R1 DEAUVILLE [R-H]
C1 – PRIX DU HOME – 2500m (a1m1/2) – ALL WEATHER – Class 4 – Flat – EUR € 14,600
- ODIN NORMANDY – A solid 3rd in a Handicap over 2400m at Pornichet on 28 December, one length behind SOGYNT (2). Rarely far off but he does carry top weight and is drawn widest
- SOGYNT – Caught close home when 2nd in Handicap over 2400m at Pornichet on 28 December. An ultra-consistent performer, he should be in the firing line once again
- KEEN APPROACH – A decent 3rd in a Claimer over this course and distance on 17 December. She faced stronger last time and looks the one to beat
- RECOLETTY – Disappointed when 12th in a Handicap over this course and distance on 22 December. Will need to find more but three runs back did win over the track and trip
- NOUSDEUX – Comes off a victory in a Handicap over this course and distance on 22 December. Won her penultimate start as well and a third successive triumph could be a reality
- LAKE NAIVASHA – An improved 2nd in a Claimer over 2500m at Nancy on 30 November. Has not really run well on this surface so could struggle
- EXCESSIVENESS – A gratifying Handicap performance to finish 7th over this course and distance on 22 December. If things go her way she should be a strong contender
- LAVIRCA DODVILLE – Finished 11th in a Handicap over this 2500m at Deauville on 22 December. Will need to up her game to make any impression
- CORONADO – A promising 6th in a Handicap over this track and trip on 22 December. That was his comeback from a short break and with an apprentice allowance he rates upset material
- FIRSTMAN – Finished 7th in a Claimer over this track and trip on 17 December. He does look well held by KEEN APPROACH (3) on that effort but could place
- KING COBRA – Ran 8th in a Claimer over this track and trip on 17 December. Looks held by others on that last performance
- HENRIETTA BLACK – Faded out badly when 13th in a Handicap over 2700m at Chantilly on 6 December. Jockey was questioned but said she just ran out of steam in the back stretch and the course vet could find no physical problem
Summary: KEEN APPROACH (3) showed up well over this course and distance last time against better rivals and looks ready to win. EXCESSIVENESS (7) will probably need a strong pace so she can run at them late and will be a danger if the race is run to suit. NOUSDEUX (5) has won her last two and is in top form but will be fully tested in this field. SOGYNT (2) rarely runs a bad race on this surface and looks likely to fight out the finish once again.

COSTARMORICAIN (3) won last time out in first-time blinkers but could battle with the 3kg penalty. ITAEWON (11) drops in trip and will be hoping it will pay dividends.

- HELIOS DU LUY – Ran well to be 3rd over 3700m in a claiming chase at Cagnes-Sur-Mer on December 29th. Leading contender
- LA FELICITA – Credible 5th over 3300m in a claiming hurdle at this track on December 20th. Tries fences and is one to consider
- L’ODYSSEE – Failed to finish last time, 2nd previously over 3400m at Nimes on November 16th in a Class 4 chase. Has work to do to feature
- YSSI IMPERATRICE – Fair 5th over 3300m in a claiming hurdle at Pau on January 3rd. Placed 4th in a claiming chase in December over 3600m. One to keep onside
Summary: HELIOS DU LUY (6) ran a solid race when finishing third at Cagnes-sur-Mer in late December in a claiming chase and is preferred to his main rival, TROUBADOUR (1). The latter finished fifth on his chase debut in a Class 3 race on December 31, having previously been placed on his hurdles debut at Compiègne last year. He should have more to offer. YSSI IMPERATRICE (9) has shown placed form in a claiming chase before and could be an each-way contender. LA FELICITA (7) also warrants a mention.

Summary: HARPER’S FERRY (4) can be forgiven for his last run when facing a Listed field but does bring competitive British form behind him. he meets a field where he can redeem himself at the All-weather track. ACOTANGO (8) does not spark the eye at first glance but has the ability to cause chaos if wise up to the task. EL CANEY (3) ran third on Spanish surfaces and returning to French soil could find him being convincing. SPANISH LIGHT (1) comes into the race off a victory and can school his opposition if he repeats his last effort.

