French Selections Sunday 21st

R1 VINCENNES [L-H]

C1 – PRIX DE GAMBAIS – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class D – Mounted – EUR € 40,000

  1. LEELY DE BLARY – Made a fine monte debut late last month when close 2nd over the inner track. Takes on a better bunch this time but is still worth keeping an eye on
  2. LUTECE D’ELA – Monte debutante with just one race under her belt since the break. Has shown ample ability in the other code and could pleasantly surprise first time out
  3. LOUISIANE KAT – Returns to the ridden code after a pair of harness fresheners. Has shown little aptitude for the discipline and is not about to spring any surprises
  4. LELIA FRANCE – 5th behind LUXUEUSE DANICA (7) in a Class D over track and trip on 24 November. Has yet to reach her spring form but sports a new configuration and it is only a matter of time. First 5
  5. LALIGA DEL PHEDO – Useful individual whose Chartres performance can be ignored. Placed on her only start over course and distance and is unlikely to be far off the mark
  6. LAURENCIA BELLA – Capable on a good day but below-par in last 2. Races barefoot, with Paul Ploquin aboard this time, but still not a priority
  7. LUXUEUSE DANICA – 2nd under these conditions on 24 November before failing to deliver 2 weeks ago. Is plainly better than that though and will be expected to bounce back
  8. LAVALLOISE GIRL – Ran away with a Class E over course and distance before coming 4th in better company on 24 November. Front pads have been added to the equation and, if allowed to express herself, can win her 2nd race of the meeting
  9. LUCIA PERRINE – Has merit but tends to show more over shorter here and can be passed over
  10. LUNA PARK – Lost her action on return to the discipline here on 6 December. Not the most dependable of horses but has ample ability, enjoys a good entry, and will have her chances if Andrea Roussel keeps her trotting
Summary: Brilliant winner over course and distance in late-October, LAVALLOISE GIRL (8) failed to confirm late last month, but sports a new configuration and Eric Raffin will be hoping she can run to her true mark. LUTECE D’ELA (2) takes her first competitive steps under the saddle and will be reunited with Benjamin Rochard. Reliability may not be her strong suit but LUNA PARK (10) has also been freshly reconfigured and, with application, should not disappoint. LUXUEUSE DANICA (7) beat Raffin’s filly in late-November and should again acquit herself competitively.

    C2 – PRIX DE TARBES – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 35,000
  11. LUCKY MESLOIS – Drops marginally in category after running 7th in a Class D over 2700m. Should not be too hastily-judged and looks throughly capable of finishing close this time
  12. LION DES ISLES – Hardy sort with decent Vincennes references and goes well when barefoot. Nicely-placed on the front line and has a decent chance of challenging for a place in the picture
  13. LORD SUN DRALIAM – Delicate sort that pleased twice at Nantes before being eliminated here on 28 November. Would prefer a more even surface but in current condition is easy to like for a minor place cheque
  14. LUTIN DES ARRIS – Won 2 in a row before failing to deliver behind LUCKY MESLOIS (1) in a 2700m Class D here on 18 November. Benefits from a good draw but others still preferred
  15. LETIKALIN – Finished superbly to come 2nd in a 2850m Class E here 12 days ago. Paul Ploquin will appreciate the draw and is not about to let the side down
  16. LATINO PURA VIDA – Unremarkable type that was well-beaten over 2700m here last Wednesday. Eric Raffin in the bike this time but still not a priority
  17. LORD DE BRION – Eliminated in a 2700m Class D here on 18 November. Has otherwise shown considerable flair when barefoot and is easy to fancy for the win
  18. L’AMIRAL DARLING – 6th behind LUCKY MESLOIS (1) in a 2700m Class D here early last month. Has had ample time to get back in shape and will not be far off the mark if Romain Derieux positions him early
  19. LITTLE DRAGON – Unexceptional trotter that finished last of 11 in a Class E over course and distance a month back. Forced to start wide on front line this time and will have few takers
