R1 VINCENNES [L-H]
C1 – PRIX ZOSMA – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class C – Harness – EUR € 53,000
- KATIM DU GOUTIER – Well-beaten 5th of 9 in a 2700m monte Class C here 10 days ago. Has been showing his harness form on the Riviera but is being aimed too high this time
- KIKI AND CO – Eliminated in a 2700m harness Class B here 10 days ago. Is preparing for a campaign in the other code and can be ruled out
- KOALA BLUE – 8th of 10 finishers in a 2700m Class B here 10 days ago. Alexandre Abrivard in the bike this time but others still preferred
- KAZACHOK – Winner at Cabourg before coming 2nd of 14 in a 2700m Class C here on 19 September. Enjoys a good spot behind the car and Mathieu Mottier will be eager to take advantage
- KAZY MERITE – 5th of 16 in a 2725m Lisieux Class B a month back. Has never excelled at Vincennes though and can be passed over
- KHARNAS – Won a brace in the provinces before running 6th of 9 finishers in a 2875m Enghien Class B on 29 September, and already looks out of his depth
- KING GEORGES – Eliminated in a 2700m Class B here 10 days ago. Is competitively-shod this time but would have better prospects at a lower level
- KELLY JANE – 12th of 14 finishers when preparing for this in a 2800m Rambouillet Class B on 5 October. Barefoot this time but still faces a stern challenge
- KUEEN’S PRIDE – Failed to make it 6 on the trot when disqualified in a 2800m Class B at Le Croise-Laroche in mid-September. Is as capable racing left-handed as right- and will be expected to return to winning ways
- EMPIRE AS – Back under harness after running 3rd of 8 in a 2700m monte Class C a month ago. Is patently in excellent shape and unlikely to let the side down
- ELEONORA GRIF – Like a horse reborn since coming to France and even though unraced since running 2nd of 15 in a 2150m Enghien Class C in July, will be barefoot for re-entry and will be one to monitor
- ETRANGER JOYEUSE – Returns to a track he adores after running 3rd of 14 over 2060m in Turin on 29 September. Unbeaten in 3 Vincennes starts, twice over course and distance, races barefoot, and will justifiably garner support
- KALINKA DU GRENAT – Won over track and trip in late-August but disappointing in 2 since, most recently 6th of 15 in a 2850m Class C here 2 weeks ago, and is unlikely to spring any surprises
- KER POULGWEN – 3rd of 15 in a 2800m Chartres Class B last week. Is reunited with Benoît Robin who has won 5 times with him, is barefoot for the occasion, and cannot be ruled out
- ENAOZ – 2nd of 16 to KILGORE (16) a Class D over course and distance late last month. Tricky sort but has never disappointed under these conditions and despite the draw should not be underestimated
- KILGORE – Opened Vincennes account at first time of asking, winning a Class D over course and distance with authority late last month. Pulled a poor number but will not be available at 53-1 this time. Chance
Summary: A fine campaigner with an enviable strike-rate, KUEEN’S PRIDE (9) was disqualified last time out, and has never raced at Vincennes, but Theo Duvaldestin will be minded to put things right. Winner on his first start for Christophe Martens, KILGORE (16) has pulled a tough number but the nature of his victory bodes well for his prospects. KAZACHOK (4) enjoys a better spot in front and, clearly at the top of his game, will be no easy touch. Winner over track and trip on his penultimate outing, EMPIRE AS (10) races barefoot and will not go down easily.

