R1 ENGHIEN [L-H]
C1 – PRIX ARMAND DE BELLAIGUE – 2875m (a2m) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 46,000
- JAGUAR DE ROZEVIC – Eliminated in a 2450m Caen Class F 3 weeks ago. Hind shoes off this time but in this category will have his work cut out
- IDEALE D’ARCEY – Eliminated in a 2800m Bernay Class F on 31 August. Has done nothing noteworthy for over a year and has no possible chance
- JACKSON HILL – Back under harness after running 8th of 9 in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class G on 11 September, but will still struggle to make his presence felt
- JAZZ JENILOU – Has started to come good again following a lengthy hiatus, most recently 2nd of 13 in a 2725m Lisieux Class F on 13 September, and with form maintained should not be underestimated
- JOB KERVILOU – Ran 2nd at Cabourg before coming 3rd of 13, a place behind JOLYDOLE (14), in a 2725m Pornichet Class F on 20 September. On front row again and has a decent chance of making the frame once more
- JOKE BLUE – Last but one behind JUSTIN DES MARAIS (13) in a 2800m Cholet Class F on 28 September. Paul Ploquin at the helm for Enghien bow but still no more than a minor place chance
- JERIMOW – 8th of 12 finishers in a 2825m amateurs Class G at Le Croise-Laroche a week ago. Disappointing on the whole and can be passed over
- JACOTTE DE TIZE – Failed to confirm Bernay performance when eliminated in a 2550m Class F at Beaumont-de-Lomagne last Saturday. Is new to Enghien but with application can get in on the action
- JOUR D’ERABLE – 3rd of 14 in a 2625m Cherbourg Class F on 18 August. Pleased on sole Enghien appearance and has a realistic chance of making first 5
- ICARE DU DOUET – Steps back up in category after winning a 2150m Mauquenchy amateurs Class G on 11 September. Is confirmed here but still appears to have more to find
- JIMIR DE GUEZ – Surprise winner of a 2625m Class F at Villeneuve-sur-Lot on 14 September, but is never far from faulting and others easier to trust
- JAG DE ROZEVIC – 5th of 12 before being eliminated in a 2700m Class G at Le Croise-Laroche on 8 September. Reliability not his strong suit but in present form is easy to like for a first-5 cheque
- JUSTIN DES MARAIS – Good 3rd of 16 in a 2800m Cholet Class F 10 days ago. Benefits from a terrific entry and David Thomain will be keen to make hay
- JOLYDOLE – In the frame in last 6 starts, latterly 2nd of 13 in a 2725m Pornichet Class F on 20 September. On back row again but in current condition is eminently capable of imposing
- JASMIN PRECIEUX – 9th of 10 in a 2825m Chartres Class F on 12 September. Is still being conditioned and will have nothing to contribute
- JAGUAR DU FAN – 5th of 13 behind JOLYDOLE (14) in a 2725m Pornichet Class F on 20 September. Thrives under these conditions and will be expected to turn the tables
Summary: Not once out of the frame in 4 Enghien starts, JAGUAR DU FAN (16) has won 2 of 3 over the trip, and even though starting with a 25m handicap, still looks the one to beat. Also incurring the penalty, JOLYDOLE (14) has been dynamic this year and will be reunited with Matthieu Abrivard. JOB KERVILOU (5) has twice gone close recently and from the front line will be no easy touch. JAZZ JENILOU (4) got back in the game at Lisieux and Anthony Barrier can be quietly confident. Solid last time out, and reconfigured for the occasion, JOUR D’ERABLE (9) debuts for his new trainer who has engaged the services of Eric Raffin.

