R1 VINCENNES [L-H]
C1 – PRIX DE VIRE NORMANDIE – 2200m (a1m1/2) – Class B – Mounted – EUR € 43,000
- NARCISSE TURGOT – Nicely-related colt that has always had the discipline on his agenda. Anthony Barrier in the irons and should prove competitive at the business end of the race
- NYLLA DU GOUTIER – Runner-up in both starts to date. Is clearly one for the future and could well get off the mark this time
- NECTAR DE LA FYE – Moderate type that has twice been flattered here recently and can be ruled out
- NORGUSSON ATALANTE – Showed good aptitude for the code twice last month here. 4 pads fitted for the first time but still a minor place prospect at best
- NAYAMA BERRY – Got off the mark over course and distance on 19 January but was outclassed next time and will have few friends
- NAUTILIO BELLO – Placed twice last month before being trounced by NEEL AR MOR (13) in a Gr.3 over track and trip 2 weeks ago, and others preferred
- NAMARETTI DEVOL – Well-beaten behind NEEL AR MOR (13) in a Gr.3 over course and distance 2 weeks ago and is unlikely to influence the outcome
- NEWCASH DE PHYT’S – Lost his maiden tag in a Class D over course and distance 2.5 weeks ago but finds himself in superior company this time and is unlikely to spring any surprises
- NATURE DU GOUTIER – Has done nothing but improve since taking up the ridden code. Lost her maiden status in good order here 2.5 weeks ago, and even though stepping up in category should nevertheless hold her own
- NACHYMA BERRY – Sports a fresh formula after running 2nd in a 2700m harness Class C here 11 days ago. Is obviously in excellent shape and will not be far off the mark if ability transitions
- NAGINATA – Thoroughly professional winner of a 2700m Class D here on 5 February. In better company this time but is clearly the standout in the field and will garner the lion’s share of support
- NEO VANILLA – Consistently gives everything she has but is no champion. Takes a dip in category after running 4th in a Gr.3 over track and trip a fortnight back, but still not an obvious choice
- NEEL AR MOR – Ran 3rd in a Gr.3 over track and trip 2 weeks ago on his first appearance under the saddle. Will have come on for the race and can bring the fight to NAGINATA (11)
Summary: She is still somewhat green but Philippe Allaire’s NAGINATA (11) was a most impressive winner over the main track earlier this month; she will be reunited with Paul Ploquin and will have this in the bag if he keeps her trotting. Leading the opposition is NEEL AR MOR (13) who gave a very good account on his monte debut here 2 weeks ago, and NARCISSE TURGOT (1) who is expected to put on a good show for his monte bow. NYLLA DU GOUTIER (2) may not have been seen out for 2 months but she will sport front pads for the first time and Eric Raffin has remained faithful.

C2 – PRIX DE BLAVIGNAC – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class E Amateur Riders – Harness – EUR € 32,000 - MALINE DE JED – Made no impression in 17 February race of reference and, in this company, has no realistic chance
- METALLICA SMART – Serious filly that was particularly unlucky here on 17 January. Has had time to recalibrate and can make a big splash if she stays in stride from one end of the race to the other
- MONANZA CASTEL – Blew up in a 2850m Class E here 2.5 weeks ago. Races barefoot this time but others still easier to trust
- MISS LOVE BERRY – Courageous 4th in 17 February race of reference. Reliability not her strong suit but still cannot be ruled out
- MANOLA DE MUZE – Complicated element but has shown her ability more than once. Comes here fresh and can get in on the action if Adrien Guarato manages to keep her mind on the task at hand
- MOLLY DU CAUX – Honest filly that ran 3rd over 2175m here in January before blundering in a Class E over track and trip 3 weeks ago. Is not a priority but always gives her best and could well pick up some prizemoney
- MAMOUNIA DE LUBLE – Pleasant, but unthreatening, 4th of 10 in a Nantes Class E 2 weeks ago. Sports a fresh formula but still appears to be taking on too much
- MELITTE DE RIVIERE – Has turned a corner since starting to race barefoot, most recently 3rd, a place behind MA LILI GEMA (13), in a 2200m Class E here on 17 February. Takes on some better horses this time but can nevertheless play a small part
- MACOE – 4th in a Class E under these conditions on 1 February, then smartly won a 2850m Mauquenchy Class E 11 days later. Is unlikely to double her money but can nevertheless finish in the mix
