  1. POCA GEN – Unreliable and finished fifth in a handicap at La Testa-du-Buch over 2400m on 21 March. Capable of earning some money
  2. LE CONQUERANT – Very consistent and finished fourth in a handicap at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 2400m on 9 February. Should be a real threat to these rivals
  3. SPANISH LIGHT – Finished fourth in a handicap at Fontainebleau over 3000m on 31 March. Can get involved with the finish again
  4. SENORITO – Unplaced in a handicap at Saint-Cloud over 2400m on 15 March. Did not like the heavy track that day and can bounce back to beat these rivals
  5. XILOFONO – Has struggled of late and was unplaced in a handicap at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 2150m on 4 February. Capable of an upset on best form

  12. ROYAUMONT – Finished 8th in a handicap at La Testa-du-Buch over 2400m on 21 March. Capable of doing better and has claims in this line-up
  13. TEMPLE GATE – Not reliable and finished 8th in a handicap at Pau over 2400m on 20 February. Has a place chance in this line-up
  14. GOLDEN BLUSH – Unreliable but was third in a claimer at Marseille-Borely over 2600m on 3 April. Capable of earning some minor money
    Summary: Placed in a Listed race over this course and distance last year, SENORITO (4) was a disappointment at Saint-Cloud last month. He can bounce back to score for Christophe Soumillon. PRETTY STORM (9), the stable companion will be at peak fitness so should be a threat. ROYAUMONT (12), is fitted with first-time blinkers. and is capable of scoring at this level. LE CONQUERANT (2) represents the formidable Demuro/Rouget partnership and has a solid chance.

  19. HYPERCORE – Remains consistent and was runner-up in a class 2 Conditions race at Chantilly over 1900m on 8 March. Tougher task this time but might play a minor role
  20. MERANO – Knocking hard at the door and was runner-up in a class 2 Conditions race at Lyon-Parilly over 2400m on 15 March. Would not be a surprise winner
  21. TIPINSO – Very consistent and was runner-up in a Listed race at La Testa-du-Buch over 2000m on 21 March. Big chance in this line-up
  22. BEVAN – Holding form and finished third in a Listed race at La Testa-du-Buch over 2000m on 21 March. Might play a minor role at very best
  23. MANEKI – Remains in good shape and finished third in a Listed race at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 2150m on 22 February. Should fight out the finish
    Summary: A very competitive-looking race. TIPINSO (7) is very consistent and was runner-up in this division last time out. He is quite capable of going one better this time around. MERANO (6) remains in very good form and will not go down easily. HORIZON DORE (2) was not disgraced in Group 3 company and should contest the finish once again. MERANO (6) has hit the crossbar often of late and is also not out of it.

  27. HATANKA FAL – Not disgraced when fifth in a Listed race at Saint-Cloud over 2000m on 24 March. Capable of making the frame
  28. CRACKING GOOD TIME – Successful in a Conditions race at Bordeaux-Le Bouscat over 1900m on 10 March. Improving and can be a threat tackling stronger
  29. FAMILY SECRET – May have needed her only run of this year when 6th in a Listed race at Saint-Cloud over 1600m on 15 March. Fitter this time and can bounce back to score
  30. ROSENINSEL – Improving and was a runner-up in a class 2 Conditions race at this track over 2000m on 18 March Might earn some minor money
  31. VANTA – Has only been modest of late and finished 6th in a Listed race at Saint-Cloud over 2000m on 24 March. Needs to find a few lengths to win
  32. LAPOTHEOSE – Unbeaten in two starts, the latest in a class 2 Conditions race at this track over 2000m on 18 March. Can complete the hat-trick
  33. DAMIETTA – Victorious in a Conditions race at Marseille-Borely over 2000m on 18 March. Improving and can get involved with the finish
    Summary: A very open race. FAMILY SECRET (6) needed the last run and should show genuine improvement now stepped up in distance, so gets a narrow vote to score. CRACKING GOOD TIME (5) has shown ability in two starts and, although taking on tougher opposition this time, must be respected. LAPOTHEOSE (9) is unbeaten in two starts and has course experience, so would not be a surprise winner. DAMIETTA (10) is improving and is another quite capable of scoring

  36. AZURE DRAGON – Victorious in a Conditions race at Compiegne over 1600m on 27 March. Tackles stronger but is clearly not out of it
  37. SORBETTO – Not disgraced when fifth in a Listed race at Chantilly over 1800m on 8 March. Usually competitive and should be involved with the finish yet again

