R1 VINCENNES [L-H]
C1 – PRIX DE LA MATERNELLE FONTENAY (TITANIA) – 2850m (a2m) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 59,000
- HANA D’OCCAGNES – Unremarkable mare that has done nothing of note at this level for 11 months and will not be troubling the judge
- VALLATONIAN – Serious sort that won a brace earlier in the year prior to being eliminated in 2 straight. Would have imposed last time out though had he stayed in stride and, sporting a fresh configuration, must be taken seriously
- FIGHTER SIMONI – Following a pair of modest return runs, he goes barefoot for the first time in over 2 years but will first need to reaffirm
- XERAVA C.D. – Very hard to fault since coming south. Will have no issue with the trip and looks competitive for a spot in first 5
- JAMAICA PHEDO – Highly impressive so far this year, securing 2 victories in each discipline. Seldom lets the side down over 2850m and will be expected to garner the lion’s share of support
- HEUREUX DE FLEUR – Won a 2100m Class D here last month on just 2nd start back. Has never disappointed over 2850m of the main track and can play a small part
- GOODMORNING CHARLY – Kicked the year off superbly but was out of the picture in last 2 and looks no more than a minor place chance
- NICE PRESENT – Springs the occasional surprise but has not placed on the French side of the border for some time and is not about to upset the status quo
- ISERIA GRIFF – No slouch on a good day but has looked rather ordinary since March and is unlikely to spring any surprises
- JIZOU D’ETANG – Made it 3 straight sanctions when eliminated in a 2700m Class C here a fortnight back. Clearly showed his form that day though and has the wherewithal to win a race of this nature
- DIABEL – Tough mare that gave a good account when 5th in decent company at Enghien a fortnight ago. Seldom disappoints when focused and can contest a place on the podium
- JANKO HAUFOR – Did not enjoy the best of trips when 5th in a 2700m Class C here 2 weeks ago. Has nothing to prove under these conditions and can give JAMAICA PHEDO (5) a run for her money
Summary: Firing on all cylinders this season, winning 4 of 5, JAMAICA PHEDO (5) is particularly adept under these conditions and in current condition is hard to ignore. She will be opposed though by JANKO HAUFOR (12) whose trainer could not have wished for a better entry. JIZOU D’ETANG (10) has been rather unruly of late but is better than most of the field and can figure prominently if David Thomain keeps him focused. Competitively well-in here, DIABEL (11) will be reunited with Benjamin Rochard who won with her over course and distance last December.

C2 – PRIX DE LA MATERNELLE GALLIENI (MARSIK) – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 46,000 - LOTUS DE BEYLEV – Has for some time looked a shadow of his former self and recent numbers do little to inspire confidence
- LOVE SHACK – Fine campaigner that has been enjoying a rich vein of form, but has no Vincennes references and can expect to find this a stiff test
- LOVE YOU PHYT’S – Has taken a long time getting back in the game but has recently been showing his form. Has never demonstrated much love for the main track though and others easier to back
- LOU PRESTANCE – Kicked the year off with a double, which included a 2100m Class E here in February, but has not been as sharp since and even though sporting a new configuration is unlikely to create an upset
- LARABIEN – Placed in 2 before flopping in an Enghien Class D on 18 April. Comes here fresh but takes on a better lot and chances seem slim
- LUXURY DU DOUAROU – Good servant for the most part but lost his action on Vincennes debut 2 months ago and is not about to spice things up
- LOOPING MIL – Won a Class E over course and distance earlier in the year but has not been as performant since. Encouraged at Argentan 2.5 weeks ago but others still preferred
- L’IDEALISTE – 4th in a Class D at Le Croise-Laroche a fortnight back, but has placed just once under harness here and even though reconfigured, looks a minor place chance at best
- LET’S GO LANDEMER – Sent for a layup after winning a Laval Class E in early-March. Is lightly-raced though, shod to preference, and makes his Vincennes bow with a decent chance of getting in on the action
- LUXE D’ERABLE – Sent for a rest after running 2nd in a Class D over course and distance last November. Should be fit by now after a pair of conditioners and with David Thomain back in the bike, clearly means business
- LIVE YOUR DREAMS – Not the easiest to handle but reassured at Nort-sur-Erdre on 8 May. Has form with Eric Raffin who will be eager to exact revenge on the nicely-entered LIEGO (13)
- LODEN D’HERFRAIE – Got back in the game a fortnight ago when 2nd to a very good horse at Le Mans. Won over 2175m here earlier in the year and has a realistic chance of picking up some prizemoney
- LIEGO – Returned to victorious ways on turf early last month. Failed to deliver here in March but the nature of his recent triumph bodes well for his chances of finishing close
- LIKE MESLOIS – Most impressive here last November, winning a 2100m Class E before being sent for a break. Will have no issue with 2700m of the main track and can repeat
- LAST DES BROUSSES – Most unlucky to have suffered traffic problems at Le Croise-Laroche last month only to be disqualified from 4th place. Is plainly in excellent shape, is ideally-engaged, and with application can finish in the mix
Summary: Barefoot following a necessary freshener at Caen early last month, LIKE MESLOIS (14) showed a particular liking for Vincennes during the winter and returns to the venue well-engaged and with every chance of opening his 2026 account. Pierre Belloche will still want to be wary of LUXE D’ERABLE (10) who is shod to preference for his first objective of the season, and LIEGO (13) who will hope to maintain the advantage he had over LIVE YOUR DREAMS (11) at Nort-sur-Erdre in early-May.