  20. LET IT SNOW – Close 2nd in a 2700m Class E here on 24 November. Consistently in the thick of things when applied and, despite the draw, cannot be ruled out
  21. LIBRE PENSEUR MEEK – Eliminated in 5 straight before running 5th behind LETIKALIN (5) here 12 days ago. Has never produced the goods in the day’s configuration and will not be troubling the judge
  22. LUDIVER DES VAUX – Delicate type that has yet to lose his maiden tag after 40 career starts and has no realistic chance
  23. LE REVE DE CAHOT – Like a horse transformed since switching to his current configuration, winning 3 for 3 and latterly over the inner course. Has worked his way nicely up the category-ladder and a 4th straight success is not out of the question
  24. LUMINEUX – Pleased here more than once last winter but has looked ordinary since his return to competition and can be passed over
  25. LORD OF WIND – Useful sort preparing for a campaign in the other code and will have nothing to contribute
  26. LED ZEP VET – Has yet to deliver over 2100m here but is serious on the whole. Sports a new configuration but the draw will do him no favours
Summary: Runner-up under these conditions in early-November, LORD DE BRION (7) did not enjoy the most harmonious of trips a fortnight later. He excels when barefoot though and, if applied, can return to winning ways. He will however be pitted against 2nd row starter LE REVE DE CAHOT (13) who makes his main-track bow on a 4-timer. LUCKY MESLOIS (1) is better than his latest result would imply and should not be too inconvenienced by the draw. LION DES ISLES (2) has a race under his belt after 3 months off, is barefoot this time, and with Alexandre Abrivard reining will be afforded every chance.

    C3 – PRIX DE MONTBRISON – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class C – Mounted – EUR € 53,000
  27. JANTARA DESBOIS – 2nd in a Class E over course and distance on 11 December but the step up in category may be a step too far
  28. JAMES OF CARLY – Has come completely off the boil over recent weeks, making no impression in a Class D earlier in the month, and is by some margin the weakest link
  29. JASMINE DE NEUVY – Ran 3rd under these conditions in mid-October but failed to repeat a month later over 2175m here, and can be passed over
  30. JOSS AIMEF – Made up for November blip when 3rd in a harness Class D over course and distance last weekend. Returns to the code for which he has shown considerable ability and can challenge for a step on the podium
  31. JOSELITO DU VIVIER – Has taken to the monte discipline like a duck to water, winning 2 for 2. Goes left-handed this time but still looks a serious player
  32. JADE DE CASTELLE – Honest mare that has no put a foot wrong under the saddle for past 6 months. Goes barefoot for first time in 18 months and will have a reasonable chance of making first 5
  33. JUPITER DU CORTA – Has not once finished out of the first 2 under the saddle when applied and, on good behaviour, should be able to win a race of this nature
  34. JUNIOR BERDIERE – In the frame in 2 of last 3 , most recently 2nd in a Chartres Class E on 25 November, but in this company looks a minor place chance at best
  35. JOUVENCE DE CAREL – Has raced just twice under the saddle, placing once. Has harness form in this class and with Mathieu Mottier in the irons can bring the fight to JUPITER DU CORTA (7)
  36. JESTA BUISSONAY – Shod to preference following a pair of fresheners. Not always the most dependable but enjoys a 50 percent win-rate under the saddle and must not be underestimated
Summary: Reunited with Eric Raffin after freshening up under harness, JUPITER DU CORTA (7) put in a valiant effort behind the good Jacaranda here in late-October, and is in with a realistic shout of winning this. Opposition will take the form of the complicated but talented JOUVENCE DE CAREL (9) who receives a Mathieu Mottier ride for her monte comeback, and the reconfigured JOSELITO DU VIVIER (5) who is undefeated in 2 ridden starts. JOSS AIMEF (4) has not once finished out of the frame in 4 monte starts, sports a fresh formula, and will be no soft touch.