C2 – PRIX DU PONT ROYAL – 2250m (a1m1/2) – Class E – Mounted – EUR € 35,000 - MARGELLO BELLO – Qualified in 1’19″7 under the saddle at Laval in late-May. Takes on some experienced sorts and is going to need the run
- MERCURY BOND – Qualified in 1’19″6 under the saddle at Grosbois last January and is not about to wow the crowds
- MILTON ELLIS – 5th of 8 finishers, a place behind MARSTON VICTORY (10), in a 2850m Laval Class E early last month, first time out. Is not about to create an upset but appears to have merit and should not be overlooked
- MAXIMUS ORADEL – Uninspiring 6th of 7 finishers behind MAJOR CONQUERANT (12) in a 2200m Vincennes Class D late last month, and will have nothing to offer
- MEGABUCKS – 5th of 7 finishers behind MAJOR CONQUERANT (12) in a 2200m Vincennes Class D late last month, and will need to pull his socks up
- MODELE GEMA – 5th of 6 finishers, a place behind MAJOR CONQUERANT (12), in a 2175m Vincennes Class D a month ago, and is unlikely to spring any surprises
- MANGO DU BOCAGE – Pleasant 3rd of 18 in a 2200m Caen harness Class G early last week. Takes on a better lot here but the engagement of Alexandre Abrivard will do his prospects no disservice
- MANAPANIS – Complicated colt that was eliminated on monte bow 12 days ago, losing his action in a 2200m Vincennes Class D, and is not an obvious choice
- MILLE SOUS GEKA – Makes first appearance since coming 3rd of 16 in a 2300m Bernay Class E in late-August, first time under the saddle, but a repeat seems unlikely
- MARSTON VICTORY – Ran 4th at Laval on monte debut before finishing last of 10 in a 2725m Pornichet Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Is by no means a priority but should not be entirely written off either
- MILORD DU LORAULT – Takes a step up in category and debuts in the discipline after running 2nd of 14 in a 2600m Class F at Châlons-en-Champagne on 21 September, but still has a lot more to find
- MAJOR CONQUERANT – 4th on debut before coming 3rd of 7 finishers in a 2200m Vincennes Class D late last month. In less-exalted company this time and should be good enough to contest the finish
- MY SIMON – In the frame in all 3 starts to date, latterly 2nd of 12 in a 2825m harness Class F at Le Croise-Laroche on 15 September, and makes his monte bow with a realistic chance of losing his maiden tag
- MODJO CHEF – 7th of 12 finishers in a 2850m Laval harness Class E mid-September. Top jockey in the irons and can be assured a competitive ride
- MYSTIC PARKER – Won under the saddle at Graignes before running 9th of 10 in a 2450m Caen harness Class E conditioner 2.5 weeks ago, and returns to the discipline with a potentially good hand to play
- MAXOU DIGEO – Imposed under harness mid-August before running 2nd of 7 finishers in a 2400m Chateaubriant Class F a month later. Enjoys a good entry and is unlikely to be far off the mark
Summary: On paper, this is anyone’s race, but it is very easy to like MY SIMON (13) who has shown significant promise in the other code. MAJOR CONQUERANT (12) has been learning the game in good order and looks competitive, as does MYSTIC PARKER (15) who opened his monte account in late-August. MODJO CHEF (14) makes his first appearance in the discipline but receives an Eric Raffin ride for the occasion.

C3 – PRIX LORD WILLIAMS – 2150m (a1m1/4) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 40,000 - MAFALDA – Disappointing before being eliminated in a 2700m Vincennes Class E on 19 September. Has merit though and Louis Baudron will be eager to put things right
- MISS DE LA FERME – Last but one behind MILA CAAL (14) in a 2700m Vincennes Class E on 19 September. Is plainly better than that though and cannot be ruled out
- MANON PIERJI – 3rd of 13 in a Class E over course and distance in late-September. Has made good progress lately and is an obvious candidate for a place in the frame
- MAVANA DU DIGEON – Showed improvement when 4th of 13, a place behind MANON PIERJI (3), in a Class E under these conditions 11 days ago. Enjoys a better draw this time and will have her supporters
- MAISY DU DONJON – Imposed at Laval on debut before easily confirming in a 2725m Pornichet Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Eric Raffin stays faithful and will be hot for the hat-trick
- MYSTIC DES FORGES – Failed to complete the hat-trick when 4th of 10 in a 2675m Class E at Le Mont-Saint-Michel a month ago. Put in a fine effort all the same but goes left-handed this time and will be no pushover
- MIDDLE EARTH – Winner of a 2850m Carentan Class F mid-August. Comes here fresh but steps up in category and looks more a first-5 chance this time
- MAYA DE MAHEY – 3rd at Cabourg before finishing last of 9 behind MILA CAAL (14) in a 2700m Vincennes Class E on 19 September. Has yet to deliver racing left-handed and is unlikely to start now
