R1 VINCENNES [L-H]

C1 – PRIX JOSEPH AVELINE – 2175m (a1m1/4) – Class C – Harness – EUR € 46,000

  1. MOONLIGHT STAR – Third in a Class C at Enghien over 2,875m on 18 July 2026, on just her second start back. Franck Nivard in the bike this time but confirmation seems unlikely
  2. MASAI MARA – Tricky element returning to a track she likes after being disqualified in a Meslay Class B in late-July. Sports modified shoeing, has form with Eric Raffin, and is difficult to ignore
  3. MAYOLA VEDAQUAISE – Starts for the first time since being eliminated in an Enghien Class C on 18 July. Is reunited with David Thomain who ran 2nd with her here in May and cannot be discounted
  4. MAMACITA – Victorious in a Class D at Enghien over 2,150m on 29 July, making it 3 on the trot. Finds herself in better company this time but is versatile and easy to like for a place in the picture
  5. MAESTRIA GALAA – Capable Group-placed filly that has struggled so far this term. JMB reins this time but others still easier to back
  6. MARA BEST – Finished 6th in a Class C at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 2,925m on 8 July 2026. Has raced and placed at Vincennes but needs to find more this time
  7. MY SAVE QUICK – Unplaced in a Class C at Enghien over 2,875m on 6 August when being prepared for this. Excels over course and distance and looks competitively well in. Attention
  8. MY DARLING DU RIS – Encountered traffic problems but still finished runner-up in a Class D at Cabourg over 2,050m on 14 August. Is plainly in rude health and returns to Vincennes barefoot and with a good hand to play
  9. MARQUISE DE MAGNY – Unplaced on comeback in a Class C at Enghien over 2,875m on 6 August and can be confidently disregarded
  10. MISSING – Got straight down to business on re-entry, winning a Class B at Lisieux over 2,725m on 17 August. Is new to 2175m but excels at Vincennes and is easy to like for the win
    Summary: MISSING (10) bounced straight back to form on her recent return at Lisieux and can be preferred to MY DARLING DU RIS (8), who is barefoot and close to her race, MAMACITA (4), who is like a horse reborn, and MASAI MARA (2) who, with Eric Raffin reining, should be afforded another chance.

  11. L’AIGLE PASS – Returns to the discipline following some poor runs under harness and even with shoes off can be ruled out
  12. LAGON DU DEZERT – Ran 2nd in a Sainte-Marie-du-Mont Class F on 2 August but was eliminated 5 days later in a Class F at Agon-Coutainville, and will struggle to make any impact
  13. LE VENT DU HOULET – Won a Class F Apprentices’ race at Cabourg over 2,750m on 7 August. Has previously won with Mehdi Lelièvre and is unlikely to let the side down
  14. LAGON DU POMMEREUX – Has done nothing but improve lately, lastly 3rd in a Lisieux harness Class F last weekend, but is taking on too much this time
  15. LUTHIER DE PAIL – Returns to the capital after finishing 11th in a harness Class F at Pornichet over 2,725m on 13 August. Has been showing more racing clockwise lately and is not an obvious choice
  16. LIBERTY CASH – Serious mare that was pulled up in a Class E on turf 3 weeks ago. Has bags of ability but would be preferred a level down
  17. LIBERATOR PHEDO – Returned to winning ways at Pornichet 12 days ago, when imposing by little, in a 2725m Class F. Thrives with his jockey and will be well-backed to confirm
  18. LOVELY TRIP – Finished 4th in a Class E at Vincennes over 2,700m on 22 August. Would be preferred barefoot but even in the day’s configuration should not be far off the mark
  19. LOCKED UP – Returns to the ridden code after running third in a harness Class E at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 2,700m on 19 August. Has taken marvellously to the monte discipline and looks principal danger to LIBERATOR PHEDO (7)
  20. LOZEN DE BANVILLE – Finished 7th in a harness Class E at La Capelle over 2,700m on 25 August. Cléa Roger aboard for monte bow but others still easier to back
  21. LITTLE DRAGON – Lost his action after being blocked in under harness at Strasbourg 9 days ago. Clearly showed his form though and, in the hands of Paul Ploquin, can put things right
  22. LIPTON LATAL – Has raced little for past couple of years but was not disgraced when 6th in a Cabourg harness Class D 8 days ago. Debuts in the discipline, sporting 4 pads for the first time, and should not be ignored
  23. LUNA DE JOUDES – Did not enjoy the best of trips when 8th in a Strasbourg harness Class E late last month. Is never far from faulting but with application can make her presence felt
    Summary: LIBERATOR PHEDO (7), re-shod and superb with Mathieu Mottier in the irons, and LOCKED UP (9), who has not put a foot wrong in three starts under the saddle, are preferred to a reconfigured LITTLE DRAGON (11), partnered by Paul Ploquin for the occasion, and LOVELY TRIP (8), who is one to watch on his monte debut.