    SELECTIONS

    C4 – PRIX TENOR DE BAUNE-AMERIQUE RACES Q4 – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Gr1 – Harness – EUR € 240,000
  37. MASERATI HALL – Swedish raider making first appearance for 2 months. Is barefoot for the occasion but appears to be biting off more than he can chew
  38. KLINGER (NOR) – Moderate sort with better references under the saddle here. Runs for reasons of conditioning and can be ruled out
  39. POWWOW – Has not been seen out since running 3rd of 10 in Yonkers International Trot on 13 September. Is barefoot for re-entry but still not a priority
  40. CHARRON – Quality Norwegian individual that ran 3rd to JAZZMAN (GER) (6) in a Gr.3 over course and distance 2 weeks ago. Appears to be taking on too much this time though
  41. ICEBREAKER (DEN) – Serious Danish sort that enjoyed a good introduction to Vincennes, coming 3rd in a Gr.3 under these conditions a month back. Runs barefoot this time and has a reasonable chance of getting a look in
  42. JAZZMAN (GER) – Returned to winning ways a fortnight ago when comfortably winning a Gr.3 under these conditions, but at this level is unlikely to make any waves
  43. KAMEHAMEHA – Won a Nantes Gr.3 before running 6th in Gr.2 GNT Final 3 weeks ago, but in this class of race will have too much to do
  44. KANTO AVIS – Disappointing since winning a Gr.2 here last June. Goes barefoot after finishing 8th in race of reference, but others still preferred
  45. KSAR – 5th in Prix Doynel de Saint-Quentin late last month before repeating in a Gr.3 a week ago. Has placed 3 times at Gr.1 level, but looks a minor place chance at best
  46. KING OPERA – Dependable sort that finished 4th to FAME AND GLORY(SE) (17) in 29 November race of reference. Has ground to make up but should not be overlooked
  47. IMMORTAL DOC – Runner-up to FAME AND GLORY(SE) (17) in 29 November race of reference before putting in an excellent Bourbonnais finish 2 weeks ago. Is better than his 7th place would suggest and is unlikely to be going home empty-handed
  48. EPIC KRONOS – Classy individual that won a Gr.1 in October 2024 on his first Vincennes start. Should not be condemned for his Bretagne elimination and Paul Ploquin will be determined to put things right and book his place in the Prix d’Amerique line-up
  49. CROWN (USA) – Useful nordic raider that ran 3rd in Critérium Continental this time last year. Respectable 8th in Prix du Bourbonnais and will not be available at 84-1 this time
  50. EXECUTIV EK – Serious element that seems to be getting better with age. Ran 3rd in Gr.2 Prix Marcel Laurent early last month and although unlikely to win this should nevertheless finish thereabouts
  51. KEEP GOING – Made up for some poor luck in Prix de Bretagne when 2nd in Prix du Bourbonnais a fortnight ago. Has no older horses to contend with this time and, barefoot again, can play a leading role
  52. KRACK TIME ATOUT – Sent for a spell after winning the Criterium in September, and has a pair of conditioners under his belt. Has won 3 Gr.1s over course and distance and must be respected accordingly
  53. FAME AND GLORY(SE) – Terrifically talented type that won Gr.2 Prix Doynel de Saint-Quentin 3 weeks ago on first start since September 2024. Will have progressed for the run and has every chance of repeating
  54. KOCTEL DU DAIN – A veritable steamroller when barefoot and focused. Lost his action in Gr.2 Prix Doynel de Saint-Quentin 3 weeks ago, but David Thomain knows him well and will be keen to put things right
Summary: Held in high regard by his trainer, EPIC KRONOS (12) was not the most fortunate in the Prix de Bretagne in mid-November, but has had time to recalibrate at home in Sweden, has been freshly-reconfigured, and can win this. He is going to face a stiff test though against compatriot FAME AND GLORY(SE) (17) who comfortably won the Gr.2 Prix Doynel de Saint-Quentin late last month, and KEEP GOING (15) who booked his Prix Amérique ticket when runner-up in the Prix du Bourbonnais. Heavyweight in the 5yo division, KOCTEL DU DAIN (18) is hard to fault when focused. Barefoot for the first time since winning the Critérium des 5 Ans, KRACK TIME ATOUT (16) faces his first objective of the meeting and Franck Nivard will be legitimately expecting a big performance.
