  1. DADDY JOY – Looked mediocre when 10th in a Handicap over 2400m at Pornichet on 28 December.
    Will have to up his game

  3. MYSTIC – Looked good when running 2nd in a Handicap over this course and distance on 22 December. He was just touched off in that race and looks ready to win
  4. IRTYCH – Overcame a wide draw to finish an excellent 2nd over this track and trip on 22 December. Only caught late on that occasion and will benefit from a better draw
  5. LOFSONGUR ISLANDE – 6th in a Handicap over this course and distance on 22 December. Well held by IRTYCH (4) on that run
  6. AL ALAALI – An extremely disappointing 16th in a Handicap over this course and distance on 29 December. Vet examination failed to reveal anything but form is better than his last run suggests
  7. CAPTAIN EAGLE – Finished 8th in a Handicap over course and distance on 29 December. He has not had the best of luck lately and deserves better
  8. ERIDITA DOVER – Ran poorly when 11th in a Handicap over this course and distance on 29 December. Held by others and cannot be considered
  9. CATHERINE’S GIFT – Finished 5th in a Conditions race over 2400m at Pornichet on 3 January. Meets stronger and looks unlikely to feature
  10. FIRST ONE – Narrowly beaten when 2nd in a Claimer over this course and distance on 17 December. She has decent form at this course
  11. ARMORIGENE – Ran 15th in a Handicap over this course and distance on 8 January. Was drawn widest of all and should be better than that effort
  12. STYLE DE WAY – A good effort to finish 3rd in a Handicap over this course and distance on 29 December. That was his first run back on the Flat and should be competitive
  13. REACH THE STARS – A moderate 7th in a Handicap over this course and distance on 2 January. Needs to do more to feature
    Summary: Many of these runners have been competing over this course and distance recently and on that basis MYSTIC (3) and IRTYCH (4) could be the pair to fight it out. Both were touched off in their respective heats and should be in the frame once again. BRIONA (2) followed up a win on the turf at Saint-Cloud with a decent effort back on the sand last time. CAPTAIN EAGLE (7) deserves a change of fortune.

  15. REVALITE – Promising effort when 5th in a Claimer over this track and trip on 17 December. Takes on stronger but not without a chance
  16. STAR MAUVE – A respectable 3rd in a Maiden over this track and trip on 23 December. Has only raced three times so further progress is possible and she could make her mark in this Handicap.
  17. LE GAST – A 3-length 2nd in a Handicap over course and distance on 22 December. He is always thereabouts at this track and must be considered
  18. YELLOW DREAM – Won a Maiden over 2100m at Pornichet on 28 December. She won well and at the weights could have a say once again.
  19. DSCHINGIS ZANDEE – A moderate 6th in a Conditions race over 2100m at Pornichet on 26 December. On current form will be hoping for a place
  20. MAC LA TAMBOUILLE – Finished 10th in a Handicap over 3200m at Chantilly on 11 December. Has better form over further than this 2500m but could be competitive
  21. CARTIMANDUA – A decent 5th in a Claimer over this course and distance on 29 December. Has a bit to do but looks good enough to place
  22. LIKING – Ran 11th in a Handicap over 2000m at Nancy on 30 November. Won his previous start at Strasbourg but this longer trip and rise on class could catch him out
  23. YEMASKA – Finished 8th in a Handicap over 3100m at Pornichet on 7 January. Based on recent runs will probably need further
  24. LA DIVA D’ALBEN – Well beaten when 10th in a Handicap over 1900m at Chantilly on 11 December. On form is best overlooked
  25. ADLAN SENORA – A decent 5th in Handicap over this course and distance on 22 December. Was doing his best work late so deserves respect
  26. KALEONA – Finished 6th in a Handicap over 2150m at Lyon La Soie on 15 December. Has a lot more to do in this company
    Summary: STAR MAUVE (3) has only raced three times and has improved with each start. Now qualified to race in Handicaps, a big run is expected. YELLOW DREAM (5) cracked a Maiden win with authority last time and comes into this race at the top of her game. MEAUTIS (1) has been disappointing but now at a lower weight level should be competitive. LE GAST (4) has been ultra-competitive at this track and should be in the mix once again.