C2 – PRIX PIERRE VAN TROYEN – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Gr3 – Harness – EUR € 80,000 - LIBERTE DE CHOISEL – Classy filly making first appearance since winning a Gr.2 over course and distance in early-June. Stays shod for re-entry but is not incapable of getting a look in
- LORD DU GERS – Beat Lancier Du Goutier in Gr.2 Prix Gaston Brunet before being eliminated after interference in 2850m Gr.1 Criterium des 4 Ans on 13 September. Is clearly at the top of his game and can set the record straight
- LIVE TO TELL – 7th of 18 in 2850m Gr.1 Criterium des 4 Ans on 13 September. Has otherwise been excelling and will have a claim on the spoils
- LITTLE BROWN – Lost his action early in 2850m Gr.1 Criterium des 4 Ans on 13 September. Has not been the most performant over recent months and will need to show improvement
- LUCKY JACKSON – Eliminated in last 3, most recently a 2175m monte Gr.1 on 28 September. Is clearly better under the saddle and can be passed over
- KOBAYASHI – Ran 3rd to KARAMBAR (9) before losing his action in a monte Gr.2 over course and distance 2 weeks ago. Form is not in question though and on good behaviour can finish close
- KAVIARISSIME – Good 4th of 14 to KARAMBAR (9) in a Class B over course and distance late last month. Mixes the good with the less good but is confirmed at this level and can play a small part
- L’ECRIN D’OR – Lost his action in a 2175m monte Gr.1 here on 28 September. Has harness form but not at this level
- KARAMBAR – Made it 2 in a row when comfortably winning a Class B over course and distance late last month. Boasts a 60 percent win-rate over 2700m here and looks primed to improve on that
- KAMEHAMEHA – 5th of 13 in 2850m Gr.1 Criterium des 5 Ans here on 13 September. Is not a priority but with form maintained can pick up a cheque
- KID BELLAY – 11th of 16 in a 3125m Angers Gr.3 on 1 October. Enjoys a wonderful entry and will be reined by Eric Raffin, but will have other ambitions
Summary: Twice a winner last month, most recently over course and distance, KARAMBAR (9) steps back up in category and looks thoroughly capable of securing the hat-trick. It won’t be all plain sailing though given the presence of LORD DU GERS (2) who won a Gr.2 under these conditions before his Gr.1 Critérium des 4 Ans elimination. 7th that day, LIVE TO TELL (3) has nothing to prove at this level and will also have his chances. KOBAYASHI (6) is never one to be underestimated and will be barefoot for his return to the discipline.

C3 – PRIX JUNO – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 59,000 - IGGY POP DE CHENU – 3rd of 12 in a 2850m Lyon-Parilly Class C on 9 October. Has been plying his trade in good order recently and a place in first 5 is well within his capacity
- IDEAL DE CASTELLE – Unbeaten in 2 since returning from his spell, latterly a 2850m Class D here a week ago. Hind shoes back on but with Eric Raffin in the bike must be considered a leading contender
- IN EN VRIE – Encouraged at La Capelle in late-august before being eliminated in a 2700m Class D here 3 weeks ago, and will have nothing to contribute
- IQUITO PLANCHETTE – Eliminated in a 2700m Class D here on 3 October. Disappointing on the whole lately and can be passed over
- IMAGE D’ATALANTE – Beat a number of these at Laval in early-September before running 6th of 16 in a 2850m Class D at the same venue 3 weeks ago. With Franck Nivard back in the bike can make a big impact
- GROUPIE DU QUENNE – Last but one behind IXELLE BLEUE (9) in a 2400m Amiens Class D early last month. Has been off the boil for some time and is unlikely to make any impression
- INSTINCTIF – 10th of 16 when being conditioned in a 2825m Chartres Class E last week. Races barefoot this time, has decent references over course and distance, and must not be overlooked
- INES DE LA ROUVRE – Won 2 of 3 before finishing 11th of 13 in a 2725m Pornichet Class E on 20 September. Should not be too quickly condemned though and can be brought back into the fold
- IXELLE BLEUE – 3rd of 16 in a 2750m Cabourg Class E 3 weeks ago. Has yet to deliver under these conditions but is plainly on the way up and must be considered a player
- HAROLD SAUTONNE – Pleasantly surprising 4th of 13 in a Class E under these conditions on 21 September. Tristan Ouvrie reining this time and cannot be considered a priority
- IQUEM – Eliminated in 3 of last 4, most recently a 2850m Laval Class D 3 weeks ago, and can expect to have few friends
- IMPERIALE DU MONT – 7th of 18 on re-entry in a 2700m Segre Class F just over a month back. Is otherwise highly consistent but in this company will struggle to make her mark