- MILADY DE LA PIECE – Sent for a spell after producing a pair of good efforts before the turn of the year. Was still in contention before losing her action here a fortnight back and can put things right if Pierre Abrivard keeps her focused
- MALICIA DU ROCHER – Progressive filly making first appearance since getting off the mark at Cabourg last October and is going to need the race
- MAMZELLE DREAM – Still chasing that elusive first win but has otherwise been in decent shape. Ran 4th under these conditions earlier in the month but is unlikely to confirm
- MA LILI GEMA – Did everything asked of her on first start of the season, coming 2nd in a 2200m Class E here on 17 February. Will have come on for the race and looks a player once more
- MY WILD – Handy sort that made a fine comeback at Graignes early this month. Is new to the main track but is obviously in good shape and, barefoot for the occasion, is not to be underestimated
Summary: Still rather green but quite evidently in good shape, MILADY DE LA PIECE (10) was still going strong when eliminated on re-entry here 2 weeks ago, but is competitively-shod for the first time and can redeem herself. METALLICA SMART (2) was unlucky not to remain unbeaten this winter when faulting in the final stages of a Class E here but, if applied this time, can set the record straight. MA LILI GEMA (13) beat a number of these over the inner course 10 days ago and should not disappoint. MACOE (9) returns to racing barefoot after opening her account at Mauquenchy and is easy to like for a place in the picture.

C3 – PRIX DE LORIENT – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class B – Harness – EUR € 52,000 - LOOKING D’AURCY – Impressive under the saddle this term with 3 victories in 3 starts. Is less-performant in the harness code but was not the most fortunate when going well here 2 weeks ago and should not be overlooked
- LAROZE DU GERS – Spirited mare that has won 7 of the 9 races she has finished, most recently over course and distance. Comes here fresh and, on good behaviour, will have a legitimate claim on the double
- LOTUS GRIFF – Complicated individual but can trot when focused. Is barefoot for return to Paris but others still preferred
- LITTLE STAR FLEURY – Gives an honest account of herself for the most part but has done little of note lately and is unlikely to cause an upset
- LORD TURGOT – Quality trotter with solid references under these conditions. Was most impressive over 2100m here on 3 February and has earned the right to take his chances. Place prospect
- LILY DE L’AUNAY – Quality mare that should not be too hastily-judged for recent disqualification. Has bags of ability but will race shod and best to keep one’s powder dry
- LAMONT DU DOUET – Runner-up in the last 4 races he has finished, most recently missing out by the smallest of margins in a Class C over track and trip a fortnight ago. Mathieu Mottier stays faithful and could pleasantly surprise
- LEWIS RIVER – Ran 2nd over course and distance last November but has failed to deliver in 3 since and, even racing barefoot, will have his work cut out
- LAGNU MAG – Unremarkable 5th in a 2100m Class B here 10 days ago and looks a rank outsider once more
- LILI DRY – Has enjoyed a productive run of form in Paris this winter. Returns to the capital after encouraging at Cagnes but will still need to find more
- LOULOU DAB – Won 4 in a row here this winter before faulting in a Class B 3 weeks ago. Showed his form after being eliminated and Damien Bonne will be determined to set the record straight
- LEGACY JIEL – Mixes the good with the less-good but encouraged with victory in a 2850m Class B here 3 weeks ago. Is unlikely to repeat but will not be going home empty-handed
- LOUSTIC DE SALOMAX – Simply superb in Paris this winter, latterly 3rd to LOULOU DAB (11) in a Class B over course and distance on 15 January, and will be justifiably well-backed once again
- LOBBING DE BLARY – Good, consistent element that ran 2nd to LEGACY JIEL (12) in a 2850m Class B here 3 weeks ago. Is nicely-entered here and will not be available at 34-1 this time
Summary: Given a bit of a rest after conformably imposing under these conditions on New Year’s Eve, LAROZE DU GERS (2) is barefoot for her return run and, provided David Thomain keeps her focused, can get straight down to business. Sporting a fresh configuration for the occasion, LOULOU DAB (11), has improved for every run this winter and, if applied, can return to doing what he does best. Dynamic when barefoot, LOUSTIC DE SALOMAX (13) is clearly close to his race and warrants significant respect. LORD TURGOT (5) won unopposed here earlier in the month and is not incapable of repeating.

