C1 – PRIX DU PORT AU FOUIN – 2000m (a1m1/4) – TURF – Divided Handicap – Flat – EUR € 55,000

  1. SENORITO – In very good form and was runner-up last time out in a Conditions race at Toulouse over 2100m on 3 March. First time in a handicap and has a place chance
  2. LE ROI LEON – Not disgraced when fourth in a Conditions race at Lyon-Parilly over 1600m on 16 April. Might play a minor role on handicap debut
  3. PRADO – Very consistent and was fourth in a Conditions race at Salon-de-Provence over 2000m on 17 April. Should be competitive once again
  4. BEST SECRET – Returned from a break and was runner-up in a Conditions race at Saint-Cloud over 2100m on 4 April. First time in a handicap and can go one better this time
  5. GOOD SPEED – Has improved of late and was third in a handicap at Chantilly over 1900m on 31 March. Can contest the finish
  6. AZORIAN – Not disgraced when fourth in a Conditions race at Saint-Cloud over 2400m on 29 March. Can earn some minor money on handicap debut
  7. DALAKIR – Has improvement with each run and was victorious in a Conditions race at Le Lion-d’Angers over 2000m on 6 April. Can follow up on handicap debut
  8. VEGETALE – Has done well on the PSF so far and was third last time out in a Conditions race over 1900m on 24 March. Could earn some minor money
  9. PRINCESSE D’AMOUR – Not disgraced when third in a Conditions race at Saint-Cloud over 2100m on 11 April. Could be in the mix of things once again
  10. PERIHELIO – Has struggled in both his starts this year and was 11th on handicap debut at Chantilly over 1900m on 31 March. Capable of better but others are preferred
  11. MARVELOUS BY NIGHT – Holding form and was fourth in a handicap at Chantilly over 1900m on 31 March. Very consistent and has a place chance
  12. DUCHESSE DE MORNY – Did not run too badly when 6th in a handicap at Chantilly over 1900m on 31 March. Capable of getting involved with the finish
  13. SEONA – Has some fair form and was not disgraced when 5th in a handicap at Chantilly over 2000m on 10 April. Capable of making the frame
  14. TAKE ME I’M YOURS – In good form and was victorious last time out in a handicap at Chantilly over 2000m on 10 April. Carries 2.50kg penalty but could earn some money
  15. RAKAN – Finished 6th last time out in a Conditions race at Saint-Cloud over 2100m on 4 April. Did better on the PSF before that and has a place chance
  16. TRUST ON – May have needed his only run of this year when 5th in a Conditions race at Saint-Cloud over 2100m on 4 April. Might play a minor role
    Summary: BEST SECRET (4) has only had four starts and looks capable of making a winning handicap debut. However, this is a very competitive race. GOOD SPEED (5) produced a solid third on his handicap debut and can improve again. DALAKIR (7) has progressed with each outing and scored a good win earlier this month. PRADO (3) is consistent and should be in the thick of the action once again. GOOD SPEED (5) is worth a good look in too.

  19. SANGRE DE DRAGO – Unreliable and was 9th last time out in a handicap at this track over 1300m on 24 April. Capable of better and has a place chance in this line-up
  20. SOLAS – Did not show her best when 7th in a Conditions race at Deauville over 1500m on 24 January. All three wins have been on the PSF but she has run well enough on the grass to be a threat to these rivals
  21. LAFORMUL SANSOUCI – Disappointing of late and was 6th last time out in a Conditions race at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 2000m on 25 February. Distance suits and she could surprise
  22. MANDATORY – Yet to win a race and was 8th last time out in a handicap at Chantilly over 2000m on 10 April. Needs to find a few lengths to win this race
  23. HEMATITE – Unreliable and was 13th in a handicap over this track and trip on 13 April. Did much better on the PSF but can make the frame
    Summary: FLY HALF (1) has been tackling longer distances of late but is suited to this trip and drops into a claimer this time. He sets the standard for the race. SOLAS (4) has only won on the PSF so far but has also performed well on turf and should be involved at the finish. ROYAL ENCLOSURE (2) needed his last run and is suited to this distance; he has a winning chance. HEMATITE (7) is better on the PSF but could still make the frame.

