEL (8) is not reliable but has shown some talent and could be a threat. MALICIA (15) was a winner the only time she tried a mounted race and must be respected for that.

Summary: A very tricky lucky last race. JAGUAR MARANCOURT (1) is not easy to trust but does look the class animal of the race and can bounce back to beat these rivals. GATSBY WIC (5) has run well over this course and distance before and should be a real threat barefoot this time. HALTESS GRIFF (4) is very consistent and is likely to be competitive once again. FERIA DU METZ (7) drops in distance but would not be a surprise winner.