  24. MONSIEUR WILLIAM – Second in a Class D at La Capelle over 2,700m on 25 August 2026. Has excelled since moving yards and is eminently capable go getting his nose in front
  25. MISTER TROT – It took 15 races but he got off the mark in a Class F at Agon 12 days ago. Starts in front and although unlikely to repeat, should nevertheless hold his own
  26. MODEVY – Has been improving lately, most recently 3rd in a Class E at Les Sables-d’Olonne 10 days ago and from the 3 slot can figure prominently
  27. MOJITO CENE – Got the year off to a terrific start before losing his way. Has a race under his belt since the spell though, is barefoot for the occasion, and is sufficiently well positioned to give this a good go
  28. MALCKO DE MARSAC – Has been exceptional this summer, winning 3 of last 4, most recently dominating a Saint-Galmier Class E a fortnight ago, and with Eric Raffin back in the bike can add another win to his tally
  29. MURMURE – Gives a good account for the most part when focused but out of the picture in 3 of last 4 and chances appear slim
  30. MUST GO FAST – Lacklustre 6th in a Class E at Cabourg over 2,725m on 18 August but has otherwise been in terrific shape. Benefits from a superb engagement and Pierre Houel will be keen to deliver
  31. MAGE DES MONTS – Pleasantly surprising 4th in an incident-filled Class E at Enghien on 13 August, however is not about to repeat
  32. MYSTIC DE BLARY – Consistently in the thick of things when he stays trotting. Was disqualified in a Pornichet Class E on 20 August but cannot be ruled out
  33. MIMO DU MESNIL – Respectable fifth in a 2475m Class F at Francheville three weeks ago, but in this company will have his work cut out
  34. MANHATTAN PIYA – Consistently a case of all-or-nothing. Has a pair of runs under his belt and can make a big splash if Alexandre Abrivard keeps him focused
  35. MEPHISTO JAVANAIS – Goes barefoot for the first time after having run 5th in a Cabourg Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Is new to the main track and others preferred
  36. MAN ON THE MOON – Was unable to confirm Chateaubriant performance when disqualified in a Pornichet Class E on 20 August. Trainer back in the bike and the draw will do him no favours
    Summary: MALCKO DE MARSAC (5), who has taken his game to a new level since coming to France, can secure the hat-trick but Eric Raffin will still need to be wary of MONSIEUR WILLIAM (1), who is dynamic when barefoot, MUST GO FAST (7), who is just a few Euros from elimination, and the complicated MANHATTAN PIYA (11) who races barefoot for the first time.

