R1 LA CAPELLE [L-H]
C1 – PRIX DU CREDIT AGRICOLE NORD-EST – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 35,000
- IT’S MY DREAM – Pulled-up in a 2875m Enghien monte Gr.2 early last month. Has done nothing noteworthy under harness for some time and will have little to offer
- INDIEN DE FONTAINE – Imposed here in July before coming 5th of 18 in a 2825m Sable-sur-Sarthe Class E 3.5 weeks ago. Front pads fitted this time though and others preferred
- GASOLIN – Showed a marked return to form when 4th of 13 in a 2750m Cabourg Class D on 22 August. Handed an excellent draw and will be dangerous if he takes to the new profile
- FEUX VERTS – Surprise 3rd of 15 in a 2150m Enghien claimer on 9 August. Races barefoot this time, has never disappointed here when focused, and the draw will do his chances no disservice
- HUNT – Failed to deliver when 6th of 11 in a 2400m Amiens Class D on 30 July. Won his only start here and from the 5-spot will be no easy touch
- NICE PRESENT – Drops to a more reasonable level after finishing last of 9 in a 2875m Enghien Class B early last month. Is new to La Capelle but should nevertheless appreciate the new conditions. Place chance
- HERCULE DE LEAU – Tenacious winner of a 2150m Enghien Class D in late-July. Comes here fresh and, already proven over track and trip, should have a good hand to play
- GOUROU – Unlucky 5th of 15 in a 2850m Vincennes Class C on 25 August. Has form here and despite the wide draw still looks capable of winning this
- HORSY ROYAL – Last of 7, on return to competition, over 2700m in Mons 2 weeks ago. Has other priorities though and can be ruled out
- OSCAR VAN HALBEEK – 7th of 8 on re-entry over 2650m at Tongres a fortnight ago. Is barefoot this time and considering how well he performs in Paris, a first-5 place is well within his capacity
- FERVENTE – Comfortable winner of a 2150m Enghien Class E on 7 August. Races shod this time though and best to wait
- BEAT GENERATION – Starts for first time since finishing last but one in a 2850m Laval monte Class E last March. Not an obvious choice on paper but racing barefoot with Alexandre Abrivard reining, must not be overlooked
- MISTER DONALD – Very disappointing over recent months, latterly eliminated in a 2250m Enghien monte Class C a month ago, and is unlikely to create an upset
- DONIZETTI (SWE) – Quickly sanctioned in a 1609m Cagnes Gr.2 10 days ago. Has nothing going for him here and can be passed over
- IVANA DE BERTRANGE – Useful dual-discipline mare that held on to secure a 2875m Enghien monte Class D early last month. Is proven here but still represents no more than a minor place prospect
Summary: GOUROU (8) is forced to take on some good younger horses but he showed he was up to the task when imposing here in early-July and his Vincennes run stands him in good stead. GASOLIN (3) showed recently that he is close to his race and enjoys a better spot behind the car. Back to the provinces after having bitten off too much at Enghien last time, NICE PRESENT (6) should prove significantly more competitive this time. HERCULE DE LEAU (7) has hardly put a foot wrong this term and placed last time at the venue. Oddly below-par at Amiens, HUNT (5) has otherwise been in fine form and must not be underestimated.

