R1 AGEN LA GARENNE [R-H]

C1 – PRIX DE BORDEAUX – 2575m (a1m1/2) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 35,000

  1. IKY JOY – Serious type making first appearance since running 3rd over longer here last February. Has form in the day’s configuration but others still easier to back
  2. HAKIM DES CHAMPS – Has won 2 of 3 since returning from his spell earlier in the year. Has shown a particular liking for Agen and should figure prominently at the business end of the race
  3. JOLI MANNEQUIN – Has hardly put a foot wrong since the start of the year, latterly clinching a Class D at Beaumont-de-Lomagne 3.5 weeks ago. Is pitted against better this time but can still pick up a minor honour
  4. PANTOCRATOR – Authoritative winner of a 2700m Graignes Class D 11 days ago, on first start for 4 months. Will have improved for the race and looks thoroughly capable of doubling his money
  5. IPSON DU VERNAY – Capable sort but starts for the first time since late-March. Is competitively-shod but still needs to find more
  6. KIVALA RENARDIER – Showed marked improvement on Bernay run when imposing smartly over longer here on 30 May. Lana Henry has kept the drive and will be keen to confirm
  7. JASMIN GEMA – Consistently performant individual that has won 4 of last 6 starts, including over course and distance. Starts wide and steps up in category, but still looks a player
  8. IRENO DES PLAINES – Has been struggling to make his mark all year. Is forced to start wide and is unlikely to spring any surprises
Summary: A relatively open affair this but preference must still go to PANTOCRATOR (4) whose comeback victory at Graignes was eye-catching. Runner-up at Caen on his lone right-handed run, he looks a marginally better bet than KIVALA RENARDIER (6) who made short work of a Class C over 2625 here 2.5 weeks ago. Excellent at Agen, and winner of 3 of his last 4 starts, HAKIM DES CHAMPS (2) is unlikely to go down without a fight.

    C2 – PRIX D’AGEN – 2575m (a1m1/2) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 21,000
  9. MOUFLETTE – Showed improvement at Royan on 24 May prior to disappointing at Cholet last week. Is better than the result would suggest however and should not be overlooked
  10. MY DREAM DES MONTS – Took a few runs to warm up this term but ran convincing 2nd in a Grenade-sur-Garonne Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Is not a priority but is still good enough to pick up a first-5 payout
  11. MADGIK SAUTREUIL – Was pulled-up here in April but redeemed himself at Beaumont-de-Lomagne on 17 May when 3rd in a 2550m Class D, and will not be sent out at 48-1 this time
  12. MAESTRO BLANC – Gave a fine account at Caen 3 weeks ago when 2nd in a 2450m Class E. Has a lot going for him here and a place on the podium is well within his capability
  13. MINERVE DE VANDEL – Has taken her game to a new level this term, most recently missing out to a good Duvaldestin filly at Meslay-du-Maine. Trainer back in the bike but can be forgiven for feeling bullish
  14. MAESTRO PYLA – Has won 2 of the 4 races he has run this season, latterly with consummate ease. Runs over a similar trip here and will be well-backed to repeat
  15. MELISSA JOSSELYN – Lost her way late last year and has picked up this term where she left off. No threat
  16. MONA LISA ELLIS – Unremarkable filly that failed to deliver behind MADGIK SAUTREUIL (3) at Beaumont-de-Lomagne a month back and will have little to offer
  17. MASCOTTE DU STADE – It took 10 months but returned to winning ways in a Class F at Villedieu-les-Poëles in early-May. Comes here fresh and even though not ideally-drawn, should nevertheless prove competitive when it matters
  18. MIRA D’HAVAROCHE – Useful element but has not been seen out for over 2 months and with shoes fitted will have nothing to offer
  19. MYSTIC D’AVE – Showed at Reims then Caen that he is clearly back on track. Cannot be considered a priority but cannot be ruled out either
  20. MOON STAR – Has looked decidedly ordinary so far this season. Has been freshly re-shod but still appears to have her work cut out
  21. MARPA D’IROISE – Had been on a good run of form prior to being eliminated at Royan on 24 May. Takes on a good lot here and the draw will do him no favours
Summary: Surprisingly eliminated at Vichy in May, MAESTRO PYLA (6) made amends early this month when comfortably imposing at Beaumont-de-Lomagne; he should take well to Agen conditions and from the front line can make this his own. MINERVE DE VANDEL (5), however, has been thriving in both disciplines lately and even in the absence of Eric Raffin still looks a player. MADGIK SAUTREUIL (3) defied his odds last time out, goes well for Pierre Geray, and the draw will only enhance his prospects. Reassuring at Caen late last month, MAESTRO BLANC (4) will again be reined by Alexandre Abrivard who will appreciate breaking from the 4 slot.
    SELECTIONS