- HERAKLION DESBOIS – Put in quite the finish to run 7th of 16, a place behind IMAGE D’ATALANTE (5), in a 2850m Laval Class D 3 weeks ago. Has little chance of imposing but with form maintained can play an active role
- GITANO JACK – Lost his action in a 2850m Laval Class D 3 weeks ago and even with hind shoes off has no possible chance
- IKYTA DE LA VALLEE – Lost her action in a 2700m monte Class D here a month ago. Is not without ability but would be preferred barefoot
- IRRESISTIBLE PAJ – Returns to Vincennes after smartly winning a 2825m Durtal Class F 12 days ago. Is quite clearly at the top of his game and will be dangerous if Paul Ploquin successfully navigates the start
Summary: A winner of 3 on the trot and very much at home here, IDEAL DE CASTELLE (2) is less competitively-shod this time but is still easy to like for the 4-timer. Eric Raffin will want to be wary though of the less favourably-drawn, but in-form, IRRESISTIBLE PAJ (16), and the well-positioned IMAGE D’ATALANTE (5) who is better than her latest performance would suggest. IXELLE BLEUE (9) has done nothing but improve lately and, reconfigured with Yoann Lebourgeois reining, is easy to recommend.

C4 – PRIX ORIONIS – 2850m (a2m) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 59,000 - INCISIF VAUCEEN – 3rd of 18 in a 2950m Saint-Malo Class F late last month. Has won 2 of 3 with Benjamin Rochard and from the front row can challenge for a place in the picture
- HAPAX – In the frame in last 3, most recently 2nd of 14 in a 2850m Hyeres Class F a fortnight ago. David Thomain in the bike this time but still has more to find
- HUMOUR D’HAUFOR – 9th of 18 in a 2950m Saint-Malo Class F late last month and is unlikely to create an upset
- INTELLO D’ERABLE – 10th of 16 in a 2450m Caen Class D on 11 October. Yoann Lebourgeois at the helm this time, but still not a concern
- HORUS DE VAL – Won a 3125m Angers Class E from pillar to post early this month. On front line and will be competitive for a place on the podium
- HENRIQUE – Disqualified in a 2300m Class E at Marseille-Borely on 1 October. Is reconfigured, with Mathieu Mottier reining, but still not a priority
- ILLICO DE BOUTEAU – Quality element that ran 6th of 14 in a 2850m Lyon-Parilly Class E earlier in the month, but would be preferred a level down
- INHERIT – Would have finished closer than 5th of 13, a place behind INSTRUCTOR (12), in a 2150m Enghien Class D late last month, had he not encountered traffic problems, but Matthieu Abrivard will be keen to put things right
- IGRISONI – Respectable 5th of 16 in a 2450m Caen Class D a fortnight ago. Consistently gives his best and will not be far off the mark
- ISYBOY DE CINGLAIS – 4th of 11 to ILEO PIERJI (15) in a 2650m Cordemais Class D early this month. Barefoot with Jean-Michel Bazire in the bike this time and should logically take all the beating
- HERMES LUDOIS – Has not been seen out since finishing 9th of 11 in a 1609m Vichy Class D in July and will have nothing to offer
- INSTRUCTOR – 8th of 11 to ILEO PIERJI (15) in a 2650m Cordemais Class D on 5 October. Is considerably better than that, goes barefoot this time, and Alexandre Abrivard will be out to prove the point
- HAPPY DANOVER – Disappointing on the whole for some time, latterly 10th of 14 in a Class C over course and distance 2 weeks ago. Franck Nivard gets the nod but others still preferred
- INDIGO PIERJI – Disappointing in last 2, latterly 12th of 14 in a 2700m Class D here on 19 September. Goes barefoot this time and should not be ruled out
- ILEO PIERJI – Made up for Enghien elimination when victorious in a 2650m Cordemais Class D on 5 October. Incurs the penalty but Eric Raffin has stayed faithful and should not be underestimated
- GERSHWIN DE CHENU – Has not been seen out since running 3rd of 14 in a Class C over course and distance on New Year’s Day and is going to need the race
Summary: Beaten only by the excellent Insight Spoken under these conditions in August, ISYBOY DE CINGLAIS (10) goes barefoot for the occasion, is reunited with JMB, and should be able to wrap this up. INHERIT (8) put in an excellent effort at Enghien last time out and looks competitively well in. Winner of his last 2, 25m better off, and terrifically entered, HORUS DE VAL (5) is easy to recommend. Clearly in excellent shape, INCISIF VAUCEEN (1) will have his chances if Benjamin Rochard keeps him focused. ILEO PIERJI (15) won for Eric Raffin at Cordemais and even with pads fitted still warrants respect.

