R1 VINCENNES [L-H]
C1 – PRIX DE DORCEAU – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class B Race – Mounted – EUR € 52,000
- LOTI SOLO – Starts for first time since running 2nd of 11 in a 2175m Class B here late-December. Unshod-behind for first time but may just be a little race-rusty
- LAFOLLY DELO – Well-beaten 5th of 6 finishers in a Gr.3 under these conditions on 18 February and will need to find significantly more
- LAREINE D’OURVILLE – Made it 2 on the trot when winning a 2175m Class C here 2 months ago. Will be fresh for comeback but takes on a superior lot this time and looks a minor place chance at best
- LUIGI D’ISIGNY – Sanctioned in a Gr.3 over course and distance on 18 February. Nevertheless showed his form that day and will be no shrinking violet if Mathieu Mottier keeps him trotting
- LEONARD DU CLOS – Has done nothing but improve lately, most recently 2nd to LABEL DE LARRE (10) in a 2875m Enghien Class C 3 weeks ago. Is close to his race and will justifiably garner support
- LUCIFER D’ORPHEE – Trotter of quality making first appearance since faulting in a 2175m Class B here late-December. Anthony Barrier back in the saddle and will be expected to apply the pressure on LUTIN JABA (11)
- L’ECRIN D’OR – Reassuring 2nd of 7 finishers in a 2100m Vincennes Class C two weeks ago. Races shod for ridden bow and with Benjamin Rochard in the irons, will be assured a competitive ride
- LUNIK DU CHOQUEL – Has not been seen out since finishing last but one in Gr.2 Prix Louis Tillaye over course and distance late-October. Is first-time barefoot but still best to wait
- LOVELY CHENEVIERE – Ran 4th in Gr.2 Louis le Bourg before being quickly sanctioned in 2200m Gr.1 Prix des Centaures early last month. Races with pads this time and cannot be considered a priority
- LABEL DE LARRE – Got back in the game at Enghien 3 weeks ago, dominating a 2875m Class C. Goes barefoot again and a repeat is not out of the question
- LUTIN JABA – 2nd of 8 in a 2850m harness Class B here on 26 February. Has a lot going for him here and has every chance of getting straight off the monte mark
- LUZ FATALE – Sanctioned in 4 straight before finishing last of 8 in 2850m Gr.2 Louis le Bourg over 2850m here on 9 February, and must first get her house in order
- LIBERTINE DJOB – Last of 8 finishers, on return to competition, in a harness Class A over course and distance 2 weeks ago. Races shod this time and will have nothing to contribute
Summary: A good class of colt under harness, LUTIN JABA (11) will be fresh for his ridden bow, races unshod-behind, and the engagement of Eric Raffin speaks volumes. LUCIFER D’ORPHEE (6) may not have been seen out since December but he won on his comeback last September and, with shoes back on, looks the main threat. A fine winner across town mid-March when first-time barefoot, LABEL DE LARRE (10) steps back up in category with a lot to offer. LUIGI D’ISIGNY (4) has nothing to prove at this level and a place in the frame will depend on his humour.

