Bill The Bull backed to deliver in Dragon Stakes

Fine Form
Bill The Bull SN – 2.25

can give Adam Kirby the biggest winner of his fledgling training career with victory in the Coral Dragon Stakes at Sandown.
The Coulsty colt was only beaten a length at 50-1 in the National Stakes at the Esher circuit, after leading for much of the way and only surrendering his lead in the final half-furlong.
He then had his sights lowered in a maiden at Bath and went on to strike at the fourth time of asking, making all and running on to win by the best part of three lengths.
Black type is now there for the taking as he steps back up in grade to Listed level.
Sallaal SN – 3.35
can strike in stakes company for the first time in the Davies Insurance Solutions Gala Stakes.
Gelded after his final run of last year, the Roger Varian-trained son of Frankel was an eyecatching second behind Rathgar at Epsom in April and was then an impressive six-and-a-half-length winner off 5lb higher back at the Surrey track on Oaks day.
On the evidence so far this term, there is every chance he is an improved performer.
Charlie Johnston’s
Lazy Griff SN – 4.10
can make his second attempt at two miles a successful one in the Coral Marathon.
The Middleham Park Racing-owned four-year-old was a Group Three winner at two and stepped up to a mile and a half in the Chester Vase on his three-year-old bow. He was beaten into second by Lambourn on the Roodee, before again only finding Aidan O’Brien’s colt too good when running a huge race in the Derby.
Lambourn was again his nemesis in the Irish equivalent, as he was a two-and-a-quarter length third.
Stepped up to two miles for the first time in the Henry II Stakes he was only beaten a rallying length and three-quarters, on what was a first outing following an 11-month absence.
Collateral Damage SN – 3.00
can make the long trip south a profitable one to maintain an unbeaten start to his career in the Tattersalls £40,000 EBF Novice Stakes.
Trained by Karl Burke at Middleham, the Too Darn Hot colt struck at the first time of asking in a Catterick maiden, getting up to hold off Leave The Bag In by a neck and can defy a 5lb penalty for that win.
Redbud Sixteen DO – 3.45
goes in search of a hat-trick in the Instarmac Group Handicap at Doncaster.
The four-year-old was a well-beaten eighth of nine on his debut for Charlie Pike after switching from the care of Paul Attwater, but once upped in trip he followed that up with two comfortable wins at Salisbury and Newbury.
Elegant Erin BE – 7.02
is a Beverley specialist and can win on the Westwood for the sixth time in the Belazu, Part Of The William Jackson Food Group Handicap.