    C3 – PRIX DE L’AGGLOMERATION D’AGEN – 2625m (a1m1/2) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 32,000
  22. KAHORS DE LA PIECE – Hardy element with form at the venue but has not been seen out since last November and can be passed over
  23. KOALA DU DROPT – Ran 3rd in a Beaumont-de-Lomagne Class E in April but was considerably less performant at Toulouse next time and is unlikely to have many friends
  24. KIR DE KACY – Has not got his nose in front for over a year and is not about to create an upset this time either, but acquitted himself well on re-entry and is worth keeping an eye on
  25. KLANT D’OLIVERIE – Unremarkable trotter with just one race in him since the winter break and has no possible chance
  26. KEEPSAKE – Pleasantly surprising winner of a Montauban Class G 3.5 weeks ago. Takes on a considerably better bunch this time and is unlikely to confirm
  27. KERDYNA MATCH – Has ample ability but has so far failed to convince this term and will first need to re-establish her credentials
  28. KATANGA DE BLARY – Useful on a good day and has previously placed here. Sports a fresh formula for return from a lengthy break and is unlikely to spice things up
  29. KIFILL CHOISI – Sprang something of a surprise when 4th of 14 in a Grenade-sur-Garonne Class F late last month. Breaks in front here but still no more than a minor place chance
  30. KEEPING JYL – Acquitted herself well in both Toulouse and Bordeaux earlier in the year. Comes here fresh, is nicely-engaged, and Maxime Grasset will be keen to make hay. Chance
  31. KIRELLA – Quality mare that showed at Ecommoy 2.5 weeks ago what she is best-known for. Top pilot at the helm this time and from the front line has a realistic chance of imposing
  32. KOLORADO – Serious sort with nothing to prove at this level but is still in conditioning-mode and best to keep one’s powder dry
  33. KASGAGNAT – Has raced just twice this year, winning one and running 5th in the other. Is competitively-shod for return to the track and can challenge for a place in the frame
  34. KAROUZO – Ran 5th in Toulouse before coming 4th in a Montauban Class G on 25 May. Incurs the penalty once again but still has the wherewithal to pick up a first-5 cheque
  35. KERLAZ D’AVE – Serious type that has been knocking at the door lately. Is first-time barefoot, ran 2nd on sole Agen start, and must be taken very seriously
  36. KIKI – Has won 2 and placed once in 3 starts at the venue. Showed his form at Beaumont-de-Lomagne a month ago and should again finish in the mix
  37. KAISER CHANCE – Failed to confirm Langon performance when eliminated at Beaumont-de-Lomagne a month ago. Is well-engaged on back line but others still easier to back
Summary: New to Agen, but most reassuring at Ecommoy late last month, KIRELLA (10) benefits from a terrific entry and with Alexandre Abrivard in the bike, can win this. He will still be keeping a watchful eye on the in-form but tricky KEEPING JYL (9) who will be reunited with Maxime Grasset. KERLAZ D’AVE (14) incurs the penalty but is plainly close to his race and, barefoot for the first time, must be respected. Competitively-shod following a well-earned spell, KASGAGNAT (12) has never failed to deliver under these conditions and is unlikely to let the side down. KIKI (15) seldom disappoints in his current configuration and simply excels at Agen.
    SELECTIONS
    KIRELLA (10) – KEEPING JYL (9) – KERLAZ D’AVE (14) – KASGAGNAT (12)
    C4 – GRAND NATIONAL DU TROT – 2625m (a1m1/2) – Gr3 – Harness – EUR € 90,000
  38. LUPIN D’OLMEN – Takes a dip in class, and goes right-handed for the first time, after coming 6th in a Vincennes Gr.2 in early-May. Comes here fresh and looks main danger to KARNAC WOOD (6)
  39. KANO – Has been going good-guns all year and runs as well right-handed as left-. Takes a hike in class but has earned the right to race in this company and is unlikely to be far from the action
  40. GAILLARDE QUERAY – Useful mare but has better references in the other code and can be passed over
  41. JASMIN DU VALLON – Was unable to secure the hat-trick when eliminated in a Vichy Class D 3 weeks ago. Is clearly in form though and reverts to a previous formula in a bid to set the record straight
  42. IRON JET – Is useful on a good day, and starts in front here, but 4 straight sanctions do little to inspire confidence
  43. KARNAC WOOD – Has failed to deliver on just one occasion this season. Impressive in last 2 starts and can wrap this up if he gets to the front early
  44. JENTIL DIESCHOOT – Ran 3rd in Chateaubriant leg and would have finished closer than 6th behind KARNAC WOOD (6) at Le Croise-Laroche had he not faulted in the final stages. Starts in front once again and is in with a realistic shout of making the frame
  45. HAMIGO – Undeniably capable but has never been tested at this level. In this small field though could pick up some prizemoney
  46. HIWI ROCQ – Encouraging 3rd in a Caen Class C on 9 May but was unable to confirm at Nimes next time and will have few takers
  47. GRAND TRIO LUDOIS – Has looked decidedly ordinary since placing at Cagnes in March and will have nothing to bring to the party
  48. HEDIC GEMA – Left a good impression when 4th in Le Croise-Laroche leg before failing to confirm at Laval. Starts on 2nd line but presents solid GNT references and must not be underestimated
Summary: A fine servant with nothing to prove at this level, KARNAC WOOD (6) was surprisingly beaten in the Le Croise-Laroche stage last month, after having imposed at Laval, and Hugues Monthulé will be determined to put things right. That being said, LUPIN D’OLMEN (1) has won 4 of the 6 races he has run this year and will be no pushover if he turns. GNT points-leader JENTIL DIESCHOOT (7) is close to his best and will be reunited with Alexandre Abrivard for whom he won the Amiens stage in March. KANO (2) steps up in category after running 3rd in a Vichy Class A early this month and in present form is easy to like for a place on the rostrum.
    SELECTIONS

