R1 VINCENNES [L-H]
C1 – PRIX DE SOULAC – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class C – Harness – EUR € 68,000
- UN MEC PAASLOO –
- COOL KRONOS – 3rd in a Class D over course and distance before finishing lacklustre 6th of 10 in a Class B under similar conditions a month back, and will have a lot more to find
- POWER DOC – Comfortable winner of a 2850m Class C here a fortnight ago. Has yet to be bested here and the nature if his latest victory augurs well for the Vincennes hat-trick
- HONEY KING – Last of 11 in a 2850m monte Class D here on 18 September. Stays shod and can be passed over
- HIGH PROPULSION – 12th of 15 finishers on comeback in a 2700m Segre Class D on 5 October. Barefoot again but still not a priority
- CANTO DEI VENTI – Drops in category after running 8th of 12 in a Class B over track and trip on 3 October. Is no slouch when focused but looks only a minor place prospect at best
- GEANT SARTHOIS – Ran 2nd on comeback but could manage only 9th of 16 behind IMPLORA MAUZUN (14) in a 2850m Feurs Gr.3 mid-month, and will need to find significantly more
- COLBERT WF – Unlucky here in September then denied a run in a Class B over course and distance on 3 October, coming 3rd of 12, and Eric Raffin will be keen to set the record straight. Chance
- HIMBERLAND – 3rd of 13, a place behind HOLLYWOOD DU BOIS (15), in a 2850m Class C here on 10 October. Has hardly put a foot out of line since late-spring and warrants considerable respect
- ENJOY THE GAME – Starts for first time since coming 3rd of 13 in a 2000m Class C at Les Sables-d’Olonne 2 months ago. Paul Ploquin in the bike this time but others still preferred
- IALTO D’HERTALS – Eliminated when being conditioned in a 2850m Class C here 3 weeks ago. Has form under these conditions, races barefoot this time, and can finish in the mix
- GADGET DU GADE – Unraced since being eliminated in a Marseille-Borely monte race last April. Here for reasons of conditioning and can be ruled out
- IACYNTHE DIDJEAP – Placed twice before coming 4th of 11 behind HOLLYWOOD DU BOIS (15) in a 2850m Class C here on 10 October. Could possibly have finished closer that day and Benjamin Rochard will be eager to prove the point
- IMPLORA MAUZUN – Won by a country mile on re-entry at Lyon-Parilly before running 3rd of 16 in a 2850m Feurs Gr.3 mid-month. Is well-entered here and can play a prominent role
- HOLLYWOOD DU BOIS – Made up for Lisieux disappointment when 2nd of 13 in a 2850m Class C here 3 weeks ago. Is barefoot with Mathieu Mottier reining again and must not be overlooked
Summary: Unbeaten in 2 Vincennes starts since moving south, POWER DOC (3) races over 2700m this time, but he has shown considerable versatility and may just be good enough to deny the talented COLBERT WF (8) who has not enjoyed the best of luck lately. A talented mare with an excellent entry here, IMPLORA MAUZUN (14) has been re-shod but still looks dangerous. IACYNTHE DIDJEAP (13) has been on a productive run of form and is better than his latest result would imply. HIMBERLAND (9) finished ahead of him here 3 weeks ago and in current condition is easy to like for a first-5 cheque.

