C1 – PRIX DE SAINT-GEORGES – 1000m (a5f) – TURF – Gr3 Race – Flat – EUR € 80,000

  1. KERAN – Two placed efforts this year, 2nd in a Listed race on the most recent over 1100m at Deauville on April 8th. Down in trip and tries this distance for the first time and has a leading chance
  2. KYLIAN – Unplaced last time, he won before that over 1000m at Wolverhampton (UK) on an all weather surface on January 25th. Has yet to win on the turf
  3. ZORKEN – 6th last time out, he won before that over 1100m at Chantilly on September 16th in a Class 1 race. Others preferred
  4. PONNTOS – Unplaced last time, 2nd before that over 1000m in a Group 3 race at Meydan (UAE) on March 1st. Won the Prix Du Gros-Chene (Gr.2) last June at Chantilly over 1000m. One to keep safe
  5. CIAO PA’ – Won last time over 1100m in a Class 3 claimer at Chantilly on April 28th. This requires a good bit more
  6. LESSLEPASSER – Ran well to be 2nd over 1100m in a Class 2 race at Fontainebleau on March 14th. One to consider each-way
  7. PRADARO – Two unplaced runs this year, the latter over 1200m at Chantilly on April 14th in a Class 2 handicap. Can threaten if back to his best when winning over track and trip in a Group 3 last year
  8. MGHEERA – Three unplaced runs since a 3rd over 1000m in a Listed race at Deauville on August 4th. Makes limited appeal
  9. ELECTRIC STORM – Won on the seasonal return over 1000m in a Listed race at Bath (UK) on April 20th, 2nd over track and trip last September in the Prix Du Petit Couvert (G3). Can feature
    Summary: KERAN (1) could thrive over this trip. He has performed well on both starts this year, the latest over 1100m in a Listed race at Deauville early last month when second. PONNTOS (4) is a threat and likes this distance, having scored at Chantilly in the Prix Du Gros-Chene (Gr.2) last June. PRADARO (7) won a Group 3 last year over track and trip and should not be overlooked. ELECTRIC STORM (9) won on his seasonal return in a Listed race over 1000m and warrants respect.

  11. JONES – Ran well to be 2nd over 2100m at Saint-Cloud in a Group 3 race on March 29th. She seems progressive and is hard to ignore
  12. FLAMING STONE – Nice 2nd over 1800m in a Group 3 at Parislongchamp on April 6th, and a Listed race win before that on March at Saint-Cloud. Player
  13. GEZORA – Fair 3rd in a Group 3 race at Parislongchamp on April 6th last time, she won before that over 1600m in a Group 3 race at Deauville on October 21st. Respect
    Summary: All four fillies have a chance in this Group 3 race. AUDUBON PARK (1) is still unexposed and has not as much experience as her rivals, but looked like a class act when scoring by four lengths in a Listed race at Saint-Cloud in early March. She can edge this over FLAMING STONE (3), who was second in a Group 3 race over 1800m at this track in early April last time out. GEZORA (4) was back in third in the same race and is also worth considering.

  16. MORPHEWAN – Ran well to be 2nd over 1900m at Bordeaux Le Bouscat on April 29th in a Class 2 race last time. One to keep onside
  17. TRABUCO – 3rd last time over 2400m in a Listed race at this track on April 13th. Drops in trip and it may not be a positive
  18. ORANDI – 3rd last time, he won before that at the Curragh (IRL) in a conditions race on March 16th over 1600m. Pass over this time
  19. GAMESTARS – Two unplaced runs of late, the latter over 1800m at Chantilly on October 29th in a Class 1 race. Might find this difficult
  20. ROCK BLANC – 4th on the most recent outing over 2100m at Saint-Cloud on April 11th in a Class 1 race. Others seem better handicapped
  21. WATCH HIM – Faired well to be 3rd over 1900m in a Class 2 handicap at Chantilly on March 24th on the last run. In the mix