  37. FEU DE REVOLTE – Complicated individual that has done nothing noteworthy for some time and can be ruled out
  38. INES DE LA ROUVRE – Unlucky 7th in a Class D at Enghien over 2,150m on 12 August. Has otherwise been in fine shape but at this level will have too much to do
  39. JIPET DE CREPIN – Showed in an Enghien Class B a month back that he is clearly back at his best and, given his 2026 form, must be considered a priority
  40. GAI MATIN – Disqualified in four of last five starts, the latest a Class B at Hyeres over 2,650m on 5 July, and has nothing to offer
  41. GOLD D’ECROVILLE – Returns to Vincennes following a fruitless stint at Divonne and is not about to generate much interest
  42. INDIEN DE FONTAINE – Finished 8th in a Class D at Vibraye over 3,100m on 15 August, his first appearance since early-June. Is clearly in race-mode, will be reunited with Eric Raffin, and can give this a good go
  43. JOLIVERT DU GERS – Failed to confirm excellent Enghien performance when 7th in a Divonne Class B a fortnight ago. Drops marginally in category and could get a look in
  44. I STILL LOVING YOU – Has not been seen out since winning a Class C over 2,100m here on 21 June, but has clearly been prepared for this and can get straight back in the game
  45. JOUR DE FETE – Gives a good account for the most part, most recently 5th in a Divonne Class B on 21 August, but still needs to take his game up a notch
  46. JIZOU D’ETANG – Made it 2 on the trot when outclassing the opposition in a Class C at Enghien over 2,875m on 29 July, and is in with a realistic shout of securing the hat-trick
  47. JOJO TOONS – Was given an easy comeback at Mons following his short spell. Faces first objective of the autumn and is unlikely to be far from the action
  48. HORS BORD – Is not without merit but lost his way during the spring and is unlikely to trouble the opposition
  49. GAMIN DES ISLES – Fifth in a Class C at Laval over 2,850m on 19 August 2026. Is nicely-engaged here and in present shape can make first five
  50. JACOMO BELLO – Third in a Class C at Enghien over 2,150m on 9 July 2026, after having won a Class C there the previous month. Benefits from a superb entry and Robin Lamy will be keen to continue the fruitful streak
    Summary: Twice a winner at Vincennes this year, JIPET DE CREPIN (3) most recently won with authority at Enghien. He should face opposition though from JIZOU D’ETANG (10) who has easily won his last two starts. JACOMO BELLO (14) returns from a well-earned layup and is clearly in competition-mode. In cracking form prior to his own spell, I STILL LOVING YOU (8) is shod to preference and represents a decent place chance. Barefoot following last month’s re-entry, JOJO TOONS (11) is never one to be overlooked.

  51. L’AMOUR MEARAS – Useful Swedish import making French bow for new yard not having raced since 20 May. Has a lot going for him here and can get straight down to business
  52. FABIUS ORS – Makes French debut and races barefoot for the first time after coming 3rd over 2100m in Santi Cosma e Damiano in early-July. Faces a much better lot this time and can be passed over
  53. SAM PIERJI (BEL) – Was denied a run and subsequently disqualified in a Class E at Enghien a month back, but is reunited with Pierre-Yves Verva who ran 4th with him there just 11 days earlier and with application will not be far off the mark
  54. OLIVER SCHERMER – Makes French bow after failing to deliver in Östersund early last month. Has otherwise been in fine shape and with Paul Ploquin reining will be afforded every chance
  55. UTKIEKER – Is back in France after scoring smartly over 1900m in Berlin on 16 August. Failed to make the grade on sole Vincennes start but in current condition is hard to ignore
  56. LUDO PAROYO – Came 5th of 7 finishers in a 2875m Enghien Class E on 12 August and is out of his depth here
  57. SOKRATES – Wonderfully-consistent type returning to France after scoring at home. Benjamin Rochard gets the nod this time and looks competitive for a step on the podium
  58. LLAMP DE LLEVANT – Returns to France after finishing 6th over 2650m in Mallorca late last month but in this company will struggle to make his presence felt
  59. LOVE ACTUALLY – Lost his action early in a Cabourg Class E 2.5 weeks ago and in present condition has no realistic chance
  60. LOUVIERS – Moderate sort that was eliminated in a Class E over course and distance 2 weeks ago. Appears to have come off the boil and even though barefoot still looks an outsider
  61. BLACK HEUVELLAND – Gave an excellent account on comeback when 2nd over 1900m at home in Berlin 3 weeks ago. Will have come on for the run, is confirmed under these conditions, and can open his 2026 account
    Summary: There is little to choose between the well-engaged BLACK HEUVELLAND (11), L’AMOUR MEARAS (1), first-time barefoot and partnered by Jean-Michel Bazire for his French debut, a similarly-barefoot SOKRATES (7), who imposed in Munich after having run well at Enghien on 2 August, and SAM PIERJI (BEL) (3), who was very unlucky that day.

