R1 CABOURG [R-H]

C1 – PRIX DU CONSEIL REGIONAL DE NORMANDIE – 2750m (a1m1/2) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 29,000

  1. KAM DEGE – Successful in a Class F at Clairefontaine over 2900m on 12 July. Reliability not his strong suit but is clearly in shape, although the category may be a bit too high
  2. KARA DE KER – Finished 7th in a Class F at Bernay over 2800m on 12 July. Pleased last time here but is still being conditioned and best to hold off
  3. LOOK DES CAILLONS – Has failed to make much of an impression since imposing at Bordeaux in March and even from the front row looks a minor place chance at best
  4. KINGSTON DU MINON – Has twice failed to confirm Le Touquet performance, most recently 6th in a Class F at Montier En Der over 3025m on 5 July. Starts on front row though and with application could finish in the mix
  5. LITTLE KING – Finished 5th in a Class F at Bernay over 2800m on 31 May, after having pleased at Les Elbeuf. Comes here fresh but is clearly taking on too much
  6. KRONOS DES LANDES – Finished 6th in a Class E at Agon-Coutainville over 3450m on 5 July. Has looked rather ordinary since late-May and will need to get his house in order
  7. KEOPS DES HAUBOIS – Has merit but not the easiest of horses to handle. Will be fully-fit by now, starts on front row, and returning to racing shod may be just what the doctor ordered. First 5
  8. LOUSTIC DE FLAM – Eliminated in a Class D at Lisieux over 2725m on 20 June after having imposed at Caen in early-May. Will be shod for the occasion and best to keep one’s powder dry
  9. LEONARDO DU DERBY – Has been knocking at the door, most recently 3rd in a Class D at Enghien over 2875m on 27 June. Ran 3rd on sole Cabourg start and can again figure prominently
  10. LELIA FRANCE – Useful on a good day but is being prepared for a campaign in the other code and can be passed over
  11. KILL AND KISS – Has not been seen out since finishing 2nd in a Class D at Enghien over 2250m on 2 August 2025 and is not about to spice things up
  12. LEXCELLENT DU METZ – Outclassed the opposition in a Class D at Lisieux over 2725m on 20 June. Goes barefoot again and can repeat
  13. LUNGA DES BROUSSES – Made up for a pair of sanctions when fourth in a Class D at Le Croise-Laroche over 1900m on 22 June. Is new to the venue but will be barefoot this time and merits considerable respect
  14. LE BOLIDE – Has been showing improvement, latterly third in a Class B at Ecommoy over 2750m on 31 May. Is hard to knock going right-handed and looks a serious proposition
    Summary: LEXCELLENT DU METZ (12) made a winning start for Alexandre Buisson and reunites with Yoann Lebourgeois in a legitimate bid to follow up. LE BOLIDE (14), nicely-engaged here, and LEONARDO DU DERBY (9), who is close to his race, head the opposition ahead of LUNGA DES BROUSSES (13), who appears to be back on the right track.

