R1 VINCENNES [L-H]
C1 – PRIX MAURICE THEVENON – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class E Amateur Drivers – Harness – EUR € 15,000
- JUST REMEMBER – Met no opposition en route to winning Gr.A of the Coupe des Amateurs over course and distance 10 days ago. Excels in the amateur division and will be expected to confirm
- JAZZ MELODY – Would have finished closer than 6th in Gr.B race of reference had she been afforded a run. Is not about to take Vincennes by storm but can nevertheless finish in the mix
- JUST A WINNER – Unexceptional individual that ran an unexceptional 7th to JUST REMEMBER (1) in 6 November Gr.A race of reference and has no possible chance
- IMOW ROLAU – Placed at Graignes in the professional ranks before running 8th to JUST REMEMBER (1) here earlier in the month, and can be confidently ruled out
- JEEP DES CHARRONS – 4th of 14 in Gr.A race of reference on 6 November, her best result at this level, but will struggle to confirm
- IMPRESS ME – Pleasant 6th to JUST REMEMBER (1) here on 6 November despite being unsure of stride. Cannot be regarded a priority but can still pick up some prizemoney
- ILDA DE BERTRANGE – Has hardly put a foot out of line in the amateur category this season, most recently coming 3rd in Gr.B race of reference. Races barefoot for first time since May and must not be underestimated
- HONEY DE TOUCHYVON – Ran 3rd in the amateur category at Salon-de-Provence in late-October but failed to confirm when 7th in Gr.B race of reference, and is unlikely to influence the result this time either
- HISTOIRE DE LIERRE – Showed marginal improvement on Chartres performance when 5th in Gr.B race of reference, but still represents no more than an outside chance
- HIDAO DE LA GOUTTE – 5th of 14 to JUST REMEMBER (1) in a Class F over course and distance 10 days ago. Will not be available at 104-1 this time but will not be as competitive either
- HOCCO DARCHE – Sprang a 52-1 surprise when 4th to ICONE PLANCHETTE (14) in a Class F over course and distance 10 days ago. A repeat however seems improbable
- HATALANTE DE FLO – Good, consistent mare that came valiant 2nd to JUST REMEMBER (1) in Gr.A of the Coupe des Amateurs over track and trip 10 days ago. Seldom disappoints under these conditions and can again finish close
- IZIASLAV TEK – Won 4 of 5 starts before coming 2nd to ICONE PLANCHETTE (14) in Gr.B of the Coupe des Amateurs under these conditions 10 days ago. Is better racing clockwise but will not be far off the mark if he turns
- ICONE PLANCHETTE – Won 3 of last 4 starts, most recently Gr.B of the Coupe des Amateurs over track and trip 10 days ago, and Pauline Cavanie will be hoping to bring the fight to JUST REMEMBER (1)
Summary: There is a host of good horses in the field but at the end of the day it should just boil down to a barefoot JUST REMEMBER (1) who stormed up in Group A of the Coupe des Amateurs here 10 days ago, and ICONE PLANCHETTE (14) who dominated Group B. Runner-up to the latter, IZIASLAV TEK (13) should again figure prominently, as should HATALANTE DE FLO (12) who came in a courageous 2nd to Pascal Garreau’s horse.

