R1 VINCENNES [L-H]
C1 – PRIX DE THOUARS – 2200m (a1m1/2) – Class E – Mounted – EUR € 35,000
- M’AVEZ VOUS VU – Debuts in the discipline after making no impression under harness at Nantes last month. Hind shoes off this time but still not a concern
- MARANELLO – Drops back in category after losing his action in a 2700m Class D here a fortnight ago. Races first-time barefoot and given the chance can pick up a first-5 cheque
- MID DANCER – Tricky type but has nevertheless shown potential. Ran 4th under these conditions on 12 December and the new formula should make a difference
- MISTER DU LOISIR – Never far from losing his action but has shown promise in both disciplines. Is plainly better than recent figures would suggest and could well get off the mark
- MILTON DREAM – Back under the saddle after running well-beaten 5th of 15 in a 2875m Class F at Meslay-du-Maine a fortnight ago. Stays shod for return to the code but still represents no more than a minor place prospect
- MILLENIUM JIEL – Opened monte account at first time of asking but quickly eliminated in 2 subsequent runs. Has a lot going for him here though and with application can play a leading role
- MAGUEN DAIRPET – Good youngster that has shown a liking for the monte code. Has the chance to go barefoot for the first time and the return of Antonin André may be just the ticket
- MAHARADJAH ROYAL – Showed promise in the provinces but was well-beaten here last Saturday and even with hind shoes off is unlikely to spring any surprises
- MONTGENEVE – Finished last but one behind MAHARADJAH ROYAL (8) in a Cabourg Class E on 16 December. Is nicely-entered, with a top jockey aboard, and with application can figure prominently
Summary: Already a winner in this branch of the game, MAGUEN DAIRPET (7) failed to make it around Laval early last month, but will be reunited with Antonin Andre who imposed with him at Laon and, racing first time barefoot, can bring home the bacon. Back under the saddle after being prepared in the other discipline, MISTER DU LOISIR (4) will also race unshod and the engagement of Alexis Collette will only work in his favour. The complicated MILLENIUM JIEL (6) sports front pads following a pair of clockwise eliminations and will be no soft touch if Mehdi Lelievre gets him off on the right foot. MONTGENEVE (9) may not be the most reliable of horses but he has placed in both codes and the Paul Ploquin-factor cannot be ignored.

C2 – PRIX DE NEUVILLE – 2850m (a2m) – Class D Amateur Riders – Mounted – EUR € 54,000 - HARCOURT DE PADD – Previously a good sort in this branch of the business but has done nothing noteworthy for some time and can be confidently disregarded
- HAPPY COCO – Makes first appearance under the saddle at Vincennes after an unexceptional performance at Chartres in late-November. Has shown promise though and should not be overlooked
- GOGO DES MALBERAUX – Out of the picture in 2 under harness before being trounced by HARRYBEAU DE COUET (6) in a Class E over course and distance on 10 November. Has shown little liking for the code and can be passed over
- HEAGLE ONE – Unremarkable trotter that has failed to make any impact under harness over recent months and makes his monte debut with little to offer
- GIFTOVER – 7 times a winner in 2025, most recently making it 2 on the trot. Is barefoot for his hat-trick bid and can pull it off if he first disposes of GUNNER (9)
- HARRYBEAU DE COUET – 5th to GUNNER (9) in 13 December race of reference, having won over the inner course in November. Is as generous as they get and, with application, can finish close
- HOLLYWOOD GIRL – Ran 2nd over course and distance before coming 3rd to GUNNER (9) in a 2700m Class D here 2.5 weeks ago. Tends to go well at Vincennes when behaved and Andrea Roussel will be minded to keep her focused
- GOUNIT DE L’AIROU – Eliminated in last 3 starts under the saddle and in current condition will have few friends
- GUNNER – Has taken superbly to his new vocation, most recently dominating a 2700m Class D here 2.5 weeks ago. Appears to have more progress in him and should be good enough to double his money
- FASCINANT – Has looked decidedly ordinary in both codes over recent months and is not about to create an upset