  15. KASH DES CAILLONS – Won a Class E at Niort over 3575m on 7 June. Ran 2nd in a Vincennes Gr.3 earlier in the year and, although not a priority, will generate some interest
  16. HUGO OCCAGNES – Finished 8th in a Class D at Vichy over 2950m on 1 July, continuing a modest return to competition, and can be ruled out
  17. FALTO DES LANDIERS – Was preparing for this when 7th in a harness Class A at Agon-Coutainville over 3425m on 5 July. Stays shod this time and best to wait
  18. GARD – Disqualified in a Class C at Enghien over 2875m on 13 June, after having imposed at Caen in early-May. Has form with François Lagadeuc and will have his supporters
  19. LOVISSIME – Finished lacklustre 8th in a Groupe I at Vincennes over 2850m on 21 June. Takes a notable dip in class though and can start to rehabilitate herself
  20. IMPERIAL COGLAIS – Failed to confirm April performance when last of 14 in a Class C at Vincennes over 2850m on 26 May, and will have nothing to offer
  21. JUST FOR BACK – Eliminated on comeback in a Enghien Gr.3 over 2875m on 9 July. Is entrusted to Mathieu Mottier this time and will be expected to set the record straight. Claim
  22. INDIGO DE FONTAINE – Disqualified last time out in a harness Groupe II at Vichy over 2950m on 30 June. Debuts in the discipline sporting modified shoeing but still appears to have too much to do
  23. JEANNETTE PRIORY – Unseen under the saddle for some time, and has yet to get around unscathed, but is plainly at the top of her game and the engagement of Benjamin Rochard will only work to her advantage. Chance
  24. HOMER DE FROMENTEL – 6th in a Groupe III at Enghien over 2875m on 26 June. Ran 5th under these conditions last time here but can expect to have few friends
  25. INSHORE – Was fifth in a Groupe III at Enghien over 2875m on 26 June, however a repeat seems unlikely
  26. HEURISTIQUE – Ran good third in a Class A at Vincennes over 2850m on 12 June. Is barefoot for return to racing right-handed and must not be underestimated
  27. HEDEN CRUZ – Out of the picture in last 2, latterly 9th in a Groupe III at Vincennes over 2175m on 2 June. Is difficult to fault when focused though and, given the engagement, will be worth retaining
  28. HARMONISTA – Finished 6th in a harness Groupe III at Laval over 2850m on 3 June. Reliability not her strong suit but can trot when focused, enjoys a good entry, and at this level has nothing to prove. Place prospect
    Summary: Runner-up in this race last year with Mathieu Mottier, who is back in the saddle, JUST FOR BACK (7) has the ability to repeat, provided he can handle the pace. JEANNETTE PRIORY (9), excellent at Vichy but yet to convince in her few appearances under the saddle, HEURISTIQUE (12), for whom racing right-handed is a potential concern, HARMONISTA (14), ideally entered, are also capable of playing leading roles.

  29. LEANE DU PARC – Produced some decent efforts during the spring but out of the picture in last 2, latterly eliminated in a Class E at Vichy over 2150m on 29 June. With application though, can start to make her presence felt again
  30. LIZENN D’ERQUY – Eliminated in a Class F at Saint Malo over 2950m on 9 July. Has done nothing of note for some time and, with shoes back on, is not about to begin now
  31. LOVHELEN D’OR – Plainly back in top form, latterly 3rd in a Class E at Amiens over 2900m on 10 July. Has pulled a good number and Alexis Garandeau will be expecting to deliver
  32. LADY CHANNEL – Got straight back in the game on first objective of the season when 2nd in a 2750m Class E here 2 weeks ago. Enjoys an excellent draw and is easy to fancy for the win
  33. LALOU D’AMOUR – Quality individual but is never far from faulting, most recently eliminated in a Class F at Le Croise-Laroche over 2825m on 22 June. Sports 4 pads for first time and, if behaved, can give LADY CHANNEL (4) a run for her money
  34. LOVELY BRUYERE – Finished 4th in a Class F at Saint Malo over 2950m on 9 July after having been sanctioned at Caen in mid-June. Is reunited with Arthur Rebèche who won with her at Lisieux and from the front row can get in on the action
  35. LADY MORNING STAR – Has been out of sorts for past 6 weeks, most recently eliminated in a Class F at Les Andelys 12 days ago, and can expect to have few takers
  36. LUCIOLE DES ARRIS – Is as tricky as they come and was most recently eliminated for 4th time in succession. Looked to be in shape here 10 days ago though and will be no pushover if Yoann Lebourgeois keeps her trotting
  37. LADY DE MELLERAY – Has ample ability but has been a write-off this season and has no realistic chance
  38. LITTLESNABE – Lost her action in a Class E at Bernay over 2800m on 28 June, pouring salt on an otherwise already open wound, and can be ruled out
    Summary: LADY CHANNEL (4) appreciates this track, having finished second on all three of her starts here, and showed last time that she is ready to return to winning ways. Benjamin Rochard will need to be wary of a freshly-reconfigured LALOU D’AMOUR (5), provided she keeps her action together, and LOVHELEN D’OR (3), who looks close to her race. The unpredictable LUCIOLE DES ARRIS (8) can also do well.