  27. OLYA – Has been fair of late and was fourth in a Conditions race at Saint-Cloud over 2100m on 11 April. Probably better over this distance and should fight out the finish
  28. ALSABA – Yet to win a race but has been runner-up in her last three starts, the latest in a Conditions race at Chantilly over 1600m on 10 April. Should contest the finish
  29. ISNEAUVILLE – A good winner on her debut in a Conditions race at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 1500m on 13 March. Can follow up
  30. RAOULE – Not disgraced when 5th in a Group 3 at Saint-Cloud over 2100m on 29 March. Capable of better and should be very competitive in this line-up
  31. REAL SOCIEDAD – A winner at her second start, a Conditions race at Le Mans over 1950m on 10 March. Capable of making the frame
  32. ARDEUR – Probably needed her only run of the year when 7th in a Conditions race at Chantilly over 1400m on 27 March. Fitter this time and could be the surprise package of the race.
  33. TEMPTABLE – Has performed well on the PSF and was victorious in a Conditions race at Chantilly over 1600m on 4 March. Could have more to offer and has a winning chance
    Summary: ISNEAUVILLE (6) made a winning debut at Cagnes-sur-Mer and looks to have plenty of ability. She can double up against these rivals. TEMPTABLE (10) has performed well so far and could follow up when trying turf for the first time. BLOWN BY THE WIND (1) has needed both her runs this year and could now be ready to produce an improved performance. REAL SOCIEDAD (8) showed progress when scoring at Le Mans and cannot be ruled out.

  38. NARKEZ – Did not show his best when 5th in a Listed race at Newmarket over 1800m on 17 April. Distance suits and he should fight out the finish.
  39. CLAVUS – Has lost his way and was unplaced last time out in a handicap at this track over 1400m on 6 April. Needs to find a few lengths to win this race
  40. GREY MAN – Returned from a break and was runner-up last time out in a Conditions race at Lyon-Parilly over 1350m on 16 April. Has done well over this track and trip and can contest the finish
  41. CI MER – Did not show her best when 5th in a Conditions race at Deauville on 24 October. Returns from a break and needs to do more to beat these rivals
    Summary: CARAMELITO (3) returns from a break but could be a step or two quicker than these rivals. He loves this course and, from a good draw, could get the run of the race. NARKEZ (5) disappointed at Newmarket but is at his best over this distance and should be in the fight for victory. ARNIS MASTER (4) has performed well in Italy and can be competitive here. GREY MAN (7) has shown good form over this course and distance and is not out of it.

    Summary: ROULETTE (9) just found one too good last time out and with a nice handy weight, he could be ideally placed to get the job done. KING LUDWIG (10) put his act together to win at his latest outing and with further improvement on the cards, he can go back to back. DSCHINGIS ZANDEE (11) notched up her second victory for the year and steps into a competitive contest but she remains with solid claims. AMIRAL D’AUMONT (8) was just behind the top choice last time out and shouldn’t be far off the action once again.

    Summary: EN PLEIN AIR (3) produced a big finish against stronger last time out and will be suited by the step down in class. He should have every chance of breaking the ice with Christian Demuro in the irons once again. ZANONA (12) is another that hasn’t won a race yet but in this company, she will be very effective. MARLOWE (2) arrives in solid form and will be a massive contender for top honors. FLEXIBILITY (9) is better than her latest and should be in the mix.

    Summary: In a race where one form line will be under spotlight as a number of runners are represented by it and if it fails to spark up, there could be damage done. LE NOTRE (4) has been holding useful form this year and looks to run for his rider so its a positive to see Glen Meury engaged once again and if able to recapture his best form, he could win this. FALABELLA (13) is a longstanding maiden who continues to keep one interested and is worth including. LA MAZZI GOGO (12) is running very well at present and has seemed to turn the corner for good this year. She will have her supporters and will be in the mix. MICCOSUKEE (11) is a consistent performer who has the right credentials in a race of this nature.

IRISH DU GOUET (16) showed up very well last time out and with a repeat effort, he could go one better. ANDOUINS (2) is running very well at present and is likely to be in the firing line once again.

  5. MANTILLE VRIE – Much improved last run when fourth in class F over this course and distance on 18 April. Might play a minor role
  6. MINERVE DE VANDEL – Not disgraced when 5th in Class F over this course and distance on 12 March. Has a place chance in this line-up
  7. MARIEVA DE LOU – Showed promise on debut when runner-up in Class F at Amiens over 2400m on 7 April. Be right there at the finish

    Summary: MARGOT PAROYO (12) was unlucky not to win over this course and distance earlier this month and can go one better this time. MAHORA D’OURVILLE (11) won well on debut but spoiled her chances with a disqualification at Rambouillet; she would not be a surprise winner. MARIEVA DE LOU (7) found only one too good on debut and could contest the finish. MISS BLACK BERRY (3) is well-bred and could show significant improvement after some earlier disqualifications.