C4 – PRIX DE NORT SUR ERDRE – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class E – Mounted – EUR € 41,000 - NOBEL STEEL – Winner on monte debut in Munich in July 2024. Failed to deliver next time in Berlin, and makes his Vincennes bow with little to contribute
- LEONCE DU CLOS – Previously a good sort but has been off the boil lately and will need to find significantly more
- LEONARD DU CLOS – Serious sort with just the one race in him since his lengthy layoff. Is barefoot this time but others still easier to back
- KIDAM DU METZ – Produced a pair of good performances before being eliminated in a Class D under these conditions in late-December. Has been afforded time to get his house in order and, on good behaviour, can finish in the mix
- MISTER LION – Talented Swedish type making debut for new handler. Clearly means business and will be no easy touch if Anthony Barrier keeps him trotting
- LORD FROMENTRO – Looked a thorough professional when imposing over shorter here on 3 January. Mathieu Mottier back in the bike and will not be easy to oppose
- LORENZO BERRY – Not the horse he was this time last year. Has been out of sorts this winter and returns to the monte code with limited ambition
- ONANA BOKO – Ran 3rd over course and distance late last month before finding the going tough in a Class C last week. Drops back in category and can play a small part
- LABEL DE LARRE – Was in the running for 2nd place in a 2850m Class C here 8 days ago only to lose his action. Is quite obviously in decent shape and will not be far from the action if Damien Bonne manages to keep him focused
- MONSIEUR CHOCOLAT – Ran 2nd on Vincennes debut in early-December and was by no means disgraced in better company next time. Is new to the monte discipline but if ability transitions, his place is on the podium
Summary: Facile winner over 2175m on his monte debut here in early-January, LORD FROMENTRO (6) returns to racing barefoot after being conditioned in the other code and, if he stays trotting, it is hard to envisage him being bested. Now in the care of Laurent-Claude Abrivard, MISTER LION (5) sports modified shoeing for his monte bow and will be expected to deliver. Compatriot MONSIEUR CHOCOLAT (10) is new to the discipline, and stays shod, but is a trotter of considerable ability benefiting from an excellent entry, and deserves to be taken seriously. LABEL DE LARRE (9) is not the easiest to use but he showed his form here last week and merits respect.

C5 – PRIX DE LA MOSELLE – 2175m (a1m1/4) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 35,000 - LYPSTIC ATOUT – Tricky sort that will be reunited with his handler after failing to deliver at Nantes mid-January. Is unlikely to set Vincennes alight but, with application, can make his presence felt
- LUCKY PRIM – Makes first appearance since finishing 11th of 15 in a 2175m Class E here in late-October and is not about to spring any surprises
- LEADER DE VENEL – Showed promise last spring but has made no impact over recent months. Alexis Collette at the helm but still not a priority
- LEOLIO – Put in a good showing at Laval earlier this month when 4th in a Class E. Cannot be considered a player but cannot be ruled out either
- LEON DE L’AUNAY – Unexceptional here on 20 January before being placed last. Disappointed at Machecoul just 12 days later and can expect to have few friends in the markets
- LOGAN DES PRES – Respectable trotter starting for the first time for over 2 months. Has yet to show any particular liking for Vincennes though and can be passed over
- LOTS OF LOVE – Decent sort facing first objective for new trainer. Has previously shown significant aptitude for the game and Theo Duvaldestin is not about to let this fine opportunity pass him by
- LIRELLO – Sports modified shoeing after a pair of respectable runs in the provinces. Has shown decent versatility but will have his work cut out on Vincennes debut
- LOULOU DEL GREEN – Made his way back into the winners’ enclosure after securing a 2800m Vire Class F on 8 February. Faces a better bunch this time though and others preferred
- LIBERAL BABY – Gave an excellent account of himself to comfortably win a Vire Class F on 8 February, and does not make the trip to Paris to see the sights. Place prospect
- LE GRAND MASSIF – Modest sort that has done nothing of note since winning at Saint-Galmier last August and has no realistic chance
- LEADER BLACK – Acquits himself respectably for the most part. Is new to Vincennes but is plainly in decent shape and, at this level, can finish in the mix
- LE BOIS JOSSELYN – Useful trotter but has not been seen out since November and with shoes fitted will not be worrying the opposition
- LODEN D’HERFRAIE – Reverts to an earlier configuration after finishing last but 1 at Graignes early this month. Paul Ploquin in the bike this time and, considering the opposition, can play a prominent role
- LORD OF THE RINGS – Won 4 of 5 before losing his action in a Class F at Lyon-La Soie 2.5 weeks ago. Trainer could not have wished for a better entry and Franck Nivard will be expected to capitalise
Summary: Encouraging at Nantes a fortnight ago on just his 2nd start for the Duvaldestin stable, LOTS OF LOVE (7) has been reconfigured for his Vincennes bow and should have the wherewithal to win a race of this nature. It’s unlikely to be all plain sailing though considering how performant the well-entered LORD OF THE RINGS (15) is when applied. It took 36 runs but LIBERAL BABY (10) finally got off the mark earlier in the month and, in this company, looks capable of playing another active role. LODEN D’HERFRAIE (14) is no champion but he sports a fresh configuration for his return to the capital and should not be far off the mark.