  41. FOCUS – Consistent last year and was runner-up in a Listed race at Deauville over 1600m on 23 August. Returns from as break but can win if fit enough
  42. RADIANT – Returned from a break and was a winner of a class 1 Conditions race at Bordeaux-Le Bouscat over 1600m on 27 March. Can contest the finish
  43. NAOMIS – Not reliable but finished third in a class 1 Conditions race at Bordeaux-Le Bouscat over 1600m on 27 March. Needs to do more to beat these rivals
  44. LAND OF LIBERTY – A winner of a handicap at Haydock over 1390m on 27 September. Returns from a break and could need thsi run
    Summary: A tricky race. It is best to forgive KHOVIKHOV (1) for his last performance on heavy ground and he can resume winning ways. SORBETTO (4) is consistent and can be involved in the finish once again. FOCUS (8) returns from a break but, being trained by André Fabre, should be fit enough to play a leading role and is a lively danger. COSMIC BOY (6) has done little wrong of late and is capable of shining at this level.

  50. MIRAGE BLOU – Not reliable and finished 7th in a Conditions race at Pornichet-La Baule over 3100m on 19 January. Needs to do more to beat these rivals
  51. JERRY LEE – Needed his last run when 12th in a handicap at this track over 2400m on 18 March. Fitter this time but others make more appeal
  52. BEAUTIFUL MESS – Has only been modest of late and finished 6th in a Conditions race at Tarbes over 2100m on 5 April. Needs to do more to score
  53. HONNEUR’S ORACLE – Battling to regain best form and was 13th in a handicap at La Teste-de-Buch over 1600m on 1 April. Needs to find a few lengths to score

  59. SISSI IMPERATRICE – Unreliable and finished 9th in a handicap at La Teste-de-Buch over 1600m on 1 April. Needs to do a lot more to beat these rivals
    Summary: A very open race. PUERTO MADERO (10) has held his form well and is capable of winning off his current handicap mark. MANNE (4) is in very good shape and has every chance of following up a win at this course earlier this month. POLYSPEED (12) showed some improvement last time out and could go one better. SORIANE (14) disappointed at La Teste-de-Buch last month but can bounce back to form and pose a threat to these rivals.

  62. HARIASA – Disappointing of late and finished 13th in a handicap at this course over 2400m on 6 April. Seems to prefer the PSF these days and others make more appeal
  63. MARA WOOD – Not reliable and finished 7th in a handicap at this track over 2400m on 6 April. Is quite capable of contesting the finish
  64. RAYO DE LUZ – In good shape and was runner-up in a handicap at Le Lion-d Angers over 2000m on 5 April. Has shown improvement and can contest the finish
  65. SNATCHER – Only moderate of late and finished 9th in a handicap at Moulins over 2400m on 9 April. Needs to find a few lengths to score
  66. DAZZLE AT DAWN – Has struggled this year and was 12th in a handicap at this course over 2400m on 6 April. Needs to do more to beat these rivals
  67. COCOA – Showed some improvement when 3rd at Auch over 2650m on 12 April. Tougher task this time and others are preferred
  68. MOON OF THE NIGHT – Off form and finished 12th in a Conditions race at Pau over 2000m on 23 January. Has yet to be victorious and others are preferred
  69. AS A CHARM – Finished 5th at Auch over 2000m on 12 April. Inconsistent and needs to find a few lengths to score
  70. LA PORTUGAISE – Did not show her best when 9th in a handicap at Bordeaux-Le Bouscat over 1400m on 11 April. Capable of an upset on best form
  71. ULTRASOUND – Struggled to find best form and was 9th in a handicap at this track over 2400m on 6 April. Needs major improvement to win
  72. MOREA – Finished 7th in a handicap at La Teste-de-Buch over 1900m on 21 March. Needs to do a bit more to beat these rivals
  73. TOP GLORY – Unreliable and finished 12th in a handicap at La Teste-de-Buch over 1600m on 1 April. Others make more appeal
  74. RISKY LIGHT – Only modest of late and finished 9th in a handicap at Moulins over 2400m on 9 April. Needs major improvement to win
    Summary: A tricky race. JUST FOR GAB’S (1) is on a long losing streak but is better than what was shown last time out and can win a race of this nature. RAYO DE LUZ (5) showed some improvement at Le Lion-d’Angers and could be ready for a success. BOJANGLES (2) carries a penalty for a solid victory at La Teste-de-Buch and must be respected in this line-up. MARA WOOD (4) is unreliable but could make the frame.

  78. MONEER – Has not done much wrong so far and was third in a Group 1 at Chantilly over 2000m on 15 June. Should fight out the finish yet again
  79. WALA’A – Has not been reliable but was runner-up in a Group 1 at this course over 2200m on 27 October. Can play a minor role at best
    Summary: A small field but a cracking race. HAJMAH (1) returns from a break but has already won at the highest level on two occasions, so should take plenty of beating in this Group 2. MONEER (4) is clearly talented and can fight for top honours once again, but his fitness will have to be taken on trust after a long break. GENEVA (2) is still improving and should be right there at the finish. WALA’A (5) may need to improve to beat those rivals but might make the frame.