- MADY DU POMMEREUX – Starts for the first time since winning a 2300m Class H at Montier-en-Der in late-August. Has little going for her here and will have nothing to offer
- MILADY WIND – Last but one, on first start since April, in a 2150m Mauquenchy Class E on 11 September, and is going to need another outing
- MAGIC GIRL – 4th of 14, at 171-1, in a 2725m Cabourg Class E last week, however confirmation is unlikely
- MICHKA – Respectable, but beaten, 5th of 13 behind MANON PIERJI (3) in a Class E under these conditions 11 days ago. Forced to break from the rear and chances seem limited
- MADE OF DREAMS – Lost her maiden status on 13 September when easily winning a 2150m Vichy Class F. Mathieu Mottier in the bike this time but others still preferred
- MILA CAAL – 2nd at Rambouillet before coming 4th of 9 in a 2700m Vincennes Class E on 19 September. Not ideally-placed on 2nd row but is still good enough to challenge for a step on the podium
- MILKA DES THUYAS – Got off the mark in a 2825m Class F at Le Croise-Laroche mid-September. Faces a tougher challenge this time and the draw will not help matters
- MILADY DE MONTCEAU – Lost her action in a 2700m Vincennes Class E on 19 September. Handed a tough draw and can be passed over
Summary: Unbeaten in both starts to date, MAISY DU DONJON (5) has yet to be properly tested and is in with a realistic shout of keeping her perfect record intact. MYSTIC DES FORGES (6) has yet to be beaten going left-handed and her most recent run augurs well for her prospects. MANON PIERJI (3) has been knocking at the door and is unlikely to disappoint. MILA CAAL (14) has pulled an unattractive number but is plainly in shape and has the wherewithal to finish close.

C4 – PRIX DE LA PLACE BEAUVAU – 2875m (a2m) – Class E – Mounted – EUR € 41,000 - JAYA DU QUENNE – 2nd of 12, on first start for new trainer, in a 2800m Cholet Class G 10 days ago. Will have come on for the run, is barefoot this time, and with stride in check is unlikely to let the side down
- DEVIL OP – Eliminated on monte debut 2.5 weeks ago, losing his action in a 2600m Class H at Châlons-en-Champagne, and will have few friends
- MUD HILL – 4th of 9 on comeback over 1900m in Berlin-Mariendorf on 23 August. Benjamin Rochard in the irons and represents a respectable first-5 chance
- JUPITER CAPTAIN – Won 3 from 4 before running 6th of 18 in a 3100m Savenay Class H 10 days ago. Front pads fitted this time but still not a priority
- JUSQUIAME – Eliminated in last 4, latterly a 2825m Class F at Le Croise-Laroche early last week, and can be confidently disregarded
- JEDEO DES VAUX – In the frame in last 2 monte starts, most recently 3rd of 10 in a 2875m Meslay-du-Maine Class E a month back, but can expect to find the going tougher this time
- JOKER DE MARZY – 7th of 17 in a 2850m Laval Class E mid-September but still has more to find
- HERINA SOTTO – Last of 15 in a 2100m Vincennes harness Class B on 13 September. Has yet to deliver since coming to France and is not about to start now
- JACAR DE LA DIVES – Last of 12 in a 2700m Vincennes Class D on 1 September. Gets on well with Clement Frecelle, has been reconfigured for the occasion, and deserves to be taken seriously
- JIPEBE – 7th of 12 behind JAYA DU QUENNE (1) in a 2800m Cholet Class G 10 days ago. Shod to preference this time and is not incapable of picking up some prizemoney
- DUBLIN FI – 5th of 11 finishers in a 2725m Lisieux harness Class F on 24 September. Is confirmed in the discipline but still not a concern
- JAEGER MAN – Solid in 3 before being eliminated in a 2850m Laval harness Class E mid-September. Is new to the venue but with application can make a big impact
- PLAYBOY DE REVE – Has not been seen out since running 4th of 11 in a 2850m Vincennes harness Class C last March. Entrusted to an in-form jockey for re-entry though and can make his ridden debut a winning one
- JUPITER DU PERCHE – 3rd at La Capelle before coming 2nd of 9 in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class G on 11 September. Has imposed under these conditions and must be considered a player
- JOTT DU BOCAGE – Won 3 on the trot before finishing lacklustre 6th of 9 behind JUPITER DU PERCHE (14) in a 2850m Mauquenchy class G on 11 September. Considering the entry though, can turn the tables
Summary: PLAYBOY DE REVE (13) boasts an excellent record under harness, having won 26 of 35 starts. He has never failed to deliver at Enghien, will be partnered by Mathieu Mottier for his monte bow, and can get straight down to business. That being said, JAEGER MAN (12) is clearly in fine shape and with application can give him a run for his money. Well-engaged here, JOTT DU BOCAGE (15) has won 3 of his last 4 starts and can finish close. JUPITER DU PERCHE (14) has yet to disappoint in the day’s configuration and merits considerable respect.