C2 – PRIX DE LA DORDOGNE – 2850m (a2m) – Class A Race – Harness – EUR € 62,000 - FRECCIA – 5th of 8 finishers, at 93/1, to LUDIVINE (10) in a 2700m Class A here 2 weeks ago, and a repeat seems most improbable
- FINLANDIA TOR – Has taken well to Vincennes conditions, most recently 3rd of 11 to LUDIVINE (10) in a 2700m Class A here 2 weeks ago. Is unlikely to get her nose in front but looks competitive for a minor-place cheque
- LOLITA TURGOT – Ran 3rd over course and distance on 1 March before easily securing a 2150m Enghien Class C a fortnight later. Continues to race barefoot and is in with a realistic chance of trotting her way into the picture
- FUNNY GIRL (ITY) – Returns to Vincennes after running 6th of 12 over 2100m at San Siro a fortnight ago. Has placed in other 2 main-track starts, is first-time barefoot, but others still easier to back
- LETTRE D’AMOUR – Makes first appearance since winning a 2700m Class B here mid-December. Is plainly a filly with potential but stays shod and will not be given a hard race
- LITTLE STAR FLEURY – Sanctioned on re-entry in 22 March race of reference. Shod to preference this time but still not a priority
- LUMINOSITY – Put away after finishing 9th of 14 in a 2850m Gr.3 here on 1 December. Shoes on for comeback and best to hold off
- LAUREATE DRY – 2nd of 8 finishers to LUDIVINE (10) in a 2700m Class A here 2 weeks ago, on first run after a spell. Is clearly in rude health and Alexandre Abrivard can be confident of a big run
- LUSH LIFE – 6th of 8 finishers behind LUDIVINE (10) in a 2700m Class A here 2 weeks ago. Has been struggling to replicate last summer’s form but races barefoot and will generate some interest
- LUDIVINE – Easy winner of a 2700m Class A here on 22 March, making it 2 from 3 since the turn of the year, and has every chance of adding another victory to her tally
- LOVE LETTER – Unraced since coming 5th of 11 behind FUNNY GIRL (ITY) (4) in Gr.3 Prix Albert Rayon over course and distance mid-December. Is shod for re-entry but will have been prepared for this and looks a decent first-5 candidate
- LIKE YOU – Valiant 2nd of 12 in a 2925m Cagnes Class A on 9 March. Has been in cracking form on the Riviera and makes her Vincennes debut with a realistic chance of playing a leading role
- LILAS CASTELLE – Sanctioned on re-entry in a 2925m Cagnes Gr.3 on 13 February. Has form at a superior level though and with Mathieu Mottier back in the bike should not be underestimated
Summary: After an optimistic crack at Gr.2 here in February, LUDIVINE (10) put her talent on show late last month and again looks to have the measure of the progressive LAUREATE DRY (8) who ran 2nd on comeback that day. Racing barefoot could well be key to the future fortunes of LIKE YOU (12) who looks particularly competitive on her Vincennes bow. LILAS CASTELLE (13) may not be an easy horse to manage but is reunited with Mathieu Mottier who won with her at Laval last autumn and, back to racing shod, will be expected to play an active role.

C3 – PRIX DE BAPAUME – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class C Race – Harness – EUR € 53,000 - JALOUSIE MAZA – 4th of 13, at 34/1, in a Class D over track and trip a fortnight ago. On the rail this time but still not a concern
- KORONA DELADOU – Sanctioned in a 2450m Caen Class B on 10 March. Is unbeaten in 2 starts with Franck Nivard though and is very much in the running
- ELISE ANA – Useful sort but looked very ordinary before being sanctioned in a Class B over course and distance on 18 February. Appears to be in conditioning-mode and cannot be considered a priority
- KALITA D’HENINEL – Surprising 2nd of 15 in a 2150m Enghien Class C 3 weeks ago. Unlikely to repeat but with stride in check, could possibly get a look-in
- KASSIOPEE WIND – Made it 2 in a row when dominating a 2700m Class D here late last month. The stars have aligned for her here and, with just her own sex to contend with this time, should have this in the bag
- JALMAROSA – 8th of 13 on re-entry behind JALOUSIE MAZA (1) in a Class D over track and trip a fortnight ago, and others easier to recommend
- KIM FOREVER – Mixes the good with the less good but left a fine impression 10 days ago when 2nd of 10 in a 2200m Class C at Salon-de-Provence. Breaks in front and is unlikely to go home empty-handed
- DIABEL – 3rd of 9 when preparing for this over 1640m in Milan a fortnight ago. Barring the occasional sanction is very hard to knock and, despite her number, looks thoroughly capable of finishing close
- GRACES BIRD – Has not been seen out since running 6th of 13 over 2140m in Solvalla on Boxing Day. Has nothing to prove at home in Sweden and even though facing a test here, she is barefoot for the occasion and must be respected
- KINASSE DE VIVOIN – Out of the picture in last 2, most recently 9th of 15 in a 2150m Enghien Class C 3 weeks ago, and can expect to remain friendless in the markets
- DIVA STARLIGHT – Made up for Vincennes sanction when 3rd of 11 in a 2700m Cagnes Class E on 9 March. Takes on a better lot this time though and the draw will not help matters