C2 – PRIX GROUPE LANIE 02 – 2750m (a1m1/2) – Class B Race – Harness – EUR € 30,000 - MUST WIN DE REM – Disappointing since his June debut, most recently eliminated in a 2200m Agon-Coutainville Class F last week, and is not about to create an upset
- MUNCH CLUB – Decent type that ran 3rd of 7 in a 2700m Class D here in early-July. Is not a priority but always gives his best and can play a small role
- MONDIAL DE FAVEROL – Runner-up in 3 of last 5, latterly a 2150m Cagnes Class D on 4 August. Has form here and while unlikely to have his way, can nonetheless pick up a cheque
- MAIA JIEL – Capable filly but makes first appearance since being eliminated in a 2700m Vincennes Class C in early-May and is going to need the outing
- MORE LOVE DUCAMPUS – Improving colt that was just headed in a 2150m Enghien Class D on 27 July. Comes here fresh and is close to winning one for his new trainer. Chance
- MAKIAVEL DE BUSSET – Debuts at La Capelle after winning 2 straight at Amiens, latterly a 2400m Class E in late-July. Looks a serious colt in the making and is in with a realistic shout of completing the 3-timer
- MILKA LIO – Eliminated in a 2875m Enghien Class C on 10 August, but has otherwise been acquitting himself well in good company and must be taken seriously
- MAMBO THORIS – 2nd to MAVERICK ELLIS (9) at Aix before losing his action in a 2950m Vichy Class B last week. Is ideally engaged on the front row and on good behaviour will not be far off the mark
- MAVERICK ELLIS – Returns to racing left-handed after securing the hat-trick in a 2700m Aix Class D on 5 August. Incurs the penalty once more but still looks a threat to MAKIAVEL DE BUSSET (6)
- MANHATTAN JIEL – Hardy element making first start since running 5th of 8 in a 2200m Vincennes monte Gr.3 last February, and will not be given a hard race
- MARA BEST – Quality filly but has not been seen out since running 3rd of 10 in a 2700m Vincennes Gr.3 last March, and best to hold off
- MIRATISSIME – Has not raced since coming 3rd of 9 in a 2175m Vincennes monte Class A in early-June and will have other ambitions
Summary: As solid as a rock since his first competitive steps, MAKIAVEL DE BUSSET (6) is new to racing left-handed but looks a thorough professional and can secure a first hat-trick. MAVERICK ELLIS (9) may be 25m worse off he made it 3 in a row at Aix and should not disappoint. MORE LOVE DUCAMPUS (5) gave a reassuringly fine account at Enghien and, from the front row, will be no pushover if he stays in stride. Regularly in the thick of things, MILKA LIO (7) is not about to lose his maiden status but can nevertheless play a prominent role.

C3 – PRIX CHAMBRE D’AGRICULTURE DE L’AISNE – 1800m (a1m1/8) – Class G Amateur Drivers Race – Harness – EUR € 6,000 - HORACE – Out of the picture since returning to competition, latterly 9th of 13 in a 2625m amateurs Class H at Le Sap 9 days ago, and can be ruled out
- GODWIN DJOC – Last of 8 in a 2700m Vittel amateurs Class H a month ago. Returns to a track he appreciates but in current form is not easy to make a case
- GIORGIO DU VIVIER – Imposed at Divonne-les-Bains before running 3rd of 9 in a 2800m Compiegne amateurs Class H last Sunday, and from the 3-spot is easy to recommend for another podium place
- IPSON WIND – Placed among amateurs in Amiens before finishing 7th of 10 in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class F 3 months ago. Is barefoot this time though and will be no easy touch
- GRAPPILLEUR – Eliminated in a 2900m Arras amateurs Class G 9 days ago. Has merit though, races barefoot for the occasion, is nicely-placed on the front row, and should be taken seriously
- IPOCALYPSE LOVE – Unplaced in a 2475m Francheville Class H on 17 August. Races barefoot for first time since March 2022 but still not an obvious choice
- HENZO D’ARC – 7th of 10 when preparing for this in a 2150m Enghien amateurs Class F on 14 August. Is a category above most here and can make this his own
- GOPTION MONTAVAL – Last but one in a 2150m Enghien amateurs Class G late-July. Breaks wide here but ran 3rd last time under these conditions and cannot be ruled out
- HETRE DU JOUR – Won over course and distance in early-July before running 4th of 11 in a 2400m Amiens amateurs Class G 2 weeks later. Is plainly close to winning another and Geert De Waele can be confident of a good performance
- ISCO DE WATOU – Drops back down the category-ladder after running 3rd of 14 in a 2800m Strasbourg Class F last week. On back row, and shod for the occasion, but is very much at home here and can contest the finish
Summary: Barefoot this time, after having prepped at Enghien, HENZO D’ARC (7) looks a marginally better bet than the less favourably drawn, and shod, ISCO DE WATOU (10) who is nevertheless in great shape, and the useful HETRE DU JOUR (9) who has not pulled a great number either. Hard to knock in the amateur division, GIORGIO DU VIVIER (3) has been handed an excellent draw and left a very good impression here in July.