SELECTIONS

C6 – PRIX DE LUNEVILLE – 2850m (a2m) – Class C – Harness – EUR € 53,000 - PLAYBOY DE REVE – Got straight down to business on first start following the break, winning over 2840m in Mons. Is confirmed here and, barefoot this time, will generate some interest
- KRISTO STAR – Back under harness after a failed attempt in the monte discipline 3 weeks ago. Has ability but in this category will struggle to make his mark
- FIORANO – Faces a tougher test than he did when 4th in a 2100m Class E here in early-January. Is barefoot this time but still not an obvious choice
- PORTOFINO (SWE) – Encouraged in last month’s Vincennes bow but has twice failed to deliver since, and others easier to back
- FASHION MONGER – Gave a good account on Vincennes debut late last month. Boasts excellent credentials at home in Sweden and, with shoes off this time, will have his chances
- KLINGER (NOR) – Very disappointing in both codes over recent months. Races barefoot this time but still not a concern
- PATTON (SWE) – Classy Swedish sort that was not properly tested in either Vincennes run, notably 2.5 weeks ago when easily securing a monte Class D. Mathieu Mottier back in the bike and, even though stepping up in category, still looks a serious player
- XIA LLOYD – Unexceptional Swedish mare that is clearly taking on too much this time and can be ruled out
- EMPIRE AS – No slouch on a good day under harness but would have better prospects in the other code
- MAX OCCAGNES – 6th of 16 behind HASHTAG SIMONI (14), on comeback, in a Class D under these conditions 11 days ago. Tends to go well for Paul Ploquin and moves up in category with a good hand to play
- KASSIOPEIA – Opened her Vincennes account late last month when dominating a Class C under these conditions. Has a particular liking for the main track and is easy to fancy for a step on the podium
- KARMA – Springs the occasional surprise but has made no impact so far this year and is not about to start now
- ELDORADO JET – Serious Italian trotter that was denied a path when full of running in a 2100m Gr.3 here on 25 January. Drops in category and, with form maintained, should be able to wrap this up
- HASHTAG SIMONI – Tricky but talented trotter that ran a surprise 3rd of 16 in a Class D over track and trip on 16 February. Is unlikely to repeat but, in similar form, should be able to challenge for a first-5 cheque
- KING GEORGES – Showed marked improvement when 5th behind HASHTAG SIMONI (14) in a Class D under these conditions 11 days ago. Left a very good impression on that occasion and, considering the entry, cannot be discounted
- KALINE DU LOCHEUR – Moderate mare returning to racing shod after being trounced in a Class D under these conditions mid-month. Shoes on and chances slim
Summary: Winner on his return to competition at Cagnes in early-January, ELDORADO JET (13) was most unlucky in a Gr.3 here later in the month, and will not have poor draw to contend with this time. That being said, PATTON (SWE) (7) has not skipped a beat since coming to France and legitimately bids for the 8-timer. Eric Raffin stays faithful to the good Swedish FASHION MONGER (5) who will race barefoot for the occasion. Very hard to fault since last summer, KASSIOPEIA (11) will be no pushover.