  82. FERRARI FEVER – Remains in good shape and finished fourth in a Class 3 Conditions race at Chantilly over 1800m on 16 March. Should be a threat yet again
  83. X RAYS – Only modest form and was 7th at Madrid over 1400mj on 23 November. Needs to find a few lengths to score
  84. CAMBRONNE – Holding form and finished fourth in a Class 1 Conditions race at La Teste-de-Buch over 1400m on 21 March. can contest the finish once again
  85. ANTHORUS – Disappointing recent form and was 8th in a handicap at Saint-Cloud over 1600m on 24 March. Capable of doing better and others are preferred
  86. TASHANKA – Has improved of late and was victorious in a handicap at Marseille-Vivaux over 1500m on 22 March. Clearly not out of it
  87. SIR TOMMY CEN – in good shape and finished third in a Class 1 Conditions race at La Teste-de-Buch over 1400m on 21 March. Should fight out the finish
    Summary: A very competitive lucky last race. SIR TOMMY CEN (8) is in good heart and his third-place finish at La Teste-de-Buch last month could prove to be the best form on offer. CAMBRONNE (5) was not far behind that rival that day and can be very competitive once again. FERRARI FEVER (3) is in good form and will be a threat to these rivals. ANTHORUS (6) is capable of doing better and is another that must be considered a possible winner.

C1 – PX FEDERATION FRANCAISE DE RECONVERSION – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class G Amateur Drivers – Harness – EUR € 6,000

  1. JAVA DES TIGARDS – Has been particularly disappointing so far this year and can be confidently dismissed
  2. JUST LIKE A DREAM – Looked very ordinary on re-entry in an amateurs Class G here 2 weeks ago. Enjoys a good draw but others still preferred
  3. KINGSTON DU MINON – Appears to have found his niche in the amateur category. Showed his form after being eliminated in a Saint-Omer amateurs Class G a week back and his trainer-driver will be mindful to keep his charge focused
  4. INDY DE MUZE – Moderate type starting for first time since November. Races shod for the occasion and can be passed over
  5. ISIS TUILERIE – Pleasant 5th in a 2625m Saint-Omer Class F last Sunday, her first start since September. Stays shod, but will have come on for the run, and should not be entirely discounted
  6. KERGOMAR SIBEY – Gave a good account on amateur debut at Amiens last weekend. Starts in front, has been entrusted to a capable amateur, and can contest a place in the picture
  7. KOACH BOND – Hardy element with an enviable strike rate. Has been off the track for some time but is plainly in competition-mode and can get straight down to business
  8. ITOU DES GENIEVRES – Has failed to make any impact since last summer and has no realistic chance
  9. JAZIE PONT VAUTIER – Started to show improvement late last season before being put away for the winter. Is competitively-shod for comeback and will be worth retaining
  10. JAZZ OPERA – Confirmed his Mons success when winning a Saint-Omer amateurs Class G a week ago. Was thoroughly in charge that day and the hat-trick is not out of the question
  11. KALYNKA LANDING – Takes to the amateur category after having lost her way in the professional ranks. Is confirmed at La Capelle and picking up a cheque is well within her capability
    Summary: New to the amateur division, and unraced since last August, KOACH BOND (7) will be barefoot for his first start back and can win this if he turns. KINGSTON DU MINON (3) has taken well to the category and Christian Lejeune will be keen to make amends for his Saint-Omer elimination. JAZZ OPERA (10) won that day, after having imposed in Mons, and will be no soft touch. KERGOMAR SIBEY (6) is better than his latest results would imply, and the engagement of Sébastien Laboutique will do his prospects no disservice.