    C5 – PRIX DE TOULOUSE – 2625m (a1m1/2) – Class D – Mounted – EUR € 35,000
  49. IMPULSIF D’AVENIR – Has not been seen under the saddle since January. Has been acquitting himself honourably but under these conditions is unlikely to shake things up
  50. IN LOVE GEDE – Has done nothing noteworthy for the past 11 months and, under these conditions, will have little to contribute
  51. ICARE BRILLOUARD – Regularly a case of all-or-nothing in this branch of the business. Has been showing his form, was 3rd in 30 May race of reference, and the front-line start will only work in his favour
  52. JIPEBE – Useful trotter with solid monte references. Goes barefoot as he was at Angers last month and can get a look in
  53. JET DU RAVARY – Clinched victory on return to competition 3 weeks ago, securing an Hyeres Class E. Victorious under harness on sole Agen start and should be considered a major player
  54. JAGUAR GEMA – In the frame in 2 of 3 this season, most recently 2nd to JANTARA DESBOIS (9) in a Class D over course and distance on 30 May. Is unlikely to turn the tables but will be competitive at the business end of the race
  55. JUVENTUS – Not currently as sharp as she was last summer. Is new to the venue and even from the front row will struggle to make her mark
  56. IWAN D’AVEL – Has yet to show any particular flair for the code and can be confidently disregarded
  57. JANTARA DESBOIS – Can prove a handful but has otherwise been in cracking form. Won unopposed late last month and despite the handicap still looks the one to beat
  58. JACANA – Takes first competitive monte steps following some good performances under harness. Presents solid Agen references and will be barefoot for the occasion. Attention
  59. INSTANT GRAVE – Back under the saddle following a pair of modest harness efforts. Will be barefoot though, with Alexandre Abrivard in the irons, and warrants respect
  60. HURIEL LUDOIS – Gave a fine account on recent return to the code, running 3rd in a Laval Class C early this month. Drops down the category-ladder and could well bring the fight to JANTARA DESBOIS (9)
Summary: Commanding winner here late last month, to complement his Vichy success, JANTARA DESBOIS (9) is unbeaten with Tamara Mathias-Maisonnette aboard and the hat-trick is well within her reach. HURIEL LUDOIS (12) though put on a good show at Laval 2 weeks ago and, with form maintained, can again finish close. 25m better off, JET DU RAVARY (5) got straight down to business on his first start back, will have come on for the run, and will be no easy touch. Runner-up to Yannick Henry’s mare, JAGUAR GEMA (6) is clearly close to his race and is eminently capable of picking up another place cheque.