  29. VESCO – Pulled up 200m from home in a Handicap over this track and trip on 30 December. Course vet could not detect any problem
  30. STAR OF ARTABAN – Another good effort when 3rd in a Handicap over this track and trip on 12 December. Rarely far of the winners and he should be right there again
  31. RAIDEN – Finished 7th in a Handicap over 2100m at Pornichet on 28 December. Has had two good runs with Cristian Demuro in the irons and he will be back for this race
  32. KEETA – Not a bad effort when 6th in a Handicap over 1950m at Chateaubriant on 12 May. She ran 3rd at this track on debut and could produce a promising comeback run
  33. SERENA – A moderate 9th in a Handicap over 1700m at Pornichet on 7 January. Looks unlikely to trouble this field
  34. MEKHTALIA – Finished 9th in a Handicap over 2400m at Pornichet on 19 December. She is likely to find this distance a touch sharp.
  35. NICK BOUTIQUE – Only beaten 1.50 lengths when 2nd in a Handicap over this course and distance on 30 December. Won his penultiimate start over track and trip and showed he was still competitive.
  36. DALYAMIX – Looked mediocre when 8th in a Handicap over this course and distance on 30 December. Unlikely to prove a threat in this field
  37. BOBBY JEAN – Finished 7th in a Handicap over this track and trip on 30 December. Form is not encouraging and she will need to up her game
  38. MAYUMI – Finished 12th in a Handicap over this track and trip on 30 December. Looks well held by other based on the form of that last race
  39. MONDIAL SPORT – Overraced early when 10th in a Handicap over 2500m at this course on 2 January. His best form is over further but still has the ability to be competitive
  40. JOHNNY JANE – Did well to finish 4th in a Handicap over 2500m at this track on 2 January. Has good results over this 1900m and will benefit from a 1.5kg allowance
    Summary: NICK BOUTIQUE (9) has had a win and a second place over this course and distance in his last two starts and off No 1 draw looks the one to beat. However, STAR OF ARTABAN (4) fits a similar profile with a win, a second and a third in his last three starts, all over this track and trip. RAIDEN (5) runs well with Cristian Demuro up and should do so again. JOHNNY JANE (14) comes in with a light weight and is proven at the course.

  43. ALKIDAN – Finished 1th in a Handicap over this track and trip on 30 December. Held by others on that last run
  44. GAULOIS GLORIEUX – Ran 8th in a Claimer over 1600m at Chantilly on 9 December. Has a lot more to do to be competitive in this event
  45. GABYLOU – A 2-length winner of a Handicap over 2100m at Pornichet on 28 December. Has to deal with the penalty but will appreciate the 1.5kg jockey allowance
  46. KEANU – Winner of a Claimer over this course and distance on 23 December. In good form but takes a jump in class.
  47. VOLCANO – Won a Maiden over 1800m at Lyon La Soie on 5 December. With a first win under his belt he is could be ready to show up in a Handicap
  48. LITTLE LADY – Did not show up when 7th in a Conditions race over 2150m at Lyon La Soie on 7 December. Unlikley to make any impression on this field
  49. MY SECRET LIGHT – A decent 2nd in a Claimer over this course and distance on 23 December. Finished just behind KEANU (6) and should finish closer to him with the weight adjustment
  50. SMERWICK – A moderate 7th in a Conditions race over 1800m at Compiegne on 10 October. Form not great and is coming back from a 3-month break
  51. AZ ZEIVA – Narrowly beaten when 2nd in a Handicap over this track and trip on 12 December. He has been runner-up in his last three starts and deserves a victory
  52. TWARAB – A 1.50-length winner of a Handicap over this course and distance on 30 December. The 3kg penalty might make this a tough race to win but has place prospects
  53. WOLKE SIEBEN – A well-beaten 8th in a Maiden over 2700m at Chantilly on 6 December. Looks outclassed in this company
  54. LA FLANDRINE – Finished 8th in a 10-horse field over 2400m at Pornichet on 22 November. Will struggle to be competitive in this company
    Summary: A number of runners in this field have recently performed well over this course and distance but perhaps it could be the ideal race for AZ ZEIVA (11), after three successive runner-up spots, to finally pick up a victory. REMBRAND TO GO (2) has a track-and-trip win and a second in his last two races, while SOMMERBLAU (1) and TWARAB (12) both won their last races and therefore will have to deal with penalties.

