R1 VINCENNES [L-H]

C1 – PRIX DE PAVILLY – 2175m (a1m1/4) – Class B – Mounted – EUR € 52,000

  1. MAHARADJAH ROYAL – Finished 3rd in a Class E over 2750m at Cabourg on 16 December. Might not be suited to the drop in distance
  2. MENTALIST AR – Unplaced in a Class A over 2700m at this track on 21 September. Returns from a break and is not in the best of form
  3. MELANCHOLY MAN – Won a Class D over 2175m at this track on 5 December. Must have some sort of a chance after that last victory
  4. GILLES GRIF – Unplaced in a Gr 3 over 2100m at this track on 13 December. He is a speedy sort and dropping in class, and in his first run under the saddle, he looks a lively threat
  5. MINDELO – Ran 5th in a Class B over 2700m at this track on 10 November. This will be his third run after a lengthy layoff but bettors still needs to be cautious
  6. MAESTRO DU VOYAGE – Finished 2nd in a Class C over 2700m at this track on 27 November. If he can stay in touch with the pace he must have a winning chance
  7. MICH D’OCCAGNES – Won a Class D over 2775m at this track on 18 November. That run came following a 63-day break and he will have freshened up well for this event
    Summary: MICH D’OCCAGNES (7) has been aimed at this race and is well prepared. He will be fresh and is coming off a win over this distance at this track. He has strong winning claims. While MAESTRO DU VOYAGE (6) comes off an excellent second last time and holds a win over MICH D’OCCAGNES (7) that was over further. GILLES GRIF (4) is loaded with speed and has the ability to run them off their feet dropping in class. MINDELO (5) is improving and could place.

  10. JANIS SHOW – Was 9th in a Class E over 2850m at Vincennes on 7 December. Has little chance on recent form. Will race unshod this time
  11. JAVA DES AUGERIES – Disqualified in a Class F over 2700m at Le Croisse-Laroche on 8 December. Looks unlikely to feature
  12. JAVA DE FOLIOT – Disqualified in a Class E over 2850m at Vincennes on 7 December. Form has been good and if in the mood she could surprise. Will race with shoes in front
  13. JAINA D’ESSARTS – Disqualified in a Class F over 2725m at Cabourg on 16 December. Disqualified for the second successive race and will be looking to get it right this time
  14. JOYCE D’AVEZE – Won a Class F over 2675m at Bordeaux-Le Bouscat on 22 December. Will find it a lot tougher in this company
  15. JEEP DE DALINE – Won a Class F over 2725m at Cabourg on 16 December. Back to best and looks ready to move up in class. Will have shoes behind
  16. DIVA STARLIGHT – Disqualified in a Class E over 2525m at Cavaillon on 19 September. If she puts it all together she could place
  17. JALNA GIRL – Ran 6th in a Class E over 2850m at Vincennes on 21 December. Down in class she should be right there at the finish. Will race unshod
  18. JAHIA DU TRIO – Won a Class F over 2825m at Le Croisse-Laroche on 15 December. Racing against her own sex in this race should work wonders for her
    Summary: JAHIA DU TRIO (11) will benefit from contesting a race only open to mares and could have a clear advantage in these ideal conditions. YES PLEASE (2) has been racing in Germany and could be the surprise package of the race. Taking on weaker opposition this time could work out well for JALNA GIRL (10) who will have a realistic chance against this field while JEEP DE DALINE (8) has started to find her old form and must have a claim.

