  1. JIZOU D’ETANG – Successful in Class D at Enghien over 2150m on 6 March. Has shown improvement and can double up if in the same mood

  9. IALTO D’HERTALS – A runner-up four times in a row. the latest in a Group 3 at Marseille-Borély over 3000m on 25 March. Can go one place better
  10. GRINDELWALD – Not reliable and was 7th in a Group 3 at Vincennes over 2850m on 4 April. Might play a minor role at very best
  11. HORATIUS D’ELA – Unreliable and finished 12th in a Group 3 at Lyon-Parilly over 2825m on 8 April. Capable of doing better but others make more appeal
  12. JINGLE DU PONT – In good shape and was barefoot and third in class A at Vincennes over 2100m on 7 February. Has claims in this line-up
  13. HANNIBAL TUILERIE – Disqualified in three of last five starts, incluidng last time out at Vincennes over 2700m on 4 April. Has disqualification issues and is best watched for now
  14. HORCHESTRO – Has struggled of late and finished 14th in a Group 3 at Marseille-Borély over 3000m on 25 March. Capable of better but others are preferred
  15. IDEAL LIGNERIES – A runner-up twice in a row, including last time out in a Group 2 at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 1609m on 23 August. Likely to need this run returning from a break
  16. INA DU RIB – Unreliable and finished 10th in a Group 1 mounted race race at Vincennes over 2175m on 1 February. Others make more appeal
    Summary: A good, solid race to kick off this card. JIZOU D’ETANG (1) has shown improvement of late and could follow up on that victory at Enghien. JOYCE DELTO (5) was not disgraced in a Group 3 last time out and is barefoot and capable of doing even better this time around. JENTIL DIESCHOOT (2) is probably best judged on his win last month and must be respected for that. JINGLE DU PONT (12) remains in good form and is clearly not out of it. IALTO D’HERTALS (9) continues knocking at the door and has claims as well.

  24. KIMMAJO – Consistent and finished 4th in a Class F at Enghien over 2875m on 24 March. Tougher task but might play a minor role
  25. IKACOU DES CINTY – Unreliable and finished 10th in a Class H at Angoulême over 2750m on 5 October. Returns from a break and could need this run
  26. GOOD COMPUTER – Off form and finished 11th in a Class F at Ecommoy over 2750m on 6 April. Remains barefoot and others are preferred
  27. KAKO GASCOGNE – Finished 14th in a Class G at Cordemais over 2825m on 15 April. Unreliable and needs to find a few lengths to score

  31. IOHANNA THIEBEN – Only modest of late and finished 8th in a Class E at Vincennes 2850m on 31 March. More is needed to beat these rivals
  32. ICONE PLANCHETTE – Only modest of late and finished 9th in a Class E at Angers over 2350m on 1 April. Capable of making the frame on best form
    Summary: INSERT BOY (13) has struck a real purple patch of form with four good victories. He has every chance of stretching that to five in a row. IVAN DE L’ERDRE (14) finished third behind that rival at Cholet and is barefoot, hoping to do better this time. JACADI BROUETS (12) seems better than his last run at Vincennes and could be competitive. ICONE PLANCHETTE (16) has only been modest of late but could get into the frame if at her best.

  41. NYX DE VAL – Has done little wrong so far and was runner-up in class D at Vincennes over 2200m on 11 February. Victorious before that and has claims
  42. NELSON DE CHANLECY – Victorious in Class D at Angers over 2350m on 15 January. Unbeaten in two starts and must be respected for that. Place chance
    Summary: A competitive-looking race. NOLIO DU BARBEY (8) is improving and only found one better on the day last time out at Caen, and has every chance of scoring. NARCO CONNECTION (5) lost in the boardroom last time out and could bounce back with another victory. NIEHKU (4) produced a decent comeback performance, so fitter this time and clearly not out of it. NYX DE VAL (9) has been good so far and would not be a surprise winner.

  53. MALICIA BELLA – Unbeaten in four starts, the latest in Class C at Châtelaillon-La Rochelle over 2625m on 9 November. Returns from a break but can score if fit enough
  54. MAESTRO – Returned from a break and was 13th in class D at Vire over 2800m on 18 March. Capable of doing better but others make more appeal
    Summary: An interesting race. MALICIA BELLA (11) was unbeaten in four starts last year but is returning from a break and will have her fitness tested by some talented rivals. She is the narrow choice, though. MANFREDO (4) is fit and remains in very good form, so should be right there at the finish. MY DREAM (9) is unreliable but can be competitive over this track and trip. MAGIC CASH (6) returns from a break but is talented and can make the frame if fit enough.

    Summary: LOKY D’ANCLEMAX (9) fluffed his lines with a fault at Tours earlier this month but will be racing without shoes this time and is capable of scoring. LEADER (16) has won his last two races and is fit and ready for the treble. LAUTREC CARISAIE (1) is unreliable but did run well at Pochaterau last month and must be respected for that performance. LOEM DU TAY (6) is unreliable but is capable of shining when in the right mood.

    Summary: LEZZO FIGHTER (12) has struck form with some solid wins lately and keeps that shoeing, so can complete a hat-trick. LOVING DREAM (10) let his supporters down at Lyon-Parilly but had some nice wins before that and is a real threat. LOVE GLYCINES (14) showed some improvement at Laval, keeps that shoeing, and could contest the finish. LEONARDO DU DERBY (5) is not as reliable as some of those rivals but also has some claims to victory.

    Summary: The list of possible winners of this race is a lengthy one. At the top of it is ILLENC DES BOSC (18), who has targeted this race and is barefoot and ready to strike. IT’S MY DREAM (15) has won the last two mounted races he has contested and will not go down easily. HOLD UP DES VENTES (11) showed some improvement at Enghien and can be competitive. IGO CLEA (17) put up a good performance at Vincennes and is one more to consider.