  63. GIFTOVER – Produced a pair of decent efforts before being trounced in a 2725m Pornichet Class E on 20 August, and will need to step up his game
  64. HIRIUS DE GUEZ – Unplaced in a Class E at Pornichet over 2,725m on 20 August. Is better than the result would suggest but in this category will need to find more
  65. HURLEVENT – In the frame in last 2 monte starts, most recently 3rd in an Enghien Class D on 8 August. Is reunited with Eric Raffin with whom he has won 4 times and is not one to be underestimated
  66. HARRY DU LYS – Ran 6th in a Class C at Enghien over 2,250m on 2 August. Will be ridden by Mathieu Mottier who ran 4th with him over course and distance during the spring and must be taken seriously
  67. HANA D’OCCAGNES – Finished 7th in a harness Class C at Vincennes over 2,850m on 24 August. Presents a respectable monte portfolio but others still preferred
  68. IBIS DE CHAHAINS – Ran 7th in a Class D at Laval over 2,850m on 19 August. Is no slouch on a good day but is taking on too much
  69. INDIGO DU PERCHE – Pulled off the hat-trick in a 2875m Class D at Enghien on 8 August. Has never delivered at Vincennes but in current form can change all that
  70. IGOR DU PARC – Runner-up in a Class D at Laval over 2,850m on 28 August. Has been knocking at the door for some time, has experience under these conditions, and can contest the finish
  71. I LOVE D’AMOUR – Finished 6th in a Class D at Beaumont-De-Lomagne over 2,550m on 23 August 2026, just his second start back. Is confirmed under these conditions and has a reasonable chance of picking up a cheque
  72. HELIUM DE L’ITON – Eliminated in 2 of last 3, most recently a Laval Class D 2.5 weeks ago, and has no possible chance
  73. IROKO DU LOIR – Oddly lacklustre 11th of 13 in a Class C at Enghien over 2,250m on 2 August 2026, a month after running 3rd in an Enghien Class D. Has had an interrupted career and is behind in earnings, and Guillaume Martin will be eager to put things right
  74. HAPPY PACHA – Returns to the monte code following a trio of modest harness performances. Gave a good account last time under these conditions but others still preferred
  75. GRAHIKA – Starts for the first time since losing her action over the inner course here on 19 June. Excels with her jockey though and will be expected to finish close
  76. ISOCRATE D’ELA – Surprise 3rd in an Enghien Class C in late-July but failed to confirm 2.5 weeks ago and is not an obvious choice
    Summary: INDIGO DU PERCHE (8) is at the top of his game and will be bidding for a fourth consecutive win. IGOR DU PARC (9), who is patently close to his race, will lead the opposition along with a re-shod GRAHIKA (14), who goes particularly well for Damien Bonne, and HURLEVENT (4), who had made the frame in his last 4 monte starts.

  77. LOVEISLOVE PELLINI – Has picked up this year where he left off in 2025, most recently disqualified under the saddle at Chateaubriant, and has no possible chance
  78. KARMA QUICK – Won an Enghien claimer 3 weeks before coming 4th in a Laval Class D a fortnight ago. Takes on a considerably better bunch this time however and chances appear limited
  79. FASHION MONGER – Has picked up in France where he left off in Sweden, most recently winning an Enghien Class E with consummate ease, and steps up in category with every chance of repeating
  80. KANAKA DE BUSSET – Second in a Class A at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 2,925m on 22 August. Has not put a foot out of line for some time and cannot be discounted
  81. NIAGARA RIVER – Won 3 in a row before being disqualified in a Class D at Cabourg over 2,750m on 3 July. Has not been seen since but is clearly in race-mode and merits respect
  82. EXPRESS D’ARC – Put a pair of eliminations behind him to come encouraging 5th in a Cabourg Class D a fortnight back. Won over course and distance earlier in the year and on good behaviour can finish closer
  83. KAPITANO DE SOURCE – Finished 5th in a Class D at Laval over 2,850m on 28 August. Has not won for some time but Mathieu Mottier stays faithful for a reason and should be taken more seriously this time
  84. KUEEN’S PRIDE – Unbeaten in 2 starts, both on turf, since returning from her break. Goes over any trip, is just as capable on a hard surface, appreciates Vincennes, and can give FASHION MONGER (3) a run for her money
    Summary: FASHION MONGER (3), who convincingly won his last two across town, and the remarkably-consistent KUEEN’S PRIDE (8), ideally-engaged as she vies for the hat-trick, look set for something of a duel here. KAPITANO DE SOURCE (7), barefoot with Mathieu Mottier back in the bike, and EXPRESS D’ARC (6), who reassured at Cabourg, look set to contest the third spot.