C2 – PRIX DE FOUILLOY – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 35,000 - MAESTRIA DE PADD – Unraced since running 8th of 9 finishers in a 2750m Cabourg Class D on 19 August. Is new to Vincennes and cannot be regarded a player
- MAREVA – 6th of 16 in a 2100m Feurs Class D mid-month. Decently-drawn here but still unlikely to spring any surprises
- MELICIANA – Serious filly that ran 2nd of 16, on first start for 6 months, in a 2850m Laval Class E on 25 September. Is sure to have come on and can open her autumn account
- MIDNIGHT STAR – Returns to a hard surface after having lost her maiden tag in a 2650m Alencon Class F 11 days ago, but in this company will struggle to repeat
- MAGIC GIRL – 4th at Cabourg before running surprising 5th of 16 in a 2150m Enghien Class D 3 weeks ago. Will not be available at 111-1 this time but will not be as competitive either
- MINYA KONKA – Ran 3rd at Pornichet before repeating in a 2725m Cabourg Class E on 2 October. Alexandre Abrivard in the bike this time and should not be far off the mark
- MISS JENILOU – 7th of 14 in a 2150m Mauquenchy Class E on 11 September. Disappointing on the whole for some time and can be ruled out
- MALICE DE FRECA – 5th of 17, on return to competition, in a 2750m Craon Class B a month ago. Starts wide on front line but Eric Raffin takes over and will ensure her a competitive drive
- MILADY WIND – Disappointing in both since the break, most recently last but one behind MAGIC GIRL (5) in a 2150m Enghien Class D 3 weeks ago, and is not a concern
- MALAGA TURGOT – Ran 2nd at Laval prior to winning a 2000m Rambouillet Class F in early-August. Has had ample time to get back in shape and should be good enough to challenge for a place on the podium
- MALOLA DES RIOULTS – Made good on her promise when successful in a 2950m Le Mans Class G on 11 October. Faces a stiffer test this time but can nevertheless hold her own
- MILA CAAL – Ran 4th over the main track but failed to confirm when 9th of 16 behind MAGIC GIRL (5) in a 2150m Enghien Class D 3 weeks ago. Is plainly useful though and can pick up some prizemoney
- MOUNE VERDERIE – Eliminated early in a 2150m Enghien Class C on 6 October and appears to have nothing to contribute
- MAGIQUE HAUFOR – Lost her maiden status at Cholet before repeating in a 2825m Cordemais Class F on 5 October. Takes on a better lot here but still looks capable of opening her metropolitan account
- MONANZA CASTEL – In the frame in last 2, latterly 3rd of 12 in a 2825m Class F at Le Croise-Laroche in mid-September. Not ideally-drawn but is well-related and can finish in the mix
Summary: Promising early in the year, MELICIANA (3) gave a very good account on her recent Laval re-entry; she will have progressed for the run and can impose this time. Mathieu Mottier will still be wary of MAGIQUE HAUFOR (14) who makes her Vincennes bow on a hat–trick, and MINYA KONKA (6) who has been knocking at the door. MALAGA TURGOT (10) steps up in category after getting off the mark on turf but has bags of potential and is unlikely to let the side down.

C3 – PRIX D’AUBAGNE – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 40,000 - MIDNIGHT DE CUY – Last of 9 in a 2800m Vire claimer on 21 September and has no realistic chance
- MADISON SEVEN – 8th of 10 finishers in a 2700m Class A here earlier in the month. Has already won for his driver and should prove competitive for a place in the picture
- MOWGLY FRECA – Useful sort making first left-handed start after coming 2nd of 9 in a 2550m Reims Class D on 14 September, and can get in on the action if he turns
- MALIGNO – Good future prospect making first start since winning a 2450m Caen Class D on 16 June. Is unlikely to be given a hard race but is unlikely to be far off the mark either
- MY DREAM MESLOIS – Eliminated in last 3, most recently a Class D under these conditions on 23 September. Has bags of ability though and it is only a question of time before he comes good again
- MERITE – Ran 2nd twice before coming 4th of 18 in a 2775m Class B at les Sables-d’Olonne 10 days ago. Is being aimed higher this time though and others easier to back
- MY LOVE D’EVEL – Won 2 in a row before coming 3rd of 10 in a 2175m Class D here on 9 September. Comes here fresh and with Eric Raffin reining will have a good hand to play
- MILORD DE BUY – Showed improvement when 6th of 13 in a 2450m Caen Class C on 11 October but is still not up to the task