    SELECTIONS
    EPIC KRONOS (12) – FAME AND GLORY(SE) (17) – KEEP GOING (15) – KOCTEL DU DAIN (18)
    C5 – PRIX DE LENS – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class D – Mounted – EUR € 46,000
  55. NAPOLI (HOL) – 2nd of 8 on monte debut in Victoria Park 9 days ago but is being aimed a bit too high this time
  56. VELTEN RIESLING – New to the discipline and new to Vincennes, but is clearly a very capable trotter and the engagement of Guillaume Martin will only work to his advantage. Place chance
  57. KANGCHENJUNGA – Has demonstrated decent aptitude for the monte code, most recently 3rd to KLASSIC DREAM (5) in a 2175m Class E here on 10 December. Has consistency on his side but is unlikely to shake things up this time around
  58. KADOR JOSSELYN – Quickly eliminated on monte bow here on 10 December. Has been completely off the boil since returning to competition and can be passed over
  59. KLASSIC DREAM – Put a pair of eliminations behind him to clinch victory in a 2175m Class E here on 10 December. Is barefoot this time and, if focused, should logically contest the finish
  60. KISS WOOD – Pleasantly surprising 2nd in a 2100m harness Class D here on 24 November. Makes just 2nd appearance in the discipline but the Eric Raffin-factor cannot be ignored
  61. KANSAS DU HOCTI – Fine servant in this branch of the business, most recently 3rd in a Class D under these conditions 3 weeks ago. Is unlikely to win this but is easy to like for a first-5 payout
  62. ENAOZ – Occasionally a handful but has been showing his form under harness. Mathieu Mottier aboard for ridden debut and will be no easy touch if his charge keeps his action together
  63. KWARTZ SIBEY – Debuts in the discipline after a poor effort over shorter here early this month. Has been reconfigured for the occasion but others still preferred
  64. KOALA – Races barefoot following a pair of much-needed conditioners. Won under these conditions last winter and although not a leading contender is still worth retaining
  65. KHEOPS TURGOT – Won under these conditions in June before being sent for a break. Will have come on for his recent run here and looks the one to beat this time
Summary: Superbly-engaged at the limit of earnings, KHEOPS TURGOT (11) has not once failed to deliver in his 3 monte starts to date and Alexandre Abrivard can be forgiven for being bullish. That being said, he will be keeping a keen eye on a barefoot KLASSIC DREAM (5) who opened his ridden account here just 11 days ago, and in-form German raider VELTEN RIESLING (2) who will be barefoot for his own monte bow. ENAOZ (8) switches discipline for the first time, having posted 1’10″8 here in September; he will be barefoot following a good Montegiorgio conditioner and must be taken seriously.