  39. EXPRESS D’ARC – Has not been as sharp this term as he was over the winter, latterly 9th in a Class D at Cabourg over 2750m on 3 July, and not an obvious choice
  40. JOKER GEMA – Gave a good account to comfortably win a Class D at Vichy over 2950m on 24 June. Has a particular liking for Cabourg and merits respect
  41. PANTOCRATOR – Unable to secure the hat-trick when fifth in a Class B at Chatelaillon over 2625m on 12 July. Is clearly in good shape though and despite the hike in category can pick up a cheque
  42. MACAHAN – Was victorious in a Class D at Cabourg over 2750m on 10 July after having stumbled in Gr.3 Prix de Grasse and, with application, will be no soft touch
  43. KANO – Finished 3rd in a Groupe III at Agen Le Passage over 2625m on 17 June. Has not put a foot wrong since the start of the year and must be taken seriously
  44. HEUREUX DE FLEUR – Was second in a Class C at Vincennes over 2100m on 21 June 16 days after having come 3rd in a Class C at the same venue, and has the wherewithal to pick up a first-5 cheque
  45. IBIS PETTEVINIERE – Returned to successful ways in an Enghien claimer over 2875m on 25 June but will have few takers this time
  46. KARNAC WOOD – Surprisingly eliminated last time out in a Groupe III at Agen Le Passage over 2625m on 17 June. Is plainly at the top of his game though and can wrap this up
  47. FORREST GUMP SET – Finished 3rd in an Enghien claimer over 2875m on 25 June. Is confirmed at a superior level but still looks to have it all to do
  48. LITTLE BROWN – Was fifth in a Groupe III at Vincennes over 2850m on 21 June, his first start since March. Will only have improved for the run and looks main threat to KARNAC WOOD (8)
  49. HAMIGO – Disqualified last time out in a Class D at Biarritz over 2150m on 1 July. Has not been disgraced since switching yards but has nothing to offer here
  50. DIABEL – Was runner-up in a Class C at Enghien over 2150m on 27 June. takes on a better bunch this time though and will need to find more
  51. JAZZMAN (GER) – Was fourth in a Groupe III at Enghien over 2875m on 4 July, just his 2nd start back. Incurs the penalty on this occasion and is unlikely to spring any surprises
    Summary: KARNAC WOOD (8), impressive winner of a Quinté at Laval, has since confirmed that form by finishing second in a strong renewal of the GNT leg at Le Croisé-Laroche. In good form and proven racing clockwise, he should be firmly involved in the finish. LITTLE BROWN (10) ran well in the Gr.3 Prix de Grasse last time and goes barefoot on this occasion. He heads the opposition together with MACAHAN (4), who scored in determined fashion under the saddle at this track last time, and KANO (5), who has been admirably-consistent since the start of the year. A genuine right-handed specialist, JOKER GEMA (2) confirmed his good form at Vichy last time and can aim for a top-five finish.

  52. MADISON PLANCHETTE – Third in a Class H at Villedieu Les Poeles over 2800m on 14 June but in this category has no possible chance
  53. MORNY DE TROUVILLE – Was fifth in a Class E at Vichy over 2950m on 30 June, his first appearance since scoring twice earlier in the year. Will have come on for the race but would have better prospects a level down
  54. MALIBU – Has not been seen out since being eliminated in a monte Class D at Vincennes over 2200m on 6 January. Is barefoot for comeback and should not be underestimated
  55. MUST PLEIN CHENE – Somewhat made up for Caen clinker when fourth in a 2150m Vichy Class E a month back but will have a lot more to find
  56. MYTHIQUE GEMA – Was third in a Class E at Cabourg over 2725m on 7 July, having won 2 of previous 3 starts. Is clearly in rude health and might just appreciate this trip a bit more. Chance
  57. MAESTRO CASH – Eliminated in a Class D at Caen over 2450m on 22 June, but clearly showed his form that day and with application can make amends and win this
  58. MEC D’ERCOURT – Impressive earlier in the year before coming off the boil. Sports a fresh configuration for re-entry but still not a concern
  59. MAESTRO BLANC – Runner-up in last 2, most recently a Class E at Agen Le Passage over 2575m on 17 June. Is unlikely to open his right-handed account but should nevertheless give this a good go
  60. MAKAO DE REVE D’OR – 5th in a Class E over track and trip 10 days ago. Has won 4 of last 7 starts, and even in the day’s configuration can make first 5
  61. MUST DE BANVILLE – Excellent runner-up in a Class E at Vichy over 2150m on 13 June. Is very hard to fault when focused and has a reasonable chance of going one-better this time
  62. MAMBO DE CAHOT – Finished 7th in a Class D at Caen over 2450m on 22 June after having impressed at Vichy 3 weeks earlier. Benefits from a fine entry and with his trainer in the bike can play a leading role
    Summary: It’s an open contest. MAESTRO CASH (6), who was unlucky at Caen when racing barefoot for the first time, MUST DE BANVILLE (10), who deserves to be rewarded for his recent efforts, the in-form MYTHIQUE GEMA (5), and MAMBO DE CAHOT (11), who is worth another chance, are all capable of making a big splash.