C5 – PRIX DE LA TOUR MONTPARNASSE – 2150m (a1m1/4) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 35,000 - LE GRISBI – Eliminated in last 2, most recently a 2725m Pornichet Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Reverts to a previous formula, will be reined by Eric Raffin, but others still preferred
- LE VOILA SAUTONNE – Back to racing barefoot after finishing last of 9 in a 2725m Pornichet Class E on 20 September. Ideally-engaged, trainer in the bike this time, and from the 2-spot will have his chances
- LET’S GO VAL – 6th of 8 finishers when preparing for this in a 2450m Caen Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Sports 4 pads this time and the draw will only work to his advantage. Chance
- LUIGI PAULCA – Imposed at Pornichet before dominating affairs in a 2725m Lisieux Class E on 13 September. Ideally-positioned behind the car and has every chance of continuing his fruitful streak
- LOVE SUPREME – Quality element that was sanctioned early in a 2700m Class E at La Capelle on 22 September. Has bags of untapped potential and with application can play a leading role
- L’OPEN BAR – Just missed out on the double when 2nd of 14 in a 2650m Alencon Class E a month ago. In this company though will have too much to do
- LEADER DE L’AUMOY – Has done nothing but improve, most recently 3rd of 9 in a 2725m Cabourg Class E on 19 August. Has freshness on his side and can pick up a cheque if he stays in stride
- LOOKING BEST – 2nd of 12 in a 2450m Caen Class E 3 weeks ago. Races barefoot for the first time at Vincennes and in spite of a wide draw should not be ruled out
- L’ESPOIR BELRI – Won 3 of last 4, most recently a 2800m Cholet Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Takes on a better lot this time, has been handed a tricky number, but is still easy to like for a spot in the mix
- LATINO BELLO – Starts for the first time since finishing last of 9 in a 2875m Class E here in late-July. Shoes on and not a threat
- LEADER DE CHOISEL – Imposed at Vibraye before running 4th of 10, a place behind LET’S GO VAL (3), in a 2100m Vincennes Class E early last month. Not ideally-drawn but is plainly in form and hard to ignore
- L’ALPHA DE LAUNI – 8th of 12, on return to competition, in a 2700m Class E at La Capelle on 22 September. Shoes off this time but others still easier to back
- LORD MIL – Eliminated in a 3000m Nantes Class E on 26 September. Is very much the week link here and can be ignored
- LEAD ME ON – 3rd of 16 in a 2700m Class E at Le Croise-Laroche early last week. Shoes fitted this time though and best to wait
- LE BOIS JOSSELYN – Made up for August elimination when 3rd of 9 in a 2850m Laval Class E in mid-September. Alexandre Abrivard would have preferred a better draw but can still get in on the action
- LALBER – Got back in the winners’ circle early last month when victorious in a 2700m Graignes Class F. Paul Ploquin gets the nod this time but his charge still has more to find
Summary: Winner of 2 straight in the provinces, the nicely-positioned LUIGI PAULCA (4) makes his metropolitan debut with a realistic chance of securing the 3-timer. He will still be opposed by LE VOILA SAUTONNE (2) who will be barefoot following his Pornichet freshener, and the padded and in-form LET’S GO VAL (3) who will be reunited with David Thomain. Although somewhat complicated, and forced to break from the back line, LEADER DE CHOISEL (11) seldom disappoints when focused and can challenge for a place in the frame.