- MILLIUM QUESNOT – 8th in 12 September race of reference before coming 5th of 11 in a 2825m Class B at Le Croise-Laroche on 1 October, and is not about to trouble the judge
- MALKO MESLOIS – Was going good-guns in a Class D under these conditions on 23 September when eliminated at the last turn. Has already won for Yoann Lebourgeois who will be determined to put things right. Chance
- MAESTRO DES SARTS – Showed improvement when 3rd of 14 in a 2050m Cabourg Class D mid-month. Has yet to show much liking for the Vincennes surface and others preferred
- MALIUM – Dynamic winner at Angers on 1 October but failed to confirm when eliminated in a 2450m Caen Class C 10 days later. David Thomain in the wagon this time and can make first 5
- MILLE MERCIS – 5th of 14 after being denied a run in a Class D under these conditions on 23 September. Paul Ploquin picks up an excellent chance and can win this if he keeps his colt out of trouble
- MYTHE DU GOUTIER – No slouch but starts for the first time since running 5th of 13 in a 2725m Pornichet Class B on 14 August, and probably best to hold off
- MERCURY DELO – Useful sort debuting on the main track after running 2nd of 14 in a 2100m Class D here on 7 October. Takes on a better lot here but is nicely-entered and still has the wherewithal to finish in the money
Summary: Not overstretched after a difficult trip on his Vincennes debut last month, MILLE MERCIS (13) returns to the venue with Paul Ploquin in the bike and with more luck in running can wrap this up. He will still be keeping an eagle eye on the delicate but talented MALKO MESLOIS (10) was eliminated after having looked solid that day, and MY LOVE D’EVEL (7) who returns to Vincennes after having left a very good impression at the venue early last month. Better than both of his recent return runs would suggest, MADISON SEVEN (2) will be reunited with JMB who should put things right.

C4 – PRIX DU DORAT – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class A – Harness – EUR € 71,000 - JUST D’ERONVILLE – Returned to winning ways on 13 September in a 2950m Vichy Class C. Takes a notable step up in category but is first-time barefoot and must be respected
- JIBI DU FRUITIER – Honest trotter that ran 3rd of 15 in a 2450m Caen Class C on 11 October. Is not about to cause an upset but should nevertheless acquit himself honourably
- JOURNEE REVEE – Pleasant 5th of 13 behind JASON (8) in a 2200m Caen Class B on 19 October, but is clearly biting off more than she can chew this time
- JAGUAR MARANCOURT – 5th of 13 to JOUR DE FETE (5) in a 2850m Laval Class D on 25 September. Is very much the weak link here and is unlikely to improve on that
- JOUR DE FETE – Steps up in category after securing a 2850m Laval Class D on 25 September. Is plainly at the top of his game and although unlikely to impose, can still make first 5
- JOCONDE SIBEY – 9th of 13 behind JASON (8), on comeback, in a 2200m Caen Class B on 19 October. Goes barefoot this time but still not a concern
- JASON GINYU – Was not totally at his ease when 7th of 12 behind JILORD VIVA (9), on return from a spell, in a 2700m Class B here on 3 October. Form is not in question and can impose if his trainer keeps him focused
- JASON – 3rd of 13, on re-entry, in a 2200m Caen Class B on 19 October. Entrusted to a leading driver this time and is unlikely to disappoint
- JILORD VIVA – 2nd in a Meslay-du-Maine Gr.3 before coming 4th of 12 in a Class B over course and distance early this month. Eric Raffin back in the bike and can challenge for the win
- JAPPELOUP TURGOT – Back at a more reasonable level after running 5th of 16 in a 2850m Feurs Gr.3 a fortnight ago. Has decent references under these conditions and will be competitive for a place in the frame
Summary: A fine campaigner with an enviable strike-rate, JASON GINYU (7) was not the most fortunate on his re-entry on a wet day here earlier this month, but the run will have done him good and Arnaud Desmottes will be determined to set the record straight. JILORD VIVA (9) ran a tenacious 4th that day and receives an Eric Raffin drive for the occasion. JAPPELOUP TURGOT (10) takes a small dip in class after holding his own in good company at Feurs, and should be able to make the frame this time. JASON (8) races barefoot following a convincing return to competition and will be partnered by Alexandre Abrivard.