- HENZO DE CARSI – Won under harness at Cordemais prior to running 4th to GUNNER (9) in a 2700m Class D here 2.5 weeks ago. Seldom disappoints in this configuration and is not about to start now. Place prospect
- FELINE DE JANVILLE – Returns to her code of preference after some disappointing harness performances but at this level will have too much to do
- HARRY DU LYS – Excellent servant when barefoot and has been specifically prepared for this. Has no main-track references but still looks competitive for a first-5 cheque
- GAMINE DE RIBEAU – Modest element making first monte start since March 2025. Will be barefoot for the occasion but can expect to have few friends
- GROUPE DE POTES – Not the most reliable of horses but can trot on a good day. Reverts to a previous formula for the occasion and cannot be ruled out
Summary: Relatively new to the discipline, GUNNER (9) has shown quite the flair, recently opening his monte account in style, and plainly has the ability to repeat. A very tough nut to crack when barefoot though, GIFTOVER (5) makes his main-track debut on a hat-trick and will justifiably garner significant support. HOLLYWOOD GIRL (7) ran 3rd to Charley Mottier’s horse last time out and is easy to like for another podium place. A place behind that day, HENZO DE CARSI (11) must also be considered a player.

C3 – PRIX DE MONTPELLIER – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 35,000 - MAJOR DU MARGAS – Failed to confirm Graignes performance when 6th of 11 in a 2200m Class D here early last month. Takes to the main track for the first time, with front shoes off, and should acquit himself honourably if he takes to the new profile
- MUZE MAKER – Beautifully-bred colt that has done everything asked of him so far. Is unraced since June but is well-placed in front here and Pierre-Yves Verva will be justifiably confident of making hay
- MELKIOR DE BAILLY – Heavily-campaigned colt that has placed just twice in 23 starts to date. Hind shoes off this time but cannot be considered a contender
- MUST DREAM – Made up for November elimination when easily winning a Cabourg Class E on 16 December. Shoes off this time and will be expected to contest the finish
- MARCHAND DE REVE – Capable sort making first start since last August. Can prove a handful though and with shoes on will be at a disadvantage this time
- MELICIANO – Useful element that did not enjoy the best of runs at Beaumont-de-Lomagne in late-November. Sports competitive shoeing and Franck Nivard will be eager to set the record straight
- MUNCH CLUB – Gave a reassuringly good account when 3rd in a Class E over course and distance 12 days ago. Takes on a better bunch this time however and a repeat seems most unlikely
- MALICIOSO – Useful colt in receipt of an Eric Raffin drive for the first time. Is competitively-shod for the occasion and even though starting wide, must be respected
- MALKO MESLOIS – Tricky but talented colt that showed improvement over the inner course here on 18 November. In this small field, Yoann Lebourgeois will not be inconvenienced by the draw and can make this his own if his charge stays in stride
- MY DREAM DU GRAIS – Made up for comeback elimination when 4th in a 2800m Argentan Class E last week. Is new to racing left-handed and also seems to be out of his depth
- MILLE SABORDS DIVO – Sent for a break in early-August after winning 2 straight. Drops to a more reasonable level after a Class A comeback run, is unbeaten in 2 mobile starts, and will be no easy touch if Nicolas Bazire positions him early
Summary: Although eliminated more often than not, MALKO MESLOIS (9) is nevertheless a colt of considerable ability; he gets the chance to race competitively-shod for the first time and despite the wide draw can still open his 2026 account. Yoann Lebourgeois will nevertheless be mindful of the better-positioned and first-time barefoot MUST DREAM (4) who boasts a 50 percent win-rate, and the promising MUZE MAKER (2) who still looks dangerous despite not having raced since June. MALICIOSO (8) has a race in her since the spell, goes unshod-behind, with Eric Raffin reining, and must be monitored closely.