C5 – PRIX BELLONA – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class C – Harness – EUR € 46,000 - LOVELY DU VALLON – Eliminated in last 2, most recently a 2825m Lyon-Parilly Class B a fortnight ago. Capable on a good day but has no references over 2100m here and others easier to trust
- LAMONT DU DOUET – 2nd of 16, at 23-1, in a 2700m Class C here late last month. Nicely-placed on front row but a repeat seems most improbable
- LAGUNE PIYA – Unlucky 8th of 18 on comeback in a 2200m Caen Class D last Sunday. Benefits from an excellent spot in front and is unlikely to go home empty-handed this time
- LEWIS RIVER – Useful colt making first start since running 5th of 13 in a 2700m Gr.3 here last May and is going to need the race
- LE CASHMAKER – Quality element that was surprisingly eliminated in a 2800m Cordemais Class B on 5 October. Is patently in shape though and will be no soft touch if he stays in stride
- LOTUS GRIFF – Won over 2175m here on 5 September but unable to confirm when eliminated in a 2700m Class B here 8 days later. Comes here fresh and is sufficiently well-drawn to make a big splash
- FUNNY GIRL (ITY) – Failed to confirm fine Argentan performance when unluckily eliminated in a Class D under these conditions late last month. Breaks in front, is confirmed under these conditions, and can finish thereabouts
- KING LEGEND – Makes French debut just 12 days after winning over 2950m at home in Charlottenlund. Gets a top driver for the occasion and can get straight down to business
- LYNYRD SKYNYRD – Finished last but one after having briefly lost his action in a 2700m Class B here on 13 September. Has pulled a tough number but will be driven by JMB for the first time and must be respected
- FLAMENCO FER – Last but one over 3140m in Solvalla a fortnight back. Out of the picture in all 3 this term and can be disregarded
- FARAMIR AS – Surprisingly lacklustre last of 12 in a Class D over track and trip late last month. Has references under these conditions but others still easier to back
- NGANNOU – Starts for the first time since coming 3rd of 14, a place behind FUNNY GIRL (ITY) (7), in a 2150m Argentan Class D in early-August. Is shod as he was that day but may be a race shy
- FLY TOP – Quality Italian import starting for new trainer, not having raced since coming 2nd of 8 over 2140m in Solvalla in early-July. Eric Raffin’s services have been engaged and is unlikely to let the side down
- FORT WASHAKIE – Won in Cesena before running 4th of 11 over 1660m in Bologna a month back. Takes on a better lot this time though and is unlikely to shake things up
- OLYMPUS DRAGON – Won 4 on the trot before being pulled-up over 2140m in Jagersro early last month. Hind shoes off with Matthieu Abrivard in the bike, and despite the draw cannot be ruled out
- FORCE OF NATURE – Serious type that lost his action in a Class D over course and distance late last month. Is confirmed at Vincennes but the draw will do him no favours
Summary: Something of an open affair but it is still hard to ignore the talented Danish raider KING LEGEND (8) who despite being drawn wide is plainly in form, and will be barefoot and reined by Matthieu Mottier for his French bow. The complicated but talented LOTUS GRIFF (6) is better-placed behind the car and can win this if Alexandre Abrivard keeps him trotting. Starting just to his inner, LE CASHMAKER (5) should not be condemned for faulting at Cordemais and can be backed with confidence. Reliability may not be his strong suit but LYNYRD SKYNYRD (9) receives a JMB drive this time and should not be far from the action.