KAVALA DE PADD (14) takes a dip in class after a fine Gr.2 Prix Henri Levesque run and even with hind shoes on looks the main danger. The well-engaged KASH LADY (15) was being conditioned that day and goes barefoot this time, but she may first have to defer to a reconfigured KRACOVIA (7) who will be race-fit by now.

  44. ERNEST JET – Ran 2nd of 15 to PANTOCRATOR (6) in a 2850m Vincennes Class B on 11 April. Should have no issue with the Enghien conditions and will be no pushover
  45. KOMPOSTEL – Last of 8 when being prepared for this in a Class A over course and distance 11 days ago. Has decent Enghien references but would be preferred with pads
    Summary: A fine campaigner that seldom disappoints in France, NELSON GREENWOOD (4) takes to Enghien for the first time, in excellent shape, and can finally put an end to his streak of second places. Alexandre Abrivard will still be keeping a watchful eye on the Swedish CAVIAR FROM MINE (7) who makes his Enghien debut on a hat-trick, and PANTOCRATOR (6) who set the record straight across town earlier in the month. ERNEST JET (11) ran 2nd to him that day and even though new to the venue nevertheless looks a player.

  49. IZIO DU POMMEREUX – Back in his preferred category after finishing last but one inn a 2100m Vincennes claimer mid-April. Goes well at Enghien though, has been handed a good number, and can more than make amends

  52. IPSO DU FER – 11th of 13 in a 2100m Vincennes claimer a fortnight ago. Won a claimer last time here, and sports 4 pads for the occasion, but others still easier to back
  53. I KEEP CALM – Drops in category after running 5th of 15 in a 2650m Cordemais Class E 10 days ago. Forced to start wide though, and has yet to deliver in the claiming division
  54. KAJAGOOGOO – Disappointing over recent months, latterly 8th of 13 in a 2850m Class C at Maure-de-Bretagne a week ago, and can be passed over
  55. KINNAIRD – Good, consistent mare that ran 5th in 17 April race of reference. Alice Bourgoin would have preferred a better draw but pleased on lone claiming start and must not be underestimated
  56. JEAN MADRIK – 4th of 18, a place behind KRAFEN (6), in a 2875m claimer here on 17 April. Unlucky in this race 12 months ago and with application can defy the draw and finish close
  57. IPSOS MARANCOURT – Makes just 2nd appearance at this level after running 2nd of 15 in a 2625m Saint-Omer Class F 2.5 weeks ago
  58. JUAN CARLOS GIFONT – Won a claimer over track and trip last month prior to coming 8th of 13 in a 2625m Cherbourg Class F 9 days ago. Won on lone association with Maxime Herrault who will hope to keep the ball rolling. Claim
  59. INCREDIBLE GO – Last of 15 on re-entry in a 2800m Vire Class G 10 days ago. Went into his winter break after imposing over track and trip and, despite a tough draw, he races barefoot and could pleasantly surprise
  60. ICARE DE LA DORETE – Returns to a previous formula after coming 6th of 12 in a 2500m Reims Class G mid-March but will still have little to offer
  61. IRIS D’AVIGNERE – Modest individual that was sanctioned in a 2550m Bordeaux amateurs Class G on 14 April and has no possible chance
    Summary: Winner of a claimer under these conditions late last month, JUAN CARLOS GIFONT (13) has shown a liking for Enghien and, even from the 2nd line, can confirm. He will still come under pressure from front-line starters KRAFEN (6) who ran 3rd over course and distance just a fortnight ago, and the better-positioned IZIO DU POMMEREUX (4) who boasts a decent record at this level. JEAN MADRIK (11) finished a place behind Grégory Thorel’s horse here two weeks ago and must be afforded respect.

    Summary: Twice a winner in the space of a month last autumn, MONTENEGRO (4) makes his much-awaited return to the track and even without a race under his belt, still looks the horse to beat. That being said, there is no question regarding the fitness of MESSIRE DU GERS (9) who got off the mark last week. MAGNUM (5) made up at Maure last week for a pair of sanctions and will be no easy touch if focused. Winner on re-entry before running 2nd at Caen, MOHAWK (7) takes on better this time but still looks competitively well-in.