C4 – PRIX DE CLAMECY – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 35,000 - MAGIE MESLOISE – Promising filly facing her first objective of the winter and with Paul Ploquin in the bike and can make her 2026 bow a winning one
- MY DESTINY QUEEN – Unexceptional filly making first start since September. Hind shoes off but would have better prospects in the claiming category
- MISS DE LA FERME – Given ample time to recalibrate after losing her action in a Class D here on 7 November. Has never disappointed for Anthony Barrier, goes unshod-behind, and from the 3-spot can give this a good go
- MELBA DES VAUX – Returns to the harness code after being eliminated under the saddle here a month back. Here for a change of scenery and can be ruled out
- MERRY RIVER – Complicated character that ran 4th, a place behind MIA DE SIMM (9), in a 2850m Class E over the inner course on 27 November. Sports competitive shoeing for the first time and the draw will do her chances no disservice. First 5
- MILADY OF PARIS – Unlucky 3rd of 8 finishers in a 2700m Class E here on 5 December. Will be barefoot for the occasion and enjoys a realistic chance of contesting the finish
- MISS LADY D’ALESA – Pleasant 5th in a Class E under these conditions on Vincennes bow 12 days ago. Remains shod and is not about to paint the town red
- MONA LISA ELLIS – Gave an honest account of herself when 6th of 11 in a 2700m Class D here on 24 December. Will have come on for the run and should be able to compete for a place in the picture this time
- MIA DE SIMM – Lost her action early in a 2700m Class D here 2.5 weeks ago, but is clearly a good future prospect. Yoann Lebourgeois in the bike this time and is not incapable of opening her Vincennes account
- MIRTHE DE REUX – Ran 5th behind MIA DE SIMM (9) in a 2850m Class E over the inner course on 27 November. Hind shoes off this time but the draw will do her no favours
Summary: Nicely-entered here, and fully-fit following a comprehensive preparation, MAGIE MESLOISE (1) races barefoot for the first time and can get straight down to business. She can nonetheless expect to feel the heat from the widely-drawn but talented MIA DE SIMM (9) who fluffed the start here recently, and a freshly-barefoot MILADY OF PARIS (6) who would have finished closer here in early-December had she been afforded a run. MONA LISA ELLIS (8) held her own in a Class D on re-entry here on Christmas Eve and, competitively-shod this time, should have a lot to contribute.

C5 – PRIX DOMINIK CORDEAU – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class A – Harness – EUR € 71,000 - LAPIS LAZULI – Ran 3rd to OMERTA BOKO (12) in a 2850m Class A before being eliminated early in a Class A under these conditions on 27 November. Starts on the rail but can still get a look in if Tristan Ouvrie manages to keep him trotting
- KELLE BEAUTE – 5th in a Gr.3 on 6 December before faulting in Prix Oscar Collard a week later. Has pulled a good number but others still preferred
- KUIPER – Opened his Vincennes account in style 2.5 weeks ago when dominating Gr.3 Prix Oscar Collard under these conditions. Is ideally-placed behind the car and will be expected to apply the pressure on LORD DU GERS (9)
- LUCKY JACKSON – Beautifully-bred type but has not been living up to expectations. 4 pads fitted this time and would be preferred under the saddle
- KIKA JOSSELYN – Set personal best time of 1’10″2 under these conditions on penultimate start. Confirmed over 2850m 2.5 weeks ago and steps up in category with a lot to contribute
- LIBERTE DE CHOISEL – Made short work of his first winter objective, easily winning 2700m Gr.2 Prix Ariste Hemard here on 6 December. Has no references over this shorter trip but benefits from a good draw and Anthony Barrier can be confident of a big performance
- FELLOW WISE AS – Surprise winner of a Class A over course and distance on 27 November. Failed to confirm when 5th to KUIPER (3) in Prix Oscar Collard, but is plainly in excellent shape and unlikely to disappoint
- RIKITA JP – Valiant 2nd to FELLOW WISE AS (7) in a Class A over course and distance on 27 November. Will have come on for the run and even though drawn wide, still looks a player