C2 – PRIX RFM (PRIX JEAN MAURICE BETEAU) – 2850m (a2m) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 35,000 - LEGENDE SEVEN – Clearly talented but has been struggling since her September return to competition. Goes barefoot again and can play a small role if she stays in stride
- LEONA DU GITE – Useful filly in the monte game but has no aptitude for the harness discipline and can be confidently ignored
- LOYALTY – Dependable type starting for the first time since running 4th in a Class D over 2700m here last June and is going to need the outing
- LUCRECE DE CORDAY – Showed marked improvement late last month, on 2nd start back, when 3rd of 18 in a 2700m Class D here. Returns with morale intact and will not be far from the action if she takes to the new distance
- L’ORANGE – Progressive filly making just 2nd start following a long absence. Is patently in conditioning-mode and best to keep one’s powder dry
- LAIA D’AVRIL – Ran good 2nd at Enghien before losing all chance early in a 2100m Class D here a month ago. Alexandre Abrivard at the helm this time but still not an obvious choice
- LUNE LUMALO – Reverts to a more productive formula after a lacklustre Class E run over 2100m here early this month. Is not a priority but cannot be ruled out either
- LUNA HAUFOR – Classy individual with a pair of conditioners in her after a lengthy absence. Is plainly in competition-mode and, already proven over the distance here, looks the pick of the bunch
- LOLITA – Pleased in both runs last month but can count herself unlucky for recent elimination. Has already won over the distance and with application can make a big splash
- L’ILE D’HAUFOR – Good future prospect that has won 2 of the 3 Vincennes races she has run. Had a lung-opener at Angers last month and will not be far off the mark if David Thomain manages to keep her focused
- LUTTE DE COSSE – Handy sort making Vincennes debut after an uninspired comeback run at La Rochelle last Sunday and will need to find significantly more
- LAURA SISSI – Ran 2nd to LATIKA BELLA (13) over the distance at Laval recently. Plainly has ground to make up but with form maintained can play an active role
- LATIKA BELLA – Made an unexceptional re-entry here before securing a Laval Class E over the same trip on 7 October. Eric Raffin in the bike this time and will be expecting to contest the finish
Summary: Put away after having shown considerable ability here last winter, LUNA HAUFOR (8) returns to the capital after a pair of provincial fresheners and, barefoot for the first time, is easy to fancy for the win. Damien Bonne will still be mindful of the terrifically-engaged LATIKA BELLA (13) who laid down the law at Laval earlier in the month, and LOLITA (9) who was going well when eliminated here in October. L’ILE D’HAUFOR (10) may just have the one run under her belt since January but she won in this configuration last time here and looks a player.

C3 – PRIX DES HIPPODROMES DU MORBIHAN – 2175m (a1m1/4) – Class D – Mounted – EUR € 46,000 - JAYA DU QUENNE – Rewarded with victory in a 2825m Class F at Le Croise-Laroche last weekend. Sports a fresh formula for Vincennes bow but still has more to find
- DALI’DEL RONCO – Eliminated on monte debut in an Enghien Class E on 18 October, and others easier to trust
- DAMISELA – Fine mare with a particular liking for Vincennes conditions. Should be fit by now and with pads fitted can play a leading role
- JESOLO – Gave a fine account on re-entry when 4th in an Alencon Class F. Won under these conditions in November 2024 and given his liking for Vincennes can contest the finish
- GOODWIN ZET – Serious Scandinavian type taking first steps in the discipline. Won under harness on comeback, Francois Lagadeuc will be in the saddle, but others still preferred
- JANICK DU VIVIER – Fine campaigner in this branch of the business, and is plainly in excellent form, but at this level, with pads fitted, will struggle to make her mark
- JAMES OF CARLY – Not without merit but was trounced at Mauquenchy a week ago and in this category has clearly taken on too much
- MANSKENSTOSEN – Wonderfully consistent Swedish mare with nothing to prove at this level or over the distance. Is seldom far from the action and can be relied upon to run a competitive race
- JASMINE DE NEUVY – Hardy mare that has hardly put a foot out of place since April, latterly coming 3rd of 9 in a 2700m Class C here a month ago. Eliminated on sole effort over the distance here but in current form is hard to ignore
- BATTUTA FACE – Serious Swedish raider that has transitioned well since leaving the nordics. Pleasantly surprised over 2700m here late last month and with form maintained can pick up another cheque
- JET MESLOIS – Tricky but talented sort that was quickly eliminated over track and trip on 21 October. Has struggled with stride woes lately but will not be far off the mark if Anthony Barrier gets him off on the right foot
- JOSHUA PEJI – Never far from faulting but has won 4 of the 5 monte races he has finished. Clearly in excellent shape and with application should have this in the bag
- JADE DE CASTELLE – Solid as a rock before being sent for a break in August. Freshened up under harness, is shod to preference for first goal of the winter meeting, and cannot be ruled out
- JAB DE MYE – Returns to the discipline after a trio of underwhelming harness efforts. Unseen under the saddle since 2022 and can be passed over
Summary: Back under the saddle after winning 4 of his last 6 harness starts, JOSHUA PEJI (12) may never have delivered under the saddle here but with application can finally break his Vincennes duck. In 3 ridden appearances at the venue, JESOLO (4) has won 2 and finished runner-up in the 3rd, and his recent re-entry will have done him good. The well-regarded DAMISELA (3) sports 4 pads for her return to the discipline and tackles 2175m for the first time and with a good hand to play. One of the most dependable horses here, MANSKENSTOSEN (8) won under these conditions earlier in the year and with shoes off is easy to recommend.

