C1 – PRIX PMU “LE VILLAGEOIS” A MONTMACQ (PRIX KARAKONTIE) – 1400m (a7f) – TURF – Newcomers – Flat – EUR € 27,400

  1. ZAKKAN – Dam only raced three times before going to stud and this well bred son of Siyouni is expected to be ready on debut. Big chance
  2. MAG MAS – Dam was unraced and this son of Mehmas could be ready to produce a pleasing first up run. Include in the play
  3. CODREA – Dam was unraced and this colt is related to Annabel’s Ghost who won four times from 2600m – 3100m. He will need further
  4. CARIB SONG – Dam won once over 1000m and he is the first foal to run make a racecourse appearance. Will know his task on debut
  5. PALAIS BYZANTIN – Dam won once over 1800m in Germany and this colt is related to Piyango who had multiple placings to his name. Comes from a good yard and can run well
  6. UN VRAI VENUSIEN – Dam was unraced and this son of Mehmas is a clear second elect from the yard. Could earn a cheque at best
  7. MONT ROCHELLE – Dam won three times over 1800m/1900m and this colt is likely looking for further. Could need the outing on debut
  8. FLYING FLASH – Dam was a one time winner over 1400m and this colt make very little appeal on debut. One to pass by
    Summary: ZAKKAN (1) comes from a family that is well known to the connections and this colt makes the most appeal on debut. He could land the spoils. PALAIS BYZANTIN (5) isn’t one to take lightly and he should be competitive at the first time out asking. MAG MAS (2) and CARIB SONG (4) are other newcomers who should be alert on debut and can produce encouraging runs. Monitor the market carefully with them.

  10. VIETTEOFCOURSES – Dam remained a maiden after several starts and this daughter of Acclamation will most likely need the run. One to pass by
  11. PEINTRESSE – Dam was unraced and this filly by Lucky Vega is worth keeping a close eye on. Trainer knows how to get them ready
  12. AMUSINGLY – Dam won three times over 1200m which including two wins in Listed events. Bred to be useful and can make her presence felt strongly
  13. NO TRACE – Dam won three races over 1400m and this daughter of Kingman is the first foal. She hails from a yard who can get them ready on debut
  14. SHALOM – Dam was unraced and this filly could likely need the experience first up. Trainer isn’t known for debut winners
  15. HERHONOUR – Dam won once over 1450m and this filly makes very little appeal on debut. Easy to look elsewhere
  16. OPERA DIVA – Dam was unraced and this filly is by the superstar Baaeed. She is one to monitor carefully in the market
  17. GOLDEN SAVIOR – Dam was a maiden and there’s no siblings to compare her to. Yard can get ready first up and she could have a say in the finish
  18. AMETIS CHOPE – Dam won five races from 1400m – 1600m and this filly will likely come into her own with a bit of racing experience under her belt. Others preferred
    Summary: AMUSINGLY (4) is a nicely bred filly who could be ready to strike on debut. She represents a trainer is great form and should know the business. NO TRACE (5) is a filly by Kingman who comes from a yard that know how to tune them up on debut and she could provide the biggest threat. OPERA DIVA (8) is by a sire who was a terrific race horse and it will be interesting to see how his progeny perform. GOLDEN SAVIOR (9) warrants respect and can produce a fair effort first up.