- LORD DU GERS – Classy element that ran 4th, a place behind EVERY TIME WINNER (15), in Gr.3 Prix de Boissy-Saint-Léger over track and trip on 16 November. Has not been favoured with a good draw this time either but racing barefoot can make all the difference. Claim
- KENYAN BLUES – Serious individual with superb form in the other code. Is here for reasons of conditioning and can be passed over
- LISSANDRO – Undeniably talented but has been eliminated in 6 of last 8 starts and with shoes fitted can be confidently ruled out
- OMERTA BOKO – 3rd time a charm for this hardy element, winning a 2850m Class A on 20 November, his first start for new stable, and 3rd run at Vincennes. Takes on a better lot this time though and the draw does him no favours
- KENNEDY FRANCE – Out of the picture in both return runs. Has pulled a rough number and with shoes on has no realistic chance
- FERAHAN AS – Respectable but unthreatening 8th to KUIPER (3) in Prix Oscar Collard and would be preferred at a lower level
- EVERY TIME WINNER – 3rd in Gr.3 Prix de Boissy-Saint-Léger at 60-1 on 16 November. Failed to repeat when 6th to KIKA JOSSELYN (5) next time. Has been handed a tough draw but in present condition is unlikely to be far off the mark
- KINGEN MEARAS – Quality Swedish sort that ran 12th of 16 to KIKA JOSSELYN (5) in a 2850m Class B on Vincennes debut 2.5 weeks ago. Will be more at ease over this shorter trip and can play a role if Franck Ouvrie successfully navigates the start
Summary: A high-calibre colt with form to back him up, LORD DU GERS (9) takes a dip in category, comes here fresh and, despite a wide draw, will be barefoot and should be able to wrap this up. JMB will still want to be wary of the better-positioned KUIPER (3) who was an eye-catching winner of the Gr.3 Prix Oscar Collard, and LIBERTE DE CHOISEL (6) who made it 2 for 2 at Gr.2 level early last month. KIKA JOSSELYN (5) has won both return runs, including over course and distance, and represents a decent place chance. RIKITA JP (8) left a good impression on her comeback here in late-November and looks competitive once more.

C6 – PRIX DU CROISE-LAROCHE – 2850m (a2m) – Class C – Harness – EUR € 63,000 - INDOCILE – By no means disgraced when 5th behind IVOIRE DAIRPET (2) in a 2750m Cabourg Class D on 8 December, but on this occasion is being aimed too high
- IVOIRE DAIRPET – Tough individual with better form over 2700m here but is currently in fine condition and has never disappointed at Vincennes in the day’s configuration. Attention
- ILCAPITANO DU PARC – Started to show improvement when 4th in 8 December race of reference, but would have better prospects a level down
- IDEAL DE JEAN – Reassuring 3rd to IOUPY TOLLEVILLE (7) in a 2950m Le Mans Class E on 15 December. Failed to deliver in either start over 2850m here though and cannot be regarded a priority
- HERMES D’ECROVILLE – Blows hot and cold but caught the eye when 4th to IOUPY TOLLEVILLE (7) in a 2950m Le Mans Class E on 15 December. Is unlikely to get his nose in front but is unlikely to be available at 108-1 either
- IRINA DE BAILLY – Unremarkable mare that was trounced in last 2 starts here and can be confidently disregarded
- IOUPY TOLLEVILLE – Got back in the winners’ circle in mid-December when courageously winning a Le Mans Class E. Thrives over 2850m of the main track and can challenge for a place in the frame
- ISERIA GRIFF – Useful mare that would have finished closer in a 2700m Class D here 2 weeks ago had she been afforded a run. Is not about to create an upset but can nevertheless pick up some prizemoney
- HALL BLACK MESS – Comfortable winner of a Cagnes Class D on 20 December. Placed over track and trip during the autumn but is taking on too much this time
- IGRISONI – Showed improvement when 5th behind IMOKO JIBELAU (15) in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class D a month back. Eric Raffin in the bike this time and has a reasonable chance of contesting the finish this time
- IRON JET – Tricky sort that has not been seen out since September and with just hind shoes off is not about to ruffle any feathers
- ICARE DE PHYT’S – Most impressive in 2024 but looked a shadow of his former self in 2025, and recent eliminations do little to inspire confidence
- ISIS D’HERFRAIE – Below-par in both return runs last month. Has never excelled over 2850m of the main track and is not about to start now