C7 – PRIX D’ALENCON – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class E – Mounted – EUR € 41,000 - FUJIKO FONT – Takes first competitive monte steps after flopping in a pair of harness runs here this term and is unlikely to worry the opposition
- LITTLE STAR – Has been acquitting herself respectably all winter but is not made of the stuff to win a race of this nature
- LEDORIKA – Quite the revelation this winter and passed her Vincennes test in late-January. Takes on a better bunch of horses this time but in present shape is very hard to ignore. Place chance
- LADIVA DE VILLABON – Has shown decent aptitude for the code but eliminated in last 2 and even switching formula will not be enough
- LIBERTY DELO – Tricky but handy mare making first appearance since early-December. Has previously won under these conditions and can make amends if fit and focused
- ETOILE DU OZ – 3rd to KOUSINE MAJYC (10) in a Class E over course and distance late last month. Was conditioned under harness just last week and returns barefoot to the code with a decent hand to play
- LUDMILA DETE – Quality element that somewhat lost her way late last term. Pulled off the monte hat-trick last summer, is clearly in race-mode, but may just need the run
- LOU D’ECROVILLE – Back under the saddle after winning a harness Class D here early this month. Is less-dependable in the monte code though and others easier to support
- LAPONIE D’EMMA – Has just one blip on her otherwise excellent monte formcard. Has not been seen out since late-November, and will be shod, but still looks a respectable first-5 prospect
- KOUSINE MAJYC – Serious mare that has won both starts here this winter, most recently a Class E over course and distance in style late last month, and is easy to fancy for a repeat
- LYRIC – Had been enjoying a fruitful run of form until being eliminated early here late last month. Has been reconfigured for the occasion and will have other ambitions
- LAVALLOISE GIRL – Never far from losing her action but has buckets of talent. Has a race under her belt since the spell, is shod to preference, and will be expected to contest the finish
Summary: A tough nut to crack when she keeps her action together, KOUSINE MAJYC (10) made a mockery of the opposition under these conditions late last month and, considering her barefoot record, is going to take all the beating. Mathieu Mottier will be mindful though of the terrifically-engaged LAVALLOISE GIRL (12) who will be shod as she was when imposing here just before Christmas, and LEDORIKA (3) who has enjoyed something of a renaissance since switching disciplines. LIBERTY DELO (5) has yet to find her feet this term but she is a talented mare and it is only a question of time.

C8 – PRIX DE MAUREPAS – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 35,000 - FONTE CHIARA PAR – Would have finished closer than 6th behind LISBETH DRY (3) had she not stumbled late here 2.5 weeks ago. Is by no means a priority but is still one to monitor
- KATTEJAMMER CASH – Modest 7th of 9 behind LISBETH DRY (3) in a Class E over course and distance 2.5 weeks ago and is unlikely to shake things up
- LISBETH DRY – Put 2 moderate efforts behind her to come 2nd in a Class E under these conditions 2.5 weeks ago. Reliability not her strong suit but in current condition will be expected to contest the finish
- LOVELY WILMA – Has not been seen out since failing to deliver in a Class D under these conditions on Christmas Day, and will have few takers
- FRENCIS ZL – Occasionally useful at home in Italy, but has no love for the Vincennes main track and will have nothing to offer
- LUCRECE HAUFOR – Missed out by little in a Class E under these conditions on 29 January. Is plainly close to her best and will be no easy touch if Damien Bonne keeps her focused
- OLYMPIA GREENWOOD – Left a good impression in the straight here on 29 January before pleasing in Berlin mid-month. Appears to be close to her race and Mattheiu Abrivard will be only too happy to prove the point
- LUCIA DE LA CRIERE – Has been knocking at the door, both here and in the provinces, this year. Is unlikely to get her nose in front this time either but should nevertheless hold her own
- LUNE DE L’EMION – Back in the capital after pleasing in a Nantes Class D on 25 January. Seldom visits the winners’ circle but always gives her best and cannot be discounted
- THANKWORTHY TILE – Gave a good account of herself on Vincennes bow, coming 2nd in a Class E over track and trip on 29 January. Will not be available at 25-1 this time but can still make first 5
- L’ILE D’HAUFOR – Is undeniably useful at this level but has been struggling lately. Sports 4 pads for the occasion and others preferred
- FLORES DE CAMPO – Tricky Italian sort that has shown a significant liking for Vincennes. Has been entrusted to Eric Raffin for the first time and, with application, can make this her own
- FEDE JET – Came 5th in 29 January race of reference prior to running a flattering 3rd in a 2850m Class B just 9 days later. Is not about to create an upset but will be expected to give another honest account
- FIABA DEL RONCO – Has pleased for the most part at home in Italy over recent months, and will be reconfigured for the occasion, but appears to be out of her league
- LOZEN DE BANVILLE – Drops back in category after finishing last but one in a Class D here early this month and would have a better chance at a lower level
Summary: FLORES DE CAMPO (12) may be complicated but her ability is not in question. Winner last time here only to be disqualified, she returns reconfigured to France and, with Eric Raffin reining this time, looks the one to beat. He will still want to be wary of OLYMPIA GREENWOOD (7) whose late-January run here was not indicative of her true value, and LISBETH DRY (3) who reassured recently. LUCRECE HAUFOR (6) finished ahead of the last two here late last month and looks competitive for a place cheque.