C4 – PRIX DE BRETAGNE-AMERIQUE RACES Q1 – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Gr2 – Harness – EUR € 120,000 - EPIC KRONOS – Serious Swedish raider with an enviable strike-rate. Won a Gr.1 on sole Vincennes start and in current condition is easy to like for a first-5 cheque
- J’AIME LE FOOT – 9th of 11 on re-entry in a 2850m Gr.3 here last weekend. Will have other ambitions and can be passed over
- KEEP GOING – Won a pair of Gr.2s here in August before flopping in Criterium des 5 Ans on 13 September. Has not been seen since and may just be a race shy
- JUSTIN BOLD – Can prove a handful but has otherwise been hard to knock lately. Close 2nd to IGUSKI SAUTONNE (5) in 2400m Gr.2 Grand Prix du Sud-Ouest at Beaumont-de-Lomagne on 22 October, however chances seem limited this time around
- IGUSKI SAUTONNE – Has taken his game to a new level this year, most recently winning 2400m Gr.2 Grand Prix du Sud-Ouest at Beaumont-de-Lomagne on 22 October. A repeat seems unlikely but can still finish in the mix
- KRACK TIME ATOUT – Classy character making first appearance since dominating the Gr.1 Critérium des 5 Ans on 13 September. Hind shoes back on this time though and looks more a minor place chance
- JOSH POWER – 2nd in a Mons Gr.1 prior to coming 4th to JUSHUA TREE (13) in Prix des Cevennes here 2.5 weeks ago. Is barefoot for the first time this term and will be competitive for a place on the podium
- KANA DE BEYLEV – One of the best mares of her generation but faces the elite of older horses here and even racing barefoot will have it all to do
- JEAN BALTHAZAR – Serious type making first appearance since late-June. Has a winter under the saddle ahead of him and can be disregarded
- INA DU RIB – High-class monte mare starting for the first time since June and is here only for reasons of conditioning
- JUST LOVE YOU – None other than last January’s Prix d’Amerique runner-up, but will need to show marked improvement on last month’s Gr.2 Grand Prix du Sud-Ouest 6th
- HOKKAIDO JIEL – Ran 6th to JUSHUA TREE (13) in Prix des Cevennes here 2.5 weeks ago, his first start since December. Enjoys an excellent record under these conditions and looks a player this time around
- JUSHUA TREE – Clearly back on track following an easy victory in 2850m Gr.3 Prix des Cevennes here 2.5 weeks ago. Barefoot for first time since winning Gr.1 Prix Bold Eagle in January 2024, and will be hard to oppose
- IZOARD VEDAQUAIS – Wonderfully performant servant that took no time getting back down to business, most recently running 3rd in Prix des Cevennes here 2.5 weeks ago, and enjoys a realistic chance of making the frame
- HIRONDELLE DU RIB – Gr.1-winning mare with a pair of runs under her belt following the break. Is preparing for a campaign in the other code and will have nothing to offer
- BORUPS VICTORY – Quality Scandinavian speedster with nothing to prove at this level. Has raced just twice over a similar trip but showed last year at Romme that he was up to the task and looks competitively well in here
- JUST A GIGOLO – Out of the picture in both starts since his long layoff, latterly 7th in Grand Prix du Sud-Ouest last month. Is more competitively shod but others still preferred
- IDEALE DU CHENE – Fine mare being conditioned ahead of her quest for Cornulier glory and will be bringing nothing to this particular party
Summary: Forced to miss most of last winter’s meeting due to injury, JUSHUA TREE (13) gave us a taste of what is to come when dominating the Gr.3 Prix des Cevennes here in late-October and, barefoot this time, will take all the beating. Leading the opposition, last year’s 6th place, JOSH POWER (7), showed his form in Mons before running 4th to JMB’s horse 2.5 weeks ago, but will be barefoot and more competitive this time. Consistently performant, IZOARD VEDAQUAIS (14) came 3rd that day and should again figure prominently. 6th in the Cevennes on his return from a lengthy layoff, HOKKAIDO JIEL (12) races barefoot on this occasion and can make up for last year’s disappointment. Courageous winner of a Beaumont Gr.2 last month, IGUSKI SAUTONNE (5) should again finish close to the action.