- ORLANDO VIVA – Has struggled since coming to France, latterly last of 12 on comeback in a 2150m Enghien Class D on 11 March, and can be disregarded
- KNITULIA – Given a short break after coming 10th of 16 behind KIM FOREVER (7) in a Class C over track and trip 2 months ago. Is barefoot, and confirmed under these conditions, but an outsider nevertheless
- JAIKA DES FANES – Highly-consistent mare taking her chances in Paris for first time after having run 2nd of 7 in a 2925m Cagnes Class E a month ago. Poorly-drawn though and chances limited
- DAFNE DI POGGIO – Has thrived since coming to France, most recently 3rd of 11 in a 2850m Class C here on 28 March. Handed a rough draw but should not be far from the action if Nicolas Bazire positions her early
- KOURGA DE LOU – Good 3rd of 15 in a 2150m Enghien Class C on re-entry 3 weeks ago. Will have come on for the run, is barefoot for the occasion, and will be expected to contest the finish
Summary: Wonderfully-engaged at the limit of earnings, well-positioned on the front line, and on a hat-trick of victories, KASSIOPEE WIND (5) is quite simply the horse to beat. KOURGA DE LOU (16) has not been quite so fortunate with the draw but runs barefoot following a an excellent return run, and will be no pushover. Winner last time here, the Italian DIABEL (8) won for Eric Raffin in January and after a convincing San Siro conditioner runs barefoot and will have her chances. Better-placed behind the car, KORONA DELADOU (2) will be dangerous if Franck Nivard manages to keep her mind on the game.

C4 – PRIX DE LOUDEAC – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class C Race – Harness – EUR € 53,000 - KINGSLAYER PELLINI – Has struggled since coming south, most recently 7th of 12 in a 2700m Cagnes Class on 9 March, and even though reconfigured is not about to cause an upset
- JOLICOEUR – 2nd of 11 in a 2700m Class C here a fortnight ago. Has done nothing but improve lately, is well-drawn, and due another victory
- PANTOCRATOR – 4th to EXPRESS D’ARC (8) on French debut prior to coming 2nd of 11 to CAVIAR FROM MINE (4) in a 2450m Caen Class B on 10 March. Is well-positioned here and Paul Ploquin will be legitimately confident of a big run
- CAVIAR FROM MINE – Won a 2450m Caen Class B on 10 March when associated with Yoann Lebourgeois for first time. Ideally-positioned behind the car and is eminently capable of confirming
- JASMIN DHELPA – 10th of 14 in a 2000m Parilly Class E on Tuesday and backs up shod and with no possible chance
- HASHTAG SIMONI – 4th of 11 to JOLICOEUR (2) in a 2700m Class C here a fortnight ago. Can be considered unlucky that day and redemption should logically be on the cards
- JEWEL HEMSSON – Respectable 5th of 15 in a 2675m Lisieux Class F 3 weeks ago. Has never excelled under these conditions though and will need to find more
- EXPRESS D’ARC – 3 wins in 4 starts here during the winter, latterly a 2850m Class B on 7 February. Handed a wide draw but comes here fresh and will be expected to give JOLICOEUR (2) a run for his money
- KAISER – Makes first appearance since being sanctioned in a 2700m Class C here mid-February. Franck Nivard would have preferred a better draw but is reconfigured and should not be written off
- KISS ME AGAIN – Has not been seen out since running 6th of 13 in a 2850m Gr.3 here early-December and is going to need the race
- KANO – Faithful servant making first appearance since winning a 2875m Argentan Class A last November and is going to need the run
- EASY COMPANY – Unraced since finishing 8th of 14 behind ELON MAIL (14) in a 2700m Class E here on 11 February. Is as game as they come but in this category may be taking on too much
- EBRIUS (ITY) – Has thrived since coming to France, latterly winning a 2575m Agen Class E on 16 March. Not ideally-drawn but with David Thomain reining can be assured a competitive drive
- ELON MAIL – Pleased in 2 here before being sanctioned in a 2575m Agen Class E on 16 March. Is badly-drawn and out of his depth
- JESOLO – Starts for first time since winning a 2200m monte Class E in November. Has other priorities and can be passed over
- KLINGER (NOR) – Has not been seen out since winning over 2100m in Bjerke. Is new to Vincennes and has been handed a shocking draw but has been entrusted to Matthieu Abrivard and is unlikely to be far off the mark
Summary: Hard to fault since leaving the nordics, JOLICOEUR (2) is close to winning another and the draw will do his prospects no disservice. Another horse to have taken superbly to Vincennes conditions, EXPRESS D’ARC (8) may be unraced for 2 months, and starts wide, but simply thrives here and Gabi Gelormini won with him that day. CAVIAR FROM MINE (4) opened his French account last month and returns to Paris with morale restored and, from the 4-spot, a good hand to play. HASHTAG SIMONI (6) would have finished closer to the Mottier-horse last time had he stayed in stride and Alexandre Abrivard will be keen to set things right.