  24. PARTENIT – Placed on the last three runs, 4th on the latest over 2400m at Lyon Parilly in a Class 2 race on April 19th. Unlikely to be involved
  25. AMERICAN LAWYER – Placed 3rd last time over 2100m at Saint-Cloud on May 1st in a Class 3 race. Others seem better equipped
  26. ZORA – Creditable 2nd over 1850m in a conditions race at Koln (DEU) on April 21st when last seen. One to pay attention too
  27. EN OR – Unplaced on the only run this year over 1400m at Naas (IRL) on March 23rd in a conditions race. Might find this a step too far
  28. HYPERCORE – Unplaced last time, he won before that over 1900m at Chantilly on March 4th in a Class 2 handicap on the PSF. He has won on turf before and ought to be on the premises
  29. TRIBAL CHIEF – He has been in top form recently, 2nd over 1600m at Newmarket (UK) on April 17th in a Class 2 handicap. Improved last year, winning four times. Key chance
  30. ALMIRO – Won last time over 2000m at Saint-Cloud on March 29th in a Class 2 handicap. Might find a few of these too smart
  31. RUSSIPANT FAL – Made all the running when scoring over 2100m at Saint-Cloud last time on May 1st in a Class 3 race. Capable of making the top four
  32. VILLA DES ARTS – Won on the last start over 2000m at this track in a Class 2 handicap on April 17th. Might be in the grip of the handicapper
  33. LOVE IS GOLD – Two unplaced runs since a 2nd over 1900m at Chantilly on March 4th in a Class 2 handicap. Faces a stiff challenge
    Summary: TRIBAL CHIEF (16) stands out as the likely winner after a strong return effort when second at Newmarket in a Class 2 handicap, suggesting there’s more to come this season. HYPERCORE (15) should not be judged too harshly on his latest run and could bounce back, especially if he returns to the form of his penultimate start. EVERILLO (10) looks solid for each-way players with consistent recent form. MORPHEWAN (3) ran well last time and commands respect, while WATCH HIM (8) has the class to get involved if things fall his way.

  49. SURVIVOL – Five unplaced runs, the most recent over 1300m at Deauville on January 31st in a handicap. Looks of limited talent
    Summary: AIR DE SAMBA (15) ran her best race when she was second at Argentan in early April on her latest start and is racing from the right end of the handicap. She is given the vote ahead of GRAND SON HAVANA (11), who was third in the Argentan race. His latest run was on the PSF and can be forgiven when seventh at Chantilly. FIREMAN (3) ran well to be second at Senonnes two runs back and enters calculations. DAKOTA SKY (12) and KALINAGO (2) are both worthy each-way options.