- ISTORIC MAUZUN – Serious sort with an enviable strike-rate. Has won 4 of 5 Vincennes starts and looks primed to add another to his tally
- IMOKO JIBELAU – Got back in the game when 2nd in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class D on 2 December. Benjamin Rochard has kept the faith and has a realistic chance of making first 5 once again
- INSTRUCTOR – Capable on a good day but never easy to gauge. Benefits from a fine entry though, sports a configuration he has not used since 2022, and cannot be ruled out
Summary: Sent for a spell in September after having won 4 of 5 starts in 2025, ISTORIC MAUZUN (14) got straight back down to business at Lyon-La Soie in early-November. He enjoys a terrific entry, is undefeated with JMB reining, and is easy to fancy for the win. Opposition takes the form of IGRISONI (10) who is reconfigured for the occasion and entrusted to Eric Raffin, and IVOIRE DAIRPET (2) who will be competitively-shod. IOUPY TOLLEVILLE (7) has form over course and distance and returns to racing barefoot.

C7 – PRIX DE LIBOURNE – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 35,000 - LIBERTY JIEL – Won 3 straight in the provinces before losing her action at Le Croise-Laroche in mid-December. Is new to Vincennes but is clearly in shape and sports 4 pads as she did when victorious at Mauquenchy
- LIBELLULE – Useful Swedish import that has won 2 of 3 since coming to France this term. Lost her action on sole Vincennes start but is plainly in form and cannot be ruled out
- LOLITA DE MIELOUI – Modest individual that has done nothing of note for some time and is unlikely to begin now
- LOUISIANE GIRL – Ran 4th under the saddle here before coming 2nd to a very good filly here 3 weeks ago in a 2175m Class E. Yves Dreux yard in rude health at present and Eric Raffin will assure here a competitive drive. Claim
- LIZA MARCEAUX – Gave a good account to run 3rd in a Class F at Le Croise-Laroche in mid-December. Goes barefoot this time but has never delivered here and is not about to start now
- LIBERTINE D’ERABLE – Erratic mare with just the one run under her belt since the autumn break. Will be configured as she was when victorious at Caen last May, but on this occasion will have little to offer
- LIANE – Was going well when eliminated in a 2700m Class E here on 7 December. Benjamin Rochard stays faithful and can figure prominently if he succeeds in keeping her mind on the game
- LUCIA DE LA CRIERE – Gave an encouraging performance at Pontchateau 11 days ago but is simply taking on too much here
- LOVELY DES BROUETS – Was pulled up at Chartres before being eliminated in a Class E under these conditions on 7 December, and in this company has no possible chance
- LOKIE KADESH – Left a good impression at Chartres prior to being eliminated here on 12 December. Shoes back on though and will pose no danger
- LATINA JENILOU – Never the easiest of horses to gauge but has been entrusted to Yoann Lebourgeois and if he manages to keep her focused, she will not be far off the mark
- LUCKIS – Acquits herself well for the most part but has yet to show any liking for Vincennes and others easier to back
- LEGENDE D’EOLE – Failed to deliver in last 2 but pleased last time at the venue. Races shod again and will be no pushover if Benjamin Rochard keeps her focused
- LOUISIANE LEMAN – Lost her action when going well in a 2175m Class E here 3 weeks ago. Is just 165 Euros from elimination and Franck Nivard will be eager to put things right
- LOUNA D’OR – Gave a decent account at Marseille-Vivaux before pleasing in good company over course and distance on 7 December. Trainer could not have wished for a better entry and Romain Hemery will be keen to take advantage. Chance
Summary: LOUISIANE GIRL (4) put on a good show in a 2175m Class E here 3 weeks ago, will be reined by Eric Raffin again, and should be good enough to open her winter account. That being said, LOUNA D’OR (15) pleasantly surprised here a few days earlier and is ideally-engaged this time. With Benjamin Rochard reining for the first time, LEGENDE D’EOLE (13) will be expected to show marked improvement, and a reconfigured LIANE (7) should not be far from the action if applied.