C6 – PRIX DES GOBELINS – 2875m (a2m) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 59,000 - IMPERATRICE HEDEN – Unremarkable 11th of 14 in a 2100m Vincennes amateurs Class F a month ago. Boasts solid references with Eric Raffin in the bike and finishing in the mix would be no surprise
- HIGH MONEY D’AVRAN – Returns to the professional ranks after running 6th of 16 in a 2725m Pornichet Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Has never delivered at Enghien but with Matthieu Abrivard reining will be afforded every chance
- IZARA DE VIETTE – Had produced a number of good efforts before being eliminated in a 2300m Marseille-Borely Class F on 11 September. Alexandre Abrivard in the wagon this time and will not be far off the mark if he keeps her focused
- HESPERANCE ELTE – 4th of 18 to IASELMA (5), at 54/1, in a 2950m Saint-Malo Class F 10 days ago. Confirmation, however, seems most unlikely
- IASELMA – Made it 2 in a row when dominating a 2950m Saint-Malo Class F 10 days ago. Has a lot going for her here and from the front line can impose
- ISOLEE DU BOUILLON – Imposed at Le Mans before losing her action in a 3150m Abbeville Class F on 17 August. Bruno Marie could not have asked for a better entry and will be hopeful Francois Lagadeuc can take advantage. Place chance
- HANA D’OCCAGNES – Lost her action in a 2850m Vincennes Class D 10 days ago. Useful on a good day but under these conditions will struggle to make her mark
- ILLUSION D’AMOUR – 5th at Vincennes before being quickly eliminated in a 2150m Class D here early last week. Starts on back row here though and is unlikely to shake things up
- FERVENTE – 5th of 14 in a 2850m Vincennes Class D 12 days ago. Opened her Enghien account in early-August and will be expected to play an active role
- FELICITA D’ECOUVES – 6th of 8 finishers in a 2150m Enghien Class D late last month. Has not produced the goods for some time and is unlikely to start now
- IDOLE DE MEAT – 3rd of 9 in a 2700m Vincennes Class D 2.5 weeks ago. Has been hard to fault lately and despite the handicap can make a big splash
- HISA DU MARGAS – 7th of 15 in a 2650m Alencon Class D last Sunday. Out of the picture in last 4 Enghien starts and will not be troubling the judge
Summary: Patently at the top of her game with a brace of consecutive victories, IASELMA (5) benefits from a super entry here, has been re-shod, and has a decent chance of pulling off her first hat-trick. IDOLE DE MEAT (11) may be 25m worse-off but she is close to opening her autumn account and looks the main danger. ISOLEE DU BOUILLON (6) blows hot and cold but is just 125 Euros from being penalised and Francois Lagadeuc will be justifiably bullish about her chances. FERVENTE (9) imposed here 2 months ago and Benoit Robin will be confident of securing a slice of the pie.