C4 – PRIX FRANCOIS CAILLE – 2750m (a1m1/2) – Class D Race – Mounted – EUR € 35,000 - NYMKE BRIGADOON – 7th of 8 behind STACCATO HL (3) in a 2250m Enghien Class E 3 weeks ago and can expect to remain friendless in the markets
- HONNEUR DU CEBE – Back under the saddle after finishing last of 9, a place behind HURLEVENT (6), in a 2150m Enghien harness Class E on 7 August, and can expect to have few takers
- STACCATO HL – Quality German sort that ran 5th of 8 in a 2250m Enghien Class E 3 weeks ago. Sports a new configuration and debuts at the venue with a reasonable chance of picking up some prizemoney
- IGOR DU PARC – Winner of all 3 starts this summer, latterly dominating a 2750m Pornichet Class E on 7 August, and will be hard to oppose
- FASCINANT – Eliminated in a Class E over course and distance last week and recent form does nothing to inspire confidence
- HURLEVENT – Back in his code of choice after finishing last but one in a 2150m Enghien harness Class E on 7 August. Has no references here but still looks good enough to finish in the mix
- MISTER INVICTUS – Good 2nd of 9 in a 2800m Langon monte Class E in late-July. Enjoys a fine entry here and is not without a chance of getting his nose in front
- INDICE DELADOU – Close 2nd of 9 in a 2875m Enghien Class D on 9 August. Is clearly at the top of his game, simply excels in the day’s configuration, and should logically give IGOR DU PARC (4) something to think about. Chance
Summary: A wonderful servant in this branch of the game, and unbeaten in 3 starts this season, IGOR DU PARC (4) comes to La Capelle on a 4-timer and has every chance of pulling it off. INDICE DELADOU (8) has not put a foot out of line under the saddle this term and his latest run augurs well for his prospects. MISTER INVICTUS (7) made up at Langon for his Caen blip and will be no soft touch if Florian Desmigneux keeps him focused.

C5 – GRAND PRIX DE LA FEDERATION REGIONALE DU NORD – 1800m (a1m1/8) – Gr2 Race – Harness – EUR € 120,000 - DEUS ZACK – Returns to France after coming 4th of 10 over a mile at Taranto in late-July. Goes barefoot with Gabriele Gelormini in the bike this time and is by no means out of the picture
- INEXESS BLEU – Remarkably consistent campaigner that has not raced since dominating the 2850m Gr.2 Prix Chambon P on 7 June, but oozes class and is very easy to fancy for the win
- JUSTIN BOLD – Put a trio of eliminations behind him when 3rd of 8 in a 2700m Grenade-sur-Garonne Gr.3 mid-August. Shod as he was when 7th in Prix d’Amerique and with application is unlikely to go home empty-handed
- FALCO KILLER GAR – Imposed at Enghien before coming 5th of 13 in a 1609m Argentan Gr.2 early last month. Takes on older horses again and from the 4-spot should figure prominently at the business end of the race
- HULYSSE DIGEO – Starts for first time at this level after running 5th of 17 in a 2850m Carentan Class A on 6 July. Has freshness on his side, will appreciate the long straight, and can pick up some prizemoney
- ELVIS DU VALLON – Disappointing in last 2, latterly 8th of 13 behind FALCO KILLER GAR (4) in a 1609m Argentan Gr.2 early last month. 3rd in 2022 edition, 2nd in 2023, but will have his work cut out this time
- INMAROSA – Classy campaigner making first appearance since winning the 3140m Gr.1 Harper-Hanover in Solvalla late-May. Shoes fitted for re-entry though and not a priority
- BANDERAS BI – Quality Italian import that ran 4th of 9 over 1640m in Montecatini mid-August. Barefoot this time, with new trainer in the bike, and is not about to let the side down
- DIAMOND TRUPPO – Has thrived since moving yards, latterly completing the hat-trick in a 2700m Vincennes Gr.3 10 days ago. Boasts good speed and can make a big impact if Theo Duvaldestin successfully navigates the start
- JANGO VICI – Eliminated in a 2700m Vincennes Gr.3 10 days ago. Shoes fitted this time and has no realistic chance
- HAPPY DANICA – Back in the discipline after being eliminated in a 2875m Enghien monte Gr.2 3 weeks ago, but is clearly out of her depth
- KAPAULA DE L’EPINE – 3rd of 5 finishers in a 2750m Cabourg monte Class A on 18 July and plainly has different objectives
Summary: Sent for a rest after winning a Vincennes Gr.2 in early-June, his 9th straight victory, and although unseen since, he will be barefoot and is going to take some beating. That being said, DIAMOND TRUPPO (9) is undefeated in 2 for his new trainer and, in spite of a 2nd line draw, will not go down without a fight. FALCO KILLER GAR (4) did not enjoy the best of runs at Argentan but is plainly in excellent shape and must be considered a player. The talented Euro-trotting BANDERAS BI (8) makes his first start for the Duvaldestin yard and despite a wide draw, still looks thoroughly up to the task.