C5 – PRIX KERJACQUES – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Gr2 Race – Harness – EUR € 120,000 - DARDO ZACK – Has not been seen out since finishing last of 11 in a monte Gr.1 over course and distance mid-December and can be confidently written off
- JIMMY FERRO BR – 8th of 15 in a Class C under these conditions early last month and quite simply has nothing to offer
- FACE TIME – In the frame in last 2, most recently 3rd of 11 to INEXESS BLEU (5) in 2850m Gr.3 Prix du Bois de Vincennes here on 22 February. Has no references at this level however, and is unlikely to cause an upset
- GASPAR DE BRION – 4th of 14, a place behind ELVIS DU VALLON (9), in a 2200m Caen Class D on 13 March. Has ample ability and although not the most reliable, still has a reasonable chance of making first 5
- INEXESS BLEU – Has won 7 on the trot, latterly clinching 2850m Gr.3 Prix du Bois de Vincennes here on 22 February. Is as tenacious as they come and can wrap this up
- GASPAR D’ANGIS – Steps back up in class after running close 2nd of 11 to INEXESS BLEU (5) in 2850m Gr.3 Prix du Bois de Vincennes here on 22 February. Is as generous as they come and will be expected to contest the finish once more
- JOUMBA DE GUEZ – Revitalised mare that won Gr.1 Prix de Cornulier before repeating under harness late-February, brilliantly winning 4150m Gr.1 Prix de Paris, and on paper is the main threat to INEXESS BLEU (5)
- INMAROSA – Ran 2nd in Gr.1 Prix de France before coming 4th of 14 to JOUMBA DE GUEZ (7) in 4150m Gr.1 Prix de Paris on 23 February. Shoes back on though and is not a concern this time
- ELVIS DU VALLON – Won 5 straight at Mons before running 3rd of 14 in a 2200m Caen Class D on 13 March, but at this level of competition will have his work cut out
- EMERAUDE DE BAIS – Comfortable winner of 1609m Gr.1 Grand Critérium de Vitesse at Cagnes-sur-Mer early-March. Is less-performant over 2700m but still merits respect
- HUSSARD DU LANDRET – Ran 2nd of 14 to JOUMBA DE GUEZ (7) in 4150m Gr.1 Prix de Paris on 23 February. Has the capacity to surprise and, fresh for the occasion, is not to be underestimated
- HOOKER BERRY – 10th of 11 finishers behind INMAROSA (8) in 2100m Gr.1 Prix de France here on 9 February. 3rd in this race 12 months ago but others still easier to back
- ETONNANT – Made a fine re-entry when 2nd of 7 finishers to EMERAUDE DE BAIS (10) in 1609m Gr.1 Grand Critérium de Vitesse at Cagnes early-March. Won this in 2023 and can again figure prominently
Summary: Although in the company of more titled horses, it is difficult to ignore how sharp INEXESS BLEU (5) is at this level of competition, and in current form it would be no surprise to se him pick up an 8th straight. Alexandre Abrivard will still want to be wary of the exceptional JOUMBA DE GUEZ (7) who has enjoyed quite the renaissance since last autumn. Over recent months, GASPAR D’ANGIS (6) has not put a foot wrong when barefoot and Eric Raffin will be hopeful of a place on the podium, as will Benoît Robin whose HUSSARD DU LANDRET (11) more than redeemed himself last time out. By some margin the wealthiest horse here, ETONNANT (13) was not expected to run this but is never one to be overlooked.