Summary: SUPER CUTE (8), DAZZLE AT DAWN (7) and CHARM KING (4) are familiar with the horse power each carry as they met in their last attempt. Healthy respect must be given for SUPER CUTE (8) being second in command and certainly has the accolades for her to claim her ninth career win. DAZZLE AT DAWN (7) was just behind the top choice and will once again be poised to strike in this field. CHARM KING (4) must not be discounted from any betting calculations. ANGEL CHARLY (3) always finds herself involved at the finish and on her best form to date, she will be present once again. Summary: DARABJIR (4) is an absolute fine fettle of late having won over the track and trip in his last attempt. He will take a power of beating. HARMONY GREY (5) just found one better than her last time out but will be flying at them as she goes over an extra 300m this time around. GOLDENSIM (9) is as honest as they come and will give a good account of himself. BELLE ANSE (1) wraps up the mix.

C1 – PRIX DE MARVEJOLS – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class R Claiming Amateur Riders – Harness – EUR € 18,000
- JEAN MADRIK – 2nd over track and trip on 18 November before prepping at Pontchateau last month. Starts on the inside but appreciates the day’s conditions and can play a leading role
- JISMIE GRIFF – Hardy mare that is significantly better than latest effort would suggest. Has never disappointed in a claimer under these conditions and will likely garner the lion’s share of support
- KOPECK DE CHENU – Got back in the game when 3rd to KOWEIT DE CHENU (10) in a 2100m claimer over the main track on 29 December, his first start at this level. Has been allocated a good number and Jerome Grandin will be eager to take advantage
- JACKPOT DES BORDES – Returns to the claiming division after prepping in Bordeaux last month. Goes barefoot this time, presents fine claiming credentials, and the draw will do his chances no disservice
- JAMES MADRIK – Returns to racing competitively-shod after a pair of provincial conditioners but still has nothing to contribute
- JAMIROQUAI – Unremarkable trotter that surprised at Grenade-sur-Garonne before being eliminated in Bordeaux. Shoes back on and can be ruled out
- JACK DES MALBERAUX – Placed in an Enghien claimer in October but has looked rather ordinary since. Goes barefoot this time but still represents no more than a minor place prospect
- JUBY DE BAILLY – Showed decent claiming form last summer but subsequently went off the boil and will need to get his house in order
- JADESKA – Gave a good account on claiming debut when 4th behind JEAN MADRIK (1) over track and trip on 18 November. Has pulled a rough number once again but cannot be ruled out
- KOWEIT DE CHENU – Impressive winner of a 2100m claimer on the main course on 29 December. Has been reconfigured but Charlène Bancel keeps the drive and will be dangerous if she manages to successfully negotiate the start
- JIKAO – Useful individual that has yet to get into his stride this season and will first need to re-establish his credentials
- KLARCK DE VANDEL – Ran 2nd to KOWEIT DE CHENU (10) in a 2100m claimer over the main track on 29 December. Forced to break on 2nd row but nevertheless looks competitive for a place in the frame
- JOG DE JAVIE – 4th in a claimer over the main track before making no impact at Pontchateau, and with pads fitted is unlikely to generate much interest
- KERGOMAR SIBEY – Capable but no champion in this category. Eliminated in 2 of last 3 starts and even though reconfigured still seems out of his depth
- JOKER DE VOUEDE – Has taken respectably to the claiming division but will need to improve on latest performance behind JOG DE JAVIE (13)
- JOURNEY – Previously a decent sort but has done nothing noteworthy for some time and is unlikely to influence the outcome
Summary: Oddly below-par in a Class D over the main track, JISMIE GRIFF (2) has otherwise been in decent shape, has nothing to prove at this level, and from the 2-spot can bring home the bacon. JEAN MADRIK (1) is a claiming specialist that beat a number of these in November here and, barefoot from the front line, looks the principal threat. Sporting hind pads this time, KOWEIT DE CHENU (10) has been less fortunate with the draw but he flew up over the main track last week and is in with a shout of repeating. KLARCK DE VANDEL (12) ran 2nd to him that day and can figure prominently if he keeps his action together.

