R1 VINCENNES [L-H]
C1 – PRIX OPHELIA – 2100m (a1m1/4) – – Harness – EUR € 56,000
- INTREPIDE TURGOT – Finished 8th in a Class E at Enghien over 2,150m on 12 August but should not be too quickly-judged. Gave a good account under these conditions earlier in the year and has a reasonable chance of finishing in the mix
- JOGGER KILY – Has placed just the once in 5 starts since imposing at Bernay in late-May. Has no Vincennes references and can expect to find this a tough task
- JOURNAL INTIME – Fifth in a Class F at Vichy over 2,950m on 25 August. Has been acquitting himself well and returns to the venue of his last victory and must be taken seriously
- JIQUEL – Finished 6th in a Class E at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 2,150m on 19 August. Tends to prefer a more even surface and is unlikely to create an upset
- JASPER PIYA – Runner-up in a Class E at Chateaubriant over 2,300m on 7 August. Showed that day that he is close to his race and, considering the entry, can wrap this up
- JAZZ D’OURVILLE – Ran 3rd in last 2, most recently a Divonne Class E on 18 August. Is nicely-in on the front row and will have a part to play
- IN LOVE D’ECAJEUL – Won a Class F at La Capelle over 2,750m on 30 July, making it 2 on the trot, and if applied can make a big splash
- JULIANO STILE – Produced 3 superb efforts before finishing 4th in a Lisieux Class E a fortnight ago. Is forced to start wide, and has never delivered at Vincennes, but in present shape is hard to ignore
- JEEK D’ACADIE – Winner at Cagnes and Marseille respectively last month. Takes on a superior bunch this time but the Eric Raffin-factor could make all the difference
- J’ENVISAGE DUBRIO – Victorious in a Class F at Pornichet over 2,725m on 13 August. Thoroughly deserved his win and while unlikely to repeat, should nevertheless give a good account of himself
- ISSI TOP – Ran 6th in a Class E at La Capelle over 1,800m on 2 September. Has previously won over course and distance but in current condition is not easy to recommend
- JUMBY BAY – Second in a Class F at Pornichet over 2,725m on 20 August, her first start following a layup. Will have come on for the run but still represents no more than a minor place chance
- JUEN EMONDEVILLE – In the frame in 2 of last 3, most recently 2nd to J’ENVISAGE DUBRIO (10) in a Pornichet Class F on 13 August, but will still need to find more
- JOCKEY – Showed improvement when 5th in a Cabourg Class E 3.5 weeks ago. Is not as sharp as he was during the spring and will have little to offer
- IKACOU DES CINTY – Modest trotter that has made no impact over recent weeks and the draw only complicates matters
- JEKILL ROCQ – Finished 3rd in a Class F at Graignes over 2,700m on 8 August. Has pulled a rough number and climbs the category-ladder, but cannot be discounted
- JADE – Ran 6th in a Class E at Cabourg over 2,750m on 18 August. Races shod this time and will have other priorities
Summary: The choice is not straightforward between JASPER PIYA (5), who has taken no time getting back in shape, JOURNAL INTIME (3), who also looks close to his race, IN LOVE D’ECAJEUL (7), for whom it will probably be a case of all-or-nothing again, and JEEK D’ACADIE (9), who has been entrusted to Eric Raffin. JULIANO STILE (8) has been on a fine run of form and is easy to like for a place on the podium.