    C6 – PRIX DU PASSAGE D’AGEN – 2625m (a1m1/2) – Class F – Harness – EUR € 27,000
  61. INROCK DU BELLAY – Surprise 5th in an amateurs Class G here 2.5 weeks ago, but was unable to confirm at Eauze and can be ignored
  62. JUST A SONG – Can prove a handful but has been acquitting herself decently. Goes barefoot following her good Toulouse prep and should have the wherewithal to make first 5
  63. JUNO ELLIS – Returns to a hard surface after running 6th of 11 in a Villeneuve Class F 11 days ago. Has previously imposed under these conditions but looks a minor place prospect at best this time
  64. JOYAU DE REM – Springs the occasional surprise but has just one run in him since the layoff and will be shod for the occasion
  65. J’ADORE CELESTE – Quick to find his way this term, most recently running 3rd in a Chateaubriant Class F 10 days ago. Is new to Agen but in current condition is hard to ignore
  66. JAGUAR D’AIMTE – Honest type that has yet to deliver at Agen but has been pleasing on turf lately and, considering the opposition, looks competitive for a place in the picture this time
  67. JOBERT DU MOULIN – Ran 2nd at Montauban mid-May before losing his action under the saddle at Miramont-de-Guyenne. Is confirmed here and is well-placed to contest the finish
  68. JEAGLE DREAM – Has consistently failed to make the frame since August 2023 and will have nothing to offer
  69. JOHN STEED – Won 2 of last 3, latterly a Toulouse Class F 12 days ago. Is plainly at the top of his game and even from the 2nd line still looks the one to beat
  70. ISSALIO – Useful element with a pair of return runs under his belt. Has raced and placed here and cannot be discounted
  71. IVANHOE PAULOIS – Twice pleased here earlier in the spring but appears to have come off the boil and will have nothing to contribute
  72. JULLOU – Already twice a winner this spring but has failed to deliver in last 2. Sports shoes for the occasion and others preferred
  73. ISSU DE CORTEM – Takes a notable step back in category after failing to deliver at Eauze 10 days ago. Was not disgraced here last April and even from the back row can give this a good go
  74. HAYRTON MAGIC – Useful on a good day but has been out of sorts over recent weeks and must first get his house in order
  75. IDEAL DE BEZILLAT – Lost his way late last season and has picked up this year where he left off. Disregard
  76. JEANBLANC DUEM – Very disappointing since returning to competition this spring. Has placed just once in 7 Agen runs and can be passed over
Summary: An absolute dynamo when barefoot, JOHN STEED (9) made up for his late-May monte blip when imposing at Toulouse just six days later and can repeat if Theo Briand gets him off on the right foot. 25m better off, JOBERT DU MOULIN (7) returns to the harness code in excellent shape and has already won at the venue. Even though off the track for almost a year, J’ADORE CELESTE (5) has taken no time getting back in the game, and the front-row start will only work to his advantage. JAGUAR D’AIMTE (6) may be no star but he always gives what he can and in this company can finish in the mix.
    SELECTIONS