C6 – PRIX URANIE – 2175m (a1m1/4) – Gr2 – Harness – EUR € 120,000 - MOSTRA DE BANVILLE – Returned to winning ways last week in a 2825m Chartres Class B. Is no slouch when focused and with application can hold her own
- MARILOU – Unremarkable 6th of 18 in a 2725m Lisieux Class B a month back and is unlikely to generate much interest
- MAYA DU SURF – 2nd of 18 in a 2750m Craon Class B conditioner late last month. Has never disappointed over 2175m here and in present shape is easy to like for a place in the frame
- MIRISS DE GUEZ – Eliminated, on return to competition, in a 2825m Chartres Class B last week, and will not be troubling the judge
- MIDWAY LADY – 4th of 14 to MAGIC NIGHT (10) in 2700m Gr.1 Criterium des 3 Ans here on 13 September. Boasts a good record over the trip and while unlikely to impose can nevertheless pick up a first-5 cheque
- MELBA DU GERS – 10th of 15 to MOSTRA DE BANVILLE (1) in a 2825m Chartres Class B last week. Showed significant ability last winter and, if fully fit, can play a prominent part
- MADRID HAUFOR – Reassuring 5th of 14 to MAGIC NIGHT (10) in 2700m Gr.1 Criterium des 3 Ans here on 13 September, however a repeat seems rather unlikely
- MY PRINCESS – Complicated sort that failed to confirm late-September victory when eliminated in a 2450m Caen monte Gr.1 a fortnight ago. Ability is not in question and will have a part to play if she keeps trotting
- MORALITY – Ran 5th in Prix Annick Dreux before coming honourable 6th of 14 to MAGIC NIGHT (10) in 2700m Gr.1 Criterium des 3 Ans here on 13 September. Seems to be nearing her spring form and should not be written off
- MAGIC NIGHT – Won a 2700m Gr.2 her before being disqualified in Gr.1 Criterium des 3 Ans over course and distance on 13 September. Imposed last time under these conditions and can win this if kept out of trouble
- MILLE ETOILES – Strangely below-par 9th of 14 in 2700m Gr.1 Criterium des 3 Ans here on 13 September. Is significantly sharper than that, has 2175m form, and will be expected to give MAGIC NIGHT (10) a run for her money
Summary: Disqualified from 2nd place in the Gr.1 Criterium des 3 Ans, MAGIC NIGHT (10) has since been given ample time to freshen back up and Paul Ploquin will be determined to set the record straight. She will still be up against the Bazire pair of MILLE ETOILES (11), who should not be judged for her Criterium blip, and the promising MELBA DU GERS (6) who has 2 races under her belt. MAYA DU SURF (3) has a particular liking for the distance and will be reunited with Anthony Barrier.

C7 – PRIX VICTOR REGIS – 2175m (a1m1/4) – Gr2 – Harness – EUR € 120,000 - MAGICO DE LOU – Takes a notable step up in category after running 4th of 15 in a 2825m Chartres Class B last week and can be confidently ruled out
- MISTRAL CASTELLE – Below-par 5th of 8 finishers in a 2700m Graignes Class B 12 days ago. Takes on an exalted bunch here and chances appear slim
- MEMPHIS DE BRASSE – Back under harness after dominating the 2450m Gr.1 Saint-Leger des Trotteurs on monte debut 2 weeks ago. Is less performant under harness but still looks capable of picking up a minor place cheque
- MONZON NORMAND – Makes first appearance since being eliminated in 2875m Gr.3 Prix de Berlin in early-August. Is no slouch when focused, appreciates 2175m on the main track, and has every chance of picking up some prizemoney
- MAGNUM DU CHOQUEL – 3rd of 10 finishers to MACK DE BLARY (8) in 2700m Gr.1 Criterium des 3 Ans here on 13 September. Put in an excellent time that day and while unlikely to get his nose in front, must still be respected
- MAT MANATHIS – Produced a good Prix Abel Bassigny performance before finishing 8th of 10 finishers to MACK DE BLARY (8) in 2700m Gr.1 Criterium des 3 Ans here on 13 September. Has had time to recalibrate and can finish close this time
- MAITRE JACQUES – Critérium des Jeunes winner that faulted early, and subsequently eliminated, in Criterium des 3 Ans. Has never failed to deliver over 2175m here however and is not about to start now. Chance
- MACK DE BLARY – Winner of 2700m Gr.1 Criterium des 3 Ans here on 13 September, at the expense of the classy Magic Night. Is clearly up to the task and is easy to fancy for the double
Summary: After flying up in a valuable sales race, MACK DE BLARY (8) missed out by little in the Criterium des 3 Ans only to pick up the win in the stewards’ room, but is clearly the horse to beat. Already a Gr.1 winner, MAITRE JACQUES (7) lost his action early that day but will have his chances if Alexandre Abrivard keeps him focused. Excellent since the spring, MAT MANATHIS (6) failed to deliver on that occasion but Eric Raffin has stayed faithful and will be determined to put things right. MAGNUM DU CHOQUEL (5) sprang a 159-1 surprise in the Criterium and must be taken more seriously this time around.