C5 – PRIX D’AMIENS – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class C – Harness – EUR € 53,000 - KOCKTAIL WOOD – Starts for the first time since running 2nd of 11 in a 2100m Class A here last February, and is going to need the run
- KNOCK OUT – 4th of 13 behind KAZAN BEACH (6) in a 2850m Class C here 3 weeks ago. Tends to show more a level down and with Alexandre Abrivard reining should not be overlooked
- KWARTZ SIBEY – 11th of 16 when being conditioned in a 2750m Class B at Les Sables-d’Olonne 10 days ago. Is barefoot this time but still takes on too much
- KALMIO DE LOU – Lost his action in 10 October race of reference but Eric Raffin maintains faith and can finish in the mix if he keeps his charge focused
- KIROMAN – 3rd of 10 finishers in a 2825m Class B at Lyon-Parilly early this month. Has little love for Vincennes though and can be passed over
- KAZAN BEACH – Left a good impression when 2nd of 13 in a 2850m Class C here on 10 October. Benjamin Rochard in the bike again and has a realistic chance of imposing this time
- KNOK – Showed marginal improvement when 6th of 13 behind KAZAN BEACH (6) in a 2850m Class C here 3 weeks ago. Goes barefoot with Franck Nivard at the helm this time, but still not a priority
- KOUROUX – Comfortable winner of a 2850m Class D here last week. Takes a notable step up in category though and will struggle to repeat
- KITTS ET NEVIS – 5th of 13 behind KAZAN BEACH (6) in a 2850m Class C here 3 weeks ago. Is plainly in form and the change of shoeing may be just what the doctor ordered
- KOPA D’ARC – 3rd of 13 behind KAZAN BEACH (6) in a 2850m Class C here 3 weeks ago. Is first time barefoot though and Franck Ouvrie will be quietly confident of turning the tables
- KRYSTAL PIYA – Consistent sort that came 3rd of 12 in a 2750m Cabourg Class D in late-August. Comes here fresh but has never delivered at Vincennes and is unlikely to create an upset
- KASSIDY KID – Honest sort that ran 5th of 14 behind KAISER DES GRANGES (13) in a Class C over track and trip on 19 September. Seldom gets his nose in front but plainly has the wherewithal to pick up a cheque
- KAISER DES GRANGES – 10th of 12 when preparing for this in a 2800m Class B at Le Croise-Laroche a month ago. Is shod as he was when 3rd under there conditions 10 days earlier and must be respected
- KINGSMAN D’EOLE – Faithful servant that ran 4th of 14, a place behind KAISER DES GRANGES (13), in a Class C over track and trip on 19 September. Consistently gives his best but looks more a minor place chance this time around
- KIWI DE TREMONT – Makes first Vincennes start of the year after being eliminated in a 2650m Bordeaux Class B 2.5 weeks ago. Has form under these conditions, and runs barefoot, but in current shape is not about to spice things up
- KOVES DU PONT – Eliminated early but showed significant form in a Class C under these conditions on 19 September. Is just 110 Euros from elimination and can get his nose in front if Nicolas Bazire gets him off on the right foot
Summary: A highly-competitive race here with a number in contention, however it is difficult not to believe in the rejuvenated KOPA D’ARC (10) who races barefoot for the first time. He still faces stiff competition from KAZAN BEACH (6) who had his measure here earlier in the month, and the wonderfully-engaged KOVES DU PONT (16) who will have come on for his recent run despite having been eliminated. 7th that day before coming 5th in the race of reference, KITTS ET NEVIS (9) reverts to a successful formula and will be expected to get back in the game.