C5 – PRIX DE BOISSY-SAINT-LEGER – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Gr3 – Harness – EUR € 80,000 - KAVIARISSIME – Would have finished 4th behind LORD DU GERS (8) in 2700m Gr.3 Prix Pierre Van Troyen here on 24 October had he not endured traffic woes. Is plainly in excellent shape and can apply more pressure this time
- KHAL’S FELLA – Makes first start since failing to fire in a Gr.2 here in mid-August. Has won 2of 4 under these conditions though and the draw will do him no disservice
- KARAKA WOOD – Useful dual-discipline mare that ran a good 3rd of 16 in a 2850m Laval Class A 2 weeks ago. Is currently enjoying a productive run of form and Franck Nivard will be eager to take advantage of the draw
- ENCIERRO (ITY) – Takes a dip in category after finishing a respectable but unthreatening 8th in Gr.2 Prix Marcel Laurent 10 days ago. Faces a more reasonable challenge this time and is unlikely to go home empty-handed
- EDGAR SABA – In the frame in last 3, most recently a 2850m Gr.3 here in late-September. Has a liking for 2100m over the main track and the draw will only enhance his decent place prospects
- KEEN WINNER – One-paced 8th of 10 finishers in 2850m Gr.1 Critérium des 5 Ans here on 13 September. Will not have the best of her generation to contend with this time and is unlikely to be far off the mark
- LITTLE BROWN – Mixes the good with the less good but ran encouraging 4th to LORD DU GERS (8) in Gr.3 Prix Pierre Van Troyen here on 24 October. Starts in front and is not incapable of getting a look in
- LORD DU GERS – Classy colt that has taken his game up a notch over recent months. Is new to 2100m, and breaks wide, but still has a strong claim on the spoils
- LUCKY JACKSON – Disappointing on the whole since the spring, including 4 straight eliminations, and can be confidently ruled out
- EVERY TIME WINNER – Trotter that springs the occasional surprise but has not been at his best over recent months and will have little to contribute
- ELEONORA GRIF – Quality import that has taken well to Vincennes conditions, most recently 3rd in a Class C over course and distance, on comeback, late last month. In this company though will need to find more
- ENOCK – Sent for a short spell after placing in 3 straight here, latterly under these conditions on 18 September. Steps up in category and is not ideally drawn, but can still play a small part
- JIGGER – Made a winning re-entry in Turin 3 weeks ago, but is new to Vincennes and is unlikely to be given a hard race
- PANTOCRATOR – Starts for first time since finishing 7th of 9 in a 2850m Class A here in early-September. Shoes off for comeback but others still easier to back
- LEMON TREE – Competitively-shod after a pair of fresheners in the provinces. Has yet to deliver in the day’s configuration and is unlikely to be troubling the judge
- KEEP YOUR DREAMS – Useful on a good day but will need to improve on his 7th of 16 in a 2725m Lisieux Class B on 24 September
Summary: Eliminated when full of running in the Critérium des 4 Ans before being denied a run in the Gr.3 Prix Pierre Van Troyen here next time, LORD DU GERS (8) starts wide this time but is a class above most here and deserves some good fortune. Unplaced that day after suffering interference, KAVIARISSIME (1) nevertheless showed his form and can finish close if kept out of harm’s way. EDGAR SABA (5) has been knocking at the door, enjoys an excellent entry, and from the 5-spot can put on a good show. KEEN WINNER (6) drops back to a more reasonable level and is unlikely to let the side down.