C2 – PRIX RAMSES – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class C – Harness – EUR € 38,000 - NELOMBO BELLO – Well-beaten in a Class C over course and distance on 17 December. Showed early promise but is unlikely to create an upset
- NIKO DE TIMBOEUF – Progressive colt that defied his odds in a 2850m Class C here on 11 December. Is plainly on the right road and is in with a realistic shout of losing his maiden status
- NEED YOU MESLOIS – Yet to show any particular flair for the game, latterly 7th of 9 in a Class C under these conditions on 18 November. Comes here fresh but is unlikely to garner much support
- NEW YORK D’OYSE – Has looked decidedly ordinary since returning from his autumn spell. Is reconfigured for the occasion but others still preferred
- NANTUS D’AVIGNERE – Showed signs of encouragement at Graignes but was trounced over the main track on New Year’s Eve and can expect to have few friends
- NELSON SWIFT – Takes to the inner course for first time after placing twice over the main track. Will not be bothered by this shorter trip and David Thomain will be justifiably confident of a big run. Claim
- NEYMAR RENKA – Interesting element making French debut after two encouraging runs in Victoria Park. Mathieu Mottier in the bike and can play an active role
- NEMO DES CARREAUX – Has been knocking at the door over recent weeks and even though starting wide, he has a lot going for him and is unlikely to disappoint
Summary: Barring just the one hiccup, NELSON SWIFT (6) has demonstrated decent aptitude and consistency, and in this small field enjoys a fine opportunity to get off the mark. That being said, NIKO DE TIMBOEUF (2) showed a liking for the inner course last month and will not be available at 14-1 this time. Runner-up in 3 of his last 4 starts, NEMO DES CARREAUX (8) goes left-handed for the first time but sports pads for the occasion and has been entrusted to Eric Raffin.

C3 – PRIX DE GUERLESQUIN – 2850m (a2m) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 35,000 - MAHRANA DU HAUTY – Modest individual that has placed just once in 11 starts to date and appears to have no possible chance
- MELODY DE L’EPINE – Last of 5 in a 2700m Class E here on 29 December and will need to find significantly more
- MAMMA MIA DE LOU – Eliminated as often as not but is not devoid of ability. Showed her form despite being eliminated behind MANHATTAN D’AMER (7) in a Class E over course and distance on 25 December, and with application could pleasantly surprise
- MUSE DE BEYLEV – Placed twice at Graignes before running 4th, a place behind MANHATTAN D’AMER (7), in a Class E over course and distance on 25 December and, sporting a new configuration, is not to be underestimated
- MADEMOISELLE JOLIE – Would have finished 2nd in a 2200m Class E here on 29 December had she stayed in stride. Alexis Collette back in the bike and will be determined to set the record straight
- MAITIKA DE PEBRISY – Moderate filly with just one race under her belt since the break. Hind shoes off, with Nicolas Bazire reining, but still not an obvious choice
- MANHATTAN D’AMER – In the frame in 4 of last 5 starts, most recently 3rd in a Class E over track and trip on 25 December. Is patently close to getting off the mark and Eric Raffin will be loathe to let this opportunity pass him by
- MAYA PONT VAUTIER – Quickly eliminated in a Saint-Brieuc Class E on 5 December. Gets to race unshod for the first time and will be no pushover if Anthony Dollion keeps her focused
- METALLICA SMART – Won a 2700m Graignes Class F on re-entry early last month. Takes on a tougher lot this time but will be first-time barefoot with Gabriele Gelormini reining and unlikely to let the side down
- MAELYS DES BORDES – Won a Lyon-La Soie Class F before coming 4th in a Class E at the same venue a month ago. Should take well to the inner course, and races with pads, but nonetheless faces some stiffer opposition this time
Summary: An improving filly that ran a good 3rd under these conditions on Christmas Day, MANHATTAN D’AMER (7) will be competitively-shod for the first time and Eric Raffin can be forgiven for feeling bullish. The slightly more complicated, but no less-capable, MADEMOISELLE JOLIE (5) has been similarly reconfigured and showed late last month that she is close to her race. A place behind Charles Dreux’s horse last time, MUSE DE BEYLEV (4) sports a new formula and must be taken more seriously than she was that day. MAYA PONT VAUTIER (8) has shown considerable promise and will be barefoot for her Vincennes debut.