    C2 – PRIX DE VOULPAIX – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class F Amateur Riders – Harness – EUR € 19,000
  12. KADOR DELO – Good sort with excellent monte credentials. Is here for reasons of conditioning and will have few takers
  13. KALICINE – Faces first objective of the year after a necessary freshener here 2 weeks ago. Benefits from a good entry and Martin Goetz will be eager to capitalise on the opportunity
  14. KAABA RINGEAT – Should not be condemned for recent Caen run in which she endured a tough trip. Sports shoes this time and is ideally-placed to make a big impact
  15. KIROYAL DU VINOIS – Fine servant that should be at peak fitness after 3 return runs. Caught the eye at Chartres recently and from the 4 slot can return to successful ways
  16. KYRIELLE JOMUNA – Ran 2nd at Enghien before winning an amateurs Class G here a fortnight ago. Is competitively-shod this time and although in better company, must still be afforded respect
  17. KITALIANO ALGREF – Won 2 in a row at Le Croise-Laroche before failing to fire in a Mauquenchy Class D mid-March. Starts in front though and can play a role
  18. KADEAU DE L’AVRE – Honest trotter that defied his odds in a 2150m Mauquenchy Class E early this month when 4th of 15. Form is clearly on the way upwards and despite the draw can still make the frame
  19. KEZIO JOSSELYN – Completely lost his way after winning twice last autumn. Has been reconfigured for re-entry but still not an obvious choice
  20. KIRSCH VRIE – Modest sort that would have better prospects at a much lower level and can be confidently disregarded
  21. KERIA FLEURY – Starts for the first time since returning from an unproductive winter and will have nothing to offer
  22. KINO DE LAUMIERE – Unremarkable element that has done nothing to write home about this year and is not about to influence the outcome
    Summary: KIROYAL DU VINOIS (4) has improved for every run this term, enjoys a terrific entry, has been handed the ideal draw, and can wrap this up. Leo Guenet will still be keeping a watchful eye on the talented KAABA RINGEAT (3) who will be shod as she was when victorious at Le Croise-Laroche in early-March, and the less-favourably-drawn KADEAU DE L’AVRE (7) who put on a good show at Mauquenchy 2.5 weeks ago. Last time in the day’s configuration, KALICINE (2) ran away with a Caen Class E.

  24. NESMILE RENKA – Qualified correctly in Victoria Park late last month, but faces a tough test first time out
  25. NEWTON DES FORGES – Well-bred colt making debut for his able handler. Will have considerable work behind him and can play a leading role
  26. NAPA VALLEY ZEN – Confirmed her modest qualification with a modest debut earlier this month and will have nothing to contribute
  27. NIRVANA DU CHENE – 5th of 9 finishers on debut in a 2000m Rambouillet Class F 3 weeks ago. Will have progressed for the run and should logically finish closer this time
  28. NYMPHE DE BAIS – Finished down the field on comeback in a 2750m Ecommoy Class F a fortnight ago. Gabriele Gelormini in the bike this time but others still easier to back
  29. NEMO D’ARNHEM – Reassured somewhat at Chartres mid-March but was subsequently disqualified at Rambouillet 3 weeks ago and can be dismissed
  30. NEBULO – Makes first appearance for new stable after having shown significant promise at Alencon last autumn. Is competitively-shod this time and looks the one to beat
  31. NOURKIS – Has yet to set the world alight but has acquitted himself respectably in both starts to date. Is not a priority, but still cannot be ruled out
  32. NO DOUBT DU SAPTEL – Acquitted himself well to come 2nd in a Reims Class F a fortnight back. Changes direction here but has the look of quality about him and can again contest the finish

Given time to grow into himself, he makes his first appearance for Laurent-Claude Abrivard and, with hind pads fitted, can get off the mark. The nicely-related NEWTON DES FORGES (3) will be expected to live up to his pedigree and looks the main danger. NO DOUBT DU SAPTEL (10) looked thoroughly professional at Reims recently and will have come on for the race. NIRVANA DU CHENE (5) was not over-extended at Rambouillet late last month and should be more at home on a hard surface.

    Summary: After having outclassed the opposition at Chartres early last month, MISS MELODY PEEL (11) went on to confirm a fortnight later at Mauquenchy. She benefits from a fine entry here and, competitively-shod for the first time, will not be easy to oppose. That said, MANGUE (8) is like a horse reborn and steps up in class with a good hand to play.   54. MAKE FOR JUMP – Gave a respectable account on re-entry at Le Croise-Laroche on 23 March. Will have progressed for the run and looks principal threat to MOJITO CENE (10)
  55. MOJITO CENE – Hardy element that has come into himself over recent weeks. Has bags of untapped potential and winning this would be no surprise
  56. MUSTANG DE REUX – Has imposed just the once but has taken his game up a notch recently and in similar form can finish closer this time
  57. MALO RENKA – Takes first steps on French territory after having flown up at home in The Netherlands on 3 April. Has never raced beyond 2100m but enjoys a terrific entry and with Gabriele Gelormini reining will be no easy touch
  58. MASSILIO BLOND – Heavily-campaigned gelding with better prospects in the claiming division and can be confidently disregarded
    Summary: MOJITO CENE (10) has never shown much liking for La Capelle but he has been transformed since starting to race barefoot and, with Alexandre Abrivard in the bike, looks eminently capable of winning a race of this nature. He will still want to be wary of MAKE FOR JUMP (9) who will have come on for his return run, and the well-engaged MALO RENKA (12) who got off the mark in Victoria Park earlier in the month. MUSTANG DE REUX (11) held his own in Paris recently and debuts at the venue with a good hand to play.