C6 – PRIX DE L’AISNE NOUVELLE – 1800m (a1m1/8) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 30,000 - HAPPY ATOUT – Returns to a track he likes after finishing last but one in a 2150m Enghien Class E 3 weeks ago. Placed on lone start over course and distance but others still preferred
- GALON D’AMIRAL – Imposed over 2750m here before finishing 9th of 13 in a 3150m Abbeville Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Is not a priority but in this small field can make first 5
- IROISE QUESNOT – Raced better in a 2000m Divonne-les-Bains Class E a fortnight ago than her 5th of 10 would suggest. Handed a fine draw and Franck Nivard can be justifiably confident of picking up a cheque
- GOSSIP BOY – 7th of 15 in a 2150m Enghien claimer on 9 August. Has been out of sorts for some time and is not about to shake things up
- GREFFIERS FLINOIS – Has been struggling over recent weeks, latterly 7th of 10 behind IROISE QUESNOT (3) in a 2000m Divonne-les-Bains Class E a fortnight ago, and will have nothing to contribute
- ILIADE MENCOURT – 2nd over longer here before coming 5th of 13 in a 3150m Abbeville Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Has never disappointed when barefoot here and will be expected to play an active role. Chance
- HERMES DELUSS – 4th of 13 in a 2400m Class E at Beaumont-de-Lomagne 10 days ago, on first start for new handler, and in similar shape can wrap this up
- HORSERIS – 4th of 15 in a 2900m Class F at La Chartre-sur-le-Loir 2.5 weeks ago. Regularly in the thick of things here and has the wherewithal to contest the finish
- HIRO MAGIS – Last of 14 in a 2700m Graignes Class F on 23 August. Has been a write-off since late-spring and has no possible chance
Summary: A relatively open affair this but it is difficult to see HERMES DELUSS (7) being beaten if he replicates his Beaumont form. Although starting wide, HORSERIS (8) consistently gives his best and boasts solid references at La Capelle. ILIADE MENCOURT (6) ran close here in late-July and recent form bodes well for her prospects. IROISE QUESNOT (3) left a very good impression last time out and the draw will do her chances no harm.

C7 – PRIX DES HIPPODROMES FEDERATION DU NORD – 1800m (a1m1/8) – Class F Race – Harness – EUR € 21,000 - JOG DE JAVIE – Surprise 5th of 15 in a 3475m Agon-Coutainville claimer 12 days ago but a repeat seems most improbable
- INTEMPOREL – Back under harness after finishing last of 9 in a 3050m Class F at Montier-en-Der in late-August, but still looks out of his depth
- JACARTO DE HOUELLE – Useful type that was surprisingly eliminated in a 2750m Class F here in late-July. Has otherwise been acquitting himself competitively and can be brought back into the fold
- JAYZI DU BOURG – Ran 6th here before coming a flattering 4th of 10 in a 2775m Class F at Les Sables-d’Olonne on 22 August. Drawn well but is not about to shake things up
- JACO LE GRAND – Eliminated on re-entry before winning a 2725m Vittel Class F mid-August. Enjoys a terrific entry and Pierre-Yves Verva will be eager to oblige
- JADA MOKO – In the frame in 3 of last 4, most recently 2nd of 10 in a 2150m Cagnes amateurs Class G on 18 August. Alexandre Abrivard in the bike and will be expected to give JUDICIEUSE ZAILER (7) a run for her money
- JUDICIEUSE ZAILER – Won 2 mobile start events before coming 3rd of 13 in a 2950m Saint-Malo Class F on 12 August. Won over a mile in July and looks the pick of the field
- JAMAIQUE DE HOERDT – Ran 2nd over 2750m here prior to losing her action in a 2850m Vincennes amateurs Class F 2 weeks ago. Breaks wide but in this small field can get in on the action
- JOUR DES RACQUES – Ran 5th over longer here before coming 2nd of 13 in a 2000m Class F at Le Mont-Saint-Michel 2.5 weeks ago. In his element in a mobile start and despite the draw can still play a leading role
- INDIEN PASS – Makes the long trip north after running 4th of 10 in a 2925m Cagnes Class F on 23 July. Will be fresh but in this company will need to find more
Summary: Denied the hat-trick last time out, JUDICIEUSE ZAILER (7) returns to a mobile start and even though drawn wide, is still preferred to JADA MOKO (6) who has been knocking at the door all summer, and JOUR DES RACQUES (9) who would be better served by a front-line start. JACO LE GRAND (5) imposed going clockwise on just his 2nd start back and, reconfigured for the occasion, is well-placed to give this a good go.