  19. FRENCIS ZL – Disqualified in a Class D over 2850m at Vincennes on 10 June. That was her only race so far, has not run in more than six months only race and will need to prove herself. Races unshod behind
  20. LOVELY JENILOU – A reasonable 5th in a Gr 2 over 2175m at Vincennes on 4 November. That was a slightly better effort but based on overall form she will need to show more
  21. LOLO DU VELO – Came back from a 122-day break to finish 2nd in a Class D over 2175m at Vincennes on 4 November. He has excellent form and is expected to improve further
  22. LEONARDO DE LOU – Ran well enough when 5th in a Class C over 2700m at Vincennes on 7 December. That was after a 61-day break and he will benefit from the drop in trip. Has place prospects
  23. LE PRIEURE – Looked good when running 3rd in a Class B over 2850m at Vincennes on 21 November. Won his penultimate starts over this course and distance and must be a strong contender
  24. LE VOYOU D’ALMO – Ran 8th in a Class B over 2850m at Vincennes on 14 December. That was his second run back from a 175-day layoff and should be close to his best. Will benefit from the shorter trip
  25. LUCAS – Disqualified in a Class B over 2850m at Vincennes on 21 November. Form has not been great and and he is best overlooked
  26. LAUREATE DRY – Disappointed again when 7th in a Class B over 2850m at Vincennes on 14 December. He will try racing under the saddle this time so there could be some improvement. Will race unshod behind
  27. LAMBADA DU GOUTIER – Did well against some of the best around when 8th in a Gr 1 over 2700m at Vincennes on 14 December. Ran 2nd in a Gr 2 in his penultimate run and should be competitive
  28. LOTUS ZEN – A decent 2nd in a Class B over 2850m at Vincennes on 21 November. That was a great return after a 97-day break and there should be more to come from this lightly raced gelding
    Summary: There was a lot to like about the manner in which LOLO DU VELO (3) returned to racing when finishing runner-up. He is expected to make further improvement and looks the one to beat. LE PRIEURE (5) ran well last time and will appreciate the return to the trip over which he won two runs back. Lightly raced LOTUS ZEN (10) continues to improve while LAMBADA DU GOUTIER (9) should benefit from a drop in class.

  30. JIMMY FERRO BR – He has been racing in Germany but his last race in France was 5th in Class C over 2150m at Enghien on 10 July. Has won at this course last year and could place
  31. DEA SPRINT BAR – Returned from a 236-day layoff last time to run downfield in a Class C over 2875m at this track on 17 October. She is not without ability but could still need another run. Will race unshod
  32. NINEPOINTS LASSE – A pleasing 5th in a Class A over 2100m at Vincennes on 4 December. That was a promising performance but his best form is over shorter
  33. JAPPELOUP TURGOT – Seemed to be a touch unlucky when 8th in a Class A over 2700m at Vincennes on 8 November. He is better than that and if he gets off to a good start he has top 5 potential
  34. KILLIAM FROMENTRO – Well beaten in Gr 3 over 2700m at Vincennes on 6 December. He did a lot better in his penultimate start and it will depend on whether he can put it all together this time
  35. CHARRON – Never in the hunt last time in a Gr 1 race over 2700m at Vincennes on 21 December. However, he beat some really talented runners when 3rd in his penultimate and this Norwegian-based runner should be a factor in this race. Will race unshod in front
  36. ENJOY THE GAME – Ran 6th in a Class C over 2100m at Vincennes on 16 November. Run out of it late on that occasion and if he can find a finishing burst could prove to be a good outsider
  37. COLBERT WF – An excellent 2nd in a Class C over 2850m at Vincennes on 20 November. That was a great prep run for this race and he teams up well with Éric Raffin. A leading contender
  38. JONGLEUSE DE LUNE – An aggressive performance saw her finish 3rd in a Class B over 2875m at Vincennes on 7 December. She finished 3rd in a Gr 2 in her penultimate and has all the credentials to win a race of this nature
  39. ELEGANCE KRONOS – Came back from a 67-day break to finish unplaced in a Gr 2 over 2850m at Vincennes on 29 November. Does have some ability and if not in need of another run, could be a threat
  40. IALTO D’HERTALS – A strong 3rd in a Class D over 2850m at Vincennes on 3 November. Looks to have been saved for this race and has to have a lively chance
  41. HE AND ME – Came back from a 187-day layoff to finish 9th in a Class A over 2700m at Vincennes on 18 November. Has ability but his fitness has to be questioned. Will race fully shod
  42. JEROBOAM D’ERABLE – Winner of a Grade 3 event over 2700m at Vincennes on 10 December. Being aimed at a mounted feature and is probably using this to keep up his fitness. This is not his race
  43. GENDREEN – A decent 9th in a Gr 2 over 2875m at Vincennes on 30 November. He is better than his recent form might suggest but could find himself struggling against some top runners
    Summary: JONGLEUSE DE LUNE (10) has had four runs since coming back from a 157-day break and has improved with every race. She looks perfectly primed for this event. The runners likely to produce the strongest threat are headed up by CHARRON (7) who competed in a Gr 1 last time and placed third in a Gr 3 in his penultimate start. COLBERT WF (9), only found one too good in his last start, IALTO D’HERTALS has been prepared with this race in mind while JAPPELOUP TURGOT (5) is on the comeback trail.