  75. MY QUALITA PIYA – Has shown marked improvement lately, most recently winning a 2450m Caen Class F early last month. Has decent speed, is ideally-placed behind the car, and a repeat would be little surprise
  76. MAJESTY QUICK – Made up for Reims performance when successful in a 2300m Marseille-Borely Class F a fortnight ago. Well-placed in front and is unlikely to return home empty-handed
  77. MANILLE D’ERABLE – Faithful servant that ran 3rd of 12 in a 2800m Argentan Class E on 14 April. Has been knocking at the door and, even in this company, can pick up some prizemoney
  78. MA CATHERINECHERIE – Steps up in category after comfortably winning a 2100m Feurs Class F on 7 April. Starts wide and takes on a better bunch, but will have her supporters
  79. MILADY WIND – 4th of 6 finishers in a 2200m Vincennes monte Class D mid-month. Has shown decent aptitude for the harness code but is being aimed too high
  80. MILANTERA – Won 2 at San Siro before faulting in a 2200m Vincennes Class D mid-month. Enghien should please her nicely and will not be far from the action if Gabi Gelormini assures her initial strides
  81. MADNESS SAM – Runner-up at Nancy before repeating in a 2650m Cordemais Class E 10 days ago. Beaten only by a good horse that day and must be respected
  82. MADE OF DREAMS – Untried filly that qualified in 1’18″7 at Caen last August. Starts on back line and unlikely to influence the result
  83. MIAMI – Decent 3rd of 8 in a 2450m Caen Class E on 10 March. On back row and in this company is unlikely to repeat
  84. MAMOUNIA SEVEN – Comfortable winner of a 2850m Laval Class F on 12 days ago. Will have found her feet, should appreciate the Enghien profile, and can repeat
  85. MAUNY DE PLAY – Honest filly being stepped up in category after running 3rd of 12 in a 2400m Amiens Class F on 7 April, but at this level will struggle to make her mark
    Summary: Winner on debut recently, MAMOUNIA SEVEN (13) is forced to break from the back line but she will have come on for the raceand Nicolas Bazire can be justifiably confident of a big run. He will still want to be wary of the well-positioned MY QUALITA PIYA (4) who has been afforded time to recover after opening her account at Caen last month, and MA JOLIE JIEL (2) who clearly has a lot of potential. MADNESS SAM (10) is close to her race and will not be far off the mark if Robin Lamy successfully navigates the start.

  90. INDIGO DU PERCHE – Makes Enghien debut after securing 2 of last 3, mostrecently a 2700m amateurs Class G at La Capelle last week. Enjoys a front-row break and must be taken seriously
  91. JOKER D’AMARO – Imposed at Reims before dominating a 2600m Nancy Class F last week, and a similar performance would see him pull off the 3-timer
  92. HURRICANE WIND – Has not been seen out since being sanctioned in a 2700m Segre Class F last October, but won under these conditions last time here and will generate some interest
  93. GRYFFONDOR DU POLI – Excellent servant with nothing to prove at this level, most recently 2nd of 12 under similar conditions here on 25 March, and despite the handicap still looks a serious proposition
  94. INES DE LA ROUVRE – 5th of 16 in a 2800m Pontchateau Class D 2 weeks ago. Has been reconfigured for the occasion but still looks a player
  95. FIRST DE ROUGEMONT – Last of 13 when preparing for this in a 2900m Amiens Class F on Saturday and backs up with a reasonable chance of finishing in the mix
  96. HEMILIO PIERJI – 7th of 13 in a 2100m Lisieux Class F on 27 March and with shoes on here, will have little to contribute
  97. JEUNE AMI – Unseen since being sanctioned in a 2850m Vincennes Class B mid-December. Hard to knock when focused but would be preferred barefoot
  98. GOHAKI – Useful sort making first appearance since faulting early in a 2925m Cagnes Class D on 28 February. Will be fresh, is ideally-engaged at the limit of earnings and, with application, can make first 5
    Summary: Winner of his last 2, and ideally-entered on the front row, JOKER D’AMARO (6) has previously won over course and distance and returns to the amateur division with a realistic chance of pulling off the hat-trick. He will, however, be pitted against back-row starter GRYFFONDOR DU POLI (8) who has twice run 2nd under their conditions recently, and the better-placed INDIGO DU PERCHE (5) who has won 2 of his last 3. INES DE LA ROUVRE (9) makes just her 2nd start in the category after running 5th in a Quinte and, even though sporting pads this time, is unlikely to disappoint.