C4 – PRIX DE BOLLENE – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class B – Mounted – EUR € 43,000 - NEW LOOK BERRY – Eliminated in both starts to date, most recently 9 December race of reference, and is unlikely to have many friends in the markets
- NICE DREAM MESLOIS – Capricious colt that lost his action in a Class D on Boxing Day, first time under the saddle. Alexandre Abrivard in the irons this time and will not be far off the mark if he can keep his charge focused
- NORGUSSON ATALANTE – 7th to NICKEL DE BAILLE (6) in 9 December race of reference and will need to show marked improvement in order to play any role
- NAUTILIO BELLO – Tricky colt that ran 3rd to NICKEL DE BAILLE (6) in 9 December race of reference before being eliminated early on 26 December. Is unlikely to win this but can still challenge for a place in the picture
- NEWTON DES ANDIERS – Confirmed good qualification when 2nd to NICKEL DE BAILLE (6) on debut here early last month. Will have progressed for the run and has a decent chance of turning the tables
- NICKEL DE BAILLE – Produced a fine effort to win a 2200m Class D here on monte debut early last month. Beat the promising NEWTON DES ANDIERS (5) on that occasion and is eminently capable of repeating
- NEWTON ELLIS – Facile winner of a 2200m Class D here a fortnight ago. Is clearly good enough to race at this level and also plainly good enough to impose
Summary: Winner over the short course on monte debut a month ago, NICKEL DE BAILLE (6) is clearly a colt for the future but he may just have to play second fiddle to NEWTON DES ANDIERS (5) this time who should be more suited to the longer trip over the main track. NEWTON ELLIS (7) did not skip a beat on his ridden debut on Boxing Day here and a similar performance could well see him double his money.

C5 – PRIX DE FRANCHEVILLE – LA BARRE – 2175m (a1m1/4) – Class B – Harness – EUR € 52,000 - MAMBO DE JAUDRAIS – Honest sort that was sent for a spell after winning over course and distance on 8 November. In better company this time but seldom disappoints and will be expected to acquit himself competitively. First 5
- MAJOR DU BISTON – Gave a good account to win a Class D over 2700m here on 12 December. Is in more elevated company this time but should nevertheless hold his own
- MANHATTAN JIEL – Has decent Vincennes references but has done little of note this season and latest results do nothing to inspire confidence
- MOHAWK – Has ample ability but it is regularly a case of all-or-nothing . Hind shoes off, and has already won for his driver, but still not an obvious choice
- MENTOR DE PLAY – Surprised somewhat when 5th in a 2700m Class C here late last month. Chances this time around seem limited however
- MALUMA D’ANGIS – Solid in 3 starts here before faulting early in a 2700m Class C on 28 December. Steps up in category but has not once failed to fire for his driver and will not be far off the mark
- MEYOU DU CAMPUS – Has done nothing but improve over recent months. Courageous here last month and takes on a better lot with shoes off and a good hand to play
- MAESTRO JAMINI – Not the easiest of horses to handle but form is not in question, and can make a big splash if David Thomain manages to keep him focused
- MELCHIOR JAMES – Quality trotter taking on a less-elevated bunch than he did here in early-November. Returns refreshed and, with shoes off for the first time, can win his first since December 2024
- MEA CULPA – Is no champion but ran 5th in a 2700m Class B here on 11 December. Is not about to spring a surprise but runs first-time barefoot and will be one to keep an eye on
Summary: Given time to recalibrate and dropped down the category-ladder, MELCHIOR JAMES (9) races barefoot for the first time and should be good enough to win a race of this nature. He will be opposed though by the useful MAESTRO JAMINI (8) who benefits from wearing pads this time, and MEYOU DU CAMPUS (7) who showed great tenacity to win a Class C here 3.5 weeks ago. Reunited with Eric Raffin following his late-December conditioner, MALUMA D’ANGIS (6) will be competitively-shod this time and must be considered a contender.