  46. MARQUIS DU CHENE – Unreliable and finished 4th in class D at this course over 2700m on 12 December. Has a place chance in this line-up
  47. MILLIUM QUESNOT – Not disgraced when 5th in class C at this course over 2700m on 17 December. Needs to do more to win
  48. MOWGLY FRECA – Victorious in Class D at Beaumont-de-Lomagne over 2400m on 30 November. Unreliable but cannot be ruled out

  50. MINUS DE CHENU – Holding form and finished 4th in class D at this track over 2850m on 24 November. Could earn some minor money
  51. MIKA DE LA VALLEE – A winner last time out in Class E at this course over 2850m on 26 November. Is in decent form and can double up
  52. MILTON DU NOYER – Unbeaten in three starts, the latest in Class D at this track over 2850m on 17 June. Returns from a break and could need this run
  53. MILORD DARLING – In good shape and was 3rd in class D at this course over 2700m on 12 December. A winner in October and is not out of it
  54. MISTHOS CHRISTAL – Not reliable and finished 6th in class D over this course and distance on 5 December. Has disqualification issues but is capable of earning some money
    Summary: MARIO MASCAR (2) returned to his best with a good win at this track at the beginning of the month. He can follow up over this shorter distance. MIKA DE LA VALLEE (8) is also a last-start winner at this track, but he will be tested over this much shorter trip. MALMO DE PUCH (1) is consistent and has form over this track and trip, so must be respected for that. MILORD DARLING (10) is also in good form and can be included in calculations.

  57. GALOPIN DE BIANCA – Only modest of late and finished 5th in class E at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 2925m on 13 December. Might play a minor role
  58. GRYFFONDOR DU POLI – Disqualified in class D over this course and distance on 13 December. In very good form before that and can bounce back to score
  59. FOREVER DE PAME – Unreliable but was runner-up in class F at Marseille-Vivaux over 2650m on 4 December when barefoot. Has shown improvement and has a place chance
  60. HIATUS – Has really struggled of late and was14th in a claimer at this track over 2100m on 28 November when barefoot. Has major disqualification issues and is best watched for now
  61. FUNNY HORSE – Has struggled of late and finished 9th in class E at Rouen-Mauquenchy over 2850m on 27 November. Needs to do more to beat these rivals
  62. GAMINE DE RIBEAU – Disqualified in class D at Marseille-Vivaux over 2650m on 4 December. Has struggled of late and others are preferred
  63. GERONIMO MATICA – In good form and finished 3rd in class E at Rouen-Mauquenchy over 2850m on 27 November. Should be competitive yet again
  64. HETRE D’OURVILLE – Disqualified four times in a row, the latest in class E at Amiens over 2900m on 9 December. Remains barefoot and is capable of winning when smart
  65. HAS DE COEUR – Has only been modest and was 6th in class D at this track over 2850m on 25 November. Needs to find a few lengths to win
  66. HIPPOMENE QUESNOT – A winner last time out in Portugal over 2400m on 26 October. Tougher task this time and others are preferred
  67. CERTAINLY (SWE) – Victorious at Romme over 2140m on 25 August. Returns from a break but must be respected fot that last win and is not out of it
  68. GOODMORNING CHARLY – Not reliable and finished 8th in class D at Bordeaux-Le Bouscat over 2550m on 16 December. Returns barefoot and could earn some money
  69. FOREVER D’ARIANE – Did not show his best when 6th in class E at Cordemais over 2825m on 14 December. Unreliable and others are preferred
  70. GOLD PEJI – Needed the last run when12th in class E at Cordemais over 2825m on 14 December. Barefoot and can be a danger
    Summary: GRYFFONDOR DU POLI (4) may have faulted earlier this month over this track and trip, but he has a good record when barefoot. He is also back in a harness race and should make a bold bid for victory. GOLD PEJI (16) needed the last run and races without shoes, so expect a much better performance this time. HETRE D’OURVILLE (10) is very hard to trust but is capable of winning when staying in stride. GERONIMO MATICA (9) remains in good form and can be competitive once again.