  54. DOS MUKASAN – Won over track and trip in a Class 1 race on April 17th on his last start. Looks like he is an improving colt
  55. AOMORI CITY – Fair 3rd over 1600m in a Group 3 at Newmarket (UK) on April 16th. Won the Vintage Stakes (Gr.2) over 1400m at Goodwood (UK) last July. Can step forward form his last run and have a say
  56. REACH THE SKY – Won a Class 1 race at Marseille Borely on April 22nd last time out. Up in class and needs vast progress to make the frame
  57. DETAIN – Won over 1600m at Chelmsford (UK) on the all weather surface on April 3rd on his return run of the year. Beaten in a Group 1 last year on his final start in October over 1600m. Outside place chance
  58. JONQUIL – Won over 1400m in a Group 3 race at Newbury on April 12th on his first run of the year. Capable of making an impact
  59. HEYBETLI – 4th over 1600m in a Group 3 race on April 13th behind RIDARI (1 ) last time. Needs a good deal more to have a say
  60. ZARRAF – 4th last time out in a Class 1 race over track and trip on April 17th after a win on debut in March over 2000m at Saint-Cloud. Opposable
  61. HENRI MATISSE – Won a Group 3 at Leopardstown (IRL) on March 30th on his seasonal return. Signed off the 2024 season with a win in the Breeders Cup Juvenile Turf (Gr.1) at Del Mar (USA) on November 1st over 1600m. Live chance
  62. LUTHER – Ran well to be 2nd over 1600m in a conditions race at Chelmsford (UK) behind DETAIN ( 8 ) on April 3rd, when slightly unlucky. Listed winner as a two-year-old over 1650m. Hard task ahead
  63. TIPINSO – Placed on both starts this year, the latter when 2nd over 1600m in a Listed race at Toulouse on April 22nd. Unlikely to trouble the principles
  64. HOUQUETOT – Unplaced last time, he won before that over 1400m in a Group 3 race at this track on September 8th. Has work to do to make his presence felt
  65. HOTAZHELL – Class act, won four of his six starts last year, the latest when winning the William Hill Futurity Trophy Stakes (GR.1) at Doncaster (UK) over 1600m on October 26th. Leading contender
  66. SERENGETI – Unplaced last time over 1400m at Naas (IRL) on March 23rd, he won before that over 1400m at Dundalk (IRL) in October. Unlikely to be involved at the finish
  67. CAMILLE PISSARRO – Fair 2nd over 1400m in a Listed race at the Curragh (IRL) on March 29th and a win before that in the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere (Gr.1) over 1400m at this track last October. Can make his presence felt
    Summary: A large field for this Group 1 Classic. HENRI MATISSE (12) won his trial, a Group 3 race at Leopardstown (IRL) late in March, and will have improved for that run. He won the Breeders Cup Juvenile Turf (Gr.1) at Del Mar last November and is preferred over JONQUIL (9), who won a Group 3 race at Newbury (UK) on his return run in early April and will be primed for this race. AOMORI CITY (6) can improve from his third at Newmarket (UK) last month, and has a say in proceedings. CAMILLE PISSARRO (18) won the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere (Gr.1) over 1400m at this track last October and can not be ruled out.

  69. ZARIGANA – Has sparkling form, was victorious in a Group 3 at this track over 1600m on the 13th of April and is clearly on the upgrade. She looks ready to win her first Group 1
  70. GHOUFRANN – Raced on the 8th of April over 1400m at Deauville finishing 2nd in a Group 3 race behind BETTER TOGETHER (11). Improvement likely and looks set to give a good account of herself
  71. SHES PERFECT – Caught the eye last time when 2nd at this course over 1600m in Group 3 and has to be taken very seriously and included in all bets. Good chance
  72. GODSPEED – Finished 3rd at Parislongchamp over 1600m behind ZARIGANA (2). Caught the eye on this occasion and could spring a surprise
  73. BEDTIME STORY – Has won Group 2 and 3 in Ireland, placed 5th at this track when making her local debut and has tons of scope to build on that. Good each way claims
  74. EXACTLY – Interesting runner who finished 2nd at Leopardstown in Ireland on the 30th of March over 1400m in a Group 3. Overall form is solid and has a bright chance
  75. MERRILY – Daughter of No Nay Never that makes her local debut which makes it a tad difficult to assess and predict her performance. She was 9th at Leopardstown over 1400m on the 30th of last month. Has a bit to find
  76. DAYLIGHT – Finished 3rd at Deauville on the 8th of April over 1400m in the Group 3 Prix Imprudence and should be very competitive in this. Respect and include
  77. MIMOS – Is a likely outsider but has run some very fair races, finished 4th at Deauville over 1400m last time out and could be the value here for the places
  78. BETTER TOGETHER – Comes into the big race fresh off a victory at Deauville over 1400m the Group 3 Prix Imprudence and has to be taken very seriously. Strong each way chance
  79. HEAVENS GATE – Was way back in the field last time when placing 15th at Newbury and has patchy overall form from all over the place. More needed to threaten here and can be passed by
  80. CELESTIAL ORBIT – Races in France for the very first time, caught the attention when 2nd at Newmarket over 1400m on the 15th of last month in a competitive Group race. First four chances
    Summary: ZARIGANA (2) is a talented 3-time winning filly that looks ready to win her first Group 1 after a heartbreaking defeat in the Prix Marcel Boussac last year. She won her comeback run over the course & distance in a Group 3 and is all set for a big show. Stablemate MANDANABA (1) is undoubtably the main danger to the first pick. She has been impeccable thus far scoring two from two, her last in a Group 3. BETTER TOGETHER (11) has won her last three races on the trot and added two quality features to her CV already, along the way. She has strong each way claims. EXACTLY (7) has been racing in other centers and can be given a bright place chance.