  63. CAPOUCHINE – Has struggled of late and was tenth at this level over this track and trip on 17 December. More is needed to win this race
    Summary: PADDINGTON (1) was a good winner over this distance when trying this level of competition at Chantilly last month. He beat a number of these that day and there is no real reason he cannot beat them again. MIA FAST (2) was unlucky last time out and, if there is to be a danger to the selection, it may be her. NAZGUL BLOU (5) is capable of improvement after just a couple of starts and can be competitive. NAZGUL BLOU (5) can also get involved with the finish.

  71. MR FLEURANT – Only modest of late and was 11th in a handicap at Chantilly over 1600m on 9 December. Capable of doing better and has claims
  72. FREJA – Battling to find best form and was 13th in a handicap at Chantilly over 1600m on 9 December. More is needed to win
    Summary: APAX (5) has run decent races at a higher level than this. It is his first claimer and he looks the one to be with. ROSAPENNA (1) is unbeaten in two starts in this division and will make a bold bid for a hat-trick, but does give weight away to his rivals. KIARO (3) was a solid winner in his first crack at a claimer and it was at this track, so he will have his supporters. MR FLEURANT (8) drops to this division for the first time and could make the frame.

    Summary: A small field but a very interesting race. ZADE (1) does set the standard. He has done little wrong so far and could dominate these rivals. KAILANI (3) is improving and has proven himself at this course, so is a danger. ELIMA (4) won over this course and distance last time out and should be involved with the finish yet again. MISS CHIQUITA (5) did win over this track and trip in November but could need this run returning from a break.

    Summary: A very open lucky last race. HASAPIKO (1) was a convincing winner over this course and distance in his penultimate start. His last run is best ignored, and he gets a narrow vote to score. DON’T SHUT ME DOWN (2) is better judged on his penultimate run here and can be a lively danger. BARBATE (3) is in very good shape and can be competitive again. COSMIC FRONT (4) is better than his last run suggests and is not out of it. ZILRAK (5) is one of several in the race who can be considered possible winners.

  4. DOMINO DU RAYNAL AA – Two unplaced runs since a 3rd in a cross-country at Pau on February 11th over 4100m at this track. Can make the frame
  5. GARETH DE LARACHI AA – Placed 4th on the one run in 2025 over 4200m in a Class 1 chase at Bordeaux Le Bouscat on October 14th. Track and trip winner in January 2024. Others preferred
  6. GRIS MINOIS AA – Placed on his last two runs, 4th in a cross-country at Pau on December 28th. Can make his presence felt
    Summary: JAZZ DE CANDALE AA (1) won at this track over 4100m in a cross-country race in December and is also a previous winner over the same course and distance in January 2025. He will be hard to beat, although PESO DI LEGNO AA (2) is versatile and could also have a say, having won on the flat and over hurdles, and over fences. He has won two of his three starts over cross-country fences. GRIS MINOIS AA (6) is another contender worth keeping onside.

  9. BLUE ELIE – Placed 2nd in a claiming hurdle over 3300m on January 3rd at this track. Unlikely to threaten the principles
  10. MAIS OUI MADRIK – Two unplaced runs over hurdles, falling on the latter over 3550m at Fontainebleau in a Class 3 race on October 13th. Given time, she is worth considering
  11. BEAUVOISINIERE – Two unplaced runs since a 2nd on debut on the flat over 2700m in a conditions race at Les Sables on October 11th. Unlikely to threaten
  12. MISTY DE KERSER – Unraced by Karaktar, the dam never ran. Likely to improve for this run unless the betting market speaks volumes
  13. BOROUGHA – Placed 2nd on her sole start over 2500m in a claiming race at Nort-Sur-Erdre on June 1st. Tries hurdles andwarrants respect
    Summary: MARY SHELLEY (1) has been placed several times over mainly fences of late, with solid efforts in good races. She was second behind a facile winner in a Listed chase at Auteuil in early December and can be effective back over hurdles. Her main threat could be MAIS OUI MADRIK (4), who has shown promise in her two starts over hurdles. MALICE LA NOVERIE (2) is a winner over hurdles two runs back and can be involved. BOROUGHA (7) heads the rest.

  23. LANDE D’OUDAIRIES – Placed 2nd on her second start on the flat over 2900m at Durtal on November 9th in a conditions race. Hurdling bow and is best watched for now
  24. LOVE ME BAIE – Finished 4th two runs back over 3600m at Senonnes on May 30th over 3600m in a Class 3 hurdle, failed to complete over hurdles in late December last time out. Opposable
    Summary: LYSSENKO (1) has scored on both of his runs so far. The latest success was over the course and distance in a Class 3 hurdle on December 31st by 3.5 lengths from his main threat today LYRE D’OUDAIRIES (2), who is one kilo better off today and can be competitive. DAVID SONG (4) has shown talent in both starts over hurdles and can not be discounted. LOUP DE FREGANDE (8) was a decent third at this track in a Class 3 hurdle earlier this month and looks best of the remainder.