C6 – PRIX CORNELIA – 2850m (a2m) – Gr3 Race – Mounted – EUR € 90,000 - IMPALA DE VAL – Serious sort that missed out by the smallest of margins in a 2700m Class A here on 23 February. Is patently close to winning another and can bring the fight to GAZELLE DE VAL (3)
- HARRY CARISAIE – Currently in good shape, latterly 4th of 14 in a 2875m Enghien Class B 2.5 weeks ago. Has earned the right to take his chances in this class, has already won 5 times for his jockey, but may have to settle for a smaller cheque this time
- GAZELLE DE VAL – 8th of 16 when preparing for this in a 2850m Laval harness Class A 3.5 weeks ago. Has shown the classy side of himself over recent months and on talent alone can make this her own
- HALFA – 7th of 10 in 2850m Gr.1 Prix Henri Desmontils on 1 March. Drops down the class-ladder but still looks to have too much to do
- HOMER DE FROMENTEL – 4th of 9 behind IMPALA DE VAL (1) in a 2700m Class A here on 23 February. Has 2 runs under his belt but nevertheless faces a stiff test
- GALA D’URFIST – Tricky but talented sort that faulted when preparing for this in a 2850m Laval harness Class A on 12 March. Is a different kettle of fish under the saddle and, shod to preference, will be no easy touch if applied
- INSHORE – Ran 5th behind IMPALA DE VAL (1) here late-February before being sanctioned in a 2850m Laval harness conditioner 3.5 weeks ago. Competitively-shod this time and, with application, can get a look-in
- EXTREME DESBOIS – Serious veteran that was sanctioned in a 2625m Agen harness Class A when preparing for this a month back. Has not won since last summer but is here on his merits and must be taken seriously
- HIDALGO DES NOES – 7th of 8 in a 2175m Gr.3 here on 16 February. Front shoes off this time but current form does little to inspire confidence
- HANNIBAL TUILERIE – Back under the saddle after running 6th of 9 in a 2700m Harness Gr.3 here early last month. Ran 3rd in a Gr.2 last time in the code and should again acquit himself competitively
- EPSOM D’HERFRAIE – Could manage only 8th of 11 in a harness Gr.3 over course and distance 2 weeks ago and appears to need another run
Summary: Fifth in the Gr.1 Prix de Cornulier before oddly disappointing in the Gr.1 Prix de l’Ile-de-France a fortnight later, GAZELLE DE VAL (3) was given a change of scenery under harness at Laval and returns barefoot to the ridden code with every chance of imposing. Mathieu Mottier will still be keeping a watchful eye on IMPALA DE VAL (1) who is very hard to fault when barefoot under the saddle, and EXTREME DESBOIS (8) who is considerably better than recent numbers would suggest. HANNIBAL TUILERIE (10) has started to show some monte potential and should have the wherewithal to play a prominent role.

C7 – PRIX DU GERS – 2850m (a2m) – Class A Race – Harness – EUR € 62,000 - OVER THE LIGHT AS – Rather disappointing this year, latterly 8th of 11 finishers in 22 March race of reference and will have nothing to contribute
- NGANNOU – Won 3 in a row at home in Italy before finishing ninth in the race of reference. Not the luckiest that day but still no more than a minor place prospect
- FLAMENCO FER – Opened his Vincennes account at the first time of asking, easily winning at 2100m Class C early last month. Takes on a better lot this time but has bags of potential and could well pull off the 4-timer
- FEUDALE DEGLI DEI – Sanctioned when still competitive in race of reference, not having been seen out since running 4th in Italian Derby last autumn. Will have come on for the run and Yoann Lebourgeois will be determined to make amends
- LORD DE LOIRON – Useful colt but quickly sanctioned in 22 March race of reference. Returns to racing shod and best to keep one’s powder dry
- FERAHAN AS – Defied his 98/1 to run 5th of 15 in 22 March race of reference, although a repeat looks decidedly unlikely
- LE BILLET VERT – Made decent comeback when 3rd of 15 to LORD DU BASSIN (12) in a 2700m Class A here 2 weeks ago. Will have progressed for the run and is in with a reasonable shout of imposing
- LOGAN JIEL – Makes first appearance since running 4th of 11 in a 2700m Gr.3 here on 11 January. Is plainly in competition-mode but can still not be considered a player
- FIRST TIME ROC – Got back in the game when 2nd of 15 to LORD DU BASSIN (12) in a 2700m Class A here 2 weeks ago. Unlikely to repeat but can still be regarded a first-5 candidate