  75. GRAND TRIO LUDOIS – Not disgraced when 5th in a class B harness race over this course and distance on 20 December. Needs to do more to beat these rivals
  76. JAZZ IN MONTREUX – Not reliable but did run well when 3rd in a Group 3 at this course over 2850m on 13 November. Can be competitive once again
  77. GAZELLE DE VAL – Not reliable and finished 10th in a Group 3 over this track and trip on 10 December. a winner back in January but others make more appeal
  78. GALA D’URFIST – Disqualified at Vincennes over 2700m on 10 December. Has major disqualification issues and is best watched for now
  79. HALICIA BELLA – Has some fair form and finished 5th in a class B mounted race at this track over 2850m on 20 November. Needs to do bit more to win this race
  80. FLEURON D’ACADIE – Unreliable and was 15th in a class B harness race over this track and trip on 20 December. Does better under the saddle but others are preferred
  81. GO OR NOT – Only modest of late and was 7th in a Group 3 over this track and trip on 10 December when barefoot. Needs to do more to beat these rivals
  82. HARMONISTA – Has only been modest of late and finished 8th in a class B mounted race at this course over 2850m on 10 November. Needs to find a few lengths to win
  83. GOLD VOICE – Holding form and finished 4th in a Group 2 at this track over 2175m on 3 November. Remains barefoot and is capable of making the frame
  84. HYMNE DU GERS – Unreliable and finished 10th in a class A harness race at this track over 2100m on 4 December. Needs to find a few lengths to win
  85. FILOU D’ANJOU – Not reliable but was 4th in a Group 3 mounted race over this course and distance on 10 December. Should contest the finish
  86. IMPALA DE VAL – Usually very competitive and was runner-up in a Group 3 mounted race over this track and trip on 10 December. Big chance
    Summary: IMPALA DE VAL (16) was beaten by a good horse over this course and distance last time out. He remains at the top of his game and can go one place better. FILOU D’ANJOU (15) is not as reliable as that rival but was not far behind him that day and can be a threat once again. JUST FOR BACK (3) races without shoes and is back in a mounted race, so would not be a surprise winner. JAZZ IN MONTREUX (6) is not reliable but is also not out of it.

    Summary: JERICHO DU RIB (8) fluffed his lines with a disqualification just over a week ago. He has a good record when barefoot and is capable of bouncing back to score. JACKSON BOY (4) remains in good form and can get involved with the finish once again. JUST A COUET (6) is better than what he has been showing of late and is a threat over this course and distance. JUSTE SNOB (7) was in good form before a disappointing last performance and is another to consider in an open-looking race.