C6 – PRIX D’AVESNES – 2850m (a2m) – Class C – Mounted – EUR € 53,000 - KENYAN BLUES – Reassuring 3rd of 11 in a 2700m Class D here on 7 October but on this occasion is out of his league
- KRONOS DE VANDEL – Flattering 5th of 6 finishers in a 2700m Gr.2 here on 10 October and is unlikely to ruffle any feathers
- KELLE CLASS – 12th of 14 finishers in a harness Class D over course and distance early this month. Unseen under the saddle since 2023 and with shoes on will have nothing to offer
- KOALA – Makes first appearance since running 5th of 12 in a 2700m Class C here in mid-April. Faithful servant with excellent ridden references and under Eric Raffin can play a leading role
- EMPIRE AS – Last of 11 behind KATIM DU GOUTIER (8) in a 2100m harness Class C here last week. Acquitted himself respectably on monte bow on 23 September but better options available
- KILOU D’YMER – 4th of 8 behind KLINGER (NOR) (7) in a 2700m Class C here on 23 September. Has ground to make up but could still eke out a cheque
- KLINGER (NOR) – Made up for Sables-d’Olonne elimination when 2nd of 8 in a 2700m Class C here on 23 September. Has taken well to his new vocation and is unlikely to return home empty-handed
- KATIM DU GOUTIER – Modest 5th on monte debut prior to running 9th of 11 in a 2100m harness Class C here late last week, and is not about to spring a surprise
- KOQUIN DU PERCHE – Unthreatening, but convincing, 4th of 9 on comeback in a 2700m Class C here on 14 October. Is new to the distance but appreciates Vincennes and must not be overlooked
- KALINE DU JOUR – Encountered no opposition en route to victory in a Class C over course and distance late last month. Has had time to recover, returns with morale intact, and will be no easy touch
- KIKI AND CO – Eliminated in a 2100m harness Class C conditioner last Friday. Alexandre Abrivard in the irons this time and should take all the beating
- KRIS MARTIN – Imposed under harness at Divonne-les-Bains before finishing last but one in a harness Gr.1 over course and distance 2.5 weeks ago. Damien Bonne in the saddle and is not to be underestimated. Attention
Summary: Winner of his last 3 monte starts, including over course and distance, KIKI AND CO (11) is shod as he was for the most part last winter and will be expected to make this his own. That said, KALINE DU JOUR (10) made short work of her own monte debut here late last month and even though reconfigured, still looks the main threat. KOALA (4) has not been seen out since April but he is competitively-shod for re-entry, with Eric Raffin in the irons, and is hard to ignore. Well-engaged close to the limit of earnings, KRIS MARTIN (12) will be shod to preference and returns to the code with a lot to contribute.

C7 – PRIX D’EMBRUN – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 40,000 - LOUXOR DE GUEZ – Quality but complicated sort that ran last but one on re-entry in a Class B over track and trip on 14 October, and is going to require another outing
- LORD TURGOT – Eliminated in 2 of 3 since his return, most recently a Class C over course and distance on 14 October. Races shod this time and best to hold off
- LOVER SIXTY ONE – Pleasant but surprising 5th of 15 behind LODESTAR (16) in a Class C under these conditions on 14 October, and a repeat seems most unlikely
- LE POETE BOURBON – One-paced 7th of 15 behind LODESTAR (16) in a Class C under these conditions on 14 October and is not about to improve on that
- LE RETOUR VRIE – Valiant 4th of 15 behind LODESTAR (16) in a Class C under these conditions on 14 October. Races barefoot for the first time and should not be underestimated
- LEXCELLENT DU METZ – Ran 2nd over 2100m before coming an unlucky 5th of 12 finishers behind LE MAC (9) in a Class C over course and distance a month ago. Given a chance though can finish close
- LORD DE BANVILLE – Ran 6th behind LE MAC (9) here before being eliminated in a 2800m Rambouillet Class B on 5 October. Barefoot this time but still not a concern
- LICAR SOMOLLI – Produced 3 fine efforts before being eliminated in 28 September race of reference. Shoes on this time and best to keep one’s powder dry
- LE MAC – Ran 3rd over course and distance before losing his action in a 2450m Caen Class C on 19 October. Has never failed to deliver for Eric Raffin but appears to have a lot more to do this time