C8 – PRIX DE LA COM DE COM THIERACHE DU CENTRE – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 24,000 - LEGACY JIEL – One-paced last of 9 in a 2700m Vincennes Class C on 25 August. Is patently better than that and can get back in the winners’ circle if Franck Ouvrie assures his charge’s initial strides
- KING GEORGES ELLIS – Eliminated in last 5 starts, most recently a 2875m Enghien Class E on 13 August, and others easier to trust
- KALAO TOURNIBOIS – Imposed here late-July before running 6th of 14, a place behind LEGACY JIEL (1), in a 2725m Cabourg Class E on 8 August. Is plainly in rude health but looks more a first-5 chance this time around
- LADY OF DURBUY – Made up for Enghien clinker when 2nd of 9 over 2300m in Mons early-August. Tends to go well for Pierre-Yves Verva and should not be far from the action
- KUZCO – Imposed at Divonne-les-Bains on 19 August and repeated over course and distance a week later. Unlikely to secure a 3rd straight success but, with form maintained, can challenge for a place in the frame
- L’HAVANA D’ELMA – By no means fortunate 5th of 14 in a 2875m Enghien Class D on 14 August. Caught the eye nevertheless and can make a big splash if kept out of trouble
- L’AMIRAL TURGOT – Sent off favourite but failed to deliver when 7th of 10 behind LAST DES BROUSSES (12) in a 2150m Enghien Class D a month back. Has had ample time to recalibrate and looks a serious proposition
- LENSOIS DU DOLLAR – Starts for first time since finishing last of 8 in a 2175m Vincennes Class C on 3 June. Shoes fitted and will have nothing to contribute
- LIFOU IRIS’EYES – Won a brace before finishing last of 10 in a 2150m Enghien Class D in early-July. Shoes on for comeback and can be passed over
- LOVI CADENCE – Returns to racing with 4 pads fitted after running 6th of 11 in a 2875m Enghien Class D on 13 August and the draw will do him no favours
- KEFIR COHIAIS – Last of 4 over 2840m in Mons last week. Has won twice at La Capelle but would be preferred barefoot
- LAST DES BROUSSES – Has turned a corner over recent weeks, most recently 4th of 12 in a 2750m Cabourg Class D 11 days ago. Hind shoes off this time and, in spite of the draw, must be afforded respect
- LIBERTY AVENUE – Useful on a good day but has not raced since being eliminated in a 2700m Vincennes Class D on 13 June and has no possible chance
- KIDAM DU METZ – Winner here in the spring but mostly disappointing since, latterly eliminated in a 2850m Laval Class F last week, and can be ruled out
- LADY DU CHENE – Eliminated, on first start since the spell, in a 2700m Vincennes Class C a fortnight ago. Shoes fitted and not a concern
Summary: Considerably better than his recent performance would suggest, LEGACY JIEL (1) will benefit from the mobile start and can return to triumphant ways. Winner of his only start at the venue, L’AMIRAL TURGOT (7) was denied the hat-trick at Enghien but Gabriele Gelormini will be determined to set the record straight. L’HAVANA D’ELMA (6) would have finished closer last time had she been afforded a run and Franck Nivard will also be redemption-hunting. KUZCO (5) returns on a 3-timer after pulling off quite the coup here last week and is barefoot this time.

C1 – PRIX DES ORCHIDEES – 1600m (a1m) – TURF – Claiming – Flat – EUR € 12,000
- NOCTURNE BLOU – Ran 3rd in a Claimer over 1200m at Pompadour on 31 August. Will have no problem with the distance but has to concede a lot of weight
- RAGE CHOPE – Ran 3rd in a Claimer over 1600m at Vichy on 13 August. On her breeding she should have no issue racing on heavy ground
- ROSE PRAIRIE – Ran 3rd in a Claimer over 1600m at Vichy on 30 July. Has finished 3rd in her last three races, all Claimers, and has the benefit of jumping from No 1 draw
- ALLEE MIA – Ran 2nd in a Claimer over 1600m at Vichy on 13 August. She had RAGE CHOPE (2) behind her and is expected to confirm that form
- ALINKA – Finished 7th in a Maiden over 1600m at Vittel on 12 August. She will need to make major improvement to feature.
- EARTHLIKE – Ran 7th in a Claimer over 1600m at Vichy on 13 August. She looks well held by others in this field based on her last run
- VLADIVIA – Finished 7th in a Claimer over 1600m at Vichy on 30 July. Has only raced twice so there could be some progress on the cards
Summary: ROSE PRAIRIE (3) has been ultra-consistent in Claiming races and that could well be rewarded in this event. NOCTURNE BLOU (1) carries top weight which is concern but she has earned that weight and cannot be ignored. ALLEE MIA (4) made huge strides in her Claimer debut last time and will benefit from a wet track. She does hold RAGE CHOPE (2) on their last run but this filly could run into the places.