C3 – PRIX DE LA MATERNELLE LEONARD DE VINCI – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class D – Mounted – EUR € 59,000 - KADO SHINING – Went off the boil after winning at Saint-Galmier 12 months ago and has no possible chance
- KANSAS DU HOCTI – Has been like a horse reborn over recent weeks. Has form under these conditions and a realistic chance of securing the four-timer
- KILOU D’YMER – Honest individual that has not got his nose in front for over a year but otherwise always gives his best and a place in first 5 is well within his reach
- IBILI D’OCCAGNES – Returns to racing shod after being eliminated in an Argentan Class F in mid-April. Has freshness on his side but little else
- JAG ROYAL – Quality but delicate type that missed out by little at Caen last week on his return to the discipline. Comes here with morale intact, will have progressed for the race, and will be no easy touch
- KARNA DES BAULTS – Has 3 races under his belt since the winter break. Ended last season with 2 straight victories and with Adrien Lamy back in the saddle, can wrap this up
- HATE YOU BEYLEV – Modest sort that has made no impact all year and is not about to shake things up
- HOLLYWOOD GIRL – Showed serious form at Vincennes over the winter. Has just the one run in him since the break but is not incapable of getting a look in
- JAZZY THOURJAN – Ran 3rd over 2175m here mid-May before losing his action at Enghien 8 days later. Is ideally-engaged though and Alexis Collette will be keen to put things right
Summary: Never the easiest of horses to rely on, KARNA DES BAULTS (6) nevertheless presents very good course-and-distance credentials and will be reunited with Adrien Lamy who won with him last autumn. The pair will still come under pressure from the likes of KANSAS DU HOCTI (2) who has won his last 3 ridden races, and JAG ROYAL (5) who has shown considerable monte potential. At just 50 Euros from elimination, and very much at home over the main track, JAZZY THOURJAN (9) is difficult to ignore.