- KRISTAL DE JANZE – Won 2 of last 3, most recently making short work of a 3000m Nantes Class F on 26 September. Is new to the venue but in current condition could well contest the finish
- KAPORAL DU PONT – 5th of 13 in a 2850m harness Class D here late last month. Makes first appearance in the discipline since July 2024, and races shod, but has been entrusted to Eric Raffin and must be considered a player
- KOLOSSE RHODES – 6th of 15 behind KHEOPS DORE (1) in a 2875m Enghien Class E on 29 September. Damien Bonne aboard this time but still no more than a minor place chance
- KENJI D’AUBERVILLE – Eliminated in last 2, latterly a 2750m Cabourg Class E mid-month, and can be confidently passed over
- KRUNCH DE L’ITON – Eliminated in a 2700m harness Class E at La Capelle a month ago. Is not as sharp as he was in the spring and chances appear limited
- KOKTAIL DE JANZE – Serious type making first appearance since running 4th of 11 in a 2275m Nantes Class E in early-June. Shoes on for re-entry and is unlikely to be given a hard race
- KADOR DELO – 3rd of 7 finishers in a 2750m Cabourg Class E on 15 October. Has been reconfigured for the occasion but presents no Vincennes references and others easier to back
- KENTUCKY DANICA – Won 4 of last 5, most recently a 2725m Pornichet Class F with ease on 25 August. Mathieu Mottier back in the irons and will be expecting to continue his productive ways. Claim
- KEROS DE BEAULIEU – Imposed in Lyon before running 4th of 15, a place behind KHEOPS DORE (1), in a 2875m Enghien Class E on 29 September. Unlikely to get his nose in front but can still finish in the mix
- KOMDAPI DIESCHOOT – Eliminated in a 2700m harness Class E here 2.5 weeks ago. Races barefoot for first time under the saddle and with application can go far
Summary: A wonderful servant that went into his spell on a high note, KENTUCKY DANICA (9) runs over the main track for just the 2nd time but has been reconfigured and can wrap this up he keeps his action together. KRISTAL DE JANZE (2) has being going from strength to strength though and will be no pushover if he takes to the new profile. Nicely-engaged at the limit of earnings, KOMDAPI DIESCHOOT (11) has no monte references but is plainly in form and deserves to take his chances. KHEOPS DORE (1) is never easy to handle but he ran well for Benjamin Rochard last month and must be taken seriously.

ISCO DE CORDAY (11) has been fair of late and is confirmed in this division, so should be a threat to these rivals. IRMA BABEL (8) has been in good form of late and would not be a surprise winner. Summary: RIDWAAN (1) was a decent second at Marseille Borely in a Class 3 handicap 11 days ago and can score despite having to concede weight all around. His chief threat could be WHAT A FAIR FOOT (12), who scored on the most recent of her runs at Le Lion D’angers in a Class 4 event.