  81. AL ZWAIR – Will need to build on last run when 12th over 2100m and is hard to make a case for. Happy to ignore from all bets
  82. LUWSAIL – Was a winner of the last start which was in a Group 1 at Al Uqda on the 10th of last month. One for the shortlist and a must for the quartet
  83. RB KINGMAKER – Raced in Saudi Arabia on the 21st of February over 2100m putting in a winning performance in a Group 1. He has talent and is a must for all bets. Big chance
  84. CH’EZZA – Finished 4th at Al Uqda over 2300m on the 16th of February in top class company and should be able to finish in the first four. Good chance
  85. MURAAD – Is a model of consistency and winning consistency at that. He won over 2000m at Toulouse last time in Group 2 class and is confidently selected to follow up
  86. NOUR AL MAURY – She can be expected to do way more than her last effort when finishing 6th over 2300m on the 16th of February. Good each way chance
    Summary: MURAAD (5) gets the services of Maxime Guyon in this Group 1 Arabian bred race, and they look the ones to be with. NOUR AL MAURY (6) can be forgiven for the last run when 6th in Qatar over 2300m and can be expected to do way better. She was a winner in her penultimate start. RB KINGMAKER (3) was an impressive victor in Saudi Arabia last time when running over 2100m in Group 1 class. This was back in February, but he can race fresh and race well. Big chance. CH’EZZA (4) has a strong place chance and can threaten all the way home.

  87. ACCLAM – Finished 5th last time but was a winner before that over 1500m of a Handicap at Marseille Vivaux and should make a race of it. Good chance
  88. NOLITO – Placed 2nd at La Teste over 1600m but in a weak class field, could be able to place again but others are preferred. Not easy to fancy
  89. GOLDFIELD – Last run a concern but did place 3rd at Deauville before that. If bringing that effort into the race, will have a small, outside place chance
  90. PIERRE PREMIER – Much better run on the 10th of last month over 1400m finishing 3rd at Chantilly in Handicap company. An outsider that is worth including for the minor positions
  91. WHITE PLATIN – Posted a much better effort last time when placing 2nd at this course over 1400m in Handicap class on the 27th of April. Strong each way chance, can win
  92. JONIN – Was a winner at Fontainebleau over 1600m on the 12th of last month and is clearly very talented. She rates the horse they all have to beat. Bright win chance
  93. AL DAAYEN – Will need to do way more than last 10th over 1600m at Saint-Cloud on the 11th of last month and others are far preferred. Can be overlooked
  94. BIG LOG – Will need to do more than last run when only 9th at Chantilly over 1200m in a Handicap. Can be overlooked as prefer others for the win
  95. CHALDERO – Was a winner of a weak contest at Prague last time and has plenty more to do here. Not easy to fancy
  96. TERREDEGUERRE – Current form has been steadily on the decline over various tracks and trips which is naturally a worry and therefore, if placing, it would be a shock. Pass by
  97. ECLAIRE LA VIE – Ran 3rd at La Teste on the 24th of last month over 1600m and can certainly make a race of it. Each way chance
  98. SPEZIAL – Finished 7th last time, placed 3rd before that over 1400m in a Handicap at Saint-Cloud and could represent some outside place value for the quartet
    Summary: JONIN (6) is lightly raced and quickly improving. Her last run was a winning one when competing at Fontainebleau over 1600m on the 12th of April. If she were to follow up and win again, it would be absolutely no shock at all. WHITE PLATIN (5) posted a much more encouraging performance last time finishing 2nd at this course over 1400m. ACCLAM (1) has solid form and is never far off the action. He can never be ignored from any betting calculations. BIG LOG (8) can do much more than he has been recently and could provide some good value if placing.