C4 – PX VILLE DE NOGENT SUR MARNE (ADALBERTA) – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 59,000 - IDEAL DANCER – Gave an honourable account on comeback despite being somewhat uneasy of stride, but will nevertheless have progressed for the race and can contest the finish
- HIPPARIS – Returns to the venue under better conditions than last month when 7th behind GITANO JACK (11). Has been allocated a good draw and will be expected to play an active role
- HIATUS – Sprang a 119-1 surprise when imposing over course and distance in January. Has not been quite as impressive since and cannot be considered a player this time
- IDOLE JALLERIE – Wonderfully-engaged mare returning to conditions she appreciates following pair of eliminations. Has not put a foot wrong at Vincennes this season and can wrap this up
- FAXIMA – Ran 3rd over 2850m here early last month before coming 4th in a Laval Class D 3 weeks later. Is nicely-positioned behind the car and Matthieu Abrivard gets the nod. First 5
- HEAVEN STAR – Has not been enjoying the best of form but hails from a very competent yard, and with Yoann Lebourgeois in the bike will be assured every chance
- IZIA DE MONGIVAL – Always gives her best but has not won since April 2025. Starts in front however and, barefoot this time, should not be written off
- IQUITO PLANCHETTE – Surprise winner at Lisieux in April but subsequently lost his action at Elbeuf, and will have few friends
- HIPPOCRATE DU TRIO – Has improved for every race this term but a repeat of his recent run here looks most improbable
- HERAKLION DESBOIS – Useful sort that has been holding his own here recently, but returns to racing shod and will have little to offer
- GITANO JACK – 3rd over track and trip on 13 May before coming 4th in a 2850m Class D a week ago. Is unlikely to get his nose in front but is unlikely to return home empty-handed either
- GOLZAC DE REM – Has been knocking at the door over recent weeks but has placed just the once over the main track and can be passed over
- IALKO JENILAT – Seldom seen at Vincennes these days but has previously made his presence felt here. Made a fine comeback in Bordeaux but has failed to place in 2 since, and others easier to back
- IRON MIJACK – Sprang a 63-1 surprise when 4th in a claimer over course and distance in April and has, unsurprisingly, failed to confirm
- HORSE DE GRAMMONT – Won over course and distance last August but has placed just once since. If he gets off on the right foot though, he could defy the draw and get in on the action
- HELALI DE MONTCEAU – Has started to come good again following a lean patch, latterly 4th of 16, a place behind GITANO JACK (11), in a Class D under these conditions on 13 May. Has pulled a rough number though and others preferred
Summary: IDOLE JALLERIE (4) may not be the easiest of horses to use but she likes Vincennes, won over course and distance earlier in the year, and from the 4 slot can confirm. IDEAL DANCER (1) was given a good freshener at Royan early last month, has been reconfigured, and despite the inside draw still looks a serious proposition. HIPPARIS (2) is better-placed behind the car than he was here last month, and Jean-François Senet will be determined to take advantage of the good opportunity. The complicated HEAVEN STAR (6) is also well-in here, has previously won in the day’s configuration, and will be no pushover if focused. GITANO JACK (11) is forced to start on the back row but he is plainly in good shape and must not be overlooked.

C5 – PRIX DE L’ECOLE VAL DE BEAUTE (MIMAS) – 2850m (a2m) – Class C – Harness – EUR € 46,000 - TULIPE OASIS – Has not been seen out since running 3rd in a 2100m Class C here in late-February. Is barefoot for the occasion but is still not a priority
- STONEHILLPEARL – Italian filly that imposed in Naples on just 2nd start back. Failed to deliver on Vincennes bow in January but Eric Raffin will be in the bike this time and should not be underestimated
- MATA HARI – Capable type but goes shod for her first start since February and will pose no threat
- GIANNA (ITY) – Crosses the Alps for the first time after some solid performances at home, but still looks to have her work cut out
- MARAVIGLIA – Takes to 2850m of the main track for the first time. Reassured here early last month and will not be far from the action if Franck Nivard keeps her trotting
- PASCHA VITANOVA – Fine Dutch element making her debut in France with shoes off for the first time. Imposed in Germany a month ago but a repeat seems most unlikely
- MERRY RIVER – Has not won for a year but has been acquitting herself competitively recently and her latest effort augurs well for her prospects
- MY LOVELY EBONY – Has picked up this season where she left off last September. Is arguably better over shorter but can still not be discounted
- MY HAPPY STORY – Modest filly that has done little to write home about for some time and is not about to change her ways
- MANHATTAN FRANCE – Fine servant that has already placed under these conditions but returns on a hat-trick of eliminations and others easier to support
- MUSIQUE CLASSIQUE – Back on the right road over recent weeks, placing twice at the venue. Is plainly close to her race and the revised configuration may just be the key to her success
- MANDARINA DE LOU – Has turned a corner since starting to race in current configuration. Takes on a better bunch this time but could still pick up minor honours
- GOGGIA – Raced better in a Class A over course and distance last time out than the result would suggest. Returns to a more reasonable category and looks eminently capable of challenging for the win
- MISS MOCCA – Very good servant with an impeccable Vincennes record. Is new to 2850m here, and steps up in category, but still has a lot to contribute. Attention
Summary: Back at the top of her game after a slow start to the season, MUSIQUE CLASSIQUE (11) gave an excellent account of herself under these conditions 3 weeks ago, sports a new formula, and is clearly due a win. MERRY RIVER (7) finished a place behind her that day and should again figure prominently, but she may first have to see off the rested GOGGIA (13) who enjoys a good entry. Despite the occasional sanction, MARAVIGLIA (5) seldom puts a foot out of line and will be supported accordingly.