C2 – PRIX BAUCIS – 2700m (a1m1/2) – – Mounted – EUR € 75,000 - HOLD THE LINE – Just missed out on the four-timer when 2nd in a Class C at Vincennes over 2,850m on 19 June. Moves back to the main track, over which he scored in May, and at this level can make first five
- HEVA BLONDE – Fourth in a Class A at Vincennes over 2,850m on 22 August. Faces a tougher challenge this time and will have little to contribute
- ICARE WILLIAMS – Reassured connections when 2nd in a Class A over 2,850m here on 22 August and will not be available at 35-1 this time. Chance
- IGO CLEA – Finished 13th in a Class C at Laval over 2,850m on 19 August. Ran 3rd in a Class C here during the spring but will need to find more
- HELLO JADE RUSH – Finished 6th in a Group II at Enghien over 2,875m on 10 August. Drops back to a rather more suitable level but looks a minor place prospect at best
- JACARANDA – Has been rested since finishing 5th in a Class A at Vincennes over 2,850m on 12 June. Goes particularly well for Benjamin Rochard and on class alone can bring home the bacon
- GIVE ME – Finished 5th in a harness Class B at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 2,925m on 22 August. Has raced just once under the saddle and will not be taking Vincennes by storm
- HOLLYWOOD DU BOIS – Ran 4th in a Class C at Laval over 2,850m on 19 August. Is unlikely to shake things up but should have the wherewithal to give this a good go nevertheless
- JASON GINYU – Finished 3rd in a Class C at Laval over 2,850m on 19 August. Presents respectable Vincennes references and will be expected to finish in the mix
- IKURO JIEL – Unplaced in a harness Class C on comeback over 2,850m here on 29 August. Has never been tested at this level and is unlikely to influence the outcome
- IT’S MY DREAM – Unplaced in a Class C at Vincennes over 2,850m on 29 August when being conditioned for this. Is barefoot this time and on good behaviour will not be far from the action
- HOLD UP DES VENTES – Has slowly been getting back in shape, lastly 3rd behind ICARE WILLIAMS (3) in a 2850m Class A here 3 weeks ago. Is nicely-engaged here and Gaetan Gilard will be keen to make hay. Place chance
Summary: An excellent servant in this branch of the business, JACARANDA (6) has had ample time to calibrate after his June performance and, given his liking for these conditions, can return to triumphant ways. ICARE WILLIAMS (3) and HOLD UP DES VENTES (12) finished in that order behind Indigo De Fontaine three weeks ago and will lead the opposition alongside IT’S MY DREAM (11), whose monte form has been very hard to fault.

C3 – PRIX SCYLLA – 2100m (a1m1/4) – – Harness – EUR € 41,000 - LARA MAKS – Finished 7th in a Class E at Argentan over 1,609m on 8 August, her third start of the season, and must first get her house in order
- LOU D’ECROVILLE – Has not been as sharp this summer as she was when winning over course and distance in February, but can make first five if Matthias Legros keeps her trotting
- LA REINE MARGOT – Got back in the game at Cagnes a month ago when 3rd in a 2150m Class D. Takes on a better bunch here but will generate interest nevertheless
- LACKING SPIRIT – Runner-up in a Class E at Pornichet over 2,650m on 20 August. Has excelled over the past 4 months and from the 4 slot can play a leading role
- LEAD ME ON – Unplaced in a Class D at La Capelle over 2,700m on 25 August. Has struggled since being stepped up in category and is unlikely to create an upset
- LEADER BOURBON – Made up for a pair of sanctions when comfortably winning a Pornichet Class E on 20 August, and with Eric Raffin back in the bike can double his money
- LOREZZA ERA – Missed out on the hat-trick when 3rd in a Class E at Cabourg over 2,750m on 3 July. Has never produced the goods at Vincennes but in current shape is easy to make a case
- LILI DES ORMES – Finished 6th in a Class E at Argentan over 1,609m on 8 August. Is reunited with Mathieu Mottier who goes well with her and, if applied, will not be far from the action
- LICENCE CASTELETS – Victorious in a Class E Apprentices’ race at Enghien over 2,875m on 13 August, complementing her Mauquenchy success. Is forced to break wide and in this category will struggle to make her presence felt
- L’AMOUR – Made up for Enghien elimination when easily winning a 2700m Class E here 3 weeks ago. Starts on the back line but, with form maintained, can make this his own
- LUANA SPORT – Got back in the game last month, twice finishing runner-up at Cabourg, most recently a 2725m Class E 3 weeks ago, but appears to have little going for her here
- LADY MAJOR – Failed to confirm good recent performance at Cabourg when disqualified in a Vire Class E late last month, and can be passed over
- L’AS DES AS – Has hardly put a foot wrong since the start of the year, most recently 3rd in a 2700m Class E here 3 weeks ago. Paul Ploquin gets the nod this time and, while not a priority, should not be ruled out either
- LOLITA DE LA BUTTE – Finished 3rd in a Class E at La Capelle over 2,700m on 25 August, her first start since early-June. Will have improved for the run but faces a stiff test this time around
- LUNA PARK – Finished 8th in a Class D at Enghien over 2,150m on 10 August. Has delivered in neither discipline for some time and is not about to change her ways
- LARISSE D’ECHAL – Was unable to secure the hat-trick when disqualified in a Vichy Class E last Saturday. Has been allocated a rough number, reverts to a previous formula, and can get a look in
Summary: L’AMOUR (10) will have to contend with a second-row start but he has the ability to win a race of this nature provided he stays in stride. JMB will have to watch out for LEADER BOURBON (6) and LACKING SPIRIT (4), who finished in that order at Pornichet three weeks ago, and LOREZZA ERA (7), ideally-entered at the limit of earnings.