  85. MAGIC ONE – Makes French debut after running 3rd in Berlin early last month. Sports front pads for the first time but can still expect to find this a tough test
  86. I’M CEC – Out of the picture in both starts since coming to France. Damien Bonne in the bike this time but is still not a player
  87. NEWTON DES FORGES – Tricky but talented colt that reassured when victorious in an Enghien Class C on 10 August and can contest the finish provided he stays trotting
  88. NELSON DU PONT – Ran 4th, a place behind NIEHKU (8), in a Class A over course and distance on 24 August. Will not be available at 64-1 this time but is unlikely to be as competitive either
  89. NON STOP DE FOOT – Failed to confirm Bernay success when 7th in 24 August race of reference and looks a minor place chance at best
  90. NEVALE VET – Won 4 of 5 before losing her action in a Class A under these conditions 12 days ago, but will be no pushover if his trainer-driver keeps her focused
  91. ICEBERG BI – Serious future prospect with good speed. Most impressive 2nd in an Enghien Gr.3 early last month and looks the pick of the field this time
  92. NIEHKU – Quality gelding that defied his odds in a Class A over course and distance 12 days ago when 3rd of 12 and, with form maintained, will not be going home empty-handed
  93. NOBEL VENESI – Finished 6th in a Group III at Vincennes over 2,700m on 22 August 2026. Has yet to deliver this year and cannot be considered a priority
  94. NANO UP STAR – Victorious on comeback in a Class B at Grenade-Sur-Garonne over 2,700m on 15 August. Has no love for Vincennes though and others easier to back
  95. NICE TO SEE YOU – Beaten only by a very good horse in a Cagnes Class A early last month. Presents solid Vincennes credentials and must not be overlooked
  96. NIKY ELDE – Fourth in a Class A at Enghien over 2,875m on 25 July. Has gone close more than once in this category and his latest effort bodes well for his prospects
    Summary: ICEBERG BI (7), beaten only by Nebraska De Ginier in the Gr.3 Prix de Berlin on 1 August, looks a formidable contender with Eric Raffin in the bike. NEWTON DES FORGES (3) and NEVALE VET (6), if they get off on the right foot, and the well-engaged NIKY ELDE (12), can be considered next.

  97. FERAHAN AS – Well-beaten in last 2 starts, most recently 9th in a Class B at Laval 2.5 weeks ago, and has a lot of ground to make up
  98. FIRST TIME ROC – Finished 7th in a Class B at Laval over 2,850m on 19 August after having run 3rd in an Enghien Gr.3 the previous month. Is clearly better than the result would suggest and should be taken seriously
  99. LADY DADA – Should not be too hastily-judged for recent Laval performance. Has been showing her form over recent weeks and may well prove the main threat to LALUNA DES FORGES (7)
  100. LEADER D’AIMTE – Fifth in a Class B at Laval over 2,850m on 19 August, following a pair of fine performances across town. Has solid references under these conditions and is unlikely to disappoint
  101. LA STAR ROC – Returns to a more reasonable level after coming 8th in a Group II at Enghien over 2,150m on 14 August. Is barefoot for the occasion and although not a priority is still worth keeping an eye on
  102. LUTIN VENESI – Runner-up in a Class A at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 2,925m on 22 August. Is plainly back on the right path but is in superior company here and cannot be considered a player
  103. LALUNA DES FORGES – Gr.2-placed mare that ran 4th in a Group II at Enghien over 2,150m on 14 August. Is in less-exalted company this time, won under these conditions earlier in the year, and can do so again
  104. LILAS CASTELLE – Disqualified in a Group III at Enghien over 2,875m on 4 July. Has not been seen out since, is barefoot for re-entry, and can be passed over
  105. L’AMOURPOURBLANCA – Returns to France after running unexceptional 4th over 2650m at Tongres 11 days ago. Has never delivered at Vincennes and is not about to start now
    Summary: LALUNA DES FORGES (7), who ran an encouraging fourth in an Enghien Gr.2 three weeks ago, has a fine opportunity to get back in the winners’ enclosure. LADY DADA (3), who goes barefoot following an unlucky run at Laval, and FIRST TIME ROC (2), reunited with Eric Raffin, will attempt to make life difficult for her, along with LEADER D’AIMTE (4), who is in excellent form.