C6 – PRIX DE L’ECOLE GUY MOCQUET (ISTRES) – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Gr3 – Harness – EUR € 70,000 - GLOBAL HOPE – Career debutante that qualified nicely at Caen last month but faces a very tough test first time out
- UNTOUCHABLE DARBY – Imposed on debut in Mons but failed to confirm next time out, and at this level is unlikely to influence the outcome
- ISCHIA JOY – Won at San Siro on 25 April but failed to confirm here 2.5 weeks ago. Is no slouch though and should not be entirely ruled out
- NOT FOR FUN – Handy element but has yet to get into her stride this term and will need to find more
- NIKITA DU MOUTHIEU – Got back in the winners’ circle after dominating a Class C under these conditions 2 weeks ago, but will have slim pickings in this class of race
- NAFI DE REVE D’OR – Solid here earlier in the year but was eliminated in last 2 and others easier to trust
- NYASSA DAXEL – Won over track and trip early last month, then ran 4th in 19 May race of reference despite suffering interference. Is not about to win this but should prove competitive at the business end of affairs
- NO WORRY – Got her career off to a flying start but subsequently went off the boil and can expect to have few takers
- NALA DE SMARVES – Made up for April elimination when just beaten by NEW WAVE (14) in a Class A over track and trip 2.5 weeks ago. Is clearly on the cusp of getting her nose in front and will be no shrinking violet. Chance
- NIKKI BEACH JISCE – Like a horse reborn since starting to race with pads. Has yet to be bested this season and on current trajectory can run away with this
- NIKITA – Ran 3rd to NEW WAVE (14) in a Class A over track and trip 2.5 weeks ago. Would have finished closer had she been afforded a run and William Bigeon will be justifiably confident of putting things right
- NONEKA – Useful filly that should not be too hastily-condemned for faulting in a Gr.2 under these conditions a month ago. Has already proved herself over course and distance and, if applied, can make first 5
- NOUBA DU BAS BOSQ – Sports pads for the first time after having been given an easy comeback here on 17 April. Has been successful over the inner course and is not one to be ignored
- NEW WAVE – Has taken superbly to Vincennes conditions, having won 2 of last 3, both over 2700m. Benefits from a very good entry and in current condition could well confirm her latest victory
Summary: Unbeaten in her last 3 starts, latterly a Class A over course and distance, NIKKI BEACH JISCE (10) will be well-backed to stay undefeated in 2026. Eric Raffin, who drove NEW WAVE (14) to both of her successes, has opted for Jocelyn Robert’s filly, but she will be more than ably partnered by Matthieu Abrivard. NALA DE SMARVES (9) has been knocking at the door and most recently finished very close to the Dubois filly. NIKITA (11) ran 3rd but encountered traffic problems that day; her traine will be in the bike this time though in the hope of setting the record straight.

C7 – PRIX DE L’ECOLE PAUL BERT (PRIX DE GIEN) – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Gr3 – Harness – EUR € 70,000 - ITSELF KRONOS – Has raced just twice to date, most recently coming 6th to NEBRASKA DE GINIER (10) on 19 May, however a repeat seems unlikely
- ICEBERG BI – Useful Italian colt making French debut on first start since late-March. Is competitively-shod for the first time, with Gabriele Gelormini reining, but may just need the race
- NANO UP STAR – Useful when focused but often bites off more than he can chew. Is better going right-handed though and it would be wise to keep one’s powder dry
- NECTAR DE LA FYE – Quality colt with better aptitude for the monte discipline and is here for reasons of conditioning
- NICE TO SEE YOU – Gave a good account on main-track debut when 3rd to NEBRASKA DE GINIER (10) in a Class A under these conditions 2.5 weeks ago. Matthieu Abrivard in the bike this time but looks more a minor place chance on this occasion
- NEMROD BUROIS – Has taken his game up a notch this season. Ran 2nd to NOTHINGELSEMATTERS (7) in late-April before coming 5th in 19 May race of reference and is unlikely to be far off the mark
- NOTHINGELSEMATTERS – Secured the 3-timer when easily winning a Class A over course and distance in late-April. Comes here fresh and can make it 4 on the trot
- NIKY ELDE – Quality colt that has been knocking at the door, latterly 2nd to NEBRASKA DE GINIER (10) in a Class A under these conditions 2.5 weeks ago, and should again finish in the mix
- NELSON DE BUSSET – Sports 4 pads for the first time on the back of 3 straight eliminations and is unlikely to spring any surprises
- NEBRASKA DE GINIER – Enjoying something of a resurgence since starting to race with pads. Has earned the right to race at this level and will be competitive when it matters
- NAUTILIO BELLO – Tricky type but got off the mark in a monte Gr.2 here early last month and will have other ambitions
- NET MONEY – Found the going too tough when last of 7 in Gr.2 Prix Kalmia over 2175m here 10 days ago. Is better than his latest results would suggest though and must not be overlooked
- NICE SPEED – Bit off too much when 7th in Gr.2 Prix Paul Karle over track and trip a month back. Will be more at his ease in this category and can bring the fight to NOTHINGELSEMATTERS (7)
Summary: Facile winner of a similar event here last week, NOTHINGELSEMATTERS (7) takes a step up in category but still looks the one to beat. Wonderfully-engaged at the limit of earnings, NICE SPEED (13) will find this company considerably more accessible than he did a month back, and looks the principal danger. NEBRASKA DE GINIER (10) has won all 4 starts this term, 2 of which under these conditions, and puts his name on the line once again. NET MONEY (12) failed to deliver in a Gr.2 over shorter here late last month but should prove considerably more competitive this time around.
SELECTIONS