  101. ALPHABIA – Won three races back but the two efforts thereafter have been dismal. Absolutely impossible to make a case for on last two starts. Pass by
  102. VILLA DARYA – Brings solid, consistent form into the contest, placed 2nd at Lyon Parilly over 2000m on the 23rd of April and should be a serious contender here. Bright each way claims
  103. RAQEEBB – Placed 3rd at Parislongchamp over 2000m on the 17th of April in Handicap class and has a bright winning chance today. The one to be with
  104. ALFRED – Current form leaves a lot to be desired, hard to make a case for and can be ignored from all bets. Pass by
  105. ETERNEL’S BEAUTE – She improved on average recent runs last time to finish just off the winner in 2nd place at this track over 2000m and could easily go one more. Big runner
  106. TREATWOOD – Never too far off the action and can build on latest effort at this venue over 2000m but will need to. Could be the value choice for the quartets
  107. MISS WHITE SOCKS – Is a two-time winner; the second victory came three starts back at Saint-Cloud over 2000m and could get into the action at likely attractive odds. Outside place chance
  108. SOUS INFLUENCE – Consistent and encouraging form, placed 2nd over 2000m at this venue last time and can go one better. Strong each way claims
  109. ODEMAR – Fresh off a victory at Saint-Cloud over 2100m earlier last month and can go back-to-back. Has won two out of his last three and is a serious chance here
  110. HARTWOOD MAN – Will need to progress on overall form to feature here and would be a shock winner. Last run was at this course over 2000m but uninspiring. Not easy to like
    Summary: RAQEEBB (5) is Alexis Pouchin’s ride, and they are selected to win this contest. He caught the attention last time when finishing 3rd at Parislongchamp over 2000m in a fair Handicap indicating that the next win is near. ETERNEL’S BEAUTE (7) made threats on the 17th of last month when 2nd at this track showing that the three runs prior were all wrong. He should go very close to getting it all right. VILLA DARYA (4) has a huge place chance and GRAND BALCON (1) gets the services of a top rider and is a natural inclusion for most betting permutations.

    Summary: Following his winter break, IVAN DE L’ERDRE (14) gave a good account of himself on his first amateur start and, considering the entry, should be good enough to win a race of this nature. Not easy to fault when barefoot, ILLUSTRE BLUE (4) is 25m better off and should not be condemned for his latest run. Wonderfully-engaged on the front row, ICONIC JET (9) will be fully fit by now and races barefoot for the occasion. GENTLE DREAM (13) incurs the penalty but is clearly on a decent run of form and will be no pushover if he turns.

    Summary: JANTARA DESBOIS (5) remains in very good form and has been prepared with this race in mind. She can follow up and win again. JAPONICA (3) has been performing well with this shoeing arrangement and can fight out the finish once more. JEZABEL MAHCATH (4) may have just needed her last run and is capable of much better this time around. IDÉAL DE BANNES (6) ran well over this track and trip last time out and should be competitive again in this line-up.

    Summary: KYRIELLE DES MONTS (13) has scope for more success in this speciality, having been a good winner on her first attempt in a mounted race. KASANGA (14) has been rock solid of late and should be right in the mix over this course and distance. It’s easy to overlook the last run from KISSME COOL D’EB (15) as this race clearly looks to be her target. KENNEN JIEL (9) is fitter now and looks capable of significant improvement.

    Summary: A very tricky race to find the winner. HULK DU SABLIER (11) won three starts back in this division and could strike again if in the same mood. JOLIE ARCTIC (3) tends to show her best form when barefoot and is unshod here, so could spring a surprise. ITALIENNE IDEF (4) has been consistent for most of the year and should be in the mix once again. JAMBEROO (6) was not disgraced at Montluçon – Néris-les-Bains over 3025m and could do even better this time.