C4 – PRIX ALGORAH – 2850m (a2m) – – Harness – EUR € 59,000 - OH CEAN – Placed on comeback in late-June but has twice failed to produce the goods since and can expect to have few takers
- ORLANDO YOUNG – Pleasantly surprising 3rd in a Class E at Le Sap late last month, but already looks an also-ran
- ENJOY THE MOMENT – Secured a well-earned success when dominating an Argentan Class F on 8 August. Is new to Vincennes but is shod as he was at Argentan and Paul Ploquin can be forgiven for feeling bullish
- HASHTAG SIMONI – Was not pushed on re-entry early last month when 8th in a Saint-Malo Class E. Has otherwise been enjoying a productive year and is unlikely to let the side down
- JACKPOT MEARAS – Wonderfully-consistent type that finished 3rd in a Saint-Malo Class E in early-August, a month after having imposed at Les Sables-d’Olonne, and in the hands of Mathieu Mottier is a serious proposition
- RED HOT ROADSTER – Placed twice in August before failing to deliver in a Class D at La Capelle last week and is unlikely to spice things up
- DESTINO D.J. – Won on re-entry at Cesena early last month before losing his action a fortnight later there. Is barefoot this time, is confirmed here, but is being aimed too high
- INTREPIDE DES BOIS – In the frame in last 3 starts, most recently runner-up in a Class D over 2,100m here on 29 August. Has yet to disappoint for his driver and although unlikely to win this, can nevertheless finish in the mix
- HERMES PAT – Fifth in a Class D at Laval over 2,850m on 19 August. Appears to be getting back into form but still has a long way to go
- INVICTUS DE NILREM – Finished 2nd in a Class D at Laval over 2,850m on 19 August. Seldom disappointing when applied though and can play a small role
- JEREMY D’AS – Authoritative winner of a Class D at Strasbourg over 2,750m on 27 August. Is never the easiest of horses to gauge but, with form maintained, can bring the fight to JAZZ DE PADD (14)
- HERAKLION DESBOIS – Fourth in a Class D at Laval over 2,850m on 28 August. Is barefoot with Antonin Andre in the bike, but others still preferred
- JALDO D’OCQUE – Imposed at Vittel in early-August but was unable to confirm 3 weeks later at Montier-en-Der. In the bike this time, Benjamin Rochard will be eager to make amends
- JAZZ DE PADD – Finished 7th in a Class C at Les Sables D’Olonne over 2,000m on 28 August, when being prepared for this. Is barefoot this time and, given the entry, is easy to like for the win
Summary: Ideally-entered here, JAZZ DE PADD (14) will have been specifically prepared for this; he has nothing to prove over the Vincennes main track, thrives with his handler in the bike, and can open his autumn account. JEREMY D’AS (11) arrives here at the top of his game and looks the main threat. Commanding winner on his French debut at Les Sables-d’Olonne on 6 July, JACKPOT MEARAS (5) is clearly up to the challenge. Superb since returning to France this summer, ENJOY THE MOMENT (3) is a player, as is INTREPIDE DES BOIS (8) who has been knocking at the door.