C8 – PRIX DE L’ECOLE VICTOR HUGO (PRIX LYDIA) – 2850m (a2m) – Class C – Mounted – EUR € 46,000 - NEW DANCE – Career debutante that set off no fireworks in qualification at Grosbois in March and is unlikely to generate much interest
- NOSTRA DE L’ETRE – Sent for a break after 5 straight sanctions. Sports pads for the first time, on first start for 4 months, and should not be too far off the mark if Victor Saussaye manages to keep her trotting
- NOUMEA JENILOU – Made quite the impact when successful in a Caen Class E on 16 May only to lose it in the stewards room. Should appreciate the inner course profile and Adrien Lamy will be out for redemption
- NASTREE DU VINOIS – Flattering 4th in a 2175m Class D on monte debut here 3 weeks ago and would be preferred a level down
- NAGOYA DES MONGES – Showed her limits when 7th behind NEW ORLEANS WIND (11) in a 2175m Class D here 3 weeks ago, and can be confidently passed over
- NEW GIRL OF MAMAT – Placed on career debut last March but has failed to make it around in last 3 starts. Benjamin Rochard aboard for the first time but others still preferred
- NATASHA DES BAUX – Has placed just once in 3 starts under the saddle. Showed her form under harness 12 days ago but faces a much stiffer test this time around
- NINA ROSE – More than held her own on monte debut, coming 2nd to NEUILLY DE PLAY (10) at Caen 3 weeks ago and, on good behaviour can figure prominently
- NOBLE QUEEN – Was eliminated on monte debut here in late-April, but is clearly a bright light of the future and the more even surface of the inner course should suit her to a tee. Claim
- NEUILLY DE PLAY – Lost her maiden status 3 weeks ago after the disqualification of NOUMEA JENILOU (3). Has plainly taken well to her new vocation and, with application, can contest a place in the picture
- NEW ORLEANS WIND – Made a good impression on Vincennes bow on 19 May, running 2nd to a very good horse in a 2175m Class D. Takes on a better lot this time but thrives with her jockey and must be considered a priority
Summary: Given the opportunity to take her chances under the saddle after winning at Argentan, NOBLE QUEEN (9) failed to make it around with her stride in check, but gets another crack at it and Pierre-Yves Verva will be quietly confident of a big performance. NEW ORLEANS WIND (11) has done everything right with Eric Raffin in charge and takes to the inner course with a realistic chance of opening her Vincennes account. Disqualified after having easily imposed at Caen 3 weeks ago, NOUMEA JENILOU (3) and Adrien Lamy have a point to prove. NEUILLY DE PLAY (10) got off the mark, by default, that day and Noe Perron will be hopeful of another big effort.

Summary: In this wide-open contest, the answer could lie on the front line, with Luna de Narmont (10), who is being aimed at this first real target, Lola de la Douce (8), whose chance hinges on her temperament but deserves respect, and Lilona du Padoueng (6), who goes fully barefoot this time. From the 25-metre handicap, La Môme Beaufour (14), improved when racing without shoes and can get involved with the finish yet again.