C7 – PRIX DE PASSY – 2150m (a1m1/4) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 40,000 - LA KIFFANCE PIYA – Made it 4 on the trot when easily winning a 2100m Vincennes Class D on 23 August. Has yet to show her limits and is in with a genuine shout of confirming
- LARA MAKS – Picked up 2.5 weeks ago where she left off 2 months earlier when dominating a 2450m Caen Class E on 20 September. Arguably better racing right-handed but could well run away with this if still on the boil
- LOVELY GODIVA – Won, with little room to spare, a 2700m Vincennes Class D on 19 September. Pleased in both Enghien starts and will be competitive for a place in the frame
- LADY DU CHENE – Left a very good impression when 2nd of 10 in a 2850m Vincennes Class D 12 days ago. Has taken well to the new configuration and will be no soft touch if she takes to the new profile
- LILY ROSE MYSTIC – Won 2 of last 3, latterly holding on to secure a 2700m Vincennes Class D on 5 September. Is game when focused and the draw will do her prospects no disservice
- LYRA POTERIE – In the frame in last 2, most recently 3rd of 14 in a 2800m Class B at Le Croise-Laroche a week ago. Is not a priority but is not to be ruled out either
- LOUBIANA DU BOURG – Imposed at Cabourg in August but eliminated in a 2100m Vincennes Class D on 12 September. Returns to racing shod and with application can pick up a first-5 cheque
- L’ETOILE D’URSIN – Disappointing since returning in July, most recently last of 10 behind LADY DU CHENE (4) in a 2100m Vincennes Class D on 12 September, and the draw only adds insult to injury
- LEGENDE SEVEN – Last of 10 on comeback behind LADY DU CHENE (4) in a 2850m Vincennes Class D late last month. Is still being conditioned and best to keep one’s powder dry
- LADY PRINCESS – 4th of 10 behind LADY DU CHENE (4) in a 2850m Vincennes Class D late last month. Has no particular liking for Enghien however and others easier to support
- LILYROSE WIND – Surprisingly eliminated in a 2700m Graignes Class B in late-August. Pleases here for the most part but is being aimed too high this time
Summary: An absolute dynamo that just keeps on progressing, LA KIFFANCE PIYA (1) comes to Enghien on a 5-timer, sports modified shoeing, and can make this her own. Taking her on is LARA MAKS (2) who thrashed the opposition on her first start since the spell, and LADY DU CHENE (4) who demonstrated great tenacity across town late last month. LOVELY GODIVA (3) opened her seasonal account recently and while unlikely to repeat can still play an important part.

C8 – PRIX DE LA PORTE DE SAINT-MANDE – 2875m (a2m) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 46,000 - KALIKA DU LEVANT – Useful mare that ran 3rd of 10 finishers in a 2050m Laval Class E 2 weeks ago. Tends to go well for Mathieu Mottier and is not about to disappoint
- KULTA – 6th of 12 behind KATINKA GEMA (12) in a 3000m Nantes Class E 12 days ago. Is not the biggest fan of Enghien but can still get a look in
- QUEEN OF THE NIGHT – Placed last time here but will need to improve on latest 7th of 11, a place behind RAGAZZA DU CHENE (4), in a 2100m Vincennes Class D 10 days ago
- RAGAZZA DU CHENE – 6th of 16 in a 2100m Vincennes Class D 10 days ago. Will be fully fit by now and can bring the fight to KATINKA GEMA (12)
- KOH LANTA – Serious element that was eliminated on re-entry in a 3125m Angers Class D a week ago. Goes barefoot this time and can make first 5
- KENNEDY STREET – 6th of 16, on first start for 2 months, in a 2725m Lisieux Class B a fortnight ago. Top driver at the helm this time and will be expected to finish close
- KELOWA STARDUST – Placed at Mauquenchy but eliminated in a 2800m Class B at Le Croise-Laroche last week and will have few takers
- KRONA VIKING – Made it 2 on the trot when securing a 2700m Vittel Class E in early-August. Has not been seen since and at this level will struggle to make her presence felt
- KYA D’ERABLE – Gave a fine account to come 5th of 16, a place in front of KATINKA GEMA (12), in a 2100m Vincennes Class E on 12 September. Debuts for new trainer but David Thomain keeps the drive and must not be underestimated
- KAMELIA DE JEAN – Ran 2nd at Saint-Malo prior to finishing 5th of 8 in a 2100m Vincennes Class D 3 weeks ago, and is unlikely to spice things up
- KABALVA – 9th of 12 finishers in a 3125m Angers Class D a week ago, and already looks out of her depth
- KATINKA GEMA – Good 2nd of 12 in a 3000m Nantes Class E 12 days ago. Always gives her best though and considering the stable’s form, can win this
Summary: KATINKA GEMA (12) has been knocking at the door for some time, returns to racing barefoot, and can finally open her 2025 account. She will still be taking on the useful RAGAZZA DU CHENE (4) who returns to racing with 4 pads, and KENNEDY STREET (6) who receives an Eric Raffin drive for the occasion. KYA D’ERABLE (9) seldom gets her nose in front these days, but seldom disappoints either, and must be regarded a decent place prospect.