C6 – PRIX DU BOUSCAT – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class C – Mounted – EUR € 53,000 - KARTING BOY – No slouch on a good day but is being aimed too high on this occasion and can expect to have few takers
- KOMEDIE SOMOLLI – Steps up in category after placing twice over course and distance recently but with shoes fitted this time can be ignored
- KILOU D’YMER – Fine servant that seldom lets the side down when barefoot. Beat KIKI AND CO (10) during the autumn and must not be overlooked
- KOALA – Made short work of a Class D under these conditions on 21 December. In better company this time but still looks a player
- KOQUIN DU PERCHE – Honest type that ran 5th to KIKI AND CO (10) here early last month. Has previously won at this level but looks a minor place chance at best this time
- KADO SHINING – Not without merit but eliminated in last 3 starts and others easier to trust
- KENYAN BLUES – Barefoot and back under the saddle following a harness prep on New Year’s Day. Is a tough nut to crack when focused and can bring the fight to KIKI AND CO (10)
- KALINE DE FAEL – A veritable metronome returning to the venue on a 3-timer. Is plainly at the top of her game and can be counted on for a big run. Chance
- KALINE DE VIVOIN – Complicated but has form in both codes. Has previously won here in the day’s configuration and will have a lot to contribute if Paul Ploquin keeps her mind on the game
- KIKI AND CO – Back in his code of preference after prepping under harness. Won a Class B last time under the saddle and it would be no surprise to see him repeat
Summary: A superb campaigner in this branch of the business, KIKI AND CO (10) boasts solid references under these conditions, enjoys a golden entry, and barefoot for the occasion will be expected to confirm last month’s success. Third that day after winning a pair over course and distance, KENYAN BLUES (7) will go unshod following his harness conditioner and with application will be no easy touch. KALINE DE FAEL (8) opened her monte account at the first time of asking, then repeated under harness, and the hat-trick is not out of the question. KOALA (4) dominated a Class D over track and trip recently and steps marginally up in category with a good card to play.

C7 – PRIX DE LA MOSELLE – 2175m (a1m1/4) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 35,000 - LITTLE DREAM – Tricky sort that ran an encouraging 4th in a Le Mans Class F in mid-December, however a repeat seems improbable
- LINDIR – Unexceptional type that has failed to make much of an impact in last 3 starts and with shoes on this time is not about to spice things up
- LENZO – In the frame in 3 of last 4 starts, most recently 3rd in a Graignes Class F 10 days ago, but in this company will have too much to do
- LIPTON DU NOYER – Lost his maiden status in late-October but has disappointed in three subsequent outings and can be passed over
- LOVE SHACK – 6th, a place behind LINCOLN HAWK (11), in a 2725m Graignes Class E on 12 December. Races first-time barefoot, with Mathieu Mottier reining, and despite the hike in category will still be worth monitoring
- LUPIN DU BOURG – Placed in first 2 following the break before oddly disappointing in a 2700m Class E here on 5 December. Is quite clearly better than that and Pierre-Yves Verva will be keen to put things right. Place chance
- LEOGNAN – Made no bones about winning a 2700m Class F at Le Croise-Laroche a month back. Is already twice a winner when shod but looks more a first-5 chance this time
- LIRELLO – It took 20 starts before getting off the mark, but failed to confirm on 21 December. Benjamin Rochard gets the nod this time and has a reasonable chance of picking up a cheque
- LOU PRESTANCE – Surprise 4th of 12 in a 2100m Class E here on 29 December. Enjoys a good entry and, with form maintained, can open his 2026 account
- LITTLE BOY – Has taken well to racing both in this configuration and with Eric Raffin in the bike. Has earned the right to race here and is not incapable of getting his nose in front
- LINCOLN HAWK – Should not be hastily-condemned for coming 5th in a 2725m Graignes Class E on 12 December. Is well-entered, placed on sole main-track appearance, and on good behaviour can figure prominently
Summary: LOU PRESTANCE (9) made up for his La Capelle elimination with a solid effort over the main track late last month and with Paul Ploquin drafted in for the occasion, clearly means business. In excellent shape, LITTLE BOY (10) thrives with Eric Raffin and makes his Vincennes bow with a decent chance of opening his Paris account. LUPIN DU BOURG (6) returns to racing barefoot after failing to deliver here early last month, and given the chance can make amends. Superbly-engaged at the limit of earnings, LINCOLN HAWK (11) will not be far off the mark if his driver keeps him trotting.