- LORENZO BERRY – Last of 12 behind LE MAC (9) when preparing for this in a Class C over course and distance a month back. Imposed last time over course and distance and is not incapable of repeating
- LOBSTER DU BELLAY – 4th of 12, a place behind behind LE MAC (9), in a Class C over course and distance a month ago. Returns to racing shod and others easier to back
- L’AMIRAL DIGEO – Opened his autumn account in Toulouse before running 2nd of 18 in a 2775m Craon Class D a month ago. Excels with Antonin Andre and while not a priority can still not be ruled out
- L’AMOUR SUPREME – 8th of 10 finishers when being conditioned in a 2450m Caen Class C on 19 October. Faces first objective of the season and can impose
- LOIC BARON – Has not been seen out since running 6th of 11 in a 3000m Marseille-Borely Class B in mid-May and is here for reasons of conditioning
- LOUSTIC DE SALOMAX – Quality individual that finished 11th of 18 in a 2800m Cordemais Class B conditioner on 5 October. Has decent form with his young driver and if fully-fit can make a big impact
- LODESTAR – Just failed to secure the hat-trick when 2nd of 15 in a Class C under these conditions on 14 October. Is ideally-engaged and with Mathieu Mottier reining this time will be no shrinking violet. Chance
Summary: A serious sort from the Duvaldestin powerhouse, L’AMOUR SUPREME (13) has a pair of runs under his belt since the lengthy layoff, races first-time barefoot, and can get straight down to business. He will however face resistance from the nicely-entered LODESTAR (16) who has been excelling over recent months, and a freshly-barefoot LOUSTIC DE SALOMAX (15) who boasts a good record under these conditions. LORENZO BERRY (10) presents a 75 percent win-rate when barefoot and must be regarded a player.

C8 – PRIX DES CEVENNES – 2850m (a2m) – Gr3 – Harness – EUR € 90,000 - JEWELCANDLE FAC – 11th of 14 in a Class C over course and distance a fortnight ago. Sports a new configuration but still not a priority
- IROISE DE LA NOE – Quality mare but has not been seen out since running 2nd in a Class A over course and distance last May. Shoes fitted and no threat
- HAPPY DANICA – 3rd in a Gr.2 at La Capelle before running 5th of 13 behind JOSH POWER (8) in Gr.1 Grand Prix de Wallonie in Mons on 20 September. Has references in the day’s configuration and will have her supporters
- GENDREEN – 4th of 11 finishers in a 2625m Alencon amateurs Class E 11 days ago. Is undeniably capable but appears to be taking on too much this time
- HORCHESTRO – Eliminated in 2 of last 3, most recently a 2850m Feurs Gr.3 mid-month, and even though unlucky that day, and barefoot this time, cannot be considered a player
- INO DU LUPIN – Excellent 3rd of 8 in a 2400m Gr.2 at Beaumont-de-Lomagne last week. Has been an inspiration over recent weeks and can again finish close
- FULTON – Eliminated in last 4, latterly a 3125m Angers Gr.3 on 1 October, but has other ambitions and can be written off
- JOSH POWER – 2nd of 13 in 2840m Gr.1 Grand Prix de Wallonie in Mons on 20 September, and will not be sent out at 35-1 this time. Place chance
- GASPAR D’ANGIS – 4th of 8, just edged out by INO DU LUPIN (6), in a 2400m Gr.2 at Beaumont-de-Lomagne last week. Is as tough as they come and Eric Raffin will be keen to exact revenge
- JUSHUA TREE – Showed his form after being eliminated in a 3125m Angers Gr.3 on 1 October. Is arguably the classiest horse here and can win this if applied
- HOKKAIDO JIEL – Hardy element making first appearance since running 4th of 17 in last November’s Prix de Bourgogne. Is not about to shake things up but is worth monitoring all the same
- IZOARD VEDAQUAIS – 2nd of 12 finishers in a 3125m Angers Gr.3 on 1 October, his first start since March. Will have progressed for the race and should prove main danger to JUSHUA TREE (10)
Summary: On course for the Prix d’Amérique before being injured, JUSHUA TREE (10) is undeniably the attraction of the race. He races unshod-behind for the occasion and if sufficiently fit should have this in the bag. IZOARD VEDAQUAIS (12) showed his form on his re-entry at Angers though and will not be disposed of easily. Surprise 2nd in last month’s Gr.1 Grand Prix de Wallonie in Mons, JOSH POWER (8) sports modified shoeing and will generate more interest this time around. INO DU LUPIN (6) is enjoying something of a renaissance and will be expected to give this a good go.