    C7 – PRIX DE BEAUMONT DE LOMAGNE – 2625m (a1m1/2) – Class F Amateur Drivers – Harness – EUR € 8,000
  77. JIBUS – Surprise 2nd in a Class G at Grenade-sur-Garonne on comeback 2.5 weeks ago, however a repeat seems improbable
  78. JUST BLESS – Wonderful servant in the amateur category. Sports pads for first objective of the season, just as he did when 2nd here last September, and should not be too far off the mark
  79. KIERA MAGIC – Takes a notable dip in category after failing to fire in a Toulouse Class E earlier in the month. Is unlikely to paint the town red but has a reasonable shot at a spot in first 5
  80. JASMIN DU PERRE – Excellent servant with an envious record in the amateur division. Is new to Agen but showed his competitive spirit at Saint-Malo last month and must be taken seriously
  81. HOBBY DE L’EVRE – Modest type that has made no impact for some time and is not about to change his ways
  82. ISARIA DU GUELIER – Back in the amateur division after a pair of modest runs in the pro ranks. Has placed just once in 4 starts here though and can be ignored
  83. KING CRIMSON – Reliability not his strong suit but is hard to fault when focused. Starts in front and will be no soft touch if he manages to keep his action together
  84. HISTOIRE VERTE – Hardy mare that ran 4th in an Eauze Class F 10 days ago. Incurs the penalty once more but cannot be ruled out
  85. GRANADOS – Failed to make the grade when unplaced behind HISTOIRE VERTE (8) in an Eauze Class F 10 days ago. On the back line again and chances appear slim
  86. IMOKO DU BOUILLON – In the frame in last 2, most recently 3rd in a Beaumont-de-Lomagne claimer, but faces a better lot this time and can be passed over
  87. HADES DE SUCE – Terrific campaigner at this level of competition. Gave an excellent account on comeback a month ago and will be expected to apply the pressure on IF DE LA COUDRE (13)
  88. JET DE LA FERME – Never the easiest of horses to gauge, and needs to reassure, but at this level may just find his mark
  89. IF DE LA COUDRE – Back in the amateur category after securing 3 straight in the professional ranks. Has a lot going for her him here, Thomas Martin knows him well, and is easy to fancy for the win
Summary: Enjoying something of a renaissance since moving yards, IF DE LA COUDRE (13) returns to the amateur category on a 4-timer and, given the entry, will be a tough nut to crack. Thomas Martin will still be mindful though of HADES DE SUCE (11) whose record at this level speaks for itself. KING CRIMSON (7) is 25m better off, clearly in form, and with application is unlikely to let the side down. JASMIN DU PERRE (4) is as game as they come, is close to winning another, and looks competitively well in.
    SELECTIONS

    C8 – PRIX DU TABAC PRESSE DU CENTRE – 2625m (a1m1/2) – Class B – Harness – EUR € 30,000
  90. NAOMIE DUEM – Excellent in first 2 starts but was eliminated at Toulouse earlier in the month and can be ruled out
  91. NETWORK – Got off the mark at Arras on 10 May before running 2nd in a Nancy Class D later in the month. In better company this time but should nevertheless hold his own
  92. NIGHT DE JANEIRO – Impressive here earlier in the year and most recently ran 2nd on re-entry at Toulouse, but is being aimed too high this time
  93. NEW D’ARAC – Lost his maiden status in a Class C at Beaumont-de-Lomagne a month back, then was quickly eliminated here a week later. Pleased on sole Agen start and from the front row can give this a good go
  94. NIGHT DE BANVILLE – Placed in 2 of last 4 but was properly beaten here 2.5 weeks ago and others preferred
  95. NIARKOS DU CEBE – Promising colt that has yet to disappoint when focused. Is made to race right-handed and the engagement of Theo Briand may be just the ticket
  96. NOT ALONE – Returns to racing clockwise after having encouraged in Marseille. Has better right-handed references and is easy to like for a place in the picture
  97. NONONINO – Showed his form at Caen despite losing his action in a monte Gr.2 on 9 May. Is new to the venue but is plainly a good future prospect and can finally open his 2026 account
Summary: Back under harness after faulting on his ridden bow at Caen last month, NONONINO (8) nevertheless looked in peak condition. Winner of his sole right-handed harness start, he enjoys a good entry here and, with application, should take all the beating. NIARKOS DU CEBE (6) has come close more than once to losing his maiden tag, is 25m better off, and will have his chances if Theo Briand gets him off on the right foot. NOT ALONE (7) gave a reassuring account at Marseille-Borely, is on the back row here, but on good behaviour can trot her way into the money.