C9 – PRIX EMILE ALLIX COURBOY – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class B – Harness – EUR € 75,000 - KARAMBAR – Talented type with just the one race under his belt since the break, but is barefoot for the occasion and his record over course and distance speaks for itself. Chance
- KID BELLAY – Has been struggling under the saddle all winter. Runs under harness for a change of scenery and can be passed over
- HIMBERLAND – Handy sort with form at this level but is shod for re-entry and best to hold off
- GORDON MIJACK – Has been disappointing of late although he did encounter traffic problems 2 weeks ago. Sports 4 pads for the first time, with Matthieu Abrivard in the bike, but chances still limited
- HABIT DE SOIREE – Got back in the game when 3rd of 15 in a Class B over track and trip 2 weeks ago. Mathieu Mottier at the helm this time but is still being asked to do too much
- LIGHTNING STRIDE – Quality nordic mare that has taken well to Vincennes conditions. Finished ahead of JAZZMAN (GER) (8) here 3 weeks ago, although a repeat does seem unlikely
- ELEGANCE KRONOS – Second in a Gr.3 here in late-January before finishing unplaced in a monte Gr.1 early this month. Takes on the boys this time but can nevertheless hold her own. First 5
- JAZZMAN (GER) – Fine campaigner that failed to deliver here earlier in the month after having pulled the 16-slot, but races on level terms this time and can impose
- FURIOSO FLIGNY – Still going strong aged 11. Has not been seen out since 20 December though and with shoes fitted will have little to contribute
- IDEAL SAN LEANDRO – Between Italy and France, has looked decidedly ordinary over recent months and can be ignored
- COQUAHOLY – Returns to France after coming 3rd over 2600m in Victoria Park a fortnight ago. Is confirmed here but is nonetheless out of his depth
- JAG STRYCK – Capable on a good day but has not been particularly sharp for some time but, if fully fit, can get a look in
- JE REVE DU BOIS – Back under harness after some solid efforts in the other code. Is less-performant under harness, but has won a Gr.3 GNT stage and must be respected
- IALTO D’HERTALS – Tough element that has not put a foot out of line all winter. Ran 2nd to JAZZMAN (GER) (8) in a 2100m Gr.3 here on 25 January and must be considered a contender
- DOLCE VIKY – Serious Italian raider that won a Class B here in December before disappointing in a Gr.3 on 17 January. Is in form though and can play an important part if he negotiates the turns better
- HARISON DU PLESSIS – Returns to conditions he appreciates after a comeback run at Agen 2 weeks ago. Is as honest as they get and will be competitive for a place in the frame
Summary: A first-rate trotter that has already secured a pair of Gr.3s this term, JAZZMAN (GER) (8) had nothing going for him here earlier in the month, but will be expected to bounce back and can win this if he stays focused. Unplaced that day on his return from a short break, stablemate KARAMBAR (1) will be barefoot and will have his chances. IALTO D’HERTALS (14) has been firing on all cylinders this winter and looks competitive once more, as does the ideally-engaged HARISON DU PLESSIS (16) who boasts excellent barefoot references. DOLCE VIKY (15) is significantly better than his recent result would suggest and his trainer-driver will be out to put things right.

Summary: MA PIECE D’OR (11) has shown improvement of late and was a good third in this discipline last time out. That indicated she could win an open-looking race like this. MY LORD DE L’AUMOY (9) won over this track and trip when trying a mounted race and would not be a surprise winner.

Summary: DZIELNY WOJTEK (2) can be forgiven for his last effort and is yet to make a winning appearance on French soil. He meets a division where he can finally claim his first win here. Supplemented UN JOUR POUR MOI (4) was a firm winner last time out and looks well entered to follow up. ANIMA SANA (6) executed a successful victory and must have every chance to spark this field on her current form. HAYA LAND (1) contains a place chance at best.