C2 – PRIX DES BRUYERES – 1600m (a1m) – TURF – Newcomers Race – Flat – EUR € 21,000 - SENEQUE – Unraced 2yo colt by Zarak out of Gleneagles mare Tabera trained by Andre Fabre. Mare’s second foal, neither of which has raced, but the stable has been having a good run with their youngsters and this could be another
Trainer A. FABRE (S)
- MUSICAL ROSE – Unraced 2yo colt by Ghaiyyath out of Big Top Cat mare Lexi’s Love trained by Amy Murphy. This sire has had a decent enough start to his breeding career. The dam, however, did not race
- DEVIL’STORY – Unraced 2yo colt by Victor Ludorum out of Wootton Bassett mare Denitza trained by Alessandro Botti. Mare did contest a Listed race
- NORTHERN TERRITORY – Unraced 2yo colt by Australia out of Nayef mare Ghaim. He has a strong maternal line and will enjoy any soft conditions.
- MELKISEDEK – Unraced 2yo colt by Ectot out of Dubawi mare Pearly Goddess trained by Mikel Delzangles. Dam has produced three winners from six foals
- REAL NEWS – Unraced 2yo colt by New Bay out of Showcasing mare Lady Light trained by Christopher Head. He is related to Gr 1-placed Tasleet so should have good speed
- MATAURI QUEEN – Non partante
- ANAHEIM – Unraced 2yo filly by Zelzal out of Acclamation mare Ana Clamation trained by Mathieu Pitart. Dam has yet to produce a winner from four foals
- NAOS MOON – Unraced 2yo filly by Wonderful Moon out of Campanologist mare Wind Cries Mary trained by Dominique Chenu. Mare has yet to produce a winner from three earlier foals
- CHILL Y FLAMA – Unraced 2yo filly by Lope Y Fernandez out of Dark Angel mare Chill out trained by Henri-Alex Pantall. First foal of dam but Granddam did win a Gr 1 race in the UK
- ZELZANA – Unraced 2yo filly by Zelzal out of Frankel mare Bursa trained by Manon Scandella-Lacaille. Unraced dam has produced a winner from her four previous foals
Summary: This is a field of unraced two-year-olds but there are some well-bred youngsters among them. SENEQUE (1), whose dam won a Gr 3 in Germany, comes from an in-form yard and the engagement of Maxime Guyon is worth noting. Filly MATAURI QUEEN (7) is a decent mix of speed and stamina while stable companion REAL NEWS (6) is bred for speed. NORTHERN TERRITORY (4) was entered for a feature at Deauville so must be showing decent form at home.

- LAMENTO – Ran 3rd in a claimer over 2500m at Saint-Malo on 29 August. He is in good form and should be rewarded for his consistency
- THREE DREAMS – Finished 9th in a Handicap over 1600m at Vichy on 4 August. Ran well in a Claimer two runs back but that may not be good enough
- MAMA IMELDA – Ran 2nd in a Handicap over 1600m at Vichy on 4 August. She runs well for jockey Cristian Demuro so she has place prospects
- MUELHEIMER PERLE – Ran 6th in a Claimer over 1500m at Deauville on 16 August. She is drawn well and that gives her the chance to launch her attack at the right moment
- THAT’S LIFE – Finished 8th in a Claimer over 1500m at Deauville on 16 August. She is held by MUELHEIMER PERLE (6) on that run

- THUNDERHEART – Finished 7th in a Handicap over 1300m at Vittel on 12 August. Could be outclassed in this line-up over this distance
Summary: Although running well last time LAMENTO (3) is likely to benefit from the drop in distance and could have the edge over this field. SADAK (11) is well weighted and well drawn and could show further improvement after his decent last race. MUELHEIMER PERLE (6) needs to have her run timed to perfection and Maxime Guyon knows how to do just that. Veteran LARNO (8) grows another leg in the wet and he could pose a threat.