Summary: A field of largely unexposed three-year-olds, some of whom look destined for a bright future. Nitaliano Mijo (3) is fitted with shoes for the first time, which could make all the difference. However, the fillies Naomie Duem (2), who bumped into a smart rival at Montauban, Nashville Blue (8), a winner at Laval as a two-year-old, and Night de Janeiro (1), worth noting on her reappearance, all have solid claims.

Summary: A competitive looking event and the talented but tricky, Less Time (8) got back to winning ways on the grass at Avignon. He can follow up on the sand. If he falters, Loulou’s Team (11), now back in top form, looks the one most likely to capitalise. Lewis du Padoueng (4), who has a great understanding with Frédéric Clozier, and the ultra-consistent Lewis de Blary (9), also bring strong claims to the table.

Kirkenesse (4), is much improved since racing without shoes and looks the main danger. Kaprijke Calendes (3), in excellent form and ill not go don easily this course and distance. KAPEO (5), who is thriving at present, and the unpredictable KALINEO PENEME (1), for whom it will likely be all or nothingn are dangers. - JUPPY UP – Has some fair form and finished 5th in class F at Salon-de-Provence over 2200m on 21 May. Can be competitive in this line-up
Summary: The victory should be fought out between JOHN STEED (5), who is transformed when racing unshod, and JIVA (8), who looks close to his peak level of form. A newcomer to the South-West, JAURIAS (9) is one to keep an eye on and should soon be making his presence felt. Summary: A chance is taken on Manhattan Emge (12), who must concede 50 metres but still commands plenty of confidence from his astute trainer. Marzipan (11), racing lighter for the very first time drops in class for this and is a threat. The progressive Mauricien (10) also looks a threat to these rivals. From the front line, Magnum Dairpet (7) is unlikely to hang about and could prove hard to peg back this time.

Stablemate GERICAULT (8) and ICARE DU BERYL (6) filled the places behind him recently over a shorter trip and once again look set to be in the thick of things. - FREYDIS – A well-beaten 6th in a conditions race over 5000m at Nancy on 12 October. Unlikely to be competitive in this company
Summary: GABSTONE (7) is a reliable performer who is always a contender, and after a decent run last time at this course over shorter in which he was running on strongly, he will be better over this trip and can claim his first win. SPES FULLKAM (5) was narrowly beaten last time after a rest and should improve returning to cross country racing. - IN MY MIND – A 5-length 2nd in a Steeplechase Handicap over 3900m at Wissembourg on 25 May. She is running well and should perform better back over hurdles

- MISTER DU BRIZAIS – A moderate 6th in a Steeplechase over 4000m at Orleans on 17 May. Still chasing a first win, he will need to up his game
Summary: SYSKO (1) could hardly have been more impressive when running out a facile winner of a Claimer, and there is no reason why he can’t notch up a quick double. The main challenge is likely to come from JILAIJONE (5), who also comes off a courageous victory and has a good record at this level. BEAUTYFULL EYES (9) has the ability to be a threat and needs to be taken seriously while LE PETIT NICE (7) has a decent record at this level.

Summary: SEEWAY (8) won on debut when arriving from the UK but that was on the sand. He will now be out to prove he can be as effective on turf. CAPITOL HILL (1) fought all he way to the line to win his last race and probably has the best recent form in the race. SPARKS OF LOVE (2) faced a far stronger field when 6th last time and can improve on that position in this company. NATIVE RULER (9) has a decent record at this course.

- READY KING – Winner of a Claimer over 1800m at Croise-Laroche on 17 May. Takes on stronger this time so will have more to do
- VALLANDO – A 1.5-length 2nd in a Handicap over this course and distance on 20 May. If he can repeat that performance he could prove hard to beat.
- LADY MADEIRA – A reasonable 6th in a Handicap over this track and trip on 20 May. She is probably better than that run may indicate
- VITUS BERING – Winner of a Handicap over this course and distance on 20 May. Fought well to win that race and jumps from a better draw this time
- MIAIMAOU – Finished 4th in a Handicap over 2000m at this track on 20 May. Looks well held by other on that last run
- BREMONTIER – A narrow winner of a Conditions race over 2125m at Wissembourg on 25 May. Will find it a lot tougher in this race
- LOVELY TESS – Winner of a race over 2200m at Hassloch in Germany on 16 May. Her earlier runs at this course have not been inspiring
- LADY ACE – A close-up 2nd in a Handicap over this course and distance on 20 May. She was touched off by VITUS BERING (6) in that race and is capable of turning the tables
- SECRET GLORY – A solid 3rd a Handicap over this course and distance on 20 May. She ran well in the race won by VITUS BERING (6) and should be up there again
Summary: There is quite a lot of close form in this race but there was a lot to like about the way VALLANDO (4) competed last time when second behind a decent performer and he can get it right this time. WOODSTONE (1) ran well in a race in Germany and should find these conditions ideal for him. There is not much to choose between LADY ACE (10) and VITUS BERING (6) on their last run but the former looks capable of reversing that earlier defeat.