    SELECTIONS
    KHEOPS TURGOT (11) – KLASSIC DREAM (5) – VELTEN RIESLING (2) – ENAOZ (8)
    C6 – PRIX DE MORGAT – 2850m (a2m) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 49,000
  66. IDEALE D’ARCEY – A complete write-off since imposing at La Capelle in September 2024 and is not about to spring a surprise
  67. JONGLEUSE DE BRY – Serious mare starting for first time since April. Stays shod for comeback and best to wait
  68. HILKA DE BERTRANGE – Produced a fine performance to finish 3rd in an Amiens Class E earlier in the month, but would have better prospects at a lower level
  69. JALNA GIRL – Tricky mare that was quickly eliminated in a 2700m Class E here 10 days ago. Is not short of ability and can go close if Eric Raffin succeeds in harnessing it
  70. JET GIRL – Produced her best main-track performance when 2nd in a 2100m amateurs Class G 10 days ago. Will be fully-fit by now and is unlikely to let the side down. First 5
  71. IRMA DE L’ECLAIR – 2nd of 17 in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class G 3 weeks ago. Benjamin Rochard in the bike this time but still no more than a minor place chance
  72. JEUNE ORANGE COTON – Lost her action early but still managed to secure a 2700m Class E here on 13 November. Enjoys a good entry on front line and, if applied, can again finish close
  73. HELLA DE JANA – Winner over course and distance last year but has done little of note in last half of 2025 and is unlikely to start now
  74. JORIA MESLOISE – Oddly below-par 4th behind JOCELYNE (11) in a Class E under these conditions a fortnight ago. Sports 4 pads for the first time but must still be considered dangerous
  75. JUSTICIA SMART – Drops in category after running 2nd in a 2700m Class D here on 24 November. Is clearly close to winning another and, going barefoot again, will be no easy touch. Claim
  76. JOCELYNE – Beat JORIA MESLOISE (9) when 2nd in a Class E over track and trip 2 weeks ago. Has already won twice this term and will be competitive for a 3rd
Summary: Second-row starters appear to have the advantage here and the line of last month’s Prix de Brassac-les-Mines looks the one to follow. JUSTICIA SMART (10) put in an excellent finish to come 2nd at 18-1 that day and will not be sent out at such generous odds this time around. Respectively 4th and 5th on that occasion, JORIA MESLOISE (9) and JOCELYNE (11) look more competitive and the latter’s latest run augurs well for her chances of exacting revenge. JALNA GIRL (4) benefits from a 25m head-start and with Eric Raffin reining is unlikely to be far off the mark.
    SELECTIONS
    JUSTICIA SMART (10) – JOCELYNE (11) – JORIA MESLOISE (9) – JALNA GIRL (4)
    C7 – CRITERIUM CONTINENTAL-AMERIQUE RACES Q3 – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Gr1 – Harness – EUR € 240,000
  77. LOMBOK JIEL – Has raced just twice since coming 3rd in the Criterium, most recently runner-up to LOVINO BELLO (9) in Gr.2 Prix Octave Douesnel over 2700m here 2 weeks ago. Is barefoot for the occasion and is sufficiently well-placed to give this a good go
  78. FIRST OF MIND – By no means disgraced when 5th to LOVINO BELLO (9) in Gr.2 Prix Octave Douesnel here a fortnight ago. Breaks in front, has Gr.1 references under these conditions, and cannot be ruled out
  79. FAR WISE AS – Capable colt but was never threatening when eliminated in race of reference. Benefits from a fine draw but latest form does little to inspire confidence
  80. FALCO KILLER GAR – Eliminated in both starts of the meeting but was competitive on both occasions. Benefits from an excellent draw and, if applied, will be no pushover
  81. LA YUCA – Simply superb when winning the 4yo Breeders’ Crown in Eskilstuna in mid-November. Takes on the colts this time but has been handed a good draw and Paul Ploquin will be eager to make hay
  82. BULLET THE BLUESKY – Quality element with good speed and fine credentials to back him up. Is well-placed on the front line and should prove competitive when it matters. Place chance
  83. LIZA JOSSELYN – High-calibre filly that failed to replicate her Marcel Laurent when 2nd in Gr.2 Prix Ariste Hémard 2 weeks ago. Excels over these shorter trips and has the wherewithal to win this