  64. KOSAK DU FER – Imposed at Le Mont St Michel in April but has been eliminated in 5 since and others easier to trust
  65. KIR ROYAL – Won a Class F at Enghien over 2875m on 29 June. Has been like a horse reborn since late-April and from the 3 slot will be competitive when it matters
  66. KALAO TOURNIBOIS – Missed the break on his first start for new trainer. Has bags of ability though, enjoys a good draw, and must be respected
  67. KOMMUNES DE PLAY – Was second in a Class G at Vichy over 2950m on 29 June. Appears to be back on the right road and cannot be discounted
  68. KISMIE DE MEMARTIN – Finished 5th in a Class F at Ecommoy over 2750m on 20 June. Is better than that though and from the front row can finish close
  69. KORIOLIS DE ZIETTE – Comfortably won a Class F at Vichy over 2800m on 23 June. Is not ideally-drawn but is still good enough to double his money
  70. KOSCA DES CAILLONS – Has twice failed to confirm Caen performance, most recently 10th in a Class F at Chinon over 3125m on 5 July, and can expect to have few friends
  71. KENAVO PAROYO – Was second in a Class F at Villedieu Les Poeles over 2800m on 14 June after having failed to impress at Thouars 3 weeks earlier and despite the draw can nevertheless play a role. First 5
  72. KINDLINESS – Pleasantly surprised over a mile at Vichy before coming 8th in a Class G at Le Touquet over 2600m on 14 July, and can be passed over
  73. KALLISTO DE LASTEL – Fourth in a monte Class F at Cabourg over 2750m on 7 July. Is here for reasons of conditioning and can be ruled out
  74. KOPEK BOURBON – Fourth in a Class E at Agon-Coutainville over 3450m on 5 July after having run 2nd at Avranches. Takes on a better bunch here and the draw only compounds matters
    Summary: KORIOLIS DE ZIETTE (7), an impressive winner at Vichy, can follow up, but KEL COPAIN (1), who looks ready to return to winning ways, the admirably-consistent KISMIE DE MEMARTIN (6), and the in-form KIR ROYAL (3), are capable of providing strong opposition.

  75. NACRE DE LA CHAULE – Ran a superb race at Caen despite being eliminated early, first time under the saddle. Sebastien Pasquier stays faithful and can play a leading role if he gets her off on the right foot
  76. NATIVE D’AUVERS – Eliminated early in both starts to date. New jockey aboard this time and can finish close if he manages to get her off on the right foot
  77. NOTRE BERTRANGE – Disqualified in a Class F at Saint Malo over 2950m on 4 April, first time out. Has been afforded time to come into herself but is not a concern this time around
  78. NOBILIARY STAR – Disappointing so far under harness, latterly 9th in a Class H at Chinon over 2500m on 5 July, and is unlikely to create an upset
  79. NOKITA DU RIB – Debuts in the discipline following a pair of unexceptional harness runs, latterly 6th in a Class G at Les Elbeuf over 2750m on 14 June. Comes from an excellent home but is by no means the pick of the lot
  80. NUSICA ASSCHADEL – Unremarkable filly that has yet to show any flair for the code and can be ruled out
  81. NOSTALGIA QUICK – Encouraged at Ecommoy in April but was put away after failing to confirm. Comes here fresh and, if applied, can get in on the action
  82. NOCTURNE DE PLAY – Back under the saddle after being prepped under harness at Moulins-la-Marche earlier in the month. Will be shod as she was at Caen but can still be passed over
  83. NEIGE D’EVER – Surprise third in a Class F at Caen over 2450m on 22 June. Comes to Cabourg with morale intact and cannot be entirely discounted
  84. NENA NINETY NINE – Encouraged on monte debut at Caen in late-April before being prepped under harness at Lisieux early last month. Sports pads for the first time but can expect to find the going a bit tougher
  85. NOUSHANA – Finished 7th in a monte Class F at Clairefontaine over 2200m on 13 July. Guillaume Martin gets the nod and could be pleasantly surprised
  86. NYMPHE MIKA – Encouraging third in a Class E at La Capelle over 2750m on 7 July following 3 straight eliminations. Alexis Collette has kept the faith and will be expecting to pick up another cheque
  87. NORMANDIA – Has a conditioner under her belt, has previously won under the saddle and, with application, can make this her own
  88. NANALAND – Disqualified last time out in a Class B at Enghien over 2875m on 27 June. Is clearly better under the saddle but is still not a priority
  89. NUIT COQUINE – Finished 7th in a Class D at Caen over 2450m on 30 May, after having imposed on debut just over 2 weeks earlier. Has freshness on her side but others still preferred
  90. NOUVELLE D’ATOUT – Solid winner of a Class F at Moulins La Marche over 2225m on 5 July, first time under the saddle. Goes clockwise for the first time but enjoys a good entry, and the new formula may be just the ticket
    Summary: NORMANDIA (13), fitted with 4 pads for the first time, is the logical choice on her return to the saddle. NACRE DE LA CHAULE (1), who showed plenty of ability at Caen last time, and the reconfigured NOUVELLE D’ATOUT (16), who made a successful debut in the discipline at Moulins-la-Marche, head the opposition along with NATIVE D’AUVERS (2), who is worth another chance with Benjamin Rochard aboard.