- LE VOYOU D’ALMO – Makes first start since finishing last of 9 in a 2700m monte Gr.3 here late-November. Shoes fitted for comeback and will not be given a hard race
- LYRIKO BELLO – Returns to Vincennes after securing a 2925m Cagnes Class A on 9 March. Is new to 2850m here but has never disappointed at Vincennes and should not be ruled out
- LORD DU BASSIN – Made it 2 in a row when comfortably winning a 2700m Class A here 2 weeks ago. Adores Vincennes and with form maintained can bring home the bacon once again
- LIZZANO D’ALOUETTE – Runner-up in a Gr.3 here late-January before coming 6th of 11 behind LYRIKO BELLO (11) in a 2700m Gr.3 here on 1 March. Is nicely-entered and in this class of race looks competitive for a place in the frame
Summary: A classy colt that has not put a foot wrong lately, LORD DU BASSIN (12) is unbeaten in 2 starts when unshod-behind and Alexandre Abrivard will be intent on keeping it that way. He will still feel the heat from the likes of the improving LE BILLET VERT (7) who ran 3rd to him on re-entry that day, and the Italian FLAMENCO FER (3) who made short work of his Vincennes debut early last month. LIZZANO D’ALOUETTE (13) drops to a more reasonable category and will be competitively-shod for the first time.

C8 – PRIX D’AUBUSSON – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class C Race – Harness – EUR € 68,000 - HIGH FIRE DAIRPET – Failed to confirm good Cagnes performance when last of 14 in a 2150m Enghien Class C 3 weeks ago and is unlikely to shake things up
- CANTO DEI VENTI – Smartly won a 2700m Class D here mid-February. Comes here fresh, well-placed in front, and with Eric Raffin reining again, must be considered a contender
- HONEY KING – Sanctioned in a 2250m Enghien Class C when preparing for this late last month. Simply dynamic when barefoot and is ideally-placed to make a big impact
- FURIOSO FLIGNY – 5th of 15 in a 2700m Class C here early last month. Enjoys a good draw, has been reconfigured, but nevertheless faces a tough ask
- GUERRIER CASTELETS – Produced an 18/1 surprise when 2nd of 16 in a 2900m Amiens Gr.3 a month ago. Unlikely to repeat but benefits from a fine draw here and Matthieu Abrivard will be intent on taking advantage
- HAIDA SAUTONNE – Won 2 of last 3, most recently a 2850m Class D here 2 weeks ago. Starts in front and, considering the engagement, must be worth retaining
- JASON – 6th of 13 behind JOLIE SURPRISE (11) in a 2700m Gr.3 here on 23 February. Tends to go well over 2100m here and, barefoot this time, can open his 2025 account
- HOOPER DES CHASSES – Superb in last 3 starts, latterly winning a 2925m Cagnes Class B on 27 February. Has no particular love for Vincennes but is not incapable of getting a look-in either
- JINGLE DU PONT – Ran 4th in race of reference before enduring a bad trip and losing his action in a 2900m Amiens Gr.3 a month ago. Not ideally-drawn but has the quality to make his presence felt
- JILORD VIVA – Unseen since being sanctioned in a 2700m Lyon-La Soie Class D on 30 January. Shod for the occasion and will have nothing to offer
- JOLIE SURPRISE – Reinvigorated since the turn of the year, most recently 2nd of 13 and a 2700m Gr.3 here on 23 February. Set her personal best time that day and will not be sent out at 55/1 again
- HINDEN – Disappointing 9th of 12 finishers in a 2850m Class D here a fortnight ago. Is out of his league here and can be disregarded
- SCHAMPUS – Opened his French tally at Cagnes before running 7th of 13 behind JOLIE SURPRISE (11) in a 2700m Gr.3 here on 23 February. Will appreciate the shorter trip and despite a 2nd line draw must be afforded respect
- CHERRY TOP – Unplaced in both this term, latterly last but one in a 2150m Enghien Class C 3 weeks ago, and has no possible chance
- CHITCHAT – Reassuring 2nd of 13 in a 2150m Mauquenchy Class D on 17 March. Mathieu Mottier at the helm this time but is forced to break from 15-spot
- BITCOIND’ARC – Has not been seen out since being sanctioned when full of running in a 2700m Class D here on 16 February. Appreciates these conditions but the draw will do him no favours
Summary: Barefoot as he was when third in the Gr.3 Prix de Rouen, JASON (7) is in sufficiently good form to win a race of this nature. He is however going to face opposition from the better-positioned, and in-form, CANTO DEI VENTI (2) who goes well for Eric Raffin, and JOLIE SURPRISE (11) who beat the Levesque-horse last time out. HONEY KING (3) faces his first objective of the new year and races barefoot from the 3-spot.