- MR RIEM – Unplaced last time over the track and trip on April 4th in a Class 4 handicap behind ZARKAVIA (9). Hard to recommend
Summary: ZARAKIVA (9) is attractively weighted and has performed with credit in both outings since her victory over this course and distance on April 4. She gets the vote to come out on top.SILVER BEAUTY (8) looks the principal danger after a solid fourth-place finish at Strasbourg on May 8. LEPARD (1) produced a respectable runner-up effort at this track two starts ago and is another with strong claims. - PRINCESS OF HABO – Fair 3rd two runs back at Munich-Riem (DEU) in a conditions race over 2000m on May 1st. Can make the frame
- SORELINO – Unraced gelding by Intello, the dam won 2 races. From a good stable that can produce first time out winners. Can be expected to have a say in the finish
- BIJOUX STAR – Filly by Weltstar, the dam won 3 races over jumps. Likely to need this run for experience and is best watched for the time being
Summary: LEDESMA (5), from the Francis-Henri Graffard stable, looks the most logical choice in this open contest. He has finished third on both career starts at Lyon Parilly, most recently on May 8, and appears ready to go close. The main threat could be SORELINO (13), a newcomer from a yard capable of producing debut winners and one who warrants close market attention. IWAJUR (6) showed promise on debut at Saint-Cloud last month and is entitled to improve.VENT DU LARGE (1) also merits consideration.

- WINDJANA – Placed 3rd on her most recent start at this track over 2000m in a Class 4 handicap on May 20th. Can get another success
- GLORY DAYS – Unplaced on the one run this year over 2000m at Strasbourg in a Class 4 handicap on May 8th. Unlikely to be a threat
- M’GLAMOUR – Finished 4th last time out over 2500m in a Class 4 race on May 20th. Has work to do to make the top four
Summary: WINDJANA (6) shaped well when finishing third in a Class 4 handicap at this venue late last month and earns a narrow vote to go one better. SHACKLETON (1) has been below his best on his last four outings, but he remains capable of making an impact in a contest that lacks strength in depth. COLE CHOP (2) produced a solid effort at this track on his most recent start and holds strong each-way claims.
LOS SUENOS (4) disappointed here last time, but his success on the PSF in February suggests he cannot be overlooked

Summary: REPEL (5) faced a stiff assignment in a Group 3 contest at Deauville last time and should find this company much more manageable. She is preferred over KHALINSKHA (1), who rates the main danger. A dual winner seeking a hat-trick, she arrives on the back of a handicap success over 1500m at Cagnes-sur-Mer in late February and still appears open to progress. SARDINIAN RULER (3) made a successful second start in a maiden in January and remains a horse with considerable scope for improvement.

Gazi (2) is admirably consistent and should be in the mix of things et again. The unbeaten Nity Galeste (5), who has been faultless so far has to be given the utmost respect. Summary: Global Asset (8) made a highly encouraging debut last year, finishing between the useful Maintain and Heroiste. Despite returning from a break, she faces a field within her reach and could take plenty of beating. Estivale (9) is very well bred and surely capable of better than she showed on debut. The more experienced Amie Amour (7) and Tasteful (4) also have solid claims of winning a race soon and are others to consider.

Summary: Irresistiblement (5) produced a strong late effort at Chantilly last time and, on the upgrade, looks close to getting his head in front. He will, however, need to be wary of Earthquake (6), who had his measure when they met on debut, and Thing For The Hot (1), who has made a solid start to his career. Summary: MACALO DE GREZ (3) ran with promise on his debut at Saint-Malo in August last year. He should improve from that experience and is given the marginal vote with fitness taken on trust. His main threat could be MON BONHEUR (1), who has been placed on all three runs and is sure to make life difficult for the selection. MON BONHEUR (1) was a decent third two runs back at Auteuil and warrants respect. MEDALENN (6) has a nice pedigree and is worth a market inspection on debut.