  2. KAVALE DU CHATELET – Showed some improvement when fifth in a class E over this track and trip on 31 May. Remains barefoot and has a place chance
  3. I LOVE WILLIAM – Battling to find best form and finished 10th in a class F at Erbray over 3200m on 14 June. Others make more appeal

  13. JIOSCO DES OMBRES – Unplaced in a class H at Carhaix over 2800m on 17 May. Capable of much better and has claims in a race of this nature
  14. ISTRIA – Victorious in a class G at Laon over 2850m on 7 June. Remains barefoot and is capable of following up
Summary: KALISTO FALINE (1) was not disgraced last time in a decent field. A winner on his sole start at Chartres, he makes his amateur debut with solid claims. JIOSCO DES OMBRES (13) returns to the grade of his 3 May success and should lead the opposition along with INES ORANGE (11), who recently got back to winning ways in a claimer. A recent winner with today’s partner, ISTRIA (14) is also capable of winning a race of this nature.

  17. MADO D’AVRIL – Disqualified in three of last four starts, the latest in a class H mounted race at Gournay-en-Bray over 2550m on 25 May. Capable of being a threat to these rivals
  18. MISTRAL DE CLERCE – Much improved last run when third in a class E mounted race at Laval over 2850m on 11 June. Remains barefoot and should contest the finish
  19. MASTER DU NORD – Unreliable and was unplaced in a class F harness race at Lyon-Parilly over 2850m on 21 May. Needs to find a few lengths to score
  20. MADONETTE – Did not show her best when 6th in a class E munted race at Cholet over 2800m on 9 June. Remains barefoot and could make the frame
  21. MANAPANIS – Has some fair form and finished fifth in a class F mounted race at Le Croise-Laroche over 2825m on 23 March. Might play a minor role
  22. MAMAROSE – In good form and was runner-up in a class F mounted race at Saint-Omer over 2625m on 12 April. Reverts to barefoot and can go one place better
  23. MAYTIKA DU VAL – Disqualified twice in last three starts, including last time out in a class F mounted race at Graignes over 2700m on 6 June. Has a place chance on best form
  24. MILANO NELLIERE – Unreliable and finished 7th in a class F harness race at La Roche-Posay over 3150m on 31 May. Capable of earning some money
  25. MY STORY – Unreliable and finished 6th in a class E at Ecommoy over 2750m on 31 May. Remains barefoot and could get into the mix of things this time around
  26. MEC DES RACQUES – A runner-up in a class F harness race at Gournay-en-Bray over 2550m on 25 May. Tries barefoot and could earn some money back in a mounted race
Summary: Presented barefoot, a configuration in which she recorded her only victory, MAMAROSE (8) has the means to take control of the race. MISTRAL DE CLERCE (4) ran well last time at Laval after a string of disqualifications. If staying wise, he is one of the better chances. MY STORY (11), is unreliable but quite capable of troubling the judge, and MADO D’AVRIL (3), partnered by Mathieu Mottier for the occasion are others to consider.

Summary: Many of the runners are lightly weighted so both form and experience should give SHE’S BOX OFFICE (4) the upper hand in this race. NYMPHENBURG (2) has finished fourth in her two races and although well beaten in both, should be competitive at this level. MOABI (4) is in a good vein of form and she must have a winning chance. PIERRE LE GRAND (2) has regained his best form and runs well under Hugo Besnier.