C5 – PRIX GALATHEA – 2175m (a1m1/4) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 33,000 - OASIS DU CHOQUEL – Qualified in 1’17’5 at Caen on 5 May. Put in quite the performance that day and if as good in competition can impose
- OPERA QUEEN – Half-sister to the good King Opera and qualified nicely at Laval on 30 June. Comes here fresh and will garner significant support
- OASIENNE – Disqualified on debut in a Class G at Montier En Der over 2,300m on 23 August. Is the weakest link here and unlikely to upset the status quo
- OZANA PRIMA – Finished 3rd in a Class E at Amiens over 2,400m on 5 September, first time out. Will have progressed for the run but is not a priority this time around
- OLA LIBERTA – Runner-up on debut in a Class G at Vibraye over 2,000m on 30 August. Alexandre Abrivard in the bike this time and is unlikely to return home empty-handed
- ONE NIGHT IN RIO – Left a good impression despite being disqualified in a 2050m Cabourg Class D 3 weeks ago and will have a lot to contribute if David Thomain manages to keep her mind on the game
- OTILIE D’OLMEN – Qualified smartly in late-June before dominating a Class G at Le Sap over 2,625m on 30 August. Will have come on for the experience and a repeat is well within her capability
- OLBIA CASTELETS – Runner-up in a Class E at Bernay over 2,300m on 30 August, her first place in 3 starts. Is clearly not as capable as many others here and is not about to trouble the opposition
- OLYMPIC MEMORY – Finished 2nd in a Class D at Les Sables D’Olonne over 2,150m on 28 August. Is clearly an interesting future prospect and can figure prominently if she takes to the new profile
- ODESSA DE MORGANE – Finished 3rd in a Class D at Cabourg over 2,050m on 21 August, confirming her Saint-Malo run. Enjoys a good entry and should not be ignored
Summary: OASIS DU CHOQUEL (1), who made a very good impression when qualifying, and OTILIE D’OLMEN, who made a winning debut on turf and is trained by Thierry Duvaldestin whose 2 year-olds are firing on all cylinders, can be considered before the beautifully-related OPERA QUEEN (2), and ONE NIGHT IN RIO (6) who can be forgiven her recent disqualification.

C6 – PRIX DE BASLY – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Gr2 – Mounted – EUR € 120,000 - NYX DE VAL – Finished 4th in a harness Class B at Bernay over 2,800m on 26 July. Won a Class B over course and distance the previous month, is shod as she was that day, but may be biting off more than she can chew
- NINA JAVO – Finished 5th in a Group III at Vincennes over 2,175m on 22 August. Has a lot of ground to make up though and chances appear limited
- NOCARIO JEEP – Has not been seen out since running fourth in a Group I at Vincennes over 2,700m on 21 June. Goes over any trip and will not be far off the mark if he has enough work under his belt
- NEW MONEY – Tricky colt but has ample ability. Comes here on a hat-trick of eliminations but has never failed to fire for Mathieu Mottier and is not about to start now
- NESPERA – Successful in a Group III at Vincennes over 2,175m on 22 August, her first monte start back, and is easy to like for a place in the picture
- NIKITA DES CHARMES – Pleased twice in the provinces before being eliminated in a Gr.2 under these conditions late last month. Races shod this time but, if applied, can make first five
- NINJA DE L’ENVOL – Runner-up in a Group III at Vincennes over 2,175m on 22 August, 2 months after having won a Gr.1. Can occasionally prove a handful but in present shape looks the principal danger to NORMANDIE NIEMEN (8)
- NORMANDIE NIEMEN – Serious filly that won an Enghien Gr.2 before being disqualified when heavily-backed in a Gr.2 under these conditions a fortnight ago. Has won twice over course and distance and can add another to her tally
Summary: Richest horse in the race for good reason, and returning to racing shod, NORMANDIE NIEMEN (8) can make a big splash on her monte debut, but she will have to contend with NINJA DE L’ENVOL (7), who returns to the course and distance of her Gr.1 Prix d’Essai victory in June. NESPERA (5), who recently got the better of Pascal Castel’s horse, and NEW MONEY (4), who is reunited with Mathieu Mottier, can fight it out for the minor places.