  23. DON’T SHUT ME DOWN – Finished 7th over 2500m at Saint-Cloud in a Class 3 claimer on the 15th of May 2026. Should be in the money at a decent price
  24. CRISTABEL – Finished 5th over 3000m at Dieppe in a Class 2 conditional contest on the 16th of May 2026. Lightly raced and can improve
  25. A BEAUREGARD – Poor run in 16th over 3000m at Strasbourg in a Class 2 divided handicap on the 27th of May 2026. Hard to fancy
  26. SAPRISTI – Courageous win over 2500m at Parislongchamp in a Class 3 course qualifier on the 28th of May 2026. Stays well and can go close
  27. HAVIASSOR – Finished 9th over 2000m at Saint-Cloud in a Class 2 divided handicap on the 2nd of June 2026. Back up in trip and should be very competitive
  28. DEMPY – Fair effort in 7th spot over 2400m at Parislongchamp in a Class 2 divided handicap on the 7th of May 2026. Should be bang there at the finish
  29. CHELSEA DU NINIAN – Held in 5th spot over 2650m at Chateaubriant in a Class 2 conditional on the 24th of May 2026. Others inspire more confidence
  30. RECOLETTY – Not disgraced in 3rd spot over 2400m at Compiegne in a Class 3 handicap on the 9th of May 2026. Can run into the money
  31. STANDING STONE – Winner over 2500m at Saint-Cloud in a Class 3 divided handicap on the 24th of April 2026. Needs to step up here
  32. SHEEMA’S ROSE – Moderate display in 6th over 3000m at Dieppe in a Class 2 conditional on the 16th of May 2026. Easy to look elsewhere
    Summary: SAPRISTI (8) returned to best form with a tenacious victory and he can step forward on that performance to play a leading role here. He has proven to stay well and the has the benefit of a handy galloping weight. CHESS (1) is holding excellent form this year and ticks a lot of boxes. He is well established in these ranks and should put up a big effort. DON’T SHUT ME DOWN (5) hasn’t been far off the action in recent outings and with his rating sliding down again, he can pop up at an each way price. HAVIASSOR (9) is a lot better than his last run and when judged on prior form, he should have a decent chance of challenging this lot for the win. DEMPY (10) has not won a race since 2024 so is low on confidence but has the form to earn over this type of trip.

  38. SIGHISH – Pleasing run in 3rd spot over 1100m at Dieppe in a maiden on the 6th of June 2026. Will be in the firing line
  39. RADMILLA – Finished 7th over 1800m at Parislongchamp in a maiden on the 28th of May 2026. Can make some improvement
  40. SOCIETY PRINCESSE – No show in 8th over 1600m at Saint-Cloud in a maiden on the 17th of April 2026. Others inspire more confidence
  41. MODELLING – Failed to feature in 14th over 1400m at Saint-Cloud in a maiden on the 2nd of June 2026. Can earn on debut effort
  42. BELLE HARMONIE – Runner up over 1400m at Saint-Cloud in a maiden on the 2nd of June 2026. Has more to offer and will run a huge race
  43. CASPIENNE – Weak finish in 8th over 1900m at Deauville in a maiden on the 2nd of December 2025. Returns off a lengthy break and may need it
    Summary: LIARMA (2) represents a powerful team and with Mikael Barzalona now taking over in the irons, she could go one better on her excellent debut run. BELLE HARMONIE (10) produced a cracking effort first up and would have learnt plenty with that experience under the belt. She will go close. WILD PACIFIC (3) wasn’t far behind the second choice last time out and there shouldn’t be a lot to choose between the two of them once again. SIGHISH (6) now gets the services of Maxime Guyon which catches the eye and this filly could be involved in the outcome.

    Summary: PHINEAS (7) comes into the race off a solid victory and he certainly looks to have the right accolades in claiming this Listed contest. HORIZON DORE (11) was unlucky last time when just beaten into second and knows what it takes to win a Listed race. He can give the top elect a run for his money here. UTHRED (3) is a honest sort and always finds himself involved in the equation. He will be right there once again. SAIDDI EL FAL (5) completes the mix.

  62. TAMAR – This filly is out of the mare All stars who raced 6 times but did not find success. Follow the betting
  63. MARKEZA – This filly is out of the unraced mare Marketeer. Although not much on pedigree but from a strong yard who gets them well tuned up on debut
    Summary: MARKEZA (13) makes her debut and although being out of an unraced mare, She represents a strong yard that has them well revved up for their first appearance. SANGOMAR (7) just found better but has every chance in going one more here. This could be the field she breaks the maiden shackles off her hooves. VAPOA (10) made the natural improvement into second and goes over the 1800m again where she can take full advantage if the top two fluff their lines. SAGARMATHA (6) heads the rest.

    Summary: MADAMA (6) delivered a cracking effort last time out when finishing second and now gets the services off in-form jockey Maxime Guyon who can certainly pilot him into the winners box. MORO (2) best to put a line through his last run when taking on a strong Class 2 Handicap and meets a field where he will be absolutely electrifying at the finishing post. HAYA LAND (8) is always there and thereabout and will be in the frame once again if wise up to the task. FORZA SEDACA (3) wraps up the quartet mix.