C6 – PRIX GUY DELOISON – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Gr2 – Harness – EUR € 120,000 - MORNING NEWS – Acquits herself well for the most part but eliminated in both comeback runs and will first need to reassure
- MARION D’ATOUT – Eye-catching 2nd in a Class A over track and trip a month ago. Is pitted against some better horses this time however and cannot be considered a player
- MY LADY CASTELLE – Honest filly that ran 4th of 7 finishers to MOSTRA DE BANVILLE (4) in a 2700m Gr.3 here 10 days ago. Faces a stiffer test this time around though and looks more a minor place chance on this occasion
- MOSTRA DE BANVILLE – Complicated but has ample ability. Made up for Prix Uranie run when storming up in a Gr.3 over course and distance 10 days ago. A repeat seems improbable but should nevertheless hold her own
- MISSANDEI – Lost her action in a Gr.3 under these conditions on 6 November but showed her form all the same, and Benjamin Rochard will be eager to put things right
- MELBA DU GERS – Last but one to MAGIC NIGHT (11) in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Uranie here on 24 October. Already boasts a Gr.2 title to her name and with Jean-Michel Bazire reining should logically figure prominently
- MIDWAY LADY – Yet to get off the mark but always acquits herself honourably. Defied her 41-1 price to come 3rd in Gr.2 Prix Uranie and must be taken more seriously this time around
- MADRID HAUFOR – 5th in Criterium des 3 Ans before running fine 2nd to MAGIC NIGHT (11) in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Uranie on 24 October, and with form maintained can repeat
- MORALITY – Pleased earlier in the year but has subsequently been less performant. Unseen since coming 6th, at 179-1, in Criterium des 3 Ans on 13 September and will have few takers
- MILLE ETOILES – Surprisingly lacklustre in Criterium prior to coming 4th to MAGIC NIGHT (11) in 24 October race of reference. One of the most reliably performant horses here and will be competitive at the business end of the race
- MAGIC NIGHT – Had the Criterium des 3 Ans in her hands only to be disqualified. Redeemed herself in the 2175m Gr.2 Prix Uranie on 24 October and will be difficult to oppose
Summary: By some margin the best filly of her generation, MAGIC NIGHT (11) can be a bit spirited but she at least made up for her Criterium des 3 Ans misfortune when dominating the Gr.2 Prix Uranie just over 3 weeks ago, and if kept out of trouble will have a lock on the race. MADRID HAUFOR (8) ran a good 2nd to her that day and can again figure prominently. MILLE ETOILES (10) is much better than the 4th place she posted in the Prix Uranie and will be expected to finish closer this time. MELBA DU GERS (6) may not have been firing on all cylinders recently but with JMB in the bike should not be underestimated.

C7 – PRIX DE COSSE LE VIVIEN – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class C – Harness – EUR € 68,000 - ENJOY THE GAME – Serious trotter that seldom lets the side down when focused. Was unlucky on comeback but can make amends if kept out of harm’s way
- NINEPOINTS LASSE – Good dual-discipline type returning to the harness code following a pair of monte eliminations. Has shown a liking for these conditions and Alexandre Abrivard can be quietly confident
- CHARMY CHARLY AS – Returns to France after imposing on comeback over 2600m in Krieau in late-September. Will have come on for the race but faces a much stiffer test this time around
- JONGLEUSE DE LUNE – Capable mare that recently returned to competition following a 5 months break. Tends to prefer a longer trip and is unlikely to create an upset
- JILORD VIVA – Made short work of a 2700m Class A here 2.5 weeks ago. Takes on a less-exalted lot this time and is in with a realistic shout of doubling his money
- JASON GINYU – Fine servant that held his own when 2nd to JILORD VIVA (5) here late last month. Looks more competitive this time and can give Raffin’s horse a run for his money
- CANTO DEI VENTI – Got back in the game late last month when 4th of 13 over 2700m here. Is confirmed over 2100m but others still easier to support
- GADGET DU GADE – Last of 13 behind CANTO DEI VENTI (7) on re-entry here 2.5 weeks ago. Preparing for a campaign under the saddle and has nothing to offer
- JUST A MIDI – Produced some good performances before being sent for a rest in late-August. Has pulled a tough number but will have been prepared for this and can get in on the action
- JEZABELLE BIE – Back under harness after finishing last but one in a 2450m Caen monte Class D on 11 October. Is here for a change of scenery and can be passed over
- COMBAT FIGHTER – Quality nordic raider making Vincennes debut after winning over 1640m in Boden 3.5 weeks ago. Starts on back line but is worth retaining all the same
- FINGER DES BORDES – Modest individual making first appearance since August. Races shod for comeback and has no love for the venue
- JOLIE SURPRISE – Justifiably well-regarded mare with one run in her since the summer break. Presents fine Vincennes credentials, when barefoot, and is not incapable of springing something of a surprise
- DEA SPRINT BAR – Quality mare with one race under her belt following a lengthy layoff. Is barefoot for first objective of the season, has form at a superior level, and should not be underestimated
Summary: As solid as a rock over recent weeks, JILORD VIVA (5) powered to victory over longer here late last month and, even though reconfigured, can confirm. Eric Raffin will still want to be wary of the tenacious JASON GINYU (6) who ran 2nd to him that day, and the reconfigured NINEPOINTS LASSE (2) who is hard to knock when focused. ENJOY THE GAME (1) was unable to express himself here recently but is plainly in shape and can make his mark if kept out of trouble.