C7 – PRIX CURSA – 2175m (a1m1/4) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 40,000 - NOMADE VRIE – Fifth in a Class E at Les Sables D’Olonne over 2,650m on 3 September. Races with pads for the first time but still seems to be out of her depth
- NATURE D’ECHAL – Got the summer off to a good start, but out of the picture in last two, most recently unplaced in a 2700m Class D here on 26 August. Has been freshly reconfigured but is still not a priority
- NICE AND FORTUNE – Showed her form after being disqualified in a Laval Class E a fortnight ago. Sports pads again and, on good behaviour, can contest the finish
- NELEA MIP – Won a Class E at Divonne over 2,600m on 18 August, on first start following a spell, only to be placed 2nd after an inquiry. Takes a notable step up in category though and is unlikely to spring any surprises
- NOHA JOSSELYN – Made up for Vibraye sanction before returning to victorious ways in an Erbray Class E in late-August. Is competitively-shod for the first time and Benjamin Rochard will be justifiably confident of a repeat
- NYALA BILOU – Complicated filly that ran reassuring 3rd in a Cabourg Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Has already won for her trainer but would have better prospects racing right-handed
- NATIVITY QUICK – Unplaced in a Class B at La Capelle over 2,750m on 2 September. Has failed to make good on her early promise and can be passed over
- NIGHT DU SAPTEL – Third in a Class D at Vincennes over 2,700m on 26 August. Has improved with every run, should appreciate this shorter trip, and is unlikely to disappoint
- NUIT DE MAI – Has evident ability but is never far from losing her action, as she showed in a 2150m Enghien Class D a month ago, and others easier to trust
- NINA DAIDOU – Could well have imposed earlier this month in a 2700m claimer here had she been afforded a run. Alexandre Abrivard is back in the bike and will be no soft touch if he keeps her out of harm’s way
- NUTTY DREAM – Got off the mark in a Class E at Le Mans in late-July. Has twice lost her action since, but with some luck in running could get a look in
- NIKITA SLY – Finished 2nd in a Class E at Chatelaillon over 2,625m on 29 July. Sports 4 pads for the first time and should not be underestimated
- NEPTUNE D’AVE – Won a Class E at Argentan over 2,150m on 16 August. Goes left-handed for the first time, with her handler in the bike, and considering the entry must be taken seriously
Summary: NOHA JOSSELYN (5), proven on turf and sporting front pads for her Vincennes bow, NINA DAIDOU (10), most unlucky here 10 days ago, and NICE AND FORTUNE (3), provided she stays in stride, look better bets than recent winner NEPTUNE D’AVE (13).