C8 – PRIX DE LUCHON – 2850m (a2m) – Class F – Harness – EUR € 36,000 - KILANTA PASMARICK – Won 2 from 3 prior to coming 7th behind KESA DES THIRONS (7) in a 2700m Class F here on Christmas Eve. Has ground to make up though and cannot be considered a priority
- KALYPSO DU CAUX – Useful mare but has better references in the other code. Here for a change of scenery and will have nothing to contribute
- KATNISS MORMOULIN – Has just the one race under her belt since the layoff. Will have progressed for the run but at this level will struggle to make her presence felt
- KOMELE – Pleased at Graignes under harness before coming 3rd in a monte Class F here on 24 December. Faces some better contemporaries this time and can be ruled out
- KRACOTTE VERGNIER – Took little time getting back in the winners’ enclosure, comfortably securing a 2150m Class F at Cagnes-sur-Mer 2 weeks ago. Is unlikely to repeat but can still trot her way into the money
- KHOSIAB – In the frame in last 3, most recently 3rd in a Meslay Class F a fortnight ago. Goes left-handed for the first time but is still worth keeping an eye on
- KESA DES THIRONS – Gave a good account when 5th in a Class F over 2700m here on Christmas Eve. Hind shoes off this time and will not be sent out at 40-1. First 5
- KALATHAS DU BOCAGE – Produced a pair of good efforts before failing to fire at Le Mans in mid-December. Should not be condemned though and being reunited with Benjamin Rochard will only work to her advantage
- KALIE PACHA – Sent for a break in early-October after winning 3 of 4. Eliminated on re-entry but will have come on for the run and is not incapable of imposing
- KOURSE MAGIC – Respectable mare with decent Vincennes credentials but is new to 2850m over the main track and is unlikely to shake things up
- KAMELIYA – Eliminated in last 3 but is a mare of considerable ability. Tends to go particularly well for Eric Raffin who will be minded to prove the point. Claim
- KALIE PRIMO – Clearly capable but has been struggling of late. Reverts to a previous formula and, if behaved, should be able to get a look in
- KISS ME DU LIVET – Nicely-entered mare that encouraged when 6th, a place behind KESA DES THIRONS (7), in a 2700m Class F here on Christmas Eve. A repeat, however, seems most improbable
- KALAMA DE BEYLEV – Vincennes debutante that should not be too hastily-judged for her recent elimination. Is plainly in good shape and is unlikely to disappoint if focused. Place chance
- KLOE DU ROUEZO – Like a horse reborn over past 2 months. Matthieu Abrivard back in the bike, won her only start under these conditions, and will be expected to give KAMELIYA (11) a run for her money
Summary: Three times a winner in 4 starts with Eric Raffin, KAMELIYA (11) may not have been seen out since October but she will have been prepared for this and will be the one to beat if she stays trotting. The champion driver will still be keeping a watchful eye on a barefoot and in-form KLOE DU ROUEZO (15) who benefits from a tremendous entry, and the justifiably well-regarded KALIE PACHA (9) who should not be condemned for her comeback elimination. Similarly well-engaged here, KALAMA DE BEYLEV (14) benefits from a Yoann Lebourgeois drive this time and with application can finish in the mix.