  1. MONT DE SOLEIL – Solid 4th in a Listed over 1800m at Clairefontaine on the 1st of August 2026. Strong winning contentions
  2. POCA GEN – Confident winner in a Class 3 Handicap over 2400m at La Teste-Bassin Arcachon on the 10th of August 2026. Lurker chance of winning here
  3. BLACK ULTRA – Finished 6th in a Class 3 Handicap over 2500m at Deauville on the 18th of August 2026. Capable of earning
  4. LE COMBAT CONTINUE – Put a line through when running 15th in a Class 1 Handicap over 2000m at Deauville on the 23rd of August 2026. Can find form again
    Summary: MONT DE SOLEIL (1) showed all heart last time out when finishing fourth in a Listed and has every possible chance of romping home into the winners box here. LE COMBAT CONTINUE (4) is much better than her last start suggests and in this smaller field, she can easily make amends. POCA GEN (2) hit home over the track and trip and a repetition of that effort could easily find him following up. BLACK ULTRA (3) is capable of earning here.

  56. MYKERINOS – Victorious in Class F at Saint-Galmier over 2650m on 29 August. Has won two of last three starts and can score again

    Summary: MUSIQUE AMOUR (9) seems to have improved significantly since being fitted without shoes and could make a big impact back under saddle. Her stablemate MYKERINOS (11) is a strong performer in this discipline and will also be highly fancied. The delicate MAJOR DU GOUTIER (8) is entrusted to Quentin Seguin for his first mounted race, which warrants caution. The green emoji has been unfurled for MARA DE MALABRY (12), who has shown ability in harness racing.

  70. IMPACT OAKS – Finished 7th in class G at Saint-Galmier over 2675m on 29 August. Has only been moderate of late and others make more appeal
  71. KING DE JOUDES – Outclassed the opposition in a Class G Amateurs’ race at Saint-Galmier over 2,650m on 22 August. Successful four times in a row and could score again
  72. INVICTUS ELLIS – Finished 10th in a Class F Apprentices’ race at Divonne over 2,600m on 9 August. Did win some solid races earlier this year and is not out of it
  73. HELLO CAUVELLIERE – Came home 4th in a Class E at Cavaillon over 2,600m on 29 August. Holding form and can earn some more money
  74. IGOR DE BOITRON – In good shape and finished 4th in Class H at Thouars over 2700m on 23 August. Can get involved with the finish once again
  75. HULK DU SABLIER – Unplaced in a Class G Apprentices’ race at this course over 2,800m on 1 August. Has struggled of late and others are preferred
  76. INCOGNITO – Victorious in a Class G Amateurs’ race over this course and distance on 25 August. In good shape and is a real threat
  77. HIVAROSA DU BOCAGE – Came home 4th in a Class G Amateurs’ race over this course and distance on 25 August. Might earn some minor money
    Summary: KING DE JOUDES (6) has been virtually unbeatable since the start of the year and looks the one to beat in this lucky last race. INCOGNITO (11) is enjoying a fine spell of form and holds strong claims for an each-way finish, as does IGOR DE BOITRON (9), who narrowly finished ahead of him at Les Sables-d’Olonne on July 24th. KALISCA DE LA LEUE (4) is well placed for her return to Georges Fournigault’s stable and should not be underestimated.