C1 – PRIX DU MONT BLANC – 3800m (a2m1/2) – TURF – Class 3 – Hurdles – EUR € 24,000
- GROOM BOY – Placed on his last four starts, the latter when 3rd at Lyon Parilly over 4100m in a Class 3 chase on September 28th. He won over hurdles in 2024. Player
- CHOEUR ETINCELLE – Out of form with several unplaced runs, the latter when failing to finish over 3600m in a handicap hurdle at Auteuil on October 12th. Pass over
- SAINT LANGIS – Placed on his last two runs, the latter when 4th at Nimes on October 5th in a Class 4 hurdle. Others are preferred
- IN LOVE – Unplaced last time in the Prix la Haye Jousselin (Grade 1) chase when last seen in May. 3rd at Lyon Parilly over 3800m in a Class 3 hurdle on May 3rd. Useful gelding who can be expected to play a lead role back from a break
- MAESTRANTE – Not seen since a 4th in a handicap hurdle at Compiegne on November 30th, 2023. Back from a prolonged absence, and he can make the frame
- IT’S IN THE RAIN – Nice effort to be 3rd over 4400m at Auteuil on October 7th in a Class 1 chase. The switch to hurdles should not pose a problem. Key chance
- COLWINSTON – He won at Auteuil over 3500m in a Class 2 handicap chase on May 18th, 2024, when last seen. Lightly raced and back from a layoff. Look elsewhere
Summary: IT’S IN THE RAIN (6) has been performing well in decent races at Auteuil over fences. His third in a Class 1 on October 7th was a pleasing effort. He should be too smart for his rivals, and the switch back over hurdles should not be a major concern. IN LOVE (4) was highly tried in the Prix la Haye Jousselin (Grade 1) chase when last seen in May. He will feel more at home today and can be a threat. GROOM BOY (1) and MAESTRANTE (5) can duel for minor honours.

Summary: AL FONCE (5) showed plenty of ability on her debut at Lyon Parilly when second in early September over hurdles and is expected to go one place better this time. LENZA CONTI (2) will do her best to overturn the likely favourite and reverts to hurdles after a couple of less convincing runs over fences. LIPSTICK MACALO (7) is a sensible option each way, and the newcomer LOU GIRL (8) has a nice profile and is bred to be smart. She is worth a market check.

- RAZAMIX – 5th on her second start at Lyon Parilly on September 28th in a Class 4 hurdle race. This will be more of a challenge
- NIRVANAFIX – Filly on debut by Nirvana Du Berlais, the dam ran twice over hurdles. Stable runners warrant respect, and this filly should be monitored in the betting market for clues
- ARACRUZ – Placed 2nd on the one run over 3600m at Argentan on October 11th in a Class 4 hurdle. Open to progress and warrants each way consideration
Summary: With a win on his debut on the flat late last month at Royan, BOYSTONE (6) looks like a nice prospect and can follow up on his hurdling bow. MERCI MAM (8) is out of a smart mare who won five races over jumps, and he will be well tuned for his first run. EMPYREAN (7) is having his debut run and is one to watch in the betting for any market support.

- BORN TO SMILE – 7th on the one run over 3400m at Lyon Parilly on September 28th over hurdles. She will need to improve a good deal to make the top four
Summary: ZE WEEKEND (1) won nicely at Dax in a claiming hurdle 25 days ago and won twice in claiming hurdles in the summer. - BLANCA – Dam won once over 2150m but this horse may need a few runs. Not an easy race to make her debut
Summary: NAOMIS (3) just bumped into a better sort last time out and now appears to be ready to break her duck. She will enjoy the step up in trip and sets the standard on form. MATAURI QUEEN (2) was held by the top pick on debut but would have tightened up and can close the deficit. She could be the one to pick up the pieces should the top choice fluff her lines.