    Summary: Supplemented EMBIEZ (2) looks well entered here after being second in command in her last start and may have found the right race to add to her winning tally. AL ALAALI (8) is in threatening form and has the credentials to strike on his current form. He must be respected. BATURHAN (5) is yet to taste success and does have the urge to shed his maiden. He will be another bold trier in hoping to achieve his first career success. BARBADIN (4) must be included in all perms on form.

  1. ILLUSTRE JULRY – Has not won for some time but gave a particularly good account at Vichy 10 days ago and must not be underestimated
  2. IDEE FIXE BREIZH – Is confirmed at the venue but has looked decidedly ordinary this term and is unlikely to create an upset
  3. ILDO DES CHAMPS – Has form in the amateur category but has struggled to make any impact this year and can be passed over
  4. IMPEC DE BERTRANGE – Back to the amateur division after a pair of maintenance runs in the professional ranks. Has nothing to prove under these conditions and from the 4 slot will be no pushover
  5. IEUSSEC EXPRESS – Ran 5th of 16 on his return to the category at Beaumont-de-Lomagne a month back. Has been reconfigured for his return to Agen and from the 5 slot can give this a good go
  6. JASMIN DE COEUR – Sprang something of a surprise when 5th in a Langon Class F 8 days ago. Has no Agen references but breaks in front and even sporting shoes cannot be discounted
  7. GAPACHE DE HOUELLE – Won under these conditions last November but has not been as sharp since, and even with shoes off will have few friends
  8. JEU ROYAL – Presents excellent credentials in the amateur division and over track and trip. Is forced to start wide but is plainly at the top of his game and can bring the fight to JUNKY DE CHENU (15)
  9. IDYLLE DU DIGEON – Unremarkable mare returning to the amateur division after being well-beaten at Issigeac last month and in this company will have nothing to offer
  10. HAMBRIN D’ARANAU – Unplaced in 2 since winning over track and trip 3 months ago. Is reunited though with Adeline Haret who imposed with him that day and will have his supporters
  11. HIMALAYA DU FORT – Has done nothing noteworthy since imposing at Toulouse last September and can be confidently disregarded
  12. JUNINIO FLEURY – Returns to the provinces after running 6th in a Vincennes Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Simply excels at Agen and even with shoes fitted still looks dangerous
  13. ICARE DE BANVILLE – Kicked the year off nicely but has since come off the boil and the draw will do him no favours
  14. INSTINCT DU RENARD – Surprise 5th in a Langon Class G 8 days ago, however a repeat seems most improbable
  15. JUNKY DE CHENU – Debuts in the amateur category following a pair of fresheners. The talented Cyril Baty reins and can win this if he successfully navigates the draw
  16. HARCADY – Has been enjoying a good run of form in both amateur and professional ranks recently. Has previously won here but the draw will limit his chances
    Summary: JUNKY DE CHENU (15) has a pair of races under his belt since returning from a lengthy break. He is new to the amateur division, and starts on the back line, but is a cut above most here and can impose. JEU ROYAL (8) is better-placed in front, however, and has already won twice under these conditions. ILLUSTRE JULRY (1) has been holding his own lately and is unlikely to be far from the action. IMPEC DE BERTRANGE (4) imposed over course and distance in April and is ideally-positioned behind the car.