C8 – PRIX LUCRETIA – 2100m (a1m1/4) – – Harness – EUR € 40,000 - MELOPE DU GOUTIER – Superb during the spring but well-beaten in last 2. Alexandre Abrivard in the bike this time and, already a main-track winner, must be respected
- MI FA SOL – Quality filly that was disqualified at Cabourg a fortnight ago on her first start for 2.5 months. Will only have improved for the run and is well placed to make a big splash
- MALVINA MADRIK – Finished 9th in a Class C at Enghien over 2,875m on 18 July. Has had time to freshen back up, has been handed a good number, and Mathieu Mottier will be keen to set the record straight
- MOUSTACHE – Has not been seen out since running 7th in a Class B at Vichy over 2,200m on 15 June. Will have been specifically prepared for this and from the 4 slot is unlikely to disappoint
- MUSIQUE CLASSIQUE – Gave a good account on re-entry when fifth in a Carentan Class D in mid-August. Will have come on for the run but is taking on too much this time
- MERRY – Fifth in a Class C at Laval over 2,850m on 19 August. Should be at peak fitness by now, appreciates these conditions, and will be no pushover
- MILANTERA – Handy dual-discipline filly returning to a track she likes but was disqualified in last 2 and will first need to reassure
- MAJESTE DAB – Made it three wins in four starts when come comfortably securing a Class D over course and distance three weeks ago, and despite the wide draw can still impose
- MILADY MADRIK – Successful in a Claimer at Enghien over 2,150m on 29 June. Is out of her category here though and will have an unenviable draw to overcome
- MOSCANTIDA PEAL – Finished 6th in a Class E at La Capelle over 2,700m on 2 September and would have better prospects in the claiming category
- MERIBEL – Serious filly but has not been seen since February and can be ruled out
- MIA DE SIMM – Finished 4th in a Class D at Enghien over 2,875m on 13 August. Always gives her best, and pleased last time here, but the draw will do her no favours
- MORNING PRAYER – Lost her action when going good-guns in a 2150m Enghien Class D on 29 July. Got off the mark here just over a year ago and, in spite of a poor draw, must not be overlooked
- MIROITANTE DE PADD – Victorious in a Class E at Les Sables D’Olonne over 2,775m on 26 August. Makes Vincennes debut in super form and will not be far off the mark if Matthieu Abrivard successfully negotiates the start
- MENTHE FRAICHE – Fourth in a Class D at Enghien over 2,875m 2 months ago. Has form at the venue but is simply not up to the task required of her
- MANDRAGORA FLEURY – Placed 3 times on turf before being eliminated in a Cabourg Class F a fortnight ago. Is in serious company here and the draw only compounds matters
- MERCEDES DU LOISIR – Returns to Vincennes after running 3rd in an Enghien Class D a month ago but is out of her depth here
- MOLLY DU VALLON – Finished 3rd in a Class B at Lisieux over 2,725m on 29 August. Has pulled a poor number but is clearly here for reasons of conditioning and can be passed over
Summary: MAJESTE DAB (8), drawn wide but in cracking form, MI FA SOL (2), competitively-shod following a freshener, MERRY (6), who is clearly back on the right road, and the returning MOUSTACHE (4), who can get straight back in the game, can be considered before MALVINA MADRIK (3) who will be reunited with Mathieu Mottier.

- GREY WOLF – Better effort to be 2nd at this track over 2400m in a handicap on August 31 last time. Live chance of scoring
Summary: GREY WOLF (15) races off the foot of the handicap and has solid claims of getting off the mark after a pleasing second at this track when last seen on August 31. His main threat could be MY HABITUDE (3), who won on his penultimate start at Le Lion D’Angers late in August and was far from below par on his latest start when fifth on August 29 at Clairefontaine in a competitive handicap. PADOVA (5) ran her best race to date when she was fourth in a handicap last time and this lightly raced filly can not be excluded.SIR PATRICK (4) looks best of the remainder.

Summary: KANEWKO (9) ran well to be third in a maiden last time in mid-August at Vichy and can get off the mark on his handicap bow. His main danger could be GOLDEN KNIGHT (10), who is making his handicap debut after two recent fourth placed efforts in a maiden and a Class 3 race. Summary: The lightly raced TAMISE (7) has solid claims after a good second at Vichy in a Class 3 handicap in late July. She faces some strong opposition, particularly REMENBER CHOPE (3), who won with something in hand at Le Lion d’Angers in early August when stepping up to Class 2 level. NADIR (10) could be an interesting each-way option, while VADIROUMA (1) also merits consideration on her return from a layoff, having been pulled up with an injury on her latest start on the PSF in March.

- OROPENDOLA – A moderate 7th in a Claimer over 1,300m at Chantilly on September. His best run was a third place over 1400m at Dieppe
- SABIRA – Finished 7th in a Maiden at Le Touquet over 1,300m on 16 August 2026. That was not a great debut as there were only eight runners, but she could show some improvement with that experience under her belt