  103. LET’S GO SMART – Disqualified last time out at this track over 2200m on 10 November. Fitter now and could get involved with the finish
  104. LIBRE SAUTONNE – In good form and finished 3rd in class F at Angers over 2350m on 8 December. Can be competitive in this line-up
  105. LOLLY STAR – Not reliable and finished 9th in class E at this course over 2700m on 25 November. Better this distance and can contest the finish
  106. LOULOUTE DE BOUERE – Disqualified in class F at Nantes over 3000m on 7 December. A winner of her penultimate start but others make more appeal
    Summary: LEXOVIENNE (5) fluffed her lines with a disqualification at this track at the beginning of the month. She was contesting the finish when faulting and can bounce back to win this lucky last race. LOLLY STAR (11) is better over this distance, so expect a much better performance from her. LET’S GO SMART (9) is fit and quite capable of being competitive this time around. LOTTA SUEDOISE (4) is coming off a good win and may well follow up.

  1. ARDEN MIST – Won on her second start over 1600m at Chantilly on December 6th in a Class 2 race. Others look more likely to score
  2. BAKLAWA – Five good runs so far, two wins, the latest two runs back in a Class 2 race in October and a 3rd at Chantilly on October 27th over 1400m in a Group 3 race. Key chance
  3. ZADE – Scored on his sole start at Deauville over 1500m in a conditions race on November 26th. Open to more improvement and is one to keep safe
  4. IKOTOFETSY – Unplaced last time in a Listed race, 4th before that over 1400m at Chantilly on October 11th in a Listed race. Unlikely to trouble the principles
  5. THE TINKER – Won over 1300m at Deauville on the PSF in a maiden on November 28th. Looks like he can keep on improving and warrants respect
  6. RENCONTRE SPORTIVE – Two 2nd placed runs of late, the latter over 1300m in a Class 2 race at Deauville on November 28th. Hard to overlook
  7. BAYOUQUEEN – Scored on debut at Bordeaux Le Bouscat by a narrow margin over 1600m in a maiden race on November 4th. Can improve and is one to consider each way
  8. LANDED – Unraced filly by Yafta, the dam won 1 race. Respected trainer although she faces a stiff task on her racecourse debut
    Summary: BAKLAWA (2) has won twice from her five starts, including a Class 2 race in early October at Toulouse, and a third on October 27th was in a Group 3 race over 1400m at Chantilly. She looks like the one to beat. THE TINKER (5) is on an upward curve and won his maiden at Deauville late last month on his second start. ZADE (3) scored on his debut at Deauville late last month and can improve from that. RENCONTRE SPORTIVE (6) ran well when second in a Class 2 race last time and can feature.

  10. AMIRAL D’AUMONT – Three unplaced runs since a win over 3000m at Saint-Cloud on September 26th in a handicap. One to pay attention to
  11. MOURAT – Got off the mark at this track over 2700m in a maiden on December 6th. He can follow up back in a handicap over a longer distance
  12. GOT MAN – Two wins of late, the latter over 3100m at Pornichet in a handicap on December 5th. Seems to be improving and he has no stamina concern

    Summary: An interesting race. LEMON TREE (12) has not won for some time now but did finish fifth in a Group 1 not long ago and is capable of victory on the French Riviera. LARGO DE CASTELLE (13) is also a quality horse and should fight out the finish. KRISTAL DREAM (8) looked good when scoring at Marseille-Vivaux in November and must be respected for that. KAPORAL VISAIS (6) is unreliable but can make the frame if in the right state of mind.

    Summary: A tricky lucky last race. KAPOOR D’OLMEN (1) has disqualification issues and did look unlucky not to finish closer last time out. He gets a narrow vote to make the balance for it and score. KALGARY (8) was a very easy winner at Marseille-Vivaux and is quite capable of doubling up despite the slight rise in grade. KHARTOUM DE LA FYE (5) races without shoes and can contest the finish this time around. KENDO JIEL (2) finished off his race nicely last time out and could also be a threat.