C9 – PRIX DE SAINTES – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 46,000 - KAYA DU SAPTEL – Encouraging 4th of 11, a place behind KABALVA (4), in a 2400m Amiens Class E a month ago. Reliability not her strong suit but is confirmed over course and distance and despite the hike in category can play a small part
- KALINKA DU GRENAT – Got back in the game at Enghien late last month when dominating a 2150m Class E, at 45/1. A repeat seems improbable but is by no means to be ruled out either
- KADIX DEL PHEDO – 7th of 15 in a 2850m Maure-de-Bretagne Class E 11 days ago. Runs well for the most part in the day’s configuration and can pick up a minor place cheque
- KABALVA – Put on a good show to run 3rd of 11 in a 2400m Amiens Class E a month ago. Has no references at this level though and is unlikely to spring any surprises
- KOUREAS D’ELA – Left a good impression when 2nd of 7 in a 2875m Meslay-du-Maine monte Class D 2.5 weeks ago but, under harness, cannot be considered a concern
- KALIE WOOD – Won over track and trip late-February before being disqualified in a 2875m Meslay-du-Maine Class D 2.5 weeks ago. Back to racing barefoot and is thoroughly capable of setting the record straight
- KENISA – 2nd over 2850m here before running 4th of 14 in a 2850m Laval Class E on 12 March. Regularly in the thick of things and Matthieu Abrivard can legitimately envisage a spot in the mix
- KISMIE DE MONTFORT – Good dual-discipline mare making first appearance since finishing last but one in a monte Class D under these conditions on 25 November. Is expected to be race-fit and is still very much in the running
- KISS ME DU RUEL – Makes first start since faulting in a Class D over course and distance on 11 February. Shoes on and no threat
- KID LEA DRIVER – Hard to fault over recent months, latterly comfortable winner of a 2850m Mauquenchy Class E on 17 March. Appreciates the main track and looks a solid place prospect
- KALIAKIE PHEDO – Won 4 of last 5, most recently a 2450m Caen Class E on 10 March. Thrives with her driver who will be eyeing another score. Claim
- KISS ME DOMPIERRE – Looked ordinary when 10th of 16 behind KLASSE DE BRUZEAU (16) in a 2875m Enghien Class D 2.5 weeks ago and is not about to influence the outcome
- KELLE STAR DI PAO – Sanctioned in Lyon before coming last of 12 finishers behind KLASSE DE BRUZEAU (16) in a 2875m Enghien Class D 2.5 weeks ago. Is barefoot this time, with Yoann Lebourgeois reining, but others still easier to recommend
- KIWA BLEUE – 5th of 16, a place behind KLASSE DE BRUZEAU (16) in a 2150m Enghien Class D on 11 March. Takes on some tough horses this time and can expect to have few takers
- KILLARNEY – Twice sanctioned before running 7th of 16 behind KLASSE DE BRUZEAU (16) in a 2875m Enghien Class D 2.5 weeks ago. Has ample talent though and David Thomain will be keen to take advantage of the good entry
- KLASSE DE BRUZEAU – 5th of 16 in a 2875m Enghien Class D 2.5 weeks ago. Enjoys a wonderful entry but nonetheless has a lot more to find
Summary: A winner under these conditions late last year, KALIAKIE PHEDO (11) has gone on to win 3 more, excels with Francois Lagadeuc, and once again looks the pick of the field. She will however encounter resistance from KALIE WOOD (6) who races barefoot following her Meslay sanction, and KID LEA DRIVER (10) who secured a well-earned victory last time out. KISMIE DE MONTFORT (8) has not been seen since November but is barefoot for re-entry and Eric Raffin has never disappointed with her.