- LA BARAKA – Finished third in a Claimer over 1,300m at Chantilly on 4 September. Did well when dropped back to 1300m last time on the all-weather and could be right there having been supplemented into this race
- TOOCOOLTOBECOOL – Threatening to win and was runner-up in a Maiden at Pompadour over 1,200m on 30 August 2026. That was a great follow up to her Claimer win at Vichy and she should have more to offer
- MORO NAABA – A disappointing 8th in a Handicap over 1,600m at Lyon-Parilly on 2 September. Has shown little so far and is best overlooked
- APPEN – Came home 9th in a Maiden at Clairefontaine over 1,400m on 21 August 2026. She was claimed after winning her penultimate start and deserves another chance
- FIZZY – A decent fourth in a Claimer over 1,000m at Moulins on 8 August. Based on her last run she should benefit from racing over the longer distance
- ONE SHOT – Unplaced in a Maiden at Deauville over 1,200m on 30 August 2026. All three runs have been poor so cannot be taken seriously
- SKYWARDS – Came home 8th in a Maiden at Pompadour over 1,200m on 30 August 2026. Finished tailed off in that debut run and will need to make massive improvement to feature
- BAILYCHKA – Finished 4th in a Claimer over 1,600m at Vichy on 3 August. Showed greeness on her debut run and should come on from there
- OBSCURE – Finished 5th in a Maiden at Pompadour over 1,200m on 9 August 2026. She was unlucky in her penultimate start over this distance and clearly found 1200m too short last time
Summary: TOOCOOLTOBECOOL (5) should lead the pack in this race after following up a win in a Claimer with a promising second in a Maiden. She displays fighting qualities and looks the one to beat. The main threat should come from APPEN (7) who has also won at this level and should improve on her last start. OBSCURE (12) has the benefit of a light weight and makes her Claimer debut. LA BARAKA (4) ran well last time and has been supplemented into this race.

- GALILEE DREAM – Did not show much when eighth in a Class 3 Handicap over 1,800m at Clairefontaine on 9 August. Will need to improve on recent form to have any chance
- EL PROFESSOR CHOP – Won in a Class 3 Handicap at Clairefontaine over 1,400m on 21 August 2026. Led all the way to win that race but will battle to confirm the form with runner-up CIACCINO (8)

- NIIA – Finished 5th in a Class 4 Handicap at Clairefontaine over 1,600m on 14 August 2026. Has been in reasonable form and is not without a place chance
- CIACCINO – Excellent runner-up in a Class 3 Handicap at Clairefontaine over 1,400m on 21 August 2026. Beaten just one length by EL PROFESSOR CHOP (5) and is now much better off at the weights so should easily turn that around

- GARMI – Excellent runner-up in a Class 4 Handicap at La Teste De Buch over 1,600m on 10 August 2026. Was beaten 2.5 lengths in that event and has won her only start at this track, but that was in 2024

- ATLANTA – Came home 8th in a Class 4 Handicap at La Teste De Buch over 1,600m on 10 August 2026. Has her work cut out to have a say in this event
Summary: MARQUISE VERA (13) had to overcome a wide draw when fourth at Mont-de-Marsan but was finishing powerfully. This time she is drawn well and has been supplemented into the race. CIACCINO (8) looked good when a one-length second last time and will be ridden by Lorette Gallo who will take a further 1.5kg off his back. EL PROFESSOR CHOP (5) will battle on form after landing a penalty for his last win but should still feature prominently. KAVAKNEY (12) has a good record at this course.

- PENNYGRAPHIE – Finished 2nd in a Maiden at Pompadour over 1,600m on 30 August 2026. She does face stronger but could place
Summary: This is quite an open event as many of the runners have some competitive form. However, MAYA CHOP (3) was a gallant winner last time and will again have the advantage of Ambre Molins’ weight allowance. THE CAT’S (12) was not far off the selection last time and is weighted to challenge that result. DRACO (8) improved in his first run for a new trainer and should have more to come. LIGHT WAKEUP (9) won well last time and part of his penalty will be offset by Delphine Santiago’s weight allowance.

- LACRA – Outclassed the opposition in a Maiden at Du Lion D’Angers over 2,400m on 9 August 2026. She won well by 0,75 lengths and could place in this field
Summary: EBIYAR (2) looked to have a bright future when winning on debut but has failed to live up to expectations. However, he is classy and looks set to claim another victory. He finished ahead of SUMACO (3) in their last run but the latter has proven his ability over this sort of distance and should provide the main challenge.