C8 – PRIX DE MAURIAC – 2850m (a2m) – Class B – Harness – EUR € 52,000 - SAN DONATO – Well-regarded sort with decent Swedish form. Is new to Vincennes though and would be preferred barefoot
- FIRST TIME ROC – Returns to France after a modest stint in Scandinavia. Has placed just once in 4 main-track starts and even with Eric Raffin reining is unlikely to shake things up
- LOUIS VITTON MIJO – Speedy individual that easily won a 2175m Class C here on 19 December. Is hard to knock when barefoot and the engagement of Alexandre Abrivard will only work to his advantage. Place prospect
- FAKIR ROC – Returns to the venue after prepping well in Turin. Has been reconfigured but has yet to deliver at Vincennes and can be passed over
- LUMINOSITY – High-calibre mare making first appearance since early-November. Stays shod for the occasion and best to keep one’s powder dry
- LUDIVINE – Has been hard to fault lately, most recently 2nd in a Class B over track and trip last week, and will justifiably garner support
- LOVER MAN – Returned to winning ways in a Class B over course and distance in mid-December. Is as adaptable as they come, is Gr.2-placed, and looks main danger to LORD DELO (12)
- LIZZANO D’ALOUETTE – Serious sort with a particular liking for these conditions, most recently missing out by a hair’s breadth to LOVER MAN (7). Hind shoes back on this time which may just be what the doctor ordered
- LA STAR ROC – Showed improvement on comeback when 5th to LOVER MAN (7) in a Class B over course and distance on 14 December. Fitted with pads this time though and others preferred
- LARA DU GOUTIER – Surprise 4th in a 2700m Gr.2 early last month before running 9th in Gr.1 Critérium Continental on 21 December. Not the fondest of 2850m over the main track but has ample class and can get in on the action
- LARA DU LERRE – Quality mare racing here in preparation for a campaign under the saddle and has nothing to offer
- LORD DELO – Serious type making first start since dominating a 2700m Class B here on 8 November. Is a Gr.3 winner under these conditions and looks set to take all the beating
- LISSANDRO – Simply superb here last winter but struggled with stride woes for most of 2025. Is a Gr.3 winner in the day’s configuration, placed on sole start with David Thomain, and cannot be discounted
- LAPIS LAZULI – Failed to deliver in 2 after having run 3rd in a Class A over track and trip on 20 November. Is by no means a priority but should not be ruled out either
Summary: Difficult to fault since last winter, LORD DELO (12) returns from a spell after having flown up over 2700m here in early-November; he excels in the day’s configuration and can wrap this up. Plainly back at his best, LOVER MAN (7) clinched victory from a fast-finishing LIZZANO D’ALOUETTE (8) here last month, and both look competitively well in again, the latter having been re-shod. Winner on comeback here 3 weeks ago, LOUIS VITTON MIJO (3) will be reined by Alexandre Abrivard for the first time and should have the wherewithal to finish in the mix.