Antonin Andre will still be justifiably wary of MIRACLE D’ALEXIANE (4) who placed twice before producing a surprisingly below-par effort earlier in the month.   34. LUXUEUSE DANICA – Below-par 7th of 8 finishers in a 2850m Vincennes Class D late last month. Has otherwise been in good shape and, under these conditions, should be able to bounce back and finish in the mix
  35. KRISTAL DE JANZE – Tough type that has been hard to fault when barefoot over recent months, latterly runner-up at Graignes. Sports hind shoes this time but is still not incapable of finishing in the mix
    Summary: Sent for a holiday after opening her monte account in August, KOUSINE MAJYC (4) outclassed the opposition on comeback last month and even with 4 pads fitted this time can still wrap this up. Nicely-engaged here, LUXUEUSE DANICA (13) placed in 3 of 5 in Paris this winter and returns to the provinces with a good hand to play. LOTI SOLO (12) got back in the game 2.5 weeks ago and with form maintained should not disappoint.   72. KING D’EB – Has been disappointing on the whole since returning to competition in early-November, but showed signs of encouragement at Le Croise-Laroche a month ago, and should not be entirely written off
  73. KARNAC D’ALCI – Fine, consistent servant that went into his spell in good shape. Is as comfortable going left-handed as right- and will legitimately garner considerable support
  74. KIM DE BEAUM – Gave a surprisingly good account at Le Mans in mid-December and in this modest field will have a reasonable chance of picking up a place cheque
  75. KAJOU JOSSELYN – No champion but benefits from a terrific entry here, and with Mathieu Mottier reining will be afforded every chance. First 5
    Summary: Delicate he may be but KENZO DE L’ETOILE (2) nevertheless ran an excellent race at Lyon-Parilly last month only to come unstuck by the stewards. He receives an Eric Raffin drive this time and on good behaviour can trot his way back into the winners’ circle. The principal danger hails from a trio of back-row starters, notably KASH DE TILLARD (12) who has been knocking at the door for some time. KARNAC D’ALCI (14) has not been seen out for over 2 months but he consistently gives his best and is not about to let the side down. Nicely-engaged here, KIM DE BEAUM (15) can figure more prominently than she did at Le Mans a month back.

  84. JACADI BROUETS – Going strongly when denied a run in a 2100m Vincennes Class E 11 days ago, coming 6th of 15. Is quite clearly in fine fettle and can win this if kept out of trouble
    Summary: JACADI BROUETS (9) showed a different side to himself at Vincennes earlier in the month, although not reflected in his result, and at just 120 Euros from elimination is ideally-placed to get right back down to business. That being said, KOOL GEORGES (7) imposed under these conditions before twice acquitting himself well in Paris, and will be expected to contest the finish. Barefoot following a brace of conditioners, JAZZ DE PADD (8) has references at this level and faces his first winter target with a lot to contribute. JAVA DE BOITRON (6) is back in competition-mode after a pair of provincial preps and, while yet to deliver here, will be reined by Eric Raffin this time and can be assured a competitive drive.

    Summary: Back at the top of his game since moving yards, I STILL LOVING YOU (9) faces a less-difficult task than he did in Paris recently and even though incurring the penalty still looks the horse to beat. IMAGE CHARENTAISE (14) is significantly better than her most recent results would suggest, and Alexis Collette will be determined to prove the point. Reliability may not be her strong suit but HUELVA DUPEROUZEL (10) won smartly at Vire last time out and will be partnered by Eric Raffin on this occasion. 25m better off, and sporting a new configuration, IDOLE DE LA TOUQUE (5) makes just his second start for Charley Mottier and, with application, can challenge for a place in the frame.

    Summary: MAJOR GEDE (3) has struck form with some nice wins at this track. This is a tougher race but he can take out this lucky last race. MAESTRO DE BENOISE (9) has some ability and is in good form, so will not go down without a challenge for top honours. MYSTIC BOND (1) is usually competitive and can get into the mix once again. MAESTRO DE BENOISE (9) races without shoes and is also capable of shining.