C8 – PRIX PIERRE PLAZEN – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Gr2 – Harness – EUR € 120,000 - GILLES GRIF – Tricky type that opened his Vincennes account in a 2100m Class B here before faulting in a Gr.3 under these conditions. JMB stays faithful and will be optimistic of putting things right
- MUST ATOUT – Encouraged in a Class A here before being eliminated in a Gr.3 under these conditions 10 days ago, and will have few friends
- MAESTRO RIVER – Has ability but has been eliminated as often as not and others easier to trust
- MAGIC MAN – Gr.1-placed colt making first start since running 4th in a Gr.2 over course and distance 2.5 months ago. Has bags of ability and it will not be long before he comes good
- MONZON NORMAND – Looked rather ordinary on re-entry when eliminated in Gr.2 Prix Victor Regis here on 24 October. Is not devoid of ability but may just need another outing
- MAGNUM DU CHOQUEL – Runner-up, at 159-1, to MACK DE BLARY (9) in Criterium des 3 Ans but failed to confirm when eliminated in Prix Victor Regis, and is unlikely to spring any surprises
- MAITRE JACQUES – Eliminated when going well in Criterium des 3 Ans before running reassuring 2nd to MACK DE BLARY (9) in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Victor Regis on 24 October, and with application will be no soft touch
- METEORE DE SIMM – Impressive winner, on comeback, of a monte Gr.2 over course and distance late last month. Has never disappointed over 2700m here, in either code, and a place in the frame is well within his reach
- MACK DE BLARY – Winner of all 4 starts since returning to competition in August. Inherited, but still merited, success in Criterium des 3 Ans before easily confirming in 2175m Gr.2 Prix Victor Regis on 24 October, and can make it 5 on the trot
- GINOSTRABLIGGI – Well-travelled, high-class colt taking first Vincennes steps after securing the Paolo e Orsino Orsi Mangelli at San Siro on 1 November. Gabriele Gelormini in the bike once more and will have his sights set on another success
Summary: There is quite the treat in store for us here as we witness Thierry Duvaldestin’s somewhat fortunate Criterium des 3 Ans winner MACK DE BLARY (9) being pitted against the Philippe Allaire-trained Italian wonder, GINOSTRABLIGGI (10), who makes his Vincennes bow shod after securing a Gr.1 in Milan earlier in the month. MAITRE JACQUES (7) got back in the game when 2nd in the Gr.2 Prix Victor Regis and Alexandre Abrivard is unlikely to let the opportunity to pass him by. Seen more often than not in the monte code, METEORE DE SIMM (8) has nevertheless proven himself at this level and Mathieu Mottier will be legitimately eyeing a spot on the podium.

C9 – PRIX D’AIGUES MORTES – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 56,000 - CHESTNUT (SWE) – Returns to Vincennes after winning over 2140m at home in Solvalla 3.5 weeks ago. Goes over any distance and even from the inside can make this his own
- INTELLO DE CHENU – In the frame in 4 of last 5 starts, latterly 3rd in a 2850m Laval Class D 9 days ago. Is well in behind the car, with Yoann Lebourgeois in the bike, and can play a small role
- BAYARD (GER) – Back under harness after losing his action in a 2875m Enghien monte Class C 3 weeks ago. Barefoot this time but still not a concern
- HERMES D’ECROVILLE – Out of the picture in all 3 starts since the summer rest and will need to get his house in order
- IGGYPOP D’HERFRAIE – Got back in the winners’ circle at Cabourg before running 2nd in a Class D over track and trip late last month. Handed a good draw and will be competitive at the business end of the race
- FREEDOM (NOR) – Runner-up over track and trip in September before coming 4th in a Beaumont Class D last month. Starts in front here, with Eric Raffin reining, and will be no easy touch
- IVANA DES RACQUES – Gave a good account of herself before being eliminated in a 2700m Class D here on 21 September. Goes barefoot as she was when 3rd over track and trip 8 days earlier, however the draw will not help her cause
- CHEMAR – Useful Italian raider with a decent Vincennes record. Has won twice over 2100m here, races barefoot for his first objective of the winter meeting and must not be overlooked
- MISTER INVICTUS – Hardy individual with decent aptitude for both codes. Has been showing his form under the saddle and can get in on the action if Theo Duvaldestin keeps him focused
- IERMES DE GUEZ – Never far from faulting but is a quality element. Unsure of stride when 6th behind IGGYPOP D’HERFRAIE (5) here late last month, and has pulled a tough number, but with application could well ruffle some feathers