  84. FRANK GIO – One of the best 4 year-olds on the continent and seldom disappoints. Is barefoot for first time over 2100m here and looks main threat to JMB’s wonder-filly
  85. LOVINO BELLO – Comfortable winner of Gr.2 Prix Octave Douesnel over 2700m here 2 weeks ago. Is a Gr.1 winner over course and distance and in spite of a wide draw still looks a serious proposition
  86. LONDON – Gr.1 winner earlier in the year but has not been as sharp since. Lost her action in Gr.2 Prix Ariste Hémard a fortnight back and cannot be considered a priority
  87. LOVE LETTER – Good dual-discipline filly that came 3rd, a place behind LIZA JOSSELYN (7), in Gr.2 Prix Ariste Hémard 2 weeks ago. A repeat, however, seems most improbable
  88. FREE TIME JEPSON – Generous transalpine colt that won his only start at the venue. Has not been seen out for over 2 months, takes a notable hike in class, and even though starting on the back line, is still worth monitoring
  89. LEARN TO FLY – No slouch on a good day but was disappointing in the race of reference and from the back line will have nothing to contribute
  90. ONANA BOKO – Eliminated in a Class D here 2.5 weeks ago, on first start for new stable, and has no possible chance
  91. PHANTOM EXPRESS – Sprang a 26-1 surprise when 3rd in Prix Octave Douesnel 2 weeks ago. Bjorn Goop would have appreciated a better draw, and is unlikely to create an upset
  92. LARA DU GOUTIER – Produced a 33-1 surprise when 4th behind LIZA JOSSELYN (7) in Gr.2 Prix Ariste Hémard 2 weeks ago. Has pulled a tough number though and chances of a repeat seem limited
  93. LOUVE DE REVE D’OR – Unremarkable filly that was eliminated in Gr.2 Prix Ariste Hémard 2 weeks ago. Has nothing going for her here and can be comfortably ignored
Summary: A terrific race in prospect, with a number of horses in contention, but it is difficult not to favour LIZA JOSSELYN (7) who beat a host of 5 year-olds in the Prix Marcel Laurent early last month. Barefoot for the occasion, she can finally secure that elusive first Gr.1. Jean-Michel Bazire will still need to be mindful of FRANK GIO (8) who has demonstrated quite the liking for the Vincennes main track, and the widely-drawn LOVINO BELLO (9) who was particularly impressive in the Prix Octave Douesnel a fortnight ago. BULLET THE BLUESKY (6) is new to the venue but seldom disappoints and will not be far from the action if he takes to the new conditions. LOMBOK JIEL (1) has talent in spades and warrants respect.

    C8 – PRIX DE JUVIGNAC – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class F – Harness – EUR € 36,000
  94. KENTUCKY SCARLET – Unexceptional sort that finished last of 11 behind KIWI DU BISSON (3) in a Nantes Class F on 1 December and can expect to have few friends
  95. KORIOLIS DE ZIETTE – Reliability not his strong suit but ran encouraging 5th of 16 in an Angers Class F a fortnight ago. Eric Raffin reins this time but still not an obvious choice
  96. KIWI DU BISSON – Made up for Graignes blip when 3rd of 11 in a Nantes Class F on 1 December, but still has more to find
  97. KAPORAL DE VIETTE – Moderate individual that ran 3rd in an Amiens Class F 12 days ago. Faces a much tougher challenge here and is unlikely yo spice things up
  98. KART HAUFOR – Made short work of a 2150m Mauquenchy Class F on 30 November. Has never disappointed in current configuration and a repeat is distinctly possible
  99. KING OF RACE – Modest trotter that has done nothing noteworthy for some time and is not about to start now
  100. KIR DU BOULAY – Unconvincing in either start since the break. Alexandre Abrivard in the bike this time but others easier to trust
  101. KILLER DE BEAULIEU – Occasionally does his connections proud but not in last 3 starts. Sports front pads and can be confidently ruled out
  102. KING STEED – Tricky but talented element that ran better in a Class E here on 29 November than his 8th place would suggest. Races barefoot this time and Gabriele Gelormini will be determined to set the record straight