  17. NINO DU PLESSIS – Got off the mark in Toulouse 2 months ago but has struggled since and must first get his house in order
  18. NACRE DE MOUTIERS – Quality future prospect that lost her maiden status at Meslay-du-Maine on 28 May. Should take well to Agen conditions and will have every chance of confirming
  19. NAELIE DU GUESCLIN – Has started to make good on her promise following a tricky start to her career. Inherited success at Langon but was eye-catching all the same and must be considered a player once more
  20. NEPTUNE DE KACY – Made up for Bordeaux blip when successful in a 2725m Class F in late-May. Faces a better lot this time but still looks a player
  21. NOUBA BAROQUE – Has done nothing but improve since her first steps on the track, latterly beating NAELIE DU GUESCLIN (3) to open her account at Grenade-sur-Garonne 3 weeks ago. Is proven racing clockwise and unlikely to let the side down
  22. NUMBER ONE PIEMONT – Has improved for every run this term, latterly runner-up in an Eauze Class E 2 weeks ago, but in this company is unlikely to set off any fireworks
  23. NOBLESSE MIKA – Has yet to lose her maiden tag but showed improvement at Niort a fortnight ago. Sports pads for the first time and although not a priority is still worth monitoring
  24. NOSOTROS GABINLEA – Sent for a short spell after opening his account at Beaumont-de-Lomagne in early-April. Was eliminated on return to competition but will have progressed for the race and despite the wide draw may still represent the main threat
  25. NOVA D’ALOUETTE – Has been raced sparingly since her October debut. Did not enjoy the best of success at Montauban last month and even though reconfigured looks no more than a minor place chance
  26. NUWA DU PATURAL – Won a Class F on debut here in February but has made little impact in 3 since. Starts on back row and can expect to have few takers
  27. NOVA LOUDETTES – Steps up in category after beating NOVA LOUDETTES (11) to secure victory in an Issigeac Class G on 24 May. Is on the back line but is still very hard to ignore
  28. NARCOS SMART – Opened his account at Castelsarrasin, at 2nd time of asking, but his subsequent performance did little to inspire confidence
  29. NIKITA DE LAPENCHE – Unexceptional filly that could manage no closer than 6th to NOUBA BAROQUE (5) in a Class F at Grenade-sur-Garonne 3 weeks ago and can be confidently ruled out
    Summary: Most impressive to date, NACRE DE MOUTIERS (2) showed great tenacity to open her account late last month, has been handed a good draw, and looks eminently capable of repeating. NOSOTROS GABINLEA (8) is not the easiest of horses to use but he got off the mark in good order, and with application can give her something to consider. Better-placed behind the car, and winner at Langon 8 days ago, NAELIE DU GUESCLIN (3) returns to racing right-handed and will have her chances if she turns. Facile winner at Grenade-sur-Garonne 3 weeks ago, NEPTUNE DE KACY (4) is well-placed on the front line and can again finish in the mix.

  32. MOSPEL DU VERGER – Winner here last autumn, and 5th in 2625m Derby des 4 Ans here on 30 May. Takes a dip in category and is in with a realistic shout of imposing this time

  43. MON FAVORI – Looked to be coming good earlier in the spring but was eliminated in last 2 and others easier to trust
  44. MISTER JOHNS – Won a Class F over longer here in April, and most recently ran 4th in Vichy, but has pulled a rough number and in this company will struggle to make his presence felt

  53. KURLING ATOUT – Returns to racing clockwise after some modest left-handed runs. Starts wide on front row but is not one to be overlooked
  54. KATHY DU PERCHE – Has held her own since returning to competition in April. Is not about to win this but can pick up a first-5 cheque
  55. KOKI DE SPERETOUT – Has shown noticeable improvement over recent months, latterly 4th in a Grenade-sur-Garonne Class D, but would have better prospects in the amateur division
  56. KINGSTON DU GOSIER – Previously a good sort, and has placed under these conditions, but has plainly lost his way and can be confidently disregarded
  57. KOBALT – Springs the occasional surprise but was trounced in his last 2. Shoes back on and no concern
    Summary: Sent for his winter break after winning 2 on the trot, KENZO A TROIS (6) got straight back down to business at Les Sables-d’Olonne early this month and looks set to take all the beating. Manuel Criado will still be mindful of KARL SPEED (4) who imposed at Gémozac a fortnight back, and a freshly re-shod KIRKENESSE (1) who is considerably better than her Toulouse performance would suggest. Runner-up and third that day on a track they know inside out, DON FALCO (2) and CERVARO (1) should provide the main opposition. Seen over a shorter trip recently, VIVE LA REINE (5) looks capable of restoring her reputation and can shine brightly.

Trainer Mathieu Pitart is doubly represented with SANTA LUZIA (2), who caught the eye recently at ParisLongchamp, and DAR ES SALAAM (3), who finished third at this level as recently as last Saturday.

    Summary: BALTA (1) comes into this in solid form, having posted two good efforts over this course and distance, and looks a reliable anchor. Off the track for three months, IRIA CHOPE (10) pushed our selection all the way here on 4 March and should be competitive again. Supplemented for the race, JOYPHORIA (8) made a very strong impression over the mile at Cavaillon last month and commands respect. CHOCOLATE CHEETAH (7), is improving and could also get involved with the finish. A good lucky last race.