  91. NUMBER ONE MADRIK – Got back in the game when 3rd in a 2800m Vichy Class E earlier in the month. Will find himself in better company here and can expect to find the going tougher
  92. NIL CATZ – Has done nothing but improve, latterly opening his account in a Class F at Amiens over 2400m on 27 June. Takes a step up in category but can still play a minor part
  93. NIGER DU VIVIER – Disqualified in a Class E at Cabourg over 2750m on 10 July, his first start since imposing at Caen in March, and on better behaviour can wrap this up
  94. NICKNAME BOND – Made up for Vire sanction when clinching a Class E at Cholet over 2800m on 9 June. Benefits from a good spot behind the car and looks a player once more
  95. NOUGAROU FAB – Finished 7th in a Class E at Cabourg over 2750m on 10 July. Has shown better aptitude on turf and is unlikely to shake things up
  96. NEAL DE TROUVILLE – Should not be too hastily-judged for finishing 6th in a Class E at Cabourg over 2750m on 10 July. Gives racing with pads another go and will be expected to make amends and finish in the mix
  97. NABAB BREKKA – Victorious in a Class F at Feurs over 2225m on 20 June to make it 2 on the trot. Takes on a better lot here but sports pads and could well pull off the hat-trick
  98. NEW SPIRIT – Has started to come into himself after a tough start to his career, most recently 5th in a 2050m Class E here 2 weeks ago, but looks a minor place chance at best
  99. NEFERT D’ALESA – Got off the mark in an Amiens Class F on 23 May but was trounced in a Class E there on 8 June and is not about to influence the result
    Summary: NIGER DU VIVIER (3) has the ability to win a race of this nature provided he stays in stride. The unbeaten NABAB BREKKA (7), fitted with pads for the first time, can provide the main opposition, along with NICKNAME BOND (4), reunited with Damien Bonne with whom he recently opened his account. NEAL DE TROUVILLE (6) had excuses last time and also warrants respect.

  1. NO WAY KARWIN – Gelding by For Fun, the dam won 1 race over jumps. From a respected trainer that will have this newcomer well prepared. The betting can guide
  2. NOBODY DE CHOISEL – Placed 4th on the last run at Senonnes in a hurdle over 3000m on July 2. Can improve and make his presence felt
  3. NUAGE BAIE – Gelding by Tin Horse, the dam was placed over jumps. Nice pedigree and from a stable that can produce first time out winners. One to keep onside
  4. LILAJO – Two good runs over hurdles, 3rd at Niort over 3400m in a Class 5 event on June 20 on the latter. Hard to ignore
  5. MY LITTLE SECRET – Two 7th placed runs, the latter over 3400m at Dieppe in a Class 5 hurdle on June 27. Hard to fancy
  6. NATHABA – Filly by Bathyrhon, the dam ran a few times on the flat. One to consider if the betting vibes are positive on her first day at school

    Summary: NOBODY DE CHOISEL (2) can improve on his debut fourth at Senonnes 15 days ago and is taken to come out on top with natural progress. NUAGE BAIE (3) is well bred and worth watching closely in the market. LILAJO (4) should step forward from a recent third over hurdles and can be competitive, while NO WAY KARWIN (1) looks the best of the rest on debut and is worth a market inspection.