- DARLINGTON FAME – Respectable but never dangerous 7th of 14 in a Class E under these conditions last Monday. On back line and is not about to spice things up
- HIATUS – Modest individual that has made no impact for some time and is not about to change his ways
- MASTER OF ZON – Quality Scandinavian type but has yet to take to French conditions and is not an obvious choice
- SIDNEY CELEBER – 11th of 13 over course and distance before disappointing again at Reims. Has placed just once in 5 Vincennes starts and is not about to create an upset
- NEO TURBO – Easy winner over course and distance on 21 September before confirming over 2850m here a week later. Alexandre Abrivard would have preferred a better draw but could still pull off the hat-trick
Summary: So productive was he during the last winter meeting, CHESTNUT (SWE) (1) has come south once more, clearly in good shape, and can get straight down to business. Compatriot NEO TURBO (15) did not pull the best of numbers but he was won 4 of his last 5, including under these conditions, and looks a leading contender once more. Consistently in the thick of things when barefoot, FREEDOM (NOR) (6) has excelled over 2100m here this year and can again finish close. IGGYPOP D’HERFRAIE (5) turned a corner this autumn and a repeat of his latest performance would see him challenge for a place on the podium.

- ISBA DU VIVIER – In cracking shape since returning from a spell, latterly 3rd of 14, a place behind GRAHIKA (6), in a 2850m Class E over the inner track on 7 October. Is the better of the 2 however and has every chance of exacting revenge
- IKYTA DE LA VALLEE – Disappointing in both codes since the summer and would be preferred barefoot. Ignore
- HUELVA DUPEROUZEL – Made a respectable monte debut here in September. Has since had a harness freshener and should be good enough to finish in the mix
- IQUITO PLANCHETTE – Has done nothing noteworthy under harness since May and returns to his weaker discipline with shoes off and a prayer
- GRAHIKA – Made a fine return to the code on 7 October when 2nd over 2850m of the short course. Damien Bonne aboard once again and a place in the frame is well within her capacity
- GREYSON – 11th of 17 on re-entry in a Pontchateau harness Class E on 1 October. Has made no waves under the saddle since December 2023 and will have nothing to offer
- IN LOVE REGLISSE – Returns to the ridden code after tuning up under harness here late last month. Seldom disappoints under the saddle and is unlikely to start now. First 5
- IDEAL DU NOYER – Returned to competition under harness at Vitre a month ago. Regularly makes his presence felt, is proven under these conditions, and will generate some interest
- HAS DE COEUR – Very much at home at Vincennes, and has a harness return run in him. Has a lot going for him on monte bow and can win this if he stays focused
- IDEM JIHEM – Respectable but not the most dynamic of horses. Has never shown much aptitude for the discipline and can be passed over
- IMELDA – Quality mare with excellent ridden credentials. Enjoys a terrific engagement and Camille Levesque will be keen to take advantage. Chance
Summary: At 8 years of age, the battle-hardened HAS DE COEUR (10) takes his first monte steps in public, sporting a new configuration, with Eric Raffin in the irons, and looks thoroughly capable of bringing home the bacon. He will be opposed though by the dependably performant and barefoot IMELDA (12) who benefits from a very good entry, and the excellent ISBA DU VIVIER (2) who will be out to turn the tables on GRAHIKA (6) who had her measure over the inner course recently.

- MANUSCRIT – Out of a two time winning mare called Digne De Carmont. He is by It’s Gino and could well be absolutely anything. Good chance

Summary: MALTE DE SOLZEN (1) caught the eye when running an absolute cracker on debut which was at Argentan over 2500m in early October and with natural improvement off that run, might be hard to beat. Possible banker. MEDELICE (6) finished back in 6th place on debut but that was some time ago back in May and will more than likely need this come back run but in saying that can race fresh, well and place. - MAGNIFIX DU MOULIN – Caught the eye when posting an attractive debut over 2500m at Argentan finishing 3rd and with natural improvement, should win
- MARVELOUS DRAGONES – Finished way back in 10th at Nantes over 2400m on the 1st of this month and never made any impression and serious improvement is required. Pass by