  103. KALISCO PLANCHETTE – Endured all sorts of woes in a Class E under these conditions on 29 November. Paul Ploquin has been drafted in for the occasion and will be expected to give KART HAUFOR (5) a run for his money
  104. KAPI D’ARPENT – Left a good impression when 2nd in a Mauquenchy Class F on 27 November. Top driver in the bike this time and debuts in the capital with a good hand to play
  105. KAMARO – Imposed at Saint-Galmier on re-entry before coming 7th in 29 November race of reference. Is unlikely to cause an upset but is not to be overlooked either
  106. KANTISSIME WINNER – Has just the one run under his belt following a lengthy absence but has previously shown considerable potential and does not travel to Paris to see the sights
  107. KANNABIS JELOCA – Won 5 on the trot before coming 3rd in a Class F at Le Croise-Laroche last Monday. Faces a different kind of test here but is ideally-entered and will be competitive for a place on the podium
  108. KOLBY DE CLARAFLOR – Showed encouraging signs at Maure-de-Bretagne on 2 November but failed to confirm when 6th in race of reference. Sports a new formula but others still easier to back
  109. KROONER D’ORION – Good, consistent trotter that has produced some competitive performances since his summer spell. Matthieu Abrivard in the bike but in this category will have too much to do
Summary: KART HAUFOR (5) may not be the easiest of horses to handle but he stormed up at Mauquenchy 3 weeks ago and with application can double his money. David Thomain can still expect to feel the heat from the in-form KALISCO PLANCHETTE (10) who was particularly unlucky here a day earlier, and the well-engaged KANNABIS JELOCA (14) who has been like a horse reborn since starting to race barefoot. KAPI D’ARPENT (11) makes his Vincennes bow after impressing in the provinces and the engagement of Benjamin Rochard will do his prospects no disservice.

  110. MAURICETTE BLUE – Starts for the fist time since flopping in an Angers Class D on 1 October and is unlikely to have much to contribute
  111. MERRY – Gave a fine account on comeback here 2 weeks ago when 2nd in a 2100m Class D. At this level though is not about to set off any fireworks
  112. MACANA MONNERIE – Quality filly that was beaten only by a very good horse here 9 days ago. Has yet to open her Vincennes account but appears to have a good opportunity on this occasion
  113. MOUSKIE DE GUEZ – Talented filly that has come into herself this year, most recently 3rd, a place behind MACANA MONNERIE (3), in a 2700m Class B on 12 December. Is plainly on the way back up and should prove competitive at the business end of the race
  114. MY QUALITA PIYA – Eliminated more often than not but ran reassuring 2nd to MILA DES COUPERIES (7) in a 2700m Class B here on 1 December. Paul Ploquin reins this time and will be in a position to finish close as long as she keeps trotting
  115. MARION D’ATOUT – Tricky type but has previously raced and placed at this level. Lacklustre 5th behind MOUSKIE DE GUEZ (4) in a 2700m Class A here a month ago though and others easier to back
  116. MILA DES COUPERIES – Picked up on 1 December where she left off 3 months earlier, winning at Vincennes, although this time on the main track. Has so much untapped potential that is is hard to envisage her being bested
  117. MY LADY CASTELLE – Good 4th on comeback in a 2700m Gr.3 but bit off more than she could chew in a Gr.2 in mid-November. Is better than most of the field and Mathieu Mottier will be eager to prove the point
  118. MARIE OH FREDLAU – Imposed at Enghien and Argentan before coming 3rd in a 2850m Gr.3 here 3 weeks ago. Faces a different challenge this time but, in present form, is hard to ignore
  119. MARILOU – Excellent earlier in the year but has failed to impress since being campaigned at a higher level, and is not a concern
Summary: An excellent future prospect that gets better with every run, MILA DES COUPERIES (7) imposed over 2700m on her re-entry here early this month and, having come on for the run, can double her money. MACANA MONNERIE (3) got back in the game here recently and looks competitive once more.
